This is my ace pin. I also have a marble rhinocerous but thats downstairs and i cant be bothered to get it.
They were both given to me by my mother. The ace pin because im ace, and the rhino because she thought it might be a good stimming item. We dont talk about autism or sexuality much. But she gave these to me. Its a small gesture but both made me cry. To know that she accepts me enough to support me to do what i want/need to do.
And yeah i just wanted to share that... Sorry.....

Mainstream acceptance of the LGBTQ+ community continues to grow in the United States. But Republicans and their fellow travelers on the far right still think that homophobia is a winning issue for them.
It's true that trans acceptance is lagging, but even that is headed up rather than down.
In 2004, GOP-controlled state legislatures used anti-gay marriage ballot initiatives to try to drive up far right voter turnout in the presidential election that year. While all 11 ballot initiatives succeeded, it's unclear how much effect they had on the actual presidential vote.
So the use of homophobia by Republicans to excite their base is nothing new. But this far into the 21st century it will bring them diminishing returns.
Small but hyperactive groups of hatemongers have taken it upon themselves to engage in high profile activities designed to undermine support for the LGBTQ+ community. Their pressure on Bud Light and Target are examples of such actions.
Politicians and businesses need to understand that there are more disadvantages than advantages for them to cave in to the anti-LGBTQ+ hate campaigns.

My dad has a little gag he loves doing that involves me being trans (it’s fun- don’t worry).
So, my dead name is also the name of a food item (spelled different but sounds the same). We sometimes eat that food item- it’s a nice treat. His little joke is that he will only call that food “Dead Names”- which leads to hilarious instances of hearing my 70 year old father call out “Hey, I’m going to go grab some Dead Names while we’re here!” while he’s half way down the isle in the grocery store, or him coming home and saying “hey, I picked up a box of Dead Names while I was out! :)”
It just makes me so overwhelmingly happy that my old name is not something wrapped in grief. It doesn’t represent a loss. It is something we can smile about and remember even if it doesn’t fit me anymore.

some things about nonbinary ppl because some peeople are ignorant:
not all of us are afab (i really fucken wish this tiktok girls would stop assuming that because it's just not true)
not all of us want to be called an enby, that makes some people uncomfy and everyone needs to respect that
not all of us go (or want to go) through hrt
not all of us use they/them prns or neo pronouns
some ppl use just he/him or she/her and that is fine because it's your own person
not all of us name ourselves just. words. like "sock" or "blue" (no hate of course to the people who do, those names are very cool, but it still is a stereotype and it's annoying when ppl genuinely assume this outside of being meme-y)
not all of us dress androgynously and we dont have to
and lastly, none of us owe anybody else anything because it's our gender, and it's no one else's business

petition to make cishetallo the norm instead of just cishet please
edit: badly phrased post, apparently. my point is when referring to non-queer people, if you're not going to say non-queer, put an 'allo' somewhere in there. where you put it does not matter.
edit 2: the 'het' does not exclude ace people. demisexual homosexual: someone who only feels attraction to people of the same gender after they have formed an emotional connection.

Greetings, happy April which means happy autism awareness & acceptance month.
As we state every year, Autism Speaks isn’t the “autism advocacy” support group you think it is. Autism Speaks is full of ableism (and 🧩). Autism Speaks is primarily focused on autistic CHILDREN, they refuse to acknowledge that autistic children turn into autistic adults. So please, don’t go buying that AS (BS) merch at Walmart.
What’s wrong with 🧩?
Puzzle pieces say that there is something wrong with autistic people, therefore “there is a missing piece” or that we need a cure for our autism.
What can I use instead of 🧩?
The infinity symbol. ♾️ After all, the infinity symbol signifies unity.
What organizations can I support instead of Autism Speaks?
There’s organizations like Autistic Women & Non-binary Network (AWN) and Yellow Ladybugs who both support autistic women & gender diverse individuals.
And as always, we need acceptance AND awareness, not one or the other. Let’s also acknowledge the whole spectrum of autism, not just bits and pieces.
This is just a short piece I wanted to write up. Let’s also acknowledge that April is also for sexual assault awareness and deaf history.
Ciao,
Azhtynn E. Myllo 🏳️‍🌈

be careful with digging yourself deeper and deeper into a hole of misery and self hatred because even when you stop digging you will still be in a hole. learn to climb any way you can. do not let them bury you.
[IMAGE ID: "transness is not quantified by how much you hate yourself but by how much you could love yourself" in white wavy text with a pink border. the background is light pink and decorated with hearts and stars of varying sizes in white and dark pink. END]

I said it once and i'll say it again the sooner the queer community drops the idea of the straight Boogeyman the better off we will all be. The sooner y'all accept that straight people can also be queer the easier it becomes to accept identities you don't understand.
Straight and queer are not opposite. They aren't contradictory. They aren't mutually exclusive. If you can accept that cis people can still be queer then straight people can to.
Straight trans people exist. Straight aspecs exist. They are all still queer. Grow the fuck up and get over it instead of throwing a fit because things are not about you.
