The cult of...Danny Fenton?

So! Way back when Danny first moved into his new neighborhood in Gotham, he had some trouble controlling his Powers. The different Types and Levels of Ectoplasm in the air when compared to Amity had thrown off his control.

He was used to being in places where his Ectoplasm meshed well with the Atmosphere, like a Water Balloon in a Pool, but in Gotham that analogy would be closer to a Water Balloon in the sewers. It was too different from what he was used to to fully control his Powers.

So it's understandable that he messed up a few times and his neighbors found out about his Abilities.

They took it well at first, Danny wasn't going to go Rogues or anything, and he never used them maliciously, but eventually they got curious.

They asked what his limits were, how he got them in the first place, and what the hell the Ghost Zone was. The answers "None Really", "I died and was reborn", and "A Collective of every Afterlife at once" did spark some interesting reactions from them.

Most importantly, a few of them joked about him being an Eldritch God that they needed to worship. He was good enough friends with them that at that point they felt comfortable pranking eachother, so they did just that.

Danny woke up one day on his birthday, and saw all of his friends and neighbors surrounding the makeshift Throne they had made and put him on while he was asleep. The entire day they chanted stuff like "The Great One requires Ms. Smiths Apple Pie for his day of birth!" And "The Great One Wishes for us to sing the Ritual Song! Happy Birthday to You! Happy Birth-"

After his birthday, they kept up the joke.

It didn't help that his powers had evolved Again! And now he could bestow abilities onto his friends. The jokes they made about their God granting them Supernatural Powers to rule the world with were insufferable.

Then, one day while he was just resting at home, watching a movie on his TV, he felt a Pull at his Core. The same kind of Pull whenever he was being summoned. But why would they summon hi- Oh Shit! It's Mr Jenkins Party today! He was supposed to meet them at the Warehouse they used for special events an Hour Ago!

He quickly accepted the Summoning, but was met with a suprising sight. His Neighbors all tied up in a pile to his right, a spilled table of party food to his left, and right in front of him, Batman and his Family watching him with wary eyes.

Slowly, he opened his mouth. "...so, did you come for the party or..."

i'm really so curious how deeply tbhx is gonna go with its whole premise of "heroes are made and gain powers based on trust" because i really wasn't anticipating that

1) moon/xiao yueqing has teleportation-based powers but because everyone wants her and nice to stick together, her teleportation leads back to nice which was INSANE to me

and

2) lin ling is becoming increasingly more worried about being clean and perfect which is a side effect of nice's image of perfection which is indicating that this whole trust system can have mental effects??? and that's horrifying to me???

Made this post (also this) about Steve and Robin being suspicious that their new coworker - Eddie - is a spy, and it’d be really funny if he was.

Just not for the US government.

He was off-base when the mall exploded and - he assumed - presumed dead by the Russian government so he just…assimilated? Continued living his secret identity’s life?

Edward Munson is a real person.

He’s a kid living with a foster family in Nebraska. His dad is in prison and he hadn’t seen his uncle since he was three years old. It was an easy identity to steal and an easy story to feed Wayne.

No one looked too hard at it, Eddie was exactly what they thought he’d be.

He was the only spy on base that could do a convincing American accent and looked young enough to pass for a high school student.

He was supposed to be gathering evidence, supposed to get close to the other kid. He was supposed to find the little girl but none of that ever really happened.

And then the base blew up.

Now he’s working a part-time job at the video rental, stocking shelves while his coworkers loudly discuss if he’s a spy. They’re arguing on if the US government would recruit teenagers (no) or raise spies from birth (also no), and then Steve says, “Don’t worry. I’ll figure it out.”

Robin sounds completely done with him, “Having sex with someone does not prove they’re not a spy. Don’t sleep with him!”

“It’s a full-proof plan,” Steve says and then yells, “Hey, Eddie!”

And well…

Eddie was never a good spy anyways.

Say no to this, Bruce.

A few days ago Bruce had a fight with his sons, now he doesn't even remember why, it was probably something stupid that escalated and he didn't know how to stop it, it was probably his fault.

He was alone at the mansion, Damian was at Dick's house, Jason was ignoring him more than usual and Tim was on a case where he didn't want help, not from him at least, even Duke was away, it wasn't a good week for Bruce.

He grabbed a phone he had hidden and only took out before going to sleep alone in his room, hesitated for a few seconds and sent a message to the only number added.

His "thing" with the boy, Danny Fenton, had started four years ago, the boy was lost and Bruce found him when he coincidentally went for a walk as a civilian.

Danny was so charmed by Bruce (for some reason) that he gave him his hotel room number to keep talking about the universe, and later his home number.

Danny was a good, funny and witty kid, a very smart too, with parents who didn't deserve him because they didn't notice their son's brilliance.

Danny was a good boy with a not-so-good life, a strong, independent boy who wasn't always positive but didn't always let himself fall apart.

That's why when Danny answered his message with a call with him crying and asking for help, he could only go to his rescue without looking back, barely remembering to tell Alfred of his departure.

When he arrived he found only tragedy.

His family and friends had died, an explosion at an unfortunate time, Danny had no one in the world besides his godfather and Bruce, and he didn't want to fall into Vlad's clutches, so he was desperate.

He also told him about Phantom, and Bruce could only hug him and promise him that no one was going to find him.

The first thing that came to his mind was to take him to his mansion, Danny was like his son, it was the most logical action... except that Danny still looked up to him and trusted him a lot, and wasn't that a scary thought?

Bringing Danny to the mansion would involve many things, Danny would meet his children, which might make Danny see him differently, goodbye to his admiration and affection, goodbye to spending time "together" watching bad movies to criticize them, goodbye to quiet conversations and asking for advice, goodbye to trust.

Bringing Danny to the mansion would mean having him physically close but keeping him away in every other possible way.

"Danny doesn't want anyone else to know about Phantom." Bruce repeated to himself as he took Danny to a small, hidden apartment in Gotham, a cozy little place where Vlad wouldn't find Danny (and neither would Bruce's family).

au where james and regulus get together after regulus has taken the dark mark and james knows about it.

this is usually the breakup period but i’ve had this fic idea for a while where regulus knew about the werewolf and animagus thing and the marauders knew about him being a death eater (mutually assured destruction if either of them went to any authority). essentially there’s something that they have to work on together (a common enemy) and this is happening in regulus’s sixth year. sirius physically can’t stand to be with regulus too much and remus gets super self conscious as well because of the werewolf thing. peter is intimated by him in general.

so that mostly leaves james to handle regulus. they’re both Horrible to each other. they are constantly arguing and fighting until one day they come to an agreement that they need to put their differences aside to be able to work on their mission (the more efficient they are, the sooner they’ll be out of each other’s lives). they still don’t like each other but they start treating each other like some sort of clean slate acquaintances and eventually fall for each other without ever intending to.

the thing with this is that everything is out there in the open, no secrets between them whatsoever. they know and have seen each other’s worst selves but they still end up falling in love (it was inevitable). they’re not going to get together and be bfs or anything, at most they’ll maybe kiss but that’s it for the hogwarts part of the fic (and that’s even more beautiful to me because all they did was spend some time together but that was enough to absolutely crush them at the prospect of being apart). their relationship would begin during the horcrux hunting part of this au (on that note, i also plan for the horcrux hunting to be a group effort like it was with the golden trio instead of regulus doing it all alone).
