My writing in particular fandoms tends to start out with me having a strong preference for canon and compliance, and then the further along I get the more I'm like, okay, I'll explore all the weird AUs and genderswaps and whatnot. Fundamentally though even within AUs I get most of my joy from drawing parallels to canon and expanding on the themes and constraints that canon has established. And I do still defensively tag my Hazbin fics as "written after season 1" so that people at least know, haha.

when there’s a much larger group of stans of another fanon ship, who famously do all of the things you accuse SamBucky fans of doing and regularly sprinkle in antiBlack racism while they’re doing it, is certainly a choice. A nonsensical and very suspect choice, especially considering SamBucky fans only have our fun in our own spaces unlike other ships’ fans, but a choice nonetheless.

Superman and Daredevil swap bodies for a day

I want to read a fic where Matt ends up in the DC universe in the body of a solar powered alien while Clark goes to Marvel in the body of a blind Lawyer. How does it happen? Dunno maybe Matt wishes he could have a chance to see again just for a day and Clark wishes to experience regular human aches and pains.

I just want the JL to hear this guy in Supes’ body say something absolutely devastating like “I have sight again but what’s the point if I’ll still never see my best friend’s face?”

And the Justice League, assuming this guy is from an alternate timeline or parallel universe say “Don’t cry!” (He was crying because the lights are so fucking bright) “We have a picture of Batman right here!” (Bats is unavailable so the League is left to be stupid on their own)

Matt’s just like, “Why would my best friend be called Batman? If anything I’m Batman.” (He’s making an echolocation joke)

And the League is just like whoah a blind Batman!

And he’s all yeah it happened when I was a kid what’s the big deal?

So now the Justice League think he’s Bruce Wayne from a timeline where he was blinded when he lost his parents.

And another misunderstanding happens when Matt asks if the Justice League is this world’s version of the Avengers. The JL instantly assume he’s referring to some kind of villainous or tyrannical group and that he’s from one of the bad timelines. (They have a bit of a point on this one given that literally there’s no need to avenge something that is all good.)

Anyway none of think to question why Matt is handling Superman’s powers and super hearing because duh Batman can adapt to anything.

Meanwhile Matt, who is not Batman is mostly freaking out on the inside because WTF is going on? He can see which is a whole bunch of information he doesn’t know how to deal with. His hearing is still good but his sense of touch is shot. Like seriously, Matt feels like he could shrug off being hit by a bus. What is up with that?

In another universe entirely, Clark gets punched in the face and OW that really hurts! Suddenly he’s fighting blind, literally, and his powers aren’t working! What’s going on? Kryptonite? Ugh, a kick to the stomach, how does Bats walk this stuff off?!?

Somehow he makes it out of that fight, stumbling to a place he can take a moment to think. A quick pat down reveals he’s not in his own body so retreat is definitely in order. But where? He doesn’t even know where or who he is!

Luckily it’s a Team Red team up and Spidey and Deadpool soon notice their Double D looking not so hot. Spider-Man panics because it’s gotta be bad if Daredevil is showing pain. He picks him up and leaps into the air to get him to Matt’s apartment. Anyway Clark now knows what it’s like to be carried by super strong and fast teammate and he’s not sure he likes it.

Deadpool meets them back at the apartment maybe through his fourth wall breaking powers knows what’s going on? Anyway he decides to be a troll and convinces Clark that Spider-Man is made out of spiders while Peter is in the bathroom. Then they tuck Clark in to bed and tell him to call out sick to work.

He does but since that would be out of character for Matt Foggy shows up demanding to know what is going on. Clark is in a world of hurt. Who knew getting beat up could feel this bad? And this guy keeps insisting that he’s always worked through it before, are you dying? And now Clark has a new appreciation for humans.

Don’t know how to wrap this up but once their 24 hours are up Matt and Clark switch back. Maybe logic users from both sides undo it or something.

I know this is a crazy premise but I kept reading fanfics that mention Superman’s hearing and the idea wouldn’t leave me.

Rewatching Age of Ultron and particularly the “what’s your plan for the aliens” “teamwork” “we’ll lose” “then we lose together” scene and honestly I’m so with Tony here like…

If I was talking to my colleague about planning ahead for a major, almost certain* (and potentially world ending) threat and they responded that their plan was “we can all die together holding hands”

Omg so sorry for falling off the face of the realm again I was straight chilling for a good while (and also lost power for a bit due to the storm), but I had to come back because I’m so pissed off about multiple things.

Also if this wasn’t obvious before, I fucking hate the mcu. I don’t wish having a fixation on an mcu character on ANYONE. This is hell. They couldn’t make a good decision even if their lives depended on it. Out of every fixation for me to be granted… 😞

People who never liked Loki for who he is CANONICALLY (Like this isn’t even a debate. These are aspects of his character that have existed since the first movie.) need to stop speaking on him and his characteristics! He’s not their Tumblr/TikTok hcs and has had definitive personality traits that were thought of carefully by directors, and Tom Hiddleston before each movie came out. Believe it or not… there used to be care put into his character!

People need to accept that the series (and Ragnarok/Iw but tbh they’re not as bad) truthfully do contradict every aspect of his character traits, developments, etc… You can like it, sure. But it contradicts how his character was originally written. Admit that, at least.

And what really pisses me off is… Loki HAS been vulnerable in the movies before. Tom Hiddleston didn’t put all that care into playing him in Thor 1/TDW just for people to say he’s only truly been himself in the series. But I guess because these glimpses into his personality (as the literal god of mischief, dare I remind you…) were still too “harsh” and “cold” for their liking. It wasn’t fanon enough, so they took it as Loki still putting up a facade.

Loki is witty, sarcastic, and most importantly mischievous!! He doesn’t need to boot-lick every being he meets in order for the mask he put up to slip. He also doesn’t need to be the laughingstock to be funny.

“He realized he doesn’t have to play the villain anymore… and now can be a hero..” BITCH SHUT UP! HE’S THE GOD OF MISCHIEF! HE’S NOT ENTIRELY EITHER! Why they feel Loki has to put everyone else’s well-being before his own in order to be a good character is beyond me.

Another thing for me is, people acting like Loki is a narcissist because he holds the belief that gods/asgardians are superior to midgardians??? So does about the entirety of asgard with the exception of Thor. If you had a lifespan of 5000 years, you’d think those who barely make it to a century on average were inferior too!

Also the way Loki’s attempt of genocide against Jotunheim was never spoken about again… no wonder why series fans don’t even realize that it happened. We are losing the plot, literally!

I KNOW, ME? THE MULTI SHIPPER WHO SHIPS EVERYONE TOGETHER ALL THE TIME? 😞 yes.

We first and only see Harley (not counting end game because its literally for one frame) in Ironman 3 when he's like 11-12 ish maybe even 10, and EVERY ship between them has to age up Harley to 14-16 for it to not be weird when they first meet. To me that's just a bit of a no go zone.

Its just feels off to me to age up a character when the only characterization they have is as a child‼️😭 yes they would actually be the same age timeline wise if they met during for example homecoming, but we never meet Harley as a 14-15 year old, we only see him as a 10-12 year old and thats kinda why I don't ship it 🙌

If you love it i am in NO WAY!! Calling you weird! It's just me personally I feel iffy about it, I'd live to see a fic of Harley being more of a little brother tho :) they would be BRATS together lmaao 🫶
