Pt 5 of forever teen Danny adopted JJ Tim and Red Hood. Damian finally gets to see his Akhi again.

[Pt 4: Here]

Damian only got glimpses of the second group of vigilantes in Gotham over the year and a half he's been with his father before he realized how fallible his Father is. He feels woefully misinformed by his Mother, who only sang the man's praises.

At first, it was because the Bats trust him not to use deathly force as well as the last two Robins' being a fresh wound for Father and Richard. And it stung to hear them make plans to convince a meta child to join them so that the crazed lunatics that loyally follow him will follow suit. Sure, it was because one of the lunatics was the second to last Robin who went crazy and refused their help, but it felt like his Father and supposed big brother simply found him unacceptable and burdensome.

Eventually, he decides to break into their files to learn everything they have on the non-Bat Gotham vigilantes, only to discover that the Bat version of events that he was told was incomplete. Horrendously incomplete.

He found camera footage of how terribly they treated Timothy Drake from the moment he entered the Waynes' lives to the moment he ran away. Damian would stay far away from them, too, if he endured half of what Timothy did. Damian already wasn't planning to help his Father and Richard to bring him back into the fold, but now the reason for why is completely different. Damian shall aid him if the moment arises.

The second "lunatic" Damian could recognize anywhere. It's his Akhi from the league! Mother must have sent Jason to Gotham ahead of him. He's using the name Red Hood and became significantly less violent since being adopted by Timothy and the Meta. Damian didn't know pit madness was curable, but the reports prove they did something and helped his Akhi. He wonders if he could ask at some point. Healing others with the affliction before they have to be put down would be amazing! Damian had been terrified of the day Akhi would be next, but now he doesn't have to worry.

Obviously, he's not going to help the Bats arrest his Akhi.

The last person of the group, the meta called Phantom is a complete unknown to him, and the Bats apparently. They estimate him to be 13, or a small 14, year old, but he's the clear leader of the group if the trio has to make a decision together. They've seen him use superstrength, fly, turn himself invisible, and turn himself intangible. He can transfer the last 3 abilities to other people or things so long as he's touching them. He seems to have a rigid moral code, but it isn't the same as Father's. Phantom is perfectly fine with murdering those he deems unacceptable, like the now deceased Joker or Black Mask (both were killed after a Robin was harmed. Which makes him feel a little safer.) or the random serial killer or rapist they find.

Father believes he can sway Phantom to his way of thinking, but Damian is not so sure. Phantom has made his hatred for Father and Richard well-known. And anytime they attempt to corner Phantom, or Timothy, or Akhi, the other two come in swinging.

Damian isn't sure what tonight's plans had been, but he had a bad feeling when he saw them taking John Constantine with them. He already figured out Phantom was a supernatural. He hasn't aged a day since he was first documented, and he's fairly sure Akhi counts too. He's just not sure what Akhi is. Damian is going to be pissed if Father and Richard have Constantine kill Phantom and Akhi just so they can get Timothy back. He'll personally break Timothy out of wherever they decide to lock him away and get them both out of Gotham if the hypocritical Waynes hurt the odd group.

He was forced to take the day off because of a sprained ankle. Which is ridiculous, he's done more with worse injuries, but decides not to argue so he can watch through their mask cameras. Damian seethes at the lies and half truths his family feeds to Constantine to get him to comply.

The trap they set works perfectly, unfortunately, and just as Constantine is about to try to exorcize Jason, the teens breakout into their own chant. The video feed becomes nearly completely static and voices cut in and out, but he can understand what's happening. Damian feels hysterical as he realizes what kind of fire these idiots were playing with and can barely scrape together sadness and guilt for them. He stares at the screens long after Phantom and his adopted children leave, only getting up to prep the med bay after Constantine moved Bruce and Richard to the batmoble. Gordon already called for the doctor, so there's nothing else he can do.

This stunt has broken any trust or safety Damian may have felt in the men he's supposed to view as family. He thinks about his options. He refuses to go back to his Mother or Grandfather, but he's not sure he wants to stay with the Waynes either. It feels like being stuck in a rock and a hard place.

Then he remembers how Timothy got adopted by "The Ghost King" after he tried to go to the Bats.

As much as he hates to leaving behind what feels like his responsibilities, he can't live here. He found plenty of recordings, from different Bats eavesdropping, of usually Phantom telling his sons that just because you can do something doesn't mean you have to. So just because he can help Bruce and Richard, doesn't mean he has to or should. Phantom was very clear on what he wanted THEM to do. Damian isn't part of the equation, and honestly doesn't want to be, he already was walking on egg shells when they weren't going to be belligerent.

When the batmoble barreling in, Damian decides his last act of service to the Waynes will be to help Constantine and Pennyworth get them to the med bay. He doesn't leave the cave until everyone is settled or left, and Pennyworth ushers him to bed. He glances at the peacefully sleeping Bruce and Richard (they were drugged to make setting their bones easier) one last time before complying with Alfred's order, sort of. He goes to his room.

While in his room, he pulls out the bag he arrived at the manor with. He packs 2 changes of clothes, his sketchbook, his pencil case, and his "allowance". He doesn't take more than that. He doesn't want to be indebted to the Bats anymore than he already feels he is. He feels like this will be an unforgivable betrayal in their eyes, but he finds he doesn't mind as much as he feared he would.

He decides to leave them all notes.

[Dear Pennyworth,

Thank you for your hospitality. I shall remember your lessons and think of you fondly, but I can no longer be in Father's care. His dealings with Poltergeist, Red Hood, and Phantom have been unacceptable. He rather kill an undead than reassess his ways. An undead that is my Akhi. I won't be returning until I feel they've actually changed.

Damian has outgrown the LoA gear he came in, so he dresses in black jeans, combat boots, a dark green, almost black (Richard said he needed more colour in his wardrobe) hoody, and a surgical mask. He knows Alfred shall be retiring soon and that all the windows and doors leading outside are alarmed. He'll have to sneak out of the cave and use Bruce's codes to get out without an alarm immediately going off. Richard's go off, so Bruce and Alfred know he's been there, and Damian's are so he can't leave without a Bat with him.

It took him two weeks to see enough to piece it together and was infuriated when he realized it was Jason's death date. It's completely disrespectful to Jason and clearly just another form of self flagellation, plus it's like using a birthday as a code, someone IS going to guess it eventually. It killed a lot of whatever respect Damian may have held before tonight.

When the time comes, he doesn't hesitate. It feels surreal to him as he escapes the Manor for probably the last time. He doesn't linger on the fond memories that seem to dig their fingers in as he sneaks away and makes his way to Crime Alley. He swallows the bitterness of realizing his blood relatives have never made him feel safe, only his Akhi. A man who willingly lives in the worst part of Gotham when he deserves the best.

But Damian knows how Jason's heart works. Crime Alley has always been his home, and he'll guard its people till his dying breath.

He climbs down a building and tries to not spook the pair of sex workers, "Excuse me?"

Mission failed, they both startle. The one with mostly straight hair and colourful makeup yells. "JESUS, KID! Ya tryin' ta scare me inta an early grave!?"

"Sorry." Damian mumbles apologically, "I was wondering if you could call Red Hood to pick me up?"

"Sure, kid, but why? Someone try ta sell something to ya?" The other one, with dredlocks and white and black makeup, asks.

"He's my brother, actually... I, um," Damian decides to lay it on thick, wobbling his voice and forcing himself teary-eyed. "I ran away from our relatives. They kept me trapped, and I haven't been able to contact him to tell him I wasn't as safe as we thought I'd be. I ran away, but don't know where he or Poltergeist live..."

"Shush, kid, alright," Black and white sighs, pulling out her(?) phone and hitting call on a contact. "Don't make me regret this!"

Damian nods and stays silent during the phone call, only speaking once she(?) hangs up. "Uh, where should I wait? I don't want to disrupt your business more than I have."

"Ya a doll! Just like our Hoody!" Colourful coons.

"Ya know how to get to the roofs?"

"Yeah?"

"Then wait up there. A kid hangin' about is definitely bad fo' business and Hood will be comin' from the roofs anyway."

"Okay. Thank you for all your assistance." Damian bows slightly towards her before climbing up to the roof to wait. He can't be sure how long he waits, it feels both like hours and mere minutes have past when he hears Jason's familiar footsteps.

"Dami?" Jason sounds confused, which is valid. Last time they spoke Damian was willing to do anything to prove himself to his Grandfather and Bruce. "What are you doing here?"

"I have found both sides of my blood relations to be lacking." Damian admits. "I feel unsafe and wish to stay with you. If your new family would be amenable to it."

"Uh, dad?" Jason asks, tilting his head to the side. A voice coming from open air is very odd to witness in person.

"I don't see why not, but we'll have to ask your brother first." Phantom fades into view and drifts closer to Damian. It feels like the (APPARENTLY) Ghost King (??? Damian is still processing that detail to be honest.) can see Damian's soul. Who knows, maybe he can? Will he find Damian lacking?

"Right, okay, one second." Jason pulls out an odd looking phone and dials a number. "Don't get me wrong, Dami. I would love to have you, but it's a family decision to let you live with us. I cou- Oh! Yeah, so funny situation! How do you feel about adopting another bird?... Yeah...pfft yeah, okay, you have a point...And it'd be funny! .. Sweet! See you soon!"

"He said yes?" Phantom sounds amused and looks fond and unsurprised.

"Yup!" Damian can hear Jason's grin. "You're bunking with me until we upgrade our apartment again!"

"Very well." Damian easily accepts. Phantom tilts his head, eyeing Damian as if trying to get a read on him about something.

"Do you plan to continue being a vigilante?" Was not the question Damian thought he was going to be asked.

"I would like to. I left the Robin costume in the cave, though, so I'd need a new one." Phantom nods in acceptance. Damian doesn't know what he'd do if Phantom said no.

"I will allow it and help you make a new identity IF you promise to stay with me or your brothers when you go out. I won't have any of you dying before you're old and gray." Phantom looks like he will burn the city to the ground at the thought of his children dying. It's comforting. Damian can see why his throughly traumatized predecessors were drawn to him.

"I accept these terms so long as I have more independents as an adult."

"Hm.. we shall revisit the issue when you're 19." Phantom concedes, which is good enough for Damian. "I shall fly us home now. It's getting late and it's faster than parkour."

Damian barely has time to process that before they're rocketing through the Alley. Phantom's strange powers protecting him from wind resistance and gravity. It's the oddest thing he's ever felt, but not bad. Phantom simply phases them through the wall when they get to their apartment.

The frontroom is colourful. Furniture is random, but not clashing, colours. There's pillows and throw blankets of every colour folded to the side or scattered like someone pulled it off in a hurry. Books, games, and puzzles are crammed on multiple bookshelves. It's bright and chaotic, but also lived in and cozy.

Timothy skips in from the kitchen with a tray of 4 steaming mugs of hot cocoa, somehow not spilling a drop. "Hi!"

"Hello, Timothy. Thank you for letting me stay." Damian bows at about a 45 degree angle to show his respect.

"Oh! Um, no problem." Timothy's wide, but calculating eyes show he understands the significance of Damian's bow. "I made everyone hot chocolate. I wasn't sure how you liked yours, so I made it how Jason likes his. Yours and his are the navy and red cups. Dad's is the Nasa one, and this one is mine!"

Timothy says, holding up a rainbow cup with unicorn impaling someone on it.

"Thanks, Tim." Phantom says with a fond smile before something unexpected happens. Phantom turns into a human as he reaches for his cup. After a sip or two, he notices Damian's confusion. "I'm a halfa, kid. My name's Danny Kronoyios in this form. Still legally a dead guy and a ghost. I can just digest things easier in this form and access my powers in the other, can still do both in both, though."

"It's weird, but you get used to it." Jason says while ducking into a hallway. Damian awkwardly grabs the blue cup and sips at it. There's a lovely mix of spices in the cocoa, making it slightly spicy. Jason returns in pajama pants and a band t-shirt Damian doesn't recognize and plops on the couch Timothy has curled up on. "It's been one hell of a day!"

"Indeed." Phantom (because what kind of name is "Danny" for an undead king?) hums, "Want to watch an episode of something before bed?"

And that's how Damian's surreal night ends. He and his possibly new family, drinking cocoa while watching an episode of some show Damian doesn't really understand, but found amusing anyways. Timothy gives him some of his pajamas when they realize Damian didn't bring any. And Jason using him as a teddy bear when they all go to bed. It's nice. It's the safest he's felt since arriving in Gotham. He is positive he made the right choice.

Alternatively, who has the closest relationship with their zanpakuto? Who has the worst relationship?

1. Minazuki. I think she's the only one that has speaking lines that actually appear in the fic so far.

2. Closest relationship: Minazuki and Unohana. While most people retain a sense of separation between their kaku-kon/waking soul and their Yume-kon/dreaming soul, Unohana and Minazuki have learned enough about the malleability of The Flesh and Soul that they've stopped thinking about each other as discrete beings and more as one Being with two heads. Minazuki sometimes fully possesses Unohana's body when the human wants a break or the spirit is bored. It's fine though- Minazuki went through medical school with Unohana and is just as much a competent doctor as her wilder.

3. Worst relationship: there's a lot of ways for things to go badly between shinigami and Zanpakuto. Some examples:

Both Tousen and Zaraki do not actually know the names of their zanpakuto and have to go on a little adventure together to figure that shit out.

Neither of them have BAD relationships with their zanpakuto per se: both of them have been prevented from forming ANY relationship with their zanpakuto by outside forces- in Tousen's case, suzumushineas so hell-bent on revenge for Kakiyo that she effectively parasitized and suppressed his native Yume-kon to take it's place as his zanpakuto until Aizen was defeated. In Zaraki's case, he doesn't just know his Zanpakuto's name- he doesn't know his own name. At least, until the ink starts flaking off.

Komamura is not on speaking terms with his Yume-kon or "True" Zanpakuto. He is on GREAT terms with Tenken- but Tenken is a spirit he found and adopted back when he was a travelling priest/exorcist, who lives in the pauldrons Komamura is always wearing. Komamura absolutely refuses to go into the depths of his mind where his dreaming soul lives because he's TERRIFIED of it. He also has to go on a little adventure about that.

Isshin has always been impulsive but willingly cutting off Engetsu to save the life of a woman he met like ten minutes ago would have been the final straw, if Isshin hadn't already. You know. Cut Engetsu off first. Engetsu (or at least, the parts of him that were still around after the events of Everything But The Rain) was SO PISSED he fused with the remains of the Hollow "White" and some dead German guy to make up a new chimera of a spirit: Zangetsu.

Kisuke Urahara has talked Yoruichi into a lot of dumb shit, but probably the worst thing was attempting his "three days to Bankai" special confrontation training. It wasn't malicious, it was more like he didn't get that it wouldn't be replicable. Urahara's zanpakuto, Benihime, is a masochist and thoroughly enjoyed Kisuke being so rough with her. Wanting his best friend and lover to succeed as well, he recommended the exercise to Yoruichi and she, trusting her best friend and lover who had never led her astray before, decided to go through with it.

The Shihouin clan is an old and noble house and until then, had a family zanpakuto- the Shihouin Blade would die with the head of each clan and reincarnate with the next, under a new name, but with the wisdom of all its previous lives.

The Zanpakuto was so incensed by the cruel and cavalier way Yoruichi was treating it during the bankai speed run that it decided to kill itself instead of serving her.

It took Kisuke days worth of frantic improvisational surgery, some hogyoku bullshit and nearly all the healing capacity of the magical hot spring in the back of the training cave to keep Yoruichi from dying. The skills he learned there served him well with the Visored and when Engetsu 'died' on isshin during his battle with White, but he couldn't fix everything - Yoruichi is only at a fraction of her previous power, and has not had a single dream since the Zanpakuto left.

Worse still, the Zanpakuto does not seem to have re-incarnated. Urahara thinks it's a blessing- they went through some pains to hide the fact that Yoruichi lost the family sword, because the clan and possibly the entire Gotei-13 would turn on her in an instant if they found out. But Yoruichi worries- it SHOULD have re-incarnated in her baby brother Yushiro, but it didn't- is it gone for real?

Or worse, did it pick a new heir to the clan that they don't know about?

I'm suffering from a bunny-wan plot bunny. And I have to share it:

When Anakin's in the Temple during sporadic shore leaves, he works on te mouse droids. They all have their little names and more upgrades than any mouse droid should have. They should be subject to arms regulations at this stage.

Anakin's newest invention is an improved path tracking for the mouse droids. As he tests this, one of the droids (and we'll give him a ridiculous name like Lord Bucktooth the Fifteenth) runs into problems. Anakin uses the tracker on the mouse droids (another very necessary upgrade performed by yours truly) to locate the mouse droids.

He expects to find the droid snagged in a discarded cloak or stuck under a chair. But no, the mouse droid (Lord Bucktooth the Fifteenth) has crashed into a bunny. Now, I imagine the scene like this:

the mouse droid lies on its back, wheels still spinning madly (courtesy of the speed update). Meanwhile, the rabbit lies on its flank, the fur on its flank mussed from the collision.

It's very clear that the mouse droid should have given way to the rabbit and just ran the poor animal over. Now, Anakin is not usually an animal person. Animals can sense his Force signature, always roiling like thunderstorms and doing the equivalent of dropping the barometric pressure. But this rabbit is undeterred by Anakin crouching by the crime scene. Because this is undeniably Anakin's fault.

After putting the mouse droid back on its wheels, Anakin turns to the rabbit. And to his surprise, the rabbit lets him smooth the mussed fur on his flank. Thus, Anakin discovers the rabbits auburn fur is silky soft. Intrigued and awed, he pets the rabbit, letting a floppy, velvety ear run through his fingers, and testing that his little, flaring nose is as soft as it looks (it's somehow softer).

The bunny wrestles back to its feet, clearly fed up with Anakin petting him. Anakin decides to help, putting the bunny back on its feet. Since Anakin possesses no impulse control and this bunny just tugs on his heartstrings, he can't resist the urge to tousle the fur on the rabbit's head.

Now, this rabbit was already fed up with Anakin before Anakin stroked all his fur in the wrong direction. And so, the bunny flees. Anakin tries to follow him, but it's rather difficult to follow such a small and slippery animal, so he loses track of the rabbit.

Anakin's first order of business is adding some traffic regulations in the mouse droids' data banks.

Cue Obi-Wan returning to this quarters, his hair sticking up in all imaginable angles and his robes a mess. Anakin has never seen Obi-Wan so disorganized, and they've fought plenty battles together.

And he blames Anakin when Anakin asks aghast what happened to him. This is, of course extremely unfair. Anakin didn't do anything!

Either way, Anakin fixes the mouse droids, but he's still a little worried for this bunny. Like any reasonable person would do, he equips the mouse droids with cameras and tasks them to find the bunny to ensure bunny is fine (adoption is not out of the question).

Meanwhile, Obi-Wan's being hunted by mouse droids (and an Anakin Skywalker hot on their whirring wheels), each time he transforms. We'll blame the need to transform on Obi-Wan's Stewjon heritage (or he was bitten by a feral bunny Qui-Gon picked up during one of their missions. I actually like this option more).

If he doesn't transform at set times, the transformation can kick in at inopportune times, so Obi-Wan's very careful with his schedule. Until Anakin messes it up, of course. By performing a witch hunt on him! Absolutely ridiculous, but he can't confront Anakin directly.

I imagine that he does like Anakin's cuddles, but he'll also want some petty revenge on his former Padawan.

Either way, this plot bunny won't leave me alone, but I really need to work on chapter 14 for DAUNTLESS and I have too many WIPs already.

What I do not get about Soulsborne fandom at all is the urge to do the random old men into creepy weirdos for no reason?

Gwyn is an amazing morally grey character who tried to create an arguably better world but did a lot of shit to accomplish it, he is tragic more than despicable, an early draft of Marika but clinging to his failure system until the very end. He has shown being generous as far as he is able even with species he feared and many people loved him, including his children. He doesn't have any dialogue or cutscene but his theme is the sole most heart-rending piece of music in everything From created and says more than words could about devs' intention behind this character. But people will say that he had to fuck Priscilla to give birth to Gwyndolin when Priscilla was banished into the Painted World as a child! So like, did he have sex with a kid, or predatorily waited for a kid to grow up? But no, he must be Gwyn Lord of Grooming when there are at least two way more canon-palatable explanations for who was second parent of Gwyndolin? Why would he need to keep Priscilla as a sex slave anyways? Are you telling me THIS guy lacked sex partners? The GILF Marika guy lacked sex partners to the point he needed a sex slave? Seriously?

Gehrman is the hunter who has done a lot of shit in his life, affiliated with Byrgenwerth and directly involved in Fishing Hamlet, who cherished the student he took down the dark path of the hunt a lot and got completely crashed after her death, immortalising her soft and innocent side that was ruined in a mourning doll of her. He poured so much warmth into simply caring for her former hair ornament that Doll cried tears of joy holding it - emotions he had hoped Doll would have, whom he distanced from seeing she was only Maria lookalike otherwise acting mechanical and lifeless. But people will say he is a creep who drooled all over Maria from the corners and made a sex doll of her that he also offers US to fuck. 🤦‍♂️ Bonus points for claims of objectification, misogyny and loathing her masculine vibe so much he bastardised her into his tradwife ideal, as if this notion on itself doesn't directly contradict the very fact of training her to be the hunter to begin with. Godrick is straight up the symptom of how wrong things went in this setting, both in the world and in his big family. He is not seen as his own person but only as a disgrace of his cool strong awesome golden ancestors due to being born weak, he got driven out of his rightful place due to internal political contrivances and ran for his life, he adopted the mindset and expectations imposed on him and does everything he can to make himself what he "should" be. There are reasons to pity him, in good or bad sense, but somehow he gets baseless accusations of being a creep/pervert/rapist thrown at him, especially on Reddit? Also random takes about him being a groomer too because of Grafted Scions, when they are literally just his children? Why??? What do people THINK "grafted scion" means? I suppose people have a strange way to look at grafting as a concept, even though Rykard or Warrior Jars like Alexander also make people they've killed parts of their bodies?

She could make even the most unruly of shifters sit down with just a look. The second is David, the only person who's successfully kept them pinned down so that they wouldn't hurt themself further. He never lectured them in those moments. He just held them down and kept them steady. He was like a tether in a storm, for more than just them. The third is their mate. The man that they barely even knew the first time he healed them. When they were barely conscious, arguing with the shadow of a man they knew couldn't possibly be there. A gentle soul with a southern accent they couldn't help poking fun at, even on the edge of going into shock. Calloused hands pressed against their skin, and silver eyes locked on theirs, seeking permission to continue. Something in Tank knowing that if they truly didn't want him to, then he would stop.

The fourth was Gabriel Shaw. Tank knew they were going to be ok when he was there. From the first day their family arrived in Dahlia, they knew that Gabe was safe. When they were in high school and crashed their dirtbike while the pack was camping, Gabe was the first person by their side. He was there before their parents even showed up. He was the one lifting their bike up. He was the one carrying them back to the truck to see how hurt they were. Gabe Shaw, their alpha, the man who promised them they would always have a place in his pack. The man that never forced them to heal with magic, the only one that was content with them taking the long way around because he understood not wanting to deal with the repercussions of intense healing magic.

Darlin now actively seeking healing when they notice a cut on their finger or a bruise on their leg. They're slowly unlearning all the toxic thought processes that used to send them spiraling. I love Pacific Rim so I will never not combine it with my current hyperfixation to make an Pacific Rim Au... Anyway! Wanna hear me talk about a Timebomb, Jayvik, CaitVi, Melvika and Zaundads Pacific Rim AU anyone?????

Part 1 cause this is long as hell.

Jayce and Viktor:

Jayce and Viktor aren't actually Jaeger Pilots in this AU. They're a part of the research team working on understanding the Kaiju and developing ways to defeat them.

Viktor wanted to be a pilot when he was younger, but due to his disability he was never able to successfully pass the tests. So he decided to use his intelligence to aid the fight against the Kaiju.

Jayce passed the tests but was never able to attain a high enough drift compatible score to find a suitable partner. (The highest being with Caitlyn)

Jayce and Viktor meet when Jayce tries to develop a new energy source to power the Jaegers. Hextech.

Viktor is the one who tries to infuse Kaiku DNA with Hextech to cure himself. Immediately regrets it and tries to destroy it.

Jayce uses it anyway after Viktor gets critically injured caught in a Kaiju attack. Also immediately regrets after he used it to save Viktor's life.

This causes Viktor to be influenced by the Kaiju hivemind. Jayce has to pilot a mech solo to stop him.

Caitlyn and Vi:

"Piltover's finest pilots" They're Piltover's power couple (literally)

Caitlyn becomes a Jaeger pilot, despite her mother's wishes. Cait is a universal compatible drift partner, she can drift with literally anyone, which is why she believes that it's her duty to serve as a pilot.

Vi is a former pilot, current criminal imprisoned in Stillwater. She's one of the best pilots from Zuan being as young as she is.

Cait's had multiple different drift partners (including Jayce)

Vi's only had one partner, that being her adopted father: Vander, who retired after a Kaiju attack in Zaun. An attack that Vi believes killed her sister.

Like Jayce, Vi has a hard time drifting with others. Here's where Cait comes in as her partner, after she's released from prison to pilot again.

Wouldn't be Caitvi if they didn't break up at least once, so they do when it's revealed that Vi's sister is alive and is working for Silco.

Ekko and Jinx:

After the sudden attack on Zaun Ekko lost Benzo and tried to find Powder, who he never believed died in the attack. He forms the Firelight with Scar to help people after the attack and to fight against Silco.

Powder Jinx is the one responsible for the Kaiju attack on Zaun. She built a device that mimics the calls of a Kaiju which led to the Kaiju attack on Zaun.

Ekko's drift partner is Scar, the Firelights have two Jaeger's to their name which they use to fight off smaller Kaiju that may attack their home base. The council has tried recruiting the Firelights multiple times, they've always refused and stayed independent.

Jinx isn't drift compatible with anyone. Her mental state makes it dangerous for both her and her drift partner, so Silco has forbidden her from ever piloting a Jaeger (much to her displeasure) She wanted to be a pilot like her sister. So she sticks to help Silco's illegal business and making weapons.

The Firelights and Silco are eventually forced to team up because of more frequent attacks cause of Viktor. With Scar temporarily out of commission, Ekko and Jinx try to drift together. Despite them being extremely drift compatible, the first time they try it all goes to shit.

Backs against the wall and running out of time, they try to drift one more time. It starts off shit, but slowly they start to match each other's rhythm.

"Always a dance with you"

And.... That's the end of part 1!

The next part will be about the divorced dads Silco and Vander and unlikely and reluctant allies Mel and Sevika. I can finally talk about what Silco's "illegal business" is and Vander, Sevika and Mel's role in this AU.

I'm not a 100% caught up on Pacific Rim lore btw. Ntm I wanna mix in some Arcane/LoL lore too... I wanna talk about Zaundads and Melvika first before I actually delve into some world building of this AU.

But for now just know that the Piltover/Zaun struggle is still there... they're working together to stop the Kaiju, but there's still the fact that Piltover is better off and holds power over Zaun.

On a side note if anyone has any ideas or suggestions for what Caitvi and Timebomb's Jaegers should be called please share them as I suck at naming!

Gon and Meruem acted as foils to each other during the chimera ant arc.

Typically, we get to see the main villain and the hero fight, but these two never once met— and yet the way they've been written gave us an interesting dynamic without the need for a meeting.

The monster expressing his humanity,

And the human expressing his monstrosity.

But what if I were to say that the beginning of Meruem's character arc with Komugi parallel's Killua's more than it does Gon's?

Both expressed shock at the other's triumph, shock that they somehow bested them.

How can this normal human who is, by all means, weaker than me, do something so incredible?

Just like how Komugi gives Meruem a new perspective on what strength and worth is, Gon does so for Killua. There is more that goes into an individual's worth than their physical strength. And alongside that, they introduced connection into their lives.

But by the time the chimera ant arc begins, the parallels shift.

Gon is the King.

I believe something a little different and interesting happens here— Killua becomes Pitou, just as much as he is Komugi, and Komugi can also represent what Kite is for Gon.

It's a bit confusing! But let's start from the easy one. Gon-Meruem and Killua-Komugi.

Komugi finds her worth in Meruem. Gungi to them is what nen is to Gon and Killua, something they both advance at together— something they have talent in and share. Komugi believes her worth and life's meaning was meeting Meruem, while she also pulls Meruem into a reasonable reality; she's his voice of reason, forcing him to think objectively without the looming responsibility of being "king".

Killua finds his worth in Gon. He saved him, he lit the path for him to progress in this world and helped turn his past traumas into a source of mental strength. In turn, he's Gon's voice of reason, anchoring him into reality and being there to calm his rage.

Both Killua and Komugi wonder if they're even worth being in their "king's" presence, if they're worth that connection. Is it okay if I stay by your side? Am I even worthy? Despite being such a useless person who can't even begin to shine as brightly as you do?

And the biggest difference is that Meruem's complete obsession is on Komugi, unlike Gon's focus being on Kite.

And here's where the dynamic begins to shift. Meruem grows more gentle, his love more blinding. While Gon grows a little colder, his rage being what blinds him.

Meruem and Komugi went on to do what Killua had wanted to— dying by each other's sides.

Him and Gon though? Their focuses don't match. Gon was completely focused on vengeance, and Killua, who loved him to the point of selflessness, did everything in his power to support his "king."

Like Pitou who put himself in a vulnerable situation to protect someone who is important to the person he loves most.

Killua's biggest fear was Gon losing himself at the knowledge of Kite's death. In the end, he felt completely powerless.

It's a little tragic, in a way. Killua failed to do what both Komugi and Pitou could for their most beloved. He could only save Gon with Alluka's help, and that was all after the worst came to pass.

I also find this page very interesting!!

I don't think Killua ever expected himself to protect something weaker than he is either, at least not at the start of the story. And when he did, he started taking an almost maternal role while protecting those he loves (supporting Gon and practically adopting Alluka).

I love the parallels between them. The things they say and do, their positions and roles, and their feelings— they all match. And in the end, it's the humans who are the most imperfect, failing at so much yet ending up the victors.

But failure is what helps Killua grow.

Meruem, Komugi and Pitou die.

Gon, Kite and Killua survive.

While Gon's mostly back at square one with some new trauma and some suicidal thoughts, Killua's at a stage of his life where he's starting to believe that there is more to his worth and importance than he initially thought, that he can live to protect others while simultaneously living for himself.

Komugi and Meruem had nothing before them in life, but Gon and Killua do. They are more than lovers on their deathbeds.

Star Wars fanfic idea up for adoption

The story is set in the prequels, just as Order 66 is declared. You see, due to the various degrees of separation Palpatine and Dooku had to go through to commission the clones, some details got lost in the paperwork. This includes the Clone Chips, so when Palpatine tries to execute Order 66 the Clones don't actually do it. Unfortunately for the Jedi and Clones, they are spread all across the Galaxy, and not in a position to take Palpatine down, especially after being legally classified as execute-on-sight. Mace and the other would-be Palpatine-Arrestors are dead like in Canon, and Anakin has Fallen.

The Jedi and Clones are forced to flee, the Temple being evacuated by the warning sent by the Clones Vader brought with him to try and take the Temple.

Things are dire for the Jedi. So many Council-Members dead, the Temple abandoned to the depredations of the Sith, and of course the fact that the Republic they've served for so long has turned into a fascist dictatorship that wants them dead.

In such dark times the Jedi need both a method for keeping themselves alive, and a source of happiness. In light of this, and the Jedi's failures, Yoda and the remaining Council-Members are forced to come to a strangely fitting conclusion. Like any navy that suddenly finds itself unemployed with no future ahead of it, the Jedi and Clones become gleefully silly and stereotypical pirates, and retreat to their Homeworld of Tython, since it is out-of-the-way enough to be safe and strong enough in the Light to resist the Galaxy's growing darkness.

"Walk the plank, you shall," Captain-General-Grandmaster Yoda said to the terrified Trade Federation managers.

So begins the Pirate Republic Of Tython.

Teaching herself how to fly. None of the autobots fly, Wheeljack tried his best to help her but unfortunately he wasn’t successful at teaching something he doesn’t know. She had to learn herself, and with a lot of practice (and being a bit of an extremist.) she got it.

14) First time facing their fears

Slipstream isn’t necessarily scared of concepts she is instead more scared of certain people. She is afraid of Megatron most of all. She most of the time stayed out of his way. But When Megatron was going to kill Starscream she couldn’t stand by. She shielded Starscream with her body, this decision could have killed her but instead Megatron spared Starscream. She still got hit but at least her dad is alive, though he probably wished he was dead during the beating. Though she faced Megatron she is still scared.

18) First example of real character growth along their journey

(SMALL RANT. I am very upset on the treatment of Nightshade by both the fandom and the writers, l wont start on my issues with the fandom cause those issues aren’t relevant here. I wanted so desperately for Nightshade to be an actual character, and for season one they were but after that it was just over, no more problems, no more contemplating issues. Unfortunately like most Lgbtq characters, they are turned into a place holder, just a box to check on the pandering list. It seems like now nightshade is just the person with the remote that fixes everything, part of the reason why I like Earthspark Expeditions is Nightshades dialogue when you screw up. Nightshade pull no punches on making you feel bad, which is something that happened to me a lot cause I was really bad at those side quests. But even though they weren’t a playable character they still felt like more then a place holder, that bot can be sassy. And I loved it. But alas, it’s probably too much to expect a company to make actual Lgbtq characters like normal character. Regardless I feel like it is important to include lgbtq characters in media)

ANYWAY!! Nightshade came online and was alone, they saw the decepticons destroying everything/ some decepticons seeing Nightshade as vermin and the Autobots fighting back in a brutal way. They recognized that they were a similar species to the cybertronians but renounce they’re ferocity and brutal ways. Nightshade also learn the hard way that humans aren’t that different either. Feeling alone and confused about the world around them, they decided they would just live solitary. Until that option wasn’t available anymore due to the decepticons. Nightshade left with no better option followed Twitch to the Autobot base. Nightshade was stand-offish and sometimes mean. Throughout they’re adventures they learn that the Autobots are here to protect them and may not be right all the time but are trying. Nightshade connected with Bumblebee, they have many similarities. Nightshade also come to sympathies with some cons as well. Nightshade wants gets inspired to want things to change in peaceful way… there has to be a way.

20) First time they felt accepted/welcomed by another character

Hashtag had to be rescued from a M.E.C.H base. Being forced to fight both autobots and decepticons, She was very confused, aggressive and didn’t really know anything. She did know the bots she had an emotional connection with were apart of her in some ways and could be trusted. She didn’t really like humans either, so when Thrash took all the Terrans back to the Malto home she stay around the woods near their home.

It took lots of time but the Terrans as a collective brought her out of her shell and made her feel safe. They told her that technically she was the reason they all were together now. They may have never met if she didn’t call to them.

21) First major change in their life, and how they dealt with it

Jawbreaker leaving the decepticons. He had too. He needed to go find what was calling to him. But that wasn’t the only reason. He knew Megatron is wrong, maybe he was right a long time ago but now it’s wrong. Jb barely understands anything about the War but he has seen people get hurt, he’s been hurt.

Jb took a risk and left without looking back. He mostly keeps to himself about his decision but sometimes struggles with it and wants to go back. He’s not dealing with it too good, but he’s got his siblings to lean on when he needs it. He just hopes those he left behind are doing ok.

D) First kiss

After a couple of dates and Jazz egging Prowl on. Prowl went to kiss him, unfortunately there was more then his nerves getting in the way.

i have no plans for the witnesses just yet so they've been left out, but my mura's relationships look something like this! i know this question is about shipping but i have quite a bit to say about their dynamics with everyone really,

i'll go a little more in depth on all of these under the cut for anyone interested!

i'll just start on top with ramzi and go clockwise :3

Ramzi: Shamura's first true romantic interest, being the God of War didn't allow for them to spend much time thinking of romance, if they'd considered the thought at all previously. Their romance is slow and awkward at first, but as the first bishop to marry Ramzi I'd say they got their act together pretty quickly! They adopted Webber as their child a short time after their union :3

Narinder: The tensest of the familial relationships they maintain, Nari still blames his siblings (mainly Shamura) for his imprisonment. Shamura is willing to admit fault, Narinder is not, causing them to butt heads occasionally. They have an eternity to work it out and they still have their soft moments, with time they'll put the pieces together. They're on the road to mending their bond, but they need a mediator still to keep things civil

Hazel: One of Ramzi's first disciples, assigned to Shamura's library and is essentially their personal assistant! He is, unfortunately, dumb as a box of rocks when it comes to his own emotions and relationships. Has an intense pining for Shamura, and with Mura's lack of experience and forgetfulness, they don't catch on to Hazel's feelings for a while...

Kallamar: Their closest familial bond, Kallamar feels the safest when Shamura is nearby, and is incredibly protective over them. He still acts as their primary doctor, though his new nurse (another disciple of Ramzi's) has also been trained on how to care for their needs. They spend most of their free time together, he even attends Shamura's book readings for the cult children to provide another voice for their stories or just to listen to them read.

Faustus: The large goat seemingly has nothing in common with Ramzi, but Shamura saw a strange similarity between them that seemed to draw them in. Faustus was wary at first, his own bishops in his world being cruel and uncaring to his followers and even himself, though Shamura's kindly personality disarmed his cautious attitude rather quickly. Thankfully their romance went a lot smoother than Shamura's initial trysts with Ramzi, even if they both bumbled their way into the situation to begin with.

Heket: Her loyalty to her sibling is unmatched, Heket is still Shamura's staunchest defender. She wants to act as their bodyguard, despite their urging for her to embrace their mortal forms and enjoy the new lives they've been given. Shamura's admittance of guilt and regret rattled her at first, making her reconsider everything they'd done previously- but she's beginning to relax. Shamura is quick to remind the lamb to be patient with her, she had been taken into the old faith as a bishop early on in life, it was all she had ever known after all.

Sozo: I should preface that while I do enjoy the Sozo/Shamura ship- my characterizations of them would not get along! Shamura may have softened over time, but their prey drive may never leave them. Some followers trigger it more than others, and while they are disciplined and would never actually make a move against Sozo- he recognizes those hungry looks they give him. Sozo is, frankly, absolutely terrified of Shamura. Ramzi has tried to ease tensions between them before, though trying to force an ant and a spider to be friends was (unsurprisingly) not successful...

Leshy: The youngest of the old faith, and the fastest to adjust to life in Ramzi's cult, Shamura was surprised by how quickly Leshy came around. By the time they'd been resurrected and brought into the grounds, he was fully comfortable there. Over protective and paranoid at first, Leshy was instrumental in helping them acclimate to mortal life. He spends quite a bit of time helping them weave, and Shamura loves every moment spent with their younger brother (even if they have to stop him from flossing his teeth with their silk occasionally,)

Y'know how Shedletsky never really told the Player to go yoink the Icedagger? Welp, I say he never actually wanted them to go hunt it down. If they had just gone back to him after beating the absolutely SHIT out of Red n Blue, he probably would just told them to go warn the Sword Holders to be a bit more cautious. After the Player came back with the Icedagger, he got the grand idea to just have them get the rest.

🍯🐝 anon's "1x and Mayor Thaniyel are husbands and their kids are G666, Pest, and Griefer/Brad" headcanon (I saw a post a hot minute ago on this and instantly yoinked it, I've just been waiting for someone else to mention I because I didn't create it)

Griefer is adopted, he showed up on the doorstep of wherever sixteen year old Thaniyel lived

Mayor Monty was the one who technically named Griefer as Mayor Thaniyel almost instantly called him because he don't know how to raise a kid (I headcanon to two grew up kinda together)

Did someone say trauma? Yea, I think someone did cause the Player's parents are six feet under, and they're just barely seventeen (we love trauma)

There's a curse/blessing (depends on how you see it) on the Thaniyel last name. Basically whenever anyone with said last name dies, they either: turn into a plant or toxic/poison enemies we see in demo 2 (example: the Toxic Spearman)

That being said, Mayor Thaniyel genuinely thought his kid died the moment Griefer had stabbed himself with the Venomshank and turned in the Bubonic Plant

After defeating the Isolations within the Player's mind, the four of them were forced to be apart of them in a physical way more than mentally

BODY HORROR WARNING (kinda)

Greed essentially forced their limbs (arms, legs, fingers, and neck) to stretch to be a fourth bigger than the original size of each thing Solitude made their eyes noticeable more sunken in as well as forcing their pupils to be either extremely small or ungodly dialated, there is no in-between, and shifting the color to be more of a blue, not a natural one though, an endless void kinda blue. The Player's hair also grows at a much faster rate than before. Fear made their bone structure both thicker and much MUCH more visible. Y'know the tiny little lines protruding out of Fear's body? The Player's ribcage also has that, as in smaller bones forcibly grew out of the sides of their already existing ribs. These all are affecting their ability to breathe properly Hatred did the absolute least out of all the Isolations, all it did was heavily tint the Player's hands and wherever their veins are a very deep shade of red, it is especially noticable on their neck. Now, even though this is the most tame (get it, cause Hatred was the only one we tamed) of all the physical properties, it still is a problem as it basically shows off where all of their veins are, like the ones that basically guarantee death if cut (example: the jugular vein). The Player's ability to speak clearly a majority of the times was also traded out for the ability to "purr," I say it like that because it sounds like a very intense fire and someone having a hard time breathing at the same time.

All of those "adjustments" made them about three to five inches taller and none of them can be undone, it's all permanent.

Out of all the SFoTH, the Ghostwalker is the only one they would keep, not because they want to, but because they don't want anyone to feel what they had to (omg its the Player's first and maybe last selfless act that I'll mention)

Terry can fall asleep on command whenever he wants

I present my Marauders Bridgerton au (it's very long)

So Alphard adopted the Black cousins and the Rosiers for this. They all live together in little regency era Britain. Super rich, Alphard is the Viscount Black after his sister and brother "mysteriously died. So he adopted his nieces and nephews and his nieces cousins.

Bellatrix is Anthony in this and is the heir to the Black name (cause screw only sons being heirs in this). She is finally strongly suggested by Alphard to find a partner. Eventually, she decides to marry the most eligible bachelor, Rabastan Lestrange. They get along but despises his older brother, Rodolphus. And as the story goes with Kate and Anthony, Bellatrix and Rodolphus end up falling in love and getting married instead.

Andromeda is Benedict in this and meets her love at a masquerade ball. Mets a lovely man and falls in love. Yet, he runs away at midnight and she spends the next two years searching for him. Ted, who is Sophie in this, is the bastard son of an Earl and is forced to work and slave away for his step mother and step sisters. Eventually, the two smile it back together, fall in love, and get married, saving Ted from his family.

Narcissa is Colin in this and Alice is Penelope. They've known each other forever and Alice has always been crushing on Narcissa. The two families are close yet Narcissa never thinks of her that way really. Alice is tired of living under her mother's foot and decides to take this season into her own hands. And of course, Narcissa and Alice fall in love and get married. (Lady Whistledown can be there or not)

Sirius is Daphne in this and has always dreamed of marrying for love, despite his poor experiences with his mother and father. But, something happens and he is suddenly put very low in the eyes of everyone else. Enter Duke Remus, who wants nothing more than to never marry and spite his father. They make a plan to use each other by faking interest and love. Eventually it turns to real love, along with miscommunication and marriage, but a happy ending.

Regulus is Eloise in this and despises society. Hates the parading around and the season in general. After getting a letter of an old friend's death, he writes to her husband and child for his condolences. This starts a penpal of sorts until the widow, James, proposes. Regulus takes off to the country to meet James and neither are what the other expected. Plus, James' child, Harry, is a little terror. Yet they work it out of the course of many months, eventually falling in love and getting married.

Evan is Francesca in this and gets married to one Jane Crouch, who he loves very much. Both him and Jane are close to her cousin, Barty. What they don't know is Barty also had a crush on Evan. Jane unexpectedly passed and Barty disappears, leaving Evan alone for 2 years. Until he comes back. The two slowly fall in love and get married.

Pandora is Gregory in this and meets one Emmeline Vance. Emmeline is arranged to marry someone and seen as plain and average while her friend, Mary, is seen as beautiful and gorgeous. Emmeline agrees to help Pandora woo Mary but they end up falling in love themselves. Pandora crashed Emmeline wedding and they confess their love, eventually get married themselves instead.

Finally, Felix is Hyacinth. Only a baby when he and the other were adopted, he never knew his parents other than Alphard. He ends up finding an old journal and thinks it might be his parents. He wants to learn about them but the journal is written in dragonic. So he finds out that one of the Weasley sons, Charlie, knows the language. He finds him and the two work to translate the journal. They end up falling in love and getting married.

This was long but it's been on my mind and I've been procrastinating cause stuff came up. Anyway, glad I got it out here lol <3
