Batman gives each of his Robins a different code to use when they’re in trouble and need immediate extraction. He promises that when they call, he’ll drop everything just to get to them, come hell or high water.

Jason, during his time with the League, shares his code with Damian, to be used “only in the direst of circumstances, when you have exhausted all other options.” He doesn’t know if Bruce will answer, given how fractured their relationship was before he died, but it is better than nothing. Every tool counts when they live such dangerous lives.

Damian uses it exactly once, and Bruce, who still feels the loss of his son like a yawning chasm in his chest, responds to it even though he knows it can’t be Jason because Jason’s dead. What he finds, instead of Jason, is a boy in League garbs, drenched in blood from the tips of his midnight-black hair to his too-small feet, with a face that Bruce sees himself and Talia in, requesting asylum from a grandfather who wishes to possess his body. Bruce doesn’t question how this boy who is so clearly his son knew the code. Talia al Ghul is resourceful and places family above all; the code is not beyond her abilities to discover, and she is not above using Bruce’s desperate love for his dead son to ensure that hers does not meet the same fate.

Bruce takes Damian in, because of course he does, and since Jason is dead he allows Damian to keep using the code. After all, it’s not like Jason is alive to use it, right? If someone uses the code, there’s no one it could be but Damian, right?

The next time the code is used, Bruce traces the location to Gotham even though Damian was supposed to be in Bludhaven visiting Dick. But whatever happened that resulted in Damian being in Gotham can wait, because he has already failed one son and he will not fail another, his son is in trouble and he needs to get to him, he needs to—

What he finds, instead of Damian, is a boy (just eighteen, too young, but also too old, but also he will always be a boy to him) in League garbs, drenched in blood from the tips of his midnight-black hair to his too-large feet (when had he gotten so big), wearing the face of his dead son.

(Who, maybe, just maybe, may no longer be so dead.)

I'd imagine he wouldn't get very far after threatening Dan and Jason's kids, but one wrong person saw Red Hood with the twins while he was going to his meeting with his goons and informed the Joker, then of course the elaborate plan of stealing the kiddos, which would be a very hard thing to do but let's say it was one of the times Bruce was babysitting (sorry to anyone who likes Bruce/batman he not my favorite). he's not babysitting ever after that.

Then of course the joker then broadcasts all over asking Red Hood to pick one of his twins, well let's just say Dan watching that would in fact make him go as Murderous as when Jazz died and with being the ghost king.... Well the joker certainly isn't making it out of that one alive....

And of course I have favorite kisses. I love a good kiss. In my definition of a good kiss, it doesn't need to be the perfect angle or the perfect "lip-touching", I don't know, people rate such scenes differently. For me it is more about the emotions I could feel during that kiss, the build-up or if there is a special detail that really catches my breath. I guess you'll understand, what I mean when you see my choices.

This is not a ranking! It is in alphabetical order, not just because I don't want to rank them, but because I am lazy.

Bad Buddy

The iconic rooftop kiss. The whole build-up was perfect. The tears? The first short kiss followed by this gorgeous kiss filled with all the emotions one person can feel? What is not to like about this kiss!?

Be My Favorite

I was very protective of these two and especially Krist. People were saying, he can't kiss other man because he is homophobic and what is this then? Yes, I remember Sotus. The kisses were.. not good, but I gave Be My Favorite a chance and this kiss was so soft and so full of love and tenderness. I really enjoyed this whole scene a lot! And Kris can kiss.

Boys Be Brave!

This kiss came as a big surprise for me. It is Jinwoo trying to hide from Kisub and the letter finding him what leads to this quiet and beautiful first kiss. I loved everything about it!

Ghost Host, Ghost House

All of there kisses were so good! But I loved the teasing and the chasing in this scene especially. Those two have incredible good chemistry and I wish we could see more of them.

History 3: Make Our Days Count

Oh the desperation for each other was so real in this one. Both wanted each other so bad! But what I loved the most about this whole scene was the way how Sun Bo Xiang reassured Lu Zhi Gang that he desired all of him. So good!

I Feel You Linger In The Air

The most painful and saddest kiss in bl-history! It is such a wonderful scene. Everything about it made me cry and smile at the same time. Gorgeous scene!

Jack and Joker

They finally confessed and kissed for the first time. And what a kiss this was! It left the most of us speechless and a little bit breathless. The way Jack stopped the kiss in the middle to calm Joke down a little bit and they started the kiss again so fucking tender and argh! I love it so much!!!

Love Class 2

Love Class 2 has some really good kisses, but this one was something else! It is one of the softest kisses ever. I don't know how many times I have rewatched this whole scene. Just look at them. You can feel the softness of this kiss! And there were sounds during that scene... they were something else.

Love For Love's Sake

I really didn't expect that kiss at the end of this series. I hoped for a tight hug, but hello? Those two and the script kept delivering until the very end. This was pure perfection.

Love Mechanics

Yeah, well... perhaps I am just a sucker for YinWar kissing... I don't know. But every time I see this kiss I want to live in this scene forever and I would be perfectly fine. I am just sitting here, wanting to write about this kiss and I stared at it for an unhealthy period of time and forgot everything else. That is really bad. I love that kiss so much!

My Stand-In

They had some good kisses. This was not one of them, but this specific moment, when Joe gave in to the kiss, I was blown away. He really didn't want to like this kiss, but his heart still wanted it. The emotions!

My Tooth Your Love

Every once in a while there are these cute and small kisses, so ordinary and overlooked. I think these are very important to portrait a good and real relationship. Because kisses don't need to be these big moments in slow-motion and with different angles. Yes, those are nice, but I really adore those "small" ones that show the love between the characters.

Perfect Propose

The reason I picked this scene is because of the build-up. Hirokuni asked Kai not to call him Hiro, but Kai just ignored him and breathed Hiro and followed with this passionate kiss and I was just in awe.

Sing My Crush

I was absolutely not expecting this kiss! I thought we got this dead-fish-kiss and that would be it. I would have love the series nevertheless, but this scene? Damn, Korea! Such a good kiss!

The Heart Killers

I don't think those two are the best kissers in the industry. I think they have some good chemistry without a doubt. But this kiss. This moment here. It was everything for me. I can feel Style's hand on Fadel's head. I can feel it. And I love it! I am not normal about this scene! Everything about these few seconds brings me so much joy. The look on Fadel's face, the hand and everything that happend before and followed afterwards.

The Day I Loved You

This is still one of my favorite rooftop-kisses. For me it is the way they grab each other to pull the other one close. The way they want to crawl into each other, to feel the other person everywhere. Such a perfect first kiss! Such a perfect scene.

To My Star 2

I love these small kisses. I name them "A thousand little kisses". Those kisses make me smile and so happy! There is nothing more to say about it. I love them. To My Star is just an example for many other shows out there with these little kisses.

I loved this whole scene. But this segment of the kiss, this little dance of them, is so good. I can't tell you how many times I just watched this specific scene. How easy Yuan maneuvered Qian around to close the door. How they kept kissing. I... I... nope. There are no words in my head anymore.

Ok ok ok, so we've all seen the Spiderman in Gotham AUs, but what do you think would happen if STEVE ROGERS wound up in Gotham??? Specifically, how would he deal with The Tortures People for Fun Joker?

Ooh, I like this one. I think the critical thing about Steve (from a vigilante perspective) is that he doesn't like killing, it's not his first resort, and he won't do it unnecessarily, but he absolutely will do it if it's clear that this guy won't stop any other way, especially if civilians are in danger.

That said, he also respects the rule of law, and he's now the only true enhanced on the side of the heroes in Gotham, so I think his first couple of run-ins with the Joker would probably end similarly to the way they would if it was Batman. Joker gets bruised up a bit, tackled away from whatever he was doing, trussed up and stuck in Arkham.

The exception is if Steve turns up in Gotham during a very critical point with a very specific Robin, because he's going to see a man cackling and beating a masked child with a crowbar. And, see, Steve had a masked kid follow him around once (if we mean comics!Steve), and that masked kid got hurt too, and yes he came back, but he didn't come back the same. He came back hurt and used in ways Steve would have given anything to protect him from. All of which is to say, I don't think the Joker actually lives long enough to know what hit him in this scenario.

But let's go back to somewhat less angsty AUs. The Joker, at this point, when he's been stopped and dropped in Arkham a couple of times, is likely to write Steve off as another man with a moral code he can manipulate. Which, fair, Steve is a man with a moral code, but the Joker's vision has been skewed by Batman, and he assumes all heroes have a no kill code. He proceeds to set up the same kind of mind games he would with Batman - he takes hostages, he hurts hostages, and he relies on 'well you'll never take lethal measures' to protect him. He might even throw in a few taunts. 'How easy it would be, if you weren't such a hero, with those clean hands.'

But Steve has an answer to that, an easy one. 'I'm not a hero. The guys who didn't come back, they're the heroes. I'm just trying to live up to them. And maybe my hands aren't clean. But the blood of a man who tortures children won't dirty them.'

At which point, RIP Joker.

Bruce doesn't know what to think of this.

Alfred, who hides guns in the mansion, even if he bows to Bruce's sentiments enough to use non-lethal rounds, has a new favourite person. (This does not displace any of his other favourite people, of course.)

Gotham winds up in the very interesting situation where, if you're a criminal, the Batman is no longer the man you fear most. The Batman is terrifying. He steps out of dark alleys like he materialised there, beats the daylights out of you, and leaves you for the cops, but you know he won't kill you.

No, the man you fear most, if you live in Gotham's underbelly, is the one with the shield and the star-spangled outfit. Because that shield is for defence, but it's for the defence of the innocent. And if you are a man who endangers the innocent, the man who carries that shield will not hesitate to stop you the permanent way.

Batman gives Gotham hope. Hope that will never stay down no matter how hard you hit or how badly you hurt it. Batman, ironically, is the light of dawn at the darkest of night, promising that a new day can come.

Captain America gives Gotham justice. Justice that will not be turned aside by crooked cops or Arkham's revolving door or hostages. Captain America is the light of righteousness that burns away what is evil. His justice can be tempered with mercy, but his kindness is not to be manipulated.

Together, they lead Gotham into a brighter future.

Bruce Wayne and Steve Rogers are mutually unsure what to do with each other. Their upbringings and philosophies are so different that I think it would be hard for them to be friends, at least at first. Alfred knows perfectly well what to do with both of them and thinks Master Bruce needs a friend who shares his commitment to justice, but also won't bow to his hangups. He invites Steve over for tea. They get on like a very polite house on fire. The current Robin thinks the shield is AWESOME.

However, I think Steve and Bruce share enough common ground that they would work through it eventually. (If we went with the Steve-saves-Jason scenario I think a lot of the wary dancing around each other would get skipped because they'd both be all in on 'save the kid' and only find out about their differences of opinion later.) They are both devoted to justice and the defence of the innocent; they differ on methods, but I honestly think the issues would be mostly on Bruce's side, because Steve is clearly, uncompromisingly good. But he's killed. He may kill again. It depends on how self-aware Bruce is about his no-kill line being a personal thing he can't do without sliding into revenge. If he knows that, and doesn't have an issue with others who don't have that personal knowledge, there might not be problems at all. There would be some entertaining rich-kid-poor-kid differences in worldview, but nothing so serious they couldn't be friends.

Entertainingly, this world also carries the possibility of Cap meeting Superman. I think he and Clark would be friends immediately and Ma Kent would adopt him as soon as she heard of him. No angst there, no confusion of different ideologies. You fight for peace, justice, and the American way? So do I! Same hat! Let's go stop those bad guys. Hey, cool shield!

(At some point in the future: Lex Luthor: Superman, I have your ultimate weakness! Kryptonite! Clark, keeling over: That's great, but have you met my new friend? Steve: *punches Lex* Lex, seeing what looks like a blonde Superman clone: How are you unaffected by this? It's kryptonite! Steve: ...I'm from Brooklyn.)

(Years later: Clark, picking up a kryptonite spear: I have to kill Doomsday. Steve: Gimme that. *yeets spear, impaling Doomsday* Steve: How many times do I have to tell you, *I* use the kryptonite weapons when something from your planet tries to kill us!)

as far as the public knows, there are four robins: family robin, crime alley robin, the female robin, and the assassin robin. only steph, bruce, and dick know about the forgotten robin, tim drake.

tim drake was the robin before steph, the one who pulled bruce out of his depressive pit and saving criminals a trip to the icu, but to steph, he is her best friend and the one she confided in. he found her as spoiler and convinced babs to take her under her wing. he helped her get the title of batgirl. her best friend.

until the joker kidnapped tim and he went missing. everyone scrambled to find him, but during those weeks, steph and bruce argued for hours on end.

one night, via thermal imaging, babs found the jokers dead body in the arkham ruins that they find tim, or what's left of him anyways. steph and bruce go together to check it out and are immediately horrified to see what they find: shock therapy equipment and plenty of serums. hair dye, bleach, and surgical tools are haphazardly discarded on a table near by. a gun was discarded several feet away from the jokers dead body, a bullet wound between his eyebrows.

steph tries to hold herself together as bruce rummages around the ruins to find tim, but eventually breaks when she sees remnants of the robin costume neatly folded on a table with restraints and the robin symbol on top. a post-it note was next to it.

to batgirl, i'm sorry. i am alive. joker junior --tim

she holds the costume close when she cries.

eventually, she takes up the robin mantel and using the journals tim left in drake manor, creates her own costume with alfred. she carefully stitched tim's robin symbol on the left side of her chest, over her heart.

the relationship between her and bruce is strained, but he falls into that depression pit once more, and using tim's methods, she dragged him out of it. they don't talk about tim, dick and babs keep quiet about it too.

five years later, she took up the spoiler mask again, and in charge of a series of murders involving electricity. after the fifth body is found in the arkham ruins and the signature "jj'", realization dawns on the four. everyone else is confused, and soon, steph and bruce are harshly exchanging words.

one night, tim makes contact, and the family begins to argue about what needs to happen. steph told damian she was borrowing robin and changed into the old uniform.

"we can't just send you out there steph," dick argued.

"you can and you will. i was robin when we first encountered junior," a half-lie. "i know him better than any of you, and bruce will just set him off."

"steph," bruce warned.

"you're not changing my mind bruce. i'm going to see hi m whether you like it or not."

"steph."

"no. you let him slip through the cracks last time, so it's my turn now. this isn't about you. this is about me. about jason. about babs. about robin." bruce's eyebrow twitched, his way of flinching. no other words are said when she uses the robin bike to zoom into the streets of gotham and to the meet up spot.

she sees tim on the rooftop with his hair grown out and slightly dyed blue. there were scars on his mouth line and he wore a tshirt with jeans. the reunion was bittersweet, a ton of crying and steph slapping him. she was just happy that he was safe ((after their crying sess, tim realizes she was wearing his design, and began crying again)).

Have you watched Batman Beyond ? If you've watched it, you probably know that Jason Todd's name exists there. However, in my opinion, if he had been there, it would have added a lot to the drama, because Tim would not have been the first Robin to suffer from the Joker.( I would really like to read what you think about this)

despite somehow common hatred towards Joker Junior storyline amongst people, i do like this possible au, actually. in fact, i have an unfinished post about Joker Junior & Jason Todd relationship in my drafts that i will finish once (hopefully!)

i do think that Joker Junior's storyline would change Red Hood's course of action a little. considering that it does prove his point that Batman should have never allowed another kid to jump in the suit after his death. add to this that Batman kinda dumped Tim afterwards out of the guilt (would Jason wonder that if he survived the explosion, somehow Bruce do that to him, too?), leaving confused and broken. i feel like Jason would try to help JJ!Tim out if there was a chance. we already saw him taking Duela Dent under his wing, so despite the common belief, he wouldn't shun away from Joker Junior despite his own trauma and associations. however, i don't think he would encourage JJ!Tim to return in the vigilante world either. not like it would be easy to try to heal JJ, but Jason is Jason.
