Researchers from the University of Indianapolis are investigating the experiences of queer individuals and their usage of social media, specifically the ways in which people use social media to facilitate identity development. If you are an adult (18 years or older) who are questioning their gender or sexual identity or who identify with a gender or sexuality that is non-cisgender or non-heterosexual, you are invited to take our survey! You can skip questions or exit the survey at any point, and it won’t cost you anything besides your time. There are no direct benefits to you, but your participation will help up is our research. In appreciation, you will be given the option to enter a drawing for one of four $20 Amazon gift cards. Participation is voluntary, and all responses will be kept confidential. If you choose to enter the drawing for a gift card, your email will be separated from your responses and will not be used for any other purpose.

Just found a research study that claims that consistent exposure to high g-forces can impact sperm quality to the point where the ratio of male to female offsprings leans in the favour of female offspring being more prevalent. 

Now I’m thinking about all the F1 driver-dads I know of and most of their children are female?? I need to know more on this (doesn't seem to be many sources/studies on this) but I’m mind blown

Research Study: Fandom & Generative AI still looking for participants!

I'm interested in understanding fans' perspectives on and experiences with generative AI (text and image generation software). That means perceptions both positive and negative! However you feel about genAI, I'm interested in hearing from you. We're especially seeking diverse perspectives from underrepresented demographic groups of people.

Hi, I'm a queer student writing a research paper on how displays of affection between people of different genders are interpreted, and I'm looking for responses for an anonymous survey! I need as much data as I can get to draw reliable conclusions ^_^

Inspired by my fujosisters analyzing ship moments, I wrote some M/M, F/F, and M/F vignettes for you to rate on a platonic/romantic scale. It'll take about six or so minutes to complete, nothing too long

My name is Rachel (she/they), I'm a master's student in the third year of my clinical counseling program at Alvernia University, as well as a queer masters-level therapist at the Counseling Collective in PA. My professor, Dr. Anthony Vajda, and I are conducting a a study titled "Weight Bias and its Occlusion of Gender Identity Development in Transgender Individuals" and we’re looking for folks to participate!

If you are currently 18 years old or older, identify as transgender or under the transgender umbrella, and are willing to share your opinions about weight stigma and transgender-related topics, you qualify!

If you agree to participate, you will take the survey, which takes 10-15 minutes to complete. All information collected from this survey is anonymous and will be treated as strictly confidential. The original draft for this post Tumblr decided to just up and delete, so here's take 2. A lot more clinical and scientific, since I want this to double as a research reference.

For those who saw my original post regarding this topic (linked below for convenience of those who did not), I am a former traumagenic system trying to bring back my alters using the painless methods developed by endogenic systems. I am also using myself as an experiment specimen to further research for endogenic systems.

My experiment will start with 2 alters. The first, an alter from my original system. A former little named Sky who aged up and became a caregiver for the other littles, and retained their original purpose as a fragment of childlike joy by developing age regressions.

(Keep in mind most of my alters were formed in 2019 when I was a small gacha creator, even though my system originally formed much earlier. This is my attempt to revamp her design while also making her accurate to my memory. Ages of my alters will all be omitted like my own to avoid creeps, as some of them are minors.)

The second is an entirely new alter I am going to try and develop at the same time, to record the differences in speed and experiences with both. They are currently unnamed, but if you have name suggestions for it, please leave them in the comments. (Think storybook animals or characters from old movies taking place in a small town in the middle of south-nowhere)

As of right now (Wednesday, May 28, 2025) I have experienced a buzz in the back of my mind, like I used to when I had alters, and the sensation of someone else in the front observing me. If I had to guess who it was, I would guess the unnamed rabbit. It didn't feel like Sky's presence used to, according to my memory.

There's a lot of talk on western colonialism this, western colonialism that. Other forms of colonialism go under-researched and under-discussed. So, wanted to let you know, there's a study on colonialism - specifically, russian, Chinese and Japanese colonialism, and how it impacted people that were colonised by them.

Looking to make moots with college students who are interested in biology and need someone to infodump to. I’m in art school majoring in illustration but all my life i wanted to also study biology. I approach art in a very scientific almost forensic manner and i really really enjoy learning about microbiology (especially mycology) rapid evolution of all life forms living within high levels of radiation.
