sexual abuse isn't worse than emotional abuse btw. physical abuse isn't worse either.
abuse is abuse. it impacts everyone differently. we shouldn't be comparing trauma to see who had it the worst.

Normalize not having to pick a fucking side in syscourse. Normalize being able to exist on the internet as a system or with a CDD without having to constantly answer questions and take stances on syscourse. There is more to being a system than syscourse. You don't have to pick a side and you can block anyone who makes you. You don't have to give a shit about whether or not you can be a system without trauma, you can just exist
DO NOT TAG WITH SYSCOURSE TAGS (eg. anti endo, pro endo, etc)

if you're actively being abused and you discovered a large amount of your DID/system without any professional help or self recovery there's a chance you may be mistaking [some of] your symptoms. DID tends to hide itself during stressful situations or when you're doing poorly mentally, so it isn't realistic to be super aware of your system while you're being actively traumatised. is it possible? sure, but you might be documenting your experiences a little inaccurately at the very least. am i saying it's impossible to know you have DID while going through trauma? not at all, though you might assume some things inaccurately about your system. it's definitely something to consider. the safer you are the more accurate your knowledge about your system becomes, if that makes sense.

General syscourse I agree with.
1. LEAVE PEOPLE TF ALONE AND MIND YOUR BUSINESS. "They have a lot of fictives" MIND YOUR FUCKING BUSINESS. "They're self dxd" MIND YOUR DAMN BUSINESS. "B- b- but they don't force their fictives to source separate" MIND. YOUR. BUSINESS. Don't police how other systems work.
2. ✨ system fucking accountability ✨ is a must. like yeah some ppl can't control their alters and their actions, but don't try and avoid responsibility by saying it's another alter.
3. endos are ableist, end of. you can only be a system with trauma.

jsyk this blog isnt really "traumagenic safe" if youre excluding everyone who isnt 100% traumagenic which does include those who arent fully traumagenic.. mixed origin systems exist
sincerely, a tired traumaendo system
Oh, okay, I understand. I'm really confused on how a traumaendo even exists. Taking the "invite both sheep and wolves, you'll only get wolves" thing into consideration, if I invite a sheep and wolf hybrid then what happens??? So I'm just going to keep my sheep. Should I change it to "safe for 100% traumagenic systems only" or something similar? Sorry you're tired. But just so you know, it's really uncool to break a DNI as you do in fact count

okay I've been seeing these posts talking about "don't let anybody tell you what is and isn't trauma :3" and I've got something I'd like to add.
Ready?
Promise?
Okay, you asked for it.
Trauma isn't the experience.
Tumblr media
That's right. You read those words correctly. Trauma isn't the experience, but it is your reaction to it. The event is traumatic. Your reaction is trauma. And, I have to say, I agree. Don't let anybody tell you what is and isn't traumatic. Work that out with your therapist. Your trauma and what is traumatic to you is personal. Still, there is a difference between big T Trauma and little t trauma. This next section does get a touch triggering, so I'm gonna continue below the cut.
Big T Trauma (which I'll refer to as Trauma) is things like living through sexual assault, being in a natural disaster, being in a combat zone, or surviving a deadly car crash. Little t trauma (which I'll refer to as trauma) is things like getting fired, the death of a pet, a humiliating experience, or even just feeling unloved/unlikeable. These things can each be distressing in their own way. The easiest way to distinguish them is by whether or not there was a threat to your physical safety. However, though they are both still valid. They also normally end up having similar psychological damage. Though going through a natural disaster is arguably more likely to be a traumatic experience than, say, getting fired, both can have similar effects based on the person's mental and emotional reaction to the event. Anywho, I'll hop off my pedestal. If you would like sources, feel free to reply. Do not DM me. Thank you. :)

omg i never thought i would actually have to post this but endos + endo supporters do not interact. being plural is not a fun quirky personality trait, its a disorder that people struggle a lot with. its a disorder born from continuous, inescapable trauma in early childhood.
stop creeping your way into communities you do not belong in. stop promoting "flooding" system tags and spaces. let us please have ONE safe space, because i assure you the people with DID/OSDD in this community didnt have a safe space for a majority of our lives. we do not want you in our spaces, please and thank you.

The DSM-V talking about fictitious DID
Tumblr media
Fun fact! According to the DSM-V, seeming to enjoy having DID or thinking DID is "fun" is an indicator of malingering.

Begging screaming crying shitting pissing pleading for the internet to understand that DID is not an “alter disorder,” it’s a complex dissociative disorder.
My parts are a result of the trauma I went through and the dissociative behaviors I got in the habit of subconsciously to cope with trauma and abuse.
I am parts of one whole. Unless you and I have some sort of understanding or are quite close, you will not see me inform you about a switch or another part being out and about. This is for my safety.
I still have a CDD if I cannot participate in build a headmate (good god) posts, fictive appreciation posts, source calls (which I find particularly insidious anyways), and system anonymous ask games.
I am in therapy to cope with the trauma and the dissociation. I am not in active communication with every one of my parts, and the communication I am in with a few is not nearly as extensive as the community describes alter relationships as. I don’t know how to be “buddy buddy” with every piece of myself.
I really wish the internet never got a hold on CDDs, which is hypocritical since it’s the only reason I’m diagnosed and in treatment, but hear me out.
Did has become an online game. Medical professionals are publishing papers on the rise of sociogenic illness. I’ve known multiple people in my online and real life who have seen my did and decided to fake it as some way to fit in and be Cool and Fun and Interesting. I have known people to actively use the idea of splitting introjects as a manipulation tactic to keep others in their lives. This is disgusting behavior that all stems from the social currency of being ill online.
I’m so sick of it. My disorder is not fun and games. It’s not a joke, it’s not a way to use people. It’s debilitating for me.
For all the people who might reblog this and talk about “oh well maybe it’s agony for you but I like it!!” Cool. Keep it to yourself please. I’m glad you’re doing well enough to be in that spot; this post is not for you.
If it’s not glaringly obvious I’m anti endo so if endos wanna come and give me their two cents I’m not going to care. Call me a hater I don’t give a fuck.

I don't get the hate for Endogenic Systems. Yeah, I'm traumagenic and won't really relate to someone who is Endogenic in a lot of ways, but... Our brains are weird as shit.
Why can't someone be born like that? Why can't someone's brain realize that's an option and use it for future trauma help? Why can't someone literally will it into existence (I'm still having trouble grasping that one but not denying it)?
DID *can suck*, but it also can be an almost soothing experience when you're finally healing from trauma. I dunno what anyone else would get out of this disorder, but I support them.
If you have DID and you're reading this, I support you no matter your origins.

dissociation isn't always pathological btw.
you don't need a dissociative disorder to dissociate. you don't even need trauma to dissociate.
some level of dissociation is always going to be normal.

clears throat ahem. ahem ahem. IF YOU ARE ANTI ENDO. STOP. FUCKING. USING. THE. TERM. ALTERHUMAN. AND. ALTERHUMAN. TAGS.
THIS IS /SRS.
Pulls down whiteboard with red strings and frantic push pinned images. Alterhuman was coined with endogenic systems in mind. ALL origins of plurality are included in the definition of Alterhuman (By this I mean nonhuman alters being allowed to consider themselves alterhuman if they wish) so if you're going to be an ALTERHUMAN and be VICIOUSLY anti-endo ESPECIALLY when you're a singlet than stop. fucking using the term. it wasn't made for you hateful bigots. There are other terms for you. Stop bullying endogenic systems who are using terms made for them.
Source (this is the coining post for the term alterhuman. It specifically mentions plural, median, and walk in identities; if you don't believe me, here's a link to the coiner of alterhuman being explicitly pro endo; and here's a link to the coiner saying this account belongs to them.)

I wonder if systems know that engaging in syscourse or in discourse in general can be a form of self harm
Subjecting yourself to ableists, racists, ect. knowing that you won't change their mind can really fuck you up
Stay safe x

(The following is a screenshot, not the actual post)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tumblr media
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
(Now, time for my post)
Listen, if you're so terrified of endos that you need to be pulled away when you see a post that's made by one or someone who supports them, you need to get off of tumblr and get therapy.
I don't even mean that to be rude, like, seriously, you should consider therapy.
If someone simply existing triggers you that badly, you need professional help.
You're right. You shouldn't be terrified to read posts. That's not normal. But it's not the endos fault ether.
Also, quite frankly, posting in the plurality or system tags isn't "infiltration" as those tags are for all who are plural or systems. Hell, even posting in the traumagenic tags isn't infiltration if they're a pro-endo traumagenic system or mixed origins like we are.
I promise you that no endos are sitting there calling traumagenic systems losers. Anti-endos? maybe, but not all traumagenic systems, I mean, you do know that there's pro-endo traumagenics, right?
Listen, seriously, if you have to have an alter sit over your shoulder while on an app to make sure you don't get triggered, that's an issue. You shouldn't be on this app at all if that's the case. Stuff like that is the point where getting on social media can become a form of self harm.
I'm not trying to like, invalidate your issues OP, but if you're looking for lighthearted content related to systems, you are probably going to find mostly pro-endo content, as from my experience, they post positivity a lot more. If you try looking at DID or OSDD specific content, you might have better luck, considering those are the actual disorders.
Endos do not intentionally hurt anyone.
They're not out for you just by existing, and quite frankly, most people aren't hurt by others just existing.
The fact that you are is the exception, not the rule, and is a sign that you need some serious help.
Out of respect for the OP, I'm not responding directly to their post, nor am I going to share their username.
However, I saw this, and I wanted to say something.
