Danny Phantom being a reborn version of Pariah and Clockwork’s kid AU: Since the death of their Precious Child had caused Pariah to become corrupted and evil… Would eventually knowing that his Baby Boy had been reincarnated into Danny, at least somewhat restore Pariah’s sanity?… How would Clockwork + Pariah both react to learning that Danny is their Reincarnated Child? 👻👻👻
It would definitely help, i'm thinking that a lot of the sanity loss was due to grief and rage being amplified due to ring of rage and crown, knowing that their kid is aback would help... but if he found out about observants being involved then all that rage is turning on them... so I they'd probably be a lot of murder before he fully comes back himself.
CW would probably be more reserved (Or well he'd time out while he took probably a few days to process everything and freak the fuck out and cry a lot... probably plan the death of anyone involved or who may have known and not tell him.. as well as looking through all time lines to see if there was anyway he would have found out about this sooner as well as figuring out how this was never seen before)
When he uses time in he seems perfectly calm and has a plan about everything... which he tells everyone after he stops hugging Danny and that takes a while.
Pariah... pretty much all the same only he can't time out so everyone sees it also a fucking huge wave of fear that he nearly killed his kid!
Both are also super insanely protective after the fact, and if they aren't around him Fright Knight is watching him under threat of a pain of a fate far worse than any death if anything happens to him.

Dcxdp prompt
I don’t see enough angst to do with Bruce, so here’s my idea.
The world is ending, and all of Bruce’s kids have been hurt in someway. Bruce is running out of options, so he said to call his final contingency plan into place.
He messages the family group chat, telling them that he loves them and is proud of them. Immediately they all start freaking out, and they have Barbara connect them onto a FaceTime with. They’re the only ones who can see what’s going on.
Bruce made a summoning circle. He transferred a few moments before that none of them can really describe appears in the circle. Later on, they all describe him differently. Damien calls him an older man older than Alfred while Tim insists he looks around Bruce’s age. Jason says that he looked older than Bruce, but younger than Alfred and Dick says they looked around his age.
The being looks at Bruce for a moment and ask him in a voice that sounded simply Eldritch
“I assume you wish to make a deal. You know what you must do if I agreed to do anything.’
Bruce nods and grunts.
The being smiles.
“Very well, I will deal with your problem. If you agree to the terms I set so long ago. Do you remember?’
Bruce grunts before saying
“My children are hurt. I want you to heal them too.’
The being laughs,
“why certainly, but you know, that means the deal be a little steeper.”
Bruce nods and takes the outstretched hand. A Crack rings through the air and the video shorts out, becoming only static. By the time they get to the Batcave, the danger is gone, their injuries are healed and Bruce is nowhere to be seen.
Meanwhile, Bruce met clockwork back when he was a teenager. He was a friend of Alfred, and they had a deal where Bruce would babysit clockwork kids or help him in the tower in exchange for Clockwork’s advice and help with tasks. Bruce figured out that clockwork was not human and was a very Eldritcg, but Alfred trusted him so so did Bruce. However, Bruce had been very busy since he adopted the kids and hadn’t made many deals in a while. However, this was important, so he didn’t mind babysitting for a while. there were more kids than usual, though.

Prompt 199
“Where the fuck are my legs?”
Danny wasn’t happy. It wasn’t funny! Usually he just had a ghost tail when flying really fast, like super speed, not all the time! It’s not funny Clockwork, you’re used to having a tail, he isn’t!
What do you mean it’s permanent?! He needs his legs! Clockwork!! He wouldn’t have agreed to the adoption if he knew he’d lose his legs!
…Okay, that was a lie, Clockwork was a great parent who encouraged his chaos and enjoyed screwing over assholes like the Observants. But still! He looks like some sort of snake person now! No he doesn’t want a nap, he’s not a baby!
Clockwork, why are you being quiet? He’s not a baby! He’s not a baby, right? What do you mean all ghosts are babies until they’re a hundred years dead!? But he’s a halfa- what do you mean it takes longer for Ancients?!
No he doesn’t want that nap, he’s having a midlife crisis here several years too early!

Godling siblings
ok an au that ties in to my kocat au aka the kitsuniks of ceresia. The idea is that pariah dark, nocturne, and clockwork were quite close before pariah became a tyrant, and when I say close I mean close enough it have kids. Three of them at the time: the first born who's name was lost to time, kur the king of the criptics, and the third born who was never named. For some Insane and senseless reason the observents decided that the first and third born children(the children of time and dreams, and time and war/the ghost king respectively) of the royal family should no longer exist while kur(the child of dreams and war/ghost king) should take the throne. When the obsevents shattered the core of the first born child, pariah and the ancients lashed out in grief, out of desperation clockwork and nocturne hid kur and the unborn core of the third child away effectively ensuring their safety. Pariah goes tyrant and well you know what goes from their. Then centuries later some how the shattered core of the first born child of dreams and time is mended and reborn as nora kitsunaly-kuga, kur ends up as zak saturday like Canon, and ironically enough the unborn core of time and war/ghost king is the one and only danny Fenton. Because of Nora's existence yuma Nora's twin brother ends up as a halfa with nora on their 14th birthday with danny and zak, pariah eventuality woken up but is sainish and the news is dropped on nora, yuma, zak, and danny in some undecided way, and they are then told that whoever the considere siblings will be adopted by the royal family all the while clockwork up and decides that ben tension is now his son(no paradox you do not get a say in the matter all is as it should be) boom godling siblings yall can add on to this post as you see fit

"Right—" He fiddles with his sweater. "Sorry about the- uh, time travel and stuff."
Batman was so confused.
"My Gramps, he kind oversees those? He found out you were my favourite to watch, gave you more adventures because of me."
Batman huffs, turning in the chair to view the child fully. "You know I'm batman,"
"And Bruce Wayne, yeah."
"Do you have a name too?" He's slowly switching over to Bruce, watching the child.
"Danny, uh- sir."
Danny.
His name was Danny, he appeared out of nowhere as he was on the bat computer and apologised for something.
Now wasn't that a reason to apologise if all things.

Down Bad in Distress
Bruce Wayne is kidnapped... A lot. And it's always so weird that only Batman is allowed to save him. That this dumb, charming, but kidnap-able Billionaire doesn't have a bodyguard.
Now, Bruce can simply go "Oh, we've got Batman. No need to worry for that!" But people are fussy nowadays. He underestimates just bow much Gotham loves their disaster of a prince with a golden heart. Even his company employees are begging him to hire a bodyguard. (This is from the many files being sent to his office, obvious recommendations on competent bodyguards)
Cut to the new bodyguard for hire—who was recommended by Alfred of all people (something about him being the disciple of a good old friend of his). The man was large. Fucking huge. Taller than Jason, if one would like to admit (Jason is his 6'4" baby and this fucking fridge if a man looked 6'6").
But he was all soft and warm. Like a golden retriever the size of a bear.
Anyways, Danny was a rather kind man. When he wasn't following Bruce around and playing bodyguard, he was indulging the kids. Entertaining them with the most obscure things and stories from his childhood. Better yet, Danny would be the kids' bodyguard rather than Bruce's whenever they went out.
It was a miracle when they realized that Damian wasn't reacting badly to the man. Very strange since Damian would think it'd be shameful for someone to protect him during the day. But then again, Bruce once saw Danny effortlessly pick up Damian so his son could coax a cat out of a tree. That was most likely the kicker.
Anyways, Danny looked and felt soft.
It wasn't easy for him to settle into the man's ever present presence, but it's been almost four months since Danny's been hired and Bruce doesn't even flinch when the man brightly greets him from the bottom of the stairs.
"Good morning, mr. Wayne!" Danny would say, all teeth and bright eyes in his suit.
"Bruce," he'd correct immediately.
And then Danny would pause, laugh, and— "Good morning, Bruce."
Then his kids would follow and Danny would affectionately greet them all, ask where they plan to go and if they needed Danny to follow.
His bodyguard was like sunshine and warmth incarnate.
But if course, Danny was a bodyguard.
There were instances where Bruce would have to take a second to remind himself that this man that would look down at socialites like he's ready to crush their hands is the same one who once gave him puppy-dog eyes to back up Damian when his son asked to keep the kittens.
That the same man who grabbed someone by the scruff of their collar like they were weightless was the same one who talked about poetry and literature with Jason.
That the man who once hauled Bruce off the ground and walked right out the gala when the smoke alarms blared is the same one who would gently coax Tim off the coach and into a proper bed.
But right now, that's not his concern. No. Bruce is more concerned about the fact that he's gotten kidnapped again.
Everyone was most likely alerted. They were. He could hear Red Robin, Blackbat and Spoiler talking over the comms, checking in on Red Hood and Robin in case things went off.
"B, don't move. These guys are more prepared than the usual ones." Tim's voice filters into the comms, evidently annoyed. "I've got Oracle checking if there are any bombs in the place."
Bruce stayed silent, watching the masked men and women walk around, guns in hand and crates surrounding them. He had been knocked out during a party. The last thing he saw was Danny's eyes—god, it frightened him a bit. How those pretty blues suddenly turned green like Jason's.
Then he was here. Most likely with a concussion.
"B?"
"I'm okay... Be careful..." He murmurs under his breath, hearing his children sigh in relief.
"Good. We've got Red Ho—What the fuck is that?" Barbara immediately cut herself off, her voice strained and pitched with surprise.
"Oracle?"
"Spoiler—Do you have a view on that?" Oracle frantically asked. "Shit—the cameras just went down. Guys?"
"is that—" Stephanie chokes out, "Is that Danny?"
Bruce froze. Danny?
Tumblr media
Jason always knew that Danny was kinda off. The first time he met the man, it wasn't his size that Jason immediately noticed. It was how his eyes flashed green when they met his. At first, he felt threatened, ready to attack whatever the fuck thought it was a good idea to infiltrate his family.
But then... Then Danny smiled at him. Offered his hand with a kind greeting. Jason took that hand and... And felt calm. Like the buzz in his head melted away, like the Lazarus was cleansed.
And Danny most likely knew. Because the man was smiling in satisfaction, like he was pleased that Jason suddenly didn't feel starved and angry and hurt.
"I don't know what happened to you kid, but whatever the hell did, it wasn't good for you. Hopefully you'll get better now." Danny whispered softly and then withdrew his hand, tucking it behind his back.
Jason doesn't know what the fuck Danny was but the man was worth keeping around.
Admittedly, he turned to Danny a lot nowadays. Jason can't call Bruce all the time. No. His relationship with Bruce still isn't good enough to warrant Jason to call him constantly.
But Danny? Again, Jason doesn't know what the hell this guy is but whenever Jason was in trouble, he dialed Danny's phone immediately. And he came... Every, single, fucking time. No questions asked, just pick Jason up and patch him up like nothing.
Danny was a good guy. Like sunshine, like golden retrievers. All teeth with some fangs.
And that same guy just snapped a man's neck with his bare hands.
"Hood... Are you seeing this?" Robin asked beside him, equally stunned as they watched their usually kind and sweet bodyguard effortlessly tear through the group of men with his bare hands. There was already blood around. Everywhere, maybe. Some already on Danny.
"He's on a fucking warpath." Jason murmurs. Every bit of admiration he had for Danny just multiplied by a thousand when he watched him grab a gun right out of a guy's hand and slam it into their head. Fucking amazing.
If Bruce doesn't square up and ask this guy on a date, Jason would have to start planning to parent trap them.
Fucking shit, he needed this guy as a dad.
Tumblr media
The doors don’t just open—they explode off their hinges, a violent crack echoing through the warehouse. Guns swing up, barrels glinting under harsh light, but it doesn’t matter. Nothing matters except the figure in the doorway.
Bruce’s pulse slams against his ribs.
And then Danny walks in, dragging a half-conscious man by the leg, leaving a smeared trail of blood in his wake. He doesn’t even look winded.
Blood stains his usually pristine uniform—smeared across his face, streaked over the white of his shirt, soaking into his knuckles. His tie is gone. His collar is open, a few buttons undone, exposing a sliver of skin beneath the mess. There’s blood on his face, drying in streaks, and his knuckles—his knuckles are raw, dripping, alive. He looks… disheveled. Lethal. Gorgeous.
"HOLY SHIT! HOLY SHIT! THAT'S DANNY!" Spoiler screeched, "HE'S BODYING THOSE FUCKERS! RED! RED, ARE YOU FUCKING SEEING THIS?!"
"SOMEONE RECORD THIS! SHIT! SOMEONE RECORD THIS!" Red Robin replied, equally loud and frantic as if trying desperately to find the old camera he used to stalk Bruce many years ago.
He doesn’t slow down. Doesn’t hesitate.
Danny launches the man he was dragging, sending him crashing into the nearest gunman with a sickening thud. Before anyone can react, he moves—crossing the room in impossibly fluid strides, twisting a wrist until a gun clatters to the floor, elbowing another man so hard in the ribs that something audibly cracks. A shot goes off, a wild, panicked attempt—Danny doesn’t even flinch. He snatches the arm holding the gun and bends it the wrong way. The scream is immediate.
Bruce’s breath catches.
Another man rushes Danny with a knife—big mistake. Danny catches his wrist mid-swing, wrenches it to the side with bone-snapping efficiency, then drives the same blade into another attacker’s thigh. The man howls, but Danny is already moving, slamming someone’s face into the nearest table hard enough to leave a smear of red on the wood.
They never stood a chance.
Two minutes. Two damn minutes, and the entire room is a battlefield of unconscious, broken bodies.
And Bruce cannot focus.
Bruce barely registers Jason swearing at him through the comms, telling him to get it together. He can’t.
And then Danny turns to him.
His face is splattered with blood, his chest rising and falling steadily as he steps forward. His hands, bruised and raw, reach out, and Bruce swallows hard.
Danny kneels, gaze flicking to Bruce’s bound wrists, and his touch—gentle, so gentle—works at the ropes with precise care. The knots had been tight, biting into his skin enough to bruise, to draw blood. Danny’s jaw clenches at the sight.
Bruce should say something. Should thank him. Should not be thinking about how unfairly attractive he looks like this—wild, wrecked, utterly devoted.
But he can’t help it.
He’s so gone.
"Mr. Wayne."
On instruct, Bruce corrects him. "Bruce."
And Danny pauses.
The chaos settles—not in the room, where bodies lay crumpled, groaning, and barely conscious—but in him. Just for a second. Just long enough for Bruce to see it.
Blue flickers into green. A warning. A promise.
Bruce doesn’t look away. Can’t. Even as Danny tilts his head, something unhinged curling at the edges of his smile. His chest rises and falls, slow, deliberate, the blood on his face catching the dim light. His knuckles, split and raw, flex at his sides before he exhales a laugh—low, sharp, guttural.
Almost a growl.
And Bruce—God help him—feels something thrill in his spine.
Then Danny takes his wrists. Carefully. Reverently. Those same hands that had snapped bones and silenced screams mere moments ago now hold Bruce’s bruised, bloodied skin like it’s something precious.
Then—cold.
Not warm. Not comforting. Cold lips, pressing soft against each wound, his touch featherlight against the raw skin. Bruce shudders.
Danny pulls back just enough for Bruce to see his lips—stained red with his blood. And he grins, sharp fangs more prominent than ever, his eyes molten with something Bruce can’t name.
"Bruce…"
Danny says it like a prayer. Like a promise. Like a goddamn claim.
Exasperated. Excited. Fond. And something else entirely.
"Try not to get kidnapped again, Bruce… Or I might just end up blowing up Gotham to get you back.
Bruce’s breath stutters.
Oh.
Oh, no.
Bruce is so utterly gone.
(Someone laughs in the background, shadows curling at their feet. Lady Gotham is pleased.)

Danny Fenton is three things.
1: A broke college student in Gotham
2: Part-time magic teacher
3: RIDICULOUSLY BAD AT MAGIC
Maybe his ghost biology effects his ability to cast, maybe he's just bad. It doesn't matter, because nobody can call him out on his BS. Every rich lowlife with too much cash and not enough know-how falls for when he summons (his ghost dad) THE ANCIENT OF TIME CLOCKWORK!
Everyone else is either sent to an actual magic user like the local hedge witch or is already a magic user. Needless to say Constantine is impressed, if more than a little concerned how he knows an ancient. Also how did the kid even do that?

Alfred knows Danny from long ago during his secret service days. He always found the other odd, but his company was enjoyable enough to overlook. They were friends for a short while. Danny even saved his life once or twice. However, despite their trust in each other, they didn’t keep in touch. It was like Danny disappeared and he never heard from the jolly man again. That is until Danny showed up at the Wayne manor decades later looking the same as when they parted ways carrying the daughter he talked so much about.
Danny stood on the front porch with a toddler Ellie in his arms. She’s been behaving wonderfully. The new environment gave her curious self something to look at and distract her from a tantrum.
He rings the doorbell awkwardly with her in one arm and a bag of supplies resting on his shoulder.
If things were any different he wouldn’t be here, but he’s got to do what he’s got to do even if it’s the last scenario.
Footsteps can be heard on the other side before it opens to reveal a boy in sweatpants and a hoodie. It’s a little warm for the summer and Danny expects they have an expensive electric bill for this large place.
The kid, Damian Wayne he remembers, scowls. He gives Danny a once over with narrowed eyes.
“How’d you get through the gate?” Damian demands.
Danny blinks and adjusts Ellie on his hip.
“I walked of course.” Damian grows even more suspicious and Danny decides to change the subject. “I’m Danny. Danny Fenton. And this little monster is Ellie. Want to say hello, Ells?”
Ellie looks at Damian for all of three seconds before losing interest.
“No.”
Danny sighs. Yea, he was expecting that answer. It’s her favorite word at the moment.
“Why are you here?” Damian asks.
Straight to the point then.
“I’m looking for Alfred Pennyworth. Is he around? It’s urgent.”
“What is it concerning?” Damian straightens his spine to appear taller but it doesn’t change the head difference.
Danny sets Ellie down on the brick when she won’t stop squirming to be let down. She doesn’t waste a moment wandering away to investigate her surroundings. Damian raises a brow while watching her.
“I’m cashing in that favor he owns me.”
That got the boy’s attention. He studies the adult for a moment before opening the door wider for the both of them to enter.
Danny manages to wrangle Ellie into the house with Damian’s judgmental gaze following them. The bag had slid down to his elbow when he bends down to hold Ellie’s hand to steady her.
It’s as Damian is closing the front door that a man comes around the corner in a butler uniform. The same man he was looking for.
Alfred freezes after registering who was in front of him. The older of the two sighs heavily. Shoulders back and chin high, as expected he approaches this situation with a level head and posh dignity.
“Daniel,” addresses Alfred. “I wasn’t expecting you.”
Danny cringes. He really should have called with a warning but there wasn’t time. He also always hated it when Alfred refused to use Danny’s preferred nickname, a sort of teasing that was consistent. If Alfred was anything, he’s stubborn enough to do what he wants and get away with it.
“Sorry, Alf. Next time for sure.” Danny sends a cheeky grin that doesn’t impress anyone. He glances over at his daughter to see her trying to touch the expensive looking vase on a side table.
“Ellie!” He dashes over to pull her away which immediately starts a struggle war and fussing. He knows if he lets this continue it will turn into a full blown tantrum.
“That’s not ours, we can’t touch it without permission.” She whines in frustration. “Do you want to ask if it’s okay to touch? Gently?”
Ellie thinks about it a second before looking up at him. Danny nods in understanding and turns her a bit to look at the two spectators.
“Toush?” She asks with an adorable chubby arm raised to point at the vase.
“Are you going to break it?” Damian asks with folded arms.
“Master Damian, I’m sure that’s not her intention.” Alfred turns with a smile back to Ellie. “That vase is fragile. Can you be very careful?”
Obviously her answer is a confident nod of the head and immediately trying to reach out again. Danny helps to lift her and hold her wrist steady.
She pets the vase like a kitten, feeling the raised edges of the design with her little hand. After a few long moments Danny pulls her away to set her on his hip like before, earning an annoyed huff in his direction for his efforts.
“Very good, Ellie. I knew you could do it.”
She hides her face in his shoulder and he takes the opportunity to send a look at Alfred. The older man understands immediately and inclines his head before turning to walk further into the house.
“It was nice meeting you,” Danny shoots Damian before following Alfred to what appears to be a parlor a few rooms away.
“I shall fetch some tea.”
Danny shakes his head as he sits.
“No time. I’m in a rush.”
Alfred eyes him up and down before gingerly sitting in the armchair across from him.
“Yes, so I have noticed.”
In other words, spill your guts for abruptly intruding like you have.
“Something…urgent has come up-“
“I assumed as much.”
“-and I know how good you are with kids-“
“Daniel, you cannot expect me to-“
“You owe me,” Danny says firmly. Alfred leans back at the reminder. He knows Danny would never hold that over his head without a good reason. “I have no one else to go to, to look after her. I normally would just take her with me, but I- it’s gotten dangerous. Too dangerous for her.”
He looks to Alfred with desperate eyes. Ellie tries to squirm out of his arms, which reflexively tighten securely around her middle. He can see the dark bags under the younger eyes.
Alfred sighs.
“How long?”
Danny sags and Ellie slips out of her father’s arms as soon as the chance presented itself. Alfred would need to keep a close eye on her in the future.
“A week, two, three tops.”
Alfred sends an unimpressed look and Danny cringes but doesn’t redact his statement.
“Anything I need to know?”
Danny looks down at the hastily packed diaper bag like it had all the answers.
“We’re kind of in the middle of potty training so I threw in some pull ups but those will go quick. She hates carrots. Won’t go to sleep without a bedtime story. Don’t give her any sugar after four or she’ll turn into a monster. Oh, and her powers are coming in so I packed a shield for at night.”
Alfred raises a single eyebrow.
“Could you be more specific?”
Danny waves it off like it was no big deal.
“Just the normal stuff. Invisibility, intangibility, and flight. It’s all very weak and sporadic right now. Keep calm until she figures it out on her own. She’s just learning.”
“So you are leaving a child in my care for an unknown amount of time, a child that can disappear, walk through walls, and fly. Anything else?”
Danny rubs the back of his neck guiltily.
“Why do you always have to make everything sound so…” He sighs heavily, glancing over at Ellie who has managed to take every blanket out of the basket in the corner and crawled in to make a nest out of the materials. He smiles fondly.
“I’ve probably forgotten something, but I know you can handle it. You can take care of her.”
Danny then stands and pulls out a piece of paper, handing it over.
“My number is at the top in case of emergencies. Her favorite stuffy is in the bag, she won’t sleep without it. Her favorite word right now is ‘no’. I wrote down anything I could think of, which you probably can’t even read my chicken scratch…”
Alfred gently takes the paper from his hand and Danny slowly makes his way to the messy corner.
“Hey, Elles,” he says softly, far softer than anything Alfred has heard from him. Usually he was a rambunctious, jovial loudmouth, but right now he was hesitant. Prolonging the farewell they both know needs to happen with how urgent this mysterious problem was.
Ellie looks up for a moment before going back to maneuvering her fort.
“I gotta go away for a while. Alfred here will be watching over you while I’m gone, okay?”
That got her attention. For a child that young, she knew something was wrong, but didn’t know what. And now her dad, her protector, was leaving.
“No.”
Danny folds his lips together, expecting the response but still not ready to go through the hard part of leaving.
“I’m so sorry, baby girl. I am, but I have to go. I’ll be back when I’m finished.”
“No!”
Danny sighs and reaches in to pull her into his arms. She fights him valiantly, but he was stronger and bigger.
“I know. I know. I’m sorry. I’ll be back as soon as I can. I promise.”
They might as well have been empty words for the lack of effect it had on the struggling toddler. Danny sways with her for a few beats until he gets an idea.
“Danielle, look.”
He makes sure she’s watching as he creates a loop of ice, infused with his ectoplasm and therefore, his signature.
“Hold out your hand,” he coax.
She does so with a sniffle and he gently moves the glowing green ghost ice around her wrist to make an indestructible, unmeltable bracelet. He shrinks it until he’s sure it won’t fall off and won’t be too tight either.
“There. Now you have a piece of me wherever you go. Even when we’re far apart.”
She pointedly doesn’t look at him.
“I love you, Ellie. I’ll be back soon.”
He kisses her forehead, breathes in her soft scent, and turns to Alfred. The older man is watching carefully and makes his arms available for a new passenger.
With a deep breath Danny hands her over, Ellie immediately starts whining and tears fall from her eyes.
“Hey, you’ll be okay. Alfred here is a mighty warrior. He’ll keep you safe. I trust him.”
He does his best to wipe away her tears but he has to physically step away when she reaches for him. Instead he looks to Alfred.
Alfred holds her securely and nods in assurance.
“Not to worry. Danielle and I will be too busy to notice your absence.”
Danny smiles at the effort but it doesn’t reach his eyes. He can’t resist petting her head one last time, her pigtails in disarray, and wiping her tears from her cheeks.
“I’ll be back before you know it,” he promises, marking it with another kiss to her head before backing away again. He looks at Alfred sending his gratitude without words. Alfred accepts it with a slight incline of the head. Danny nods once and leaves before he can’t.
The door opens and the young boy from earlier stumbles back with a glare to hide his embarrassment.
“Master Damian-“
Danny holds up a hand to stop Alfred. Of course the boy would eavesdrop, what did either of them expect?
The young father leans down to get eye level with Damian, looking him straight in the eye with seriousness. Damian straightens at the attention.
“It’s very important Ellie is safe and occupied while I’m away. It would mean a lot to me if you would help Alfred do that.”
Damian folds his arms.
“What would I get out of that useless goal?”
“What would you want?”
“Daniel, Master Bruce would not-“
“A knife,” Damian interrupts. “Not just any knife though. It has to be special.”
Danny hums in thought, studying Damian for a moment, almost making the boy squirm.
“Deal.”
He holds out his hand and Damian shakes it after a second of hesitation. Danny nods to the boy, then nods to Alfred, and he’s finally out the door making a portal as he walks from the gentle breeze of outside to the chill of ectoplasm, transforming into his kingly attire as he crosses the threshold.
The GIW had a lot to answer for and he couldn’t hold his subjects back any longer. The United States had declared war against the Infinite Realms and he would be the one to answer.

John Constantine sighed loudly, interrupting the discussion in the meeting room. He rubbed his forehead, clearly looking like he wanted to light a cigarette.
“Well, I do know someone who could probably help, but it’ll be… awkward.”
Zatanna raised an eyebrow. “Another jilted lover?”
John scowled. “I’ve pissed people off for far more than just sleeping with ‘em, you know. But… yes.”
Batman butted in, “And you’re sure they’ll help?”
“Hopefully.”
“That doesn’t reassure me,” Flash remarked snidely.
John opened his mouth to rebuke Flash’s words, but Wonder Woman spoke up first. “It’s still better than nothing. Unless they’re likely to attack you.” She turned towards John. “…Are they likely to attack you?”
“Nah, Clockwork ain’t the type. And a few years won’t have changed that.” John paused, then sighed again. “Anyway… give me a couple hours and I should be able to set up a summoning circle. Even if he doesn’t show up immediately, he should be able to feel it.”
When they reconvened, John stood in front of a decidedly unimpressive looking ritual circle, wearing a strange medallion.
“Really? That’s it? You’re sure this guy is powerful enough to deal with this?”
“Fuck off. I told you we’d dated, of course I have a leg up in contacting him. It wouldn’t work if you tried this.”
“Is everything ready?” Batman cut off further arguing.
“Yeah, should be.”
John uncorked a small vial of a glowing fluid and downed it in one gulp, grimacing. Clearing his throat, he turned around and began to chant. Except instead of words, what came from his mouth was an sibilant hiss of static, like a radio tuned to dead air.
At first, not much appeared to happen, but then the world began to slow down, the colors graying further and further as the effect intensified. Only Constantine seemed untouched, continuing his chant unabated.
Suddenly, time seemed to skip like an old record, and the effect was gone. Blinking away the haze from their eyes, the gathered heroes noticed a new figure in the room.
A baby.
Everyone turned to stare at John Constantine, silently demanding answers to the same question.
“Did you seriously have a kid with a godlike being and then abandon them?”

Any chance on an update for passion for fashion? The more I read it the weirder I get about my own fashion, and I'm excited to see where I end up lol
Dan's spine jerks into a straight line as if someone had pressed a buzzer to it, sending shockwaves of unease throughout his body. The startling shock is so severe that he drops the needs he holds in his mouth. The metal clacks softly against the kitchen tile, echoing in the silence of the house.
He stands perfectly still, straining his ears for any hints of a threat. His hands are still poised to lift the fabric, but he hears nothing besides the steady bump of his heart, the soft noise of passing cars, and his own breathing. He starts to relax his muscles despite his instincts screaming that something is wrong when he realizes what the silence also means.
The brat wasn't in the house.
Dan knew Danny had been a little upset about the bomb in their chests, starting to become more active, but there wasn't much either of them could do. They haven't found Batman, much less save his humanity, and it seemed that Clockwork would finally end his little game.
Dan hadn't told Danny, but from the very beginning, he knew neither of them would survive this mission. There was no situation in which they would be successful.
How could Dan, a being that has long ago forgotten to be human, save someone's humanity? How could Danny, a child in the eyes of many, know what was needed to keep someone from becoming a monster?
Danny thought Clockwork was a kind god who only wanted the best for the multiverse. Strapping a bomb to their core, non-standing, the boy thought of Clockwork as good. Dan had enough years under his belt as an all-powerful ghost to know not to look at beings of Clockwork's level with expectations of human concepts such as morality.
Yes, Clockwork had stepped in to preserve the timeline, but if he had genuinely cared about the lives lost and the pain Dan had caused, he would have stepped in from the beginning. Even with nearly all life on Earth wiped out by Dan, Clockwork had not moved from his Tower because, despite what humans believed, time did not need them.
Clockwork had been seen before and during humans and likely already knew what life would be like after humans. If he cared about the value of preserving life, he would have never allowed other animals to go extinct, would have stopped tragedies, and maybe would have created a task force to keep others from feeling harm.
But he doesn't.
It's simple; Clockwork was a god of time, not life, and time is never a kind thing. It's not even a cruel thing. It's just...is.
That's why Dan hadn't taken the mission seriously from the very beginning. While Danny was out and about exploring, trying to gather information and leads, he let himself sink into his role as a fashion designer. He devoted all his waking hours—and wasn't that a pain? Having to sleep, eat, and shower again—ugh—to researching, designing, and crafting everything this world had to offer in fashion.
He knew his expiration date was likely coming soon, so Dan chose to use it on something that brought him joy. It's been a long time since he felt ecstatic about anything. He felt an Obsession take root in his soul, and Dan felt content with his impending end.
Why fight for a world they would never see? Dan's family's survival had created a time paradox, wiping his crimes from existence. That was true, but the fact that he remained was a problem. Clockwork had already pulled him out of time, keeping him locked up in the Fenton Thermos for two years, waiting for Dan to vanish.
When he failed to do so, Clockwork realized that the time paradox would be permanent, and if left unchecked, it would slowly grow into a black hole. The Ancient hated dealing with black holes. In Clockwork's own words, they were such a bother to clean.
Dan had to live with the fact that he now knew every black hole was an entire world that had collapsed due to time and that the being of time regarded it with the same importance as mud tracked into his house. He may have destroyed his own world, but at least he cared when he did it.
Danny didn't know that, though. The kid was still too young to really understand how the Ancients worked. He never even questioned what the being had been doing when the last king was running around bringing everything under his tyrannical rule.
Dan hadn't been human in a long time. He had forgotten what it felt like to need to eat, drink, sleep, and, most of all, protect a child's innocence from the reality of war. With each passing day in Gotham, he felt himself reminded, like a forgotten song from his childhood, and the more effort he watched Danny put into finding Batman, the more he realized time was almost up.
He threw himself into this fashion contest because he wanted his last few days to be happy.
Clockwork had even been thoughtful enough to send him an attractive EverBurning, despite nothing coming about it because of his new age. (Though that just made Killer hotter. A man who wasn't a creep with kids was so attractive). Dan hadn't dated much when he went mad, and it would have been nice to explore the options of the Realms, but he was a dead man walking.
He was a bomb ready to explode.
tic tic tic tic
He grimaces, placing a hand over his chest. The timer was reaching its end, and he knew that somewhere out in the city, Danny realized he was in danger, too.
The ticking sped up. It moved so fast against his core that his chest physically ached with each slight twitch. Breathing through his nose- what a gross feeling he can't believe he needed it to survive again- Dan works through the pain.
He stumbles away from the mannequin. It was supposed to be his final piece for the contest. A circus theme.
Something extravagant that you couldn't wear out in the street. He took this to mean more of a costume, like what he saw in those Miss Universal culture costumes.
Dan had been making it a suit, using the iconic circuit red and white pattern with wings. Danny was going to strut to the end of the runway, hold up his wings to display acrobats, and when he moved, it would appear as if the preforms would be flying across his back.
It involved a lot of carefully placed reflect threads and tricks of the yes, but he managed to pull it off; it would be perfection. He had been excited about the big reveal
Dan glanced around his home, his eyes ranking over the fabrics and hastily drawn designs tapped to the walls. It had become a safe haven, a comfortable nest that he knew would one day be a grave, but now that the time had come, he was sad this would be his last sight.
tic tic tic tic
Danny was likely out there trying to run from the inevitable. Dan could picture him grabbing his chest and begging the bomb to stop. He would tease the boy if it wasn't in such poor taste.
Dan looks back at his unfinished masterpiece. A sense of dread and regret pools in his stomach, making his arms feel heavy. He still forces himself to pick up his needle and goes back to threading.
His fingers were no longer steady; they shook far too much, but he pushed through the sluggish feeling and carefully added more lines to the little boy he had added. He heard the final judge was once an acrobat with his family.
He figured he could use some personal points with him. A sad smirk graces his lips as the ticking gets louder and louder, drowning out the sound of his human heart. A wave of fear rocks him nearly off his feet.
Only when the screaming starts does he realize it wasn't just his human body being annoying and inconvenient with its emotional outburst. Instead, the feeling of his legs trembling was due to his house being rocked as someone had broken his door by smashing through it.
Whoever they were also seemed to have gotten a good chunk of the wall. It left a massive hole in his home, which he just knew Danny would find a way to blame him for.
Hey, at least avoiding the stupid lecture from the actual kid was one positive of his pending death!
Dan doesn't bother waving away the dust that kicks up, even if his human eyes burn with the urge to slam them close.
He stays rooted to his spot, half glancing over his shoulder as a tall, muscular man stands from the rumble. Besides the dust that covers him, the stranger doesn't seem to be affected by running through solid walls- Dan was pretty sure the house Clockwork gifted them was so old that it was built of pure bricks.
Or maybe his luchador mask was hiding a grimace of pain.
He's standing in the kitchen, meaning he has a perfect view of the living room and the stranger glancing around. Dan could keep watching him, rush out, and fight the idiot disrespecting their haunt and him, but what use would that be? There was no need to follow ghost traditions.
He was dying very soon, and he wanted to finish the suit's wings.
Dan turns back to his work, ignoring the approaching footsteps. There is a soft gasp as the home invader stands behind him, saying nothing as Dan carefully threads one, two, or three more lines. The silence is loaded, heavy with an emotion he has no mental capacity to understand.
The silence stretches on for a few minutes as Dan threads more until the stranger clears his throat pointingly.
Without turning around, Dan scoffs, "Unless you're about to apologize for breaking my house, shut the hell up."
"I thought you were in danger," the man huffs as if embarrassed and amused in equal parts. "I wasn't really thinking when I broke down the wall."
"Makes sense. You look like the kind of man that doesn't think too often." Dan acknowledges with a head nod.
The luchador laughs heartily. "You have your mother's sharp tongue."
"What do you know about my mother?"
Another long pause, just enough for Dan's chest to ache with another tidal wave of ticking as if the bomb wanted him to know it was attached to his very soul. He rocks slightly to the side, his vision going blurry, but he snaps his head back to his work. He needs to finish.
"I know she was the only woman I ever loved, and I should have gone back for her."  The Spanish catches Dan off guard. He's gotten so used to only speaking that language with Danny, as he rarely left his house, and at the Fashion competitions, they were the only Spanish speakers.
Pausing in his work, he twists around to study the Luchador, only to realize the man has walked closer. He was unnecessarily close, and if Dan were a lesser man, he would have stepped back.
But Dan hadn't been a mere man in the last two decades, so he stood his ground. A hint of pride blooms in the masked man's eyes as he frowns at him.
He tilts his head back, staring upwards at the man towering over him, at least three heads taller than Dan—though that would have been different if he were still in his original body. The stranger would only be one head taller.
"Who are you?" Dan demands.
"My name is Bane." The man reveals with gusto that hearing a four-letter name was a great honor. "And I am your father."
Dan stares momentarily, thinking the words are so stupid that he doesn't know what else to do. Bane mistakes his silence for a shock because he starts telling an insane story of being born to serve his father's life sentence in prison, growing up in prison, and being forced to undergo experiments with a drug called Venom.
How Bane broke out of the prison and killed anyone in his way on the way out in his late teens. He survived on the streets, dodging bounty hunters and the poison of Santa Prisca's general populace.
Until he encountered a young, untrained witch who could take him down with her pitiful spells that relied on death magic. She only had one spell book and half the time, the spells didn't even work, but she never let that stop her, using her fists and metal pipe when her spells failed. The two join forces to take down the prison and their labs permanently.
Bane did it for revenge for his childhood they stole from him, and the witch did it to try and find her brother, who went missing years ago. They found him before Venom could be pumped into his system, and the three lived together for a few years until the brother escaped to America after they got into trouble with someone far more dangerous than a corrupted scientist and prison.
Bane followed a few years after, breaking the young witch's heart in a foolish effort to make something bigger of himself. He had asked her to marry him and go with him to America, but she had refused because she had learned he was going to the States to create a crime empire. She was tired of evil men bringing their crimes into her life.
He found out much later he left her alone pregnant with a bounty higher than anyone else on that island. To protect her children, she vanished.
"I tried to go back," Bane whispers. "I tried to find her, make it up to her. Even if she would not marry me, at least bring her somewhere safe. By the time I was able to pick up her tail, it was too late. She was gone. All that was left of her were her two twin sons. She gave her life to make sure you got here safely. I didn't approach you because she also didn't want my dirty work to ruin your lives."
Dan holds up a hand, voice in a flat, deadpan, " Wow, that's so sad. You have the wrong pair of twins."
Bane shakes his head. "I understand you find it hard to believe. But I know your mother was Marina, just as you are mine."
"Her name was Madeline." Dan corrected with a scoff, "She wasn't some damsel in distress that you're painting her out to be. She could kick your ass."
Bane laughs almost sadly. "She always did."
Right.
"Look, I have a suit I need to finish, so unless you have a DNA test to prove your story, I'm going to-"
"I already checked our DNA." Bane cuts him off, stepping closer. "I can show it to you later. But for now, we have to go. Your brother was taken this afternoon, and it's not safe-"
Dan reels back a fist, letting it fly straight into Bane's chin. The man flies back, releasing a grunt of pain when he slams against another wall- causing it to crumble. Good thing he was dying. It would be such to be homeless. He huffs out a breath, twisting back to his suit.
He should include more metallic shimmering red fabric instead of a bright shade of red. He pinches a roll between his fingers, squinting down at it when he feels something stab him in the neck.
"I'm sorry. I failed Marina once. I won't do it again." Bane says somewhere to his left. Dan doesn't have time to respond before he feels a liquid fire pushed through his veins.
He glances at the needle sticking out of his neck with eerie calm. "Rude."
His world turns black as the ticking in his chest comes to a scorching stop. Somewhere, an Ancient smiles as his game pieces fall into place for the final curtain call.

Even worse smooching Alfred while baking coolie with him
Old Timers
Clockwork x Alfred
Alfred had never hidden his marriage from the young masters. Sure, he wore his ring on a chain around his neck, but he never made any move to hide it. He also never hid his own abilities in duplicating himself. How else would he be able to keep the manor clean?
Still, none of them had ever asked any questions. Now, he had to do the awkward business of telling them his husband and his husband’s adoptive children would be coming to stay for a short period of time.
He hoped the young masters wouldn’t bother the children too much. The poor children needed a rest.

Prompt 230
He's been given many names over the eternities.
Kronos. Time. Ouroboros. The World Serpent. It comes with being an Ancient. With being one of the oldest primordial being of them all. Only his own parent, Infinity itself was older.
He was an unstoppable force, no matter what the Observants wished to think, their chains akin to mosquito bites- if that- as they shattered.
Clockwork is his favorite name he decided long ago, when he'd first seen the possibilities of the world his so-called employers complained he had obsessed over.
Yet how could he not? This world had given him children after all. Ghostlings all his own, human and not, mortal and more. Invisible to his machinations and strumming of the strings of Fate.
And here he lay, curled in a bed he had no need for but had meticulously crafted for the Cores he held against himself so lovingly. His own little bit of Space, a smaller Moon and Sun, joined by Life and Storm and Sea and Ore. Newborn Ancients in their own right, Cores unstable and cracked from the actions of mortals who did not understand, who could not.
Perhaps, he pondered, it was best.
They might be Ancients under their own rights, but they were still young. Too young, their very essence risking collapsing under their own power unless he did something.
Clockwork crooned a lullaby in the words of Reality, running a finger across one of the cracks before picking the core up. And swallowing it.
One by one until they were safe. Protected. Able to use his own energy to stabilize their own instinctively. He hummed a song he knew by heart, by Core, and let the clocks tick on. He had much work to be done.
His ghostlings only deserved the best after all.

Jason is a Teenage Dad
Woke up to see my phone open to my notes app and all it says on it is:
Jason is a Teenage Dad
- Jason is 15 and fucking dies.
- Clockwork shenanigans
- Jason drags his body out of the Lazarus
- Meets the eyes of a 3 year old Danny playing with the Joker’s decapitated head.
- Jason takes the child home. It is his now.
So, obviously, I gotta write about it. Enjoy this post based on the vision of delirious 4 am me.
……………….
Clockwork was bored. You would think the ability to see everything everywhere all at once would be overwhelming but it’s actually boring. There’s no suspense when you always know what’s going to happen. But that was all part of his job as the Ancient of time.
Every universe was scripted out. Each one was slightly different from the last, but it still had the same major things in there. For instance, there was always a Gotham in every universe. Sometimes the city itself, sometimes a comic book about the place as if it were fictional. The same with Amity Park except that one universe made it an anime instead of a kids show which was…. A choice.
Most of the time Clockwork just had to make sure that catalyst events happened no matter what the timeline. Like the adoption of Jason Todd. Or the death of Danny Fenton. The meteor that killed the dinosaurs. Stuff like that. Universes that didn’t have enough catalyst events like that tended to implode on themselves if some new event didn’t take its place.
Clockwork was looking at a universe at the moment that was definitely close to being expired. Could he let it happen? Sure. He could. But that wouldn’t have been much fun to watch.
In the universe he was looking at currently, Danny Fenton has all but disappeared at least according to the locals of Amity Park. Which wasn’t that bad. Easily fixable. However the much larger problem was that Jason Todd just died the wrong way. In most universes where his death took place, it always happened that same way as it was a catalyst event for that universe. Jason gets beat up by the joker and then dies in an explosion. Then he gets revived and healed by some assassins in a pit of really fucked up ecto. Standard procedure.
However in the universe Clockwork was looking at, Jason died due to the crowbar. There was no bomb. Infact, Batman didn’t even arrive to the scene until much later than he did in every other universe. The strangest part though, was that after killing Jason Todd, the Joker threw him into the Lazarus himself. There was no downtime or buffer. This kid was going to be alive again by the end of the week and unless Clockwork did some timeline adjustments, it was enough that the entire universe was inevitably going to fall apart.
Obviously fixing it wouldn’t be hard to do. If he did it the easy way. To rewrite Jason’s death. But that was kind of boring. So, Clockwork had a better idea.
Jason gasped suddenly and he felt liquid enter his lungs. He opened his eyes to see green. All around him. Shit, if he inhaled anymore liquid he could drown. So he started to try to swim towards what he thought was the surface. His body felt odd and disconnected from his brain making it hard to move but he kept going. He had to keep going. He didn’t want to die.
Finally, he felt his hand break the surface and latch onto a ledge. He pulled himself out of the green glowing Lazarus, trying to cough up as much liquid as possible.
Memories started to flood back to him. The fight. His mom. The Joker. The fucking crowbar. And most notably, no Batman. Batman never came. He was going to kill B for that.
Jason took a few deep breaths and let himself look around. His eyes immediately locked onto a child. Looked to be about 3. Pale with black hair and blue eyes. The boy was sitting with his legs crossed, covered in blood. He was playing with… something?
Jason couldn’t help but worry for the kid, hoping he did t fall into the pit. It was a dangerous place to be especially alone. Jason sat up to get a better look.
The moment he did, he saw the toddler’s eyes dart right into his own, the blue overpowered by a sudden glow of green. Lazarus green. A look of fear ran over the boy’s face as he froze in place.
Jason felt something in his chest churn, almost as if he could feel the fear dripping off of the child. He didn’t want to scare him. He didn’t want to hurt him. He wanted to get them both somewhere a bit more safe.
Jason stared at the boy, trying to not look menacing. He wanted him to know he could trust him. He felt whatever that new something inside his chest was also try to reach out. Jason didn’t notice when his own eyes turned green, but he did notice that the boy’s attitude shifted very quickly.
The toddler’s eyes went back to blue as the look of fear mostly washed out of his face. There was still some apprehension but it seemed that the two of them had silently come to an agreement of sorts that they were not enemies at least.
Jason looked down from the boy’s eyes and into his hands and whatever animosity Jason had within him was completely washed away. This kid had been through something horrific. In the toddler’s small arms was the decapitated and now decaying head of the Joker. Jason’s murderer.
Jason suddenly felt like this child in front of him was more important than anything else. Whatever he had gone through to land him in this place with that head was fucking over. Jason was going to protect this kid until the day he fucking died. Again. This child had gone through unimaginable things and Jason inherently knew that even though he knew nothing about this kid’s story, he was was going to be one of the very few who could really understand what he was going through.
“What is your name?” he asked as softly as he could.
The boy quietly responded in almost a whisper, “Danny.”
This kid was his kid now. To hell with wherever he came from. Jason was now a dad.
Bruce was distraught. Devastated. Completely inconsolable. Jason, his son, was dead. The Joker had confirmed it with a video of him laughing over the dead body. That was a week ago now. Bruce didn’t know what to do. He failed Jason. He wasn’t there when he should have. He couldn’t save him.
He had gotten delayed when he found out where Jason had gone and tried to go after him when a kid he’d seen at a few galas before, Tim was dropped out of the sky landing right on top of him with a post it note safety pinned to his back. He ignored it at the time as he was a little preoccupied.
After he got up again after the initial shock and realized it was just a kid, he tried to calm the nerves of young Tim who described watching his die and then being teleported into the sky and dropped. There was a chance that if Batman’s body hadn’t cushioned the fall, he would have been seriously injured.
He knew he couldn’t leave the young kid there by himself. And he knew that he had to find Jason. He didn’t want to bring him along either but the boy insisted that he wanted to come. Was it smart? No. Did he end up bringing Tim with him? Well yes. He was running out of time after all.
But Batman didn’t make it. The place was empty except for the dead body of Jason’s mother and a lot more blood that was undoubtedly his son’s.
Bruce was currently lying in his bed. He hadn’t gone out to do anything except for patrols. It was the only thing he could focus on. It was the the only thing he could bring himself to do. Bruce Wayne had the time to grieve for Jason Todd. Batman on the other hand did not have that. He had to remain vigilant and consistent. More importantly he had to find the Joker and send him away for killing Jason. Which would have been a lot easier if he hadn’t completely disappeared.
Bruce stared at the nightstand. It had the post it note that Tim had on his back when he fell. He had read it hundreds of times. But he didn’t want to believe it. It was just more proof that Jason was dead.
He took the post it note from the nightstand and read it again, hoping it was different. It was not.
Take this kid home. He’s Robin now :)
Tim didn’t really know what to do. His plans had come to fruition much faster than he had anticipated. After watching g his parents die, he had sworn to himself that he would find Bruce Wayne, the Batman, and convince him to let him help fight the evil of the city. But he didn’t expect that the moment he made that decision he would he plucked off his feet by unseen hands and then suddenly dropped from the sky.
That was over a week ago. Now, he was sitting on a large sofa in Wayne Manor. He was thinking. All he really had time to do was think. He had seen his first crime scene at Batman’s side and afterwards was brought back to the manor. He was left alone. He hadn’t seen Bruce hardly at all.
He wanted to do more. Go out and help with something. Anything. But Alfred wouldn’t let him go anywhere. So all he could do was think.
Did anything that had happened since his parent died make any sense? No. Joker deviated from his MO. But why? It was so different than anyone would have expected. There was no spectacle or epic battle with the Batman. He was just gone with a dead body behind. Nothing else.
And that was AFTER Tim was teleported into the middle of the sky. If he just had more resources, maybe a computer or some books that he could dive into to, he could figure it out. There had to be SOME reason. Right? But he had already checked the books in the manor library and Alfred wouldn’t let him into the poorly hidden Batcave. He only had his own thoughts.
He would grieve his parents with that time but he could also just as easily do that later. Besides, he had already decided he was going to become a vigilante and help the Batman. And most importantly, there was a puzzle in front of him that he wanted to solve more.
Jason knocked on the door the manor. He was nervous to see B again. Since according to newspapers he had been gone for a week. He knew his dad was gonna be mad that he went to see his mom. And mad he was gone so long. Jason knew he was going to get chewed out for it but he just wanted to be home. Especially since he was going to need help raising Danny. He didn’t know how adoption worked and Jason was only 15 but he was sure B knew how to do all that.
Danny was currently in his arms. He was so small compared to Jason now. Before he had died, he was wasn’t nearly this big. Jason had muscle sure but he was still relatively lean. Now, Jason was built more like a brick house. His shoulders were wider than a typical doorway and he was much taller, at least 6’4.
Danny was sleeping at the moment. He still had the Jokers head in his arms. He hadn’t been able to convince the kid to let it go. Which was fine. Jason didn’t really know what to do with it anyways.
Some shuffling was heard and then the door opened. Alfred was staring back at him.
“Hey sorry I was gone,” Jason said, not really sure what else to say.
Alfred looked from Jason to Danny to Jason, double take on Danny. His face was hard to read. Jason was kind of nervous.
Alfred stepped out of the doorway. Behind him was B.
“Jason!?”
“Yeah. Hi.”

DC X DP PROMPT #13
The world was officially ending. There wasn't much they could do. The Justice League had fought valiantly against the invading force, but they stood no chance. Their king was dying at the hands of these mortal fools and they would have their retribution.
Bruce couldn't find his kids, he couldn't find anyone really. Deep down he knew he was the last one standing, but that thought had yet to catch up with him. Bright swirling green caught his eye through the thick smog of death. A lone figure stepped out, glowing a bright blue with staff in hand.
His name was Clockwork, and he had an ultimatum. He would reverse the timeline, even tweak it a little, if only to take on one extra child and prevent this whole war before it could even begin. Through all of Bruce's contingencies, this was not one of them.
Bruce is now sent back, way back in time where he gets a second chance at his family. The small tweaks Clockwork spoke of? He gets to have his kids as babies.

Batboy is back baby!
First | Previous | Next
(Back to the regularly scheduled idiots)
Life was not quite back to normal. Danny's lack of wings meant he didn't hang from the ceiling anymore. He also started eating less, he wasn't as much of a fiend for fruits anymore. The white fur collar he had started shedding until there was only a thin layer left.
Danny slept most of the day only moving to new spots occasionally. He would choose the most inconvenient spots as well. Like the roof.
One such day Danny was sleeping soundly in the midday sun when a portal opened behind him. A hand grabbed Danny by the ankle back onto the Ghost Zone. He only managed a single yelp before he was face to face with Clockwork.
"What part of come back do you not understand?" He scolded holding the boy in the palm of his hand.
Danny rolled over in the icy blue hand and sighed. He didn't bother looking up at "Kronos" in his titan form. He knew that it meant that his mentor was in a very bad mood.
"Now look at you. You have bearly staved off going into stasis. You are not fully formed yet young man and can't survive in the physical realm without an energy source. What have you been feeding on other than your own energy reserves?!" He lectured before another voice cut in.
"Go easy on him my love. Let me." Nocturne soothed taking Danny into his hands.
Danny was thankful for a moment before realizing that Nocturne's head was that of a ram which meant he was also mad.
Its very easy to read the emotions of god-level entities. The more imposing and non-humanoid the worse they feel.
"Daniel...what did I tell you to do late time we spoke?" Nocturne's red eyes narrowed, and his horizontal pupils shrank.
Danny knew this was a trap.
"Speak boy." Nocturne ordered.
"To return-"
"To return to the realms!" Nocturne bleated "And yet you stubbornly remained. Now look, you are practically wilting away! You are still a millennia too young to be this reckless. I should ban you from the physical realm. Putting you in a dream bubble for a century would teach you a lesson."
Danny knew that this was a bluff. Nocturne was a huge softie and never went through with a punishment. Clockwork on the other hand never made false promises.
" No, my Lamb. We shouldn't. Not yet at least." Clockwork sighed "For now we should concern ourselves with helping him recover."
Danny sighed with relief as the Titans let him go for now.
He had to leave a note for Dick that he would be at his homeworld for a few days. Clockwork also left a note to assure Dick that Danny was in good hands and is also being grounded.
Recovery by ghost standards was similar to humans.
Ambient ectoplasm could heal with enough time but it's by no means fast. It would take years for Danny to get back to his old self. When Danny first came back after being torn open the recovery was painfully slow without proper care. If Clockwork hadn't stepped in then Danny would still be in that state.
The first step is food. Despite what you'd think ghosts eat. They all have to eat something to survive, but they all just have their favorite foods.
Nocturne was a desire eater.
Clockwork by nature ate everything
Danny himself is a fear eater.
Fear eaters are the most common among ghosts.
But these are abstract foods.
Physical foods also exist. Ghosts cultivate foods of their own.
Danny's favorites are a bowl of Ice Scream with Ambrosia chunks, neck-tarine lemonade, the devil's eggs, and candied meal worms.
It sure beats eating honeyed dates, bread, and cheese with Clockwork and Nocturne. But a growing ghost has to eat alter food to grow in power.
So Danny can only eat offerings until further notice.
Clockwork also sent Danny to do tasks and training.
"You need to steel your mind. Your perception of yourself is too flimsy. The more you believe yourself to be small or a child the more your body becomes so. The more negative emotions you direct at yourself the worst you will appear." Clockwork droned on and on showing Danny complex diagrams about how to properly use his powers.
The time ghost had been firm about not teaching Danny any new abilities until he got this down.
Danny was not enthusiastic. He bearly made it though the first lecture on this.
"Give him a break. How about letting me show him some examples?" Nocturne said entering the room with a tray of tea. "Come with me. We'll go to the menagerie."
For the next few days, Danny was given a crash course on biology and mental conditioning. He practiced changing his form as quickly as possible and accurately copying. Nocturne was strict but fair. Nocturne was actually one of the best when it came to shifting.
On the last day, Danny hugged his mentors goodbye for now. Clockwork made sure to fasten a talisman around Danny's neck that would keep them in contact and help Danny control his power better so he didn't lose too much energy. Nocturne handed Danny a bag of golden Ambrosia for the road.
And like that, Danny was back home. Recharged and ready.

Dick tried not to be worried about Danny. He understood that since he wasn't entirely human he had to recover differently. But you can't blame him for feeling anxious.
Going missing once was problem enough.
When he returned to the apartment the first thing to greet him when he opened the door was something fuzzy flying at his face.
That fuzzy thing was a squeaking sliver bat that had somehow go in the house.
Dick peeled it off his face as the bat gleefully chirped at him.
"How did you get in little guy? Did Damian hide you in here?" Dick said as the Bat climbed up his suit.
Suddenly a heavy weight pressed down on him as the albino bat turned into Danny. Dick toppled to the floor.
"Dad!! Look! I finally did it! I flew!" Danny said leaning over Dick and smiling from ear to ear. His blue eyes flashed green.
Dick was stunned silent as he took in the last few seconds.
Did Danny call him dad?
