Dare I ask: what is Morrison's opinion on Babs and Kory?

I've never been able to decide which part of this answer is the funniest (worst):

the concept that Dick is "happy-go-lucky" (much less to the point where "dealing with" a woman with baggage is a problem) and doesn't come with a metric shit ton of issues himself

Reducing Dick's relationships with either woman to how much "baggage" he has to deal with, as if that's a valid yardstick to judge how healthy, sustainable, or likable either of those relationships are

Kory being objectified and reduced to a "sexy model" and yet is simultaneously someone who has "way too many issues" to be a good romantic partner. This is an especially egregious comment considering she was a better partner to Dick than Dick was to her at multiple points during their relationship because of his issues.

the very idea that Barbara Gordon doesn't have trauma, baggage, and personal neuroses that rival Bruce Wayne himself (or that said trauma would be something that deters Dick from a relationship). Grant Morrison has never picked up a post-1980s Barbara comic in their life and it shows

Yesterday I got some herbs to do a ritual in the bath. A cleansing if you will.. something I desperately need. I am harboring a lot of negative energy in my heart over the death of my significant other.. and many others I’ve lost this past year due to substance abuse. Today, I am almost 40 days sober. but they were not so lucky. I remain heartbroken and weighed down.

If anyone else has any other suggestions for on what type of rituals or such I should do to wash this energy away I am open.

Fucking Clowns - Ending

Jason, dick, and Tim settled into their new routine over the next few months. Setting aside old, and not so old, gripes and grudges for the sake of this kid that none of them really knew. They'd all expected it to go to hell one way or another, but they were nothing if not stubborn and doggedly dedicated. They had each decided for their own reasons that taking in this kid and making him safe was what they were going to do. And together they were making it work.

Tim had told everyone he would be out of town for work or for a mission and was enjoying the relative down time working remotely from his hill top house in the woods. He wasn't sure when his parents had acquired the property, he certainly had never holidayed here with them, but it had been easy enough to get the place set up for the four boys.

Dick had mentioned at the right time here and there that him and Jason were working to repair things and would be spending some time catching up at a holiday house. After some interrogation questioning he was pretty sure the cover story was solid enough that no one would bother them. B knew they'd be out in the woods and they'd be together, and that both of them would come and go from Gotham and bludhaven so it wouldn't seem from the outside like anything was other than what they said, and there'd be no reason for anyone to check on them at the holiday house they were sharing.

The other birds and bats and even Oracle had pitched in to make the cover story more solid. Some of them would check in on the boys occasionally and would give a sanitized report when B would inevitably asks. Making it less likely B would feel the need to check himself.

They'd known what to expect when they took Danny, Tim had been very thorough checking the kids status in the aftermath of The Joker incident and the lead up to their rescue. They knew he had been unresponsive during that time, and fully expected it to be a Long recovery even with the kids Meta powers keeping him stable. They'd set up a false room in one of the lounge areas, so Danny would have some privacy but not be isolated from the rest of them. Tim had combed through all the recordings and notes he could to try and figure out anything Danny might like and had decided setting up his bed near a big window with a good view would be best. He thought Danny might like the sky, or the stars. Either way if he came too he'd be able to see them.

They all got into the habit of keeping the boy company, trying to find the line between giving space and crowding. Tim made a second coffee each time, one for him, one for Danny. Dick would chat about his day and the latest gossip, as ever perfectly capable of keeping up an active conversation on his own. Jason would read aloud his favourite books while Tim and Dick pretended not to listen. Jason suspected they both liked having someone to read stories to them, but that neither would ask for it themselves, it'd probably been a long time since either of them had someone in their life that did that for them.

It gave the brothers the opportunity to see each other wound down in a calm and welcome environment, and though only Dick would admit it, it was actually really nice to be in each other's company.

Time passed comfortably and Tim made notes about Danny's recovery, how he'd never needed fluids or food, seemingly kept going by some other force, an affect of being meta they assumed. After a few weeks he started noticing Danny stirring for a few seconds and he tried to note down anything environmental that could be encouraging him to consciousness.

From what he could tell Danny was closest to awake when at least two of three things were present: a strong smell like a fresh coffee or something cooking, the stars visible through his window, or at least one of Dick or Jason talking near by.

With that information they were able to purposely create wakeful conditions more often and soon enough the kid had opened his eyes and eventually started to say a few words.

It was a relief to them all when Danny didn't panic upon coming too enough to understand his environment. It was a thought that had been weighing on all of them that maybe the kid wouldn't feel any safer with them than he had at Arkham. But as the weeks passed and Danny started staying awake and chatting with them that worry passed.

Danny didn't have the energy to do much at all, and he had to lay down and sleep after even just an hour of light activity. But he enjoyed the company of the three boys he found himself with, and was grateful to be out of Arkham, that there were no more fucking Clowns to worry about, and that there didn't seem to be any ghosts clamoring for his attention. He knew there were people and things he was forgetting, that his tired mind couldn't quite bring to the surface. But he felt that was fine, for now he was safe, and his new friends had promised to keep him that way. He was grateful, and tired, and safe. And for what seemed like the first time in his life he let that just be enough.

For now, he would just rest and enjoy the company of his friends.

Barbara had been chatting with Pharaoh for almost as long as she had been Oracle. He was another hacker, one who she had struck up a friendship with and genuinely cared about. He told corny jokes and complained about how pushy his vegetarian friend was, but despite him being a hacker, he was her closest non vigilante friend.

So, two days before the tenth anniversary of her becoming paralyzed, she gathered her courage and sent an email about what happened. (She might have unloaded more of her emotions than she thought, but she was kind of emotional.)

She didn’t hear anything back, and it put her on edge. Pharaoh always responded within 36 hours of any email, but he didn’t respond to this one. (A part of her wondered if she had gotten too real, said too much, if she had done something to alienate her best friend.

The morning of the anniversary, she woke to chaos and jubilation in the streets. She opened her phone to hundreds of notifications. However, the news headline caught her eye first.

Joker found in full body Paralysis! Doctors say there is no chance of recovery!

Barbara blinked, and then a notification from Pharaoh caught her eye.

The Clown is never gonna walk again. He’s not dead, but he won’t be able to move anything below the neck ever again.

Thesis statement A: Making a spreadsheet to sort out his feelings about Kon is one of the best ideas Tim has ever had. Arguments in favor? It’s foolproof. A good spreadsheet has never let him down in life yet! What better way is there to categorize and analyze his feelings on various incidents in an at least somewhat objective matter? Arguments against? What is he possibly gonna accomplish with a spreadsheet, in the realm of romance? Thesis statement B: A second spreadsheet would probably help. Arguments in favor? A second spreadsheet would DEFINITELY help. Arguments against? Yeah, that seems like sound logic. Two spreadsheets are always better than one, right?

Tim is not having the best day.

It’s not, like, the worst day he’s ever had—not even close, given that, y’know, no one’s dying and he’s not in grievous amounts of pain or anything—but it could be a lot better.

Why? Well, for one, everyone keeps saying he should stay home and not go on patrol “just in case”, because he’s “still in the recovery period” for a minor concussion (emphasis on minor! It wasn’t even a big deal!), even though he feels fine!

And Oracle even threatened him about it, which is super rude of her because she works through discomfort all the time. But because she’s a hypocrite, she was just like, Timothy, if I see you out there on any rooftops, and I will see you… just know you’ll regret it, and frankly, the vagueness is way scarier than any concrete threat. What if, like, she made up a fake PornHub search history and sent it to Bart like “here’s what Tim’s into” or something? Tim would never know peace again.

And to make matters worse, not only is he stuck sitting around at home, but also Kon is late.

He was supposed to be back on Earth yesterday, and he isn’t. What’s Tim supposed to do, watch Star Trek without a running commentary at his side? Yeah, right. “The Conscience of the King” blathers along on his TV, but he can barely pay attention. It just doesn’t sound right without Kon rambling about the significance of the Shakesperean passages chosen or whatever. Tim folds his arms across his chest, slouches on the sofa, and glares at the TV.

Kon’s been gone for nearly three weeks. Tim misses him. Ugh.

Hi so! Here's a bit of setup for my Cursed Gotham Story... Actually good father Bruce Wayne cause I say so.

So everything is normal for Bruce's backstory, has a happy childhood blah, blah, blah, until his parents are murdered. Travels the world young and becomes Batman once back from his travels, being trained by the league of assassins and Ra's Al Ghul. He becomes the vigilante at 16, developing a non-lethal style of fighting over the next 2 years before he goes to the circus. Dick's family is murder, Bruce at 18 adopts Dick who's 7. I like the idea that Bruce is still a little new to the vigilante stuff, like he's only recently given the mantle of Batman and befriended Commissioner Gordon.

Dick is definitely still murder vengeance Robin to start, like Dick is the most feral Robin and I will always stand by that. Kid is a menace to the goons of Gotham and is absolutely horrifying, more so than Batman himself. Like maniacal laughter while bouncing around performing amazing feats of acrobatics. Nothing to flashy but the kid has a lot of energy. Bruce forms the Justice League and keeps up play-boy himbo Brucie Wayne. Also I think Bruce homeschooled for a bit until Dick was like in his early tweens then Bruce realizing Dick has no friends and has him forms the Teen Titans.

So those two stumbled around as Batman and Robin for like 8 years, Dick's 15 and Bruce is 27 when Bruce adopts Jason who's 9. Dick and Bruce have a discussion about Dick passing on the mantle of Robin and him becoming his own vigilante. Grayson gets some time to decide and Bruce even tells him he doesn't have to give up the mantle or even keep being a vigilante. They compromise and come up with the Red Robin mantle while Dick decides on his path.

Jason is killed by Joker when he's 14, Bruce(32) nearly kills Joker but Superman stops him. This is part of the reason Gothamintes dislike Supes cause wtf do you mean you're stopping him??? Anyways Dick(20) stops vigilanting to grieve his little brother and asks Bruce to stop as well. Bruce continues being Batman not stopping for a moment. Bruce has a 'public' closed casket funeral for Jason after a few months of Robin's death, claiming he's been killed by illness hence the not showing for events as the Wayne's. Gotham is grieving cause they've lost Robin to the Joker and Jason Todd - Wayne to illness.

Timothy Drake at 7 (Tim is smart it's well established) finds Dick Grayson and begs him to stop Batman or help him because he's nearly killing people. Dick is dismissive so Tim goes to Bruce himself and tries to convince him after months of murderous Batman. Bruce gives Tim the mantle of Robin and still doesn't properly address his grief. Dick with the help of Tim and Alfred convince Bruce to stop for a bit. They all agree to the conditions that they'll step in and help Gotham in his absences as Batman. Barbara Gordon(20) becomes Batgirl to help Dick as Batman and Tim is still Robin.

Bruce leaves to travel, meets Talia outside of the LoA by chance, they have a small relationship then an argument causing them to break up. Bruce is back in Gotham after a few (5-6) months of travel. Dick becomes Nightwing after handing the mantle of Batman back over to Bruce. Tim is kidnapped at 9 and turned into Joker Junior, Bruce officially adopts Tim after the Drake's give up rights not wanting to deal with Tim's recovery. Barbara is paralyzed by The Joker and Jim Gordon learns about the Wayne's. Superman yet again stops Batman and Nightwing from offing Joker, Harley Quinn willingly goes through rehabilitation at Arkham after what happened to Tim.

Barbara at 22 becomes Oracle, Selena Kyle and Bruce Wayne start their relationship. Tim takes up the mantle of Robin at 13 after a lot of recovery. Stephanie Brown is Robin during Tim's recovery. Cassandra Cane(14) becomes Black Bat when Stephanie Brown(12) becomes Batgirl after Tim becomes Robin again. Duke Thomas (13) becomes the Signal (Daytime Bat!)

Damien at 8 appears at Bruce Wayne's (40) with Talia is carrying a freshly revived Jason(22) whom she stumbled across while coming to Bruce for help. Talia explains to Bruce her father's plans to possess Damien's body. She also explains how a few months before she took her planned leave Jason kinda stubbled into the picture. Talia was nursing him back to health before Ra's just dumped him into the Lazarus pit. Now he needs to be cared for and Talia is in too much danger to help him.

Bruce takes in both boys, Damien and Jason are out for a few months as they both recover. Tim(15) is asked if he'd like to become Red Robin, while Damien becomes Robin. Tim agrees and goes on patrol with the rest of the bat family around Gotham. Jason is still recovering but helps Barbra with being the Oracle.

SO! This is my rough background for the Batfam for my Cursed Gotham story! Jason's story is the one that changed the most but there's a reason for that... I'm excited for this!
