Parents Regret

01. New addition

Adopting you had been a spurt of a moment for Bruce. Something he hadn't planned to do nor did there were a properly rationally process of thinking about it.
It had been during a round of Patrol, when Bruce had heard a sound from an alley. Checking it out, he found a cardboard box and inside was you. Laying in there, almost deathlike, crying out for anyone and drenched wet from the rain. Bruce picked you up in a instant and brought you the Children Hospital.
That was three days ago and now Bruce was yet again in the Hospital, waiting for the Nurse to bring you. The Doctor had informed him about your well-being and current health.
Besides the obviously signs of malnourishment and possibly shock trauma, you were as healthy as a three year old could be. Though the doctor advised to keep you warm, huddled up in blankets, to avoid a possibility of Pneumonia.
«Mr.Wayne? You'll have to sign a few papers before you can take the little one. Also, additional we would like to ask you to name him, in case of emergency and the sort of.» The Nurse tells him, handing him the papers.
A name for you? Huh, so you were born nameless and not registered. Then it would much easier to get Custody rights for you. While signing his signatures, Bruce thought for a bit, racking his brain for a fitting name for you.
[Name] Wayne. Yeah, that name sounds about right for you. Perhaps he could add one or two middle names too, but not right now—later, middle names are need to be chosen wisely.
Bruce smiled when he finally could hold you in his arms. Holding his index finger out, which you grabbed tiredly. He nodded along to what the nurse tells him about medication and check-ups.
~~~
Jason, with the rest of his siblings, was sitting in the living room, waiting for Bruce. Whatever surprise Bruce had planned to bring home, Jason hoped it was either food or Joker's head. Anything else he didn't care for.
Whatever the surprise was, it had to be something big and important, when Bruce let them have a day off from school today.
They acknowledged when Bruce had stepped in, giving a short greeting and resuming back to what they were doing; watching TV. One of the few shows they all could agree on to watch.
«I would like you to all welcome your new brother, [Name].»
Bruce watched with slight amusement how at first they all mumbled a "yes" and "that's nice".
«WHAT?» like a chorus they shouted it, whipping their heads towards Bruce and looking at the bundle in his arms.
Dick was the first one to get out of his perplexing state. Jumping up from the couch, with full excitement and hopping towards Bruce—taking his new sibling, a baby sibling even, from him and into his own arms. Cuddling the small human and cooing at him.
Dick found you adorable, so damn adorable—the way you blinked at him owlishly, with dopey tired eyes. Never wanted to let go of you and chatting you up already.
«What's the meaning of this Father?!» asked Damian, scoffing and glaring. A new sibling? Doesn't father has already taken in enough strays over the years?
«If you all would calm down for a minute and let me explain.» Bruce sat down on of the armchairs.
And explained he did.
To be honest, Jason rarely sides with Damian or shared the same opinion, but this was one of the few moments he does.
The anger rises in Jason, glaring at the Brat in Dick arms with much hatred as Damian does. They, he, doesn't need a new sibling. Another unnecessary addition to this—in his humble opinion, dysfunctional family.
Like does Bruce wants to raise you as another Robin? To ruin your mental health too? To bring you to deaths door, like how he did with Jason. Or perhaps, Bruce saw you as some sort of publicity accessory.
Either way, Jason doesn't care. Ready to get up and leave, to get some fresh air and blew off some stream of pent up anger. Cassandra stops him, shaking her head in a way to tell him to sit back down.
«You don't expect us to act all lovely dotting now or? If you so desperately want to adopt that brat here, sure, but I won't babysit or to any sort of that shit. Seriously Bruce, yer just fucking insane now!»
«Jason! Don't say such things!»
«Oh, piss off Dick! It's the truth! Bruce's what? 45 years old? Almost 50 and he wants to raise a child in that age? That's ridiculous!»
«Should I have just left [Name] in the alley?» asked Bruce, trying not to raise his voice at Jason.
«No. But there are orphanages or foster care to bring him. Why should we have him anyways?» it was Damian who answers.
«He needs a family, Damian.»
«We're already enough of a family! We don't him!»
A shouting had erupted.
~~~
Dick had left the room before they all, mainly Jason and Damian, begun to shout. He didn't want you to hear this. So Dick decided to walk with you through the manor, to show you everything.
«You will love it here [Name]! Jay and Damian will come around to love you, trust me, they're just a bit grumpy at first.»
«Aah, Master Dick, do you want perhaps show the young master his new room?» asked Alfred, spooking Dick a bit, because he hadn't heard the Butler at all.
«Room?»
«Yes, Master Bruce had set it up some days ago, it's upstairs.»
Dick followed Alfred, rocking you a bit as you looked a bit fussy.
«Say Alfred, what's your opinion?»
«Well, I certainly don't mind little [Name], he brings some new life to this manor, but I admit Master Bruce could have discussed it beforehand. We're here, I will prepare a bottle for the young master.» with that being said, Alfred walks away.
Dick grins down you, excited to see your room.
«Ready? Can't wait to see your room too! It probably looks really cool and –»
Dick stoped when he had opened the door. To be fair and honest, Dick didn't expected that Bruce would know how to decorate at all, but this? This was a utterly disappointment. Only the bare necessities furniture, no colours on the walls and about two stuffed toys.
«Yeah know what, jellyfish? We're gonna go shopping on the weekend and I will spoil you rotten with Bruce's money.»

Batfam and batsis y/n headcons
y/n's Younger Years
8-12 years old
y/n was brought to the manor for the first time when she was 8 years old. Often got lost in the place because of how big it is the first week. If she couldn't find where she was trying to get to and no one was around to help, she'd just slump against the wall. Silently cry until someone was passing by, it was usually Alfred.
Jason just became Robin when y/n rolls in. He doesn't have much of an option of her for the first few weeks. Thought she was annoying with how much she cried and how clingy she was.
She clings to anyone because she doesn't want to be left alone in general and especially not in an unfamiliar environment. Alfred became her favorite first because of his cooking and baking. Jason is the second person she clings to. The only reason Bruce is in third place is because Jason just looked less scary.
When Bruce and Jason come back from a rough mission, Alfred walks up to the both of them before handing them each a paper. "Miss y/n made this for you before going to bed."  The two pieces of paper were drawings of their hero personas. Both written at the top, "My #1 hearo!". The misspell adds to the charm of the crayon drawing.
Sometimes if y/n and Jason happen to be in the library at the same time. She asks him what a word is, what it means, and how to pronounce it. It's kinda cute, until it happens every 3 minutes. He didn't think much of it, just thought that she was just a dumb kid being a dumb kid.
Later speculates that she might be dyslexic and lets y/n reads out loud to him. Helping her sound out the words and whatnot. Surprisingly he finds himself enjoying helping her and kinda looks forward to these readings. He notices how her reading gets more fluent as time goes on and he can't help but feel proud.
Before going off on a mission or patrol, y/n always hugs Bruce. If he's going on a mission she makes sure to hug him longer and tighter. Explaining, "To give you more power to be safe." Does not understand what the hell she's saying, but still appreciates it.
"Why don't you give Jason a hug?" Bruce asks after hearing the explanation. "Because Jason is already strong and protects you. You need as much strength." Bruce kinda just sits there more confused than ever and Jason is smirking to himself. He doesn't understand what y/n said himself, but what he does know is that she said he was stronger than Bruce and that's all he needed to hear.
Whenever Dick comes around to visit, he tries to make an effort to connect with y/n. She already has Alfred, Jason, and Bruce so she doesn't really feel the need to care about him on a deeper level. He's barely there and she already has enough people that she can cling on to.
He'll show off his acrobatic skills and y/n just drily says, "That's cool." Then runs off to find Jason. He's totally not hurt by the fact that his little sister likes Jason more than him. What? No.
It's not like he wanted a poorly drawn Nightwing that had, "#1 hearo", written on it. That he'd treasure and keep forever. No, he didn't care about that. Yep, not one bit. Though sadly he's not able try to bond with y/n as much as he'd liked since he's leading the Titans.
Barbara isn't around when y/n is usually awake. Often handle cams and technical things as Oracle. Though when they do interact y/n just in awe simply by the fact that she's still working in the hero field after what Joker did. Training hard, so that she'd live up to Barbara's legacy as Batgirl.
The two aren't too close yet when y/n is young, but they're definitely closer than y/n is with Dick. y/n totally didn't have a puppy crush on Barbara for the longest time. Okay, she did for a bit.
A year in the manor, Bruce begins to train y/n more. Taking note of how she's quick on her feet, but her punches are slower than her kicks. Is worried how much she looks up to Jason because Jason is rather reckless and doesn't mind putting himself in danger. Honestly he would have liked it if she just looked up to Dick or someone else.
Batman isn't about violence as ironic as it sounds. Violence is only to be used when there is no other way to stop one from harming others. So Bruce was kinda worried that y/n might take a more brash approach by following Jason, but it turned out to be the opposite.
Almost reminded him of Dick with her passive approach. Almost because she's just a bit too passive at times. It takes three years for y/n to be able to take on the Batgirl persona. Mainly because it's taken a while for her not just to dodge, but also take action by attacking.
Taking action probably wouldn't have come sooner if it wasn't for Jason's death. Hearing the news was hard for everyone. y/n was put to bed before it happened, so she was told of what happened by Bruce the next morning. Not saying any explicit details.
Everything around her seemed so much more somber. The man that was telling her what happened while looking away from her felt surreal. It was like losing her parents again.
She became numb. She heard the words and understood them, she just couldn't believe it. Not even when she watched his casket being lowered into the ground, she couldn't believe it.
Seeing how Bruce was putting on a straight face made things harder. It was like nothing had happened. She knew when she was older that was far from the case, but at the time it made her feel like that's what she had to do as well. He spent more time being Batman, that meant she'd spend more time training.
It worries Barbara and Alfred seeing how both of them are becoming closed off. Barbara takes note of how often y/n looks at Jason's memorial. When she tries to comfort y/n, the girl is quick to avoid the conversation. She might just walk away if Barbara keeps pressing on the subject.
Less time playing or drawing. More time in the batcave and avoiding the library. Months after everything Bruce allows her to pick up the Batgirl persona.
Putting on the suit for the first time didn't feel as grand as she thought it would. It left a bitter taste in her mouth. She wanted to rip it off because it felt like there was no point. It felt like all this constant training to be Batgirl was all for nothing. She came up with this fantasy that becoming a hero would free her from this numbness, that it’d make her happy just like it had Jason. Yet all it did was remind her that maybe if she tried harder to become Batgirl sooner that she could have a chance at saving him. She wished she could have hugged him before saying goodnight that night.
The only reason she didn't rip off it and burn the suit was because Bruce was waiting. There was no time to waste since Poison Ivy was on the radar tonight.
Jason's name is rarely said, but thought of more often than not. The only time y/n and Barbra openly talked about him was after dealing with the Joker and Quinn.
y/n didn't immediately leave the batcave like usual after every patrol or mission. She just stood in front of his memorial staring at the costume while Bruce left to do something that y/n didn't care about. It was just y/n and Barbara alone in the cave. "I miss him." Her voice echoed out nearly scared Barbara.
Barbara stopped what she was doing and responded with, "I do too." She waited for a moment to see if y/n would keep talking. She didn't want to push it since this is the first time y/n is even openly talking about him.
After the brief silence y/n asked, "He's in a better place, right? That means I shouldn't be sad, but I still miss him. I don't care if he's in a better place like everyone says, I want him back here with us." That's what opened the floodgates. The rest of the night was spent talking about the late Robin and helping y/n with accepting his death. Also giving her a new found eagerness towards being Batgirl and forming a strong bond with Barbara.
There was no chance of her saving Jason back then, but now she can at least save others from facing the same fate as him.
Then Tim crashes in and suddenly y/n has another brother. If Bruce thought he was good then y/n thought so too. Originally she thought that she wasn't going to be that close to Tim, but they just clicked. Tim thought y/n was so cool when she put on her suit and fought crime with Bruce. He couldn't wait to fight alongside both of them.
y/n saw Tim as a geekier and nerdier Barbra honestly. He may be smarter than Barbra, but she'll always be the best one in y/n opinion.
Tim would try to teach y/n how to hack or code since she showed interest in it, but she never got the hang of it. It usually just resulted in them goofing around. Lounging on the couch while playing video games. Tim was more into games that have sci fi themes, while y/n liked to play fantasy games, but they both loved RPGs. It's clear who was putting more thought in the game because y/n just spams attack and Tim is writing down the crit rates.
By the time Tim comes around, y/n is starting to babble in culinary. If she finishes making something, she'll wander around to find him. Makes him put down whatever he's doing to try what she made. She insists that she doesn't have a favorite when shoving food in Tim's face. "You're my lab rat. Testing if my cooking is edible before I give it to Pa, Alfred, or Barbara."
They used to have the same classes until Tim was able to skip a grade. y/n doesn't tell anyone that she's upset about it, but everyone can tell and Tim makes sure to reassure her. "It's not like we're going to never see each other again, y/n. We'll see each other in the halls and during lunch." She sighs, "I know, I know. Just let me wallow in my feelings and I'll be fine."
When there are low days for y/n that make it impossible for her to get out of bed, Tim sits in her room. Chatting about anything and not leaving her alone unless asked. It's nice that he does that, yet it still makes her feel bad for making him stay with her. It's not like she asked for company and she does need it during those moments. It made her feel like a liability.
Everyone is happy to see y/n and Tim getting along so well. y/n hasn't been as talkative or lively since Jason.
When Tim becomes Robin, y/n is put off by how much he resembles Jason. It kinda scared her. She never realized how similar they both look. It makes her wonder if that's why Bruce adopted Tim and allowed him to become Robin.
Catwoman has a soft spot for the newest Batgirl. She just watches her run around with Batman and Robin. There's just a sense of goofiness to the new Batgirl that she can't take seriously.
y/n's Teenage Years
13- 18 years old
The whole Red Hood ark left y/n with a broken arm, bruises, and wondering if this was what she wanted. It was nice to see Jason again, but it felt like she couldn't approach him. Also spending a lot of time in the batcave with Barbara and Alfred since she couldn't patrol with a broken arm. "At least he didn't break my dominant arm." y/n chuckled to herself humorously, Barbara doesn't laugh and glances at y/n. Barbara didn't find anything funny about it and she's sure y/n didn't either, she was probably still in shock.
Barbara is kinda mad at Jason, may or may not want to run over his foot with her wheelchair. Of course, she understands the betrayal and anger that he feels. She just thinks trying to take out y/n as well is a bit much, well everything that he's doing it a bit much. She just thought out of everyone y/n would be given the most mercy by Jason.
Jason may have forgiven Batman and everyone to an extent, but she just can't help herself from feeling guilty. Of course, she noticed that not only did he distance himself from the family, but her as well. He'd never be in the same room with y/n long enough for her to ask how he was doing. It made her believe that he was resentful toward her. It didn't matter if that wasn't the case, it just hurt that the person she's been missing for years doesn't want anything to do with her.
The thought of if there was even a point to any of this came up once more. Tim was joining the Titans for a bit, Jason was off on his own, Dick was in Blüdhaven or something y/n didn't care, and Bruce and Barbara were doing what they always do. It just wasn't as appealing as it once was. It almost became stale and she found herself feeling happier doing less action packed things.
Then one night y/n impulsively said that she wanted to quit to Burce. It wasn't a surprise to him as he saw her diverging from the path and let her drop the Batgirl persona. Honestly he was glad that she quit, he wished that his other kids would choose to live a normal life. That was one less child to worry about getting killed.
Of course, Barbara is the first to question y/n about her decision. A little while later Tim is the one trying to get an answer out of y/n. Jason is too ashamed to ask or even be near y/n. Dick doesn't find out until a month later after visiting the manor then starts asking if y/n was okay this and that. None of them got a concrete answer except for Barbara.
"It's something I'm not interested in anymore. I want to live a normal life, get married, and have kids. I'm not going to truly have that if I stay as Batgirl. And I'm not like any of you. I'm not good enough, I'm never good enough. Gotham never needed me anyway and they won't be losing anything because I quit."
Hearing that, Barara immediately opened her arms signaling for a hug. Feeling overwhelmed from spilling out her feelings, y/n accepted the hug. "I understand and I won't stop you. If being Batgirl doesn't make you happy, that's perfectly fine. You deserve happiness just like everyone else. The only thing I'm against is you calling yourself worthless. You were a good- no you were amazing as Batgirl and you are amazing when you aren't. Remember that."
Tears are running down the girl's [skin tone] face. Her throat was tight and she knew she couldn't talk without making a guttural sound. So she nodded her head. Barbara held y/n until she let go. Wiping the tears from her face, she turned to Barbara and said, "Please don't tell the others about this." Barbara kept this between them.
It's clear that out of the whole family that Barbara is the first and really only one y/n goes to for emotional support. y/n hates crying in front of anyone seeing it as her personal weakness. y/n is close to Tim, he doesn't know how to respond to y/n's emotions. Barbara seemed to always know what to say and y/n felt more comfortable being vulnerable around her.
The drift from the family isn't noticeable. y/n comes down to the batcave from time to time, but her time there is greatly cut in half. She starts hanging around her best friend, Norah, more often. Joins the track and fencing club seemingly not able to let go of some old habits.
When Tim leaves for the Titans the mark of when y/n and the family drift apart. There's small chat and not complete strangers. When Tim does come back he has taken on a new persona of Red Robin.
It's just a normal day, y/n is messing around in the kitchen when Tim comes up to her. There's just a strong air of anxiety around him that makes her anxious. "y/n, I need to tell you something." She puts down the cookbook and looks at him with a raised eyebrow. He takes a deep breath, "I'm bisexual." y/n's shoulders suddenly relax and she starts laughing.
He's confused and not sure what to do. She quickly explains through her laughter, "I'm sorry. I just thought you were going to say something horrible like you ran over a cat or something. I don't know." Taking a moment to calm herself she adds, "That's cool, I'm bi/pan. I also need to go to the bathroom, could you please watch the water and make sure it doesn't boil over? Please and thank you!"
She doesn't make a big deal over it because she just sees it as normal. It's nothing to celebrate about in her opinion, but she's glad Tim trusted her enough to tell her. Most of the family probably doesn't know her sexuality since she hasn't openly said it. It's just something that she doesn't feel the need to talk about.
Damian enters the picture when it's been almost a year since y/n quit. She is completely put off by how he behaves and has no idea how to handle it. He likes picking on his siblings, but when he picks on y/n it almost seems malicious. Whenever she tries to bond with him or get to know him, he just snaps at her.
Now she kinda knows how Dick felt.
Speaking of Dick, he starts coming around the manor more. Only for Damin of course and y/n can't help but feel almost a little jealous. He never took her out for bowling or anything when she was Damian's age. That jealousy then evaporates seconds later because she realizes how to stupid it is to be jealous over that. Damian needs a lot of help to be integrated into normal society.
Jabs made at her are brushed off as she believes that it's just him coping. He was in a new environment with new people, it was only natural for him to cope in some way regardless if it was healthy or not. His insults were never that bad. Often consisting of calling her worthless.
They were just jabs and nothing more. Not knowing that it was chipping away at her already fragile self confidence. Damian is part of the reason why she doesn't go to the batcave anymore or talk at the dinner table. Also always has something to say, something to nitpick. With how consistent it is, y/n goes to Bruce.
Asking if he could tell Damian to just knock it off just once. She thought that he'd talk to Damian and that things will cool down since she can't even get a word in without him saying something. It's not like he never listened to her anyway. Then Bruce tells her to bush it off. He's just a kid and he's going through a lot. Bruce doesn't even look up from his paperwork when saying this.
It was like y/n was smacked in the face. She wonders if he believes what Damian is saying. That she had no right to be living here with them or that just a freeloader. She felt like she couldn't go to Tim about this as she didn't want to emit that this kid's words were getting to her. She doesn't even want to go to Barbara about this.
Because maybe Damian is right.
y/n didn't deserve to be around heroes. All she did was waste their time when they could have been saving lives. They'd go to her fencing tournaments when they should be locking up villains. She was truly a waste of space.
Lowkey Damian wants y/n to fight him. He wants to see Batgirl in action and see what her fighting style would be like. To some extent he just wants her attention, but how he goes about it just pushes her away. He's seen her fencing a few times and is kinda impressed by her fast and fluent movements.
During her junior year at high school was when she started cutting off ties with the family. Never talking during dinner, never showing up at the dinner table. If she's not out of the manor then she's in her room. Everyone is so busy that no one notices her isolating herself. No one, but Barbara.
Barbara tries talking to y/n, but she is constantly shutting it down. Constantly running away from any conversion. Yet Barbara doesn't give up as usual. Unlike any other times y/n doesn't open up.
One day Barbara said something that made y/n let her walls down. "I'll alway make time for you." She stops walking, thinking to herself before looking over her shoulder and tells Barbara, "I have practice next monday, but after that we could go see a movie or something. If you want." The woman nods her head with a small smile.
Tim is no longer y/n's favorite. Not favorite, just no longer the one y/n hangs out with the most. Barbara is the only family member that y/n lets her walls down for. The only family member that she keeps in touch with.
When y/n gets a boyfriend. y/n makes a beeline toward Barbara for any advice. With how much she gushes over him, Barbara wants to meet him. It takes a while for the two to meet and when they do it's kinda awkward. Xander Jeremiah is every stoic and not sociable. Barbara doesn't know what to think of him, but if he does care about y/n that's all that really matters.
Seeing the two of them interact reminds Barbara of those dumb intj and infp relationship memes she saw online.
y/n Young Adult (Present)
19 years old
y/n doesn't really tell the family much of any and would not be surprised if they didn't know she moved out after high school. As much as y/n wanted to get out of Gotham, she ended up staying because of best friend and boyfriend. Going to college and majoring in art. Barbara and y/n spend a little less time with each other, but still text almost daily.
y/n is forced to interact with her family after Jerome becomes a prominent figure in Gotham and has some odd obsession with her. After an incident at a charity event, y/n is persuaded into staying in the manor. She planned on staying for only a week or so. At least until Jerome was caught and sent to Arkham.
Damian is more mellowed out and almost makes an effort to talk to y/n, but she just tries to get away from him as soon as possible.
Tim is concerned about the aloofness y/n projects around others. Also highly suspicious of that blonde lady that comes around to talk to y/n. She's never been so secretive before and it hurts that she doesn't come to him about anything like she used to.
Jason still tries not to interact with y/n, but he lingers around the manor. He can't bring himself to forgive himself for physically hurting her all those years ago. He promised himself that he'd protect his little sister when he was Robin and broke it again by letting Gotham's newest psycho kidnap her.
Dick acts like everything is fine or is going to be fine. That he and y/n had always been somewhat close. Not taking a hint that he's overstepped a boundary that he never had the right to cross.
Bruce is Bruce. Bruceing around or something, y/n doesn't really know what he does anymore. He's the one who suggests that y/n relearn self defense and she agrees. It's been awhile since she even fought anyone, so she is a bit rusty.
Damian would have offered to teach her, but Dick and Tim are fighting over the possession. Tim wants to reconnect with y/n, back to being friends that have each other's backs. Dick is trying to help y/n. He has the most fighting exprace, so that means he should be the one to teach y/n. Jason is not going near y/n. In the end y/n had Bruce reteach her self defense. It was just like old times.
The whole time there the family is awkwardly interacting with y/n. When at the dinner table there are questions thrown at her. She answers just about any question almost curtly. The only question that she seems to avoid is about the blond lady. "She's just a friend." y/n claims, "Everyone just calls her Echo. It is a childhood name." It was clear that she was lying, everyone knew it, but no one called it out.
They always talked in private. In hushed tones and "Echo" never stayed for long. Honestly Tim thought that Echo was y/n's girlfriend after walking by her room when Echo was in there, he swears he heard y/n say I love you. When Tim told the other about this, Barbara was rolling her eyes. There was no way that y/n would cheat on Xander. Even if they broke up Barbara would have known, she assumes that y/n meant it in a platonic way. y/n has always been quite affectionate in both platonic and romantic relationships.
When Jerome is caught and sent to Arkham, y/n goes straight back to her apartment. It doesn't matter how much they try to get her to stay, Jerome is locked up and there is no reason for any intense security. If they try to counter her argument, she'll just drop the act and lay almost everything out.
"I don't want to be here, I don't belong here, and there isn't anything that is going to keep me here now that Jerome is in Arkham." Her voice wasn't loud, just tired and almost upset.
The most affected by her words is Damian ironically. Her words echo the things he said a while ago. He never gave a second thought of how it affected her. Hearing y/n say that and walk out the manor without looking back left him stunned. He didn't know what to do, what to say. That night he didn't sleep.
The family will try to keep their distance. Except for Damian and Dick. Dick will hang around the college campus and try to drag y/n off somewhere, if her best friend is with her then they'll drag her away before Dick is even able to say anything. Sadly her friend isn't always there, so there are some days she spends the afternoon at the zoo or amusement park with Dick. Damian will just show up at y/n's apartment and walk in like he owns the place. She has no idea how he got a spare key, but she is too busy trying to get him out to think about that.
Damian finds out y/n is in a big sister program and he'll screeching at her. "Why are you taking care of them? You're my big sister, not theirs! They don't have the right to call you their sister!" He's having a mental meltdown in the middle of her living room. She has no idea what the fuck it going on and doesn't know how to handle it. When she tries to calm him down, he starts throwing things and that's when she dials Dick's number.
Dick is able to calm Damian down and drives him back to the manor. Before they go Dick talks y/n. "You know how Damian is, he is very protective of those he cares about. I am just disappointed in both of you. He should haven't reacted that way, but you shouldn't be in that program in the first place. You already have Danian and I think this just made him feel like he isn't important to you." y/n has a severe case of whiplash after hearing what he just said. She can't argue back because he already left.
The rest of the family isn't going to become full blown yanderes until y/n's boyfriend is gassed by Jerome. y/n doesn't want to deal with the family's bullshit, but she goes to them for help. Revealing Jerome's twin brother, but not explicitly stating that Jeremiah is her boyfriend and begs for them to help in finding a cure. Barbara is the one in the room who is the most shocked by this information.
Spoiler they don't find a cure and when Jeremiah is pushed over the edge, that’s around the time they are too.
I'm cutting it off here. I wrote so much and I might pick this back up. I’ve just been listening to FNAF ambience music while writing this. Have yet to proofread this, so sorry for any and all mistakes.

*The story would be like *Unter the red hood* where Jason sees the reader when he fights Bruce and Dick… I don't know what to add srry
Tumblr media
This song got me into the headspace whilst writing this along with Mr Loverman. 🦦also I’m adding the fact that reader knows Jason during his time as Robin cuz I can.
Jason had taken many things into account with his plan but the one thing he didn’t however was seeing you again, and god were you still as beautiful and or handsome as the least time he saw you, a little worn and tired and yet you were still you; Fierce, powerful, kind, sweet, loving, generous, you.
His Achilles heel, now and forever.
He still remembers the times where he would always go to you whenever he got himself injured from crime fighting with Bruce and was too stubborn to accept medical treatment. He always did prefer your approach to patching him up, scolding him for his sheer recklessness whilst still being tender with his wounds, telling him with sarcasm that you much prefer to have him alive rather then dead at your fire escape.
To which he laughed despite it hurting his fractured ribs. ‘You worry too much about me, buttercup. If I didn’t know any better I would start to think that you care for me more than a friend.’ He teased, nudging you in the side with his good arm. You scoffed but you neither denied nor confirmed that you did in fact care for him more than a friend because you genuinely thought at the time that you would have enough time to tell him.
You were wrong…Jason died not long after.
You grieved hard and for so long afterwards, always sitting on rooftops by yourself whenever you missed him more then most days, only to feel your heart break even harder and before you knew it you were crying, crying your heart out in pain, anger and loss at the very city that ruthlessly took him from you until your throat went hoarse or your eyes had no more tears to shed. You didn’t want to believe that Jason was gone, never to come back and greet you on the fire escape with that cheeky smile despite being conceded in cuts and bruises.
Even now you still look out towards the fire escape whenever you heard a peculiar noise coming from there, thinking that this was the one, this was the moment where everything went back to normal, that you would see Jason again and that everyone was lying to you. Only to be disappointed every single time.
So to be stood here now, across from the man known as RedHood, something about him strikes familiarity in you but yet felt forgein at the same time.
‘Buttercup?’ RedHood asked in disbelief and your eyes widened. Only Jason called you that nickname and when he did, it felt like home. So when RedHood said it, it made you feel the exact same way. ‘Jason?’ You whispered tentatively, almost as though you were expecting for that small glimmer of hope that you desperately held onto to be shattered into a million pieces. ‘You’re alive?’ You added.
‘Came just as a surprise to me too.’ He replied strongly, only for his voice to grow soft when he then said, ‘I’m sorry that we never got enough time…I just thought-‘
‘That we would have enough time?’ You interrupted, smiling at him bitter sweetly, already having had similar enough thoughts yourself. There wasn’t a single moment in your life after his death did you think about whether or not things would’ve played out differently had you told him, or how his death would hurt you even more then it already did had you told him that night.
Now that he was right in front of you, it felt as though far was giving you that chance to find out but you were frozen to the spot. You knew this man was Jason, he was practically telling you with his body that he was but he was too different from everything that had happened to him, he’s been through things that you could only being to imagine.
He was your Jason but he also wasn’t.
‘Yeah.’ Jason said defeatedly, wishing to go back to the night where you first met, two young and naive kids who had no clue of what the future held for them and how it would tear them apart in the worst ways, only to bring them back together in the most unlikely circumstance but this time on opposing sides.
Silence befell you both, allowing for everything to sink in but it didn’t prove in making anything that happened before your fated reunion any better, it didn’t take away the hurt and the grief you felt nor did it take away the pain and the anguish that Jason felt. Seeing each other again didn’t magically heal either of you, if anything it made you incredibly numb to anything and everything that could possibly come next.
‘Nightshade, any visual on the RedHood?’ Bruce asked through the intercom and just like that the peace was shattered and the reason why you were here in the first place was revitalised. ‘Negative Batman. I lost him after he blindsided me.’ You replied, eyes still locked onto to Jason as you headed Bruce’s next chain of command before switching off your intercom, consequences be damned, you’ll deal with what’s to come later; As for now all you wanted to do was ingrained this version of Jason to memory before you were destined to part ways once again.
‘You should go, I’ve given you a brief window to escape but it won’t be long before he figures out somethings amiss.’ You told the vigilante, just about getting ready to leave when he desperately grabbed at your arm. ‘That’s it? You’re just going to leave after finding out I’m alive? Do you even care?!’ Jason roared and it was enough for you to snap because how dare he think that you didn’t care about him when he was all you ever thought about after his untimely death. ‘I always fucking care about you Jason!’ You exclaimed. ‘No! I fucking loved you but you died! You fucking died. I told you that you’d get killed one day and but you didn’t listen! You never listen! Do you know how much i grieved for you, mourned for you!? I became a vigilante IN YOUR MEMORY! So go ahead and claim that I don’t care for you when all I ever done was care for you, you stupid boy because I was stupid enough to fall first!’
Jason froze. You loved him? Since when and why didn’t he know? Why did you tell him? But most importantly, why him? He’s broken, he wasn’t worth your time.
You smiled weakly at his silence and quietly slipped from his grasp and left to meet up with Bruce and Dick, knowing it was for the better. Silently hoping that you would get to see him again but you weren’t exactly holding onto any form of hope.

Robins being Robin Commentary #5-6
Fourth and Final Part!
Tumblr media
Immediate Bald Damian Jump scare. Also kind of reminds me of Aang.
Tumblr media
Batmans been having an angsty night stroll. Found a picture of a girl that looks like Jenny Wren, I wish he was talking about Cass here but I know he’s talking about Jenny Wren
Tumblr media
Ok so Dick shining stuff in their eyes got them stuck in a simulation. They had to play it through to escape using Tim’s guidance. All of their seemingly perfect life’s that Bruce thought they might have lived without him fell apart (Steph leading a super team, Damian’s monk lifestyle, Jason’s race car driver dream, and Dicks super spy life. Tim being kidnapped wasn’t in the simulation but he did find out while hacking it that Bruce thought he’d be a video game designer.)
Tumblr media
Exactly! Not only does Batman need Robin and Robin need Batman. But the entire support structure is important
Tumblr media
On a continuation of Tim suffers hour. She is going to use headlight to make him look like the villain Batman blames. So at least Batman has a no kill rule
Tumblr media
Time for them to see gauntlet zero. But ahhh! Damian called Tom his brother! I know I already freaked out when Tim called Damian his baby brother but both are amazing occasions
Tumblr media
Ope! Well Robin ought to have been traumatic for Bruce. Not to mention that this means Jason isn’t even the first Jason. By the time Jason came around he’d already lost a kid, granted she wasn’t as much of his kid as the robins since his home never really became hers but still
Tumblr media
More Tim Suffering. The way it takes three of the Batkids to hold him off when he thought someone hurt his kids.
Tumblr media
Ahh yes my favorite mind control (or other situations where the mind is messed with) trope. Telling the person something only they would know as the other is hurting them. (Also little Dick is so cute I love him)
Tumblr media
Yay! A happy ending! Bruce is part of family talks now! (Please just add Babs, Cass and Duke too now! Maybe Kate sometimes)

You may have already mentioned this in some of your other metas, and I just missed it, so please ignore this if it's redundant.
Do you think Bruce is projecting onto Jason by pushing him as a Robin? Obviously, Jason wanted to be Robin and was excited about it, and Bruce let Jason do other things, but (if I'm not mistaken) before Tim came into play, solidifying the whole Batman needs a Robin/support to keep him upright, Bruce and Dick becoming Batman and Robin, in the beginning, was also sort of a coping mechanism.
I think there are a few examples of Bruce enabling this kind of mindset. Like in Gotham Knights #43–44 (sorry), every time Barbara brings up Jason's inner turmoil, Bruce refocuses on his ability as a Robin; similarly, when Jason finds out about Two-Face and his dad, he is hurt, and Bruce acknowledges that but then does the same thing, zeroing in on reassuring Jason that he made a mistake but is still a good Robin.
Like, Jason got it from Bruce, but he unintentionally encouraged that kind of thinking.
oh, i definitely think that bruce is projecting on jason and that it profoundly affected jay. and, while every single one of your observations is apt, i would add that what truly made it so tragic is that he projected his own worst traits on jason while being blind to the fact that jay already shared his best qualities.
tldr: bruce projects himself on jason in terms of grief (saying that jason needs vigilantism to work his grief through) and sees his own worst traits in jason (anger) but doesn't see his own best traits in jay (compassion, love, and sensitivity). ironically, jason does end up developing all of the (projected) worst characteristics of bruce (obsessiveness, and relentlessness in pursuit of the respective perceived idea of justice). this happens even though they were barely present in his early storylines, and only ever manifested when jason was scared or lost. later, they truly came to be because of his trauma relating to vigilantism.
and the long, long version, coming with panels and quotes: under the cut.
first i want to say that the following analysis focuses very specifically on bruce's mistakes, but i don't view the overall of jay's upbringing by bruce solely in these terms. from text it is also clear that bruce deeply loves and cares about jay, and that jay enjoys being robin. now that this is clear, let's get to particularities, and start with jay's origin story.
i truly never stop thinking about the significance of bruce meeting jay in the crime alley, the place of his parents' death. there's a lot to be said about it, but here the focus is, of course, on the fact that he sees a little boy, very much similar to himself, angry and hurt, in the same scenery that brought him so much grief. and jay in some ways does appear to be a mirror of bruce's own agonies, as well as a mirror of his own inclination for seeking justice; and somehow, bruce fixates on the first one, while almost completely dismissing the latter.
bruce looks at him and assumes that the remedy to jason's pain and anger is being robin; and he doesn't stop to think about it. (it has to be noted that there's also classism at play, classism that is mostly a result of writers' own beliefs – collins did state in a couple of interviews that that the motivation behind jason's background was to make his introduction into vigilantism seem less offensive, as jason has already been exposed to crime...)
i think, in this context, it's interesting to look at the two-face storyline even closer, and from the start too. in the beginning, bruce talks of jason's 'street' roots and assumes jay would go "down the same criminal road that took his father [willis] to an early death." he also talks of jason making a lot of progress. later, in batman #411, after jason learns that willis has been killed by two-face, bruce comments that jay "has never been like this...listless...almost pouting--"
Tumblr media
this all, along with jay's cheerful and diligent behaviour from the previous issue builds an interesting picture for us: because we essentially learn that jay has been overall an unproblematic child. bruce, of course, attributes this "progress" to the training. however, for anyone else, the logical conclusion would be that jay's quick adjustment was simply a matter of finding himself in a safe and stable environment and receiving continuous support and attention from a parental figure. i find it rather questionable that jason's personality softened down because he had something to punch in the cave–– the more intuitive explanation is of course that he was angry and quick to fight when they first met because he couldn't afford anything else and because he was scared. but months later, in a loving home, he can allow himself to drop his guard; and his cocky attitude disappears until much later.
so the rather unsettling picture that we derive is that bruce is training jay to become a vigilante in order to "channel" his (nonvisible at this point) anger into something useful and just. and he clearly links this to his own trauma in batman #416 (that’s already starlin btw), in his conversation with dick, explaining why he took jay in: “he’s so full of anger and frustration… he reminds me of myself, just after my parents were killed.” bruce also mentions that soon after their first meeting, jason helped him and "handled himself well" in the fight, but he doesn't mention that jay has ran away from a crime "school" and intended to stop injustice on his own only because he was ignored.
the theme of bruce comparing jay to himself appears again in detective comics #574 (barr), where it is approached with a much more... critical look, thanks to leslie's presence and her skepticism of bruce's actions. after jason has suffered nearly fatal injuries at the hand of the mad hatter, bruce reminisces on his own trauma and motives. he tells leslie: "i didn't choose jason for my work. he was chosen by it...as i was chosen." leslie replies: "stop that! (...) you do this for yourself... you're still that little boy (...)" then, the conversation steers to the familiar ground and the topic of anger. in bruce's words, again: “i wanted to give jason an outlet for his rage…wanted him to expunge his anger and get on with his life…” and finishes "and instead, i may have killed him."
the recognition that bruce's projection on jason and involving him with his work might have fatal consequences is, as always, fast forgotten once jay wakes up and proclaims that he wants to continue his work as robin.
but to circle back, i think there's something else worth our attention, something deeply ironic, that is showcased in that issue: that bruce has no evidence for jay's "rage." when leslie talks of bruce's past, she recalls his tendencies to get into brutal fights at perceived injustice as early as in school; when bruce talks of jason, two pictures that are juxtaposed, are that of jason fighting as robin and jason... smiling, playing baseball.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
so, in the early days of jason's training and work in the field, we see bruce talking of jason's anger a lot; but we barely see it.
that being said, jay is angry sometimes– and i think your observation about how bruce deals with it is incredibly interesting and accurate.
we first see jay truly and devastatingly angry in the two-face storyline. bruce focuses on jay's reaction as robin, which is, in fact, aggressive. but something that he barely addresses is that jason's first reaction is sleeping all day, and not beating anyone to a pulp; in fact, this vengeful instinct seems to arise only when he is put right in front of two-face. and his third instinct, once the rage (very quickly) dies down after the altercation with two-face, is crying, because bruce hid the truth about willis' death from him. jay, while crying, asks bruce: "you have taken me out into combat-- but you spare me this?" in response, bruce lectures jason about how grief inspires revenge, which is, again, deeply ironic, given that jay seeking out revenge seemed to be prompted and enabled solely by the role of robin. moreover, his question suggests that at this point he saw grief ("you spare me this") and fighting as two different things.
the final is, as you said, bruce focusing on making it into a lesson on vigilantism, or, in his own words, "tempering revenge into justice." personally, i think in this way bruce directs jason to bring his grief into the field as a powering force, something that he didn't necessarily have an own incentive to do. the flash of compartmentalisation between his ordinary life and being a sidekick that jay has shown by questioning bruce's decision is lost. emotions are now a robin thing, and they have an (informal) protocol, a moral code. and when jay is confronted with an emotionally exhausting case next – the garzonas case, i believe that the focus on "tempering revenge into justice" is exactly the problem– we don't see jay crying, we see him frantic about finding the solution. this, right there, is bruce's obsessiveness, that in my opinion, was developed in jay specifically as a result of how his engagement with vigilantism combines with his deep sensitivity.
and, needless to say, his sensitivity is all the same as that of bruce – they both can't stand looking at other people hurting, they both wear their hearts on their sleeve, caring way too much – the thing is, bruce never quite acknowledges how they are similar in this matter. instead, he focuses on his sparse bursts of anger, wanting to bring jason closure in his grief the only way he knows it – in a fight for a better world. so, as you said, he focuses on jason's ability as robin.
which just doesn't work for jason. at all. we know it from how his robin run comes to an end: in the first issue of a death in the family (batman #426) alfred informs: “i’ve come upon him, several times, looking at that battered old photograph of his mother and father, crying.”  to that, bruce contends: “in other words, i may have started jason as robin before he had a chance to come to grips with his parents deaths.” he also tells jay that the field is not a place for someone who is hurting; a message that is the opposite of what he's been saying for years now, and something that i imagine was difficult for bruce to conceptualise, because then he would have to question his own unhealthy tendencies. it's a bit late to come to this realisation; bruce's self-projection that caused him to worry so much about jay's anger has already turned into a self-fulfilling prophecy that will fully manifest itself in utrh, when jason does the only thing he was taught to do with grief: try to channel it into justice.

Hi, just wanted to say that I love your Battinson headcanons!
How do you think Battinson would react to Tim Drake? Tim is introduced to the Batman storyline at such a difficult time in Bruce's life and we all know he doesn't always deal with that particularly well in canon so I'd be interested to know your take on Battinson's reaction!
Thanks! :D
Hellooo! Sorry for the late response haha
In the comics, Bruce was very distant to Tim at first due to Jason's death, and Tim kinda had to force his way into the family and the robin role
For Battinson, I feel like he wouldn't be distant per se, but more..afraid? He wouldn't act cold with Tim upon first meeting (his soft maternal instincts just activate with any child) and would probably be a bit reserved because obviously he's still mourning Jason.
Tim in the comics was pretty straightforward and inserted himself into Bruce's life without giving a single fuck, which I wanna keep the same in this universe lmao, and given the nature of Battinson's personality, he wouldn't fight it at all lmao
This small child adds himself to the family and Battinson!Bruce is like "Well ok 🧍‍♂️I guess you're mine now"
He doesn't stop Tim from visiting him often and enjoys his company quite a bit. Bruce is very gentle and soft-spoken with him, and bit by bit, Tim starts to get closer with Bruce and in a way, helps distract him from the crushing grief of Jason's death.
There are some occasions where Tim will find Bruce softly crying inside Jason's room and the two will end up talking about what Jay was like. It helps ease the pain for Bruce and let's him move on in a healthier way.
When Battinson finds out Tim's parents aren't around much, he has to fight the deep urge to snatch the kid and adopt him on the spot(he already wanted to do it after Tim bluntly told him he knew Bruce was Batman because omg??intelligent small child??).
I feel like this Bruce would not make Tim robin. I feel like the first time Tim even suggests being robin, Bruce gets genuinely upset and vehemently does not let him close to the costume. Bruce would explain how he could not let the same thing happen to Tim, and instead trains Tim to take on a sort of Oracle role in this universe.
It kind of reassures Bruce that Tim is safe in the cave guiding him, and satisfies Tim's desire to help Bruce on patrol.
It also keeps Bruce from becoming too violent or hurting himself too badly when he's out, because now he has another child to go home to and also he doesn't want Tim to see all the violence from the cowl footage. So that's how I see Bruce distance himself from the destructive crime fighting behaviour
This is just my personal hc, but I feel like in this universe, the Robin mantle would end at Jason. Battinson probably couldn't bear the thought of another kid in that costume.
This would probably lead to Tim creating his own vigilante suit and name once he gets older and Bruce can't stop him.
(This might also change the outcome of Jason's return since Tim wouldn't appear as a replacement anymore)

Alright gay people. Be prepared to lose your shit:
Ronance Lemonade Mouth AU
Nancy is Stella!!! Because I said so!!! Nancy deserves a rebel era and I can so see her being upset about the arts funding being cut for sports, including journalism. Electric guitar player Nancy my beloved >>>
Robin is Olivia, the shy, socially awkward songwriter and singer!!! Going to have her living with Steve as opposed to a grandma or something, but keeping the cat (who ironically in the movie is named Nancy). Might keep the her dad is in prison part? Undecided on how I’m translating Olivia’s background to Robin.
Speaking of Steve, he gets to be Charlie, the drummer! Keeping the pretty hair and parental pressure, but instead of wanting him to go to Stanford or play soccer, his dad wants him to join the insurance firm.
Eddie is Wen because Stella/Wen friendship > Nancy/Eddie besties ofc. Rather than coming in with rap, he adds amazing guitar riffs and heavy metal elements to the band’s sound. His family trouble involves settling in with Wayne, rather than dealing with a new stepmom.
And Mo was hard to decide, but!!! Our own Chrissy Cunningham. Her mom puts so much pressure on her to be the perfect daughter and Mo’s relationship with the one guy translates far too well to Chrissy’s relationship with Jason. Chrissy bass player arc omfg.
The rival band includes Jason, Billy (the one shitty guy who always starts drama), Tommy H, and Lucas (mirroring the basketball team here). Lucas tries to settle the drama throughout the AU.
The story begins when everyone gets detention. Robin and Chrissy were skipping class, Nancy blew up at someone about a news segment. Eddie got mad at a teacher, and Steve hit someone with a basketball (on accident).
The music teacher is Joyce and she leaves them all alone and that goofy little music moment happens and they all sing together.
Instead of Mel’s Lemonade, hear me out: Argyle’s Lemonade.
Robin has severe stage fright, but the band helps her get through it, especially Nancy. She and Steve live together. Eddie is often over to help with lyrics. She has an old ass cat that’s the last thing she has of her mother, just like Olivia.
Nancy gets to be rebellious in this fic. Her dad thinks she should just settle for a white picket fence (when he bothers to pay attention to her at all), her mom doesn’t really fight it, so Nancy rebels. She’s also getting the school newspaper together after the funding cut. Tell me this girl isn’t the kind to protest lack of free speech and the removal of the lemonade machine.
Eddie was only just sent to Wayne. It’s supposed to be temporary. In the same way Wen gets used to his stepmom, Eddie has to get used to Wayne and they do eventually grow closer. The scene where it’s revealed that Wen’s stepmom is moving in is instead Eddie arriving home to all of his belongings there in boxes and his parents nowhere to be seen—his stay is suddenly much more permanent.
Steve’s dad wants him to be an athlete (basketball) and join the insurance firm, but Steve just doesn’t want that. He quits basketball for the band and there’s some family struggle.
Rethinking the living situation, I may have Robin and Steve move in together partway through the story as opposed to the beginning, but I’m unsure where that leaves Robin. Her background is the hardest to work out.
Chrissy learns to stand on her own, gets away from her mom’s expectations, and sees Jason as the manipulative shitheel he is. Naturally she falls for one of the band’s biggest fans: Vickie.
Dustin plays the role of the AV kid that helps the band throughout the movie. He shows Nancy around in the beginning, explains the budget cut, and he makes the first vinyls for the band.
Nancy gets to rock Billy’s shit because I said so.
In the end scene, it’s Max and Lucas who save the day. Lucas leaves the rival band to help Lemonade Mouth out, Max is the first person in the crowd to start singing.
Steddie is established already. Ronance is the focus. Any of the Wen/Olivia scenes will be Ronance instead because I said so. Rumors circulate that Eddie and Robin are dating because Steddie keeps quiet and Robin isn’t out and the whole band finds it hilarious.

Justice Poké league
So basically it was a reblog answer but it's LONG and not in the initial sudjet so I'm making it its own post
@radiance1
hum, I already think that some would be evolutions (superman or Oracle) and others not
clark ken - normal -lvlup-> superman steel flying (can return to normal type with the item Glasses)
batman - fighting dark (Infiltrator)
wonder woman - fighting fairy
Flash - normal electric ?
green lantern : then particular case I think that green lantern would be a talent which makes the type psychic with the ring
GL Hal Jordan: flying maiby flying steel -> flying spychic
GL Kyle Rayner: fairy (because Ion is an artist, nothing to do with his sexual orientation -_-)
GL John Stewart: psychic ??? for me architect = wall and it's psychic attacks maybe then he is twice psychic so double stab and resistance and double weakness?
so I don't know him, but I know things, he was accused of terrorism and has an occasional vision of the future, so fire if you want to have a bad sense of humor or dark because his vision reminds me absol soooo GL Simon Braz: Dark
GL Jessica Cruz .... I have NO idea what she was doing as a civilian before being pushed to be a heroine
Martian Manhunter: spychic ghost, why ghost, for the change in density, the invisibility but also because mourning is part of him and his writing
Aquaman: water (dum)
Green Arrow : normal (the pure normal type is legitimate! and is not just lame! please, the 1g meta was dominated by them, they often have a move set diversify and the move set aspect hyper difersify fits like a glove a green arrow) and if you are really anti normal then fighting
Zatanna: psychic (of course)
Constantine: Dark ghost (I mean… cursed and sold his soul + demon blood)
Cyborg electric steel
Shazam electric flying
Blue Beetle electric bug
Dr Fate : ghost phychic or an item that adds the ghost type on a spychic type and spychic otherwise
Booster Gold: Dark (he can go back in time and become thanks to the action of stealing the museum in which he works)
Hawkman flying dark (traitor / double agent)
hawkwoman flying fighting (or steel or electric with his mace)
batgirl: fighting -> Oracle: spychic
plastic man civil dark (voleur) -> hero: ground dark so I know that this choice seems strange BUT! he is a fan of puns and he tries to "bury" his thief reflex / his kleptomania … in addition the plastic is immune to electricity sooo ground
Starfire: fairy / fire all space related pokemon tend to be either phychic or fairy but as flying and psychic are already very representative and that his power comes from his emotions finally
Robin (Dick): flying fairy -> Nightwing: flying dark (with access to electric attacks)
Robin (Dick): flying fairy ->Red X: Dark fairy (so, i like the idea of a pokemon that always changes one of its types to dark as it evolves and that type has different aspects (wrongdoing / obscurity) depending on evolution and it's a different type that gets lost during evolution. Red X and above all a thief and not by real choice at first, I'm not going to dwell too much, but the image of him having his wings clipped is just too lively and poetic to pass up)
Jason préRobin : fighting dark (tire theft) -> Robin (Jason): fighting fairy -die in a fight after gaining a level (so in a trainer fight / serious fight)-> red hood Ghost Dark/Fairy like this one I think I have to explain it: for how it evolves, yep to make it possible only against a trainer who can kill it and after having already fought well, it's original, but given the methods of he evolution introduced in legend is not out of place either. For the ossilation between two types, dark is for rage pits and fairy because its goal is always the revival of the alley of crime, moreover the contrast seems cool to me :3
tim prés robin: Dark -> Robin (Tim) Dark fairy (-> stalker=Dark and so far fairy for all the robins because they supposed to represent hope) -> red robin : ..... dark losing robin's mantle makes him lose the fairy type without preventing him from learning fairy attacks, moreover it's an evolution that has been reversed so … red robin is a mega evolution?
Robin (Damien): Ghost fairy (I hesitated, but I wanted a different type for each robin and the al gull lineage is associated with lazarus and death. As long as he follows the blood heritage mentality he stays in the al gull mentality and therefore the ghost type for me)
Beast boy: normal protéen
Raven: Dark fairy (fairy and not psychic because its powers are dependent on its emotion (like starfire) and the aspect controls darkness and more obvious than the purely magical aspect
hum, I think we've covered this important enough or that I feel comfortable enough to have an opinion.
BUT I would like your opinion on how the DC heroes or characters would be as pokemon.
at firstI also wanted to give them ability and secret Ability but I've been there for hours and my pc has already overheated once ^^'

Thinking about Timmy Todd existing in a world where Jason as the Red Hood exists and how much Tim having basically exactly Jason's backstory would fuel Jason's thoughts about being replaced to new heights
Oh I like this, I very much like this.
Tim and Jason grew up sorta friends with their scummy dads kind of running in the same circles. Jay views Tim as a little brother, someone he's gotta keep an eye out for in the Alley to make sure nothing happens to him cause Timmy sometimes has his head in clouds. Thinks Batman and Robin are the coolest despite them always trying to bust their fathers.
Tim sneakily hides Jay in his apartment when Catherine Todd dies but, one day, Jason doesn't come home. He disappears and Tim is freaking out, trying to figure out what happened to his best friend/sorta brother. Few weeks later, he sees Jason's picture in the paper having been adopted by Bruce Wayne. Jack is spooked and moves the family away from the usual apartment, maybe even changes names. But Tim, Timmy is suspicious.
He doesn't think Jay would leave him go willingly. So he tracks down everything he can about Wayne, certain that there's something nefarious going on. And the more he learns, the more things don't add up and he's more convinced than ever that Wayne is doing something bad with Jason. In this AU, Tim didn't see the Grayson's fall and didn't have the resource to connect Batman and Bruce. So Tim does his best to track down Batman and tell him what he's learned.
Tim gets more and more frantic the more he learns. He tries to get close to Jason but the security around the Waynes is intense and he's just an Alley Rat. But Tim is clever, he starts trailing after Batman but starts taking photographs of the Wayne family to gather evidence of wrong doing. From the outside, it looks like all is well, Jason looks happy. But sometimes he has unexplained bruises in photos. Sometimes Wayne or Mr. Grayson gets an odd, serious look in their eyes.
Tim is so busy stalking the Waynes that he almost misses a new Robin hitting the streets. So concerned about Jason he doesn't connect why this new Robin seems to patrol exclusively in Crime Alley, to his and Jay's old hang out spots. They circle each other for months and finally Tim feels he has enough evidence to give to Batman. He tracks down the dynamic duo with a backpack pull of illegal photographs and finds his best friend in a mask and cape. They leap into each other's arms and hug it out for a long, long time. Tim pulls back and looks up at Batman who he's just seeing up close for the first time but has seen for months behind a camera lens.
"I guess I finally get to meet you friend," Mr. Wayne sighs beneath the mask as he loads both boys into the Batmobile. Apparently Jason had been searching for Tim the whole time but Jack's paranoia kept them on the move so Jay couldn't track them down. But he talked Bruce and Dick's ear off about his little brother. Tim already felt like part of the family before they ever laid eyes on him and, well, we all know little Tim is adorable. Jack Drake is busted on numerous charges and Gotham is shocked by Bruce Wayne adopting another street kid within the year.
And Jason is so busy learning to be a good vigilante, figuring out how to be a little brother while he perfects being a big brother that he never bothers asking about his biological mother. He's got all the family he needs right here.

Right. Well. I hope you're ready for this because I have a lot to talk about for yearbook 🤣
Firstly, I loved the structure of this chapter. A day in the life of Eddie, centered around his session. How Ms Kelly has had to draw him out over a few days. Because yea, he's made it there in the first place, but it doesn't automatically mean he's gonna be a model of open conversation and spilling his guts straight away. Felt very real that, like 'well I've shown up, what more do you want from me?'
Him just having a minute and sitting observing everyone from his van. Like his little moment of calm. It actually was like a scene from a movie, it reminded me of the first episode of season 4, as Robin is getting out of Steve's car and we're dipping in and out of everyone's conversations and goings on. Loved this.
Then his view of R coming into school, how he held back but still gave her that sign of solidarity with the thumbs up. He's so precious, I can't cope. And she needed that so much, her thinking about it later on to get her through the shitty parts of her day was perfect.
R's dad telling her that she basically deserves anything awful that happens to her, just for being a good person. Urgh that guy has some serious issues. Of all the people that need some therapy...
Then Chrissy! She made so many smart choices in this chapter. You've characterised her really well in this. Like she's presented as this really sweet and kind person in the show, but would she have stayed true to that when it mattered in a difficult situation with an audience? I love that you have her do that. Their lunch scene with Dustin was hilarious. Eddie's 'WHAT?!' After the marriage talk 🤣 pal, you would have her in a hot minute.
Really enjoyed the coaches comedy relief after the Jason/Eddie confrontation, and that R and Eddie had more conversation. Especially when it's flirting, could read them like this all day 😍
Honourable mention to Wayne again, for basically being a solid parent and showing Eddie what 'stable' looks like. I hope R meets him at some point and thinks 'oh shit, this is what a dad's supposed to look like'
Strange note for me to end on but I love how you full name everyone when they're not in direct conversation with each other, I've noticed it the past few chapters and it feels very 'Morgan Freeman doing a narrator voice over' and I'm here for it. Can't wait to see what happens next! 🖤🖤
Yes! I've been waiting for you. *in ominous voice*
Let me tell you, when I first began writing this chapter, I just completely free-balled it, I had no clue what was going to happen. I began writing the first couple of paragraphs, when it hit me. This story should totally revolve around Eddie's session AH- I felt like a fucking genius!
I honestly loved that added detail of him just observing. When I write I feel the need to just insert the most meaningless details, but I think it does a good job with just setting the mood around the story. If anyone is every struggling with writing, truthfully, adding specific details can really help!
And the little thumbs up 😭 everyone needs a little thumbs up from Eddie Munson! Especially after that sick interaction with her father, ugh 🤮
Our Chrissy Cunningham redemption arc has been completed! 🩷 I loved how sweet her character was in the show, and I definitely wanted to stick by that, but of course, I wanted to emulate a changing relationship between her and Jason, one where the other person is just someone who's not who they used to be. And given that it's implied that her mother is taking quite some control over her life, I really wanted to be able give her the opportunity to do what she wanted.
And we loved their little "girl talk" with a clueless Dustin.
And I love the idea of Reader meeting Wayne. Especially since we already got extremely intimate moments in her bedroom, I can definitely add some raw moments in his house.
And I think I've said this before, but I FUCKING RAGE OVER USING CHARACTER'S FULL NAME!!!!! Makes me feel like an actual fucking author with merit, lol. And I'm falling onto my knees knowing you get that feeling, too, and you noticed it in the first place! 😩
Thank you so much for your support! 🥹❤️

I just read a fic where Tim gets a tattoo with Connor (Cute fic, called Don't You Worry Your Pretty Little Mind by timdrakewayne on AO3, go read it) and I'm getting my first tattoo soon (appointment already made, July 10th, can't wait), so now I'm making headcanons of what the batfam would get if they got tattoos, let's go!
All of the kids don't ask Bruce before they get their tattoos, but when he finds out he's like, "Whatever, don't let a villain see it."
⚠️⚠️!!!TW: Mention of self harm!!!⚠️⚠️
All Robin's- All of the Robin's (past and present, duh, Damian gets his when he's older) go in together and get their personal Robin symbols over the first scar they got while being Robin, it a little something that makes them feel good, and closer together
Bruce- I can't decide on just one for him, so he gets two. One is the outline of Gotham, maybe like across his back (read it in a fic once a long time ago, love the idea, it's very Bruce). Two is some sort of symbol or something that represents all his kids (even his unofficial kids, like Steph, Barbara, and Duke (remember that Duke is his foster kid) because he counts them as his) on his chest over his heart, it could be a little family tree with all of their enitials (idk if that's spelled right), it could be all of their super hero symbols (but those change so maybe not that), or literally anything, he adds to it everytime he gets a new kid (most nearly cry, or do cry, when they first see this)
Dick- I think Dick would get a tattoo to remind him of his parents or the circus, but also keep it small, so like maybe his parents names in a heart, the outline of like a circus tent, idk those are the greatest ideas, but something like that, it would either be on his wrists or on his chest over his heart
Jason- despite going through a huge rebellious thing, Jason doesn't get his tattoo until he's closer with the family again, I think it would be a quote from a book on his forearm, maybe something about family being there, or family not always being about blood, to both remind himself that he's not alone anymore, and that while his biological mom was a shitty person who sold him to the joker, the person he counts as his real mom loved him unconditionally despite her own flaws.
Tim- In the fanfic I read Tim gets a tattoo on his thigh of the Superboy symbol in the Robin colors. While I love that idea I'mma project onto Timmy boy here and personal headcanons so he also gets multiple tattoos (four to be exact). Tim is the tattoo addict of the family, so he has for and plans to get more, much to the surprise of everyone (most expected it to be Jason, maybe even Dick, but not Tim) . One, the same one I just described from the fic (loved it too much to leave it out). Two, a semi colon on his left wrist covering self harm scars (for those who may not know the semi colon is used when an author could have ended the sentence but continued it instead, when people get a semi colon tattooed on themselves it means that they could have/wanted/tried to end their lives, but continued living instead), the semi colon just plain black because just that alone sent a big message. Tattoo number three is a quote from "In Deeper Waters" on his right wrist (also covering self harm scars, not important but I headcanon Tim as ambidextrous like me) and it's "The world isn't kind, but it doesn't mean I can't be." Tim is someone who has been beat down by an unkind world over and over again, but still strives to be kind to others (and sees the same thing happen to those he loves). And last but not least is a matching tattoo he gets with Steph. He's planning on getting a matching tattoo with Bernard soon, but they're still planning on what it will be (they are willing to take ideas from the fam)
Damian- When he's older he either chooses to not get a tattoo or gets one of the Wayne family crest on his wrist to show his loyalty to the whole family. Not much to say about him with tattoos, sorry
Duke- He doesn't get a tattoo, idk why, I just feel like he's not all that interested in them, and if he does want one he's taking 100000 years to figure out what tattoo he wants because he knows this is a forever type thing and that is what's making it hard for him to decide (family tells him to take his time, he doesn't even have to get one, but if he decides to get one they'll gladly take him to get it)
Cass- She didn't want a big one, but she wanted it to be meaningful. She ended up getting a small pair of black ballet shoes tattooed on her ankle. Dancing is something that she loves dearly, and it is also something she drags her whole family to do with her a lot (it doesn't take much to convince them they all love dancing with her), so it represents something that she loves to do and feels at peace doing, and it represents times where she's bonded with her family and has come closer to them, she loves it
Steph- I mentioned a matching tattoo with Tim, she got it with him some point after their breakup for both of them to show each other that even though they broke up that their friendship will remain just as strong as before, lasting forever just like the tattoo. I think they got it on their forearms, but I can't decide what it is, maybe a quote, maybe one like Tim and Connor's where they get each others symbols in their respective colors, maybe something they both love, maybe something unique and only they will understand, maybe those cheesy best friend tattoos, you'll decide for me. That was her first tattoo, she has a second one on her thigh and it's a quote that Bruce himself said to her about her father not defining who she is in any way (Bruce cried when he found out about this one, though he tried to hide it)
Barbara- First she made a whole power point presentation, with Tim's help, for her dad to convince him to let her get a tattoo (she's an adult and can just get it without his permission, but she wanted his approval on it), which he finally said yes too, like Dick and Cass she wants to get something small but meaningful. She gets it on her collar bone, and it's a quote about being able to rely on those around to help you and make you stronger, something like that, honestly she's the hardest to decide for me
BONUS:
Selena Freaking Kyle: When she marries Bruce (they get married in my world, hush) she gets a tattoo similar to Bruce's with something to symbolize all the kids, tattooed on her ribs, because those are her Kittens and she would kill and die for them. They don't find out until they all have a beach day and she wears a swim suit top and they see it they all nearly cry. She also has other tattoos that I'm too lazy to specify now :)

honestly im just gonna give u a list. anyways. bruce, harvey, eddie (easy mode), oliver queen (whore), equius, sollux, eridan (legally mantaded homestucks), tim drake because im here to cause u psyhic damage, damien (bby), and lets round it off with scarecrow cause why not. pick n choose the ones u want to do anyways -blasts u with my autism beams-
Tumblr media
[I.D.: A man in bed, lifting his head off of the pillow with a confused, bleary look, squinting into the light being shined at him. /End I.D.]
jesus ok. this is obviously going to get really long so im sticking it all under a cut now
send me a character and i will tell you my...
Bruce
First impression
my first impression of bruce fucking wayne was actually probably when i was like four years old or something and watching btas so my batman, the batman that has always existed in my head, has been a man who genuinely cares about the people around him and believes everyone can get better. which is to say i probably got the best intro to batman you can get
Impression now
btas is still one of my favorite versions of batman there is but i also know now that there are many versions of batman depending on whos writing him and by god do some of those versions suck! but there are also nonbtas versions that are so great! like robin jason era batman. the most man of all time. or rob bat, or lego batman, or-
Favorite moment
btas bruce makes me fall to my knees and cry every goddamn time. his relationship w harley?? w harvey?? w freeze?? the way even joker trusts him to always be a good man and keep people safe, even when its him. every time bruce desperately reaches out to someone who is trying to hurt him, because he wants so badly to help them get better, know that i am sobbing.
Idea for a story
i dont really have bruce centric ideas because tbhhhh bruce has been so many different things over the years i just mold him to fit my needs for other stories. like i want to write bruharv fics or fics w eddie but harvey and eddie are what set the scene, not bruce, bc they have more firmly set personalities than him. late 80s bruce vs late 90s bruce are two completely different people, and btas bruce and rob bat bruce are like complete opposites to me in the way they wear the cowl. so yeah. the only time i might center something around bruce is if im writing a superbat story, bc i think clark is just as fluid at this point, but i dont really have as much interest in writing a superbat story!
Unpopular opinion
any opinion about batman is already tired, thats just the nature of batman. its too pervasive. someones already said anything i could say. but hey, people are ableist, so im sure this will be an unpopular one! bruce should have mobility aids. bane broke his back. you do not ever 100% come back from that. period, end of story, not arguing.
Favorite relationship
its gotta be bruharv. its gotta be. look obviously im a btas fan to my very bones and btas bruharv never stops breaking my goddamn heart. late 80s is just the same. i think ive said and written enough about them on this blog that no one needs to hear me say it again.
Favorite headcanon
bruce is autistic. you agree.
Harvey
First impression
first intro to harvey was during jasons robin era, so like, annual 14, #410 or whatever, you know what im talking about. hes just camp enough and he also gets frankly the most sympathy from the writers we really see him get outside of btas, imo. i was instantly sucked into the idea of this man who fought his way into the system because he wanted to change it, who believed in the law, but gradually became more and more disillusioned with it as he saw proof that a corrupt system would always be corrupt. morality, balance, and justice is the foundation harveys built his life on as an answer to the abuse he faced, and the way that all shatters for him is just. augh. add that to his beautifully complicated and desperate relationship with bruce and i just fell in love with him instantly
Impression now
hes like my favorite character outside of jason im fucking obsessed with him. i think im a little delusional about it but dc is so goddamn ableist with him i feel like i have to take some liberties, and he can be so INTERESTING if you just give him the room to be. also btas harvey is hot. im not taking any questions at this time.
Favorite moment
btas bruharv breaks! my! heart! that scene where bruce is desperately researching did and promises to a harvey that cant hear him that he will save him, somehow? i think about it every day. but also harvey had a lot of really good moments in tfz. i love to see a man in despair.
Idea for a story
ive had this idea in the back of my head since before i even started working on the jdau where harvey and 2f are trying to become better, sort of, or at least commit crimes in a way that they can feel better about. turning their attention back to mob bosses ala dark victory eventually drives them to team up with jason, who is post utrh and no contact with bruce and the batfamily, who harvey has no idea is even the same punk robin that once insulted his car. jason finds a father figure in harvey while harvey finds a new path to redemption (or antihero bullshit) through jason, and they both help each other sort out their messy ties to bruce. i dont know if ill ever get around to writing it- definitely not until ive gotten the jdau more or less out of my system- but i think about it sometimes.
Unpopular opinion
all of you fuckers need to go look up shit about did rn forreal im not joking. if you think 2f is an evil alter you are buying wholesale into the ableist shit dc is feeding you and its a problem. if you are going to write harvey and 2f, you need to accept that they both kill, that they both do crimes, that 2f is not the sole thing holding harvey back from “going good” again. find a different way to differentiate them. i see this in every goddamn corner of the fandom and it floors me how many of you are comfortable with perpetuating dcs ableism so long as its a “bad” disability like did.
Favorite relationship
its obviously bruharvey. (waves at my. entire blog really.) but i also really enjoy harvey and jason teamups, if that wasnt obvious. tfz changed my brain chemistry but i was like this even before that. i think they could find a lot of common ground in each other if i just ignore the part where 2f killed jasons dad lol
Favorite headcanon
i was just ranting about this the other day but i think the difference between harvey and 2f is that harvey tries very hard to repress things as the apparently normal part and wants very badly to believe in the legal system and that he could be a good person (pre acid, we see him kind of give up on that after the acid) whereas 2f embraces his anger and passion and has significantly less hope in the system and feels that he is inherently a bad person due to extremely low self esteem, because, yknow, hes the emotional part, hes the trauma holder. theyre both angry, they both commit crimes, harvey just has issues around letting himself experience negative emotions. this is pretty much the foundation for everything else i write because its how i work around the evil alter bullshit. they are both complicated (even more so than i can put concisely like this), it cannot just be 2f is bad and the source of all evil.
Edward
First impression
the first comic i ever read w eddie having any sort of significant part was hush and the joy of seeing that mystery come together and having eddie be the mastermind behind it all, as a huge mystery fan, was like nothing else. eddie was clever, irritating, and smug as all hell, with the goofiest goddamn schtick, and i just fell in love with him. the more i got to know him after that the more i loved him.
Impression now
eddie is one of the most camp rogues in the whole gallery. hes pathetic, whiny, attention-seeking, and hes also clever, annoying, and smug. i like that hes so often harmless but also has these little moments where he really does get batman on the ropes with just his brain. hes a little mastermind and i love that. hes a little creacher. hes hilarious. he has so much potential. he drives me crazy. im listening to batman unburied rn and hes so obnoxious i want to chew off my own leg. he remains one of my favorite batman characters of all time
Favorite moment
god theres this one origin story where hes reencounting his life and hes literally like rolling around on the floor whining about how lonely he is and how much he craves attention and its like. peak fucking eddie. hes so fucking annoying i love him i want to bully him
Idea for a story
ive already said im a mystery fan. when i was a kid, i read every single detective novel i could get my hands on, and its such a wonderful moment for me when batman can scratch that little itch in my brain. ive been rereading some of those old books lately and i really want to write a rddlebat fic in that style where bruce is a detective (but in a busybody way, and not in a police way), and riddler is the moriarty to his sherlock that keeps him running in circles. i can see the setting so clearly in my mind. ive just never written a mystery before and im struggling to think of one compelling and in character enough to drive the plot.
Unpopular opinion
i have learned that riddler fans deeply, deeply hate hush. the vitriol people have is incredible. its still one of my favorite riddler comics of all time, though, and i wonder if its because its written like a mystery instead of an action adventure. it leaves you with all of the clues, it builds, and in the end, the whole thing unfolds beautifully. its one of the best comics in terms of ones that show off what eddie can do and the extent of his intellect. its one of like four comics ive ever bought because i just adore it and apparently that is a VERY unpopular opinion lmfao
Favorite relationship
obviously rddlebat. obviously. i like them best when they have a sherlock and moriarty dynamic and are constantly challenging each other, pissing each other off, kiiind of flirting. theyre peak homoerotic rivalry to me. i dont like, mind stuff where theyre all cutesy and whatever, but its never been how ive seen them because im a homestuck and i know kismessitude is the way
Favorite headcanon
liam wrote a fic where eddie uses that cane because he actually needs it and he was so fucking right for that. i am 100% integrating that into my belief system
Oliver
First impression
sdkflsdjnfsdsdflsdf i HATE to admit this. but my first impression of oliver was in that comic where jason kidnaps mia and bruce snaps at ollie for his treatment of roy, and my second impression of him was rhato. so. needless to say, my first impression of ollie was Not Good. i thought he was just. the worst fucking dad ever, and a total piece of shit
Impression now
hes a communist king and he can GET IT. i have read way more green arrow comics since my first impression of him and i love him dearly. oliver fucks up again and again but he actually tries to do better. he learns and he grows and maybe he hasnt always been the best dad but hes doing pretty damn good now. he cares about and invests in his community on the local level and he puts his goddamn money where his mouth is every time. hes what a lot of people want bruce to be, tbh. i actually fucking adore oliver queen and i really want to read more green arrow comics
Favorite moment
green arrow/green lantern is such a fantastic goddamn run and i rotate it in my mind every day, specifically the part where they seem a skirmish between people and the police and hal immediately jumps in to help the police, but oliver stops him and starts breaking down the issues with that. like. fuck. do you know how fucking refreshing it is to see that in a comic. also when roy and oliver shoot cat man and then accuse the other one of missing i think about that all the time
Idea for a story
one day i am going to go as batshit about green lantern as i do about batman right now. that day hasnt come yet. but it will. and then there will be ideas.
Unpopular opinion
iii already said it tbh lmfao. green arrow is what people want batman to be. the family dynamics are way better and ollie invests in his community and tries to get better the way people want to believe bruce does (and lets be honest, how often does dc actually let bruce be the batman we know he can be and has been on occasion?)
Favorite relationship
ill be the first to admit im really fucking biased after reading ga/gl but ollie/hal/dinah. because yeah. what was all that.
Favorite headcanon
i think about grandpa ollie all the time. aaaaall the time. i think about him investing all the time in lian he never did in roy and i think about the apology written into it that he probably does say outloud, because hes not goddamn batman and he tries.
Tim (i hate you i hate you i hate you i hate you)
First impression
the first tim comics i ever read were. the first tim comics ever. he was in full hero worship mode and his hair looked dumb as hell and he was a cute kid. his audacity was fucking stunning, but i was willing to forgive him for it
Impression now
wheres that fucking tumblr post thats like peoples reactions to shows before and after a plottwist where someones like “why does everybody hate this guy” and then “I Know Now.” thats how i feel about tim. the audacity did not ever stop. he carries it with him forever. he is sexist as fuck and the way he treats stephanie makes my blood boil, and he is one of the number one offenders in terms of rewriting the narrative around jason. a lot of this is the fault of the writers and not him (PARTICULARLY THE WAY BRUCE TREATS HIM COMPARED TO OTHERS AND THE SHIT HE GETS AWAY WITH), but the whole thing leaves such a bad taste in my mouth i just cant stomach tim anymore. add that to how goddamn annoying tim fans are and how confidently they mischaracterize tim and every other fucking character? i can easily say tim is my least favorite member of the batfam.
Favorite moment
i think about this dumbass panel every goddamn day.
Tumblr media
[I.D.: A comic panel of Tim Drake where he is standing outside, partially shaded by a tree. He is wearing an oversized red sweater that says “zoo of wires” in all caps and yellow pants. He’s squinting strangely and there’s a scuff mark on his cheek. His hair is the older style of Tim hair that stands completely on end and makes him look like a clown. Overall, it’s a pretty awful picture of Tim. /End I.D.]
but genuinely any moment between tim and kon or the rest of the young justice team, i think, are his best moments.
Idea for a story
any time i feel like tim could have room in a story im writing i am simply going to replace him with duke <3
Unpopular opinion
everything ive said so far has been an unpopular opinion and im not convinced i wont be drawn and quartered for posting this. but frankly if you made it this far into this post im kind of assuming youre a friend of mine who already knows i dont like tim bc this is really long. anyway heres another one <3 tims parents were never abusive you guys just dont want to admit tim is only interesting if you give him jason or stephs backstory
Favorite relationship
its gotta be tim and kon. gotta be. they are cute. i get it. the way tim just lights up in his robin run (or was it red robin?) when kon comes to visit is. yeah.
Favorite headcanon
i love it when tim quits being robin or is never robin at all. i am a hater.
Damian
First impression
i think the first damian comic i ever read was bftc and batman and robin 2009 and the MOMENT i saw his little face. his little cheeks. oh my god. hes SO. BABY. and hes a slightly MURDEROUS baby??? even better. i saw damian and i knew he was gonna be one of my faves he was just too precious, too perfect
Impression now
hes the babiest boy of all time and i love him more than i can even put into words. i adore him. i need to read more of his comics but i have read Enough to know that i love him. i want to pick him up and swing him around like a cat. bolito de odio mi queridooooo <3333
Favorite moment
i hold the fact that he named the cat alfred very close to my heart. also when he whooped tim and jasons asses but dick stopped him and validated him before he could (crying)
Idea for a story
eventually i wanna write more stuff w him in the jdau but i dont have it all set in stone just yet
Unpopular opinion
everyone hates aro hcs but youll pry aro dami out of my cold dead hands
Favorite relationship
dick and dami (PLATONIC. OBVIOUSLY!!) is such a basic answer but it is my true answer. im not joking when i say it literally makes me cry. i just!!!! have a LOT OF FEELINGS ABOUT IT. im not going to get into it all but augh. jon and dami is probably second tho their friendship is so fun and ill never forgive dc for what they did to it. also prefer them platonic
Favorite headcanon
i cant even call damian being autistic a headcanon. its just real.
Jon
First impression
jesus christ. sdlkfjnsdfsf scarecrow is a cool tool to make things happen in comics he makes for a very good villain but i have never been very impressed by his actual personality i find him very very very creepy and i do not trust him around children i think hes a little freak
Impression now
exactly the same. i dont get how big into him some people get and moth i think you are fully delusional
Favorite moment
this is the one exception alright. as the crow flies is my favorite scarecrow comic of all time its really intriguing and he is very creacher. the power dynamic is really such that you have to pity jon, he loses so much control over the situation and he doesnt even understand whats happened to him, and the one person he confides in betrays him. the scarebeast itself is, i think, one of the best batman monsters if not The best batman monster the design is so goddamn cool and jons design, too, is just absolutely great in this comic. its such a goddamn good comic i love it
Idea for a story
lmao im never gonna write a story about this bitch
Unpopular opinion
i dont like him. thats my unpopular opinion. and i dont get “the dork squad”
Favorite relationship
again, the dynamics in as the crow flies were really interesting. otherwise idgas
Favorite headcanon
if i ever wasted the brainspace to think about scarecrow hcs they would be exclusively in reference to scarebeast. but i dont.
aughughugh homestuck time
Equius
First impression
haha gross! this guy is fucking weird
Impression now
funniest fucker there is. nothing about equius isnt hilarious. i love him. hes the definition of beta cuck and thats hysterical. hes weird and gross and kind of creepy and also slightly charming in a bizarre way and i love him
Favorite moment
i dont know now its been a while since i went through his pesterlogs but he does have some prettyf ucking funny lines. in general tho nothing can top arquius. hilarious
Idea for a story
ill probably write another h@lquius fic one day. hold me accountable was some of the most fun ive ever had writing a fic
Unpopular opinion
that i like him at all tbh lmao
Favorite relationship
OBVIOUSLY its equius and hal. obviously. they bounce off of each other in the worst possible ways theyre so gross and funny. arquius is one of the funniest things to ever come out of homestuck. dirk and equius is probably right after that.
Favorite headcanon
i like my space au a lot idk
Sollux
First impression
i thought sollux was the best goddamn thing since vriska. he was snarky in a way that vibed just right with me, his humor cutting and self deprecating and just perfect. i loved his relationship w aradia, i thought they were so sweet, and he also just reminded me a lot of dave who was my favorite character period. he and karkat were also really funny. i think i also just related to him a lot, at the time
Impression now
sollux is a lot of fun as a character because hes so dry and flippant about everything. hes a genuine true neutral character who most of the time cant find it in himself to give a shit about anything, and you have to admire that. hes laid back, except for when hes not, and his interpersonal relationships are generally snarky and ribbing with an undercurrent of very genuine care and affection. he was one of my favorite trolls for a very long time and i love him a lot.
Favorite moment
when hes just lost his lisp and is kind of obsessing over it is a pretty good one. but his conversations with karkat in the very beginning are also pretty good. everythign between him and aradia too. idk, its been a while.
Idea for a story
some day im probably gonna end up writing an ersol story, but from time to time i also think about writing that pale davsol fic for the guardians au ive had in the back of my mind forever
Unpopular opinion
feferi did not treat sollux especially well and did not respect his boundaries at all. their relationship sucked
Favorite relationship
rn its probably post sprite eridan and sollux, but ive always had a soft spot for some kind of friendship between dave and sollux, and sollux and aradia is a classic for a reason
Favorite headcanon
bigender sollux ftw. see also: sex neutral asexual sollux
Eridan
First impression
he is so whiny and obnoxious but also so brilliantly crafted and he has so much depth to him for a character that stops mattering like ten pages in time to latch onto him and never be normal about it again
Impression now
and then i wasnt! i dont think much has changed about my opinion on eridan at all actually
Favorite moment
his conversations with karkat oh my goddd theyre such gossips. also im sorry but youve gotta love his stupid little anxious talksprite hes such a prick. AUGH. AND THE DRESSES IN PESTERQUEST HANG ON
Idea for a story
see the above ersol musings but also and more importantly im going to write another erdave story. i dont know what its gonna be about but im sure in a few months eri will break down my door and say something to me about them and within a week ill have churned out another goddamn fic
Unpopular opinion
this has always been an unpopular opinion but if you think eridan deserved better but you think vriska is an irredeemable piece of shit you are in fact sexist <3
Favorite relationship
its very obviously eridan and dave. obviously. ive been writing this shit out for so long im tired now and im nto going to get into all of it but just know that i know everything about them and i know exactly why they work and im right about it. but i also believe very strongly in eridan and karkat and their whole relationship with karkat being like. honestly the only person who continued to believe in eridan and cared about him when he was really going off the deep end and their friendship actually being very genuine and sweet and the like potential there. but ALSO. vriska and eridan is one of the best friendships in the messiest way they were actually like the best and strongest kismessitude in homestuck and ill never let anyone forget it i LOVE them i love them being exes that know too much about each other and use it for evil even tho theyve stayed friends after all this time
Favorite headcanon
eridan being genderfluid is BASICALLY canon so i wont even call that a headcanon bc its just true. i feel very strongly about eridan having a very unhealthy relationship to sex and relationships where he ties his worth to them regardless of whether or not he actually wants them. he IS ace and he is DEEPLY repressed about it, thanks

Batfam relationship headcanons my edition
these are written for how each character would perceive their relationship with others, so character A may have a slightly different take on B’s relationship with them than B does on A’s relationship with them
This is also only for my 4 faves + steph maybe i’ll add on more later
Damian’s perspective:
Dick: big brother, can do no wrong
bruce: I love you but damn, if you breathe again its on sight
babs: she shouldn't give me so many orders over comms... who tf does she think she is... (should be noted when i talk about babs its always oracle babs)
tim: loser who dick hangs out with for some reason (also if they ever wind up playing video games together when they each decided it was time to hang out with dick they are super competitive about it due to both suffering from gamer disease)
jason: loser who can't pass 'are you smarter than a fifth grader'
steph: begrudging friendship
cass: a bit too awkward to be THAT close because of their each insane projection issues, but when they hang out its just... understanding vibes and frequently nonverbal
duke: begrudging hanging out/chilling friendship
Barbara’s perspective:
helena: you are projection shaped and thus my enemy. self recognition thru the other (derogatory) (she gets better tho)
bruce: I respect u but do not want to deal w/ ur shit
dick: Friend shaped (works both for dickbabs and platonic). just vibing, pretty competent, independent, work together well
tim: positive associations, protective of him
steph: did not have the same drama the prev batfam members did (bruce tim cass) with her, so she didn't actively exclude her, but also is kind of overprotective/worried at first. they do not think on the same brainwave
cass: baby  (cass hates that!). she wants to help cass but sometimes steamrolls over her and does not respect cass as a person appropriately, but the two of them do grow as cass moves out from being "mentee" to more independent and babs has to articulate what cass means to her and she can articulate her respect for cass. she definitely is protective of cass from bruce, who she is worried about being mean to her (cass)
damian: ???? I simply have bad people skills and he is hard to get along with, why couldn't he be like cass and already be 17 when we met then hed be easier to interact with
Dick’s perspective
bruce: I love u... from afar. u gave me a place ot live u forged a lot of my childhood and how i view myself.... plz don't make me come over until the holidays.... (he also is kind of protective of damian with bruce and if bruce messes up dick is like "smh i never wouldve done that")
tim: little brother. we just vibe. the clown gallery. i will always be there to protect u
damian: little brother 2.0. understanding when he (damian) is hard to understand. respectful of boundaries and very undersatnding he tries to act like he would've wnated bruce to act when he is batman to damians robin
babs: same relationship she has with him. they are chill and competent and can work togehter whether dickbabs or platonically
jason: incredible feelings of guilt over his death + anger at him for trying to kill his 2 younger brothers. I actually think dick would be anti integrating jason into the batfam if it got brought up (even if you discount btfc for jasons character, jason has attacked tim enough i don’t think you can really pretend him attacking tim is OOC)
cass: competent work buddies.
steph: is hard on her at first because the others were, didn't interact enough with her to realize it was for little reason until his time as batman. feels moderately bad about it
Cass’s perspective
bruce: you are simultaneously an unreachable ideal and someone i can beat up... sometimes u make me feel bad... very source of inspiration... later on he gets more human and less unreachable ideal but she still loves and respects him very much
babs: canonically refers to her as likea mother. she feels more stifled by babs's expecations because babs thinks cass will be happier more 'normal' and cass doesn't want to live a normal life... i think after cass goes away for a bit and comesback she and babs have a more equal, less babs feeling like she has to be in charge, relationship and cass appreciates that much better.
damian: projection shaped. that post basically where it was like "he needs to know hes not a bad person for killing people as a kid but i am a bad person for killing someone when i was a kid. these facts can coexist " she does like that he will hang out nonverbal with her sometimes tho
tim: friend but nothing super serious we can hang out and talk but no need to seek him out all the time.
steph: friend but also she does not really respect steph as an equal, creating friction (I imagine this is resolved later on). she simultaneously likes hanging out with her and her connection to peer experiences while thinking she has to protect steph
jean paul: projection shaped buddy. they relate on so much but dc is COWARDS and never let them interact post NML
duke: i hear they are friends in outsiders but sadly have not read outsiders yet
dick: dude who hangs out with babs occassionally
Steph’s perspective
Bruce: she used to idolize him a lot but now shes like oh :/ hes just some guy :/ and he was kind of a jerk. she does still work with him well and care about him but the memories are tainted
tim: she used to look up to him a lot but the conflict they had makes it harder... when he genuinely apologizes (IIRC in red robin) they move forward and she doesn't look up to him anymore, they're just peers and can be on equal footing. they still care about each other a lot
cass: she used to look up to her a lot (sensing a theme here XD) and still does. she likes hanging out with casss but sometimes she gets frustrated with her, and they did have some friction after steph left and articulated the parts where their relationship was unequal. i also am toying around with the idea of cass being a more active mentor for her in 2009 batgirl era stuff
damian:  "he's baby shaped!" (Damian HATES that). she has a good rapport with damian  because shes understanding and she sometimes does chiller, more kid-friendly things with damian that he cant even admit he would like to do.
babs: she thinks its fun to antagonize babs sometimes, but they are genuinely friends and she appreciates babs mentorship. but also babs needs to let her mess with her sometimes lighten up jeez

Oh! Oh! I have an idea! Okay so some of the first things to go when Secret started sucking people into her death hole was the D.E.O. and A.P.E.S. groups- which were two government groups that had held and handled her (neither treated her well obviously.) D.E.O. stands for Department of Extranormal Operations, and is described as if the guy from x-files got a government branch to use for his theories. Saw a crossover fic put the G.I.W. down as a subset of this branch. A.P.E.S. stands for All-Purpose Enforcement Squad and was less evil, but definitely an antagonistic group at times. Okay so here's my pitch: timeline wise, the Fenton parents would probably already be scientists around this time (assuming we're setting Danny Phantom in current day DC canon). Though it is hard to say. Comics are vague about ages at the best times, but I'd put Tim's age around this era at maybe 14-15? Current day he's supposedly 17-maybe 18, despite being only two years younger than Jason, who we've seen in bars and is thus at least 21. You don't need me to tell you the math don't add up. Anyway I'd say Danny could be anywhere in the ballpark of maybe 7-12 depending on how it shakes out just comparing him and Tim's current canon ages and where Tim's age probably should be when compared to his brothers' (which on the lower end actually would technically put him in the age range for the Hugga Tugga Thuggies thing! Assuming he ages slowly out of kid's cartoons anyway. lmao imagine Danny getting mind controlled to murder his parents as a baby) So Anyway it's totally possible for Maddie and Jack to have ended up on Secret's hitlist either through their anti-ghost research or maybe a past internship in the D.E.O. AU where baby Danny and Jazz watched their parents get murdered by the Justice League's ghost they swore wasn't evil (and that their parents swore was). Like everyone she swallowed was spat up when Robin convinced her to surrender but man the ptsd wouldnt be so easily reversed. Can you imagine the repercussions that domino would have on the Danny Phantom timeline? Woah.
DAmn, yeah that would fuck with them so bad. Amg.. Danny be so crushed.. so much more when he finds out he's a ghost.. or any part of one. Just makes me think he would try to run away actually out of fear. Scared.. but ends up being brought home.. Danny lying as to why he ran away. Trying to go into denial stage.. but makes him even more like oh this is what my powers for when ghosts start coming out of the portal. Even more traumatize if/when Dan event happens because Danny has to acknowledge he IS that powerful and could be THAT evil. But also accepts himself... and stay true to his beliefs.. no matter how hard things are. Ooo can see it getting out eventually to the YJ and JL like leaked from the GIW systems that there is a ghost hero that arose in Amity. Or maybe Tim finds it on like internet/tiktok just late night surfing the web then sees phantom. Anyway that be cool addition to dp x dc lore. Can see his friends not adjusting well either, but they see Danny still being danny first. Before Danny can recognize it himself. Jazz understanding as usual when finding out. Danny even more wary of the justice league. Because in his head if he ends up following same line of events it could possibly end the same.. so its best he stays low. :T Because he doesn't know what personally happen but safe bet to avoid other heroes. LOL So this misunderstanding of events. XD
