Scars on Your Skin like Stars in the Sky

Draco x Fem!Reader

Warnings: Mentions of past wounds (not at all specific) and scars, I think that’s all! :)

Summary: As the Hogwarts floors are quiet and all eyelids are shut, Reader lays in Draco’s bed, asking him about his scars.

The silky sheets were smooth and cool beneath her skin, spreading warmth throughout her body but just enough for her to not overheat. The soft blanket covered her legs and legs only, leaving her upper body exposed for the air that surrounded them.

But the sheets on her skin was the last thing on her mind, for the man lying beside her was the center of her attention. He still had his white polo shirt on, sleeves rolled up to his elbows as his sliver eyes focused on the ceiling. But she knew him by now, thinking such as her own eyes traveled along the side of his face; the curve of his forehead, his long nose that was round at the end, and his plump lips she loved to kiss every so often. She just knew his mind was on her, her touch that she was currently giving him. Her cheek rested on his shoulder, the warmth of his skin seeping through the shirt that covered his body. Her hand stroked the skin of his arm that was exposed, mind thinking wondrous things about his body. It was so beautifully sculpted to her, every inch perfect and so carefully detailed. She could do this forever, lay here and stroke his body, occasionally tilting her head up to whisper sweet nothings on his ear as her lips ghosted it.

Her fingers continued to stroke his arm, sometimes running over his stomach, feeling the strong muscles beneath the fabric. Her fingers stopped when she felt a slight bump on his skin, something that someone else would surely see as a flaw but she found as a little piece of art on his body. He noticed her fingers halt their movements, head glancing down to meet her eyes. “Where is this from?” She asked quietly, almost hesitant to ask him but her voice couldn’t help but be filled with curiosity. He sighed after a couple seconds, looking back to the ceiling and licking his lips, her watching his every movement. “Burnt myself in Potions.” He answered shortly, eyes scanning the ceiling as if he was asking it a question and it was at the point of telling him the answer.

“Did it hurt?” She asked carefully, stroking the scar of the burn as if it would take it away. Now, if anyone besides her asked him that question he would become very annoyed, because obviously a burn to his arm hurt like Merlin. But since she asked with so much concern, so much care in her voice that made him feel like she felt compassion and affection towards him, he answered honestly and softly. “Yes, it hurt. Very much so.”

Her eyebrows furrowed, almost like him feeling pain was something that shouldn’t exist on Earth. He chucked softly at her expression before lifting his hand to brush it off her face, fingers stroking her cheek.

“How about this one?” She asked gently, fingers coming in contact with a scar that was on his upper chest, feeling his heart beat on her palm.He smiled at her ever so gently, letting her continue to massage the scar that formed there. “Quidditch.” He replied, answer short and sweet as always. She knew he wouldn’t elaborate but him answering and allowing her to stroke his scars was something she was beyond grateful for; for it told her that he was comfortable enough around her to share his past injuries and occurrences.

“Well I hope there isn’t any more to add to the collection.” She spoke soft, stroking his arm once again. He nodded, swallowing thickly as he once again looked at the ceiling, but she once again knew that his mind was swarming with thoughts of her.

things I think about a lot (gotham edition)

- Jasón having scars from the Joker. Yes, the J on his cheek, but what if he had been given the smile lines, what if he has Joker brandished on his back like a shadow, always haunting him. Just out of reach. Something maybe Bruce saw one day, had to stand there and see it right on his sons back, big and ugly and always hidden from him. When he goes swimming or he trains without a shirt and someone sees it. Steph’s gasp, Tim seeing it on the cameras and being afraid to bring it up. Damian staring and brooding and thinking. Thinking about the blade that could leave marks like that, the blades he had been raised with and if he would have grown up to do something like that. Dick, the older brother, the protector, the first. The one that wasn’t there in time. What if the white streak of hair is there to distract from the real reminder. Of death and torture.

I'm reading up on lightning strikes because it's been a little while and specifically focusing on Litchenberg Figures (this is for fic reasons again). I love the headcanon Barry (and Wally) have Litchenberg scars. I really love that art I saw the other month that had Barry's scar glowing with lightning, that's so very good.

The cause of Litchenberg Figures is capillaries bursting under the skin. They typically fade within a few days.

Now! This is a comic book. In reality lightning strikes have about a 10% mortality rate and 70% are left with a permanent disability (whether from brain damage, hearing loss, chronic fatigue, chronic pain, ect). This BBC article I'm reading mentions nothing about superpowers, so really, how realistic do we have to make things. Plus, Barry and Wally were covered in chemicals, the lightning could have also travelled through them, heated them in its fractal patterns, and left burns on the skin. I have actually written Barry with chemical burns before, and metal belts can leave burns, clothes can catch fire, there's options for burn scars and speedsters.

Also, there's the option it's from their own lightning, the charge the Speed Force gives them pushing down to their legs, a constantly shifting red mark that appears every time they run (and they run so much, it never gets the chance to fade).

But I have a slightly different idea. Scars are not the only mark left on your body from something that has happened to it, and much like scars these can fade over time, but stick around. And maybe the lightning didn't cause a rapid change in weight which these are typically associated with, but it definitely caused a rapid change in something.

What I would like to suggest is a fractal stretch mark that follows the path of the lightning, a Litchenberg that didn't fade because this change sank into Barry and Wally's skin and stayed there.

Lost in feelings... about Faces

So like, I'm just kinda feeling a little out of sorts. Kinda sad. Kinda meh. Kinda introspective.

Back when the Freelancer Arc was first airing, I had held hope that this was all a test run for us getting Canon Face reveals of our main teams by the time the show ended. Double that when S14 came out and showed us Felix and Locus. Triple that with all the new animations in the following seasons.

But then I guess Bernie said there wouldn't ever be Canon faces for the main rvb charatcers. . . But yet we got one for Church and Tex. (Technically*)

And I guess it was to not like overstep the fandom... but like, the Fandom is either gonna accept it or keep their own idea.

Like people are already basically saying they will not acknowledge the retcon of 15-17 (rightfully so) because of all the amazing things it gave us. Things people have been begging for for yeeeeaaaarrrs. All the beautiful animations, small inside jokes... A Red Finally Advancing/Getting A Plot and it was Grif and Donut of all people!

Donut vs Doc fight!? Like holy shit I never knew I needed that in all my life?!

But anywho... You're not gonna make people sad/mad by revealing Canon faces of the rest of our favs.

Like, I am happy for but also envious of the people whose favorite charatcers like Tex, Church, Locus, Felix and others got faces. It makes them so so so much more human. Me being able to see the faces, see the animations for the Freelancer arc... it made me connect to them in a way I haven't and won't ever get to connect with the core charatcers I love more than anything.

It keeps me up at night.

SO then I guess the best thing I can ask is this:

Do we have any interviews or podcast in which some of the VAs give their own headcanons for how their charatcers look? Has Geoff or Gus or Mike or anyone ever imaged what their charatcers look like?

Of course I have my own headcanons.... but for me, having knowledge of a Canon or semi-canon face idea is more rewarding.

I feel like my Jeff would have a love for this specific joker and I’m not sure why….. does anyone understand why? Because I just have the urge. Maybe it’s the “You wanna know how I got these scars?” Line.

I kinda wanted to do something different for Jeff but since someone suggested this I was like sure.

I think that someone in the group was like you have to be Joker.Does any of this line up with my timeline probably not but most of the holiday stuff won’t.

Honestly I feel like I should do a drawing with him as joker and Nina the killer as Harley Quinn.

Also if you guys want like Halloween headcannons I’d be glad to do some. An example would be like Jeff just chases random children that are trick or treating or Sally stares longingly at the other children because she can’t go trick or treating 🥺.
