It's incredible the amount of plot holes in Danny Phantom that are easily fixed if only the plot were a little darker.

Like Tucker's fear of hospitals and doctors from Doctor's Disorders, for example.

To be precise, the fact that Danny had apparently no idea that Tucker goes downright catatonic whenever he passes in front of the nurse's office as a result of his fear of anything medical related but Sam did. Especially since Danny and Tucker have known each other for as long as they've known Sam, if not longer.

If the plot were a little bit darker/more mature and didn't shy away from heavy topics like human mortality or that Danny actually died in the accident and came back to (half) life, this would all have a very simple explanation.

Danny didn't know about Tucker's fear of hospitals because it's a recent thing, while Sam does because she was there when it happened.

In other words, if you ask me, Tucker could have developed his fear after Danny's accident. After spending who knows how long inside a hospital waiting for news of his best friend's recovery, with each passing second spent there being a constant reminder of the possibility that Danny might not make it. Thus, his fear would be a result of anything medical reminding him of those agonising times and of the fear he felt at the idea of losing his best friend forever. And Sam would know about it but not Danny because she was right there by Tucker's side as they both waited while Danny was being treated and remained unaware of the world going on around him.

And just like that, you fix a plot hole, and add layers to the story, the characters and their interpersonal dynamics in one fell swoop.

Okay, no short post this time, but a full essay. Danny and Valerie are just so interesting as a couple

Danny and Valerie are both fairly similar, and they balance each other out. It's both of those traits that make them such a good couple

Both of them start as teenagers who aren't that heroic. Danny became a ghost by accident. Val just wanted some revenge. Neither of them intended to become heroes when they started fighting ghosts, but as time went on, both of them really started to enjoy helping people and eventually become genuine heroes as they matured

Valerie taught Danny to be less reckless with his powers. Valerie became a ghost hunter because of Danny's recklessness and his admitted carelessness to the trouble he caused her was a flaw on his part. Once he realizes just how badly he messed up, he really starts trying to befriend her

Danny taught Valerie to let go of her blind hatred. Val blamed and hated all ghosts for the trouble in her life. Despite that, Danny was able to get through to her and slowly help her step away from all that anger. It's also a bit of a redemption arc for him because her anti-ghost hatred was his fault

There's also an interesting parallel in their civilian lives. Danny was an outcast who craved being popular, but as he grew, he stopped caring about that validation and was fine with who he is. Val used to be a popular mean girl, but after her "friends" dropped her, she realizes her flaws and becomes a nicer person. While she still wants to get herself and her dad a better life, it's clear that she's not interested in being one of the popular kids again

Danny's carefree personality could encourage Val to take it easy on herself. Val's ambitious personality can encourage Danny to work a little harder to improve himself. Their respective feelings about needing to take on more responsibility than the average teenager is common ground they don't share with other characters in their lives

To me, the best couples in fiction are the ones who both amp up the strengths they share and also balance out each other's flaws and I think Danny and Valerie do that the best

Tim: no one has remembered my birthday since I was seven. I don’t even tell people my birthday anymore because they aren’t going to remember anyway

Tim: oh. Well, Dick always gets the date wrong and Steph never asked. I assume it’s because she thinks I don’t want to celebrate because no one ever tries to.

Jason: what about your team? The speedster and the supers? Don’t they remember???

Jason: did Bruce ever officially adopt you, or are you still emancipated?

Tim: he was going to, but then he disappeared and we never talked about it again, why?

Jason: I’m adopting you and then we’ll celebrate 10 birthdays to make up for the ones you’ve missed.

I heard this audio and randomly remembered my Sparkling AU and how one of the headcanons was that Danny knew most about earth and its humans.

Starscream: What do you want, Sparkling?

Danny: …The Egyptians believed the most significant thing you could do in your life was die.

Hc all the batkids decide to give Bruce Happy Mothers day as a prank

. Dick comes up with the idea and gets everyone to sign a Happy Mother's Day card that he made

. Jason buys him a watch with a small card saying "Happy Mother's day, loser"

. Cass buys him a mug that says "Best Mother in the world" (Shiva will later find out and fistfight Bruce because of it)

. Tim makes a gadget that Bruce had projected but had no time to actually build, and leaves it on his desk in a small gift box

. Duke has No Idea how other people are going about the prank and decides to buy him flowers

. Damian paints Martha Wayne (Tim helps by finding him several reference pictures)

They all think they're going to make Bruce Very Uncomfortable. Because well, he's not a mother. He's their father. Guys, Bruce starts sobbing by the end of the day. He hugs them and won't let go. Plan sucessfully backfired.

Phandom boy

Danny as Phantom saved Tim's civilian side. Tim had a crush on him ever since.

Danny was not interested in joining anyone. So people left him alone. Phantom didn't want anyone to come to Amity park or places close to it. He said it was not wise and didn't want anyone getting hurt. So Tim didn't get to create an opportunity in peace.

Tim joined a server of Phandom - fans of Danny Phantom. He was so happy reading and enjoying talking to others about Phantom and Team Phantom.

Activities in Spirit roaming the living world grew and Phantom has started to show up more around the living.

Phandom puts a post on the server telling how Team Phantom was talking about needing a good detective to their team that has connections in the living realm.

Guess who has them? Yes you guessed it right!! Red Robin!! A.K.A Tim Drake-Wayne.

You can bet our little smart gremlin applies for the position.

Tim: I was a little too bored lately and can meet my idol too. Yeah sign me up. I should let people know that I am leaving. Let's see, everyone is so busy. Oh well I let them later.

He did not let anyone beside Tam know later that he left. He, in Tim's style forgot to let people know. It was not that important, so Hups.

Batfam starts panicking. Where is Tim? He is not in his normal places and his teammates can't find him either.

Tam knew, because Tim wouldn't be showing up to the office anymore so, that's all. Tam is too used to Tim's craziness and thinks everyone knows. Color her surprised, when Batfamily is calling her about that dumbass.

Tam: Tim, damn you. How would you forget to let people know about this??? And why is he not answering???

I feel like optimus had this sort of mental power that I would like to explored more so you know what it means >:) headcanon time

Optimus doesn’t lie, well he does but it’s always for a good reason but sometimes even he has a evil side.

Megatron is deranged we all know this his troops and the autobots know he’s not all mentally there anymore, he’s willing to do anything to win.

So if optimus where to suddenly tell everyone that Megatron…idk was a piss drinker, everyone would believe it and to make it more believable he wouldn’t even say it as a one off comment he would make it as dramatic and mournful as possible.

Nobody asks for proof nobody even thinks twice I mean it’s optimus why would he lie and it’s not that far off clearly someone as ojeador as Megatron has never been normal.

Now the certain autobots (the twins) use it to antagonize the decepticons and once they hear about it they start to spread it around and then it reaches…Starscream.

Starscream would not waste time spreading this even more and then making up even more outlandish lies.

Soundwave thinks it started from Starscream or maybe one of his twins but when he finds out it came from the autobots and then from Optimus!? He might as well believe it.

Finally Megatron hears about it and loses it.

Proceeds to have a full blown out meltdown and starts to think up this about Orion pax yeah tiene true but cmon it’s Megatron even he isn’t a reliable source.

So next time they’re in battle Megatron confronts optimus and tells him to tel everyone it’s a lie and because he’s Megatron he does this in front of everyone.

But optimus just doubles down.

If you ever asked Ra's who his favourite descendants is. He would tell you it's Respawn.

Not Damian as all like to think.

It wasn't even family love or so, he just liked to see the boy. As he did remember him of a old friend of his Daniel.

He had meet, that time traveller, a few times in history. He would have been a good husband to his daughter. But the Detective had worked too. And they had Damian.

He should later call Danny, and talk how his grandson should meet Danielle. A good thing he did remember to ask his phone number in the 80s.
