Hello! If you are open to questions and have time to answer my questions than do you imagine your twst Jasmine as Kalim's cousin or relative? Cause since Kalim is based out of Jasmine's father, I was wondering if you think that both of them have some sort of connection in your world.

I honestly think they are related! In the Canon of the fic I wrote, absolutely.

In Twist Canon, possibly, I think there's a voice line saying Kalim is related to Royalty

Between the Stitch event and the new birthday series, it looks like Disney’s swerving into promoting its classic animated franchises this year 🤔 It’s definitely a lot more… “in-your-face” than it has been in previous years (Yuu’s prophetic dreams aside). We so rarely got to see Disney characters’ faces outside of dreams and the G7 statues… Now we have paintings of Iago, Zazu, Jasmine, Aladdin, etc. (which is funny, because Aladdin and Jasmine were previously featured in a furniture item exclusively turned AWAY from the player’s camera so their faces couldn’t be seen).

TWST had always made Disney references and taken deep inspiration from Disney materials, but it always felt disconnected and like it was its own thing too. The references were there (most definitely in the world’s history), but not always so blatant. For example, players would make a game of finding mickey head shapes in Groovy illustrations (which is a fun easter egg!). Here is an example with a random card:

… Anyway, is it just me or does the M*ckey Mouse wand for Platinum Jackets look kinda goofy (like, even more goofy than the pies from the Birthday Jacket line) 😂 It’s like the boys literally waltzed into a Disney theme park and bought one at an absurd price to whack each other with for funsies…

(Sorry if the ending is unsatisfying, I couldn't find a good way to end it)

"You can do this, (Y/N)!" Kalim whisper-yelled, giving you encouragement. "And remember! If you need back up, we're right behind you!"

The plan was quite simple. You enter the main building of Scarabia dorm as bait, everyone else is hiding behind cover, unnoticed by Jamil. Jamil attempts to use Snake Charmer on you, but it is counteracted by Floyd casting Bind The Heart just a second before. You act as if you're being mind controlled, doing whatever Jamil asks you to. While Jamil is distracted, Kalim will use Oasis Maker to flood the dorm, getting the rest of the mind controlled students out of there. And by the time Jamil realizes something is wrong, the six of you are already attacking him.

Yes, this plan is very similar to the one you pulled off earlier, when Azul was pretending to be mind controlled... but the beauty of using basically the same plan twice is that Jamil will obviously think "There's no way they're dumb enough to do the same thing twice."

You're the crux of the plan.

But there's a sinking feeling in your gut... something in the back of your mind telling you this isn't going to end well.

As Jamil was praised by his subjects, you made yourself known. You didn't have to do much to make yourself known, though, you stuck out like a sore thumb among the black and red the rest of the Scarabia students were wearing- the outfit you were wearing was a short blue dress, and a crown of jasmine flowers on your head. Kalim made it for you with his magic, and though you appreciated the effort, it felt embarrassing to stand out this much.

"(Y/N), is that you? Jamil asked. What good timing you have, we were just about to begin our celebration. And thank you ever so much for allowing me to become king of Scarabia. I'm more competent than Kalim ever was, this is truly better for everyone."

"Yes, it is, Jamil." You responded, already trying to get him to gain your trust.

"(Y/N), come closer." Jamil told you. You did as asked. "The one you behold is your master. You shall answer when you are asked, and you shall obey when you are ordered."

With that, the plan was fully set in motion.

Maybe that feeling you had was wrong. Maybe everything would turn out well!

"Just so you know, (Y/N)... I'm aware your pathetic friends are here." Jamil told you. Everyone was carried out of their hiding spots by the possessed Scarabia students. "It seems I was careless, allowing all of you to keep your magic pens. Though I am surprised Kalim's party trick was useful for something other than filling a pool."

The possessed Scarabia students stole everyone's magic pens, and the staffs of Kalim and Azul, making sure none of them could use magic. And yet again, Jamil shot everybody away from here, to the edge of the desert as he did before. Everyone except for you.

"Now (Y/N)... Snake Charmer." Jamil whispered to you.

It was an indescribable pain in your head.

"(Y/N), tell me. Who is your master?"

"My master... is..." You couldn't bare the throbbing pain in your head. And then, all at once, it subsided. It was like a wave of static washed over you. Your mind was no longer your own. "My master is you, Jamil."

"Praise me."

"Your greatness knows no bounds, master Jamil. You are fit to rule Scarabia, you are fit to even rule the Land of Scalding Sands. You are a perfect leader. You excel in every class you have. Your unique magic is much more powerful than anyone else's."

"A king needs his queen, and that will be you, (Y/N)." Jamil told you. "Kiss me."

Without hesitation, you did exactly as Jamil commanded.

He enjoyed it.

You could feel his weird hair snakes sinking their fangs into you.

...

They won't be able to get back.

It was freezing at the edge of the desert, the river Kalim made has probably frozen over by now.

And without his golden cobra staff, you doubt he'd be able to use Oasis Maker again.

The only way for them to get back would be to walk.

With how long a walk it will be, Kalim will certainly freeze to death.

And Azul, Jade, Floyd, and Grim will shortly after. Even though those four have some natural resistance to the cold, they aren't completely invulnerable...

Maybe Ace and Deuce could get here in time, but you're not sure if they even saw your message.

What can you do?

What can you do to get yourself out of this situation?

Well... it seems nothing.

You very well can't get out of Jamil's mind control on your own, not unless he deactivates it, and let's be real- that isn't happening any time soon.

Twst boys x Disney princesses

In which some of the Disney princesses somehow end up in Twst in place of Yuu and are hanging out with the boys. They are all rooming in Ramshackle together. The only context you need is that it is 1am when I thought of and started typing this.

Belle is the one that gets the title of Beast Master slapped onto her. All the beast men students latch onto her. They all get along with her and want to keep her happy. Leona taking residence on her lap while she finds a nice reading spot in the botanical garden is a common sight.

Ariel, much to everyone's regret for not keeping them separated, gets along well with Floyd. They in a weird way match each other's energy. Ariel is so excited and willing to jump into anything to explore this strange new world, and Floyd loves seeing her reactions to things. He thinks it's hilarious.

Merida and Rook archery contest. They're both so good though that no one can judge their matches. It's now escalated to shooting random stuff near each other to show off. Rook will be eating an apple and Merida will shoot it out of his hand from a balcony somewhere, he can't even see her. No one wants to hang out with them.

Jasmine, like the Scarabia boys, always has a sweater with her uniform. Because compared to the desert, NRC is freezing. Shes very fond of Kalim, because he reminds her of her dad, and Scarabia looks like her home. So she's usually hanging around them. Jamil and Kalim note that the carpet really likes Jasmine and listens to her.

Vil did not initially want to be around Snow White, because she is basically a girl Neige. But one day she asks sort of shyly if she had done anything to him, and if so she was very sorry. The poor thing was so genuinely upset, that Vil felt bad and stopped avoiding her.

Cater saw Anna doing her thing where she jumps in front of portraits and matches them. They took so many pictures and it became a new trend/challenge on Magicam.

Aroura is always hanging around the Diasomnia gang. It reminds her of being with her aunt's and helps the home sickness. She watches over Silver when he passes out.

Cinderella gets along with Trein. At first she was unsure, because he is a lot like her stepmother. But upon seeing that Trein is very nice, they got along very well. Trein is fond of her and says she reminds him of his daughters.

Tiana and Ruggie are friends. They both took on jobs at Mostro Lounge and clicked. Ruggie shows her all the recipes his grandma uses, Tiana uses him as a taste tester. Granny Bucchi adores her.

Aroura and Belle are the ones that go out of their way to befriend Malleus. All the princesses are nice to him, don't get me wrong. But those two are his friends.

Snow White likes to bake with Trey. Her apple pies were a bif hit at the next tea party.

Cinderella keeps Grim in line. She will grab him by the scruff of his neck, and go, "What do you have? Drop it. Come on, I said drop it." Or if he won't listen to anyone else, they get her. "Grim, come here!" Cinderella has also befriended all the mice and rats in Ramshackle. She made them sweaters and everything.

Some of the princesses have taken on small jobs around campus. Tiana cooks and packs hot lunches to sell. Ariel will sometimes be a lounge singer for Mostro Lounge. Belle will help out the librarian.

So now that Im practically free, I decided to work on my Prince Charming Au and other fic projects— mainly Prince Charming au-

I placed the Little Mermaid one on hold since Ive been on writers block on how to proceed with it (Sorry Azul simps) but continuing with that later I decided to atleast start working on Prince Ali of Ababwa (Jamil's story).

And thus began my revisit to Aladdin, both live action and animated film to get the feel of both perspectives.

Ngl tho the live action was pretty boring. I mean it had more action obvi but for the most part I almost slept thru. But HOT DAMN Will Smith (the genie's actor) was the whole star of the show.

As for the animated film— lmao okay lemme explain—

I managed to ask my friends to join me in watching Aladdin while playing a game of: "Take a shot everytime this possibly 30 yr old man trying to seduce an underage princess"

Jasmine in the animated film was confirmed underage btw look it up. SHES 15-

But oh boy. We did a total of 10 shots. 10 god forsaken shots.

Note: If you saw the WIP of this drawing, I did lighten TWST!Jasmines skin tone so that she matched Kalim a little bit better. They are siblings so I didn’t want their skin tones to be super far off, but Jazz does have a warmer complexion so her skin is a little darker. Amir has the darkest complexion b/c I imagine he’s almost always outside so he’s got a bit of a tan going.

Regarding the great seven, did they win in Twisted Wonderland? Like, for example, did Jafar became sultan and the current royal family of the Scalding Sands are his descendants? Did Aladdin die because of him?

No, that's (largely) not the case! Twisted Wonderland is simply a world in which the characters we know of irl as villains that did heinous stuff are just viewed in Twisted Wonderland as historical figures who contributed greatly to society. It's no different than how we may study our own historical figures and their accomplishments in social studies/history class.

While we do hear stories about the Great Seven and their powers, we rarely hear stories which would imply they somehow "won" in the end as opposed to the heroes. For example, Jasmine and Aladdin are implied to still very much be in love, as Jamil tells the tale of a street rat that married a princess. (If Jafar had "won", wouldn't he have been the one to marry the princess?) However, there ALSO exists a tale concurrent to that one in which we're told the Sorcerer of the Sands revealed that someone had lied about their social standing to trick a princess. There are no indications that these two stories are one and the same, so in the world of TWST it seems they're two separate instances that both draw inspiration from Aladdin. There are also no indications (ever) of the Disney heroes dying because of the Great Seven. In fact, it seems like many of them still got their original happy endings. (ADDENDUM: as a commenter pointed out, it’s also possible that multiple tales or versions of the tale came from the same initial story, something which happens irl as well.) Similarly, we know that the mermaid princess married a human prince, thus alleviating tensions between merfolk and humans with their union. This would not have been possible if Ursula had "won", as that would mean that Ariel would have reverted back to being a mermaid (or that little squishy thing Ursula has a garden of) and would "belong" to the Sea Witch forever. Ariel wouldn't have been able to stay on land and marry Eric in that state. Furthermore, Ursula may have gone on to become Queen of the Seas if Triton still intervened to save his daughter... but then why is Triton still honored as King of the Seas in the Atlantica Memorial Museum in book 3?

There are a few instances I can think of which would imply the villain "won", the main one being that Scar ruled the Pridelands as a wise and benevolent king (which is not true of The Lion King movie). I don't consider this Scar "winning", but more like... a twisted or exaggerated retelling of the actual event. For the villain to "win", that would also imply the heroes are gone or in a position to not stop them, right? Yet there are zero mentions of Mufasa or Simba being out of the picture, or even of Scar banishing family members that opposed his rule.

This all points to there being an alternate telling of history in TWST; it seems that the "evil" deeds of the Great Seven were censored and/or retold in such a way to paint them in a beneficial light, since the deeds of the traditional heroes also exist and are also considered true in Twisted Wonderland's history. (For example, Scar letting the hyenas into the Pridelands is reframed as a good thing, since he promoted the integration of a previously marginalized group into the country; Ursula is actually believed to have "mended all her ways" rather than it being a lie to deceive others.) Lilia even specifically mentions that it's possible to "change" history just by telling it a certain way.

On a related note, it seems that this year's birthday series (Platinum Jacket) will delve more into TWST's history and how the NRC boys feel or think about various classic Disney characters. I'm really looking forward to seeing how those expand the lore~
