I don’t know whether I want Tim to go off or not. But I do want to give him a hug. Growing up doesn’t have to mean getting more cruel. Being someone other than the perfect Robin doesn’t mean losing something that is Tim
This lash out this going against expectations weirdly enough with the last couple lines lines up with his need to prove himself.
I love that Jason, the one labeled as the violent Robin, is the one to stop him. Even if he does it by knocking him out, it still shows that he cares. That he understands his way isn’t the best and has burdens he doesn’t want Tim to carry.
Oh no! The Family Angst! (The very thing I came for) I wish they’d include Bruce in their family discussion before coming to a conclusion though after what happened I get the reaction.
Tim Suffers Bingo Continues. (Btw he lost a tooth earlier because she hit him with his bo)
Ah! Damian is really calling out their issues. These panels hit me like a truck. Dick has major eldest daughter problems going on right now. And I love how the first line on Jason’s panel the something good can both mean Robin and Tim. Dick and Jason both wonder if they lead their sibling(s) down the wrong path, if they could have been something better if they hadn’t been the way they are.
At least he reminds them they should be focusing on the missing Tim.
Baby Robin lore! Slings are really cool and no wonder David took down Goliath. Basically brought a gun to a sword fight.
Dick you idiot why did you shine the mysterious technology you received from the big villain in your eyeball
Ahh! He decida that after seeing Jason’s memorial. This family makes me so sad.
Here’s how I want robin in the next battinson movie:
The very first scene is Bruce and tiny Dick Grayson sitting across from each other at the dining table, staring each other down in silence, both clearly grumpy about it. Alfred is in the background watching them with concern. The silence lasts about 20 seconds before Dick speaks.
“Let me fight crime.” (said with all the petulance of a pouty 10 year old)
Bruce replies immediately. “No.” (this is clearly an ongoing argument)
Immediately cut to the next scene where Dick, wearing the iconic Robin suit, is having the time of his life swinging across the city while Bruce frantically tries to keep up with him while yelling at him to be careful like an anxious mother
Jason: What's got you both upset? Finally agree on something?
Damian: Yes, but not important, Father has decided to crack down on the "no swearing" rule
Tim: Some situations deserve a fuck or two ya know?
Jason: Just ignore him. That's what everyone does when he gets uptight about stupid rules
Dick: No no, he's been like this a few times before. Here's what you do; wait until he's doing his "I am the scariest thing in Gotham" interrogation bit. Then hit him with the silliest "Gee Golly" you can manage. He'll be begging you to swear by the end of patrol
Ok starting off strong with Tim not being able to lie to Bats
But luckily the boys get out of it via Bats trusting Dick
Ok I was looking forward to analyzing these. The gauntlet assessments. (Please note that inbetween these they are investigating a graveyard to find the kidnapped gauntlets but I don’t have much I want to comment on)
You know what fair on both their cases. Bats is probably right but also if Jason killed that man I wouldn’t blame him, it was deserved.
Once again the assessment. Poor Tim. Though it's interesting that he stresses Tim's relization that this is no longer a game because Batman often thought the reason Jason died was because of immaturity. Bats thought Jason considered Robin a game, he didn't take it seriously, amd that’s why he took risks. He wanted to make sure that Tim wasn't the same way.
As much as I love Stephanie I'll admit I understand Bruce's reasoning. Pure anger and revenge is a dangerous motive. There has to be love. Grief is an extension of love in many ways so Batman and the other robins have that as one of their main motives, but on top of that they love the city and want it to be better.
GASP 😱 I already knew that but what a shocker for Steph.
The only incomplete assessment. Tim and Damian’s beef really is wild though. Damian found his brother and the first thing he did was beat him unconscious.
Red Hood doesn’t hesitate. He heard the were villains sidekicks and just started swinging. Hopefully they survive
Ope they weaponized his Trauma. And Damian was also planning to. Like father like son I guess. You got to be prepared to take out anything. Though I feel like that’s a bit too low a blow.
That awkward moment when you and your siblings share friends
(On the next episode we will be having Tim angst! Yay! 😀)
You ever think Dick overhears someone say Jason was the most violent Robin and just gets so mad about it?
And it's not even about like, defending Jason's honor or anything. It's purely because he's just so incredibly insulted that people somehow forgot how much of an unhinged ball of rage he was as a child.
Like I'm imagining him storming into the cave and yanking on his now way too small Robin costume and muttering angrily about I'll show you the angriest Robin
Barbara is facepalming about all the nonsense that's about to pop off that inevitably she's gonna have to clean up. Bruce just starts sweating profusely and desperately trying to talk Dick down because he suddenly remembers that time Dick kicked a criminal so hard they ended up in a coma for a week and smiled so brightly while doing it that the other goons there at the time just chose to jump off a three story building into the suspect sludge that filled Gotham harbor rather than face the unhinged ten year old on bright colors and pixie boots.
Duke: But wasn't Dick the nice one?
Tim, who idolized Dick Grayson's Robin like his own chaotic god: Don't ever insult my favorite Robin that way again. Here are my top thirty photos of him reigning deranged chaotic violence upon his enemies. I'd show you more but this album just has the photos from the first month I started following him and Batman around.
Jason: The hundreds of dead assassins and all the shit I've heard about you and Young Justice suddenly make a lot more sense
