So the world is full of problems and being a naive 12 yo, Dani thinks she can fix those problems.
So she follows the best example.
Red hood
And she becomes a crime boss.
And she’s far better than anyone would think. Discreetly taking over various mafias around the world.
Eventually, the anti ecto acts are put in place worldwide.
So Dani (17) and Jazz (21)move to the only place that has citizens that would willingly lie to the government. Danny is in the ghost zone, attempting to evacuate all ghosts on earth dnd then get to work trying to dismantle the AEA. A process that could take over a year or so.
So Dani moves most of her forces to Gotham.
In my mind, Dani’s mobster name is Fantasma btw and her henchmen/loyal workers are called the Draugur.
But Gotham is cursed and over run with violent ghosts, and because Jazz has collage (transferred from Central Collage) and has to keep a job she can’t handle the ghosts.
So Dani is now moonlighting as the vigilante Wraith.
And Jazz is making her go to school during the day (Gotham academy)
While she’s in Gotham, Fantasma catches the attention of the bats because they’re not going to miss what is obviously a big player with a reputation coming into Gotham.
So they send a bat to go undercover
Damian
Damian is like 17 and has just transitioned out of Robin (you can decide whos Robin in his place) and is now (what we vigilante you what him to be, but I’m using Nocturne in this post)
For his first solo mission, he goes undercover as a henchman in the Draugurs. (He wears a mask so he doesn’t get discovered at a Wayne/bat). The only information the bats have is that Fantasma is around his age.
Unsurprisingly, he’s really good at undercover work.
He (undercover name is Crow) quickly makes his way up the ranks.
And he eventually meets the boss Fantasma and becomes her right hand.
And eventually begins to fall for her.
At the same time, he’s trying to catch the new antihero Wraith, who is a very flirty pain in the butt. He’s also been assigned to be the partner of a new student in his class, Danielle, who is incredibly ditzy and clumsy. But she’s not stupid, Damian knows better than to assume that. Especially when she scores highly than him on their geography test.
Basically an entire love hexagon AU including
- henchmen x boss
- vigilante x vigilante/antihero
- academic rivals AU
Relationship guide
Fantasma x Crow- boss that trust her second hand with her life despite not know in his real name. Henchman that is slowly catching feelings and becoming very guilty for lying to her
Nocturne x Wraith- vigilante is getting increasingly irritated by the new Antihero, who thinks the vigilante is hot and flirts with him the entire time they’re together
Dani x Damian- klutzy, clumsy, and popular student ends up having a rivalry with perfect, cold, and outcast over grades and tests. They hate each other.
I love this prompt, and there’s so much I could add to this.
Any thoughts? Would love to hear them!! :))

I will always be a Jason Todd defender, he had every right to become a villain, and every right to kill Batman. Instead, he becomes an antihero who protects those who deserve it but utilizes his darkness to stop the bad guys.

Requested by @averyho, here you go!
Robin III: Cry of the Huntress #1-6 — This is the big one and the beginning of theirrelationship
Showcase ‘94 #5, Robin #6, and Showcase ‘94 #6 — This is a three part crossover storyline
Helena and Tim have some brief interactions in Robin #17 as part of the War of the Dragons crossover (Detective Comics 685, Robin 17, Detective Comics 686)
She also pops in and out of Batman: Contagion, it’s sequel event Batman: Legacy in a vague teaming up with Batman & co way. I will specifically call out Batman: Shadow of the Bat #53 for having a like, two page Tim and Helena scene which is important. To me.
Detective Comics #703 — This one-shot has a Tim and Helena B-plot where they talk about how she stands
Robin #34 — Tim and Helena encounter each other as teacher and student
Robin Annual #6 — they team up and dress up as cowboys. Essential reading.
Everything after this is more scraps, sadly
They’re both in Batman: Outlaws, but I can’t say I recommend Batman: Outlaws any and also I don’t remember if they interacted much in it.
Tim plays a minor role in Batman/Huntress: Cry for Blood, vouching for Helena in issue #3 and shows up to bother her in issue #5. (Though honestly you should read Cry for Blood because it’s just good)
No wait, I lied. Read Joker: Last Laugh #5 and Robin #95 for the time that Huntress discovered Robin’s ‘dead’ body. (And you can also read Last Laugh #6 I guess if you want Dick beating the Joker to death, but there’s not really and Tim & Helena in it despite them both appearing)
Gotham Knights #38-40 — More scraps here, but there are some nice little bits and the storyline’s enjoyable enough. (even if it never gets followed up on ever… I’m not sore grumble grumble)
Batman/Superman #5 — There are a couple fun panels for them in here.
Yeah, sadly, I think that’s all I got.

It started back when he was 16.
His parents found out about him and Vlad thanks to the fruitloop being an idiot and practically outing them both. Danny was so lucky that he had planned for a situation like this. He had go-bags ready with a few changes of clothes, a thermos, some weapons, a star projector, lots of money from Sam and enough medical supplies to make a hospital jealous.
It was a good thing too, after crippling the GIW and destroying all the gear they and the Fentons had they destroyed their research and everything ghost related. Vlad at this point was already dead so he wasn't much of a concern.
Dannys had landed in an alley in a new dimension, only problem now was the parting shot his mother gave him on his back. Due to the placement of it Danny couldn't reach to treat it properly and he didn't know anyone in this dimension who could help him.
Thats when his ghost sense went off. He groaned, hoping he wouldn't have to fight a new ghost in this state when a man in a red helmet (Mask?) walked up to him and motioned for peace.
"I'm not going to hurt you." The man said gently, "I just wanna look at that injury, maybe help."
Danny stared at him. He didn't feel anything off about the guy and Danny prided himself on being a good judge of character. "Okay." He scooted himself around so his back was exposed to the stranger.
"Wow, you're really not from around here." Danny stiffened, had he been tricked? The man made no moves to hurt him, just got to work tending to his wound. The man was swift, and aside from the slight sting of an ointment he didn't recognize there was no pain at all.
Once Danny was all patched up the guy made to leave, "Wait!" Danny called out and the man halted, "Who are you?" The man turned his head to look back at him, still facing away from him, "Red Hood."
As it turned out, Red Hood was the new up and coming crime lord who everyone was talking about. He came seemingly out of nowhere and was making a lot of waves in Gothams underbelly. Gotham...so this was Dannys new haunt.
Danny wanted to protect it but...he wanted to protect Red Hood even more. So when he heard about Red Hood forming a gang he made a decision. He gathered up materials to make his own supervillian outfit- basically an all black outfit with a long hooded coat and combat boots- and to add the finishing touch he put on a all white gas mask that he had made himself, complete with a voice modulator, night vision, heat vision, etc. If Hood ever wanted him to prove it was him he could make his mask glow using his ghost powers. Not that it was needed. Hood seemed to be able to sense him in a similar way that Danny could but in a much much smaller range.
With that being said, hoods men didn't trust him at first, which was fair considering he just started randomly appearing at their operations and helping them out...by force usually. They weren't sure what to make of him but Danny didn't want to go through the usual goon enlistment process as Hood would want to know his name and face and everything else and Phantom was...well a phantom.
Danny liked to hide, even in plain sight. He couldn't deny the little game of cat and mouse they had was fun. Hood would try to follow him home or track him or get him to take off the mask and Phantom would dodge his attempts every time.
It took a while, but Red Hood did eventually come to trust him, going so far as to make Danny his right hand man after 3 years of working together, though that may also be because he had rarely failed any of the tasks Hood had given him.
Maybe thats why he never told any of the bats about him. He had picked up that there was something between Hood and the bats but he never could figure out what it was without prying into his bosses personal life. Still, it was rather shocking when Red Hood showed up one day with a large red bat symbol splayed across his chest.
It also made him look at how freaking chiseled his boss was. He couldn't count how many times he had to drag his eyes away from his abs and chastise himself for thinking that way.
Danny was in love with a man whos face he would never see. But that was fine. He was happier standing by this man's side and yearning than he ever was back in Amity and it wasn't like Hood knew his face or name either.
-----------
He felt like a halfa though an incomplete one. He had a core but it felt hollow, like the soul was forcibly removed somehow and only emotions remained. Hood gained a bad reputation for flying into a monstrous rage but was always calm when Danny was near, a fact that even Red Hood himself seemed to pick up on.
Hood began to fall for his second in command pretty quickly, always trying to feed him and take care of him (as is his love language) while Danny was openly obsessed with assuring Hoods safety and well being even going so far as to use his powers (that no one knows about) to overshadow a computer and hack into the bats systems to make sure Hood was okay after a prolonged period of him being MIA.
The bats are freaked but Danny being Danny gets lucky and they always seem to miss his trail by a hair. Lucky ghost.
Things start going sideways when Fenton tech starts showing up in this new dimension only for Danny to find out his parents have remade the portal and are looking for him. The bats are being hunted by his parents and and the now rogue government agency the GIW. Danny tries to explain things to Hood without compromising his own secrets but once the newest Robin gets captured and Hood freaks Danny puts everything on the line to go rescue the stabby bird.

It's about Bruce not being able to love himself and Cass coming along as the idealized version of what Bruce wishes Batman could be (Not to be confused with Dick as Nightwing which is the idealized version of what Batman could never be) and Bruce being so excited and delighted and willing to pour so much love and trust into Cass and then being hit in the face with the fact that all his own flaws still exist even in this "perfect" mini me, they're just more intense to compensate for the intensity of her heroism. You cannot be Batman without the survivors guilt, without the value of every human life no matter how extreme, without the hours of pushing yourself to ridiculous limits and self harming to make yourself a more effective weapon against evil. And he can either accept these as downsides that must exist for Batman to be perfect or he can try and steer Cass down a healthier path. He has to choose the person or the mission and it's one thing to make that choice for yourself and another thing to enable someone to dehumanize themselves to the same degree. He'd never want anyone else to be like him that's the whole point. But she's already there and she wants it more than anything and she views Batman as salvation instead of a curse so what's the right choice? What can he do to help? Perfect for a year or mediocre for a lifetime?

Something people who haven't read Helena Bertinelli don't get is Helena's relationship with killing. She has never killed or tried to kill because she thought executing someone fixes the world.

Huntress: Year One #4
Even initially, it was always about honour or closure or vengeance or survival, and she saw herself as pretty much damned to hell, even says it in Huntress: Year One. And she grows too, and soon leaves that murderous intent in her past though her feelings about killing remain way more nuanced than say Bruce's.

Stephanie Brown my BELOVED. Suit is a mixture of like seven different ones.
[image ID: drawing of Stephanie Brown ominously walking through pink smoke saying "Heh, remember how you just called me a bad guy? You're about to find out exactly what that means." She has her hood up, Spoiler face mask on, breathing apparatus, and her general outfit is similar to the contemporary Batgirl one. End ID]
Dialogue, sketch, and other inspiration scene below

[Image ID 1: lineart of the drawing. It is full of crosshatching and was done on paper, then scanned in for later colouring.
Image ID 2: a panel from Batman: detective comics #946 with Stephanie in spoiler gear and an intimidating crouched pose saying "Sorry Batman, but this isn't how the world is supposed to be, and I think I'm the only one left who can fix it".
Image ID 3: a group of panels from Batgirls #5. Stephanie is posed reading to fight and facing a villain. She says "Heh, remember how you just called me a bad guy? You're about to find out exactly what that means."

All Cats Are Grey (dp x dc)
Thomas Blake has been having a day, well no, he’s been having a life actually, but he’s been good at not letting the self-loathing win these days and he’s not giving up on that progress today.
Still.
It’s the anniversary of his pride’s murder and Lawton’s face is hard to look at.
Venice is a nice place to get lost in though, and he is desperately in need of some alone time lest he starts thinking too hard and ends up stabbing Lawton.
He walks up a bridge and leans against the railing, staring down into the water below, where the moon’s reflection shines.
"You got a lot on your mind?" a voice sounds from somewhere behind him.
He swivels but is met with nothing more than the canal.
"Up here," the voice sounds again and as Blake looks up, he finds himself looking at a white-haired flying little girl.
He blinks for a moment but the girl is still there.
"Yes?" The girl asks innocently. He narrows his eyes at the too-wide green eyes.
Ok, if she wants to play it like that.
Blake consciously relaxes himself before shrugging. "Just memories."
"Oh yeah," the girl nods sagely. "Those are wild. Only been having them for a year, but boy are they a trip."
The man doesn’t offer any reaction behind a sympathetic hum to the weird info drop. If he’s playing the game and he’s damn well sure going to win it. "What about you, what’s kept you awake?"
The girl pulls a face. "Couldn’t find a bed I liked."
"Too hard or too soft, goldilocks?" His lips are pulling into a smile despite himself.
"Too haunted," the girl answers, deadpan. "This city is crowded, my dude."
Blake raises an eyebrow. "Is that so?"
The girl nods. "There’s gotta be something in the water, I’m telling you."
He looks down into the dark waters, as he remembers every warning he’s been given about taking a dip in the canals, and he’s tempted to agree.
"You got money?" The girl asks non-sequitur.
"Some," he says, wanting to see where this is going.
"I know a gelato place not too far that should still be open," the girl says. "I’ll show you if you get me a nocciola cone."
Blake looks up into the kid’s glowing eyes and smiles.
"Deal."
