Day 4 - Drunken Confessions

Things at UA had been hectic, but it was finally Saturday, so Hizashi practically forced you and Aizawa to go with him drinking. He had wanted to do karaoke, but Aizawa gave a firm "no" and you weren't going to argue with Aizawa.

So now the three of you were sitting in a booth with some karaage and edamame to have with your drinks. Aizawa looked like he's been sipping on the same whiskey all night while Hizashi had some kind of highball and you were drinking on whatever wouldn't make you act like that much of an idiot.

"And then after having an argument for ten minutes about the correct use of 'their, there, and they're', Bakugo gives a perfect answer. Even I was shocked considering how much of a hothead he is," Hizashi regales an English lesson he was teaching with wild gestures.

"He's smarter than he looks," Aizawa comments. Aizawa is good at his backwards compliments.

"At least you got them to do the lesson. Things were going great for me and then Midnight comes in to deliver something and the next thing I know, everyone is talking about crushes and which teachers look cute together," you say with a sigh. It'd be endearing if you weren't scared shitless that they'd somehow get you to confess your crush to a bunch of children.

"I hate kids." Aizawa shakes his head as he says this but you and Hizashi give him amused smiles because you both know that's far from the truth.

"Did they say who'd look cute with me?" Hizashi asks, a wide grin on his face.

"I think Ashido mentioned something about you and Aizawa cause of some childhood friends trope," you answer, a tad confused with what she had been talking about. Hizashi just bursts out laughing at the idea while Aizawa grumbles and drinks his whiskey.

The night goes on with you three drinking and eating some more. Aizawa decided to be the smart one and start getting water for the table while Hizashi wanted to make a tower out of his glasses, which was quickly stopped and caused him to pout.

"I need to get going. Think you can take care of him?" Aizawa suddenly says as he checks the time. You do as well. It's late but not that bad.

"Thinking of doing some patrolling?" You ask, you wouldn't be surprised if Aizawa did sober up to a quick ten minute patrol this late. You were glad when he shook his head.

"Don't want a hangover so I'm going home to decompress."

"What a responsible adult," you tease and Aizawa rolls his eyes. Hizashi is already whining about Aizawa leaving and you chuckle and shake your head. "Maybe we should get him home first," you say and Aizawa nods.

You both drag the drunken Hizashi back home, listening to his rambling and nonsense. There were a few times when he started to say something, but Aizawa switched topics or made him shut up. You don't know if it was going to be something embarrassing or what, but good on Aizawa for being a good friend.

When you made it back to his apartment, Aizawa offered to stay to help take care of the drunk. You declined and said you could deal with Hizashi. There was some hesitance on Aizawa's part, which you found a tad weird, but eventually he did leave. And now it was you and Hizashi on his couch while the TV played softly in the background.

"I can't believe the kids thought me and Aizawa would date." Hizashi's words are slurred as his head is resting in your lap on the couch. You tried to make him go to bed, but he was adamant that you're not allowed in his room. So, you're both on the couch.

"Well, it was more thinking that you two would be a cute couple instead of that you are going to date," you try to explain, only to get a scoff back.

"But I don't wanna date him. I wanna date you. Shota is mean and grouchy," Hizashi pouts but you were a bit hung up with what he had said previously.

"You want to date me?" You can't help asking. He's drunk and probably talking out of his ass right now, but you can't help but be curious.

"Well yeah, you're cute and smell nice and I wanna cuddle and kiss you and do adult things!"

"Like what?" Again, you couldn't help asking. Maybe it was morbid curiosity or maybe you wanted to see what drunk things Hizashi might come up with. Whatever the excuse, you just asked that and now have to live with it.

"Like hand holding!"

"Uh huh, well how about you drink some water and get to bed then we can talk about hand holding in the morning." An amused grin is on your face as you pat Hizashi's head and he whines.

"But I want to date you now!"

"Trust me, if you remember this, you might end up regretting this happened. We'll talk in the morning, Hizashi." He mutters something that sounds a bit like 'won't regret it' but you shake your head at him and make him go to bed.

You just hope he remembers this in the morning.

I'm 18, gender is whatever to me but I prefer they/them pronouns and I'm okay with any gendered terms. I'm 5'2 and my hair is short and I usually dye it dark red. I'm asexual and kiss men (in theory). I'm pale and I have dark circles under my eyes that I just can't get rid off. Might be the bad sleeping schedule. Anyway. I'm slavic and English isn't my first language so I sometimes mess up pronunciation and grammar (this is both a trait and an apology for my English). Oh also my eyes are brown! I sometimes wear baggier clothes and sometimes switch to really feminine ones.

I've never been good at describing my personality, but I'll try my best. I love hanging out with people and socializing, but I also can't handle big loud events. I get anxious easily and feel like throwing up because of it. My friends have told me I'm funny because I often say stuff that makes no sense (it makes sense to me...). I don't like it when people help me with pretty much anything, I only ask for help if I REALLY need it. I love sending my friends silly images and stuff and talking about my interests. Oh, I draw! And I play guitar (I usually play an electric guitar, but I have an acoustic one too). I also play videogames if I have the time. As I mentioned before, I have a really bad sleeping schedule, but coffee makes me sleepy so I prefer tea. My love languages are quality time and words of affirmation. I usually enjoy physical touch, but it sometimes depends on the person and my mood. I consider myself an optimist. I think that's pretty much everything??

My perfect date would be a picnic in spring. I like warm (but not hot) weather and spring just makes me really happy. Me and the other person could bake something for each other and bring other snacks + drinks and then sit on a picnic blanket and talk for hours. Maybe play some music too if it's too quiet. It would be better if the picnic was at a park and not in a forest haha. Oh also for music I could also bring a guitar but there's a chance I would get too embarrassed to play in public. If there aren't any people around I won't be anxious, though.

My perfect type is someone smart and patient. Someone who can help me out when I'm struggling with something I don't understand but also won't get mad at me if it takes too much time. Also someone who can deal with my anxiety without just going "calm down". I would also like someone who would enjoy listening to me ramble about my interests and someone I can show my art to (without giving me unwanted criticism). Overall someone who supports me even when I'm being weird. It's not necessary, but it's definitely a bonus if the person is lowkey a nerd.

My favourite trope is pretty basic but I like friends to lovers. It's simple and cute. I'm a sucker for some mutual pining. That, combined with the "everyone knows but them"... perfect.

There was no answer the first time, so, Damian turns his head, his brows tugging inward.

“Love.” Damian says, finally catching your attention. Your raise your head again, looking at him.

“Wine or no wine?”

“Uh, wine.” You say with a smile before your return your eyes to your phone that was propped on your knee. Your legs were bended in criss-cross apple sauce style, guitar in hand.

You let out a quiet, frustrated grunt. Your guitar wasn’t tuning probably. Damian pours up two glasses of wine, sending you a sideways glance.

“What’s wrong?” He asks, cocking his brow at your furrowed brows.

“It won’t tune.” You grumble.

“Give it here, then.” Damian says, not waiting for you to agree as he grabs the guitar. And that son of a bitch doesn’t need more than three tries before getting it tuned perfectly, by ear.

“Oh, fuck you.”

“Sure.”

Headcanons:

Damian taught himself how to play your favourite song on guitar as soon as he found out you could play.

He has a habit of tapping his finger against your hand whenever you hold it. It’s not because he needs your attention, and he barely notices when he does it, but it’s just him checking you’re still beside him. (Even though he’s holding your fucking hand).

Damian is really bad at words so he tries to spend as much time with you as possible, even if it’s hard due to his job.

Damian knows how to handle your anxiety. Mostly due to his job as a vigilante, and because he sometimes deals with it himself, but also because he researched for hours after the first time it got bad around him. He’ll take care of you without a second of hesitation.

What do you think of the new therapy episode? I agree with several of the comments that maybe the reason Sun never got close with Solar was because he's become anti-social due to everything that happened to him, and he might expect any new friend to mistreat him(like Monty or the Glamrocks), or that they'd get killed(like what ended up happening to Solar), which doesn't help his isolation issues, could it be possible that another reason could be that Solar is an Eclipse and on some level Sun's at least a bit unnerved by Eclipses? Or it just could be that he never hung out as much like he said in the session, though I wonder if Solar's death is affecting him more than he lets on considering his reaction when it happened and how he's still thinking about how abrupt it was, the shock of it Him acknowledging that he has no idea how to move on from anything that's happened to him and that he needs to start letting himself feel rather than bottling stuff up was great, first step for actually processing all the stuff that's happened in the last two years at least, it's a long way to go still but it was said! Him also admitting that he and Moon aren't alone anymore and he's not used to support was also nice Them talking about the drinking thing was also something, we haven't actually seen Sun even tipsy have we? Meanwhile Monty's gotten drunk before and even Moon got tipsy once Earth offering to try tea alternatives with him was cute, maybe then he won't drink coffee before bed and get weird dreams again While it's good that Sun was taking a breather at the house for a mental break was good, it did feel like it wasn't wholly positive, both because of the sidelining and the isolation that really wouldn't do anybody any good, he already doesn't have many friends and spending hours alone at his house and his family doesn't really check on him or call him felt...Off, but hopefully like they said here he'll be getting more involved now Let Sun be smart! He is smart! They definitely need to talk with Moon he's working himself ragged trying to revive Solar(and doing it the wrong way) Now Sun wondering if he and Moon separating was a bad thing was interesting, technically he's right in that a lot of what's happened in the show(mainly Eclipse, Bloodmoon, and everyone else after being created) was because of that, but at the same time both were suffering badly, Moon was trapped in a sensory-deprived void and the times when he was let out he hurt Sun and/or other people because of KC, and Sun had to deal with the pain, the aftermath, and threats from Moon, both were in a bad way, so while everything happened because of the separation, they couldn't have known, and they needed to be free to move forwards There was a lot of stuff to talk about, though I personally felt like there was more that ended up being unaddressed, but who knows, there was still a lot! ok- had to get a look at the ep- I may be bias and feel like Sun lied the whole time with his soft spoke "yea" but ok, vision shuh ANON! I do agree on the fact he is not used to actually be with others animtronics, other people thats not work related, he doesnt have friends! no one ok, fam can be friends but is not the same, to just hang out with a bestie or chat all day of other stuffs thats not work related, I do feel he pretty much lock himself in a golden cage, with stuffs to keep him distracted but always looking over those who do have the things he wished.. so suddently theres a new guy, everyone saw him as a new friend, yet Sun just coudnt bring himself to make any connection, if you saw Freddy's channel, he even refuse to meet new people! is clear he rather be "left alone" - and I guess is because he is just unsure and worried to mess up- than deal with someone else .. Okaaay....this is just my headcanon but but but here's a thread on each Batfam member's sexual orientation (some of them might be unpopular opinion but it's my opinion so...)

- Bruce Wayne is bi, he might have been bi-curious at one point if he is not 🥹 playboy, charming, flirtatious and rich, he's everyone's dream. And I don't think the Bat himself is in denial of his sexuality, in fact, though lowkey, he might just be casually talking about his flings to Alfred if he didn't consider feelings a scary thing.

- Please forgive me for saying this but Dick Grayson feels like a straight guy who's very comfortable with his sexuality that he doesn't mind the gay jokes and he himself would make non-homophobic queer jokes towards his friends (regardless of their sexuality).

- Jason Todd is either bi or straight, because of that Judd Winick interview and because he's giving major bi friend vibes (trust me I'm bi), who leans towards dating girls but he might have been too jaded or fearful of commitment to be in a relationship so he's still single til this day. But he might also be similar to Dick, he might be a straight guy who is constantly attracting queer friends and is ok with that. Maybe he just has a smart mouth and wants to tease or provoke other guys to the point that it seemed queer as a hetero man, like how guys irl do? I dunno, but he could either be bi or straight, he gives off both vibes to me honestly lol. I can’t decide on this one.

- Tim Drake, similar to canon storylines, bisexual, need I say more? Though I'd like to see them build Tim and Bernard more cuz Bernard is a bit too similar to Steph now, and Tim and Kon also have a very interesting dynamic so I am very conflicted. I like the fact that even though they've broken up, him and Steph are still friends. I really appreciate healthy relationships like that (i...if of course you look past the fact that he might have wanted to unalive her dad).

- Stephanie Brown feels like she could be pansexual, she's chill and she doesn't mind being in a relationship with someone of the same gender, of the opposite gender or genderfluids or trans. But to get the most accurate impression of her, I will spend my time reading Batgirls. For now, her vibes scream pansexuality to me.

- Damian Wayne is straight, but he is just not into relationships. Though I also like his dynamic with Jon, I can't see them as more than friends (but you're welcome to ship them, it's actually a cute ship but bc they're literally children so I just can't see anything more than platonic). I know the Asexual Damian trope is also very popular but to me, he seems like a straight guy who, like Jason, is not into relationships due to the nature of his worklife.

- Barbara Gordon feels like she could be straight or bi, that's up to intereptation, but for the most part to me, she seems to be straight, I mean she loves a guy named Dick so...and her interactions with BoP members seem very platonic to me. But other headcanons are also cool, please enlighten me.

- Duke Thomas is straight, he's like that one YA romance novel live action main character, an awkward teenager except he's a metahuman and also a vigilante. Yes, he's sassy and funny and nice, I know, but his vibe doesn't scream queer to me.

- Cassandra Cain is bisexual because of her interactions with Tim and Steph in the comics. She's the quiet bisexual friend/lover that everyone is comfortable with. And I love, love that about her. Yes, Cass seems to be the downright not heterosexual, hell, she might have been more into girls than guys.

- Kate Kane is 100% a lesbian, this is not a headcanon. She's so gay that nothing about her is straight, not even her name.

- Ok, weird one but I think Alfred Pennyworth might also be bisexual, he could have banged the queen as an agent in his younger years then started dating the prince a year later. Or he could be demisexual, who knows, maybe he loved someone when he was younger, then something happened and he can't find himself being in another relationship with anyone else, and also younger Bruce only had him so he didn't have time for dating.

Edit: my take on Cassandra Cain before anyone comes at me with their extremist anti batcest bs again (and unless you're here for Bruce and Damian as a couple, I don't even think batcest is a word that should exist) and here. Don't go looking for dramas, be polite to other people please. Just because you don't ship it doesn't mean you should act like an asshole about it. Their interaction happened in canon and I simply stated the fact with pictures from the actual comics, I don't ship them as a couple because well, I just....don't? The headcanon was so cute and i fell in love with him and his design when i started researching and it led me to falling in love with the game itself too. A Tale Where Riddle is Set up on a Blind Date, and it works out Better than Expected

"Trust me, Riddle, she's lit! You're gonna love her!"

"Sure Cater, but I don't have time for your nonsense."

Three weeks now. Three weeks of Cater trying to set him up on a blind date with some girl. He tried to be polite. But Cater wasn't taking the hint. And now Riddle was pretty sure he was about to lose it.

"Look, one date with her. One date and I promise, you'll be head over heels for her!"

Riddle was about to snap, when Trey heaved a heavy sigh. 

"Look, Riddle, you know normally I would never enable Cater. But in this case, I think he's right. I think you will genuinely enjoy a date with this girl."

If Trey was saying it, then there must be some truth to the matter.

"Okay, then you tell me, Trey. Who is she?"

Trey winced, "I can't say, you just have to trust me."

"Why can't you say?" Riddle asked with a pout.

"Because blind dates are more fun!"

"Because she didn't even agree until yesterday."

Two very different answers overlapped. Riddle folded his arms across his chest and frowned.

"Riddle, just trust me. If it goes badly you can collar  Cater forever, and I won't say a word," Trey said with a smirk.

"Hey!" Cater cried, but Riddle was slowly nodding in agreement.

"Alright then. You said you got her to agree. When is this date?" 

Cater winced, and muttered below his breath, "Tonight."

"Tonight!" Riddle shouted. "What if I had said no? How am I supposed to be ready in such a short time?"

"It's okay! I have an outfit picked out for you that I've been waiting to have you try!" Cater said, pushing Riddle in the direction of his room.

Needless to say, Riddle was less than excited to try out the new outfit.

Riddle was dressed casually for the first time in his entire life. Black jeans,  white Tshirt, red unbuttoned flannel on top of the Tshirt. He had to admit, it was comfortable, but he still felt a little out of place…

He'd been informed that his date would know what he was wearing, and would have a red rose in her hair. So he waited patiently at his table, until he felt a tap on his shoulder.

"Riddle?" 

The rose in your hair was lovely. You looked good in red. 

Those were his first two thoughts before he realized you were his blind date.

"Prefect? You're…."

"Yeah," you laughed, "I guess so."

You took a seat across from him, and Riddle took a sip of water to hopefully hide his flushed cheeks.

"Can I tell you the truth?" You said sheepishly. "I only agreed to this because Cater accidentally hinted that the blind date was you."

Riddle's face went even redder and he tried to sputter out a good response, but it came out as….

"Beautiful! So pretty!"

You furrowed your brow. "I mean, yeah, you do look pretty in the casual clothes I guess."

"Sevens," he muttered, taking another sip of water and trying not to choke. "You look beautiful."

You stared for a moment. Then you giggled. "Heh, thanks."

There was a heavy silence for a moment, and Riddle decided that if you were honest, he should be too.

"I kept turning Cater down because I didn't think he'd be setting me up with you."

The back of your neck prickled and your gaze dropped to the floor.

"We seem to be in agreement then."

"Yes," he took your hand, and softly rubbed his thumb along your knuckles. 

He grinned maliciously. 

" Even if we weren't, rule 137 states that if you get set up on a blind date with the queen, you are required to date until the next blind date occurs."

"You made that up!"

"I would never!" He pressed a hand to his chest in mock indignation. "I take my position very seriously."

"Well, rule 76 in my rulebook says that if the queen makes up a rule,  then she has to date me until I say otherwise."

You loved his genuine smiles. So when his face radiated like the sun, your heart skipped a beat.

"I guess we're stuck together."

"I guess so."

"Well, I'll make the most of it then," he confidently kissed the back of your hand, like a prince greeting his princess.

I don't believe you've given a solid description of Ridley in her human form and what she looks like, so I can only go off of my mental image here and also how Hank's experiences with Ridley have coloured his perception of her - which is to say, he doesn't really view her as an object of attraction, just a person who needs help and support. Especially in the periods we've been writing in, that version of Hank takes medical ethics very seriously, so that very much limits how attractive he can find her.

i very much think that sirius would have always had those feelings of “…….nothing is happening here….” with ben, even if he had tried to make it work. i also think he only would have tried to make it work if he felt pressure from himself or outside places to be in a relationship. like maybe james or lily are casually asking to set him up over the years so he feels like it’s not acceptable to be single anymore, or maybe he just started to feel overwhelmingly lonely and insufficient because all his closest friends were in relationships. so he’d be like “eh, this one’s fine” when ben asks him out and trudges through boring dates because at least he’s not alone anymore

but

sirius was always going to need the kind of love that cracked him open and tore him apart and put him back together, and he was never going to get that with ben. and i think on some level he would know that from the start

he tries to shrug it off bc it seems a little unreasonable to call things off with ben just because he saw a cute guy at a basketball game once, but then they keep running into each other at the gym and at weekly drinks and oh noooo lily’s friend is also funny and nice and wicked smart and sirius is so obsessed with listening to him talk that he spends an entire night out on lily’s balcony asking him questions just so he can keep hearing his voice

it would start to come to a head when sirius realizes that remus knows him better than ben, cares about him more than ben even though they’ve only known each other for a month or so. he finds himself wanting to cancel plans with ben to spend more time with remus instead, so he decides that it’s probably time for a break up.

ben was probably a bit suspicious of how close sirius and remus got so fast, probably jealous in a very “ben” way that involved only touching sirius in public when remus was in the room. he’d be a little angry when sirius breaks up with him bc he pulls the whole “of course i’m not breaking up with you because of him, ben, it’s just not working” but then by graduation they’re fully in love and practically living together at remus’ place and planning an entire future around each other. but he’d get over it and move somewhere like LA or Austin and they’d never see or think of him again 🫶🫶

i think james would be drawn to you just because you’re a lot different than he is. he’d find you fascinating, and he’d make it a point to get to know you. he’s a very social and easygoing person, and i don’t think he does very well on his own. one of his main love languages is definitely quality time. but while i think he’s a social person, i do think he also gets a little burnt out. everyone relies on him to be the positive one, and it would be hard on him always being that person for everyone else when no one would be it for him. with you, he’d never feel like he had to put on a front. you’d be easy to calmly talk to and open up to, and he wouldn’t feel like he needed to entertain you or keep the conversation going. you’d be content to have a quiet day with him if he wanted one, and he would never say no to getting to spend time with you.

Kaidan would likely have to hold me back on storming up to the White House or whatever official in the area he lived in and giving them a piece of my mind. I do enjoy the idea of the boys being like, college roommates or something, that's super cute. The three of them having to hide me because I just question EVERYTHING and EVERYONE. None of them can EVER let it get out that I just fell outside from the SKY, I'd be taken by the government somewhere and tested by various scientists.

Kaidan would probably be really concerned about me a lot of the time- all ready stressed out from faltering on his grades for college courses and now he's gotta keep a random woman who fell into his lap safe?? STOP TOUCHING THE ELECTRACAL SOCKETS WOMAN- this man needs a nap. But he'd be really sweet about educating me about life around the area for sure. Street smarts, definitely thinking his weaknesses in school is that he was homeschooled his whole life maybe? And the overwhelming college transition is making it more difficult? The pressure, the costs, the amount you have to deal with; it'd be a lot for sure. But I'd help with what I could, even if it's just a rubber ducky moment where he reads stuff out to me just to find what in what is wrong.

And I know you specified Kai, but I do enjoy thinking about what my other husbands would do with me around 😊😂 Lu-Lu would be pestering me about magick versus science and, me being me with loves for both, would go back and forth about discussing the utility of both in the world, despite how little the advancement is in society. Definitely talks about the Dwemer- probably asking if THEY were Dwemer and wondering if I got shunted by the Heart somehow, despite being no where near the Tribunal or Solstheim. He'd be all over learning about various aspects of Skyrim, the gods, the social structures, the wars- horrified of course of the ongoing war, but all the more curious to how people handle it.

Inigo and I would be fast friends, as always in every universe. We both have that sense of humor that most people find a little kooky but we fit like a glove together! And I could definitely see myself opening up to him about the horrors of war that had been going on, worrying about my family and if they were okay, etc. He's very relaxed but also has a lot on his shoulders, and I'd definitely wanna be there for him too.

OH but man that raises the question about Bren- would he be in this universe? If he is, I feel like he lives nearby and finds me after I get lost around the nearby area, takes me in, takes care of me for a while until the boys find me. I don't want to leave him behind in another universe, thas my uncle. Him family.

The biggest question would be why was I sent here? Because I all ready have that figured out for TESSDE, but in a modern setting, in this world, what would the gods have for sending lil ol me a whole world- an entire universe- away? That's the big one. I don't want it to be a punishment because TESSDE is about finding your place in the world no matter how much it seemingly doesn't want you, and I'd wanna keep that. But I'm not sure how I could twist it for a real world.

So there’s a “profile” option in the menu where you can view more info about Takuma and the gang. Thought it was a cute little idea, so I went ahead and typed it up for referencing down the line. More for my own convenience than anything, but maybe other people will like having it...? idk

I’ve personally only played through 2 routes so far, so there might be some minor updates in the future when I get through the other ones. That being said: spoilers for the game itself and all of its routes are behind the cut, so click at your own risk.

Name: Takuma Momozuka Age: 14 Height: 166 cm Weight: 52.3kg Blood Type: A

Reason for Joining: "The mountain air will do you good," claimed Takuma's mom, leading him to join the camping trip. The boy knew well that he'd be doing something significant by studying history in a place far from the city, but in all honestly he lacked any real motivation to do so. This was his attitude, for better or worse. He lacked any strong feelings about the task—not caring enough to even consider it a pain. "Just get through a few days of the program, and I'll be back to my old life." With this mentality, Takuma headed for the camp.

Episode 1: This was supposed to be just another camping trip, but the events that've unfolded go against everything I've ever considered normal. Then there's weird talking animal... It even transformed to protect me! Don't tell me—these are "Kemonogami"?!

Episode 2: Somehow I was able to find my friends, but these Kenonogami aren't the only weirdness we're dealing with. The camp building's fallen apart, and monsters made off with Aoi! I admit the whole thing terrifies me, but we have to fight... We have no choice.

Episode 3: Shuuji's heartrending scream made my heart skip a beat. I wanted to save him, for my voice to reach him! I needed more power for that! As soon as I said it aloud, Agumon responded—with a new form that seemed to reflect what was in my heart...

Episode 4: If this outlandish other world has convinced me of anything, it's that my and Agumon's hearts are connected. Two as one... that's why he evolved into his ultimate form when I resolved not to lose, no matter what. We'll use this strength to protect everyone to the end!

Episode 5: Don't lose heart, don't give up, and never abandon your friends... Thanks to these three tenets, we've made it all the way to the final battle. We have a tough road ahead of us, but I'm not scared. After all, my dear friends and precious partner are by my side.

Partner: Agumon A monster called a "Kemonogami" that joined me after I came to this other world. He speaks human language, and is just about as smart as us. Reason for camping: Kaito was already at a loss over his sister Miu, and her frequent goofy behavior. At the same time, he was constantly worried for her safety. Just today, Miu vanished when his back was turned for the briefest of moments. Could she be caught up in some trouble, and hurt somewhere? Is some bad guy doing something terrible to her? He was searching high and low, clinging to these worries, when he met Takuma's group for the first time.

Episode 1: We met up with Kaito in the other world. He's clearly wary of anyone he runs into, possibly out of concern for his sister. Even now, he looks ready to bite our heads off. His wisecracking partner Dracmon seems cool as a cucumber, though.

Episode 2: He may be rough around the edges, but Kaito is a reliable part of the team. I don't approve of violence, but we'll need to fight if we want to make it in this world. In that sense, Kaito seems to fit right in here.

Episode 3: Even I can tell how attached Kaito is to his sister. If you asked her, she'd probably call him more clingy than anything else. Still, her presence may be the secret behind Kaito's strength...

Episode 4: Miu's not the only thing Kaito's been trying to protect. He wants to protect everything she holds dear... So his sister doesn't have to have any terrible, painful feelings ever again. That powerful wish transformed into power itself, evolving Dracmon into Beelzemon. Maybe his feelings for Miu got through to her a little now?

Episode 5: I don't know if he realizes it, but this almost endless journey of ours has changed him. Now he wields his strength not just for Miu, but for all of us... Gotta say, it's kinda cool.

Partner: Dracmon Dracmon is a Kemonogami that's been with Kaito ever since he showed up in the other world. He's as belligerent and hard-nosed as Kaito, making him a reliable and powerful ally in battle. Dracmon always prioritizes victory, and is willing to use his allies towards that end. Still, he's more pragmatic than cruel, always taking the most appropriate action.

"My time camping as a student was a valuable experience that led to me becoming an author." Inspired by that article, she became gung-ho about camp, seeing it as an opportunity to change herself.

Episode 1: After we reunited with Aoi in this other world, the sight of these strange creatures didn't seem to bother her much. Scolding Minoru, looking after Labramon—she was the same girl we always knew. I thought she was a kind, if not uptight upperclassman. Turns out she had nerves of steel to boot.

Episode 3: At first, Aoi sought the "power to defeat" in order to become someone who could protect everyone. In response to that desire, Labramon evolved into Cerberusmon. That power was stronger, sharper than she could even imagine. Aoi was unsure if she could master such incredible power. Still, I'm sure she can find the right way to use it.

Episode 4: The moment Aoi pictured exactly the type of power she sought, Labramon evolved into Anubismon. A strong power to stand for justice, without losing herself to her own strength. I'm sure Aoi will keep using that strength to protect everyone.

Episode 5: Aoi's gotten so strong, I barely recognize the girl I first met at camp. Her strength helped bring us to the final confrontation. With her, I believe we can overcome anything that comes our way.

Partner: Labramon Aoi's Kemonogami partner, who looks like a dog. She has a lively attitude and works well with the gentle and reserved girl. Labramon adores Aoi, and never leaves her side. She feels the same for Labramon, and the two of them act almost like sisters.

Episode 1: My best friend Minoru also got sucked into this strange new world. I thought he'd freak out, but he's calmer than I figured he'd be—or at least cracking jokes about it. Having him around keeps me calm, but he's acting a bit reckless...

Episode 2: When Minoru first met Falcomon, he ran off with his tail between his legs. Now he cares about the little guy so much that he'll jump between him and the enemy to protect him. That "my body moved on its own" behavior on Minoru's part makes him pretty darn heroic.

Episode 3: Minoru's loose lips and endless array of jokes keeps everyone at ease. Still, his desire to be a hero was no joke—he's a dyed-in-the-wool aspiring hero. Lip service aside, he truly wants to be strong. His pure feelings caused Falcomon to evolve into Crowmon!

Episode 4: Strength to rally and fight, no matter how desperate the situation. No matter how his legs shake. That's the true strength Minoru wanted. The guy's a cool hero, warts and all. Seeing Varodurumon spread his wings made that clear as day to me.

Episode 5: Wisecracker, class clown, a bit of a wimp. Even if he doesn't live up to the ideals he had a kid, Minoru's come to accept who he is now wholeheartedly. I'm proud to call a guy like that my friend.

Partner: Falcomon Minoru's Kemonogami partner. Falcomon's arms are shaped like wings, and are useful for moving around. Calm and well-spoken, he acts as a clear contrast to Minoru's childishness. They complement each other; when Minoru's about to lose it, Falcomon's there to support him through any crisis. He's as cool as those heroes you'd see on TV.

Evolution Line: Falcomon→Diatrymon→Yatagaramon→Varodurumon / Zhuqiaomon (True Route)

Name: Shuuji Kayama Age: 16 Height: 176 cm Weight: 56.5 kg Blood Type: A

Reason for Joining: Wanting more real-world experience before applying to college—and to get serious about studying—Shuuji decided to apply to the camp. He was hoping to earn some brownie points towards a recommendation letter on the sly. If this camp could help him achieve that, his dad would see him in a better light... Sounds like a complicated relationship.

Episode 1: Our leader Shuuji wandered into this other world. I thought I could rely on him at first, but he's just as worried as the rest of us. Still, I wish he'd stop treating his partner so badly...

Episode 2: The sight of Lopmon wrapped in that ominous black smoke was burnt into our minds, and we just can't shake it. Shuuji... You've really pushed him to his limits, haven't you?

Episode 3: Shuuji couldn't acknowledge himself. Even so, he took a step forward, wanting to be someone Lopmon could be proud of. That powerful feeling, combined with his sense of responsiblity, evolved Lopmon into Antylamon. He told Shuuji to quit that "someone like me" talk. Even if Shuuji won't acknowledge himself, Antylamon has nothing but pride and affection for him.

Episode 4: All of the experiences in this world taught Shuuji to believe in his own righteousness. It seems that Cherubimon, Lopmon's new form, reflects his true strength.

Episode 5: I'm heading into the final battle with Shuuji at my side. I thought he'd be the most nervous of all of us, but I can't see a hint of it in his dogged appearance. I wonder if I can be as confident as him...

Partner: Lopmon The Kemonogami that accompanies Shuuji in the other world. Shuuji can't seem to stand his introverted and timid personality. Lopmon looks pitiful when scolded, almost like he's being bullied. I think Shuuji should be nicer, but for some reason Lopmon doesn't leave his side. I wonder why he doesn't run away...

Evolution Line: Lopmon→Turuiemon (True Route) / Wendimon→Antylamon (True Route)→Cherubimon (True Route)

Name: Ryo Tominaga Age: 15 Height: 162 cm Weight: 51.2 kg Blood Type: AB

Reason for Joining: Ryo didn't tell any classmates he'd applied for the camp. No one figured a lone wolf like him would join something like that, where group activities are unavoidable. The reason was an entry in an old journal of his mom's he'd found: "I hope one day Ryo gets to go to summer camp, and make lifelong friends like I did..."

Episode 1: My first impression of Ryo when I met him at camp was that he's a really intimidating, lone wolf type. But seeing him freak out at the little monsters we've met in this other world makes me think he's not all that scary...

Episode 2: Slowly but surely, this adventure in the other world has changed my opinion of Ryo. I just can't bring myself to dislike the guy. I can tell he's warming up to Kunemon little by little, and is trying to accept him. And the first time he called him his partner, Kunemon finally evolved!

Episode 3: The most surprising thing about Ryo is the way he interacts with his partner, Kunemon. He went out of his way to make handmade tools so they could train together. I would never tell the guy, but there's something almost maternal about it.

Episode 4: Ryo's bond with his partner's only gotten deeper. He wouldn't say that himself, but it's obvious just by looking at him. A part of me is almost envious of him.

Episode 5: From here on out I'm heading to the final confrontation, together with Ryo. Surprisingly, he doesn't seem nervous at all, despite the important battle ahead of us. The way he is now, I'd trust him with my life.

Partner: Kunemon A monster who never leaves Ryo's side, no matter how much he repulses him. Kunemon may look like a large caterpillar incapable of speech, but he seems capable of communication. While he gets worked up over said communication being one-way, the pair somewhat comprehend each other through body language. Ryo acts creeped out when Kunemon frets over him, but that may not be the whole truth of the matter.

But an ulterior motive hid behind the girl's smile: making a "lifetime's worth" of memories. In truth, this might be her last chance, as far as she knew. Toward that end, she'd be as bright, bubbly and unbounded as always...hiding the doubt swirling around inside of her.

Episode 1: I'm not good with people like Saki. Says what's on her mind, gets along with everyone, and really gives you the business if you cross her. Still, she got caught up in this crazy adventure just like I did. To be honest, I'm not sure how this is gonna turn out...

Episode 2: The more I get to know Saki, the less I feel that apprehension I had about her at first. I thought she was a bit sharp-tongued, but over time I've come to see what a sweetheart she is. I wonder if she's dealing with more stuff than I can see on the surface...

Episode 3: Seeing how many friends she had back at school, I'm surprised to see how much Saki cares about her friendships. I didn't expect her to be so worried about getting along with someone so different from her like Aoi... Is there anything I can do to help, I wonder?

Episode 4: Right around the time I truly started seeing Saki as a friend, I came to learn a startling truth: the illness eating away at her. Still, she never uses her body as an excuse to run away... I have to admit, I find myself overwhelmed by her sheer guts.

Episode 5: Even if we win this fight and make it back to the human world, Saki has surgery waiting for her. We'll all be there to support her when the time comes. There's more "memories to last a lifetime" where these came from, and that's a fact!

Partner: Floramon The Kemonogami's been with Saki since she came to this other world. She looks like something part animal and part plant, and her bright and cheery attitude matches Saki's. They're always in sync, helping them overcome any crisis. Floramon gets Saki, and gives her gentle pushes when she needs it. Thanks to that, Saki's learning how to survive here.

Evolution Line: Floramon→Vegiemon→Blossomon→Ceresmon Medium / Xuanwumon (True Route)

Name: Miu Shinonome Age: 11 Height: 134 cm Weight: 29 kg Blood Type: B

Reason for camping: From the bottom of her heart, Miu was fed up with her brother Kaito. Her brother, admonishing her every action; her brother, the annoying, overbearing pain. She fled the house again today to escape his gaze, and that would be the catalyst that led her to Saki's group. "Today's going to be a fun one, I can tell," Miu thought.

Episode 1: I remember being confused when I met Miu. What an odd, free-spirited character... Not that my impression has changed that much. Still, according to Kaito she's been through her fair share of problems. Maybe that's why she's so harsh with her brother?

Episode 2: Kaito's in a bad way after trying to save Miu! Still, this seems to have provoked some sort of change in her. I'm not in Kaito's position, but... I can't help but be worried.

Episode 3: Up to now, the only one who'd protect Miu was her brother, Kaito. But it turns out she couldn't stand the idea of relying on him this whole time. The moment those feelings reached their apex—wanting to change, to become more determined—Mermaimon was released. With Syakomon by her side, it seems like Miu's grown up a bit. Still...apparently I can't tell her brother as much.

Episode 4: Always the protected one up until now, Miu wanted to defend her little friends for a change. Her unwavering heart caused Syakomon to evolve even further! MarineAngemon may be cute, but she's a powerhouse. Having Kaito recognize her growth made her pretty pleased with herself.

Episode 5: Our adventure is almost over...and I think it's safe to say Miu helped us get this far. She's grown so much, into a strong girl that thinks of her friends and fights for them. That's why I believe we can win the final battle.

Partner: Syakomon A Kemonogami, and Miu's partner here in the other world. The hard shell covering her body boosts her defense, I guess. Syakomon is a straight shooter, saying exactly what she means. She's the perfect partner for Miu, and would never abandon her in a crisis. Their connection gives Miu some innate understanding of the Kemonogami.

Evolution Line: Syakomon→Shellmon→Mermaimon→MarineAngemon / Qinglongmon (True Route)

Name: Professor Age: -- Height: 182 cm Weight: 64.9kg Blood Type: AB

Reason for camping: Several years had passed since his last investigation of this land. The professor had dedicated his entire career to researching this topic, traveling the country in pursuit of it. Everything had started here. He had arrived back at his starting point by a circuitous path, indeed. He believed that surely a new discovery would present itself if he investigated this place once again. In the end, this conviction would prove to be right on the money.

Episode 1: I met a man who is supposedly a professor in the area where the camp's being held. It sounds like he's doing research on local legends. Still, I wonder what good it'd do to look into such silly tales...?

Episode 2: While searching the apartment complex, I overheard the professor talking about something complicated with Haru. I'm guessing that the man's hiding something from us... Now what could it be?

Episode 3: Several decades ago, a young professor—the real Haru—wandered into this other world with his sister Miyuki. Then Miyuki used her power to let her brother escape by himself to the human world. But after that, the trauma of the experience caused young Haru to repress his memories of the other world...Renamon blames the professor abandoning Miyuki. But that's not true, Renamon! For decades, the professor has continued his research on the Kemonogami. Even if he couldn't remember, deep down he wanted to save his sister!

Episode 4: The professor said he has things he needs to do in this world: saving Miyuki, and mending fences with Garurumon. For him, Garurumon was his "fated Kemonogami". Garurumon, on the other hand, treats the professor's extended absence as abandonment. There's got to be some way to get these two on the same page!

Episode 5: Garurumon—no, Gabumon, I should say—used to be a cheerful and good-natured creature. Even after separating five decades ago, the two of them were still able to reestablish their bond. To say it moved me doesn't even begin to cover how that made me feel.

Partner: Garurumon The Professor's Kemonogami partner from fifty years ago. He forgot about Garurumon at first, but I'm not surprised: he was so young when they met, I doubt his memories of that time are intact. In order to save her brother, Miyuki separated the Professor from his partner. Garurumon still bears a grudge over this, making him hostile towards us.

Evolution Line: Gabumon→Garurumon→WereGarurumon→MetalGarurumon

Name: Miyuki Minase Age: -- Height: 140 cm Weight: 33.8 kg Blood Type: O

Reason for camping Miyuki continued a life on the run with her brother Haru. Saying nothing, showing no intent, moving in the shadows. They ventured from place to place until finally arriving at this school. Now what would they do? What should they do? The girl spoke nothing of these matters to her brother, staring off constantly into space. She remained silent, holding no hope for the future, simply following her brother's guidance.

Episode 1: I found Miyuki and her brother Haru lurking in the ruins of the wooden schoolhouse. She barely speaks, so I have no idea what she's thinking. The fact that she's survived here at all is probably thanks to Haru.

Episode 2: Miyuki and I returned to our world with Agumon. She was like a different person, talking normally and explaining lots of things to me: about the other world's Master, who controls the fog, and about the song handed down in the Minase family, with the power to connect the two worlds. Miyuki is a special maiden capable of using that song, so the Master's been gunning for her this whole time. Still, decades passed here while Miyuki was stuck in the other world... Doesn't that make her way, way older than the rest of us?!

Episode 3: I can't believe it... Miyuki fell into the enemy's grasp, and now she's turned on us! There's no way we can get back home without her, much less save both of our worlds. We have to rescue her somehow...but how?!

Episode 4: That gentle Miyuki just had her heart sealed away. When we called out to her, she came back to us for the briefest of moments. We still have a chance to turn her back to normal... That’s why I can’t give up.

Episode 5: For hundreds of years, the Master has waited for a maiden to inherit the power of the Minase clan. That's where Miyuki comes in. Still, I never thought of Miyuki as anyone so special. Episode 1: We ran into Haru in the ruined school building. He doesn't speak much, but I felt there was something off about him. Like he's more mature than he should be... I wonder why?

Episode 2: Sometimes I feel like Haru speaks in a way that doesn't match his age. It's like he's more calm than just silent, and he never fails to look after his sister Miyuki. His behavior doesn't seem normal for a kid our age, but maybe it's just my imagination?

Episode 3: Haru—no, Renamon—couldn't care less about us. As long as Miyuki is safe, nothing else matters. Renamon's even willing to trade all of us to get her back... We have to convince Renamon to come back to our side, somehow!

Episode 4: Renamon is determined to rescue Miyuki, and has decided to join forces with us. Having someone as powerful as Renamon on our side is really encouraging. We're heading into the final battle with a truly stellar lineup.

Episode 5: Thanks to Renamon, we've figured out our final destination. I want to help Renamon meet up with Miyuki as soon as we can. Meet, and never have to be apart ever again...

So over on patreon Trevor asked for my take on the Addams Family and I grew up LOVING the Addams family movies so here we are. Instead of doing a straight up style interpretation, I decided to do a full on design challenge, using the characters as bases to make a black southern gothic Addams au. I actually drew the kids first, using the character bases of Wednesday and Pugsley to create some delightful kiddos I'm calling Sunday and Blanche. I of course then redesigned Gomez and Morticia into Carlisle and Mortesha.

The Addams have a very specific high aristocratic goth aesthetic (they've got a butler and nobody really works among other things) so in this re-imagining I wanted to go with vibes that run a little more middle class/upper middle class.  I thought it would be interesting to think about what would be considered weird and off-putting in an entirely different culture, and how being a big ol' goth is way less controversial than it used to be.

I tried to keep this short (HAHAHAHAHAHA) so I didn't spin off into an essay about villain coded families, black people in the horror genre, and normalcy as it pertains to social survival, but just...bits of that are in these designs and lore. Keep that in mind.

Also I made the kids twins because they've flip flopped in age so much in different media and also twins run in my family (i'm the daughter of one). And let's face it, I'm pulling a lot of their southern gothic traits from living as a southern goth so *shrug*.

Or while it was still bleeding.

If she was into that.

Some kids and a mysteriously burnt down Piggly Wiggly later, their love is still as strong and inescapable as a bear trap in a sink hole.

Carlisle Guillermo (now Addams through marriage but I wanted to give him two first names for a name since Gomez has two last names) makes a vaguely described living practicing ‘law’ around town. A loophole king, people come to him from miles around with contracts signed in blood, fights over chunks of hair buried in their rivals’ yard, dehydrated primate hands, memories that seemed like dreams until the evidence of their happenings became too real, and other regular Legal Items asking for counsel which he is all too happy to give. For a price. Sometimes that price is a homemade pie and sometimes it’s a million dollars, depends on who you are. Whatever you’re asked to pay it’s worth that price, and if you try to scam him out of work or he just plain doesn’t like you? Well. He knows how to twist a contract better than anything at the crossroads.

And he always gets his due.

He doesn’t just serve the local (living)humans though, there are many things that need proper legal representation in this day and age. You wouldn’t believe how many city councils try to build on sacred burial grounds even after he lets them know that his ghostly clients are totally gonna haunt the FUCK out of the ensuing shitty condos and curse their families for all eternity. At least 50% of his energy goes towards dealing with real estate bullshit.

Carl is an excitable and good natured(?) man who loves his family, cigars, dancing, and his many knife-based hobbies. People find him very charming once they get past the feeling that they’re talking to a sultry gator badly disguising itself as a human. I didn’t put a ton of deep thought into designing him, mostly I wanted to make a middle aged dude who looked like he would have been voted ‘most likely to smooch the literal devil’ in high school. Tbh he probably has, but no demonic ex’s can compare to his lovely wife~

Mortesha Addams(her name was already perfect so I just tweaked it)is a woman of many talents. A self proclaimed homemaker, she prides herself on a greenhouse full of Concerning Foliage, a beautiful wasp apiary, and a coop full of what are probably chickens that she keeps for what are probably eggs. She’s also an avid creator of the outsider art that can be seen around the estate. She has taken on the family business of selling her homemade goods in a little stall by the road just outside the swamp with her mom, and makes pretty good money doing so. A surprising amount of poison gets bought in quaint southern towns.

Speaking of poison, people who come out to the edge of the swamp to buy it are usually carrying a lot of secrets around, and Mortesha knows most of them. It’s not like she pries the truth out of people, it just so happens that many nervous hellos eventually turn into the tragic backstory power hour if she’s alone with a client for long enough. She supposes that’s just how people are. Despite the fact that the Addams are very active in the community (whether the community likes it or not) she especially, as a direct descendant of the first Addams matriarch, is seen as…Well not an outsider because the community feels A Certain Way about outsiders and despite it all the Addams are their people, but maybe something like an exception. They feel like whatever weirdness they’re hiding can’t be weirder than any given Addams, so they get a little loose with their words.

This is amusing to her, since Addams’ don’t naturally keep the kind dramatic secrets that their surface level prim and proper neighbors do. It’s much more fun to openly talk about those things.

Do they have a sadly decrepit yet terrifying grandma up in the attic? Yeah, like three. They got a tv, all the creepy porcelain dolls they could want, and they’re close to family. Where do you keep your gram-grams?

Any bodies buried on the property? Yeah some, but most are thrown to the gators.

Any creeping through the balmy summer night with ill intentions? Yeah dude, everyone loves a nice family stroll.

What about dangerous forbidden love? If an adult Addams isn’t incorporeal then they’re either queer or in a torrid romance with some person/thing mysteriously drawn to that awful swamp. Sometimes both at the same time. Most times actually.

Mortesha would know.

The current head of the Addams family is just as outgoing as her husband but a lot quieter and harder to read. She never really seems to get mad about much and always has a genteel smile for everyone whether they deserve it or not. A seven foot tall human shaped “Oh, bless your heart”. A perfectly composed Lady even when she’s, oh I dunno, burning down a Piggly Wiggly. You know. A regular southern mom. Chat her up at the hair salon for 50% off a jar of wasp honey with your next purchase of a mysterious but foreboding packet of herbs.

Designing her was pretty easy because I just drew a lankier Grace Jones and called it a day. I had some problems with her outfit simply because if we were going HARD southern gothic then she’d probably be wearing a white/cream dress with a fuller skirt but I thought keeping the silhouette and the black was more important. She’s supposed to be an anti southern gothic southern gothic character anyway. A woman who looks like she has a million secrets who is actually the most open person you could meet. For better or worse. The red hair came from a coloring error that I really ended up liking (my mom had red hair her whole childhood that only darkened up in high school so I can buy that an Addams can be naturally fire engine red) and the veil was to get more of that classic Morticia silhouette in there.

The Children

Sunday and Blanche are the twin children of Carlisle and Mortesha Addams. Some say the Addams clan got their cursed homestead when a wealthy local businessman made a deal with the devil and lost, leaving his grand mansion to his least favorite maid and cutting his losses once he realized that the swamp would do everything it could to drag the house into the water and take what was owed with its horrible curse. Others say that the family has just always squatted there and no one really cares because man, fuck that particular swamp. Have you been in there? Absolute horror show.

Anyway.

Blanche is the more outgoing sibling and quite the engineer/mad scientist in the making. He started going grey at 2 weeks old but considering he was also rocking some extra fingers, toes, and a tiny tail (he takes after his dad), his parents just put it on the 'not life threatening' pile and decided not to worry about it. He's the kind of smart that teachers find utterly infuriating, less a dog eagerly learning and obeying commands and more a hyena who keeps teaching itself how to pick locks. He has a few friends in his school's robotics club (which they honestly allowed him to make so the school could contain his... creations) but mostly hangs out with his sister exploring the swamp. They find all sorts of neat things in there! wedding rings, suspiciously lumpy garbage bags, cloaked cultists who can't read private property signs, it's an adventure every day!

Blanche is all about experimentation with his creations, his look, and his tether to this mortal coil. Is lipstick a cool thing to try? Let's find out. Can he get out of a strait jacket fast enough after being pushed into the depths of the swamp by his sister? let's find out. He's not dead yet and confused local doctors can attest to the fact that he's rarely attained more than a bad bruise so he's pretty set on continuing to kiss rattlesnakes on their cute little heads and have his sister practice her knife throwing at him until that fact changes.

Blanche is very much a country goth. Cowboy boots (customized by his mom), knife, and lighter are daily accessories. He likes to wear the crusty swamp jewelry they find (the rust adds a splash of color!) and despite appearances he does try to keep himself neat. He's just got  natural Grunge Colors and a tendency to wear clothes he likes until they fall apart. Pugsley always seemed the most modernly styled to me (which might just be because little boys clothes have been the same for a long time) so I wanted Blanche to be the most purposely fashionable Addams. Everyone else is goth by nature, but he's the only one truly familiar with goth as an alternative fashion.

I got really into designing Blanche because honestly, I find Pugsley to be the most boring member of the family. And he was hard to design! I had to mess with his vibe a lot to get him looking how I wanted. I know he's supposed to evoke an " 'evil' little boy next door who's parents never reign him in", but that's just goth Dennis The Menace.  I's 2020. We can at least go queer goth Calvin.

Sunday was much easier to design. Wednesday was my favorite as a child (of course) and I really wanted to keep the spirit of her look while adding things like billowy sleeves (it gets HOT down here), big poofy twists instead of braids, and a nice tie. She's a professional after all, been running the local pet cemetery since she was 6 and the previous groundskeeper met with an unfortunate accident after telling her that tarantulas don't have souls. Her specialty is creating beautiful naturalistic animal funerals similar to those that Maquenda (https://linktr.ee/artofmaquenda) makes, and she takes pride in creating miniature dioramas of her subjects after each burial which she uses as a kind of 3D catalog for future clients.

She really wants to try out her skills on humans one day. Well. Publicly try out her skills. Lotta random bodies float into the swamp. None of them have turned down her requests for diorama models so far. Most seem downright flattered. Plus, she usually figures out which graveyard/crime scene they floated over from and gets her parents to give them a lift back. She'll even help enact terrifying revenge from beyond the grave on whoever put them there if she's not, y'know, busy.

Besides arts, crafts, and pet based funerary arrangements, Sunday is an avid lover of archery (any ranged weapon really), books where little fantasy adventure animals die dramatic deaths, and history. She is That Kid who eagerly raises her hand when asked who Christopher Columbus was and ends up being sent out of class after 15 minutes for making 'a scene'. Her favorite party trick is just picking an item in the room and talking about how it relates to either some obscure historical figure with a buck wild life or a horrible disaster. At least one charity pancake breakfast ended with children in tears after her vivid description of the Great Molasses Flood of 1919.

Social-wise, while Wednesday is the girl that people ask to smile because they think she'd, "look so pretty", Sunday is rarely asked anything at all. People just kind of assume from her quiet nature (in between horrible history facts) that she's angry all the time and that she hates everyone. This is untrue. She hates some people but she's ambivalent to most everyone else and even downright friendly if you bother to talk to her like a person instead of a terrifying cryptid. Like, she IS a terrifying cryptid but she's also a little girl.  

That’s about it for now. One day I might do the other family members but for now I’m happy with the four I’ve redesigned. Making an au! Lurch in a family that doesn’t do butlers could be interesting. Over on patreon I put forth that he could just be Motesha’s mute little brother (similar bone structure) but Amy Crook had the nice idea of quote: “ a mysterious "cousin" that "helps around the house" whose origins are both long in the past and faintly unsettling. He's good for lifting heavy things, like that tank of propane you're about to throw into the burning Piggly Wiggly... “ which i now consider canon. Who's kid is he? How old is he? Not important. Anyone willing to commit arson with you is family.
