April drabbles!

11. Showers

It was always a relief when it came to this time of day, Ann thought. As much as she enjoyed making the inn sparkle, the process left her covered in the dust and dirt that she worked so hard to keep off of the surfaces of her beloved home and business.

So it was in these late afternoons that she turned on the faucet, untied the ribbon in her hair, and heaved a sigh of relief as she listened to the tinkling of water hitting the cast iron tub. She unraveled her braid, the red strands wavy from being tied in so tightly. She lit a peppermint candle and the scent filled the air and she peeled off her sweaty, dusty clothes, jumping into the piping hot shower.

The water washed away not only the day’s grime, but also her worries about what still needed to be done. Time froze as she enjoyed the feeling of the water pelting the top of her head, massaging her scalp. All that existed was the shower above her and the fresh scent of soap as the suds rolled down her shoulders. Of course, there was still much to be done, but for right now, she enjoyed the simple moment and comfort that a warm shower brought to her weary body and mind.

My top 3 romances in New Mineral Town <3

I’m thinking I will marry Cliff ultimately so I achieve the trifecta of marrying him in both Mineral Town games and DS Cute (where I need to get to romancing again XD)

My ex-fiancee is basically Ran irl and I only realized the other day.  She and I are still friends though only platonic and nowhere near as close as we used to be...

And Gray is... trying to get some I guess? haha, can’t stay the night sir that would be improper of me!  We’d be the talk of the town and Grampa Saibara would have your ass!!!

The Killer

So I was hanging out with some friends last night, and for whatever reason, we got onto the subject of whether or not we sleep with the bedroom door closed. Apparently it's safer in case of fires? But it turns out that most of my friends keep their bedroom door closed because of concerns about The Killer, aka, a person breaking into their house at night with the express intention of murdering them.

For the purposes of this poll, "I share a house/apartment" is for situations where you have your own bedroom, but there are other people living with you; "I share a bedroom" is for situations where there is another person sleeping in the same room.

Everyone talks about how Appa is apparently obese for a sky bison and Aang is over feeding him. Undeserved in my opinion (hes just big boned obviously)

But nobody talks about how Druk (Zuko's dragon) is a complete fatass compared to other dragons.

For example: These are pics of Roku's Dragon, Fang, and Sozin's Dragon

Do you see how long and noodley they are. They're actual dragons too, not Wyverns like GoT dragons. (Note the 4 legs)

DAY 4- PHO!

Edited: OH GOSH I didn't realise the Pho is not cooked properly!!! Cooked properly now....

These little fuckers are round gobies. They are a freshwater goby that's invasive in Michigan, and they're in the nearby lake. They're distinct from the four native species due to their fused pelvic fins (middle pic) and a big black dot at the rear of their front dorsal fin. Though some other gobies have spots on their fins, NO Michigan-native species has a fused pelvic fin. These guys are very aggressive feeders and are very good at outcompeting native gobies.

They're also extremely good at stealing bait off big hooks as people on the docks reel in their lines. In particular, the bastard in the bottom photo stole my bait two days ago, so I caught him and filleted him for Bug.

Today, after acquiring smaller hooks, I went back and got 16 more, and educated several other fishers about their invasive nature. I got two turned over to me by others, and caught 14 more myself.

One man wandered over and asked why I was catching them on purpose. It was too much trouble to explain my feelings about invasive species, so I just told him, one of them stole my bait two days ago. He stopped watching my bobber and boggled at me and goes:

"You're doing this for revenge?"

So now there's some guy in town that thinks I am exacting revenge upon fish kind for a single stolen worm.

"I'll pay you 10 times the amount you were given to take me out." Bruce Wayne is, very out of character, super serious and looking at him so intense.

Danny isn't paid enough to figure out why the supposed himbo isn't acting like it.

"You know what? Yeah. Deal." He fishes his phone out, accepting the money transfer and calls his boss for the day.

"Heyyy big guy– yeah‐ I know... anyway! I'm not killing Bruce Wayne, you should find someone different to do it— bye!" And he hangs up, cutting the shouting with a grin.

"If you ever, and I mean, ever need someone out of the way, call me."

He happily hands his contact information to the billionaire and swoops out of the window.

He is rich! So mega rich!

("Did you just buy the mercenary?"

"He's a kid! I panicked!"

"At least you got a phone number??")

Good catholic woman seeking man irl like Cliff…!?

Lol I don’t know if I could ever fall in love with another catholic. I have a very dear close friend who is catholic but even she’s not the most traditional cuz she has a wife XD I love them both of course and having one catholic friend has helped me a TON in terms of I can finally discuss things I never could before cuz I never got on too well with other Catholics and still struggle in general.

Ran is my fave mineral town bachelorette, if I had had fomt instead of mfomt I would’ve married her and I knew that even before I was blue heart with Gray in mfomt XD

In Stardew I was last courting Maru and Sebastian, wanting Seb and then falling hard for his sister…

Well in Mineral Town it seems another set of siblings think I’m courting them except in reality their mom is my top pick for best MILF in the game! I’ll gladly be their step-mum lol

It's good and cool to give your characters a single simple, straightforward, non-urgent, super-achievable goal that shouldn't really cost anything or hurt anyone, make that the driving factor for most of their decisions, and then have the Plot do everything in its power to stop them.

The Justice League finds out about the Anti-Ecto Acts, and Batman is the driving force behind condemning them. He even goes so far as to summon popular ghost hero Phantom for advice, given that his son, Red Hood, would absolutely fall under those Acts. Phantom...tells him he's wrong.

Red Hood is 100%, completely and totally alive. Same soul, same body, sort of the same person. Only 'sort of' because people change as they grow, so obviously he isn't going to be the same person he was when he was fifteen.

There's not a trace of ecto in him, or in any of the Bats. None of them are even liminal.

Batman asks if he's sure. If he's really, really sure. Because ghosts run on emotions, and Red Hood came back extremely violent and irrational.

"Well yeah, of course he did," Phantom deadpans, and Batman suddenly feels very, very small under that glare. "He was murdered, unavenged, told that there was no way he was the same person when he came back pissed, and had his words as a victim ignored. I'd get violent too. Look, I gotta go, but thanks for getting the Acts removed."
