Do you have a character from another random fandom that you could dedicate a whole side blog to, you love them so much?
Thank you for the ask! I am sorry it took me a while to get to it!
It depends on my hyperfixation of the day, lol. But I think my go to, besides Zach and Wild Kratts of course, lol, would be the Joker. I mean…Joker in my username comes from the character of the Joker after all!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
My favorite versions of the Joker are Arthur Fleck from Joker 2019, Heath Ledger’s Joker, and the Young Justice TV Series Joker. I actually have a crossover AU with Joker 2019 and Young Justice where Arthur Fleck and the Young Justice Joker are the same person, but I’ve been hesitant to share the details of it because it’s a lot…it involves a whole new self insert, complicated family relationships, fan kids, ancient curses, just a lot, haha.
So…I’ve actually thought of making a Joker centered side blog in which I could analyze the Joker’s character, do screenshot dumps, and post stuff about the Revolution AU, as I call it, separate from this blog, because with the character of the Joker, the subject matter would naturally be darker/more mature.
I may do it at some point in the future, because there’s just something about the Joker and my fascination with him, but for now I’m happy with the chaos that is this blog!

What’s in a cape, but the hopes and dreams of the one who bears it?
What’s in a cape, but shelter and warmth for those that receive its protection?
What’s in a hero suit, but a person that’s determined to die in it?
——
Long before Danny Phantom died in his hazmat suit, Bruce Wayne donned his cowl to dive between Gotham and the bullets with faces engraved on them. His cape began to signify fear, for those that harmed Gotham knowingly. But for the rest, it became a sign of protection, of promised vengeance against the crime committed.
And for a select few, the cape was a shelter during cold and rainy patrols. For Tim Drake, the third Robin, it was a warmth he’d never experience past those moments.
When Danny Fenton became Danny Phantom, he’d had wanted to have a cape like the crusader.
Danny wasn’t sure if he wanted to shelter or be sheltered.
But eventually, as things escalated and Danny found himself with less time for normal, personal things, that wish shuddered to an ember. After all, Danny had learned that he doesn’t get the luxury of protection. Not anymore. Which meant he had to be the one doing the protecting. A thousand miles away, as Danny came to terms with it on a clear Amity night, Robin was huddled beneath Batman’s cape to shelter from the pelting rain that came often with Gotham’s gloom.
When Danny got pulled along, invisible and attached to Robin’s side as the vigilante got thrown into a prison, he witnessed Robin talk to his evil older Batman self.
He’s visible again before he knew it, startling the two versions of Robins. Ice slammed into the Robin that became Batman as memories rung through Danny’s head. Where Robin was, stood himself. Where the Evil Robin Batman laid on the floor, covered in glowing ice, was Dan.
Danny died, and became a hero. He just had the unfortunate luck to live to see himself become the villain.
He would never allow Robin to go through it alone, not when Danny had his family and friends to fall back on. Robin, in this cage, ripped away from his team and in the midst of an argument with Batman, was painfully so.
“I’m Phantom.” Danny introduced himself. “Looked like you were in a bit of a spot. I’m sorry for butting in, if you wanted to take care of him yourself.”
“Robin.” Robin was wary. That’s okay. “How are you here?”
“That one’s on you, actually.” Danny glanced around. “Let’s get out of here before edgy future you wakes up. The ice won’t melt, and it’ll be hard to break, but I honestly don’t want to stick around for him to wake up.”
“Can you move him?” Robin eyed their cell contemplatively.
“Sure.”
——
“That seemed personal, earlier.”
Danny nodded. “Yeah. Had the displeasure of meeting an alternate evil version of myself that lost everyone I loved. Kind of hit a sore spot there.”
“…right.”
“No worries, you’re good. My friends and family promised to stay away from explosive sauce.”
“That’s good. So… where do you live?”
“Wouldn’t you like to know, weather boy?” Danny somersaulted in space next to Robin’s jerryrigged space ship. “Anyways, we’re friends now, so I’ll make sure you don’t live to see yourself become a villain.”
“See, that sounded like a threat.”
“It’s not! I don’t kill! And besides, if you were dead, you’d probably be a ghost, and you’d kick my ass for killing you!”
“Are you implying you’re dead?”
“Not an implication. I’m dead. Kind of. Half. I’m still breathing even if I kind of don’t need to. So, where are your friends?”
Danny will be damned before he let his new friends die in their suits, even if they make the job incredibly hard for him. After all, there’s only room for one dead hero on the team, and that’s him.

Joker:" All it takes is just one bad day." Doof:" A day? It had been my life since birth. But look at me as a great father and beloved villain."
Robin in the background:" And that is why we and the other heroes Like Doof More, he is at least a funny villain you can fight. And a good person in general."
It's true; Doof invited the young Justice group to a BBQ, and Batman was totally okay with them going.

The Jokers and the Riddlers gotta have yard fights...water balloons, snowballs, maybe even suspiciously bomb-shaped objects..

As if the people they actually lived with weren't bad enough.

This may have already been discussed, but I just rewatched 10 things I Hate About You, and I noticed something...
Tumblr media
Which made me think of Young Justice, which came out in 2010.
Tumblr media
Just imagining Dick Grayson pleading with Bruce to watch 10 Things I Hate About You every night

For the opinion rating: I'm sick of Jason Todd's character being so tied down to the joker, same with batgirl to a degree
strongly agree | agree | neutral | disagree | strongly disagree
I've said it before but I'll say it again if you think Joker as an individual person is important to Jason you misunderstood utrh Joker is important as far as he happened to be the person who killed Jason I do feel babs gets it slightly better just bc unlike Jason a huge chunk of her driving force hasn't been rerooted into revolving around the clown but that might also be bc of the weird cononicity of the killing joke

Aren’t they wonderful….I think mischievous dark haired guys better fits the bill (because some are brunettes), but…..yessssss. I have a problem when it comes to them….obviously.
Fun fact, Zach’s still my love, but Arthur Fleck has a strong hold on me right now…I’ve watched Joker three times this past week. After reeling from trauma caused by the former irl crush, I’ve gravitated toward Arthur again.

So I just read how Cass’s backstory in young justice is that she was raised by Shiva in the league of shadows (not too different from her comic origins) and her first mission was to kill the joker for essentially inconveniencing the Light (cool but different)
…. But this mission gets derailed because the bat’s bust in on the Joker’s scheme (as uge) and while chaos is occurring Cass goes in for the Joker killing blow… and gets inturpted because Barbra pushes him out of the way??? AND THIS RESULT IN BARBRA’S SPINAL CORD BEING SLICED AND HER BECOMING PARALYZED??!??!?!
Young Justice WHY
WHY would you do that to my sister Cassandra??? I get wanting to make Barbra Oracle (and while Batgirl Babs is awesome, badass, and formidable asf… Oracle Babs is in a league of her own) but WHY change the story and make CASSANDRA the one responsible for paralyzing her? AND TO SAVE THE JOKER WHO PROBABLY WENT ON TO KILL JASON AFTER THIS???
No, absolutely not. I refuse and reject this iteration of backstory. Cass and Babs 10000% deserve better than that.
