So I asked @kimium how she would rank the NRC Housewardens on a scale from "least like a parent" to "absolutely 100% parent/dad" (see her response here) and she prompted me to share my own rankings. Well, here they are!!
Riddle - Riddle tries his best, he really does, but I think he's too caught up in The Rules to truly be a parental figure. He would be just too strict and not really understand how to balance rules with having fun and being supportive. If anything, he would be "Scary Parent Who Needs a Chill Pill" because of how strict he is.
Leona - I agree that Leona is more likely "Lazy/Relaxed Uncle", and that he would find most kids annoying/tiresome. But he will step in if he has to...especially if those kids scream outside his nap area for an extended period of time.
Azul - Azul starts showing kids how to get away with tax evasion. Azul is no longer allowed near the "children" (Ace, Deuce, Epel, Grim, and Jack). Riddle found Azul with a self-published "children's" book titled Working Within Capitalism: How to Swindle Your Neighbour Without Going to Jail, and he made a rule on the spot dictating Azul "must be supervised when around easily influenced people".
Kalim - Again, I agree that Kalim is "Least Like a Parent". He just has too much fun goofing off with people that he would never be able to be the one to reign them in if things went too far. While he is caring and would try very hard to make sure no one is left out or hurt, he would also definitely think a bag of candy is a fine substitute for a meal because it still gives energy.
Vil - Vil is 100% a Parent. I agree. I think he has a good sense of responsibility and is really skilled in reading the room. He would be able to tell if someone was upset even if they don't say it, and he knows that different methods work for different people. I feel like he would be very understanding and comforting to people, especially when he knows they are working hard.
Idia - Idia is "Needs Supervision at All Times". Literally. If left to his own devices he will game nonstop for days. DAYS. DAAAAYYYYYYSSSSSSSSSSSS. When Ortho is away, the other Housewardens need to babysit him, honestly. My precious boy is so bad at self-care...can't even take care of himself, he's not ready to parent anyone.
Ortho only manages to get him to take care of himself because Idia wants to be a good big brother. Honestly, if it weren't for Ortho, Idia would be in some serious trouble.
Malleus - I love the idea of Malleus as older sibling...but I love even more the idea of Malleus "what the fuck do I do with a child" Draconia. He's a bit out of touch with human society, and honestly probably even the fae since he's so solitary. I imagine Malleus looking at a child and going "they told me to entertain but I am trying and it's not working" and meanwhile he has the child boosted up in a high chair at the table and between them is a chess board and he's been trying to play them in chess for over three hours but the child keeps trying to EAT THE PIECES WAIT STOP THAT THIS IS LILIA'S CHESSBOARD HE WILL NOT BE HAPPY WITH ME OH CRAP.
And there's my thoughts! Hope you enjoyed :D

Bruce has such insane “I love you and want to give you the world but I’m just going to sit here and stare at you until you think something is wrong” dad energy
Jason: oh my god…he’s totally mad about something
Bruce, thinking hard about when Jason was short: baby

Vlad meets Lex. He realizes some things.
Vlad meets Lex Luthor at a gala, and Lex is schmoozing hard.
Lex has heard about Vlad's weirdass business deals, knows something isn't right, and he want whatever untraceable power Vlad's got at his disposal.
Lex has done his research, and knows that Vlad got the equipment for cloning, but that no child was ever announced. So Lex starts bragging, going on and on about Kon and talking about the kid like he's a Thing.
And Vlad, listening to this, has some unfortunate realizations about how he was treating Ellie.
So Vlad excuses himself and does some digging of his own, and holy shit do the dead have a lot to gossip about regarding how Superman used to treat the boy, and Vlad...doesn't want to be compared to either of those buffoons.
He's better than both of them combined.
And he's gonna prove it.
He's gonna be the daddest dad that ever dadded.
He'll be way better than Jack, and if he's a better father than Jack then Daniel and Jasmine and Maddie will follow! He just has to learn how to be a good parent.
Easy.
He proceeds to buy every parenting book he can find, and signs himself up for parenting classes.
Ellie, minding her own business, feels a shiver go down her back.

there are two parental bonds inside you:
one soft and loving towards each other
the other fierce and protective of each other
may i please have @somerandomdudelmao blessing on one of these versions? 🙏
i don't know which one to put my focus on and the vibes for each would change the way i'd ink and color them

✨Loud convo≠Fighting✨
To those who have siblings- don’t you just hate it when you’re actually having a GOOD convo with your sibling, and your parents think you’re fighting??
Yeah, I hate that shit too

Prompt 245
Now Danny would openly admit, if only to himself, that he had a type when it came to relationships. If they were strong, if they were a threat to him, then chances were he would develop some sort of crush. It was how he had dated Sam and Valerie (And Johnny & Kitty) when he was a bit younger, and hell, Sam had technically succeeded in killing him, even if partly.
Attraction towards smart people who could kill him was honestly par for the course for a Fenton or Nightingale anyway.
And he’d also admit he enjoyed a bit of time travel, learning about times and culture long before his time, to the point that he could blend in in ancient times just as easily as the time he had been born in. That it was natural to mutter in a language lost to time.
So color him surprise when another man perks up in the bar he had paused to get a drink in, vibrant green eyes gleaming in interest and responds in turn. And not just in the language, but able to keep up when he talks about things that once existed but haven’t been rediscovered yet.
And one thing led to the other, and there might have been some assassins and some shenanigans that end with them both laughing together in an inn and then more and- Okay he has a type alright, and he’s ticking each box! How is that fair?

AU - Ra's al Ghul being a grandfather to all of the Wayne kids
During their ongoing petty battles, Tim makes the mistake of calling Ra's "grandpa" as an insult. He meant it as a term to call the man old.
Ra's did not take it this way.
After being called "grandpa" by his rival/desired heir (pt. 3), he starts to wonder if all of Bruce's kids consider him to be their grandfather (they do not).
Cue Ra's al Ghul picking up grandparent guidebooks and trying to implement the advice. Because he's so out of touch with reality and society (he's a 600 year old assassin cult leader), he doesn't implement them correctly.
His go to method for hangouts with any of the Wayne kids is kidnapping. They don't know he's just trying to spend time with them. There's a ton of miscommunication.
Ra's quickly learns that if he has grandfather-grandchild time with Damian by himself, the Waynes.... overreact (they're not overreacting. They think Ra's is kidnapping Damian for some nefarious plot). Ra's then starts kidnapping Damian with one of his siblings for group hangouts.
He also will have grandfather-grandchildren days when Talia visits Bruce. He wants them to be able to spend time without the kids interrupting (even if the kids are in another country from Bruce, Ra's still kidnap them. Talia is also going to Bruce to beat him up for Damian instead of a date. Ra's thinks it's just their relationship dynamic).
The old man also spends a lot of time debating what makes someone a Wayne kid. Bruce's adoption habit makes this needlessly more difficult. He eventually lands on only considering those Damian claims as his siblings as his grandchildren.
It gets to the point that Ra's al Ghul even starts lecturing Bruce when he's being an ass to the grandkids.
How Ra's spoils his grandkids:
Damian - Ra's sets up a bunch of animal sanctuaries around the world. He takes the kid to all of them and seriously implements all of his ideas. He also sends him expensive, rare art supplies that can double as weapons (Damian thought the paints doubling as poison were fun to use).
Jason - The Outlaws get access to a bunch of weapons and gear. He also occasionally provides assistance or information.
Tim - Ra's doesn't do anything different. They already "hang out" a ton when Tim is in a petty and vindictive mood (Tim tries to fuck up Ra's day and the ancient bastard sees it as a bonding activity).
Cass - Ra's, after seeing that Cass sometimes experiences issues communicating with civilians, starts funding organizations that increase accessibility. He also attends every single recital she has.
Duke - Ra's provides access to his research material so that Duke might be able to find a way to help his parents. He also buys him really expensive glasses and blackout curtains to help with his migraines
Steph - The old man will gift wrap people who were shitty to Steph so that she can beat them up or get revenge. Her many hobbies (gaming, gymnastics, music, etc.) get funded as well.
Dick - Ra's either kidnaps Dick with a sibling he hasn't seen for a bit (allowing Dick to have quality time), or he'll enforce self care days for the acrobat.
Barbara - She is helped by the same organizations that help Cass, but Ra's usually just provides her with information the Birds of Prey can use.

Dc x dp idea 38
We know jack had a witch hunter in his family line. Let’s make him competent at it. Make him also go after other supernatural beings. He’s super good at capturing, detaining, banishing and even killing the entities. To bad he doesn’t care about any safety precautions.
It ends with the family line essentially being cursed. They were being hunted and stuff. The reason the fentonnightingales just turned into Fenton was to hide from the beings.
When Danny dies and comes back there presence is made known again. It did take a powerful event to become an halfa. Suddenly the family is being hunted again.
The Fenton parents love it. They have more entries to research and capture now.
Jazz and Danny not so much. Jazz ends up taking Danny away from amity to see if that would stop the constant attacks.
No one in the infinite realm gave and advice on how to get them to leave them alone. Frostbite only warns not to go ghost unless he has to. Apparently if the entities knew he was a halfa more powerful threats may want to attack him.
The two siblings are discovered by the JLD after a very powerful entity tried to attack them.
Now the two are basically hanging out with the JLD while they figure out how to fix it. The last name trick would not work a second time. That and anyone with any magic can feel the death magic on danny.
Danny refuses to elaborate on why he feels like death itself. Until one day a world ending threat tries to take out the siblings. Apparently fentonnightingale had sealed it away and it only just broke the bindings.
The JLD needed some artifacts or item to reseal it. But when it grabs Jazz. Danny goes ballistic and transforms.
Turns out most things won’t mess with Danny or his sister anymore. He one shot a super powerful entity and apparently had three marks of protection from the ancients. Those being frostbite, clockwork, and pandora.
Frostbite only told him not to transform was because clockwork told him not to.

"he gets that from his father" talia says about something jason does that she definitely subconsciously instilled in him while he was recovering
Talia and Bruce as divorced parents haphazardly co-parenting their insane children is SO funny to me.
Everything Talia dislikes is Bruce’s fault. Bruce blames anything weird on Talia. The truth is somewhere in the middle. They’re BOTH insane and have raised and co-parented insane children.
And they kind of miss each other when they see those glints and memories in their kids 🥹
Talia remembering Bruce’s stubbornness when Jason grits his teeth through a broken leg and insists on sparring again. Bruce feeling nostalgic for the time Talia bit him during a spar when he sees Damian bite a goon who got too close. You know, normal stuff.
