Hi! I like so much your blog and i was reading the ttpd playlist with 5sos song and i was wondering, why do you choose Red Desert for the depression part?

hey anon!! Thank you so much, it means a lot to know people like my blog!
The decision to put red desert on the depression playlist was an interesting one!! And one that’s always up for refute too, I’m not the expert on which song goes where I’ve just got my best guess to give. Basically, to me it’s a typical 5sos song: looks all fun and cathartic but the more you listen to it you see the way it hints to darker things. And with the premise being ‘red red desert heal our blues’ it has me thinking of a time where you know something is wrong, and you’re now doing something to try feel better but the feeling better hasn’t actually happened yet. ‘Demons we’re running from theyre begging to stay’ embodies ‘old habits die screaming’ perfectly and ‘won’t you leave all your fears at the edge of the world’ implies being in the thick of it but also the very beginnings of regaining autonomy amidst the chaos. There’s desperation but also hope in ‘tell me won’t you pack up all your bags, stay true to north’ which kinda reminds me of os/co but ‘I’ve been asleep so long, wasting away’ is very much a depression thing to me when you’re tired of feeling and you go numb instead. Then the premise of the desert setting as a destination is like, I’m not gonna be overwhelmed by life there, I have a chance to feel things and have them catch up to me somewhere safe where I feel small against the expanse of nothingness and my problems do too—the acceptance hasn’t quite come but it’s on its way.

Breaking Free from the Need for Proof

The need for “proof” in 3D to believe comes from a mental programming that prioritizes what already exists in the physical world. This is normal, but can be transformed with practice and patience. Here are some ways to deal with it:
Understand the Dynamics of 3D(external world) 4D(your consciousness)
It's all one. The terms were created so that we could rationalize and understand, but it doesn't change the fact that it's all one.
3D reflects your beliefs and vibrations, but it is the “effect,” not the “cause.” 4D (your imagination and consciousness) is the origin of everything. Remember that in order for 3D to change, you must first accept 4D as reality.
Affirmation: “The physical world is just a reflection. My imagination is the true reality.”
Redefine the Meaning of “Proof/evidence”
Realize that inner change is the greatest proof you can have. Feeling more confident, optimistic, and at peace are signs that your manifestation is on its way. Recognize these changes as real evidence.
Affirmation: “My inner peace is the only proof I need.”
Release the Need for Control
Proof anxiety comes from the desire to control the “how” and “when” of your manifestation. Accept that the universe (or your consciousness) knows exactly how to deliver what you desire at the right time.
Practice: Whenever you feel anxiety, say, “I release control. It is done.”
Experience “Vivid Imagination”
When visualizing, make the experience as real as possible. Imagine smells, sounds, touches, and emotions. The more vivid your imagination, the less you will need external “proof,” because your mind will begin to accept the 4D as real.
Affirmation: “My imagination is as real as the physical world.”
Remember That You’ve Manifested Before
Think about situations in your life where something worked out or showed up unexpectedly, even without you realizing it was manifesting. This reinforces your confidence that you have always been creating your reality.
Exercise: List three things you have manifested and acknowledge your power in them.
Avoid Comparisons
If you find yourself thinking that others manifest faster or easier, remember that every journey is unique. The only thing that matters is where you put your focus right now.
Affirmation: “My journey is perfect and is working exactly as it should.”
In the end, the key is to persist in your inner certainty, even when 3D doesn’t yet reflect what you want. External proof comes naturally when you stop looking for it and start trusting the power of your 4D.

the law of assumption.
manifestation refers to the practice of controlling thoughts, thinking wisely and exercising self-awareness. it’s the act which represents the very cause of the materialisation of our own consciousness into the external physical world. but what is this phenomenon based on?
the reason is called the law of assumption. the law of assumption is what the reflection of our inner conversations is dependent on. it’s the law that enables the process of conscious creation done in the mind. it���s the undeniable, inescapable and irrefutable principle which states that our thoughts, moreover our assumptions, shape our outer reality. one of the most known teachers to have coined and defined the law as we know it today was neville goddard. he has provided us with most of the information we have nowadays in forms of books and lectures.
disclaimer · now, the theory or philosophy behind the law has existed for a very long time, way before neville goddard has redefined its meaning by his own conceptions. in terms of spirituality, the belief in the creative power of thoughts has been existent for far longer than that.
assumptions harden into fact.
with the law of assumption, we are referring to a very certain group of thoughts — assumptions. assumptions are merely accepted thoughts, thoughts you claim to be true or thoughts you consistently turn back to, aka continuously persist in.
it is important to note that your assumptions, by definition, aren’t based on evidence at all. you assume things to be correct to you without the confirmation of the senses or any other physical validation or verification. why? because the law of assumption is based on faith. on your own, personal belief. it is entirely separated from anything that could be deemed as factual, fixed or forever. therefore, by this law, you are allowed to assume anything. there has to be NO explanation for why you want to assume something! you just do it.
facts about and along the law.
the law is also no respector of morals and values. the same way it does not respect logic, it does not work with logical reasoning either. your assumptions manifest because of your acceptance in them, regardless of any sense. they aren’t based on any truth but your truth.
your assumptions create the world around you. it's inevitable. the assumptions you have about yourself, your family, your friends,… everything and everyone, all of them build the ground which you call your life.
another point is that your thoughts — and your thoughts only — create. you are the god of your reality, the creator of your life and the only operant power. thus, everyone is you pushed out, meaning everybody is a product of your assumption about them and yourself, leaving no place for "free will" exist. you are the god of your reality, therefore if you desire a change in the world, there is nothing and no one to change other than self.
because creation is finished, because there is an infinite number of states, any reality that you could possibly think of exists already. anything you can desire, you can imagine and therefore manifest. everything is possible. there is nothing in this world that you cannot be or have, as there are no limitations or restrictions to you. reality is simply what you assume it to be.
consciousness is the only reality. everything stems from your awareness. things can only exist within consciousness owing to the fact that imagination creates reality. and that’s where all creation starts — in the mind, mentally. as you are within, so you are without, meaning that signs do not precede but they follow. yourself must be expressed, dictating, directing and determining the contents of your world.

hey angel! thank you for this question in my mailbox! and ahhhh thank you so much you're so sweet!! i'm sorry this post was a little late, self-care is soooo important, i want to give you some tips that you don't hear to often that i do in my self-love journey! i'll share some not-so-obvious self-love practices that literally changed my life! ♡
♡ redefining your space psychology because your environment shapes your self-perception:
bedroom makeover with intention:
rearrange furniture to face the sunrise (this literally changed my morning mindset!)
create a "victory wall" with tiny achievements (i put up a photo of my first B- grade that turned into an A-)
place mirrors strategically (not just for selfies, but for daily affirmations)
use color psychology (i painted one wall rose quartz pink in my room and it actually improved my mood)
create a dedicated self-love corner (mine has fairy lights, positive letters from friends, and little trinkets from my childhood, along with printed photos from pinterest with self-love affirmations/lists.
♡ morning practices instead of basic routines, try these instead:
the "main character energy" morning:
write how your day went (successfully) and about yourself in third person (like "mindy gracefully picked up her pen, to conquer calculus, she did all her chores, and even studied japanese for 2 hours.")
practice "mirror dating" (spend 5 mins having an actual conversation with yourself - it's weird but works!)
create a "today i choose" list (instead of a to-do list)
dance to one song before doing anything else (i do taylor swift, or newjeans obviously)
write a love letter to a body part you're struggling with (i wrote to my uncooperative hair and now we're besties <3)
♡ digital self-love (but make it intentional) because we live online but need boundaries:
phone transformation:
change your passwords to affirmations (mine is a variation of "mindyisworthy2025")
create a folder of your awkward photos (embrace the cringe! and laugh with your friends, its so fun)
record yourself modeling, or pretending your a celebrity or k-pop idol
take selfies without filters (document your real smile)
set random alarms with love notes to yourself
hide little sticky notes with cute reminders about yourself in your room, so when you stumble upon it a month later it'll make you smile!
social media rebellion:
post the photos you'd usually delete (even if it's made private)
share your real study space (messy notes and all)
document your growth journey (even the uncomfortable parts)
create a finsta for your completely unfiltered self
make reels about your self-love journey (even if they're private)
♡ physical self-love (the weird but effective version) not basic bubble baths:
unexpected body appreciation:
thank your body parts for specific things ("thank you hands for letting me write my study notes")
have a private dance party in weird places (i do this in elevators when i'm alone)
wear your prettiest clothes to study, or even to the grocery store (even if no one sees)
make up your own choreography to your favorite songs
make your own workout or stretching routine with different stretches/exercises you make up yourself
comfort zone expansion:
try eating alone in public (start small - i began with coffee shops)
wear that "special occasion" outfit to class
speak up in class even if your voice shakes
send yourself flowers to your dorm/apartment (I LOVE DOING THIS EVERY VALENTINES <33)
take yourself on cute dates (let a coin flip decide where you go! or ask google.)
♡ emotional archaeology dig deeper than surface-level feelings:
create an emotion museum:
keep a "weird thoughts" journal (mine has my 3am existential questions)
make a playlist for each mood (even the uncomfortable ones)
collect "emotional souvenirs" (me and my grandmother had a cafe date a few years ago, and i still keep the receipt today)
document your crying sessions (trust me, looking back at these helps)
write letters to your past and future self
validation exercises:
practice saying "my feelings about this are valid" in the mirror
create a "proof of worth" folder on your phone
collect screenshots of nice messages
record yourself giving pep talks
keep a "wins" journal (especially tiny ones)
♡ advanced self-love techniques for when you're ready to level up:
relationship building with yourself:
schedule weekly "self-dates" (i do wednesday coffee dates with myself)
create a personal manifesto (update it monthly)
develop inside jokes with yourself
celebrate monthly self-love anniversaries
create traditions just for you
growth documentation:
take progress polaroids (not just physical)
voice record your daily thoughts
measure growth in unconventional ways (like "times i chose myself")
create time capsules every season
write monthly letters to yourself
self-love isn't just face masks and bubble baths (though those are nice too!). it's about building a deep, weird, wonderful relationship with yourself. it's about becoming your own best friend, confidante, and biggest supporter.
some of these might seem strange at first, but that's okay! the best relationships often have their quirks. start with what feels right and slowly expand your comfort zone. it's not just about practicing self-love, it's also about creating your own unique love language with yourself!
you're doing amazing things just by being you, and i'm so proud of you for prioritizing this journey! remember, the relationship you have with yourself sets the tone for every other relationship in your life.

This Year Themes Based on the Day of the Week of your Solar Return 📅

Each of the 7 days of the week are ruled by a planet. The day of the week that your Solar Return falls on can provide more insight into how your year is going to go.
Before we begin: DoTW is Day of The Week (Which the planet rules)
There are a few things to consider about the corresponding planet in your NATAL chart:
Sign it’s in (General energy of the planet/year)
House placement (Area of life that will be especially significant that year)
Aspects to the planet (I will elaborate on this later)
Day or Night chart (Day: Sun in Houses 7-12. Night: Sun in Houses 1-6) — Day charts have Jupiter as their Benefic and Saturn as their Malefic/Night charts have Venus as their Benefic and Mars as their Malefic)
The degree of the planet (If you’re feeling fancy! Small influence on the planet’s energy)
Lastly, covering all of this: Is it afflicted? Years ruled by afflicted planets in your natal chart will likely present their themes as challenges.
ASPECTS TO THE DoTW PLANETS
Trines between planets will be natural, positive flows of energy that will assist you this year. (For example, if the DoTW planet is trine Moon, your emotions/comfort will naturally assist you in this year’s endeavors)
Sextiles between planets will also be positive flows of energy. I personally interpret sextiles to be energies one has to tap into. (Again, DoTW planet sextile Neptune, your intuition/creativity can assist you this year if you tap into them)
Squares between planets will create conflicts and challenges that you will have to overcome. It’s tension you’ll be forced to dissipate. (DoTW planet square Venus will create challenges around harmony/luxury/values this year)

My testimony: My moon is afflicted which made the year super difficult for me. That said, I ended up going through a lot of deep emotional healing and came out a way better person by my next birthday.

I know I’m not doing well rn because a fucking advert from Scope I read yesterday has been going round my head and going sour in my stomach for about 18 hours rn.
It said some variant on “disability doesn’t stop people doing things”.
Before we even get into the difference between societal barriers and personal impairments etc etc - I’m just so *sick* of the level of toxic positivity the whole disability sector seems to be *increasingly* full of.
Particularly while more and more people who depend on social care for things other than intimate care seem to be getting their care packages just cut suddenly without any explanation or warning. This is for things like “keeping your house at basic levels of cleanliness and hygiene”, “washing clothing” and “cooking”. I’ve seen this from friends and strangers on groups I’m in, all across the UK. As if the entire sector has just decided that if you can toilet and get clothing on without needing physical aid to do those things nothing else in your life matters, including being able to eat, wear clean clothing or get rid of rubbish.
We have already seen care packages for leaving your home get whittled away, despite these being still legally guaranteed under the Care Act. The idea that it’s fine to be completely socially isolated as long as someone came to help you with the basics of home care has been largely accepted in so many councils for some years now; that exercising, maintaining relationships with friends and family and getting fresh air was some sort of ridiculous luxury. *Despite* the legal guarantees remaining; the sector just made a pact to mostly ignore them.
And now that seems to have been redefined once again to “if you’re not physically lying in your own filth, the idea that your home should meet basic hygiene standards and you should be able to eat hot food is a ridiculous luxury”.
And I’m lying in my bed feeling like a total failure because getting Cynthie out for a rollator walk and going downstairs to eat dinner 3-4 days a week turns me into being incoherent through fatigue by about 6pm atm. I managed to play Pendragon on Discord last night for the first time in a fortnight and that felt a huge achievement.
And Scope are chirping away about disability not preventing anyone from achieving anything.

What's the solution to being out of alignment?🙏🏼
Realigning with yourself typically involves tuning into your values, setting goals that resonate with you & taking care of your mind & body. For me, it typically means that there are people I’ve allowed in my life that don’t align because I am very strict with myself about routines, habits etc & am constantly analyzing my emotions & actions. So when I’m off it involves taking several steps:
• Identifying what feels off & misaligned. Journal, meditation & spending time alone to figure out who/what the culprit is that has you off center
• Reflecting on core values—things like health, family, creativity, or independence. Misalignment can happen when we stray from our values, so understanding them can help guide your choices
• Redefining what you want in various areas of life & setting intentions that align with your values
• Make sure to stay on track with your routine & habits. Sleep, exercise & mindfulness improves mental clarity and helps you feel grounded
• Limit social media, unnecessary obligations, or habits that drain your energy. On a general aspect I ONLY CONSUME things that align with my goals. Simplifying your environment and commitments allows you to focus more on what aligns with your goals
• Put extra focus on things that interest & inspire you. Learning, hobbies etc
• See who you are surrounding yourself with, what they bring out of you, who you become, their traits. When I’m off the first thing I do is limit interactions with everyone who’s actively in my life until I can evaluate each interaction
You need to have very honest conversations with yourself and have a very clear understanding of your values. Then establish strong boundaries & be very honest with yourself about situations and how they make you feel

mental diets.
in regards to manifesting, a mental diet is considered a diet in relation to your daily thoughts. it's a diet for the mind that prescribes you which thoughts you can "feed" and "nourish" yourself with and which thoughts you need to avoid or abstain from. in short, it's an inevitable and essential part of everyone's manifestation journey.
thoughts.
before we get into procedure and practice, let's first define the two types of thoughts that we have. our thoughts are categorised into either positive or negative. positive thoughts are the ones you are permitted to have, negative thoughts are the ones which are forbidden to think about.
positive thoughts.
these are thoughts that confirm or contribute to you having your desire. they help you live in the end and stay in your desired state. they are in alignment with who you want to be and how you want to show up as.
negative thoughts.
these are thoughts that stand in opposition to your desired reality. they contradict your aim and are in the way of being or becoming your desired version of self.
practice and procedure.
when going on a a mental diet, you become more conscious of the thoughts you think of on autopilot and on a daily basis. you try to observe the thoughts your mind keeps coming back to habitually and make decisions upon the direction of your inner conversations, controlling and managing thoughts of good, bad or indifferent nature. in other words, you start to consciously change and correct your thoughts, as you are in complete charge!
when it comes to positive thoughts, you are obviously allowed to think and accept them. your goal is to think as positively as you can and engage with thoughts in your favour. with negative thoughts however, your aim is to deny any ideas that do not serve you or your desired self. you have to refuse to entertain any opposing thoughts concerning your desires and not let any undesired thoughts influence who you are conscious of being.
after rejecting these thoughts, your job is to redefine yourself. this means that you are revising negative statements made in the mind and replace them with positive ones, validating your desired story. whenever you catch yourself thinking unfavourably, you alter ("flip") that thought on the spot, then and there. you basically reaffirm it.
purpose.
there are several intentions of a mental diet. some include realigning yourself with your desired state, not allowing your mind to fall into old, undesired thinking patterns, eliminating and erasing as limiting or contradictory thoughts, getting rid of intrusive thinking, leaving no room for uncontrolled thinking, purposely filtering bad thoughts, not indulging in any unpleasant ideas, provide yourself with positive thoughts, creating new thinking habits and establishing a new mindset, building trust in the law and yourself, solidifying your desire in your mind as yours, strengthening your belief and faith in your assumptions, understanding that you have the ability to select your thoughts, training and learning how to spot unwanted thoughts right away, practicing mindfulness, discipline and self-awareness, directing your focus, attention and concentration, exercising self-reflection,... and more.
permanent diet.
the way you go on a mental diet is pretty natural, as conscious manifestation itself is all about filtering thoughts and choosing between what’s good and what’s not. it’s a diet that persists as it turns into a lifestyle, a lifelong commitment, which starts to feel more and more familiar over time. you do not suddenly stop supervising your inner monologues, even after obtaining your desire. you will most definitely continue to persist in your desired assumptions as well as your overall desired mindset and way of thinking.
only once you fixate too much on perfecting your mental diet, that’s when it becomes unnatural. a mental diet's purpose is to support you in staying in your wished state. it’s simply guiding you towards better attitudes and approaches of the mind.
implementation.
you can improve your mental statements by …
interrupting your thought process. with this technique, you basically intervene and stop yourself from thinking. whenever you find yourself assuming something unfavourable, you won't "complete" the thought.
revising ("flipping") your thinking. after you have interfered with your own thoughts, your next task is to revise the statement you were making mentally. you do this by replacing your old, undesirable thought with a new, desirable thought.
reassuring by reaffirming. especially when you are revising your thoughts, you can use affirmations such as "i remember when i manifested ...", "regardless of everything, i have manifested ...", "remember when i manifested ...?" or other umbrella affirmations to make you feel self-assured.
diet in steps.
this is a mental diet simplified:
reflect · you reflect on a thought and decide whether it's positive or negative.
