Phantomish Rogues

Team Phantom get ripped from their home universe into the DCverse. With no money or real ID's in this world. Now thats a problem.

Another big problem is that Danny is badly injured and his core kinda put him into a deep cryo sleep. He needs to rest and gather ectoplasm.

Bigger problem Team Phantom have no clue how to get home because they don't know how to decode the Fenton Portal blue-prints, not even Jazz who at the time didn't pay attention to her parents portal work anymore by the time they finished it. The only one who does have an idea is Danny!

Biggest problem, they landed in a place called Gotham that seems to be overrun with actual villains and heroes? (vigilantes). And for some odd reason many of them seem to find them no matter where the Team goes to hide.

Until they can get their hands on a safe space, tech, and money, Team Phantom might have to go a bit Rogue/Villainous if they wanna keep Danny safe until he wakes up.

one of the reasons why i love ToA so much is the little bits and pieces of the gods we get to see.

so i guess this is really more of a 'this is why i love the gods so much' rather than my usual 'this is why i love ToA' post lmao

but fr, the gods are just sooooo much more fleshed out in ToA. they're more complex, and have these layers to them that pjo and hoo just Did Not convey (and really, only conveyed those things post publication of ToA, which came with the tools on how to decode the gods and read between the lines).

and i'm not even talking about Apollo here. he is by far the most fleshed out god we have because he's the pov character, but i also mean all 12 of the other olympians - they're just so juicy!!

like okay, sure, in pjo and hoo we get glimpses that Dionysus may care more than he lets on, but ToA CONFIRMS this, but not in an 'in your face' way - but in the 'Dionysus picks at Apollo like a little brother would' way, and in that FIRST interaction between Apollo and Dionysus, we can SEE what their relationship was like!!

Hermes is another VERY layered god, ESPECIALLY with pjo's context. but that context ONLY gains its own importance BECAUSE of the story ToA gives us - we would NOT have 'resigned to fate' Hermes without it. or embittered at his favorite brother Hermes. we love this Hermes eheheheheheheh

Artemis also gains more character, and is no longer just the stoic cool badass #Girlboss she's largely presented as - she's scared, she fears for Apollo, so much so she SPLITS. she comes RUNNING to help him in TTT as soon as she could, giving her a softer side, while simultaneously expands on her previous appearances and allowing us to see how she is unconsciously enabling the abuse Apollo's experienced. LAYERS !! !! !!

DEMETER. OOOHHH DEMETER ILY, IN MYTHOLOGY AND THE RRVERSE. BUT FOR COMPLETELY DIFFERENT REASONS LMAO

we can infer Demeter has basically shot herself in the foot by obsessing so much over Persephone, where she NEGLETS her other kids (ex: Lityerses, Meg). myth Demeter would NEVER but rrverse Demeter is still a fav BECAUSE of how flawed she is.

Hades is a chill uncle with Apollo in particular. i mean. *gestures* he used to purposefully mess up Apollo's aim when shooting for no reason. need i say more?

looking back i'm also a little intrigued by how little Poseidon was mentioned - perhaps lending credence to the idea that he and Apollo grew apart over the centuries?

also Hestia's position as the goddess of the hearth and home calls into question how passive she is on olympus BECAUSE of the shitshow it's become!! she defends it!! what has caused the hearth and home, the FIRSTBORN OF KRONOS, of the ENTIRE PANTHEON to be so stagnant in the face of this toxic cycle? the people want to know and so do i.

Hephaestus is trickier to pin down for me because he has little mention, but there's one SPECIFIC one that has stuck in my brain and its the "apollo missed an entire decade watching Hephaestus's newton's cradle INSIDE HIS OFFICE"

what was apollo doing in his office. and why did hephaestus - notorious introvert - let him stay in there. these are the questions we are all dying to know.

Aphrodite is arguably a tricky one to pin down too, and honestly we as a fandom have probably taken more from the mythos to pin down her character than with the others, but she's sooooo interesting too!! the eldest olympian. powerful goddess. extremely cunning and ruthless. and yet she's seen as airheaded and vain by practically everyone.

A lot of people don't include Barbara as one of the main Batkids because she, of course, already has a great dad-- and that's totally understandable-- but I honestly think that just means we need more Batman and Gordon co-parenting. Like, whether Jim knows that Barbara is Batgirl or not he just has this overwhelming urge to protect this one, even more than he does the other kids, and of course so does Bruce because Babs is his first daughter and that man is a Girl Dad™ through and through. Just. Come on.

Baby!Babs early in her Batgirl days making a joke about driving the Batmobile (this bitch is like 14 her ass does not have a licence) which triggers Jim and Bruce to both immediately go "Absolutely not." In the EXACT same Dad Tone and she's like. Holy shit there are two of them now. ("Language.")

Jim and Bruce both sleeping in the chairs next to her hospital bed while she's recovering from The Killing Joke, both in that exact same Dad Pose where their arms are crossed and their chin is against their chest with half-eaten vending machine snacks in their hands. (Sobbing).

Oracle!Barbara calling in super late at night with an update on a piece of evidence, and when Bruce picks up the comm he goes "Did I not tell you to go to bed two hours ago?" And she can hear Jim in the back saying "He definitely did, I was there!" (Neither of them have slept in 48 hours).

Anytime Barbara needs something on her wheelchair fixed or adjusted Bruce and Jim both instinctually offer to do it and so sometimes she just re-breaks whatever was fixed to give her other dad the opportunity to do it too because it makes them feel helpful.

Babs when she first starts getting back out on patrol again being reported on in the news and she gets two identical texts the next morning that say "Weren't you supposed to have Physical Therapy yesterday evening."

Open your imaginations people. Do not limit her to ONE insufferable white dad. Give her two.

"Uhhh.... Sei, sweetheart, what are you doing?"

You look down at your lap to see your boyfriend, Nagi Seishiro. His head was on your knee as his hands rested on your thigh. He looked at you silently for a while. He looked like a puppy begging for attention as he was positioned like this. "You've been working on that for hours now," He said, pouting, his voice tinged with a hint of exasperation. He shifted his position, his hands now resting under his chin, and his gaze fixed on you with a little more insistence. "Look at me," he murmured, almost whining.

That elicited a soft laugh from you. You couldn’t help it, he was adorable. "I'm looking at you."

He huffed at your response, a little more irritated than before, and gently smacked your thigh. It wasn’t hard, but there was an edge to it. Clearly, he didn’t appreciate your witty reply. "Don’t act coy. You know what I mean," he muttered, his eyes narrowing slightly. His voice had that familiar mix of annoyance and sulkiness, a tone that was so uniquely his.

You merely rolled your eyes and patted his head, which seemed to placate him temporarily. Your hands comb through his hair rhythmically. He closed his eyes as you scratched his scalp. And he practically melted at your touch, his body going slack in contentment. His bliss didn’t last long, though. As soon as your hand slowly stopped, he opened his eyes again, staring at you blankly for a while.

With a little sigh, he shifted his approach. He sat beside you, the smallest bit of space left between the two of you, just in case you didn’t want it. He looked at you longingly, his pout still evident on his face. He wasn’t quite touching you, but the way his gaze lingered on you clearly said it all—pay attention to me.

And still, nothing.

He sighed louder this time, leaning back on the couch in a mockingly dramatic way, like you were making him work for this attention. He started watching what you were doing, but his eyes drifted away after a while. You were so boring for focusing on that instead of him. Eventually, he shifted again, this time lying his head on your shoulder with a deep sigh. His weight was heavier now, but his touch was light, barely there. It was like he was testing you.

You could feel the irritation building in him, his frustration palpable. He wanted your attention, and you were taking too long. He tilted his head, chin resting on your shoulder now. As he yawned, his arms stretched lazily, and his fingers brushed against your arm. A subtle attempt at a touch. Then, his hand found its way to your side, his fingers grazing just lightly, the touch unmistakably trying to get your attention.

You immediately knew what he was doing, but instead of responding, you decided to keep working, dragging out the moment a little longer.

His eyebrows furrowed in annoyance. Why aren’t you giving him the attention he deserves? You’d acknowledged his existence! It wasn’t fair. His nose scrunched up slightly, clearly frustrated with the fact that he had to go through all these little motions for something so simple. Somthing he should always be getting—your attention.

He huffed again, louder this time, and then finally let the words slip out in a semi-irritated, semi-sarcastic tone. "You're really ignoring me now, huh?"

This definitely caught your attention. "What makes you say that?" You asked, finally taking a good look at him.

He rolled his eyes, as if the answer was obvious. "Well, you’re looking at that thing more than me, so I guess I’m not even worth looking at." He pointed to the thing you were working on. Was he jealous? Or needy? You can’t tell. Either way, you had a very pouty and sulky Nagi.

You chuckled softly. You definitely should take a break, and cuddles do seem like a great solution for the headache from working. "Alright, alright. You have my attention now," You said as you turned to wrap your arms around him.

Before you could even react, his face was already on your chest. He hastily wrapped his arms around your waist and huffed, his voice laced with a pout. "Finally, geez. It’s like I don’t even exist when you're focused on other things."

You laughed softly, but he didn’t seem to appreciate your amusement. He buried his face further into your chest, as if trying to hide his sulking expression. You could feel his breathing deepen, like he was taking in the comfort of the moment. His arms tightened slightly around your waist, and you heard the faintest whine come from him.

"You're annoying." he murmured into your shirt, his voice muffled. "You’re supposed to be paying attention to me. I hate when you get all focused on work. I mean, I'm right here." He pulled back just enough to look up at you, his eyes still a little narrowed in irritation, but there was something soft underneath it. A quiet vulnerability that you knew Nagi rarely showed. "I just want to be with you, okay?"

His tone softened, but the pout never left his lips. You ran your fingers through his hair again, and this time, he leaned into the touch, his body relaxing completely.

"I know, Sei," you whispered, feeling a sense of warmth fill you as you hugged him closer. "But you know I need to get this done. It's not because I don't want to be with you." You kissed the top of his head, your voice gentle and coaxing him to calm down.

He huffed, but it was lighter this time, a trace of his usual playfulness returning. "I guess I’ll just have to remind you which is more important?" He lifted his head just enough to look you in the eye, his gaze mischievous, a slight smirk tugging at the corner of his lips. "I won’t let you get away with this for long."

You couldn’t help but smile at his determination, even though you knew he was being a little dramatic. "Okay, okay, you win," you said with a sigh, half-exasperated, half-amused. You moved whatever it was you were working on to another table. It was hard to deny him. "You have my full attention now, love, Happy?"

He nodded sagely, a grin finally spreading across his face. "Very," he said with an exaggerated sigh of relief, like he’d just won a battle. His arms tightened again around you, and this time you didn’t mind, letting him pull you closer.

For a few moments, you both just stayed there in the quiet, your fingers absently running through his hair while his face was tucked into your chest. You could feel him relax more with each passing second, the tension from before slowly melting away.

But of course, Nagi wasn’t going to stay still for long.

"Now that I have you," he murmured, shifting a little so his face was nestled against your neck. "Can we do something more fun? You know... like a movie or something?" He yawned dramatically, clearly wanting to shift your focus elsewhere. A slight mischievous appeared on his face. "I’ve been a good boy now, so I deserve it, right?"

You chuckled, already knowing what was coming. "Fine, fine, you’ve earned it."

"Finally," he said with a satisfied grin, closing his eyes as he let his weight fall more comfortably against you. "I knew you'd see it my way."

It was hard not to indulge him when he was so persistent and so utterly adorable in his own, Nagi-like way.

So, from TC to everything TOA, everyone expresses their distaste for Apollester's haikus. I believe that they don't actually hate on the technical execution (he's usually adhering to the form pretty well, unless you take into account that haikus are usually nature-themed in some way, but there's such a thing called artistic freedom, so it shouldn't factor in that much). Most people not liking his haikus don't have that knowledge on the technicalities of it anyway.

But any haiku, even the very first one in TC, was just Apollo "going through the motions". It seemed as if he did it because he felt like he had to, like it was expected of him as the god of poetry (and I can understand this, as there are soo many mentions of him being tied to the sun in the pjo!verse, and just as many of him being the god of archery, but not as many about poetry, so of course he wants to remind people). It's performative, and not in a good way.

Art is always best if it's coming straight from the heart. And any time Apollo does perform something heartfelt (like he did about Daphne and Hyacinthus and Jason), it is well-received.

In my opinion, Apollo's journey as Lester Papadopoulos isn't just about changing his character's personality, it's also about him redeveloping appreciation for art and its ability to put your emotions on display in any way, shape or form you desire.

Quick disclaimer: I've read the reblogs (and loved them, first time someone reblogged my posts and adding their own thoughts, so yay 🥰), and I just want to clarify that my post was never meant to say that I think Apollo's haikus suck, I just wanted to get to the bottom of why they're not well-received by the in!verse characters.

"the zelda timeline is bullshitted and fake and-" wind waker and phantom hourglass and spirit tracks are all direct sequels of each other. the games themselves say this. adventure of link is a direct sequel to LOZ. the games and guidebooks that came with it say this. link to the past was made as a prequel to explain how the triforce came to be in the state it was in in LOZ. the games and guidebook say this. ocarina of time was then made as a prequel to this game. also links awakening, as per in-game story and guidebooks, is the same link as the one from alttp. but then majoras mask was made as a sequel to ocarina of time, even if it conflicted with the events of link to the past, which suggests the whole time travel thing had some consequences. twilight princess, with the execution of ganondorf and the literal hero of time teaching you the way of the sword, is then pretty safely assumed to follow some time after ocarina of time. the oracle games feature twinrova attempting to resurrect their son, but summon ganon instead, telling us that it AT LEAST has to take place after ocarina of time and before LOZ. skyward sword pretty solidly establishes itself as the very beginning of hyrule, so has to happen before everything else.

its literally only the handheld games and the actual timespans where the timeline wobbles. the vast majority of it makes perfect sense. timeline haters simply have only actually played 2 games at best (one of which being botw) and then read some salty tumblr posts.

I kinda really love how crowded and full of games the downfall timeline is

It really does show how much the fate of the world rests on the hero, and how much affect he has on his world

Considering that downfall has so many games because of one link's faliure, causing such destruction that it just takes so so long and so many tries to fix it, and how in the timeline where link suceeds, there is so much less destruction, meaning that there is less burden placed on the heroes of those timelines

Really shows how strong ganondorf and the hatred he harbours really is but also shows how strong link is to face it over and over again, unreleting.

The world relies on link, the hero to keep them from harm, and the effect that him failing has just goes to show how important link really is
