Dating Ross Geller Would Include

You’d meet through the university.

And you’d think he was super cute for an absolute nerd.

He’d ask you out first.

Pretty soon you’re dating seriously because he’s not a fling kind of guy.

Dates would include museums, galleries and cute picnics in the park.

He’s not the best in bed but he knows what he’s doing. 

And he’s good at communicating which means you’re never left high and dry.

You’d love the way he geeks out over stuff even if it wasn’t your cup of tea.

‘And this could mean we could find a completely different species that we never knew existed! I’m boring you aren’t I?’ ‘No closing my eyes helps me focus.’

He’s super sweet and thoughtful.

But mostly in private. 

He’s not big on PDA. 

He’d introduce you to his friends soon into the relationship.

You’d love them all. 

And you’d love teasing him with them. 

You and Monica would really get on.

You’d be wary about Rachel. 

But he’d reassure you that was in the past.

But it would still cause some fights.

Especially because he gets jealous of you and other men. 

‘So it’s okay for you to get jealous but not me?!’ 

You’d be serious fast [its ross].

Because Carol had seen so many women come and go she was wary about you.

But eventually, you’d meet Ben. 

And you’d love him like one of your own. 

You’d tease him about his divorces but you make it clear you were serious about him.

But he couldn’t help himself and it would slip out.

But you’d say no when he proposed the first time. 

And the second. 

And third.

The compromise was moving in together. 

And his asking became sort of a running joke. 

But you’d assure him you weren’t going anywhere.

‘Okay yeah.’ ‘What?’ ‘I’ll marry you.’ ‘But I didn’t ask?’ ‘I know but it’s a Tuesday and I figured you’d probably say it at some point.’ 

Monica would be your wedding planner. 

Which meant you didn’t have to lift a finger. 

Judy would love you. 

And you apologise to Monica because you can see the way she fawns over you upsets her. 

You and Monica would become very close.

And the longer you and Ross were together the more you and rachel would become friends.

Eventually, you'd move out of the city. 

Probably nearby Monica and Chandler.

And Ross would definitely want more kids. 

He’d be a good dad.

But definitely a little pushy. 

You’d have to remind him that it’s what your kids wanted not hat he wanted. 

But you knew it was because he wanted your kids to do well. 

But it didn't matter.

Because your kids were never short of Aunts and Uncles to talk to if they needed to.

And that went the same for you two. Because they weren't just friends. They’re family.

his entire family knows everything about you

insists on buying you a drink every time you go to the coffee shop  

(even if he has to borrow money from chandler to do so)

he tells everyone how you’re so smart and he doesn’t know what he would do without you 

‘(y/n) is great. i mean, she taught me  what rectify meant. i always just thought it was another way of saying as—’

you and the girls become besties of course

rachel loves going shopping with you 

(and joey loves tagging along to try to watch you try stuff on)

and monica cooks for you

phoebe gives you free massages 

and chandler loves you too 

like sometimes you’ll wake up before joey when you’re staying at their apartment and you and chandler will just talk

he caught you guys once though and he still hasn’t let you live it down

ross let’s you hold ben

joey loves just waking up next to you

unless you’ve knocked hugsy off the bed

and he’ll make sure he doesn’t wake you up as he covers you with the blankets and goes to make you breakfast

you and joey have movie marathons and during scary movies he insists on holding you close “in case you get scared”

but really it’s cause he’s terrified

he would actually do anything for you 

when you guys go out to dinner he even lets you share his desert 

‘alright fine, just don’t take a big bite!’

loves it when you run your fingers through his hair 

he once tried to cook you your favorite food for your birthday and almost burned his apartment down

you help him read lines all the time to practice for upcoming auditions

and he always picks ones with romantic scenes just for an excuse to kiss you 

‘and it says here dr. drake is supposed to kiss mr. roberts? hey, i don’t know, i don’t write these things.’

he is so gentle it’s adorable 

you guys cuddle all the time

calls you baby occasionally

but he also gets super jealous and protective of you if someone hits on you

How They React to You Telling Them You’re Pregnant

Monica:

Kisses your stomach.

Talks to the baby every chance she gets before screaming to the others that she’s going to be a mom.

Goes to the balcony where she screams out to anybody listening.

“I’m going to be a mom!”

Rachel:

Almost chokes on her food when you tell her.

“A baby. Wow.”

She gets up and hugs you.

“Rach, you’re hugging too tight.”

Phoebe:

Gets happy to the point of tears.

“I’m just so happy!”

“Yay, yay, yay, yay!”

Ross:

At first, he doesn’t know how to react.

He seems happy and nervous.

“A baby? Is… is… are we happy about this?”

When you nod, he envelops you in a hug, whispering sweet nothings in your ear.

Joey:

Shocked.

Goes for the condoms he carries in his pocket.

“Joey, what are you doing?”

“I’m calling the condom company and telling them their products don’t work.”

Chandler:

Panics at first, but then starts to giggle.

He dances around the apartment.

☁️FRIENDS: Monica x Rachel headcannons☁️

Before dating-

They definitely had "movie nights" but, conveniently forgot to invite Phoebe.

Those "movie nights" were just them kissing and talking trash about everyone else-

They were almost caught several times by Joey and Chandler.

(Chandler definitely knew what was up though-)

Anytime one of them has a date with some guy to hide their relationship the other makes sure to comfort and cuddle the other, as well as having a whole debrief on what they didn't like about the guy.

After dating-

So. Many. Romantic. Dinner. Dates. Filled with candles, fancy tablecloth, and the whole nine yards.

Rachel steals Monica's clothes so often, anytime she's confronted about it though she'll deny it.

Monica loves seeing Rachel's sketches and fashion ideas, she just likes hearing Rachel rant about what she loves.

They had a huge wedding, though most of it was planned by Monica. Monica made sure the bouquet was lilies and the centerpieces for the tables.

Whenever Rachel had Emma, Monica was so scared yet so happy because she finally got a kid of her own. (She also beat up Ross but we don't talk about that-)

Okay, Friends is a deeply flawed show. But does anyone else headcanon Ross as trans?

It makes sense of so many things for me. He pretended to be a woman as a child and was teased for it. He mercilessly polices other men’s masculinity, while struggling to police his own. When he does let down that toxic barrier and just behaves as his freest self, it’s usually to act in a way he considers “girly”, and will shut down his own happiness to conform when men are around. He felt happy and confident in women’s clothing until he realized that other people saw it as women’s clothing on a man, then what looks like dysphoria hits and he feels horrible and has to escape.

He’s also at his least selfish and douche-y when he stops worrying about performing masculinity for a few brief moments. And of course, the show makes his struggle with his perceived femininity the butt of a long running joke, because of course it does.

she’s so good at taking care of you when you’re sick or hurt 

and she goes a little overboard because she loves you

you call her ‘mom’ to make her mad

you guys can talk for hours on end about anything on your minds

and they all agree that you bring out the best in her and make her less like a psychopath
