Hi, I’m not sure if you still write for the batfamily but can I request them and a sick teen reader, who’s also in the batfamily and a vigilante with them and they get sick but refuse to rest
Batfam with a sick teen reader
Headcanons
Tumblr media
I like to imagine the reader is the best and worst part of different batfam members combined into one person. Meaning he gives the family heart attacks on the regular.
You weren’t the oldest, or the youngest, member of the batfam. You were only a few months younger than Tim, making you older than Damian but younger than the others.
You were the 13th child of a great warrior who had built a group of expert warriors, think like the league of assassins but smaller and more lowkey.
Because of your tough upbringing, and your siblings always outshining you, you have always felt a deep need to show no weakness and appear stronger than you are.
This means you work extremely hard to be a great member of the batclan, going by the name Red Bat. It had started out as a joke, as you wore a helmet that appeared to have the same ears as Bruces, but was red in color. It hadn’t been on purpose, but you had come to like the name.
The family are impressed with how hard you work, though it also worries them because you work yourself to the bone sometimes, never accepting failure and punishing yourself when you don’t do good, by your own standards.
In the beginning when you joined the family, you had some struggles with Damian, Tim, and Duke, as they are the closest to your age, and you are so used to having to claw yourself into the light, to get any positive attention from a father figure or to stand out.
So, it caused some tension, but after you started settling in and you all started bonding, it went away for the most part. A small part of your soul, deeply hidden inside, still feels like you aren’t good enough and never will be, and there might be some faint jealousy of the rest of the family. It doesn’t get in the way of you loving them all though.
Bettering your relationship with the family hasn’t slowed down your excessive training though, or how roughly you treat yourself. Cass ends up having to just resort hugging you until you allow yourself to relax. Damian will train with you, but does it with the purpose of tiring you out without causing any damage. If anybody knows what it’s like, it’s Cass and Damian, so they never blame you.
Because of your extremely high standards for yourself, you never slow down, even when you are sick. You’ll go as long as possible, hiding your sickness from the family until you literally can’t anymore.
And even then, you keep pushing yourself and brushing off their concern. The only one who seemingly can pull you away from your spiral with no struggle, is Alfed, because its Alfred, and no one goes against Alfred.
The rest of the family would try different ways to make you rest.
Dick would wrap a weighted blanket around you when you are at the batcomputer, and lean against you as you work, just telling you about his day. It works sometimes, because you always feel safe around him, so if you are already exhausted and drowsy, it can put you out.
Jason hovers in the background too, maybe brings you some of your favorite food from downtown, sits nearby. If you are really sick, he will scold you in the way he does, prodding at you till you go to bed to rest. If its really bad, he will throw you over his shoulder and force you to rest.
Cass is always the first to spot when you are sick, and always gives you small, disappointed frowns when you push yourself too hard, and her reaction probably makes your heart ache the most. She pulls you from your work to watch a movie with her, making sure to wrap you in blankets and keep you close until you fall asleep.
Tim is the type to sit beside you when you work, since hes not the pinnacle of health most times too. Might use it as a “if you go rest, I will to” to force you to go, since you love your brother very much and want him to get better too. The rest of the fam regularly finds you guys passed out over a case together.
Duke hovers too, brings you medicine and will talk to you about his day to keep you distracted from whatever is keeping you awake and active. He understands pushing yourself even when you are sick, and knows that forcing you to go rest wont help, so he tries to subtly push you in that direction instead of pushing you.
Damian scowls nearby, probably gives you some speech about how being sick will make you less lethal and weaker, and then you can’t do your job as Red Bat at all. Resorts to dumping different batclan animals on you until you have no choice. You end up laying against batcow, Jerry the turkey beside you, Alfred the cat in your lap, Titus and Ace laying around you, you get the point.
Bruce looms and hovers, since he’s not the best with words. Its easy to tell he’s worried when he keeps pacing near you or keeping an eye on you. Will matter of factly tell you that you need rest, brings you a blanket or other comfort items.
If you try to run off on patrol, Barbara is quick to tell the others what you are up too. If you are really sick, they’ll whisk you back to the manor kicking and screaming if they have too, as being extremely sick can put you at risk.
If its milder, they’ll just hover nearby and keep a close eye on you and your physical state.
The first few times it happened, it caused a huge argument because of your inability to let yourself rest, and because that sick twisted part inside you was sure it was because they saw you as weak or a burden, like your first siblings did, since there was no excuse for weakness in your first family.
It results in them, and especially Bruce because he’s the one you look up to the most, having to sit down with you and explain that there’s nothing wrong with being sick or so called “weak”, and that its okay to take a rest when you need it.
It also results in the rest of the family having to lead by example, because you’ll always snip and point out how they’re not resting when they are sick, so why should you.
Alfred thanks the circumstances and that the family all love each other so much, he’s been trying to get the batfam try to take breaks and rest when sick for years, and now that they must be someone you can look up too, they’ll actually do it.
It becomes kind of a game to force the sick family members to rest, lotsa blanket burritos and the sick person always ends up with Alfred the cat curled up on their chest purring somehow. Its especially fun when its Bruce that’s sick, because you all have to hound him an extra amount for him to take care of himself.

Cassian and you were currently laying on the floor of the training rings on the House of Winds rooftop—chests heaving after sparring for hours—Cassian wearing a lopsided grin.
“Cauldron boil me, I never should’ve agreed to do this,” you groaned in between pants.
The General of the Night Court huffed a laugh before he turned his head to look at you. Hands behind your head, chest heaving, legs bent, hair messy and a sheen of sweat making you almost glow in the light of setting sun. You were beautiful.
Cassian and you had met almost six months ago at Rita’s after Feyre had finally convinced you to go out with the Inner Circle.
Your older brother and his mate owned the bookstore that was part cafe and part flower shop, right next to her art studio. And they had recently welcomed a baby, their first, and asked if you could run the bookstore for a while.
Most of their customers knew who you were, but more than a few didn’t. And to your mortification, you would have to explain to them who you were and why you were running the place for the time being.
You were still wringing your hands, face still embarrassingly red, after explaining to a rude customer that you weren't sure when your brother would return, when Feyre came in asking about them.
“Hello,” she looked around the shop, no doubt looking for your brother or his mate, “Is Flynn not in today? I haven’t seen him in a couple of days or Sera.”
You went to answer and to your chargin, you stuttered. Violently, if that was even a way to describe it, but to be completely honest it was the only way to describe it. Never in your life have you stuttered so badly.
In your defense, a new book was released so there was an influx of customers. Regulars and new, and you have always been shy towards everyone—except your brother and his mate—especially strangers.
Feyre gave you a patient look, letting out a shaky breath you opened your mouth to tell her about your brother and his mate, when he walked in. “Hey, bub, how’s business?” His voice booming through the small shop.
You visibly sagged in relief, “Thank the Mother’s tits.”
Flynn only laughed, “Oh, come on. It can’t be that bad, bub,” he teased.
The shop was closing in thirty minutes, so you told him he could close since you’d embarrassed yourself enough for him today. He gave you an apologetic smile and chuckled, “Fair enough. We appreciate you,” he said sincerely.
You gave him a small smile and nodded your head, giving Feyre the same smile and a little wave goodbye and made your way towards the door. You were almost free, when Feyre, started calling out for you. “Y/N! Y/N! Y/N!”
Turning around, eyes wide. “Wait, I need to ask you something!”
“Uhm, all right?”
“Flynn, told me that your grandfather was Illyrian and that he made sure to train your mother to fight and to train you both too. But, he also said that he taught you different fighting styles.”
You shifted from one foot to the other, “Yeah, what about it?”
“Well, I was wondering if you could come and train with us at the House of Wind. I would love to see—“
You rubbed the back of your neck, nervously. “Us?”
“Yeah, if you don’t mind. It would be Rhys, Cass, Az, Mor and me.” She explained, she looked so excited.
She wanted you to train with the Inner Circle. You. “Uhm, yeah. Sure, I guess.”
She pulled you into a bone crushing hug, “Thank the cauldron!” When she realized what she was doing she pulled away, “Sorry. Sorry. We’re all going out to Rita’s tonight, meet us there so you can get to know everyone.”
You nodded your head hesitantly, but agreed nonetheless.
As soon as you walked into Rita’s Feyre rushed to greet you and everyone was so welcoming and nice. And you're pretty sure Flynn had told Feyre about how shy you were and she had probably told the rest of the Inner Circle too. Not that you minded because it’s just who you are, you were always anxious around new people and in new places and got easily flustered or overwhelmed.
Yet, fighting had come naturally to you. Flynn always said he could never understand that part of you, how you were so introverted, but fought in the fighting pits in the Illyrian Camps.
You don’t know how you did it either, you just did.
So when Rhys flew you up to the House of Wind the next day and you sparred with everyone they were all impressed to say the least. You had all agreed that you would spar with everyone until one of you got the other to tap. You got Feyre to tap in 30 seconds, Mor in two minutes, Rhys in seven, Az in ten and Cassian in twelve.
You had gotten the Lord of Bloodshed on the ground and you wrestled a bit before he tapped. Standing up first and when you had looked down at him, offering him your hand to help him up, the bond snapped into place.
For the both of you.
And you turned the same shade of red as the siphons atop his hands when he just stared at you. After it first happened you were in shock and were thinking about rejecting it, because you were scared to say the least, but he gave you space to think.
Flynn told you that you were blessed by the Mother for having found your mate and he was right, but you were just so hesitant. You didn’t even know the male and he was your mate. Unbeknownst to you he had immediately felt your feelings flow through the mating bond and swore to himself to patiently court you.
He would take things slow and at your own pace.
Which was how you’d gotten into sparring dates. You’d both felt more comfortable in the fighting ring so you made a bargain. You’d spar on the roof of the House of Wind while asking each other simple questions to get to know each other and then you’d talk about more intimate things after.
Your mate had gone quiet, turning to face him, you saw he was staring at you unabashedly and you blushed. It didn’t matter that it had been six months, he always made you blush. Whether he simply looked at you, said something or you just thought of him. You always did.
He always said that you looked pretty whenever you blushed because of him. That he loved that he could always make you flustered. And loved when you tore your gaze away because then he had an excuse to touch you, so he could grip your chin and make you meet his eyes.
Which is what was happening now.
He chuckled before his rough calloused hand was cupping the side of your face, turning you to face him, “You can’t hide from me, sweetheart,” he teased. Your hands clenched around nothing as you felt butterflies in your belly and closed your eyes. Making your mate howl with laughter at your antics. “So you can kick my ass, but can’t look at me.” He said between laughs.
Your voice came out meeker than you wanted, “Yup.” A small smile on your lips as the sound of his mirthful laughter filled you ears again.
You heard rustling and movement like he was standing up, but then he was kissing you. Your lips slightly parting with a soft moan as they met, his tongue swept over your bottom lip before exploring your mouth. Resting your hands on his bare tattooed chest, his hands slid down, roving over your body, squeezing your tits firmly.
Moaning into his mouth as he did so and he squeezed harder before wrapping his hand around your throat.
Hesitantly palming him through the pants of his fighting leathers, making a growl fall from his lips. The sound had you squeezing your thighs together for some type of friction.
Palming him again, this time more confidently, but he pulled back. Giving you a panty dropping grin as he shook his head. “Not yet, sweetheart.”
Cassian hoisted you up, your legs instinctively wrapping around his waist as his hands held you up by your ass. Walking you back into the House of Wind and into his room.
Once you got to his room he sat on his huge bed—big enough to accommodate his large wings and then some—and kept you firmly seated on his lap. Your eyes scanning his face and without realizing it you were smiling at him.
He grinned back, “What?”
“Nothing,” you murmured quietly.
“Tell me.”
You sighed softly, “I—I really want to be with you but,” you looked down at your hands while you picked at your fingers. It was something you did whenever you were nervous or anxious.
Cassian looked down and saw that your left thumb was going to be picked raw soon and grabbed your hands, stopping you. He gave them a reassuring squeeze before bringing them up to his kiss-swollen lips and kissed them.
Gold hazel eyes meet yours with a familiar warmth as he sent love down the bond, calming you.
“But. . . what?” He questioned.
Your voice was barely a whisper, “I don’t know what you like or want and I don’t—I don’t. . . ugh I don’t know.”
“Do you want to know what I like? What I want, sweetheart?”
I didn’t say anything, only nodding my head for him to continue.
“All right. I’ll tell you what I like and want,” he brushed your hair back, out of your face, “If you tell me what you like and what you want." Your face felt like it was on fire, breath hitching and Cassian wore a smug smirk on his face at seeing the effect his words had on you.
You swallowed thickly, settling onto his lap to be more comfortable, “You first.”
His eyes darkened. “I like you, I want you. But what I really want is you on your knees, looking up at me with your big doe eyes as I fuck your mouth,” he swiped his thumb over your lips. “Until you’re crying and drooling because of me, is that all right with you, sweetheart?”
Your heartbeat quickened, “Yes.”
“Good girl. Now tell your mate what you want,” he ordered.
“I want you to be a “good boy” and let me ride you until you’re begging me to let you cum inside me,” You said quietly, looking at the swirls tattooed onto his chest.
He tilted your chin up and tutted, “Speak up, sweetheart.”
Your eyes met his. “I want you to be a “good boy” and let me ride you until you’re begging me to let you cum inside me,” you said again louder this time, keeping your eyes locked on his.
His pupils dilated and you felt him harden beneath you at your words and thoughtlessly rubbed your clothed cunt on him. “I’ll do whatever you want, you only have to ask,” he promised. His voice rough with need.
“Promise?” You breathed.
“Promise. . . I’ll do whatever you want." He swore.
You leaned forward to kiss him, silently letting him know you would do whatever he wanted too. Grinding down harder onto him as his hands gripped your ass and then he was pulling your shirt over your head along with your bra. Then he was swirling his tongue around your hardened nipple making you let out a sharp exhale before sucking on them harshly.
You let out a loud hiss when he nipped at them roughly, back arching, “Was I too rough? Did I hurt you?”
“No,” you breathed. “I love it when you’re rough, because even when you are rough there’s a gentleness to it. I don’t know how to explain, but it’s perfect. I just want you to always be touching me.”
He kissed you again while his large calloused hands gripped your hips. Moving you at the pace he wanted, making us both moan at the feeling. “I want you on all fours. So I can pull your hair and slap your ass raw. I want to see my handprint in the same color of red you are when I make you blush.” You let out a loud moan at his words, clenching around nothing.
You bit your bottom lip so hard, that you tasted blood on your tongue, letting out a shaky breath, “I want you to call me your “perfect your little slut” while you spit in my mouth and fuck me until I can’t think. And when we’re done I want to be covered in you.”
Cassian threw his head back, screwing his eyes shut as he groans, “Gods, you’re gonna be the death of me.” A wet spot forming on his fighting leathers from our arousal.
“At least you’ll die a happy male.”

Like Brothers Part 2
A Reverse Batfamily Fic
Summary: Dick continues to try to be like his brothers. This can result in both positive and negative feelings.
Tumblr media
Jason read a lot of books, Dick noted.
His older brother didn’t seem to discriminate between what he read either. It felt like every time Dick saw him, he had a new book in his hand. Dick noted everything from Goosebumps, to YA novels, to more of what Jason called “the classics.”
Dick had read a few of the books that he had seen Jason with at some point, like Magic Treehouse and Nancy Drew, but Dick wasn’t sure what the appeal was of the bigger books that Jason read. They looked pretty boring, with no pictures and fancy words. But Jason seemed to enjoy them, so maybe they were fun?
He had overheard Alfred telling Bruce that Dick needed a hobby other than being Robin. Reading was a hobby, wasn’t it? Maybe he should see what all the fuss was about.
There was just one problem.
“Jay? What does ‘chastised’ mean?”
Dick stared up at his brother and pointed at the word in his book. Normally, Dick would go to Tim for questions about English words, but Jason was the expert at reading, so maybe he should have been going to his youngest older brother all along.
Jason glanced away from his homework and over at Dick, eyebrows shooting up in surprise to see the book he was reading last week in his younger brother’s hand. “Uh, to scold someone.”
“What does ‘scold’ mean?”
“Uh…basically telling someone that what they just did or said was bad.”
“Ohhh! Okay! Thanks, Jay!” Dick ran in for a quick hug before skipping away, nose buried in the book.
Jason blinked, momentarily forgetting his homework as he stared after Dick. He preened to himself after a moment, realizing that Dick had come to him for a question. Dick was unaware (or at least they believed he was unaware), but there was an ongoing competition between his siblings for who the youngest went to the most each month for advice or questions or comfort after a nightmare. Usually, Damian or Tim would be in the lead, but it seems like Jason might start moving up the board.
Jason grinned to himself and turned back to his homework. This would definitely be something to rub in Tim’s face later.
Tumblr media
Later came a lot sooner than Jason expected.
“Jay? What does ‘in-num-ray-bil’ mean?”
Quiet enveloped the living room as all chatter ceased. Tim’s head turned so fast from where he had been talking to Steph that Jason swore he heard something crack. Jason opened his mouth to answer, a smirk growing on his parted lips as he looked at Tim when said brother interrupted.
“Do you mean ‘innumerable,’ Dick? It means that there’s too many to count.”
Dick frowned at the teen. “I was asking Jay, Timmy. It’s rude to interrupt.”
Steph barked out a laugh before clapping a hand over her mouth. Cass, who sat next to her on the couch, smacked her shoulder in admonishment, though she too was fighting to keep a smile off her face. Even Damian’s lips twitched. It was always entertaining to see Timothy being knocked down a peg.
Tim was gobsmacked. “Um, right…Sorry, Dick.”
“Sorry, Jason.”
Now, Tim was gritting his teeth. “Right. Sorry, Jason.”
“You’re forgiven.” Jason shot Tim a smirk and turned to Dick. “It’s pronounced ‘innumerable’ and it means that there’s too many to count.”
Even Damian, who was sitting in an armchair with a book, couldn’t help but snort. Stephanie’s hand was the only thing keeping Tim on the couch.
“Thanks, Jay!” Dick said brightly. He went over to Damian and crawled into the man’s lap to continue reading his book. The older man rolled his eyes but said nothing.
Jason could feel Tim’s glare and knew that he’d be answering for the supposed transgression in training, but it was totally worth it.
He stuck his tongue out at Tim for good measure, though.
Tumblr media
And that was how it went for the next couple of weeks. Dick would go to Jason to ask him a question about a word or phrase, and Jason would answer, shooting Tim a smirk or grin if the teen was in the room too. If he wasn’t, Jason would text him about it. He could tell it was getting under Tim’s skin, and Jason was taking great pleasure in it.
One night, Jason saw Tim leaving Dick’s room. Jason opened his mouth to make another jab when he noticed the dejected look on Tim’s face. His head and shoulders were hanging lower as well, and Jason frowned. “Tim?”
Jason saw Tim tense, but the older boy did not stop and continued walking back to his room. “Not now, Jason.”
Jason followed after him. “No, seriously. What’s wrong? Is something wrong with Dick?”
“I don’t know. Is there?” Jason faltered as Tim turned a glare towards him. “You two seem to be BFFs recently.”
“What?”
Tim let out a harsh breath and pinched the bridge of his nose. “Dick stopped asking me to read to him before bed. He said something about needing to read alone.” He sent another glare Jason’s way. “Did you say something? I don’t know what I did to you, but you didn’t have to turn Dick against me—”
“Whoa, what? I didn’t do anything!” Jason felt a pang in his chest at being accused by his brother and took an involuntary step back.
“No? Then why is he suddenly going to you all the time for help with words? I’m the one that’s been helping him with his English. He used to come to me for that. He used to ask me to read to him at night, but he started without me tonight, and it’s—it’s like he wants nothing to do with me anymore.”
“Maybe he’s just getting older?”
“No. He goes to you now. I wouldn’t be surprised if he starts asking you to read to him.” Tim let out another harsh sigh and stalked off, throwing back, “Just…leave me alone.”
Jason stood in the hall, watching Tim storm away. Tears pricked at his eyes, never having been chastised like that by his older brother. Did Tim hate him now?
This wasn’t fun anymore. Jason needed to find out what was going on with Dick. He knew he didn’t start whatever this was, and he sure as hell wasn’t going to get blamed for it.
Jason peeked his head into Dick’s room and found his younger brother sitting up in bed, reading the latest Warrior Cats book that Tim had previously been reading to him. Dick looked up and beamed when he saw Jason.
“Jay! Perfect! What’s a rah-vine?”
Jason gave a hesitant smile back and walked into the room, sitting next Dick on his bed. “It’s pronounced ‘rah-veen’, and it’s like a valley with really tall cliffs on either side of it.”
“Oh! Thanks, Jay!”
Dick went back to reading. Jason watched him for a moment, biting his lip. Finally, he spoke up, “Dick, if you’re struggling with these words, it might be easier to step down a bit and then work your way back up.”
Dick looked up, blinking in confusion. “What?”
“You’re always asking about what words mean. I’m really happy that you’re trying to learn and reading lots of books, but it’s not so fun to read when you don’t know what words mean, you know?”
“Oh.” Dick looked back down, hiding his face as much as he could with his hair. He refused to look at Jason as he asked, “Is it really annoying?”
“What?” Jason leaned back in shock. “No! Of course not! I just know that reading was never fun for me when I didn’t know what was going on.”
“But you’re always reading! You always know what’s going on!”
A lightbulb went off in Jason’s head. “Is that why you’ve been asking me instead of Tim about words? Because I read a lot?”
Dick still did not look at Jason as he nodded. Jason sighed and wrapped an arm around his younger brother.
“I know you didn’t mean to, Dickie, but you’ve made Tim pretty sad.”
Dick’s head shot up in shock, tears springing to his eyes at the thought of upsetting one of his siblings. “What?”
Jason nodded. “Yeah. He’s been pretty sad that you’re not asking him stuff and don’t want to read with him anymore. To be honest, he thinks I did something, so if you could clear that up that’d be cool.”
Dick’s lip wobbled, and he threw himself into his brother’s arms. “I’m sorry! I didn’t mean to! I just—I just wanted to be like you. You’re always reading stuff, and I wanted to see what was so interesting about reading by yourself.”
Jason felt his heart skip a beat at his brother’s words, and he pulled the boy into a tighter hug. No one had ever really looked up to Jason before. There never really was anyone around to do so. He felt his chest warm and a smile form on his face as he rested his cheek against Dick’s hair.
“Thanks, Dickie. But you don’t have to do all the stuff I do to be like me. Besides, being like me is super cool, but it’s even cooler to be like you.”
Jason felt Dick’s head shift as the boy moved to look up at him. “You mean it?”
“Totally.”
Dick rested his head against Jason’s chest. “Okay. Reading can be kinda boring anyway, especially when it’s alone.”
Jason shifted Dick so that they were facing each other, still loosely holding the boy in a hug. “Why don’t you ask Timmy to read to you? I know he was real excited to get to the end with you.”
“Yeah, okay,” Dick replied, nodding. I wanna say sorry too.” Dick leaned in once more to give his brother another hug before grabbing his book and running out of the room. “Thanks, Jay!”
Jason smiled, satisfied that he had fixed the situation.
Tim would later come to him and apologize for being so harsh to him. Jason would forgive him, of course—he would have been pretty upset too—and they would come to an agreement about helping Dick.
Not before Jason got his revenge with an epic prank, of course. But that was a story for another day.

WFA Jason or Dick (your choice) Dating Damian's teacher Imagine pleaseth
Dick Grayson x Male!reader
Tumblr media
Damian Wayne was an interesting student to say the least and when you called his father in for a parent teacher conference you were quite surprised when a handsome man about your age showed up instead of the Bruce Wayne you frequently saw on TV.
"I'm sorry are you a parent?" You ask him.
"Oh no I'm Damian Wayne's brother Dick, our father Bruce wasn't able to make it so he asked me to come instead," he explains.
"Well as nice as it is to meet you Dick I called your father in to talk about some of Damians… behavior issues which I should really talk to Bruce himself about," he states.
"Don't worry he's just as frustrating at home, he knows he's smarter than most people and has a big head because of it… you should see him argue with our other brother Jason, pretty funny actually when he confuses Jason with big words but anyways, we have a very… close family and we all take part in raising Damian so whatever you have to say to Bruce you can say to me too," Dick tells you.
Damn was he charming.
"Okay well have a seat then," you say.
You guys ended up talking for over an hour which consisted a lot of Dick telling you about their crazy family antics making you laugh harder than you had in a long time.
"This is probably really weird to ask but would you like to get dinner with me sometime Mr. Y/L/N?" He asks boldly with a smile you just couldn't say no to.
"I usually have a no dating my students parents policy but since you aren't a parent… I would love to and please call me Y/N," you smile back at him.
"It's a date Y/N," he says happily.
After a few dates you became officially boyfriends but you decided it was best to keep your relationship with Dick a secret until it got more serious.
Though Jason found out a month in because he has a habit of going through Dicks phone to annoy his older brother and stumbled upon some flirty texts between you two.
After six months you and Dick agreed it was time to tell his family so Dick set up a dinner telling them he would be introducing them to his new boyfriend.
Jason was particularly excited to see Damian's reaction and of course he started filming when there was a knock at the door
"Everyone, I'd like to introduce you to my boyfriend… Y/N," Dick says cheerfully.
"Richard! You're dating my teacher!" Damian shouts.
Tim chuckles and whispers to Stephanie, "guess we're getting a dinner and a show."
The entire dinner Damian was glaring at Dick while the others were trying to get to know you.
"So Y/N how long have you been a teacher?" Barbara asks.
"This is only my second year teaching," you reply.
"How fun, you get to deal with a problem child like Damian early on in your career," Jason teases.
"Damian certainly isn't a problem he just doesn't exactly like to socialize with the other kids," you say wanting to assure Bruce you didn't think negatively of his son.
"Because they are learning basic algebra I already know advanced Calculus," Damian scoffs.
"Bruce, have you ever considered enrolling Damian in the gifted program?" You ask.
"I have but Damian can learn whatever he wants at home but the only way for him to spend time with kids his own age is at school," Bruce explains.
"Plus if Damian had been in the gifted program I never would have met you," Dick says leaning in and kissing you sweetly.
Damian rolls his eyes while Cass and Duke aw at how cute you and Dick are.
At the end of the dinner Dick walks you out to your car.
"I hope my family didn't scare you off," he jokes.
"Your family is great Dick, I just don't want to make things awkward with Damian at school," you tell him.
"Damian will get over it he always does and besides the school year is almost over in a few months you won't even be his teacher anymore," Dick says.
"Well… they are actually thinking of bumping me up a grade next year so there's a chance I'll have him again in the fall," you chuckle.
"I'll talk to him, promise," Dick laughs kissing you goodnight before you get in your car and drive off.
Dick heads up to Damians room where he finds him throwing daggers into a target on the wall.
"Okay Damian be honest with me, do you actually have a problem with me dating your teacher," Dick questions.
"Of course not, I actually like Mr. Y/L/N, he's far better than my teacher last year," Damian replies.
"So then why were you giving me the death glare all night?" Dick says confused.
"Because Richard, what if you screw things up and I can't go to his after school extra credit study sessions anymore, I consider those people acquaintances and some of them are even intelligent," Damian states.
"Hold on, why do you assume I would be the one to screw things up? You know what, not the point, anyways, if for whatever reason Y/N and I were to break up we would never let it affect you or your education. Most of your future teachers are not going to be as understanding of you as Y/N is so we gotta take advantage of a good teacher while we can," Dick jokes.
"Good. Do not break his heart Richard," Damian says throwing a dagger past Dicks ear and into the target behind him which doesn't even phase Dick.
"Again why am I bad guy in this hypothetical situation??" Dick huffs.
"You have a good talk boys?" Jason says strutting into Damians room.
"Jason you have got to stop snooping," Dick sighs.
"How else am I supposed to know about my brother's secret boyfriends before everyone else," Jason grins.
"Wait you knew Richard was dating my teacher this whole time?" Damian huffs.
"Gotta go… patrol stuff," Jason says awkwardly exiting the room.
Well at least Dick would be happy to report to you that Damian approved of your relationship.

Reverse Batfam AU
I don't have all of the Batfam in this line-up because I don't know them at all. There are some that I'm not in any way confident I could characterise so I might make a second version of this with the more well known Batfam members and exclude Duke, Steph, Cass, and Barbara. But, for now I do like my idea. I'm not planning to write a fic or anything with this so if anyone wants to use this specifically, go ahead.
But this is extremely long so everything's under the read more link.
I had to mess around with ages quite a bit because otherwise things do not fit at all. I did want them to come into the family in reverse order as well as reverse their ages.
Age differences: Duke->Damian - 1 year younger Damian->Steph - 4 years older Steph->Tim - 1 year younger Tim->Cass - 3 years older Cass->Jason - 6 months younger Jason->Dick - 4 years older Dick->Barbara - 1 year older
Oldest to youngest: Damian, Duke, Tim, Steph, Jason, Cass, Dick, Barbara
Ages when Dick arrived: Dick 8, Cass 12, Jason 12, Tim 15, Steph 14, Damian 18, Duke 17
Ages when Barbara joined: Barbara 14, Dick 15, Cass 18, Jason 19, Tim 21, Steph 20, Damian 24, Duke 23
Their Stories:
Duke Thomas- The first ward since he was taken in after Damian in canon (as far as I remember). Got into hero business at around the age of 9 because his parents got caught in a Joker attack and he created a "We Are The Knight" group consisting of kids that had suffered from the aftermath of the various villain attacks. A few years later, he became Batman's second sidekick - Signal. After moving out of Wayne manor kept the moniker and joined the Outsiders hero group. He still works with Batman but tries to keep his distance due to him being overbearing. He remembers growing up with Damian being hard, but they mended their relationship by the time Damian moved out. He survived Damian because (1) he wasn't adopted, (2) his parents are still alive, and (3) his powers.
Damian Wayne al Ghul- He took great pleasure in ridiculing Duke for everything from his hero name to his role in the family, but eventually grew to really enjoyed his younger brother's company (even though he'd never admit they were brothers or that he enjoyed Duke's company.) He became Batman's first sidekick, Shadow, (at the age of 10. he arrived 1 month after Duke.) as tribute to both his time spent in League of Shadows and his start to becoming Batman's shadow. He created a teen group outside of Gotham called the Titans (composed of him, Superboy, Raven, and Beast Boy) when he and Bruce started fighting but never quite left Gotham entirely.
Stephanie Brown- She joined the crusade as Spoiler at 11 and lasted only a year before being killed by Black Mask. However, that was enough time for Damian (16 when she died), Duke (15), and Bruce to become attached to her. Her death (and Bruce's subsequent burst of overprotection leading him to kick out Damian and Duke) caused Damian to shed the mantle of Shadow and become Nightwing. She does come back 6 months later leaving the others feeling confused and a bit betrayed, but mostly happy she wasn't actually dead. She creates the moniker Batgirl after Bruce tells her she can't be Spoiler any more.
Tim Drake- He joined the crusade at 13, 4 months after Spoiler's death, which hit Bruce really hard, caused a fight between Damian and Bruce (that ended with Damian and Duke moving out), and Batman became more violent than he had ever been. After failing to convince Damian and Duke to join Batman on patrol and stop avoiding him, he became Drake. Damian didn't like him initially, but tried to be there when Tim needed him. Damian also convinced Tim to change him moniker to Shadow because "Drake" was too close to his name to be effective at hiding his identity. Before Steph came back, he went through the Joker Jr thing and Batman and Signal helped him recover from the majority of it since Nightwing was on a Titans mission. He was just finishing up his training with Shiva when Cass joined the crusade. He was officially adopted one year later shortly after his parents died (because Steph and Cass were around to catch onto his shenanigans).
Cassandra Cain- She joined at 10 years old shortly after Tim did and shortly before Jason did. She originally called herself Orphan, but switched to Black Bat once she was adopted by Bruce.
Jason Todd- He joins a few months after Cass does (age 11) and gets adopted quickly. He and Tim get along extremely well and bond by making fun of Bruce. He takes on the moniker of Batboy when he joins the crusade. He avoids dying in Ethiopia because his siblings decided to go after him while Batman was investigating the illegal weapons trade there.
Dick Grayson- He becomes Bruce's ward at age 8. The entire Batfam was there when his parents died. Everyone's there when he shows everyone his first suit designs and the moniker he chose and why. They try very hard to convince him to choose darker colors and add more armor. He stanchly refuses because he wants his hero name and uniform to honor his parents. They do manage to convince him to add pants to the design. He convinces Alfred to make the suit with the promise that he won't go out until he has Bruce's approval. He doesn't uphold that promise and is crime fighting by the time he's 9.
Barbara Gordon- She'd been watching the bats for a few years before she decided she wanted to become a vigilante as well at age 14. She followed Batgirl for a while asking to be her sidekick or help with the tech stuff. After a few 'no's, she created her own outfit made out of Spoiler, Black Bat, and Batwoman halloween costumes. Names she came up with for herself were Red Bat, Batshadow, and Batlady. When she officially joined the group, Steph gave her the Batgirl moniker and took back the name Spoiler.

Nerdy Banter
Jason Todd X Reader (GN) Word count: 740± Warning: Profanity, innuendos
A/N: I have been binging and playing a lot of D&D in the past few months. I'm still learning about it, hope this one makes a little sense.
Tumblr media
On a late evening coming towards a long night of patrol, in the Batcave, Y/N leans back on their chair, staring at the laptop in front of them. They pinch their forehead, exhaling ever so softly.
Jason happens to walk pass them and catches a glimpse of what is shown on the laptop screen. He coughs out an amused sound. Hearing that, Y/N quickly turns the laptop, just enough to not have Jason peering further.
"No way," Jason says, leaning a hand on the back of Y/N's chair. "That's for next week's one shot you're DM-ing?"
"Yes, and you're gonna play, so go away," Y/N rushes. "I don't want to spoiler you and I don't want your input."
"Oh, that's already too late. I already see you're making Alfred an NPC. Are we gonna have to fight him?" Jason piles, jumping from excitement to fear. "I don't think we'll be able to fight an elf wizard Alfred anyway."
With disbelief in their brows, Y/N scoffs.
"Excuse me? Wizard?" Y/N repeats.
"Yeah," Jason shrugs. "What else would his class be?"
"Obviously paladin," Y/N says, throwing their arms and fingers open.
Jason pulls a chair and sits beside his partner. His hand is ready to backdance his explanation.
"Now, here's why he's a wiz—"
"He is a paladin, I'm the dungeon master, and he's secretly smiting all of you," Y/N cuts off.
"No! Are you crazy? There's no way he's smiting any of us that doesn't even make sense!" Jason says. "Also, yes, you're the dungeon master. You're my dungeon master. You can master my dungeon all you want."
Y/N lets out a gagged sound upon seeing Jason flicking his eyebrows.
"No!"
"Look… he's a wizard," Jason continues.
"Yeah?" Y/N challenges.
"Yeah, school of divination," Jason calmly says. "He's beyond us all."
"I mean, yeah, he's beyond us all, but school of divination? No! If… he's a wizard, school of enchant—"
"Aha!" Jason points aggressively. "You're considering it! Hold on, were you going to say school of enchantment?"
Y/N furrows their eyebrows, looking at Jason sharply.
"You are not making sense," Jason chuckles. "If Alfred is to be a D&D character—"
"My stealth should have been higher than that, Mx Y/N," a familiar voice with British accent joins, surprising the couple.
Jason and Y/N turn their chair around and face the butler. Alfred Pennyworth is looking at the laptop screen, at his fantastical character sheet.
"It is flattering to see you have put so much work into that character sheet, but I do see myself more of a... human rogue," Alfred adds.
"But—"
"I will fix that as soon as possible," Y/N cuts off Jason's comment, smiling at the older gentleman. "You are such a wildcard, Alfred."
"Happy to be part of the game," Alfred replies before dismissing himself.
Y/N smiles, watching Alfred leave. They soon turn to face Jason.
"That doesn't make that much sense, but he said it," Jason shrugs.
"Oh, Jason… he's a trickster," Y/N quietly says. "Arcane trickster."
"What," Jason flatly asks.
"Jason, your character is yourself, you're a human gunslinger? That's kinda boring," Y/N says. "However, a human rogue Alfred? That's sick!"
"That's… that hurts my feeling, babe," Jason admits. "I mean, it's a homebrew Gotham City one shot. Everyone's playing themselves!"
"No! Damian's playing Roy," Y/N says. "Oh, no… your characters are gonna have some weird sensual vibe. He's a child, you gotta change your character."
"He's twenty this year. I think. Me and Roy? Y/N, you're my only significant other," Jason piles.
"Oh," Y/N hums, their tone lowers. "I thought we're in a polyamorous relationship."
"Ah, we'll talk about that later, then," Jason nods, but returns his expression to serious once more, "What about Cass? Who's she playing?"
"Very interesting character that's a mix of myself, Bane, Selina, and herself. Very creative. I can't wait," Y/N excitedly says.
"My AC is twenty three totals," a voice, a different one, now joins, again startling the couple.
Towards the source of the voice the couple turn. Cassandra Cain is standing nearby.
"I can't believe our passive perception is so low," Y/N exhales.
Upon saying that sentence, Y/N hears the footsteps and looks at Dick who is approaching.
"No, my ears!" Dick whines. "I'm hearing nerds! Nerds are filling my ears!"
"You're playing Bondage Librarian," Y/N recalls. "Sounds pretty nerdy to me."
"Oh, so, I'm the only one playing myself," Jason concludes.
"Yes," Y/N confirms, smiling.
"Ugh, fuck it," Jason says. "I'm changing my character."
"Deadline's tomorrow night," Y/N says. "Don't play undead."
"Fuck you, you know well I'm gonna play undead," Jason says.

Do you ever find yourself slightly resentful of how fanon DC has completely overtaken canon DC? I like fanon most of the time but it is so difficult now to find stories that are based in canon. Batman stories are by far the worst offender.
I'm not 100% sure if you're referring to the fact that a lot of recent stories in the comics are pretty ooc or if you mean fic, but based on the last few days of asks, I'm going to assume you're referring to fandom works specifically. And the answer honestly is yes.
I in general have complicated feelings towards fanon. While certain types of fanon can actually create stories that are more complex - for example most of the Spider-Man fandom has pretty much accepted that Peter is Jewish and has depression and anxiety - or even just make for pretty fun concepts - I just love stalker!Tim okay I don't know what to tell you, or purring!Spider-People!! - the vast majority of fanon is mostly really flat characterization or actively damaging. Going back to Spidey, pretty much every bit of MCU!Spidey fanon is fucking awful. And yeah, a lot of Batfam fanon, especially surrounding Jason - is really fucking awful.
I think it's fine for fanon to exist, but the fact that it so often overwhelms the actual canon stories means that sometimes canon gets actually rewritten in people's minds. Like the people who've been in my inbox recently asking me if pit madness is actually a thing - because if you've had minimal contact with canon, how the fuck are you even supposed to know it isn't? It's so rare to come across a fic that doesn't bring it up, even as a sidenote, and when it doesn't, it's not like it's an active mention that pit madness doesn't exist - it's just there. And it's such a damaging piece of fanon, I know I keep bringing it up but it's because I have to, it's really harmful, especially since it's basically NEVER given a trigger warning. But there's also other annoying fanon - Cass as a perfect angel or Steph being reduced to a waffle fan and Tim to a coffee addict and nothing else and erasing Dick's canonical anger issues entirely, which is maybe my favorite character trait of his (although this one can also be blamed partially on Tom Taylor's terribly ooc writing of the character in the current Nightwing run...).
And the thing is yeah, sometimes we read fic purely for the escaping and the fluff, but I know a lot of us are looking for angst and hurt/comfort and fics that take themes (whether from canon or not) seriously, and it's really frustrating how difficult they are to find. I much prefer a fic that takes Dick's trauma seriously than one that relegates him to supportive older brother only. I much prefer a fic that wrestles with Bruce's inability to love Jason the way Jason wants him to and the physical abuse he's inflicted on his children than one where he's perfect and never done anything wrong. Yeah, I don't mind reading stuff for fun where there's never been anything wrong ever in the batfam. But I'm also low-key upset that my second most kudos'd fic ever is the stupid ooc batfam 5+1 I wrote in an hour. I'd much rather people read hang on which verges on character study and has, you know, themes and stuff. Also parallels, which if you've noticed my tags, are like, my favorite thing.
So yeah, I do dislike the fact that fanon has overwhelming taken over so many fandoms, and especially since batman has become my main fandom over the past few months due to brainrot, I'd love if people took these characters seriously, damnit. But this is what happens when a fandom is so majorly comprised of people who outright admit to have never read a comic in their life.

fighting evil by moonlight
-----
word count: 1.4k || Fluff, Humor, Crackish
Characters: Bruce, Dick, Tim, Steph, Jason, Cass, Alfred
Read on Ao3
-----
Laughter echoed through the halls of Wayne manor. In a place so big, it was easy to feel lonely, especially when its baby birds left the nest. Tonight, though, the house was filled with joy.
A warmth bloomed in Bruce's chest at every laugh from the kids; his kids. He'd missed this sound. He'd missed having everyone together.
Dick was visiting from Bludhaven. Tim was staying in the mansion while his parents traveled, and of course Steph tagged along. Cass was a new but welcome addition to the family.
Even Jason was here, a temporary truce called under Alfred's request. He lingered at the edges of the group, but Bruce saw the occasional smile that was so like the Jaylad he used to know it took his breath away.
The only one really missing was Barbara, who was having dinner with her dad. She'd sent her love, though, and the house was more than full enough to make up for it.
"Truth or Dare, Replacement?" Jason asked, the usual sting in the nickname absent.
"Truth," Tim said quickly. He was unwilling to test how far the truce went, especially when it came to him. The way Jason's mouth curved maliciously upwards made him wonder if that was a mistake.
"You were a little stalker fanboy for years, yeah?" Jason said.
"Yeah…?"
"Did you ever write fanfic about us?"
Tim's face flushed bright red. He shot a glare towards Steph, the only person to whom he'd confided that embarrassing fact, but she was laughing to hard to notice.
"Well?" Jason asked. The glee in his tone held just a hint of danger. Tim had a feeling that the older boy would come up with a much worse way to embarrass him if he didn't answer.
"Um… a few," he admitted as nonchalantly as possible.
"A few?" Steph snickered. "A few dozen mayb-"
Tim tackled her, holding a hand over her mouth before she could keep talking.
"At least I didn't write any x reader fics about people we know," he said.
Stephanie heard the warning in his voice and shut up. Smart. Tim was more than willing to retaliate with embarrassing facts of his own.
"Awww, baby bird," Dick cooed, in a sweet tone that he only used as a prelude to mockery. "I didn't know you were such a fan. Did you want an autograph? Maybe a picture?"
"He's already got plenty of those," said Jason.
"Shut up, shut up!"
Bruce watched them squabble fondly. There was a hint of a smile on his face, barely enough to be noticed. However, it was enough to gain the attention of Tim, who was desperate to turn the attention away from himself.
"Ok, ok, I answered the question, already! Uh… Bruce, truth or dare?"
All eyes swiveled towards Bruce. Technically, he wasn't even playing. He'd sat on the sidelines, content to watch his kids having fun. Now, five expectant faces were turned towards him.
"Truth," Bruce said, deciding to play along. The delight on all of his kids' faces was worth it.
Tim thought for a long moment. It was tempting to ask Bruce something embarrassing, but he had an opportunity here; he wouldn't waste a chance to get Bruce to actually open up.
"What made you become a vigilante rather than something else? What was the biggest inspiration for an alter ego?"
"Hn…"
A long silence stretched, and they watched with bated breath.
"...Dare," said Bruce.
An explosion of protests.
"Come on, that's not fair!" "Just answer the question, old man." "Pleaseeee?"
"I believe," Alfred said, startling Jason and Steph, who had been turned away from the doorway. Alfred was as quiet as any of them when he wanted to be. "I remember one particular inspiration. I hardly heard a word otherwise from Master Bruce for months."
"Jesus, Alfie, I didn't even see you come in," said Jason.
The part of Bruce that was Batman felt a sliver of concern; Jason was usually very hard to sneak up on. Did he need a refresher course on awareness training? But the part of Bruce that was Bruce, a father of- how many of them could he call his?- melted. Even if they were still at odds, Jason still felt safe enough in the manor to let his guard down.
Then, Alfred's words sank in. The pleading gazes turned to the butler, and Bruce shot Alfred a slightly panicked look. Alfred's version of this story would be mortifying.
Alfred's mustache twitched slightly as he held back a smile. Finally, he took pity on Bruce.
"I shall let Master Bruce share."
Again, his kids locked their gazes on him. Bruce tried not to sweat. His children or not, having the intense gaze of five well-trained vigilantes on him was a little nerve-wracking.
"Please," said Cass, the word sitting a little oddly in her mouth, but endearing all the same. Even more endearing were the sad, pleading eyes she gave him. She had to be taking lessons from Dick.
"...Fine," he relented.
Bruce steeled himself. Words were not his strong suit. He didn't think there was a way to word this that wouldn't embarrass him, but maybe there was a way to lessen the sting?
…no. Then, perhaps, better to get it over with.
"...Sailor Moon."
There was a single, precious second of silence before all hell broke loose.
"What?!"
"Oh my god, I thought you were just a furry."
"I can't believe Batman is a weeb!"
"Holy shit, this is the best day of my life!"
Embarrassing, yes, but Bruce thought the pure delight from his kids might just be worth it. Finally, the shouting settled down.
"B, you have to elaborate," Dick pleaded.
Bruce considered for a moment. He could tell them about the way the show was one of the few bright spots in his life after his parents funeral. He could talk about how he wished for weeks that someone like Sailor Moon had saved them. He could even tell them about his first ever designs for a suit… as his own Sailor Callisto.
"No," he finally said, standing and walking out of the room.
He had to hide the smile at the outrage that broke out behind him.
***
"C'mon, B, please watch it with me? It's just like Sailor Moon!"
Dick paused as he heard the words from across the hall. What was Steph up to?
It had been several weeks since that fateful game of truth or dare. They'd teased Bruce about loving Sailor Moon, hoping for just a little more information, but the man didn't crack. Of course he didn't, he was Batman. He wouldn't fall prey to such human pitfalls as defending his favorite childhood show.
All they really knew was that at some point, a young Bruce had watched Sailor Moon, and he'd loved it enough that that was his biggest inspiration for Batman.
Dick peeked into the room that currently held Steph, Tim and Bruce. Steph was putting her puppy-dog eyes training to good use; as her mentor, he was proud.
"Steph, while I enjoyed Sailor Moon as a child, I have grown into other interests," Bruce was saying.
Despite the denial, he was looking at Steph with a certain soft look that Dick recognized. It always appeared right before he caved to whatever Dick was asking.
"...Put it on," Bruce said with only the slightest sigh.
"Yes!" Steph pumped her fist and raced to the TV.
"What are we watching?" Dick asked, leaping over the back of the couch and landing on the opposite end to Tim.
"Madoka Magica." Steph said cheerily.
Oh. Oh.
Dick exchanged a gleeful look with Tim while Bruce's back was turned. Jason was going to be so sad he missed this.
***
Dick was barely paying attention to the show by the time episode three rolled around. His eyes stayed fixed to the screen, but his attention was locked on Bruce in his peripheral vision. Tim had gone stock still like he sometimes did as Robin, and Steph was practically vibrating.
Luckily, Bruce was too absorbed in the show to notice. Despite having 'grown out' of magical girl shows like he'd implied, B was captivated in a way Dick rarely saw.
Finally, the episode turned, and the show transformed from a sweet fantasy show into a horror drama. Bruce blinked, then furrowed his eyebrows- a strong reaction from him. Dick tried to stifle his snickers.
Bruce turned, slowly, to Steph, who was giggling like a maniac. God, he hoped Tim and Steph had had the foresight to set up a camera somewhere.
"This…" Bruce said slowly, "is why I have trust issues."
Tim and Dick burst into laughter.

Hey, I don't know if you're accepting requests at the moment but if you are I could ask for one where the reader is the girls' younger sister (and Alcina's daughter obviously) and is sexually assaulted (no need to have anything graphic if you don't want to) . And they all get super protective and stuff. If you don't feel comfortable, don't worry. I love your writing!!!
TW: Mentions of SA
(Sorry I've been gone. Life got rough.)
Bela
As the oldest
She has always babied you the most
Sometimes it was a bit suffocating
"Did you remember to eat this morning, caterpillar?"
"Let me sharpen your axe, so you don't hurt yourself"
"Don't go off by yourself! I don't care that you're the fastest!"
More of a mother than sister
It definitely increased when
The incident happened
Bela blamed herself for weeks
She KNEW those witch hunters were dangerous
But she let you go hunting by yourself
"Bey Bey, it's only ONE hunter. What harm can he do?"
Too much
She follows you constantly
And is always doing everything for you
Need clothes? She already laid some out for you
Need a drink? Glass in your hand
Need a bath? Already drawn up
She REFUSES to let you go hunt
Not even wildlife
She also refuses to let any man in the castle
Even Uncle Heisenberg wasn't allowed inside for a few weeks
Despite her being a bit overbearing
She's also a listener
She never pushes you to talk
But she lets you know she's always there
You've confided in her the most
She'll listen to all the graphic details
The nightmares
How you can't stand the smell of burnt wood
Cause you get thrown back to images of the monster
That you freeze up if anyone grabs your wrists
Despite your enhanced healing
You can still see the scars left on your neck, chest, stomach, and hips
Bela listens to it all
She never cries in front of you
But you can see the tears welded
And you can hear her weep as you pretend to sleep
She may be overprotective
But it's welcomed
And you tell her that
That you love her and appreciate all she does for you
Bela's just happy you can hug again without flinching
Cassandra
Out of your sisters
Cass has always picked on you the most
Definitely 'older sibling chasing you around the kitchen with a knife' energy
"Stay still, Moth! You won't even feel the knife anyway!"
"IM TELLING MOTHER"
"YOU LITTLE BITCH, SNITCHES GET STITCHES"
But you always knew she had your back
Especially when it happened
Cass was the one to find the monster and rip his throat out
But not before making him eat his own
Uhh, package
Cass was mute for a while
Never talked to anyone
Never slept
Never ate
Never hunt or tortured anyone
Instead she was your own bodyguard
She hid in the shadows
Never right next to you but always close
If any maid even LOOKED at you
She would take care of it
After a full month and the staff becoming short
You had to tell her to dial it back
For once, she listened
But any males to step foot around the castle
Were taken care of quickly
She also carries guilt
That if she just showed you those 'totally badass' fighting moves
Maybe you could've won
If she would've given you her hunting weapons
Maybe you could've sliced him better than with your dull axe
Which honestly she hates that damn thing
Why do you have to be so difficult???
She'll eventually become Cass again
Mostly after you corner her and basically told her to get her shit together
"I was the one assaulted. NOT YOU. Quit acting like a brooding villain and just be my FUCKING SISTER"
She doesn't pick on you as much
Instead she includes you in everything she does
Skinning an animal? She's showing you how to do it
Refilling the blood supply? You bet she's handing you a barrel
She was a bit hesitant on the torturing tho
But you find that swinging into an unknown man thing with your axe
Is VERY therapeutic
Cass is just happy to see you smile again
Daniela
You don't care what mother says
You and Dani were born twins
Two halves of a whole idiot
"I bet I can fit 12 pizza rolls in my mouth"
"That's absurd. Also you're a coward, do 20"
If Cass was chasing you with a knife, Dani was coming in with a chainsaw to defend you
She was always there for you and to make you smile
Then that night happened
Like the others, she plays the 'what if' game
What if she would've just joined you
What if she would've checked on you
What if she would've given you a sharper weapon
What if-
She's gone mad with that game
She has refused to let you sleep alone
The other 2 usually let you have your bed
Dani insists to be laying next to you
But for once in her life
Dani respects boundaries
It was hard the first day
Dani is a touchy person
She clung to you and stroked your hair
But then she grabbed your wrist
She wasn't prepared for you to scream
Or to literally throw her across the room
She now asks you multiple times if it's okay for her to initiate any contact
She also makes sure everyone else respects it
Once a maid accidentally brushed by you
Dani appeared and tossed her over the railing
She's also taken up reading mental health books
And psychology
And now she tries to be a therapist
You've tried to tell her
But Dani cries before you can even get a few sentences out
"Woooow those books really helped"
"Butterfly, I love you, but SHUT UP AND HUG ME PLEASE"
You're just thankful when she finally starts being an idiot
"Uhhh, Dragonfly?"
Dani: *is currently missing her hands* "Yes?"
"What, uhh, happened there?"
"...I just wanted to touch the blue glowing light"
"You touched another bug zapper-"
"Yes, yes I did"
Not having her hands for a week
Was worth it to Dani, to be able to hear you laugh again

The two were really close and eventually wound up becoming even closer and experimented with each other before eventually realizing they actually had feelings for each other sometime in high school
Maverick always felt this sense of pressure from his parents to be not just good but perfect at everything
Being around Cass was often the only time he didn't feel like he needed to live up to some standard and could actually be their genuine self.
This is why when the two had planned to leave Huntsville after graduation he was more than ready to just skip the graduation and leave right then and there.
In the months following graduation Maverick left Huntsville ahead of Cassius, the other was meant to follow him after he'd healed more
The paradox changed that
Maverick spent the couple next years thinking that Cass had ghosted him. That the other had decided Mav wasn't worth leaving for.
Returned to Huntsville and it was only then that he realized why Cass hadn't come or sent any form of communication
At 23 Maverick found out that he had an older brother. One that his parents had put up for adoption a little over a decade before he was born
They told him that when they found out she was pregnant again all those years later that they had taken it as a sign to start again. They were being given a do-over
Mav hated that they had kept this from him for his entire life and now because of the paradox he had no way of trying to make contact with his brother. The only thing he had was a name Ezekial
While they already had a strained relationship with their parents this only strained it further
has held a few jobs around town: previously worked as a stock worker at the market, a barista at the daily grind, cashier at both O'Connor's and Huntsville Hardware
Has been working at Family Video now for the past 6 months
While out to most other people, Maverick still isn't out to his parents (this is in regards to both their gender and orientation)
The way they are with others is completely different to how they are when around the two. Away from them he's just a ball of chaotic fun and impulsivity. With them he's found that they even though the relationship is strained that he still puts on the 'perfect son' persona for them because for as stressful it's always made him feel, these past 6 years now they've felt like they have to constantly make his parents not regret keeping him.

Destiel Month Day 4: Snack
A a short destiel l High School AU for destiel month!
Castiel felt a little a embarrassed sitting all alone in that enormous cafeteria. Being the new kid was never easy on anybody, but for a socially awkward child of extremely religious parents it was pretty much hell.
Not physical torture kind of hell, but rather a silent hell where everyone from cleaning ladies to teachers ignore you and you’re too shy to actually make conversation with anyone.
And so, with his brother Gabriel off somewhere, Castiel found himself with a table all to himself, dreading the PE class he’d be forced to participate once the bell rang. Both the isolation and the anticipation shrunk his apetite and so the boy’s organic chicken nuggets from Costco seemed utterly unappetising
Looking to his own feet while standing up from the chair and going towards the trash cans, Castiel heard screams and suddenly there were two guys throwing punches at each other right in front of him. It happened fast, barely in the blink of an eye, and the blond one was throw at Castiel with full force and the 2 of them fell hard on the dirty cafeteria floor.
The boy under him was no older than a junior, but he had an allure that could only be described as adult like. His face was square and his deep-set eyes had dreamy mixture of hazel and green. His beauty could not be destroyed by the bruises nor by the sauce from Cass’s nuggets.
Castiel turned a deep shade of red, realising that he was not only starring but also was making no effort in moving, and so got up as quick as possible.
“unm…I’m so so sorry, i really didn’t mean to block you,i just, felt shocked i guess”
“Look buddy no problem, im kinda the one who should be apologising and all. I got to go now before the teachers come, but see ya around. I’m Dean Winchester by the way.”
“Chill, i mean cool. I’m Castiel, good luck with your escape from the authorities.”
Then, Dean smiled at him and it was like Castiel just looked straight into the sun in all its greatness. But then, Dean was gone, and all that was left were cool dirty nuggets splattered on the floor.
However, that was not the last Castiel’d hear of Dean Winchester.
In the following weeks the boy seemed to be everywhere, but nowhere. They had no common classes or extracurricular, but the Novak always could count on a distant shadow of a tall, broad boy. It became almost comforting, and Castiel liked to think of what they had as an almost friendship.
Whenever Dean saw him at the cafeteria, the boy waved at him. When Castiel hid under bleachers and Dean did laps with the other football players, the green eyed boy gave the Novak a knowing smile.
It was almost ticklish, receiving the attention of someone so handsome and out of his league, even if they never actually talked.
Then comes November, and the little interactions remained just that. Castiel then felt silly, and played with, and stupid because he read too much into a few exchanged smiles and waves. They weren’t friends, and he was still widely considered weird by his peers, but Castiel had genuinely hoped he and Dean would form something. It was silly, but every time he glanced at those green eyes something good happened in his mind.
But no. Here he was the same as September, all alone in a cafeteria table. This time his mom had packed him baby carrots, celery and tuna sandwiches (on gluten free bread, of course), and Castiel ate it slowly, hoping to prolongue this lunch as much as he could. The cafeteria was loud and buzzing, but he found the noise to be not that much of a bother.
But then, the sound of a tray being laid on the table startled him. It was Dean Winchester, no smile on his face. He eyed Castiel with uncertainty and almost shyness, and the blu eyed boy could swear there was a hint of blush in Deans ears.
“hum, hey Cass. Can i call you that?”
“YES,if you want to i mean of course.”
“Great, i,um, was thinking if you want to share this chocolate bar with me? It’s like limited edition and its finger-licking. I /did/ splatter your lunch that time in September. And um no offence but those carrot don’t look like the most joyous meal.”
Castiel blushed at the thought. He did like carrots, but sharing an allegedly delicious bar of chocolate with Dean sounded way nicer.
“that’d be delightful, actually i mean it’d be nice, thank you for offering.”
Dean did open his smile at that, and oh his teeth were white enough to illuminate Castiel’s entire world.
“Yeah haha. But now let me part it, I’m a professional at meticulously dividing things. Younger siblings are little devils.”
“ Well i do know it, my little brother Uriel is a wolf in sheep’s clothing, i admit he has set me up more than a few times.”
“Well Sammy never does anything outright mean, but pops say he has more energy than he should.”
Cass laughed out loud and ate the chocolate dean was offering.
He hummed. It really was finger-licking.
“ We should go by the roadhouse someday, i bought them there.Together.”
“I’d like that, Dean”.

with @lxighmadxson; beckett farmhouse stables Leigh and Alex see each other again for the first time after the outbreak; Alex shows her around the stables.
Alex
So far the Brookes' luck had been bordering on impossible to believe. Not only had Alex been able to find Cass after she had left their previous ranch, but Renee and the boys had been in Redwood too. Then there was the fact that Andy had somehow made it to Redwood from not just beyond state or even country lines, but across an entire ocean. Alex wasn't religious, but there was a part of him that felt there was some sort of higher power at work. He wasn't so self-centered to think that any potential powers were causing all of this for his sole benefit.
Except maybe this. Her. Leigh. "Holy shit. Leigh? Is that really you?" She looked a little different, a little older, but they all did. He hadn't seen her since before the outbreak; Alex had no idea what she'd been through up until that point. It had been ages since he'd thought about his previous life in Terrell. Anna and Leigh and Lonnie and Jess. Seeing Leigh in front of him was a shock he hadn't been prepared at all. Apparently the Brookes' luck continued.
Leigh
Leigh had to admit it - she was downright nervous. She kinda had been since she got to Redwood. The place reminded her of her old ranch back in Texas and brought up some pretty hurtful memories of what had made her leave. It was why she had holed herself and Allison up in their new home for as long as she had. Give them a chance to adapt and adjust to their new surroundings.
It also gave her a chance to find out some things about the people that were here. She met a few people - Adriana who worked at the daycare and would be watching Allison while she was working. Renee, the doctor who did their intake. She was interesting. Not only that but she was Alex's sister in law. And it was Renee who told her that Alex was here in Redwood. Working at the farm with his sister. So as she made her way to the farm, she felt incredibly nervous because it would be the first time in years since she had seen him. The father of her daughter.
She was waiting for him once she arrived and she heard him before she saw him. She turned and smiled, her hands crossed across her chest. "As I live in breathe, the rumors are true. Alex Brookes. It's good to see you!"
Alex
He grinned back, surprised but still happy to see her. Their relationship had ended abruptly. It was possible that she might have some sore feelings over it, but it didn't occur to him to be worried about that. Everything in Terrell had happened so fast - Lonnie's health going downhill and his announcement that he was closing the ranch, leaving Anna, starting a relationship with Leigh. "Yeah. Yeah, I - it's good to see you, too. I'm just... wow. Surprised," he said, still processing everything. "You look great, though. Alive, more importantly. How long have you been in town?" She seemed more comfortable in the stables than he had been when first arriving in town, making him believe that this wasn't her first day. Alex had been terrible at keeping track of who came into the city. Part of him still felt like the newest one there despite Andy coming in shortly after him, along with a few others that he'd heard about.
Leigh
Leigh couldn't help herself and walked up to him and gave him a hug. It really was good to see him. Yeah, sure, the memory of their fling ending and the ranch closing still kind of stung but she was really happy to just see him alive. "So do you. You look amazing. The zombie apocalypse was kind to you. " She let go and shrugged. "About a month now. I brought Jasmine with me and I was just checking up on her." She pointed to her horse in the stable next to her. "What about you?"
Alex
The hug was another surprise on top of seeing her, but he returned it nonetheless. Alex laughed with her comment on his looks. It was his first meeting with someone from his past that wasn't scarred with horrible news and near death experiences, and he appreciated her ability to joke around. He couldn't stop staring at her even as they broke apart. As if she was some sort of hallucination. "A month? Wow. I'm sorry I didn't know that you were here before, I wish I had. I imagine you've got things pretty well under control, but if you ever need help with anything, don't be afraid to ask. And I'm not just saying that to be nice. I know it came be hard getting used to things around here. I want you to be able to be comfortable. Where are you staying?" Perhaps it was premature to want her to stay in Redwood, but no matter where she was he cared about her still and wanted her to be safe and happy. "I thought it might be Jasmine, but I had shrugged it off as impossible. Shoulda known better," he admitted, laughing to himself. Nothing was impossible in Redwood. "A little over three months. It's a long story, but Cass - my sister - is here, along with my sister-in-law and nephews. My older brother actually made it over here from South Africa, too. So, y'know. Lots of Brookes to meet." Alex had no idea who she had and hadn't met after a whole month in town.
Leigh
"Oh, don't be. I've been spending most of my time in my place and getting Allison settled." She hadn't really thought about not mentioning her daughter - it was bound to  come up. "But I appreciate that, Alex. I'll try not to bug you too much, though. I'm in the house just down that way, actually." She turned and pointed to the house, "I wanted to stay close to Jasmine."
Leigh laughed a little as Alex went on. "Yeah, I met Renee. She was the one who told me you were here. She's incredibly sweet. But I can't wait to meet your sister and your brother. And hopefully I can introduce you to Allison. She's my daughter."
Alex
Leigh answered his question on who Allison was before he could mention his question. He wasn't sure what to think about the fact that she had a daughter. Allison had to be young - even if Leigh had gotten pregnant shortly after their relationship, she would've been born during the outbreak. He couldn't imagine how had that would've been. It was hard enough imagining Renee and the boys without Andy. Alex wanted to know about Allison's father and his potential whereabouts, but he knew it was too much of a loaded question to bring up at that point. He could be patient and piece things together. "All the more reason to bug me. Neighbors helping neighbors and all that. Redwood is all about the community," he joked, though it wasn't a lie. Redwood was very close knit. Perhaps a little too close knit sometimes.
"Yeah. That sounds great. I'd love to meet her. I'm sure Cass will be excited to meet you. Andy's a bit of a recluse, so don't be too offended if you don't get to see him for a while."
Leigh
Leigh gave him a genuine smile. She wanted to tell him that Allison was his but they had only just reunited and she felt like now wasn't the proper moment. "Maybe you could swing by one of these days, then. There is a room that I need help with. Looks like some of the furniture needs to be moved and I am not as strong as I once was. I could make you dinner too."
She clapped her hands together excitedly. "So I was told that I'm supposed to get shown around so I know the place. I'm one of your new stable hands. I guess you're the lucky one to show me 'round?"
Alex
"I'd like that," he answered, smiling, because he would. Perhaps the world was giving him a second chance with Leigh - not in a romantic way, of course, but a second chance to make things up to her after his abrupt departure. To give her a friend while she settled into Redwood, though hopefully she didn't have anything holding him back like he'd had at the beginning.
"Oh, right. That. Welp, it's pretty self-explanatory. Most all of the equipment is over here." He lead her over to one corner of the stables where the wall was full of shelves of various horse care items. "Hay is over there, and we have extra bales right outside the door to the left. I'm sure you'll get to know everyone's horses pretty quickly. I still got Cici here with me, and there are a few other people in town who have their own horse. Otherwise they just kinda belong to Redwood in general," he said. "Right now the main thing is trying to conserve the feed that we can. Don't starve them, of course, but we can't afford to go wild with it. Winter's gonna be tough."
Leigh
Leigh nodded, feeling a wave of relief course through her as he agreed to help her out. She was more than happy to find out that he was alive. It was a big relief and she didn't know how she got lucky enough to see him after the world fell apart. Just having him back around was good enough for her. She just wondered if that was gonna change after he met Allison.
But first thing was first - business. If she was gonna stick around and help out, she needed to know everything about her new home and the place she would be working. "Aw, you still got Cici? That's amazing! I'll have to say hi and see if Cici still remembers me." She had always been fond of Alex's horse. Leigh took note of where everything was and nodded along. "Don't worry, Brookes, I know a thing or two about rationing feed for the horses."
Alex
"Yup. I'm sure she remembers you. Memory like an elephant," he joked. "I'm sure she's happy to have Jasmine back, too." He showed her around the stables, ending up in one corner with the equipment as the conversation turned to work and feeding. "Fair enough. Most people I've showed the ropes to haven't known near as much as you do, in my defense." Though he hadn't shown that many people around in Redwood in general. Most of the time it had been in Iris when other people were helping out on occasion without any previous experience working with horses. "Where were you living before here? If you don't mind my asking." It could be a sore topic for some folks, and he didn't want to upset her by mentioning something she didn't want to share with him. At the same time he was curious what had happened in the time between their sort-of break-up and her arrival to Redwood. Asking her about her previous situation felt like the most socially acceptable question considering the other ones he had.
Leigh
The stables were pretty straight forward. It wasn't going to take her long to figure where everything was and how things worked. As they got back to the back corner she leaned against one of the stable walls. She figured at some point he would ask about where she was before this - it was a topic that was the new "where are you from" question. "I was on my aunt's ranch in Fredericksburg," she explained simply, "they built up a bit of a compound there. Lots of people and land. I'd probably still be there if one of the infected got through the walls."
Alex
Alex nodded along as he listened to her story, not giving too much detail but that was fine. There was always more to the story when it came to post-outbreak things, and he was willing to wait before hopefully being trustworthy enough to get more. "I'm sorry to hear that. I was in a similar situation, though I left of my own accord to find Cass after we got separated after a couple of years. I know it's hard, but for what it's worth I'm glad you made it here. I don't know what kind of amenities you had, but Redwood's practically a town for royalty if you ask me." Leigh and Allison wouldn't have to worry about food or shelter, and they had people watching out for them every hour of the day for protection. It was about as good as it could get in their current world.
Leigh
Leigh was glad that Alex wasn't delving too deep into things just yet. It wasn't that she didn't want to tell him about what happened. More it was just she didn't think now was a good time to tell him everything. After all, it was just about four years since they had seen each other. But there was plenty of time for catch up and she wanted to hear about his escapades. "Yeah, it seems like this place has just about everything. It's nice that you were able to find your family after everything. How is your sister?"
Alex
"Our luck does seem pretty damn incredible. Bordering on mythical when I think about it sometimes. You showing up on top of it." She might not be family, but at this point anyone from Alex's past felt like it was far beyond a coincidence. "She's good. Her boyfriend, Sol, lives with us in the farmhouse. Partner. Soulmate," he said, batting his eyelashes and pretending to swoon over the man. "I only joke, he's a good guy and I'm glad she found someone. I'm contractually obligated to make fun of them every so often." Alex tried to think of questions that weren't too nosy, which was easier said than done. He wanted to be able to catch up with her without bringing up anything she didn't want to talk about. Unfortunately the outbreak had happened shortly after his departure from Terrell.
Leigh
"Yeah, it's a little uncanny. I would almost be jealous if I didn't benefit a little bit from it." The way Alex spoke about his sister's boyfriend made her laugh, especially as he batted his eyes at her. He was ridiculous, but she was also aware of all the shit her guy friends used to give her and her boyfriends over the years. Including the time she and Alex were sleeping together. "Guess love still does exist. That's nice to know. But you should be nicer to your sister. You might end up with another in law if they really are soulmates." Part of her wanted to ask if he had anyone but now didn't seem like an appropriate time. "You know, I was thinking about taking Jasmine out for a ride around the town. I wouldn't mind some company, if you're up for it. Jasmine needs the exercise and you still owe me a rematch from our last outing."
Alex
He smiled. "Well, fingers crossed you have twice the luck I've had." He laughed at her next comment about Cass. "I'm to the point I already kinda consider Sol my brother-in-law, as fast as it's been. I would bet money that he's already thought about marriage, though I'm not entirely sure what marriage even means nowadays. Not like they're waiting til marriage for anything, nor will they receive any tax benefits." Not that he was against them getting married if that's what they wanted. He wasn't against marriage for himself if he found someone that wanted that with him. He simply felt there was little long-term benefits of 'marriage'. Who was going to stop Sol and Cass if they just started saying they were already married? Grinning, Alex stepped over to take a pair of reins off the wall and tossing her one. "Alright, you're on. Although I question the 'rematch' part considering I remember you winning last time."
Leigh
"I don't know, I think I'm already pretty lucky. I got Allison and now I get to bug you for the rest of time." That, in and of itself, was a win to her. She really did miss Alex, and not just because he was the father to her daughter, but because he was such a good person and she enjoyed being around him. Whatever had brought them back together, she would thank them a thousand times over. "Oh, see, now you have to be extra nice. He's part of the family, after all. And you're stuck with him." Leigh watched him grab the reins and caught them with ease before walking over to Jasmine. "That's because we both know I'm the better rider. No, I'm giving you a chance to earn your honor back. You do have the advantage this time."
Alex
"I didn't realize the privilege to annoy me was so special, but I'll take it as a compliment," he said, grinning. While he was happy with the little family he'd made in Redwood so far, he couldn't deny there was something different in a good way about having Leigh there. It was all too easy to get back into their easy banter they'd had before the outbreak. There was something nice about having someone there that had known him from before - something that made him want to live up to that man he had been in the past. Happier, more easy-going, more playful. Alex would never be that man again, not really, but he missed that part of him that wasn't so worried about life or death. That part of him that had always been optimistic and so sure that everything would fall into place. Despite everything he'd gone through and the way the world was, he wanted to have at least a small piece of that part of him back. "What backwards world have you been living in, Madison? Him being part of the family and stuck with us means I don't have to be nice anymore. He can't leave. That's the whole point. Besides, he kinda owes me his life. Cass has to put up with me because we're siblings. So from my standpoint I can get away with just about anything." Not that he would actually want to. "Damn. First day seeing me and already hitting where it hurts." Leigh caught the reins as he knew she would, and the two began setting up their respective horses and gear before leading them both out of the stables. Alex didn't take any extra time before mounting Cici. "See ya in ten," he shouted to Leigh and winked, then saying Cici's instructions and speeding off around the perimeter.
Leigh
"Oh absolutely. You should." Leigh was glad that they seemed to easily slip back into that friendship they had established all those years ago. She hadn't known if he was going to be happy to see her or had missed her and here, now, it seemed he was. Just as happy as she was to see him again. *Well, if that is the case, then I guess I need to tag team with Cass. It sounds like you've gotten a bit too big for your boots, Brookes." She saddled up Jasmine, an amused smile on her face. " Oh, Brookes, I'm just getting started. I have four years to make up for." Leigh led Jasmine out and pulled herself up into her saddle just as Alex galloped off. " Oh, you son of a bitch, " she laughed as she nuts jazzing forward and took off after him. Oh yeah, she was so glad to have been reunited with Alex.

im delirious i just had a GREAT idea this requires having terminal homestuck brain and also liking the idea of batman being fucked up in a funny way. putting this under a read more bc i want u to choose to ruin ur day
ok so like are your familiar with spicyyetis davekat halloween special? well i hope you are now.
ok now are u familiar with bruce wayne? are you familiar of his habit of accidentally acquiring kids left and right and also his perfect mental health?
ok now are you seeing what im seeing
im thinkiong like years in the future like im p sure there was a panel of bruce telling stories to one of his grandchildren like it was very cute right hand on im pulling up the panel
Tumblr media
Batman Lost #1 a tie in for dark knights metal
do you see that those are kids , little children running around the manor with an old man bruce just chilling in his murder mystery office, this is the best thing i have ever seen.
so like ideally bruce would have a very happy life retired and with all the rest of the bats taking over in crime fighting n shit and his sons and daughters however many he gets are gonna fill the place with kids eventually bc picking up strays is like, a bat requirement u know, however, im not thinking in a positive way or even a coherent way.
back to YM&O did u see old man dave hoarding kids in a very lonely mansion bc of his fear that the kids are one day gonna be the nly thing that will remind him of the loev of his life or whatever yeah you see where im goin with this.
like i can see it perfectly in my minds eye bruce trying to cope with yknow life and stuff n finally accepting that hes not a one man show and maybe as he gets older hes like alright i gotta, take care of myself? and no matter how much my kids may hate me at times and try to shot me i know they love me and they would be Very Sad if they had to bury me, like , again i mean and so hes like well now im old and trying out this taking care of myself now what and hes like oh i know ill take care of the kids and then at the start dick is like weird but ok better late than never!!! i guess!! but oh wait actuyally sorry old man i cant hang out but u can hang out with timmy and damian ok bye have fun and at this point evryone is like almost thirty and are like trying to subtly get away from bruce bc they were raised independently and also theyre grownups damnit (cass is a treasure so she hangs out but also she knows whats up its chill) and then it expands to the other kids like he starts trying to act as this doting old fatherly figure (hes goin senile its what is HAPPENING) and its not until dick is like haha have u heard jason just got kids following him around thats cute and bruce is like YES THATS IT like he gets hardcore empty nest syndrome except the nest was always kinda full u know? thi pile of leaves and bird shit is gonna overflow, anyway like a few months later dick comes back and theres Horrors tm in Manor bc bruce definition of kid isnt constrained by like, species,(do you think jarro would want more siblings?)
so like the house is packed with kids, all sorts of kids, some arent even kids, some are straight up science experiments and bruce is like I Love My Family :) alfred has been dead for over 30 years and yet bruce finds the way to drag his ghost back to the house so they can coo at the kids together (alfred look at my new daughter isnt she cute yes master bruces shes quite charming what will all the eyes, yes youre right she is) jarro is having fun having siblings but he still tries to win bruces attention , cass is almost encouraging bruce to get more kids (i want a new sister) tim and damian are scared but in different ways jason went there once and said Not My problem (hes also scared) barbara doesnt know the extent of the problem and is just amused the titrans know and dick is the last to know (but only bc i find it funny) if u ask what about duke i dont wanna inflict this hell on him he scaped early amen also the justice league either enables him or is subtly trying to stop him (it is. not working)

(OFFICIALLY) INTRODUCING :  SILAS LEVAY
his name is actually christopher silas levay jr., the same as his father, but he’s gone by silas his whole life, while his father goes by chris. most people forget that silas isn’t his given name.
was born and raised in montana on his family’s cattle ranch with his younger brother, sam.
the ranch is sizeable, the levay’s are in no way hurting for money, but nor are they in short of work to do. it’s mostly family run, the few hired hands they have even are mostly distant cousins or the relatives of family friends.
silas is bisexual, has known this since his early teens, and in fact spent most of his teens actively in love with his best friend. strangely enough, it wasn’t just teenage pining, silas knew micah had feelings for him too, but between the time period and the conservative area, as well as the fact that they both knew that silas was never going to leave town and micah was never going to stay, they actively tried to move past the feelings, and remain best friends to this day.
he’d just barely made it out of high school before his dad started to get sick and he started to take on more and more responsibilities around the ranch. seven years later he found out that his father had received a parkinson’s diagnosis and never told anyone.
by the time he’s twenty five he’s basically (if not officially) running it himself with minimal help from his brother while his mother cares for his deteriorating father.
he starts dating claire ralson, a journalist in town who just so happens to be micah’s younger sister. he proposes after two years together, they’re engaged for almost another year, until a month before the wedding when claire unexpectedly runs off with sam, revealing that they’d been having an affair for most of her and silas’ relationship.
claire and sam elope and have a daughter only a few months later and it kind of kills something inside silas to know that he can’t be sure she’s not his and that even if she was there would be little he could do about it. thankfully they’re long out of state by then so he doesn’t dwell on it often.
after his relationship with claire falls apart, micah returns home from where he’d been living on the east coast, both helping out around the ranch and also providing moral support.
his relationship with his father is strained, chris sr. is a gruff, stubborn, hot tempered older man. there was never any kind of intentional hurt or abuse (outside of the borderline stereotypical uncomfortable chores to ‘build character’) but he’s very much the kind who sees a lack of criticism as praise in and of itself, and was never very affectionate with his kids. silas understood him more than sam, and was often the mediator between the two. their relationship gets strained as his father begins to physically weaken and silas has to take over more (i’ll probably write a whole post on this at some point).
he’s longtime friends with cassidy ballard. cass owns a diner in town. they may or may not have a sporadic friends with benefits thing going on.
idk man silas just really needs a full night’s sleep and a hug

[Fern, 23, she/her, GMT] is that Cass Evans? They bear a striking resemblance to Elijah Hewson. I heard he is a 21 year old werewolf who came to the Hotel La Lune 3 years ago seeking a place to start over. Word has it they are a Mechanic at Tawny Motors. I guess the locals will have a lot to say about him...
Cassian Evans was born in England, the second child to a single mother, and raised secondary to the initial love of her life - her drug addiction. His birth father was absent, unknown, not listed on his birth certificate and thus Cass assumed his was the same situation, addicted and unprepared for children to come into the picture. The only hint he’d ever had towards his father’s identity was his name, and even then all he could do was assume it was Welsh and perhaps that was a factor. The reality was something he wouldn’t have imagined - his father was fae, of the Autumn Court, and subsequently Cass was born fae. Unable to remain in the human realm any longer, his father had left before his birth, but protected his sons with a glamour designed to last until their eighteenth birthdays,, the day they became adults, meaning that he wouldn’t show any outward signs of being of fae heritage until then. Thus he remained unaware of his true species, believing himself to be a human, and equally unaware that his mother’s drug addiction stemmed from time spent trapped in the fae realm and her desperation to get back to a dreamland state. Instead, Cass grew up essentially raised by his older brother, cycling through a series of foster carers and social workers, occasionally moved back to his mother’s care when she got clean only for her to lose him again soon enough when she chose drugs again over him.
By the time he was twelve he was permanently removed from her care, and by the time he was thirteen he had been adopted by a couple claiming to give him a new life. Cass didn’t buy it. He’d been acting out by this point, becoming increasingly difficult to deal with and increasingly closed off, a side effect of the neglect he’d experienced in his formative years. Three years of tension followed with his adoptive parents making fleeting efforts to bond with him, before these efforts became few and far between, replaced with frustration at the fact that Cass just didn’t appreciate them acting like his heroes and preferred to run away and spend more time with his mother and sibling, refusing to even call his adopted parents the titles of mum and dad.
By the age of sixteen he had become impossible to control, skipping school to smoke weed or drink with his brother, getting into fights, and once arrested for stealing a car. They had had enough of the problem child, and of the bad influences surrounding him. When his brother ended up in prison, they decided they needed to get Cass far enough away that he’d never even visit. His adopted mother was American and by virtue of the adoption Cass had gained dual citizenship, enabling them to ship him off to her childless sister in New York under the pretence of giving him a fresh start, ridding themselves of him and proving him right - that nobody would stay with him.
Stateside, Cass didn’t exactly try to change his ways. If anything, he became worse. School for him was simply an avenue for meeting people, he spent more time in detention than in the classroom and often left halfway through the day. Devoid of an adult to actually discipline him he became more out of control than ever, ran through girlfriends and boyfriends at a speed even his friends struggled to keep up with and continued to perfect the type of behaviour that had gotten him sent away to start with. In fact, it was this behaviour that changed his life forever - a girl he’d been pursuing, just two months before his eighteenth birthday. He followed her into a park, the night of a full moon, aiming to ask her out. Instead, he found himself with a bite mark on his arm. He assumed it was a dog and left it at that.
Come the next month, alone in his room, he found himself suddenly transforming. Cass had never believed in the supernatural before, never even considered werewolves as a possibility. When he confronted her about it, she had only one suggestion - that he should run away. She’d heard talk of the Hotel La Lune. He had no other options, and figured talk was better than nothing, dropping out of high school and driving himself across the country without so much as a goodbye to his adopted family. Which was how Cass ended up in Calypso right as he turned eighteen, a new werewolf and unclear on where to go from there. Able to gain a job at Tawny Motors through his experience fixing his own car and teenage car jacking hobby, he set about preventing himself from getting close to anyone ever again.
