Finally Getting Help (prt 5)
Masterpost
It took a little convincing to get Jazz to come back with them, but she didn’t want to stay with Constantine because he ‘smelled like cigarettes and generational trauma’ and she couldn’t stay alone. So in the end she agreed to come back to Wayne manor with the promise that Tim would help walk her through the process of getting emancipated since he’d already done it before. Dick informed Agent A they’d be having another new person for dinner and asked Jazz if she had any allergies, which was also a no. Apparently the Fentons tended to be a very hearty family.
They took the jet back, dropping Jazz off at the manor before parking in the batcave and changing into civics as quickly as they could so they could go greet her. Before they could Alfred sent a video on the family group chat. The video started with Danny pacing in the foye, then the door opened and Jazz hesitantly let herself in only to be greeted by a battering ram of Brother hurtling towards her.
She managed to get her arms up in time to catch Danny with an Oof before they just clung to each other. Awww, why weren’t any of Dick’s siblings like that with him?! Something to bully them about later.
—----
“What happened?” Danny whispered against Jazz’s chest.
“The Justice League finally stepped up and dealt with it. Locked the portal, took away mom and dad and Vlad, I don’t know what will happen with any of them but it’s not our fault whatever it is. It’s not our responsibility or our problem, I’m going to focus on university and you’re going to focus on keeping yourself and the babies healthy and safe.” She said softly, feeling Danny wince.
“I’m sorry I didn’t tell you about the babies, I just didn’t know how too,” Danny said, and Jazz could feel how he tensed, expecting her to be angry with him.
“It’s okay little brother, I understand. That was a lot to process, I’m sure you would have told me soon,” She murmured and he nodded. “Danny, did he… did he rape you?” Jasmine forced herself to ask softly. She didn’t think so, but she just needed to know.
“No, he stole my DNA and tried to clone me. But it didn’t work and Danielle and the other clones were melting. I don’t know how many he tried but I can’t imagine he started in batches of ten. I could only save two, Daniella and one of the boys. It was awful. I don’t know how long they’ll need to stay inside me to fully develop but they can take all the time they need. I can feel them inside me, I can feel their love. I love them too, they’re my babies Jazz, I know I’m young but…”
“You’re going to be a great parent Danny,” Jazz promised softly, giving him a gentle squeeze. “And I’m going to be the best aunt and babysitter you could ask for.”
She didn’t realize he was crying until his laugh came out audibly wet. “I’m sure you will. Thank you Jazz.”
“No problem Danny. What about the Wayne’s, you trust them? You think you’ll be okay here? I’ll going to Gotham U so I’ll be close. I’d like to work at Arkham anyway.”
“Ya, they seem good, I’ll be fine here Jazz. Don’t worry.”
“I’ll always worry about you little brother,” Jazz said softly and Danny laughed again, trying to wipe his face as subtly as he could before he pulled back and finally let go.
Alfred cleared his throat delicately to remind them he was still there, though Jazz was glad he hadn’t interrupted their moment. “Dinner is ready when you are Master Danny, Miss Jazz,” he said with a nod and disappeared back down the hall towards the dining room.
“Well I’m starving, I haven’t eaten anything since breakfast!” Jazz said as she started to steer them both after Alfred.
“I’m pretty much always hungry,” Danny admitted with a chuckle. “The little ones take a lot of energy and I need to replace it somehow I goes,” He said touching his stomach in a way she now realized he’d been doing a lot. How had she missed that?
“Well you eat as much as you need to, and any cravings too. They probably have nutrients you and the baby need. You should see a doctor too. I know you probably went to see Frostbite already but you’re still half human and if they’re cloned from you so are the babies. Ask Bruce about a doctor that you can trust.”
“I will, I promise. You’re right, I really do want the babies to be okay and with what you said about the Justice League doing their job I have a feeling my existence won’t be illegal for much longer.” Walking into the dining room just in time for the family to overhear the last of that conversation.
“Definitely not,” Bruce said firmly. “I know for a fact Martian Manhunter is absolutely furious hearing they did something like this to another sentient species just because they weren’t human.”
“You know Martian Manhunter!?” Danny said with literal stars in his eyes.
“Oh here we go,” Jazz said with fond exasperation.
“Yes?” Bruce said, he hadn’t meant it like a question but he was just surprised, and a little worried, there was no way Danny would be prejudiced right?
“Oh my god can I meet him?! He’s been my favourite hero for ever! He’s from SPACE! I love space! I want to know everything he knows about space, and about Mars! I’ve never been to space! Well I’ve flown to the moon a couple of times but I couldn’t go further and be back in time for school.”
He had started floating off the ground as he enthused about space, with fond exasperation Jazz grabbed the back of Danny’s shirt and tugged him back down into a seat at the dining room table. It was like Peter Pan with the joy lifting him up, and his excitement was both adorable and infectious. It was so good to see him happy.
While he was talking food had been being passed around, and Damian, who was sitting on Danny’s other side from Jazz, had been heaping his plate while the older boy was distracted. It was sweet to see him being… caring to another person, he was even putting some meat on Danny’s plate with an odd stubborn set to his jaw. He almost looked aggressive but that was really just his determined face. Damian had accepted Danny in record time, which was a little surprising but it also made sense, they all knew Damian really loved caring for people, and children, and with Danny carrying babies no doubt Damian was already staking his claim on the role of favoured uncle.
“I’ll see what I can do,” Bruce promised with a little smile. He was sure J’onn would be happy to meet Danny so it wouldn’t actually be hard.
“Thank you!” Danny cheered, only Jazz’s grip on his shirt keeping him from leaping back into the air.
“Eat,” Damian reminded, shoving a fork into Danny’s open hand. “Pennyworth says you were too worried to eat much at lunch and you need the nutrients!”
“Aww thank you ghostling,” Danny cooed, roughling Damian’s hair who scowled and ducked away, but didn’t lash out At All! Huh apparently pregnancy was a shield against Damian’s aggression.
Danny did start to eat though, and to keep him on track the family started talking with each other. It seemed to make him more comfortable, if things were quiet he felt the need to fill the space instead of filling his mouth. It was honestly sort of nice, even Damian shared a bit more than he usually would have about school, and about his art, then started telling Danny in particular about his animals. Danny hadn’t met them yet after all and he needed to know everything! Which ones were friendly, how to appropriately handle any of them, what treats they could have.
The way Danny lit up and started questioning Damian about his animals was honestly a little startling, but it couldn’t be more clear that he was genuinely enthusiastic and Damian was preening. Rarely did he get such an attentive listening ear when talking about his pets, especially since everyone who had been in the family for a while had heard similar rants so many times they’d started to tune them out.
It was a testament to Damian’s self control that he insisted Danny finish his dinner before dragging him away from the table to go show him all the various animals he had collected over the years. Danny laughed as Damian tugged on him and waved back at the family, joking about being kidnapped again (which, worrying) but he didn’t seem to mind.
“It’s good to see someone with such a healthy and well supported obsession,” Jazz said with a little smile, watching after her little brother and Damian rush off. “Oh!” She said, snapping her fingers, “I should explain all that for you! If you’re going to take care of Danny you’ll need a crash course in Ghosts and Liminality. I uhh, I have a powerpoint?” She said, looking embarrassed and hopeful as she pulled a USB out of her pocket.
“That sounds like a wonderful idea, Miss. I’ll set up the projector in the family room,” Alfred said as he whisked the last of the dishes away.
“Oh! Thank you Alfred. Can I help at all?” Jasmine asked, already getting up from the table so she could follow.
“Nonsense, you’re a guest and you had a very long day already. I’ll set it up, and then fix a room for you next Master Danny’s for tonight,” Alfred said briskly, shooing her back into the dining room room with the family.
She looked like she was about to argue but she thought better of it. “Alfred is really the one in charge around here and we all know it,” Dick commented to her with a little smile. “No use arguing with him, and he usually knows best anyway.”
“Well, alright if you say so,” Jazz said with a little smile and tension slowly eased from her shoulders. When was the last time she got to relax? Having to worry about her brother and no one really taking care of the, how long had she been googling “how to stitch up a wound’, ‘how to help a 14 year old with ADHD study’, and various other things to try and care for a boy only two years younger than her.
“So I know you mentioned to Nightwing that you wanted to go to Gotham U? I don’t know how your grades are,” (a lie, they knew she was a genius and her grades were excellent), “But the Wayne family sponsors many scholarships and if you don’t qualify for any of those we would be happy to just pay for your schooling. What would you like to study?” Bruce asked
“I want to study psychology!” Jazz said, lighting up instantly. “That’s what I’ve wanted to study since I was seven. I want to be a psychologist, and I’d like to intern at Arkham. I know it’s a dangerous place, but I’m tougher than I look and I have Danny on speed dial so I’ll be fine.”
Well at least she had thought about the danger, and tougher then she looked meant something because she already looked plenty touch. “Well, I know Arkham can always use good doctors,” Bruce chuckled. “Just try not to become the next Harley Quinn,” He said it like a joke but he did mean it, the last thing Gotham needed was another evil genius.
“Don’t worry, she lacked grounding connections due to her upbringing. I’ll have Danny, and his babies, and I’ll make friends outside of the hospital. As long as nothing happens to Danny I’m sure I’ll be fine, just like as long as nothing happens to me, or the other people he loves, Danny will be fine.”
It sounded like a warning, and it probably was, but they already knew that. Zatana had warned them that Danny could be dangerous. He would need grounding connections, but everyone did, and the Waynes already knew they were going to be family. On their own any of the Bat clan knew they could go off the deep end, a lot of them had even seen the futures with evil versions of themselves but with the other to care for and about, it kept them on the right track… at least mostly.

A DC X DP IDEA #17 Cinderella
Imagine dis…
Danny has many types of occupations throughout the fandom, from being a member of the JL or JLD to a humble engineer or café barista that wants to live a somewhat normal life. But what if we turn him into a janitor working at the prestigious Gotham Academy
Danny never would have thought he would end up being a janitor at an academy for rich kids in Gotham, a thought passed by as he mopped the floors diligently.
Despite his early years of being a vigilante, he hangs his cape the moment he noticed other heroes popping up as well as being able to fix the Infinite Realms. The JL members used to look for Phantom to offer their tillage and wisdom but when the Ghost King, himself, was able to have some sort of compromise between the humans and ghosts, Amity became a hotspot for the paranormal under the protection of the Ghost king when the Ecto acts had been destroyed in favor for the meta law.
Phantom disappeared, it was one running theory that he finally left to rest, or even that he became a permanent ghost knight for the king as some sort of knighthood for protecting both humans and ghosts during hard times.
The explosion in the Nasty Burger still happened but instead of having all of his loved ones die in that tragic fate, he managed to save his best friends as well his sister. Vlad tried to take them in as a way to show his good faith as well as to show remorse for the things he had done and now trying to make it up to the children. At first, the trio and sister are skeptical as both siblings are the last remnants of his beloved Maddie. But he had proved himself to be a better person despite his quirks, which is his obsession that turned into some sort of protection/obsession/love towards the people he considered family after their deaths.
Danny is now free to enjoy his remaining human life before he joins the afterlife permanently. As much as he wanted to go and join NASA in space, he couldn’t even pass the physical exam to join the program. So, he took his sister’s advice to enjoy his life to the last bit this world has to offer. Even if he still wasn’t crowned king, he started acting king as well as attending various lessons to become king. Vlad offered Danny to be his heir at his company but he refused stating that being a king is already hard work. Add to the fact he had a limitless and infinite amount of funds that he could simply travel the world as many times as he wanted as well splurge money as if it was candy he would still have infinite funds in his treasury. He had joined his now daughter to enjoy the wonders of the world as well visiting and touring to the endless worlds that connected to the Infinite realms. But once he had finished his travels, he had exponentially grown into a fine man in his late 30s. Gaining Jack’s height whilst Maddie’s built, he is a very definition of a twink.
But he wanted to lay low, something mundane, something that can keep him busy as he was itching to do something ever since he returned to his hometown. As much as he had grown, he is still having the mind of an impulsive teen in his teens and threw a dart in which state to settle in and took a computer generator to choose which job to do.
Gotham and the janitor were the ones that showed up and landed a dart in. He thinks it is perfect as not many would be looking into a janitor.
He packed up his things and applied for a job in Gotham Academy as a janitor and immediately settled in his small apartment in Crime Alley when he received approval for his new job.
It has been a week in his new job and he couldn’t be prouder than being able to blend in without the use of his powers. Messing up his hair to make his head a rat’s nest as well as adding some soot in his face, hands, arms, and overalls to make him look like a homeless who had got the job out of pure luck as he kept his back hunch like Clark Kent, Yes he is not slick in hiding in plain sight as he had gotten away in inverted colors but those glasses are not doing a great job.
This new school year he felt that there has been a new buzz in the atmosphere as real Blood Wayne is now attending. The real son of Bruce Wayne one of the rumors said, he had observed in the far at the kid and he looked like his father aside from his colors.
He noticed the kid is not comfortable around the others who tried to talk to him. Broke some spoiled kid’s nose for talking too much about being friends in the right sort. Some girls tried to get close to him by touching his shoulder or being too near his bubble and broke the poor girl’s wrist. Talked too formally and weirdly that he didn’t have any friends aside from Superman’s son, honestly that poor disguise is being passed from Superman to the son at least Bruce Wayne has the sense to have separate personalities from his playboy persona to his Batman persona.
Honestly, he couldn’t even blame the kid for the things he had done that landed him in the principal’s office.
One day when he was taking his lunch in a hidden place in the academy when the door suddenly slammed open and quickly entered the Blood Prince aka Damian Wayne, and immediately relaxed at the door being shut. He quickly looked alarmed at the stranger in the same room but after telling to Damian that he is the school’s janitor by showing his id to prove immediately and visibly relaxed. But to Danny’s eyes, he still looked ready to pounce at Danny for breathing wrong.
A small grumble of stomach destroyed the tension in the room, as Damian Al Ghul Wayne began to feel embarrassed for not only forgetting his lunch, not noticing the janitor, and even being cornered by kids who wish him harm. Damian still didn’t understand why his father had forbade him to fight anyone who are disrespectful to him, leaving him no choice but to run like a coward. The janitor that he had seen a few times around the academy offered him his sandwich which he tries to deny as he is vegetarian, the janitor Daniel, pulled out a vegetarian sandwich that he kept, as he explained that it became a habit of him when his friend who is also a vegetarian forgot their lunch.
Reluctantly Damian received and thanked the janitor and hesitantly took a bite but was surprised at the flavor of the generous amount of vegetables as well as some substitutes that gave so much flavor. Then Daniel, call him Danny he insisted, and offered him a small Tupperware filled with various fruits as dessert. Both began to chat about mindless things up until the bell rang as a reminder at lunchtime ended. Danny called out that Damian is always welcome at this little hidden place to escape or just have a quiet time by himself, Damian just nodded silently and the next day Damian appeared at the door and asked for Danny’s permission to enter the room which Danny laughed and gestured Damian to enter.
From that day on a bond formed between the two.
Damian would spend his lunch breaks and free time in the safety of the hidden room and he is always greeted by Danny still in his soot-filled overalls and messy and rat-like hair in a corner. As they both eat their respective lunches each day, slowly but surely Damian became open to the humble janitor, He would pop different questions starting with the mundane and normal questions and about the vocabulary of normal teenagers that his brothers use some absurd words that left him frustrated at the meaning nor the action behind it. Danny happily answered Damian’s question as Damian would come home each day becoming a real boy.
This made some of the Wayne kids horrified at who taught this demon spawn what yeet means. Some cackled at what could they do to further corrupt Damian. Damian let the rest of his supposed siblings come up with whatever theory on how he learned such vocabulary as it was, he and Danny’s little island of secret and peace at school, away from his imbeciles of brothers as well his noisy classmates.
Danny stared at the piece of an envelope as if it had offended him. Vlad asked him if he could be his plus one at the upcoming Wayne gala for another charity by Bruce Wayne and since Brucie Wayne was not getting younger he had thrown a masquerade ball as a theme in the said gala since it was nearing the Halloween season. Danny had thought about denying the invite but with the thought of Vlad rarely asking Danny things he reluctantly called Sam. Despite distancing herself from her surname she kept some of her connections during her teens and got Danny a good tailor for a suit that resembles during the Victorian era with the color scheme black and silver add a toxic green and silver mask which he crafted himself that goes well with his suit that covers his entire upper face leaving his mouth and hair visible.
When Vlad picked him up, he noticed that he got him got slacked jawed at Danny’s overall appearance. Maybe it is because he had straightened up his back and showed his real height, maybe it’s because of his tiny waist that is visible despite wearing a full vest and suit or maybe it is because of the mysterious air that Danny seemed to surround him with as he demands command and respect just standing silently as he let Vlad gawk and compare between the badger and feral little shit during his teenage years to the person sitting across the limousine looking like a noble right out of the Victorian era.
Bruce didn’t pick for tonight’s gala theme but due to Dick’s insistence that Damian never actually experienced a masquerade ball along with Jason’s persuasion to attend the gala so that he could live out his nerd self-made, Bruce made it real. Now all of his children are scattered and he could see Tim at the edge of the window the verge of passing out. Dick drags Damian to enjoy the theme while Jason is releasing his inner theater kid using the other higher population of Gotham as his supposed audience for his dramatics. Since no one can see which masked guests contain the Waynes made it is easier to ignore and evade both media as well the upper socialite of Gotham.
He was about to grab a glass of champagne from the tray of a passing waiter when he fainted slipping to enter his Brucie persona when he was immediately grabbed from his waist as if to watch him.
As he is about to thank the man for catching him, he wasn’t about to slip, when he suddenly forgot how to talk.
A man a lot taller than Bruce himself has a slim build but Bruce could see some muscles that seem show themselves just for Bruce to see through, wearing a Victorian-style suit that seemed to complement the mask that covers the man’s entire upper face showing for Bruce to see a wolfish grin at him as a fluffy amount of hair rests on top of the man.
The man introduced himself as Nightgale and both men seemed to hit off. Both felt comfortable in each other’s company so they both escaped the main lobby that contains the guests as they both chat amicably at the porch without noticing the cold wind bothering the two. Bruce never once went into his Brucie persona nor he felt the man was lying.
Bruce was about to introduce himself when he heard the loud crashing of the window allowing Joker and his goons to enter the gala thus destroying the mood.
Bruce didn’t let it show but he is annoyed at the Joker’s timing as he tried to escape to change into Batman. Suddenly Nightgale grabbed him by the wrist and carried him outside bridal style, Bruce didn’t suddenly feel his heartbeat suddenly getting faster he didn’t feel his ears getting warmer as Nightgale seem to carry him out to safety, no he didn’t. Some goons tried to stop the two but Nightgale continued after he had quickly disposed of the goons that blocked their way. He didn’t feel his heart skip a beat at the fact that this man seemed to protect Bruce, the Batman like he was some princess in need of saving.
Both he and Nightgale suddenly found themselves in a hidden garden that only the Waynes knew of. Bruce didn’t feel his breath taken away by this mysterious man when he let Bruce onto his feet once again as the moon shines at them making Nightgale look so ethereal.
As soon as Nightgale heard the stroke of midnight he left Bruce after kissing the back of his hand as he kneeled in revelry.
Bruce didn’t freeze at the spot; Bruce didn’t get himself tranced at the event and had Alfred fetch him and drove him back to the manor. Bruce didn’t act like a girl in high school, squealing at having her crush notice her and ask her out as he sat behind the car back to the manor.
After teasing their father at his predicament, they are now invested in the man who seemingly took their father’s attention as well as able to develop some sort of crush on him at the gala. Jason is fully invested as he read too many novels and now sees Bruce as a main character in need of help to find his prince charming.
Danny is just minding his own business as he kept sneezing at random times and asked himself if the dead can get sick.
 PS: If someone out there wanted to continue or make a fic about this you are free to do so, don’t forget to tag me though.

Look. Look. I am as invested as the next person in a nuanced, well-developed exploration of the fractured relationship between the college trio, but I contain multitudes, and also just really need more AUs in my life where Maddie actually knows Vlad is now a ghost loser simp intent on getting Jack out of the picture and plans on ctrl-v-ing himself in his ex-best-friend's place like a badly photoshopped family picture, because I think this has the potential to be absolutely HILARIOUS.
Neither of them tells Jack because Maddie can't bear to break her husband's heart by revealing the truth about their long-lost friend, and Vlad won't tell him because, on top of the obvious reasons, Jack also keeps inviting Vlad to stuff. Family dinner? Danny's school events? Camping trips? It's remarkably convenient as it puts him in a great position to play Uncle Vlad until he can successfully enact his bonkers plan.
Except now, in addition to Danny knowing Vlad is up to no good and being very much not on board with the Fruitloop's whole shtick, Maddie's in the same boat too. But Maddie and Danny are keeping this info from each other because she still doesn't/can't know her son is Phantom and if Danny outs Vlad, Vlad will turn around and spill his little secret too. And for Maddie's part, she probably just doesn't want her son knowing that Vlad is a ghost. It's a bad look to admit you've welcomed a specter from the afterlife into your house (on multiple occasions) when you've spouted off how dangerous these creatures are since your kiddos could walk.
This sets up a scenario where you've got Jack: oblivious, Danny: trying not to reveal his secret while also keeping Vlad from murdering his dad, Maddie: being a badass ghost hunter protecting her family and blasting Vlad into next Tuesday every chance she gets, and Vlad: just, being very...Vlad about everything. Chaos and hilarity ensues.
Can you see my vision?
Jack's humming to himself while making dinner, back turned, unaware anything is amiss as Maddie saves his life, firing a blaster at Plasmius and sending him through a wall before he can attack her husband. She immediatley hides the ecto-weapon behind her back, giving a too-enthusastic "how was your day sweetie!" when Danny walks in the door, brows raised. Jack turns around at the interruption, giving a bright, oblivious, "Where'd Vladdy go?!" which prompts a groan and a "that guy's here again?" from Danny.
Maddie and Danny can bond over their shared aversion to Vlad's general existance, though neither of them admit there's a little more to it than just "he's an arrogant asshole." Or, better yet, they're both putting on the facade, keeping up pretenses, pretending they don't despise the dude, because how are they supposed to explain why they despise the dude? Vlad is impossibly amused by the whole song and dance they're doing, because of course, he's the only one who realizes that Maddie and Danny both know he's a half ghost and are keeping that from each other. And like, as if he's going to let them in on that little tidbit unless it directly benefits him.
Sometimes Maddie and Danny run into awkward situations where they're both trying to protect Jack, but they don't realize it, and they can't be overt about it without the other person realizing what's going on. "Don't you have homework? You go do that, I'll check on your father and...uncle Vlad." "Oh, no, no, don't you worry about it, you're so busy, Mom. I can go check on them!" "That's really not necessary. I don't mind at all." Meanwhile, Vlad is in the kitchen like "why don't you check that cooking oil with your face, Jack? Oh, I know it sounds unorthodox, but I swear that's how they do it in France."

You Are in Love Jazz/Cass
Jasmine Fenton let out a sigh as she followed behind her boss as they made their way across the large ballroom. It was the annual Wayne Charity Gala for Criminal Justice Reform and as a public defender at Gotham County Courthouse, Jazz was unfortunately obligated to be there rubbing elbows with rich, pretentious assholes. It was for a wonderful cause, and all of the money went to local nonprofit organizations that helped give people the life-saving resources that would keep them from reoffending or resorting to working for the Goonion as Jazz had heard it called.
When she had first graduated from Harvard Law, she hadn’t known what exactly she wanted to do. What kind of law she wanted to practice, who she wanted to help. And then Danny had told her about how bad Gotham was. After he had started working with Constantine and the rest of the Justice League Dark on the more magical problems, he had started to tell Jazz about all of the horrors of Gotham from when the bats called him there for assistance.
It was then that Jazz finally realized what it was that she was wanting to do. She wanted to help reform the horrible justice system that was the Gotham City justice system and help with the major crime that was going on there. So she had put in an application to be a public defender in Gotham County to help the most disenfranchised people of Gotham and she found her way to New Jersey of all places.
Four years later and the public defender’s office had been completely redone under the watchful eye of Jasmine Fenton and she had managed to make it work like a well oiled machine. She had helped partner with a few nonprofits who helped them work on their basic needs while the PD’s office focused more on helping them keep from going to prison or worse–Arkham.
It wasn’t a perfect system but it was getting better. So here she was, prepared to schmooze with the best of them to get more funding for all of the different organizations that were helping them reduce Gotham recidivism. For the first time in her life, Jazz found herself thankful for the lessons that she had received from Vlad when it came to trying to get people to give her money. Not that she would ever admit that to her godfather.
She plastered her most pleasant smile on her face as she floated through the ballroom, trying to not be self conscious of the fact that she was in a long, green ball gown that had already caused a few people to make comments about the fact that combined with her red hair was reminiscent of Poison Ivy. It was a little embarrassing but her girlfriend had told her multiple times that she looked good in it and that had her feeling a bit better. If her girlfriend thought it looked good, then it had to be.
She would never lie to Jazz.
Jazz was slightly suspicious that her girlfriend didn’t even know how to lie.
Teal eyes roved through the city as she eyed the other gala guests, looking for her next target. She really needed to find someone to chat with or else she was going to start looking a bit too awkward.
Then, her eyes landed on the most beautiful woman in the room and Jazz felt her stomach flutter a bit in anticipation as she made her way to Jazz.
Jasmine Fenton was a ruthless, cutthroat defense attorney. She scared Harvey Dent. Yet her girlfriend seemed to make her weak at the knees every time she so much as looked Jazz’s way.
Cassandra Wayne was the only daughter of Brucie Wayne, the playboy billionaire and host of their lovely gala for the night. Jazz had met her for the first time just two years prior when she had been forced to attend her first gala. The woman had been following Brucie around like a shadow, a pleasant, if not forced smile plastered onto her face as she followed the man around the room, sneaking glasses of champagne from her overly intoxicated father’s hand whenever she thought he had been drinking too much, or glaring menacingly at women who tried to approach the older man in attempts to get him to bring them home.
Then her eyes had landed on Jazz and she had given her the most genuine, beautiful smile that the redhead had ever seen. Jazz had found herself compelled to go over and talk to both Brucie and his daughter and it was probably the best decision she had ever made in her life. Bruce had managed to convince Cass to drift off with Jazz while he got into a long conversation with one of the DA’s who was also at attendance at that gala.
Which was fine with Jazz. The two ladies had found themselves chatting the rest of the night, trading stories, people watching, commiserating over the fact that they were forced to even be at a gala in the first place. And then as the night had come to an end, Cassandra had slipped Jazz a napkin with a phone number and a smiley face before she gave Jazz another one of those breathtaking smiles that had her swooning where she stood.
And really, the rest was history. The women had found themselves talking more and more, seeking one another out whenever they had the chance. Jazz had gone to see Cass’s ballet shows and Cass started to make weekly trips to the courthouse to make sure that the red head was eating properly and taking care of herself.
Somehow they had found themselves here. In a happy, comfortable relationship, living together in a nice brownstone in Upper Gotham and attending fancy galas together. Cass still followed her father like a shadow and Jazz still had to unfortunately kiss ass to a bunch of rich billionaires but sometime during the night they would find one another and get just a little too wrapped up in one another to even notice anyone else.
“Fancy seeing you here, beautiful,” a soft, polite voice said, as strong, calloused hands twined with Jazz’s dainty soft ones. Jazz looked down at her gorgeous, amazing, beautiful girlfriend and felt her cheeks go red like it was that first night all over again.
“I know, it’s almost like your father is hosting the charity ball,” Jazz said with a soft snort. Cass gave her that soft, secretive smile that always seemed to draw the older woman in.
Her kohl lined eyes rolled once as she glanced over at where Bruce was laughing loudly, throwing his arm over Oliver Queen’s shoulder as he laughed raucously, causing others to look over at him in thinly veiled disdain.
“Yes, he does enjoy coming to these,” Cass said, her nose crinkled ever so slightly. Jazz just gave her girlfriend a small smile.
“He seems to be really hamming it up tonight,” Jazz said with a laugh as her girlfriend just let out a tired sigh and shook her head. That was one of the fun parts of getting to know Cass, Jazz started to learn a bit more about all of the family and their treasure trove of secrets. She learned that Bruce Wayne wasn’t nearly as ditzy and arrogant as he let people think and was much more level headed and open. She had gotten to know each of Cass’s siblings as well and learn a bit more of each of them.
And then she had gotten to learn the real secret about the Waynes after dating her girlfriend for a year. She had learned about their nightly activities and had been more than excited to learn as much as she could about them. Not only that but then she got to listen to them tell her fun stories about her baby brother. Apparently he worked rather closely with Cass’s younger brother, Tim and the two caused more chaos than Danny had ever let her know about.
It was fun, getting to know all of the secrets behind her girlfriend, to learn every facet of who she was and how she came to be. How there were days when words were just too much for the shorter women, when days were so hard and difficult that she couldn’t seem to get out of bed. Then there were the days when her laugh filled their apartment along with the pitter patter of her feet as she danced along the kitchen to music only she could hear.
And Jazz found herself able to talk to someone who understood what it was like to grow up with just plain insanity. She felt more comfortable telling Cass about her childhood, opening up about the fact that the reason she was interested in justice reform was because her own parents had been thrown in prison when she had been just twenty years old after what they had done to Danny. Not to mention the years of neglect that they had endured under her parents' care.
Cass never looked at her like she was insane when she mentioned times where she had to beat down turkeys with a baseball bat. They found solace in one another, a comfort that Jazz had never felt before in her life. She found acceptance in Cassandra Wayne and she was addicted to it. In love with the feeling of being in love.
Cass treated Jazz like she was fine china, a delicate thing that needed to be treasured and loved. And Jazz made sure that Cass felt the same way, that Cass knew that she was loved and valued. That the shorted, hardened woman knew that she was more than just a weapon for other’s to use. That she could be more than just Black Bat.
That she could be whatever she wanted to be. That she was Jazz’s tiny dancer that she adored endlessly.
“Would you like to dance?” Cass asked, the corners of her eyes crinkled slightly with her smile.
“You just like showing off,” Jazz said with a roll of her eyes before taking Cass’s hand, watching the way her yellow ball gown seemed to swish around her as she led the taller woman to the dance floor.
“I like showing you off, yes,” Cass said simply before she rested her hand on Jazz’s waist, the other holding Jazz’s hand carefully. “How is it?”
“It’s fine,” Jazz said with a huff as she looked around at the other party goers. “We’re raising a lot of money already and we haven’t even gotten to the silent auction yet. I just hate having to play nice with all of these people.”
“Better than me,” Cass said simply as she allowed Jazz to twirl her around a bit. Jazz gave her a small smile and shook her head in amusement.
“You just have to smile and you have everyone here vying for your attention. You’re the favorite out of Brucie’s kids, you know,” Jazz told her with a small grin.
“Whatever. Tim’s the favorite,” Cass pointed out. Jazz just shook her head and dipped Cass down before pulling her back and giving the woman a soft kiss.
“Whatever you say,” she murmured, lips a hair’s breadth from Cass’s. “If it’s any consolation, you’re my favorite.”
Cass let out a hum, her eyes fluttered closed for a moment as she relished in the attention from the red head. “Everyone is watching.”
“Let them,” Jazz said, running her nose along Cass’s jawline for a moment before they went back to spinning and swaying and sashaying through the dance floor. “Isn’t that what you always tell me? Let them watch?”
Cass hummed. “Makes you more interesting,” she murmured. “Sometimes you’re scary, dancing makes you more approachable. More open.”
Jazz scoffed. “I’m approachable.”
“Intimidating,” Cass told her, pinching her side lightly. “Powerful women scare people. You’re powerful. Scarry. Unapproachable.”
“It’s not my fault that people are cowards and are intimidated by me,” Jazz grumbled. Cass just smiled and shook her head.
“No, but dancing makes you seem more approachable. More,” Cass paused and thought for a moment. “More human,” she finally said.
“I’m human,” Jazz argued.
“No, liminal. Big difference,” she said with a laugh. “Sometimes you stand too still, your eyes glow too much. Too strong, a little too other,” she said, smiling up at Jazz.
Jazz rolled her eyes and just gave her girlfriend another kiss. “Well, I suppose we can prove to everyone that I’m a non intimidating, kind, fully human person.”
Cass let out an excited giggle and allowed Jazz to spin her across the ballroom. The attorney just grinned as they took over the dancefloor, her love for her girlfriend bloomed in her chest.

Dark Blue Moon and the Suffering Sun Chapter 24
MEGA WARNING FOR VLAD BEING A CREEP, HUMAN EXPERIMENTATION, NEEDLES, NUDITY, MORE CREEPINESS AND DANNY GETTING SHOT
big thanks to @impyssadobsessions as well as @faerplay for their help with the first scene owo
MASTAPOST
Hazy fog closes around his mind. Danny turns in fits in his sleeping position. The water is cold, the ocean is eerily quiet. His mind is dragged back to a cold room at the bottom of the ocean, even as he claws the ground, unable to remain in the present.
Danny struggles, but his hands are stuck. His legs are tied together. He screams. Nothing comes out. He begs for help. Nobody hears. He cries for his parents to come save him. Nobody comes. Danny is trapped there for a thousand years and will never see the light of day again.
Nobody comes to save him when kind eyes and tender hands enter the room. The voice is sweet, and light, like a fairy god-uncle come to save him. Nobody comes to save him when the hands burned his skin with their touch. Danny’s fins rattle, shooting up straight like goosebumps.
Nobody protects him. Nothing protects him. His bare skin shivers in the cold air of the lab. His skin burns hot. Hot from shame, from disgust and violation. The kind eyes are not kind at all – they stare in hunger as bare and uncovered as his own body. It burns when needles plunge into his skin. It burns when the sigils are carved into his back, only to heal and then be carved again. It burns when the hands caress his cheek and the voice tells him it will be alright.
The voice is lying. It will always be lying.
Danny begs for the scene to go away. He has seen this all before. The room shifts. Red hair sways in the wind. Gunshots fire. Danny runs, but he cannot. He has no legs. He crawls back underneath glaring hatred. The eyes zeroed in on his heart grow. They grow and multiply and there are hundreds now. Hundreds of faces. Some in white suits. Some in brilliant Amani. Some in jumpsuits. Some in child-sized hoodies and jeans.
Danny’s vision shifts between the waking and the dreaming world. Details blend into each other like melting portraits. His lateral line senses Damian a million miles away and also right behind him and inside his guts with a sword. His ears register fictional water rushing, and very real vitriolic words spat out by fifty voices overlapping.
Danny’s eyes were thick with pearlescent slime when the real became fake again and the fake was revealed as the truth. The voices faded away into the background. The quiet of the ocean came back. Nothing like the clinical silence that drove him to tears in…
Danny jumped back. His scales shivered like rats under a microscope. He rubbed his body all over, the brushed it, then ground against his scales. Anything to get rid of the phantom fingers on his body, to get rid of the ghost touches that lingered even months later.
‘You need to ground yourself. Something to anchor your mind to the here and now. Let’s try a grounding exercise together, ok?’ Jazz said, once, when she caught him stumbling around the house at three am, skin matted in cold sweat and eyes wild like a cornered rat.
He saw himself. He saw his white scales and the bones underneath and the millions of nerves and blood vessels that you could only see if you squinted just close enough. And he saw Sam, smiling as she told him it was the most beautiful sight she’d seen in her entire life.
The supplies that he and Damian plundered from the Atlanteans, a chaotic and exciting fight that left him smiling on the inside even as he questioned the kid’s sanity.
He saw Damian inside his makeshift sleeping bag, the boy who had gone through so much pain, and will be forever changed, like Danny. He would not be able to shift like Danny’s half-human body could, nor talk or hide his siren traits perfectly and blend in plain sight. And the tears started again, so Danny forced himself to move on.
He couldn’t say if the grounding technique solved anything. Jazz told him as much. At least he felt alone again. Better than feeling the company of the evillest man he’d ever met.
Danny wiped away the last of the tears. The pearls that beaded up on the floor were swept away into the open ocean, never to be seen again. Better that Damian didn’t have more things to worry about than his failed rescuer failing even further.
The younger siren woke up soon after, shivering violently. He hoped Damian had better dreams. Danny passed another satchel for warmth, but Damian refused to even look at him, or take the thing. They had breakfast together in silence, as Damian rubbed his scales to stave off the cold.
They departed without a hitch. Danny’s cheeks continued to burn white hot, this time with guilt.
Jazz Fenton chanted in her head. ‘Go faster little brother. Please. Don’t stop.’
But it was futile. The radar showed him going too slow. The SAV would catch up to him today. Then they would capture him, and then-
Jazz pulled out all the stops. Every coping technique she could apply, she applied. She clutched Bearbert to her chest like a lifeline, like he was Danny’s lifeline. She took deep breaths and counted to them. She counted things she could see, hear, touch, smell and taste.
There had to be a way out of this.
Jazz turned around only to bump into the massive body of Bruce Wayne. If she didn’t know better she would’ve thought that she’d run into a brick wall.
A hand grabbed hers just as she lost her balance. “Steady there, Jasmine!” Bruce Wayne said.
Shit. The one person she didn’t want to talk to right now.
Jazz schooled her features into polite embarrassment. “Oh, s-sorry Mr Wayne! I didn’t realise you were there!”
For such a large guy, Bruce Wayne was stupidly stealthy. The man waved off her concerns. “There’s no trouble, Jasmine. You look worried. Is something wrong?”
Everything was wrong. Jazz went for a half-truth, something that can misdirect him away from her true feelings. “We’re so close to catching up to Phantom. I just… I want my brother back.”
She did not avert her eyes, but she did maintain eye contact up until the last word, upon which she turned away, and looked out into the window. Excessive eye contact was a tell for liars. Avoidance would make her suspicious. She had to maintain a balance.
Bruce Wayne leaned out the window beside her, and she almost screamed. Goddammit! Take a hint and fuck off already!
He took a deep long sigh. “So do I.”
Jazz counted the seconds until it was polite enough to leave. However, part of her was curious. “What was your disagreement with mom and dad about last night?” She said carefully.
Bruce Wayne rubbed the back of his neck. She had a gut feeling it was fake, but couldn’t prove it. “Well, as your mother said, we were just having a… discussion about Phantom’s fate.”
Jazz tightly grasped her tone and timbre, not letting her voice betray anything. “And what do you think we should do with him?”
The man sighed. “In all honesty, I don’t know. He needs to face justice for his actions, but how that will be conducted, I don’t know.”
Jazz’s chest heaved. For all his talk, Bruce Wayne was only less blood thirsty than her parents. That he was sympathetic to the sirens had no evidence. She was foolish to even think so last night.
But maybe he can be swayed, just as he swayed her parents?
“It’s not like you can put him in jail.” Jazz muttered.
“There are plenty of metahumans and other supernatural species in prisons. I should know. I helped fund their rehab programs.” Bruce Wayne’s tone was also even, like he was testing her.
“The GiW doesn’t have jurisdiction over metahumans and other supernatural creatures.”
“You’re afraid for him.”
Jazz’s heart rate spiked. No, no, she had to keep a handle on the situation. Do not catastrophise. Do not catastrophise. “You believe in rehabilitation, don’t you?”
“It’s all I ever dream of, for my city.”
“Is vivisection included in your plans for bringing criminals back into society?”
Bruce Wayne’s expression hardened by a fraction, something she only noticed from intensely studying his face as she spoke. “It isn’t.”
“What do us normal people do when the bodies trusted to dispense justice misuse their powers?” Jazz’s voice sharpened. “After capturing Phantom, and getting Danny and Damian back, what kind of justice can be dispensed that doesn’t involve humans performing the most inhuman punishments imaginable?”
Bruce Wayne’s eyes narrowed. Jazz felt seen through. Shit. She spoke too much.
“You don’t agree with your parents on sirens, do you?”
Jazz straightened her back, using her father’s genes to stand only a head shorter than the towering man. She stared straight up at his eyes, unwavering. “That was always clear. The real question is: do you?”
Bruce Wayne said nothing.
The day passed by without Danny even noticing. The sun began to sink into the horizon. It was probably about four pm or something now. Thankfully, the ocean’s surface wasn’t as populated with obstacles as your average road, or else Danny would’ve crashed many times already. He fought to keep his eyes open. After all that had happened, he felt so, so tired.
He looked to the moon for guidance. Apparently lots of more isolated tribes worshipped the moon. He could see why. It was vital for its role in creating the tides.
He always dreamed of walking on the moon. Fat chance of that happening now. Would it even listen to him if he prayed?
Danny nudged Damian with his shoulder. “You know, I’ve been told there are lots of sirens that worship the moon. Ain’t that neat?”
Damian buried his face into the crook of his green-scaled arm.
“Maybe we should say a prayer. I’m not a very religious guy, but maybe someone will listen?”
Danny tried a few more times to get a response out of Damian, but he was stone-walled out each time.
“D-Damian. Please. I know what’s happening to you is horrible, and I’m sorry I haven’t been helping as much as I should. But I genuinely didn’t know about your voice. You have to believe me. I-I-I was raised alone. I’ve barely known any other sirens in my life.”
Damian sniffed. Was he crying?
“Damian?”
Engines sounded in the distance. Danny’s blood went coat.
He turned around, and his worst fears were confirmed. His heart rate spiked. On the horizon, two jets skis closed in. Their speed and power blasted water into the air in their wake. He could recognise his mother’s red hair anywhere, but his heart spiked when he spotted Bruce Wayne on the other speeder.
“Father.” Damian whispered.
Danny went full throttle. He pulled Damian to his chest, ignoring the boy writhing to get out of his grasp. No. He couldn’t let his parents get their hands on Damian. How could he have been so careless?! Of course Bruce Wayne would talk to the ‘siren experts’ in town.
Hydroplasm rays pierced the surface of the water. Danny swerved to the side as one sailed where his head had just been. He jumped out of the water as another two almost hit their mark. Shit. All this dodging was slowing him down, and his pursuers got ever closer.
“What are you doing?! My father is right there!” Damian shouted, the loudest he’d been in over 24 hours. “Release me right this moment!”
“He’s with the Fentons!” Danny yelled back. A shot struck him in the back. Danny screamed. Tears formed in his eyes. “He won’t recognise you!”
“I must try! I can communicate with him in writing!” Damian redoubled his efforts to escape Danny’s hold.
“Are you insane!? The Fentons will put you on a dissection table before you can try such a thing.”
“Father would never allow it!”
“They’ll kill you!”
“Phantom!” Came Bruce Wayne’s voice booming through a megaphone. “Stand down now, and we can do this the easy way!”
“See?! My father is not a violent man!”
“It’s not your father I’m worried about!” It just came slipping out.
His mom’s voice came next. “You get back here Phantom and you will tell me what you did to my baby boy Danny or I will rip you apart. Molecule by fucking molecule!”
Danny’s blood froze again. Damian ripped himself out of Danny’s arms. The boy emerged from the water, arms raised in a sign of surrender. “Damian!” He shouted. Shit. Shit shit shit. His mother aimed a gun right at Damian’s heart. Damian’s eyes widened. He turned around in an instant. Danny never swam faster in his life.
Seconds dragged into minutes. His mom pulled the trigger. Bruce Wayne yelled. “Maddie! Stop!”
Danny snatched Damian away. A weighted net launched at dizzying speeds. Danny just barely avoided its trajectory. One of the weights slammed into his tailfin and pain shot up.
The distraction rewarded him with a shot to the arm. With one arm clutching Damian and the other in pain, he could barely swim. The speedboats surrounded them. Danny’s breath hitched. He tried to flip himself and descend, but he only managed half a meter before another net ensnared his body.
He felt a prick on his neck, and Danny’s vision went dark. The last thing he saw was his beloved mother’s cold, calculating eyes.
His skin burnt. He felt naked again.

Bounty Hunter AU but DCxDP
OK, so I really enjoyed my bounty hunter au, but I feel like I could make it more entertaining. This is a human au btw.
Some info: Bounty hunter is an actual job and are mostly called bail enforcement agents or fugitive recovery agents. They can legally pursue fugitives across state lines and break and enter their house without a warrant if they know the fugitive is there. They primarily pursue and apprehend fugitives who have skipped bail or failed to appear for court proceedings. Only 4 states ban bounty hunting; Oregon, Kentucky, Illinois, and Wisconsin. (I do not know if this would be mirrored in DC because of how many super villains there are.) The laws regarding bounty hunters vary state to state. Only the USA and the Philippines have legalized bounty hunters.
Danny becomes a bounty hunter out of spite towards the GIW. His goal is to show up the GIW bounty hunter group and rub it in their face. And to catch Vlad and turn in the bounty on his head.
Danny's gotten pretty good at being a bounty hunter. He's caught quite a few criminals and is on the case of another one that happens to have crossed over into one of the hero's territory.
Here's a few ideas of how this could go:
Danny goes to Gotham to catch Johnny and Kitty. Given that their aesthetic matches Gotham pretty well, they're able to blend in well enough that even though Danny's tracked them to Gotham and is loosely working with the commissioner, he has to resort to asking for help from the Bats. Neither side trusts the other. Danny nearly gives up when Johnny and Kitty go through another dramatic break-up that has nearly the entirety of Gotham gossiping about it. He finds them, handcuffs them, and leaves for Amity. Both the bats and himself are relieved to not be dealing with the other.
Danny goes to Gotham to catch Spectra. Her and her butler are slippery and wonderful at disappearing, but given the amount of poverty they stick out. This tips off the Bats' that something's wrong. Danny gets to town and while the bats do not trust him, he's working(sorta) with Commissioner Gordon. As a last ditch effort to avoid getting caught, Spectra and Bertrand join Joker and Harley. Despite the four getting along, Harley gets jealous which causes them to have an explosive falling out, catching everyone's eyes. The situation becomes Spectra & Bertrand v Joker & Harley v Danny & the Bats.
Danny goes to Metropolis to catch Aragon. He chose the place because he thought it would be easy to lay low and then start a new cult. He wasn't wrong. Danny teams up with investigative reporter, Clark Kent, to find the slimy ex-cult leader.
Skulker goes to Jump City to hunt Beast Boy. He, unlike most of Danny's other bounties, is wanted in several states. He's also one of the few to seek out Danny specifically. So when Danny shows up to prevent him from doing his job, Skulker sees it as an opportunity to use BB as bait. A 'two birds, one stone' sorta thing. Danny teams up with the rest of the Teen Titans to take down Skulker and save BB.
The GIW ends up chasing down the same fugitive as Danny (for different bounties) in Star City. Green Arrow has to keep the two from destroying his city.
Desiree goes to hide in Faucet City. She's laying low by working as a fortune teller(cliche I know) but the ambient magic is causing her reading to be rather accurate. Especially the readings about misfortune. This gains her the attention of the news and Wiz Radio Show host, Billy Batson. The news is how Danny learns where she is. Billy thinks that Desiree is a new villain, while Danny's just trying to figure out how Desiree became such a popular fortune teller while trying not to make a huge scene. The two meet and immediately clock the other as a potential ally in taking down Desiree quietly. Between how many secrets Billy keeps and Danny's constant off-the-wall split second decision making, it's like working with the Bats again but they actually get along.
and here's two crack-ish ideas for you:
Danny is standing just outside of Wisconsin while Vlad taunts him. Saying stuff about how sad it is that bounty hunting isn't legal in Wisconsin. Danny just calls the fricken cops on him instead.
Or instead of Danny calling the cops, he just starts leaving. Vlad is not done taunting him though and starts to follow him, when he realizes he's fallen into a trap and left the relative safety of Wisconsin.

Danny Phantom headcanons I just thought of!
For starters: Not really a headcanon, but I love it when people write Danny using astronomy related nicknames for his partners. It makes the brain worms happy
-All ghosts have a specific weakness tied to when they died. It is HIGHLY frowned upon to knowingly use this against someone. Like, they can recover from it, but not easily
-this weakness is especially prominent in Halfas
-Out of the three Halfas, Danny is the only one who really has the weakness. Since the weakness is based on Death, he's the only one it really applies to?
-Vlad died slowly over time due to one event of mass exposure to ectoplasm, which I'm saying seeped into an open sore like acne in his face, and then replicated said acne. While the original case healed, the ectoplasm was in his bloodstream, and since he was fully alive it was slowly over time taking over his bloodcells, until eventually one day he, just found himself with enough of it that he was able to use ghost powers, and then the ectoplasm recognized him as a ghost and stopped harming him
-Dani was never really fully alive. She has a slight weakness to electricity as residue from Danny, but it's barely more than how one would normally react to being shocked
-For Danny though, the electric shock from the portal killed him, and the Lichtenberg scars that were formed as a result counted as enough of an open wound the ectoplasm started seeping in. Since the ectoplasm crept into the scar of what killed him though, he has a weakness to electricity
-this does also mean that if someone were to die by a fire, the ectoplasm would go into burn scars. They die by bleeding out though? Well, being stabbed was going to be a weakness anyways. Someone dies by drowning, the ectoplasm takes over the lungs, since they went out of commission, etc.
-TLDR: Ectoplasm works by taking over blood cells. Souls don't have those, so they just become fully ectoplasmic beings, AKA ghosts. Live people have blood cells, and the ectoplasm seeps into whatever open scars may exist until it occupies 50-75% of the bloodstream, making you recognizable as a ghost, and a halfa.
-BONUS FOR IF YOU WANT DC IN HERE!
-the reason Jason has pit madness is because the pit is ectoplasm (as most have agreed on) and since he was a corpse, the ectoplasm wasn't sure where to go. He didn't have any pumping blood for it to take it over, and so it settled in as his nervous system. But then the ACTUAL nervous system and blood vessels started working, and they're doing they're best to push out the mysterious entity, but the ectoplasm is sentient, and therefore trying to stay. (It's losing)
-this does mean that in my headcanon Jason can either become the fourth halfa, or become fully human again, depending on if the ectoplasm keeps fighting, or if he meets Danny who teaches him to control it
-side note: If he were to become fully human again he'd likely have a shorter lifespan since his body would be used to having assistance against things like injuries or poisons and wouldn't be able to learn how to heal fully by itself again fast enough to save him.

Little things I liked/thought were funny/want to yell into the void about (but not in a bad way) in the first Nicktoons Untie game and only the first one because it's the only one I've actually played part of and I'm biased. SPOILERS ABOUND!
Sandy unironically making Patrick a spy
Patrick immediately blows his cover and gets captured
the whole bit before and after Plankton's boss fight about his mother
the video call from Calamatus where Plankton and Vlad have to finish his sentences
the fact that said call doesn't have Crocker in it+the camera movements being janky like a person was holding it as opposed to a robot, so one could infer that Crocker was holding the camera for the Big Plan Reveal To The Heroes TM
Timmy calling Spongebob a piece of cheese
Goddard has fleas. this is an integral part of the plot
"Well this is the craziest thing I've seen since....well, since last Tuesday." Spongebob. Spongebob what happened buddy. What happened. What did you do.
Spongebob's little scared jump animation in some of the cutscenes where his eyes bulge out of his face like a looney tune
"Great things come in small packages-just ask Wanda!" COSMO WHAT THE FUCK
The fact that Cosmo and Wanda can be out and visible and shit, like the Secret Fairy Godparents are no longer secret to anybody here. Crocker can fucking see them.
I get the angst of people making like. fanfics and whatnot of Timmy losing his fairies and forgetting the other nicktoons. I GET it. but like. honestly. I think he'd be fine.
I just think Jorgen would let Timmy keep his fairies even outside of the whole crossover spinoff games because like. How many fucking times have they had to save the world. From something Timmy didn't make to begin with. Anyways
The Doomsday Device has four comically large wall plugs, which are probably color coded to each of the members for each world being siphoned
Calamatus' stupid little fucking dance while the boys try to scramble and stop the device. Seriously. Look up a cutscene video and watch his little stupid fucking dance.
Spongebob saves the day by unplugging the comically large plugs
Jimmy, after being given a Fenton thermos by Danny: Wait Vlad's not in here is he O-O
Spongebob would have to owe Mr Krabs money for saving the world, the Krusty Krab, and Mr Krabs himself on company time, even though the opening cutscene suggests that Spongebob was off today because his first idea of what to do that day was go visit Patrick.
Everybody talks about Jimmy and Timmy dating, Danny and Spongebob being besties, and the different roles each person plays in the squad's general relationship dynamics, but I wanna know what those Middle-Aged Scientifically-Minded GOOBERS known as the Syndicate had going on while they weren't getting their asses kicked
I'm not even talking about shipping I just want to know what those conversations were like.
Like. Plankton wants a sandwich recipe. His key to ruling Bikini Bottom is a really good burger, but the others might not understand that Krabby Patties are the glue of Bikini Bottom society and therefore an important political piece. How does this fact play off the other villains
Vlad and Plankton seem comfortable finishing Calamatus' sentences for him already and don't really seem annoyed so they must be at least a little friendly with him
Vlad's little run into the portal after his boss fight is actually pretty well done considering the rest of the jank in the animations
Spongebob lets himself be sprayed down in (what is to him) a mystery substance made by a stranger
ASS FIRST MIGHT I ADD
Jimmy's solution to the gang breathing in Bikini Bottom is chewing gum
"Spongebob, your birthday's not for another month"
Jenny XJ-9 should have fucking been there. She had existed for 2 years. My Life as a Teenage Robot had only ended like 2 months before the first Nicktoons Unite game first released in 2005
Yes it was 2005
Look there's 2 cartoons made by Bitch Hartman in this game. Nice of them to add Tak and Zim and Dib and whatnot but I think Jenny would have done well with the others in the first game.
ALSO BECAUSE THERE'S NOT ENOUGH GIRLS!!!!!!! WE NEED MORE GIRLS!!!! SANDY AND SAM AND WANDA AND CINDY ARE NOT ENOUGH!!!!
And!!! AND!!!! Who would be more willing to rule multiple worlds than the fucking CLUSTER???
would've also added like. another world/hour to the game. could be nice for a remake. hint hint wink wink nudge nudge

Locked Up, Chapter 13
Word Count:  1.7k
Warnings:  riot, mentions of violence, mentions of bodies/corpses, mentions of rape, talk of planning a riot/ mentions of murder/planned murder.
Tumblr media
You could feel Bucky and Curtis’ eyes on you as they held you and led you down narrow hallways that you barely knew existed.
“Wh-where are we going?” you asked gently, looking between the large men who had saved you.  Curtis’ eyes met Bucky’s, as though he too had the same question.
“Inmate showers,” Bucky said firmly, “no windows so whatever strategy the outside officers go with they won’t be able to get to you, doll…and the inmates aren’t dumb enough to go and try to start something over there.  Nothing of use to them.”
Curtis’ brow rose, “Nothing?  No supplies?  How do you suggest we wait it out then, Barnes?”
A low growl rose in Bucky’s throat and the two, much larger men, growled at one another, “I think I know what I’m doing, Everett…”
Curtis scoffed, “funny…thought that you were caught red-handed, Barnes…only supplies you had were your little daggers and your boyfriend with the bashed in skull back there.”
Bucky let go of you, his grip from your waist faltering as the air around the three of you intensified.
“James…”
Your voice barely came out above a whisper.
But it was loud enough for the man to hear you as his eyes met your own pleading ones.
He frowned, “this isn’t about either of us, Everett,” Bucky growled, wrapping his arm back around your waist, “this is about our girl…now you’re either with us, or you’re not.  Either way, I’m going to take our little doc to the showers…and I’m going to keep her safe.”
You looked up to Curtis.  His large frame towered over you, and nearly Bucky as well.
You couldn’t help but reach out to him, taking his large hand with your free one, “do-don’t leave us.”
His gaze softened when he pulled away from looking at Bucky, “I-I’m not going to leave you, sweetheart.  I just want to make sure that we have everything we need to keep you safe.”
“Riot won’t last long,” Bucky replied, as his journey was restarted.  He pushed forward down another set of halls, pulling both you and Curtis with him, “there’s only really one goal to it.”
“Th-this was on purpose?” you asked softly, pulling him to a stop once more.
Bucky frowned.
He knew that he said too much by admitting just what the riot was for.
He nodded, “Yeah…but we can’t stop moving, doll. We gotta-“
“You knew this was going to happen?”
Bucky frowned at Curtis once more.
“Are you going to question everything that I do, Everett?”
“Only when it’s irresponsible!” he growled back in response.
“Yes…I knew about the riot,” Bucky grumbled, “I knew that it was going to get started, and some of the inmates planned to go after some of the administration.  It’s why I rushed to our little doc, here.  I knew Steve gave her a note…he was doing it to rub it in my face that he could still take whatever he wanted from me.  Doll…I wasn’t going to just stand by and let him hurt you.”
“Wh-who else?”
Bucky’s brow furrowed, “Wha-what?”
“Who else knew?” You asked, “What’s going to happen?”
Bucky looked down the hall, towards the source of the ever-increasing noise that was growing behind them.  He took your hands in his own and shook his head, “We don’t have time for this right now, doll.”
“Then make time, James.”
He frowned at both your insistence and the tone you took with him, “doll.”
“James.”
“Steve…obviously,” he grumbled, finally starting to answer your question when you didn’t budge, “Hansen.  Levinson and Drysdale.  Pronge.  Storm.  Vlad.  Tucker.”
“God damn it,” Curtis growled, shooting the other man a dangerous look, “you mean to tell me all the fucking psychos knew about this bullshit?”
Bucky’s growl returned, full force at Curtis, “I didn’t plan it, Everett.”
“No…you just knew about it!”
“Who was the main target?”  You asked quickly, keeping yourself between the two men yet again, “Who was everyone going after?”
“Like I said, it was assorted administration,” Bucky said quickly, “I know Steve was coming for you…Drysdale and Levinson were  protecting their girl-“
“Protecting their girl?” you asked, cutting him off, “do you mean…are they going after the warden?”
Bucky nodded, shrugging his shoulders, “something like that.”
“You shuddered, “oh my god…”
“Jesus,” Curtis muttered, “they’re going to kill Bodecker.”
“Now do you see why I wanted to get to the showers?” Bucky growled at Curtis.
Curtis frowned, nodding his head.  He looked at you and took your hand once more, “We have to get you someplace safe, sweetheart…”
Your brow furrowed this time as you noticed just how much the two men who were protecting you seemed to be in agreeance, “What is going on?  Why are you on his side now?”
“Sweetheart…when they realize the warden is dead they’re going to come in full force,” Curtis frowned, admitting what Barnes already knew, “they’ll come in swinging and blame the inmates for any sort of collateral that happens…”
“You mean…”
“They’ll shoot first and ask questions later,” Bucky finished for the much larger man, “that’s why we need to get you into a safe room that doesn’t have any windows or items that could be used as sharp weapons.  That way they have to come in without deadly force.”
Tumblr media
“They’re not coming in.”
“A-Ari…”
“I don’t care Viv,” he grumbled, shooting a look over his shoulder, “we’ve already accumulated enough bodies of fuckers I had to hold off because you believed them.”
“They’ve got the doc.”
“And they can trade her around for some sanctuary,” he replied just as quickly, “but they aren’t coming in!”
“But Ari,” she begged softly, “Barnes-“
“I know that Barnes gave those idiots another idea, but that doesn’t buy him much goodwill with me.”
“Look, “I know that we have some history, Levinson…but I don’t want Viv…just like you don’t want our girl…”
Levinson’s jaw lifted as he looked at Curtis, who had the doc tucked under his arm, “she really your girl?”
Curtis only grunted in response.
Ari smirked.
“Still have a way with words, do you, Everett?”
“Ari…”
He frowned, opening up the door a little bit more so that it would accommodate allowing the three of them to pass him and enter the showers.   Bucky kept his eyes lowered as he passed Ari, but his brow quirked when he saw half a dozen bodies in the corner.
“What the hell is this?”
Instantly, Curtis had pulled his little doc by his side even more, shielding her from the view of the corpses in the corner.
Ari crossed his arms as he looked at Viv, “I was protecting what is mine”
“Looks like you were killing for fun!”
“If you don’t like the set up we have going on then you can fuck off,” the inmate growled, throwing a harsh look at the trio that had entered the room, “no one is forcing you to be here.”
“I didn’t leave an hour ago,” Bucky grumbled, “and when I come back there’s more corpses than people in the room.”
“Can-can we at least move them?”
This time Ari threw a glare in the doctor’s direction, “no one’s forcing you to be here, doc…”
“Ari…” Viv sighed softly, “ma-maybe they’re right…we could put them outside the room…”
“Less likely they’ll shoot at us if there aren’t any bodies in the room,” Curtis bravely pointed out to the rest of the occupants, “keeps both our girls safe.”
Ari seemed to consider the logic for a second before he nodded at Curtis, “help me move them.”
Curtis nodded and released the doc, “go over there with the CO, sweetheart.”
She was hesitant to let him go, but he nodded towards the other woman.
“Curtis-“
“It’s okay baby!” he said gently, rubbing small reassuring circles on her back, “Don’t look at the bodies…okay?”
She nodded, making her way over to Viv, and the two women turned around so that they didn’t have to see the men lifting the corpses.
“Th-thank you for letting us in…”
Viv looked at her co-worker for a second, before quietly nodding to herself.
“I-I thought you hated me…” she said quietly.
“I do…” Viv answered honestly.  The blunt answer nearly knocked the doc back, “but I don’t think this is your fault…A-Ari told me that the riot happened for a reason…”
She nodded, “th-they’re going to kill the warden…”
Viv looked to Ari, worry and anxiety lacing her features.  And instantly the large man knew that he fucked up by not telling her beforehand.  She raced him, tears in her eyes, “you-you knew.”
She was nearly shaking from the worry.
Ari looked to the other woman, and then to Barnes and Everett, and he had his own regrets about letting them in.
When he didn’t respond, Viv pushed Ari, hard.
He took a step back.
“YOU LET HIM FUCKING PROPOSE TO ME WHEN YOU KNEW HE WAS GOING TO TRY AND KILL LEE!” she screamed, angrier than ever.
“Baby-“
“Don’t baby me!” she spat, pushing him again, “WHAT IF SOMETHING HAPPENS TO HUGH?  HUH?  YOU WENT AND LET HIM TRY TO KILL LEE BECAUSE OF WHAT?  SOME EGO ISSUE OVER HIM FUCKING ME?”
“OVER HIM RAPING YOU!” Ari spat, finally breaking as he looked at the woman he loved, “I FUCKING TRIED TO TALK HUGH OUT OF IT, BUT HE WOULDN’T LISTEN.  TRIED TO TELL HIM I WOULD DO IT, BUT HE SAID NO.  HE TOLD ME THAT IF ANYONE WAS GONNA KILL BODECKER IT WAS GOING TO BE HIM.  BECAUSE HE HAD TO DO IT.  FOR YOU!”
Viv got quiet.
“Wh—what?”
“Hugh said he had to do it,” Ari sighed, tears falling down his cheeks and into his beard, “I begged him not to…told him that I would do it, but he told me no.  He told me to make sure that you were safe…and that he’d do it!”
“Wh-what if he doesn’t come back to us, Ari?” she asked weakly, “he-Hugh isn’t a killer….he-he isn’t a-“
“I know…” Ari sighed sadly, “Trust me baby…I know.”
“We have to go after him…” Viv pled as she looked at the larger man, “Ari…please…we have to go get Hugh…”

"Don't come near her again," yelled Danny, pointing in Vlad's face. Vlad continued to smile, looking smug with his hands behind his back.
God, Danny hated that signature smirk of his.
He took off, flying up toward a window of Vlad's mansion and phasing right through it.
"Dani, that was awesome!" he cried, expecting to find Danielle waiting for him. He frowned when he didn't see her anywhere.
"Dani?" He scanned the sky, spotting Valerie in her red and black techno-battle suit standing on her hoverboard.
"Valerie, where's Dani?" he asked, flying up to her.
Danielle popped out of invisibility right in front of him. "Boo!" she squealed.
Danny jumped, causing both Danielle and Valerie to crack up with laughter. Danielle clutched her middle as she giggled.
Danny smiled with relief and placed his hands on his hips in mock irritation. "Ha, ha. Very funny."
"Thank you both!" said Danielle. "I would've been baked into a puddle of nothing if you hadn't saved me."
"That's what family's for, cuz!" said Danny affectionately, only realizing just now how much he had missed seeing her. "So, uh, now what? Heading off?"
"Yup!" said Danielle without missing a beat. "Now that this Phantom is fixed—" She pointed both thumbs at her chest. "—she's got places to go."
Danny hid his disappointment, keeping a smile on his face. "Well, just be safe, okay?"
"Aw, Danny, nothing can hurt me now!" Danielle flew toward him and kissed his cheek, then she backed away, her entire expression changing to something more melancholy. "Promise me you'll be safe too, okay?"
Danny creased his brow. "Is something wrong?"
"It's just… I was so worried you were dead," she whispered, silver lashes lowering over her glowing green eyes.
"Dead? Me? Why would you think I was dead?" Danny glanced at Valerie. "Did you think Valerie killed me when she captured me?"
"No, I knew you'd never let Valerie kill you," said Danielle. "Not before you could rescue me, anyway. I knew you'd figure out some way to come get me."
"Then what made you worried I was dead?"
"Because…right before I came here and met Valerie, I saw your body. You were dead."
Danny's mouth fell open as he straightened and leaned away from her. Valerie folded her arms.
"Or I thought I saw you," said Danielle. "There were several dead bodies, all of them you. And then I didn't know what to think." She started panting, clutching at the front of her suit. "And they were all sticky and melty and some didn't even have eyes and some were just skeletons and—"
Danielle covered her eyes with her hands and started bawling. Danny stared at her, trying to make sense of what she was telling him.
"And they all had different numbers tattooed on their arms." She hiccuped and sniffled. "The ones that still had skin, anyway."
A memory flashed through Danny's head: his dark ultimate enemy unzipping his suit and lowering his sleeve to reveal a stark white 26 on his upper arm.
A deep chill rushed through Danny's veins.
"Phantom?" said Valerie, her voice uneasy.
"Danielle." Danny placed his hands on Danielle's shoulders. "Danielle, I need you to show me where you saw this."
Danielle's breath caught several times as she tried to speak. "No—I can't—I can't see them again—please don't make me go back—"
She broke into more sobs. Danny shook her shoulders, his own eyes misting.
"You have to," he pleaded. "Danielle, you have to show me. Right now."
Danielle's sobs quieted as she rubbed her ecto-shot eyes, already puffy around the edges.
"Danielle, please," said Danny. "This is very important."
Danielle wiped her nose with her sleeve. "I can't, Danny. I really can't show you."
Danny sighed, hanging his head, his fingers curling as he continued to hold onto her shoulders.
"But I can tell you," she whispered.
Danny lifted his head, his gut knotting as he stared into Danielle's swollen eyes.
"It's on Vlad's property," said Danielle. "I was checking out all of his different places, scouting so he couldn't surprise me. I can tell you where to go."
"Vlad," murmured Valerie. She then gasped. "Mr. Masters! I forgot about him! I hope he's okay." She zoomed off on her hoverboard back toward Vlad's mansion, leaving Danny and Danielle alone.
Danny watched Valerie disappear before turning back to Danielle. "Yes, please," he said frantically. "Tell me where to go."
Danielle swiped one sleeve over her wet eyes and nodded. Danny didn't let go of her. He couldn't. Not yet.
He had never been so certain in his life that something terrible was about to be revealed.

Kinktober Day 20
WELCOME BACK TO KINKTOBER. This event killed me for a whole year and I'M BACK. The prompt list is made by @xxsycamore
If you want to read 2021's Kinktober the masterlist is on my pinned post.
Happy reading sluts. And remember to reblog
20: First times  |  Inexperienced characters
Now he knows why you're shy. You're clingy and touchy at every time of day until you two go to bed. You tease him and make jokes, but nothing ever comes of it.
So as you're laying in bed Vlad tries to make a move on you, sticking a hand past the waistband of your pants. You quickly break the kiss an push yourself back.
"W-wait!"
He moves his hand away and looks at you confused. "What is it? Is something wrong?" he's trying to think of anything wrong he did.
It's time for you to confess. "Well. I...um. I've never actually had...sex."
That caught Vlad off guard. With the way you act at time he wouldn't have guessed. But that could explain why you two haven't had sex yet.
His face softened. "Well I would love to be your first if you would let me."
Your face gets warm. "You mean. You and me? Have sex?" you started to get nervous. You were always told to save your first time for someone special. Wait til marriage. Wait until you know he is the one.
He chuckles. "Yes I mean you and me. I'll be gentle with you, and I won't do anything you don't want me to. Or I can start with my hands and work our way up."
You get quiet. A million thoughts going through your head at once. Arguing with yourself on what you should do. Is he the one? Is he your special someone? You love him sure. But he's also a vampire!
"Why don't we start with hands. Please?"
"If that's what you want. You just need to lay there and look pretty for me, okay?"
He gets closer again as you nod your head. His hand goes down your pants again.
"Just let me know if you want me to stop."
Two fingers push against you, before rubbing in circles. You're wet. Better yet, you're soaked.
It felt good but not exactly what you imagined. Until he slid his fingers inside you. Knuckle deep.
You let out a gasp and squeezed your legs together. That feels even better. Vlad chuckles at your reaction and since you aren't trying to push him away, he curls his fingers as he pulls them out.
He kept his word and kept his movements slow. The look on your face was priceless. Your hands gripped and twisted the sheets as he added a third finger.
Your moans were like sweet music. He's never heard these sounds from you. You've never heard these sounds from you before.
His fingers thrust in and out of you faster now. Your face is so very red and you're already trying to catch your breath.
"Look at you," he smirks.
"Vlad.. I think I want you."
"You think? I'd much rather you be sure," his hand moved slower to let you take your time to think.
"No. I want you. I know I do. Please," you barely know what you're asking for, but you're begging. You want more than just his fingers inside you. You want to know what it feels like. Who cares about the waiting. Right now he's your special someone.
"In that case," he takes his fingers out of you and takes his own shirt and pants off.
You couldn't help but stare. Your eyes started at his chest, then down...and down...and down. Until you saw his cock.
Is that a normal size...or is he big? You don't know, but you know that you want him in you.
Vlad grabs the waistband of your pants and pulls them down to your ankles in one swift movement. You want to cover yourself, but you have nothing to do it with.
"You're so beautiful," he spreads your legs, getting between them as he lifts your shirt above his breasts. He moans softly when seeing them. "Are you ready? I'll go easy."
You nod your head. "I'm ready," you try to relax your body.
He smirks down at you and slowly enters you. He goes in half way to let you get adjusted to the feeling.
As soon as his tip got inside you, you made a loud moan and quickly covered your mouth.
"No. No." He removes your hand from your mouth. "I want to hear every noise you make. Don't feel embarrassed."
Vlads movements start out slow and gentle. Making sure not to enter you fully. He hovers over you and carcasses your face with one of his hands and gives you a kiss on the lips. "You're taking me so well."
This feels wonderful. You never imagined sex would feel like this. Your mind is completely blank, just focusing on what's going on with your body.
You wrap your arms around him and kiss him as your hips start to rock in sync with his. With his next thrust he enters you fully and your nails dig into his back, but you don't break the kiss.
He's starting to get needy, but he wants to keep his word and make sure you're comfortable. He's ecstatic that he is your first.
Your trying to keep your body relaxed but something starts to feel different. You aren't sure what it is. Wait. Is this your climax?
Your moans get louder and you feel a burst of ecstasy. Vlad can tell what happened from you tightening around him.
He stops completely and looks down at you as you pant.
"It seems like you liked that."
"I...I want to do it again."

"Eclipse" is the second installment of my Dannymay 2023 angst-fest.
Summary: Jack Fenton loves his son, and is proud of all that he has accomplished as Phantom. Too bad that Maddie wasn't in on the secret. After a surprise encounter, Jack rushes his gravely wounded child to the only person who might possibly be able to help...Vlad Masters. Even the experienced hands of Danny's once-rival cannot change what is meant to be. Enter Clockwork.
Story teaser below cut:
THE BEGINNING: Darkness falls
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Hey, Mads, why don’t you take a break and maybe go order us some takeout for supper? I’m getting mighty hungry!” Jack Fenton was full of smiles and good cheer, as always.
Madeline Fenton, however, was tired and irritated. She had been trying to perfect her newest weapon for the GIW—it was designed to completely scramble the ectoplasm in a ghost and make its base form destabilize. In theory. They hadn’t caught a ghost in over a month, due in no small part to Phantom’s intervention.
Jack quietly watched his wife’s face as she shrugged off his request. He had been doing his damnedest to sabotage her plans by altering design specs and making sure that every component piece that crossed his hands was damaged in one way or another. He really didn’t understand why she would willingly give those GIW bastards better equipment to hunt their son with. Oh well, he thought. I’ll just have to “accidentally” break this one too. Tucker would alter the computer files, like he always did. Jack smiled at the thought of his son’s best friend.
They made a good team. The kids doing their thing to protect the town, while Jack pretended to be blissfully unaware of what was going on. The kids all knew that he knew, though. After all, it was Jack who modified most of the weapons to not harm Danny, and it was Jack who made sure that they always had supplies on hand. The biggest part Jack played in Team Phantom, though, was that of the distraction. He always went overboard with his “ghost!” tirades and unwavering dedication to chasing the spooks all over the town.
His faked ineptitude worked wonders. Almost no one took their work seriously anymore, and the ones that did found that everything they got from Fentonworks turned out to be useless. The only thing that bugged him was Maddie.
He didn’t understand her place in the game. Everyone else had their part to play in protecting Danny and keeping the town safe. He knew that the love of his life cared about her children. Perhaps that was why she continued her involvement with the GIW. Maybe she was trying to gain their trust so that she would be in the right position to save Danny if those goons ever got their hands on him.
Danny’s secret was, of course, unspoken between them. The backup surveillance tapes from the day the portal had turned on showed exactly what had happened to their son. Just thinking about that day still brought tears to his eyes. His feelings of shame stayed with him, despite Danny’s forgiveness. He assumed that Maddie felt the same, and he didn’t want to bring up such a painful reminder of the reason behind their son’s half-life.
So, the pair continued their research—Jack’s true research, helped along greatly by Danny and his friends, and Maddie’s “public” research that kept the family from being taken seriously. Some of the stuff that woman’s mind cooked up! Jack laughed to himself. If he didn’t know any better, he would have sworn she believed that garbage herself. He shook his head. Oh, how he loved that woman!
Jack’s assumptions about his wife were the reason he was so shocked at her reaction to Danny coming into the lab in Phantom form. If Jack had been alone, there would be some banter, some laughter, and the father would help Danny patch up any wounds he had gotten. Then, the two would send the pesky spooks back though the portal to the Ghost Zone, where they belonged.
The thing was, Danny had always checked to see if Jack was alone before he visited the lab. On that night, for reasons no one will ever really know, Danny just forgot to check. He floated into the lab through the top wall, just like he always did after patrol, and Maddie saw him. She flew into a rage, and Jack watched on in horror as she picked up the prototype weapon she was making and fired it at their son! The sound! Oh, by the Ancients! The sound Danny made when the weapon hit him was worse than anything Jack had ever heard. When the wail had finally stopped, Danny had fled through the walls and into the night air.
Jack didn’t waste any time on his wife’s insanity. He ran from the lab and into the dark, tracking his son by the trail of murky ectoplasm marking his path. He finally caught up with Danny near the park. When he saw his son, he knew it was bad. Danny was glitching—parts of his body showed his human half, while others were still in his ghost form. He was bleeding profusely from his abdomen—the shot had nearly gone straight through him. Danny had tried to smile for Jack, but he was in too much pain.
Jack didn’t know what else to do, so he gently picked up his gravely injured child and ran as fast as he could to Vlad’s house. He knew that Vlad hated him—and why, but he hoped that his oldest friend would have enough compassion for Danny to help him. He was Danny’s only chance. By the time he arrived at the front door of Vlad’s mansion, Jack was covered in Danny’s blood and ectoplasm. He knew he looked like a creature out of a horror film, but he didn’t care. He just wanted his son to be alright. He kicked at the door to get Vlad’s attention.
Half a minute later, a very irate Mr. Masters threw open the front door. “Why can’t you people just leave me…” Vlad’s words froze in his throat. Despite all of his threats and manipulations, the oldest halfa did honestly care for Danny. The last thing he ever expected to see what a distraught Jack holding his direly wounded son, dripping blood and ectoplasm on his doorstep.
A few seconds passed in silence, then Vlad shook his head. “Bring him in and follow me.” He turned and walked deeper into the house without waiting for a response.
A DC X DP IDEA #13 Mirror
Imagine dis…
It is always Danny being sent to the DC dimension to be loved or it is because "Everything's the way it's supposed to be." As Clockwork quoted. But what if we reverse the roles
The Batfam was transported to the Phantom Universe.
It was a normal nightly patrol for the Bats namely Batman, Nightwing, Red Robin, and Robin. Until it wasn’t, the very reason why Batman hated unknown meta in his territory things could go off the rail just by a wild factor.
They were rounding up the goons when they encountered from the body language, a new goon he was shaking and was very afraid at the fact that the entire Bat clan had just surrounded him just because he was the last person who had been hiding behind a dumpster.
Maybe it was because of fear when he suddenly threw his hand in their direction and then suddenly a bright light blinded momentarily the entire Bat Clan.
They didn’t expect to wake up in a middle of a forest in the middle of nowhere. They tried contacting Oracle but they could not even receive a signal which should have been a telling sign seeing that signals on their devices should have reached them in any part of the world to outer space.
Nor they didn’t expect a can rolling towards them and quickly releasing some green smoke, they could not even react quickly enough as they inhaled some of the smoke and immediately passed out with only the color ginger and black as the last things they saw before passing out.
Waking up disorientated as well as remembering the last thing that had just happened immediately sprung Batman awake, looking around he concluded that he is in some sort of a laboratory if any of those weird gadgets mounted on the wall mean anything. He felt that his cowl is still in place as well as his son’s sons in Jason’s case his helmet seeing that their identities were still not compromised.
Trying to move as well as futile, seeing that he has his hands, feet, legs, chest, and torso bound tightly in some metal. Looking sideways he could also see his other children tied alongside him, he also noticed a table has all of their weapons ranging from Jason’s guns, Nightwing’s batons, Red Robin’s bo staff as well Damian’s katana. Alongside his utility belt as well as countless amount of battarangs and other gadgets leaving them pretty defenses.
Slowly each of Batman’s sons woke up either groaning awake, each trying to remove the bindings that surround their entire body aside from their face. Suddenly they heard the door in front of them open up, the stranger looked at them with a hint of surprise that quickly disappeared seeing that they were awake, as he walked in, they are quite surprised at the large stature of the stranger. Wearing a black t-shirt as well black pants, black hair that is tied in a low ponytail with a goatee, blue eyes that is accompanied by light-dark eyebags below as well a light goatee.
Smirking at them as if he had them where he had wanted them while carrying a double-bladed beam sword that glows eerily Lazarus green.
Danny Fenton is living his life, his parents had accepted him as Phantom, and Dan is deemed behaved enough to join them in the living, Dani stayed with them as a part of the family seeing that his parents produced adoption papers seemingly out of nowhere the moment Danny explained Dani’s existence to them. Vlad turned into a new leaf now trying to spoil each child including Jasmine despite herself in college, forging documents for both Dan and Dani so that they have proper identity and identification in the living world. His former rouge gallery as well as the people of Amity has now a treaty as his rogues can now come and go through neither portal to the living world to fulfill their obsessions as long, they don’t commit collateral damage as well hypnotizing and harming the living.  Driving the GIW agents out of their town as well as removing the stupid law about the ghosts after seeing that Phantom had saved Earth from a giant meteor that according to scientists could wipe out the entire human civilization.
Becoming King of the Infinite Realms was something he didn’t plan, his parents marched towards the chambers of the Observants to tell them off and that they have to wait till Danny finishes his human life before starting to be a ghost, King.
Now Danny sports a pair of heavy eyebags under his eyes seeing that he is slowly fixing the Realms due to the damage as well the negligence of the Pariah Dark.  He feels that every time he completes a stack of paperwork ten more appeared in the never-ending stack of paperwork.
Moving to Vlad’s mansion to accommodate the large family as well to provide accompany to Vlad seeing that he needed some sort of human interaction as his cat doesn’t count enough interaction to be considered healthy, despite the Fenton couple's eccentric behavior but for a moment Danny saw the college versions of Maddie, Jack and Vlad where times were simple and they were happy and content.
It has been a few months since they moved in with Vlad their family dynamic is best describe as chaotic.
Dan teases Danny that he is a replacement because he replaced his old, original, and entire timeline to replace Danny’s which Danny just flipped him off. Dani being the gremlin child she is, sees that she had traveled the entire world as well as learned different fighting styles to either a. help Danny or b. put her entire family on edge seeing that sometimes she would throw a dagger towards one of them when she got annoyed. Jazz the ever-peaceful one tries to defuse and fight between the three but the moment she joins in the three immediately quiet down and stop her from committing a felony or two. Danny who became an insomniac just to keep up with the demand of paperwork, refuses to let the pile grow and greet him the moment he steps into his afterlife. Vlad became the targeted uncle and despite him turning into a new leaf he still has that fixation and obsession with Danny to turn him into his heir.
A few hours before the Bat-family appears in the Phantom verse
It was yet another daily day of fighting while the supposed adults are watching the three children fighting and wrestling on the ground with a bucket of popcorn at hand while the eldest daughter looks like she is done with whatever craziness her siblings put her in. The matriarch of the Fenton family put her foot down and dragged each of them for a short family trip, since the surrounding environment is just a lush’s grove of trees a quick walk around the forest could clear each other’s minds.
As they were walking at the trail that only the locals of Amity Park can decipher, Jazz kept looking at her brother’s hand, a large cup of pure black coffee that contains a past the legal amount of espresso shots that was mixed with red bull cannot be healthy whether it is human biology or ghost biology.
As Dan was about to tease Dani about her shortness when they suddenly saw a bright light in the direction of the deeper part of the forest. Quickly and quietly the two eldest hides amongst the foliage while the adults stayed back to protect the younger ones, much to the protests of the said kids.
Using Dan’s ability to stay intangible as well as his invisibility both saw the supposed source of the bright light or cause are unconscious, a man dressed in a bat fur suit, not that they were judging. Four more were dressed in some sort of spandex or costume seeing each of them have something different on.
As they slowly woke up Dan has already told Jazz that there was something weird and unnatural about the people in front of them. Jazz asked if his ghost sense is telling him something, Dan agreed that his sense is telling him something but the fact it wasn’t about ghosts made him on the edge, especially to the man who wore a bright red helmet.
Both of them are willing to ignore and even help the strangers but the moment they set off Dan’s senses, now they can’t let them go. Throwing a can packed with sleeping gas can knock both humans and ghosts effectively. After releasing the said gas both Jazz and Dan slowly crept up to make sure that their unexpected guests are fully unconscious before telling the rest of them what they have just discovered.
Stripping down their weapons as well as locking them up using the metal that is powered by ectoplasm making it hard for both humans and ghosts alike to escape.
Danny began researching the guests they have while the rest tried to watch over them as the Fenton couple as well Vlad arm themselves including the house in case they would try to escape as well to harm them.
Dan came through the doors when he saw the furry brigade now wide awake, now it is quite surprising seeing that they were supposed to be knocked out by a few more hours but shrugging off seeing that people tend to have immunity to certain drugs if administered frequently.
As Dan is sitting in a corner watching the chattering between their prisoners, he can’t help but notice a faint feeling of recognition in each of them. Especially on the man who wore a leather jacket as well the big red helmet.
Dani suddenly entered the premise making Dan release a high eyebrow at her as of telling Dani why on earth she was there. Dani didn’t acknowledge Dan’s invisible question and began skipping to the bound guests and began threatening the largest one (Batman) that if he ever dares to move with the intent to harm, she will not hesitate to swing the Fenton creep stick at him. Of course, that set off a reaction from the youngest one (Damian) which resulted in Maddie sticking her head in and beginning to bite back a threat on Do not talk to my daughter that way, the dominos effect as each member from both sides butted in to defend and verbally fight whoever threatened their loved one. Now each Fenton member has a Bat clan member that they were focused on as they try to outwit the other.
Danny enters the scene with a fresh new cup of coffee in his hand watching the scene with an amused huff and letting out one of the Fenton alarms that created the loudest and most annoying sound there is. Now each individual quieted down and looked at Danny questioningly, Danny mentioned that he wasn’t paid enough to meditate a verbal match between the two and told Dan that he can release them and turned his head to the bounded Bats and told them to cooperate.
Red Hood didn’t like the new guy's attitude and barked out why they would need to cooperate with the people that held them.
Danny blinked slowly and as it, he just come to a realization and told them what he just found out to his audience.
The bound Bats came to their dimension that contains a far different version of their alternatives selves. Danny is willing to get a DNA test between the two sides but he is pretty sure that the one who wore the red cowl on his head between Red Hood and Robin is his alternative self. He also said that each should take a closer look at each other to find which self is their alternative self.
Batman looked intently at Jack and saw that Jack may be broader than him but didn’t deter the fact that he looked almost like him without his cowl. Nightwing asked why on earth his alternate self is a woman which Jazz took offense and Red Hood snarked that maybe it is the world’s way to play his karma seeing that Dick kept dating redheads. Red Robin looked longingly at the coffee at his alternate’s other self and nodded at his lifestyle of having coffee as the only thing that makes him live. Damian is still skeptical at the supposed newcomer’s answer but one look at his supposed other self is sufficient enough to be his alternate self.
As they were releasing the Bats Vlad came through the door and asked Dan if he wanted some lemon juice while he guards.
Now take note they are still wary of their supposed alternate selves but when they saw Ra, they think a version of him, wearing a pink apron that says “Hey BOO” that has a mini-ghosts designs all over the apron. Never in their entire life they will see Ra wear something so mundane and act warm and homey to their alternate selves.
….
Now it seems each Fenton forgot to tell them the reason why they not only have mountains of weapons in arms but also the fact that they have an abundance of ectoplasm that resembles Lazarus' water.
Cue Misunderstandings and Shenanigans
Danny, Sam, and Tucker were on video chat. It was morning in Paris, and it was night in Amity Park.
"So you were Akumatized, Sam?" Tucker asked her.
"Yeah, I was so angry about the mayor of Paris tearing up my petition about stopping Project Oxygen," Sam explained.
"Project Oxygen?" Tucker questioned.
"It was about cutting down the trees in the park to make a building that will sell air in plastic bottles," Sam explained.
"Wow, and I thought Vlad was crazy," Tucker said.
"I know, right, and then I got Akumatized by Hawkmoth saying that he would help me to save the trees," Sam finished explaining what happened today.
"Wow, Sam, this second time that you were mind controlled by a villain," Tucker said.
"I wasn't really mind controlled, Tucker. He gave me power and used that power to get my revenge on that stubborn mayor for ripping my petition for trying to stop him from cutting down trees," Sam explained to Tucker.
"So you did the same thing I did when you gained power," Tucker teased.
Sam gave the techno-geek a glare which caused Tucker to back away from his computer.
Anyway, Sam, I'm going to ask Marinette to be my girlfriend," Danny said with a love-sick look on her face.
"What?!" Sam said, being upset about what Danny said.
"Yeah, she cute, funny, smart, and I think she and I have a connection, Danny said with a blush.
"But Danny, I think a long-distance relationship would be too difficult. It would be nighttime in Paris when it's morning in Amity Park if you tried to talk to her on chat. You wouldn't be able to see her for a long time and..." before Sam could continue, Danny interrupted her.
"Sam, I'll make it work because I like her, and I have to try anyway," Danny said.
"What if she doesn't return your feeling Danny?" Sam asked him, which made him think for a second.
"If Marinette doesn't return my feeling, then she doesn't feel the same way I do. So then I'll be her friend if she doesn't return my feelings.," Danny answered her.
Sam was slightly annoyed that Danny wouldn't let this go of asking Marinette to be his girlfriend, but she was hoping she would say no to him.
"So Sam, how is Paris?' Tucker asked, trying to change the subject.
"It's fine," Sam said. "Besides being Akumatized, most people are pretty nice compared to back home," Sam answered.
"I'm glad you're enjoying yourself, Sam," Danny said.
"Well, I got to go to class. See you guys in two weeks," Sam said sadly.
Sam logged off the chat while Danny and Tucker did the same.
Danny went to bed thinking about Marinette and what he would say to her when he asked her to be his girlfriend.
Next day
Danny and Marinette were eating lunch together. Tucker decided to give Danny alone time with Marinette.
"Uh, Marinette? I want to ask you something very important," Danny said nervously.
"Yes, Danny, what is it?" Marinette asked him.
"I wanted to ask you, I mean you, uh, I mean..." Danny tries to get words out of his mouth.
"What you want to ask me, Danny?" Marinette asked him.
Before Danny could tell her how he felt for her, a giant piece of meat smashes into the back of his head.
Danny turned to where they threw the mashed potato at him, and it was the jock of Casper High being their obnoxious selves.
"Nice shot Kwan," Dash high-fives his fellow jock.
Danny glared slightly at the jock before Marinette went over to the jocks.
"Why do you keep bulling Danny like that, Dash?" Marinette asked the bully.
"Because Fentonowski is nothing but a wimp and an easy target," the football player answered.
Marinette glared at the football player for bullying people who seemed weaker than him.
"What are you going to do, French girl," Dash asked.
"She can't, but I can," a voice said.
It was Valarie who gave a glare to the two bullies. Dash looked at the former A-lister and felt a little nervous.
"A-and what are you going to do about it, Valarie," he asked her.
Valaire gave a stern glare, making the A-listers back off and return to their table.
"Your lucky I don't hit girls. Your lucky Fentonio," Dash said.
"Wow, thank you for helping me out," Marinette said to the dark-skinned girl.
Danny went over to Valarie and smiled at her. "Thanks, Val," he thanked.
"No problem Danny. We need to find a way for those guys and the other A-listers to bully other kids, Valarie said as she turned to Marinette.
"So you must be Marinette, that I heard. My name is Valarie Grey," Valarie introduced herself.
"It's nice to meet you," Marinette greeted.
The two shook hands and smiled at each other.
"So Danny, are you going to the dance today? she asked.
"Yeah, and Marinette said yes to be my date," Danny told her.
"Wow, congrats, Marinette! Danny is a really good guy," Valarie gave a wink to Marinette, which made the France girl blush a bit.
"Yeah, Danny is a really good guy," Marinette said with a smile.
The three kept talking until the warning bell rang, and they headed to their next class.
Unfortunately, Danny's ghost sense went off, and Danny had to leave Marinette to deal with the ghost causing trouble.
Marinette was wondering where Danny was going, but she had to get to class before the next bell rang.
After dealing with the Box Ghost for the millionth time, Danny made it on time for his next class.
Later that evening
Danny went to the flower shop to get Marinette some flowers to give her before going to the dance. He also went to the cleaners to get the suit he wore last time .
"Alright, Fenton, it's now or never," he gulped.
Danny soon arrived at Marinette's room, his heart beating and his hands shaking slightly.
"Calm down, Fenton. This isn't the first time you took a girl to the dance...and this one won't turn into a fire-breathing dragon if she gets mad...hopefully..." He thought, trying to ease himself.
This was easier said than done. While he had known Marinette for a while, he liked her...a lot.
And for an awkward high school boy, that can be pretty intimidating...even for one who fights ghosts daily.
"Alright, here we go ..." He thought as he knocked on her door.
Soon, Marinette stepped out, wearing a stylish red dress, and Danny's face heated up.
"Wow..." He said before snapping out of it. "You look amazing..." He said, meaning it.
"Thank you..." Marinette said, appreciating the compliment.
Danny soon handed her a flower, which the dark-haired girl appreciated. Then, they soon left for the dance. All the while, Danny couldn't help but blush at the beautiful French girl.
"I hope I can tell her how I feel for her..." So he thought, his heart still racing around her.
Later
They were at the dance, and after the music was, the two superheroic teens decided to step out and enjoy some fresh air.
"Well, that was fun, Danny..." Marinette said, having enjoyed that.
Danny just stared at her, feeling butterflies in his tummy.
"Come on, Fenton, we're alone...and she seems happy...this is your best chance..." So he thought, taking a deep breath and readying himself.
"Marinette..." Danny started.
"Yeah?..." She asked.
Danny blushed and gulped, steeling himself.
"There is something I have wanted to tell you...for a while now..." He said.
"What is it, Danny?..." She asked.
Danny was about to confess his feelings, only for his ghost sense to go off.
"No, of all times, why now?!..." He thought, upset.
They soon saw two missiles heading their way.
"Look out..." Danny said as he moved them both out of the way, managing to avoid them by a hair.
"What the..." Marinette yelled.
Danny looked up and glared when he saw who sent those missiles.
"Skulker..."
Danny and Marinette avoided Skulker's missiles; Marinette wondered why this metalhead ghost was attacking them.
"Danny, who is this?" Marinette asked Danny.
"That's Skulker, one of Danny Phantom's enemies," Danny answered her.
"What is he doing here?" Marinette asked.
"I don't know, but I'll protect you from that metal head, Marinette," Danny told her.
Skulker continued firing missiles which Danny kept on avoiding while holding Marinette's hand.
Danny and Marinette got away from Skulker and hid in an outside locker for some reason.
"Danny, do you think hiding here is a good idea?" Martinette asked the ghost boy.
"I don't know, but I'll go check and see. You stay here," Danny told her.
"But it's too dangerous out there, Danny! You might get hurt or something.
"But it's too dangerous out there, Danny! You might get hurt or something—"
A blast from a middle forced the two into separation as Skulker flew by. He circled the area for a while as Danny turned invisible and ran.
Marinette, on the other hand…
"Danny?" Marinette looked around, not seeing anything but flames from their cover. She glared at Skulker, who had his sights aimed at her.
"If it makes you feel better, your pelt will adorn next to the whelp," Skulker quipped as he readied to fire another missile. But Danny Phantom came in and rammed Gina way before anything.
"So, the whelp comes out to be skinned." The hunter grinned.
Danny did not reply, wanting to end things quickly, but he knew Skulker wouldn't let him.
Marinette eyed the battle from the ground, tightening her fists as she watched.
"Danny Phantom isn't the only one you should worry about," she said, running for shelter in the girl's bathroom.
"Tiki spots on!"
Danny avoided a blast from the ghost hunter, a yo-yo wrapped around the blaster and then ripped it off. The ghost hunter looked back and saw no one at first.
"Who dares to interrupt my hunt?" Skulker asked angrily.
That's when a certain French superhero stepped out of hiding.
"I dare, metal head." Ladybug said, twirling her yo-yo.
"Oh, you must be that French superhero I heard about." The ghost hunter said.
"So, Ladybug, what brings you here?" Danny asked.
"Oh, you know, seeing the sights and all. I saw you and decided to help. You help me with the Akuma, so I wanted to help you with this metal head; I hope that's okay," Ladybug answered the ghost boy.
Danny gave the ladybug theme superhero a grin. He was happy to have help from another superhero.
"Of course."
Skulker looked at the two superheroes, wondering if the two knew each other from somewhere. But, before Skulker could ask them, he was swatted away from them by Ladybug's Yo-yo.
"Don't butt in!" Ladybug went.
"Wow, that was so cool, Ladybug," Danny said with a blush.
Skulker jetted through the air, aiming rockets at the ghost boy. With his hand on the trigger, he was moments away from launching.
"Since two prey is one too many, I'll have to turn the odds in my favor," Skulker said, his thumb on the button.
But before he could fire, Ladybug's red and black yo-yo wrapped around him, halting him midair. The hunter growled, looking over his shoulder to see he was tied to a street lamp.
"Sorry, but your flight's been canceled," Ladybug quipped.
"I hope you've enjoyed your flight with Air Phantom. As you exit the craft, please note that Ladybug airport does not have any peanuts as we've kicked your butt too hard," Danny said.
"Pretty impressive, Phantom. You may be as quippy as Chat Noir," Ladybug said to the ghost boy.
Danny blushed at the compliment. He pulled out a Fenton Thermos and sucked the robotic ghost hunter into it.
"That reminds me of how I catch akumas," Ladybug told Danny.
"The only difference is that you can repair everything with those magical ladybugs," Danny mentions.
Ladybug rubbed the back of her head and did her lucky charm, a wrench. Wondering what she would do with this, she was about to do her Miraculous Ladybug until she was zapped by something invisible.
The zap was strong enough to knock Ladybug out of her costume. Danny looked around for the attacker before being zapped too and transformed into Danny Fenton.
The person who knocked them out was Vlad Plasmius, who grinned evilly.
Notes: Based on this au by @wheatsheep on expect I play more hurt the Danno for now. Perhaps. I've seen to have dug myself into a long-fic hole, so it's not going to be hurt the boy the entire time.
@ectoberhaunt
Danny knew he had awful luck; it was a proven fact. After the whole “Disater-oid” incident, keeping with the media trend of terrible names, he thought he might finally catch a break. Sure, his identity was out to the entire planet, and his face plastered all over every news outlet internationally, but they’d give him a break, right? Vlad wasn’t… around anymore, and the ghosts were actually leaving him alone to recuperate in their own way. He’d managed to save an entire planet, he needed to rest after pulling that off. He felt he deserved that much, at least. It’s not like they were building statues in his honor or anything. Sure, his parents were avoiding him (Jazz said they needed time to adjust), and no one on the news seemed to know how to react to the fact that ghosts were real, one had saved the earth, and said ghost was also a 15-year-old boy from Illinois.
But then there were news reporters seconds away from breaking into his house, and Danny actually had to stop one from trying to climb through his window. Sometimes he’d let one ask him a question from his window, or floating above them as Phantom, just to offer a few crumbs before they started making stuff up about him just to get something out there. He didn’t want another Inviso-Bill situation, especially internationally, and he had at least learned it was better to have a hand in the narrative than let it run wild without him. So no, he wasn’t getting much rest.
Sam and Tucker were also in their own form of social lockdown, which both of them took far more advantage of than he did. Tucker used it to score brownie points, and also got to talk to some big names in tech. Sam used the publicity to push her various causes and had developed an internet cult following overnight. Valerie took to it worse than he did, especially since she had developed a tendency to growl at the reporters if they tried to bother her at work, and nearly broke some tech-guy’s hand when he pushed too hard about her suit, leaving him little time to talk with them himself. The Nasty Burger was doing surprisingly well the past few days at least.
His parents decided to approach him sometime on day three. In short, it was awkward and uncomfortable, and Danny was infinitely thankful for Jazz’s ability to play interference. Danny had ended up spending most of that night trying to explain to his very confused parents that he really wasn’t possessed, hadn’t taken place of their son, did not have any evil influence affecting his every waking moment due to being a ghost, he had actually wanted to do the things he did (mostly), and clearing up any other miscellaneous misconceptions that came up. Jazz was probably the only reason it didn’t devolve into shouting or Danny getting jumped by his own parents and dragged into the lab. He just hoped some of it stuck with them, so he wouldn’t have to explain it again. The hardest part was when his parents asked if he had really died. That of course wasn’t something he really wanted to go over, but he told them all he could about the day in the lab. It seemed to pain them as much as it did him to go over it.
By day four, Danny was sure he could actually start to catch a break. His parents were talking to him (mostly ghost questions), and the news reporters had all miraculously disappeared sometimes late the night before. But he also hadn’t heard much from any of his friends either, just a partially concerned call from Mr. Lancer who wanted to talk to him about accommodations and making up schoolwork over the summer, tacked on to a ‘thank you for saving the world’ and an offer to talk whenever he needed it. Which was nice, but Danny wasn’t so sure Mr. Lancer was equipped to handle even half of his problems, even if he did appreciate the gesture.
Then, that afternoon, it all went to shit. The GIW rolled up to his house and demanded his parents hand him over to their custody. They cited the Anti-Ecto Acts and everything, and suddenly the lack of reporters made sense. The news reported had been chased off by the government. They didn’t want the public to know that they were going after his head. His parents confronted them, while Danny watched from the window. The answer was a resounding ‘no,’ and the GIW didn’t take it well.
Danny, Tucker, Sam, and Jazz had planned if things ever went south, but most of that plan depended on all of them being available. None of them except Jazz now were, but he had to make do. So, he took off, without the money from Sam or way to get in contact from Tucker. Jazz provided the cover and distraction for him to sneak through the perimeter the GIW had set up around his house. It was a close thing, and Danny had to stay human to keep him from pinging on their equipment, along with limited power use. It didn’t help that he was still exhausted, but he had no choice. He had to leave.
And so, Danny fled, and kept running. The entire world knew his face, so he couldn’t find any reprieve either. The GIW’s newest slander campaign was doing its damnest to make him a villain, and while that wasn’t very successful, everyone knew he was on the run. The news fought back, and there had been a reporter near his house anyways and had managed to catch part of the confrontation. He became more intensely nocturnal to avoid people, sleeping in empty hotel rooms during the day, and sneaking around at night. He stole food he needed during the night as well, but only from places he knew wouldn’t miss it. He could get into libraries and cafés to send out an email to Sam, Tucker and Jazz, but those messages were few and far between, and he was never able to get a message back.
The GIW were always on his tail, in some sort of twisted game of cat and mouse. They followed him all across the country, from the big cities to the boonies. Anytime he transformed, he knew he set off their alarms, and his only hope was leave faster than they could get to him. He couldn’t not transform either, he was still recognizable, and someone ended up tipping them off after a time anyway. He didn’t dare return to Amity or anywhere near there. It was too dangerous to both him and those he cared about. It was better to be constantly on the move.
Danny did get his few moments of rest. There was a nice couple in New York who hid him for a while, though he only suspected they did it due to their lost nephew. He also found his way to Aunt Alicia in Spittoon and had managed to hole up there for a good couple month. The people there were protective of their own, and when the GIW came knocking, they fought tooth and nail to buy him time to escape. There were less GIW agents after that. Another small town in Oregon had the GIW chasing their own tail more often not, until some of the locals decided he was too suspicious and chased him out themselves.
Danny fled to Canada for a while, and honestly should’ve stayed there. But it was harder to survive on the move since he didn’t know how to get food in the middle of the Canadian wilderness, even if it was the best hiding spot he found. He would have to venture into a settlement of some kind eventually. He had considered going more abroad to hide, where the US government couldn’t both him, but he didn’t think he could make it over the ocean on his own and didn’t feel like hiding in a place so close to people such as a plane or a boat for an extended period of time longer than an hour. It was too risky.
As for the ghosts, Danny would find one every now and again. He didn’t fight them, and they didn’t try to start anything with him. These encounters were brief, mostly to exchange news since the ghosts didn’t want to associate with him either. Danny never really did check the news himself anyway. His mental state was fragile enough without hearing the GIW blasting ads about what an awful being he was.
It was… lonely, especially once Danny found the rhythm to moving around and his days shifted from intensely stressful to more monotonous. He was too recognizable to be anonymous, and with the GIW chasing after him, no one wanted to get caught in the cross-fire, no matter who he was and what he had done. It had been years since he had seen his friends, only sending the occasional email when he could, and even then, those had become less detail oriented, more like personal journal entries. He wondered if there was anyone other than the GIW still looking for him. It had started to feel like his only hope was to just keep moving until the GIW eventually gave up.
But by year five, it didn’t seem likely, and the GIW were getting closer to catching him every time Danny took a chance or didn’t get out soon enough. They’re weapons were getting better, while they agents themselves got more skilled. But Danny had gotten a lot stronger himself, now that he was an adult. His powers were off the charts, at least he thought so. He hadn’t checked in so long, he no longer had a full bearing on what he was capable of. But he did get really good at hiding and using his powers while in human form. Danny was pretty sure he could completely hide his ectosignature if he needed to at this point.
Danny had just turned twenty-two when it all went further downhill. The slander campaign reached a peak, and now normal humans were gunning for his head, with the media finally backing off of his defense for some reason. He had been camping out in the woods for the day, sleeping far too high in a tree. Someone had spotted him, and the GIW swarmed that small town like nothing else he had even seen. They had new weapons. Ones that looked distinctly FentonWorks in design. They hurt, in more ways than one. Two agents found his tree and shot at him before he could fully wake up.
“Where did you get those?” Danny spat.
The agent snarled, “what? You didn’t think your parents would sell you out, freak? I was honestly surprised it took this long for them to crack, those failures of ectoscientists.”
“What did you do?” Danny hissed, his unused powers boiling under his skin, begging to bet let out.
The other agent laughed at him. “Got rid of those fools years ago! It only took us so long to get our hands on their tech because they tried damn hard to hide their more interesting inventions from us. They tried to protect you, even in death. How pathetic.”
Danny stopped running at that point. After seven years of it, he was tired, and decided in that moment, he had given up on waiting it out. No. His parents were gone, and he had no idea if his sister and friends were okay either. He halted in his tracks and snapped around, switching his tune completely. He was tired of being hunted; it was time to try to opposite to see if that worked instead. Those two agents never left the forest that day.
Cat and mouse became a different game. Danny would wage guerrilla warfare on the GIW, while they, in-turn, hunted him endlessly. Neither of them would relent, and neither would leave that small town as long as the other was there. So that small town in North Dakota became a battle ground. He should’ve felt bad about hurting the GIW, they were just human after all, but after all those years living in fear, Danny didn’t hesitate to strike down an agent. It was a ‘them or him’ situation. And they had killed his parents. It was a clear-cut decision from his perspective.
After so long without being on the offensive, Danny felt like the ectoblasts were burning through his hand, along with whatever he had managed to hit. They were much stronger than he remembered, and his ice came out more freely than it ever had before, but was that much more difficult to reign in. Between his lack of control and the GIW general indifference to collateral damage. That small town somewhere in North Dakota was nearly leveled in the process. He did feel bad about displacing the people that had lived there and hoped somewhere in the back of his head that they had all managed to get out safely.
But Danny could only keep up so long. There was one of him, and hundreds of them. They had managed to get more than a few lucky shots. Danny was littered with holes that burned, and it sapped his strength. But he ground his teeth and pushed through it. Then, it was no longer about survival; he wasn’t going to last much longer either way. He wasn’t going to get to finish growing up, or any of that. He knew what lied ahead of him. Danny was going to take those bastards with him on his way to hell.
Danny stood in the middle of the carnage, right out in the open. He let them fire first, but then unleashed carnage. His wail ripped from his throat, decimating what little infrastructure was left, full of grief and rage. He fired blasts after blast and encased the entire town in an early winter. He fought tooth and nail, hitting with as much strength as he could muster, tanking more hits than he blocked or dodged. He could almost see how Dan had taken comfort in the absolutely violence he wrought. But this was difference than mindless slaughter, he was more of a cornered animal than predator. He only stopped when the agents did, deep into the night. They didn’t come back with reinforcements in another wave, if they even had any left in this this horrible, small town in the middle of nowhere.
Danny collapsed, felt himself switch back, and bleed out in the middle of it all. At least he could see the stars, even if he would never reach.
   Danny awoke with a choked gasp, clutching the sheets and whipping his head around wildly, confusion fogging up his mind. His entire body ached and burned, and his grip on his powers was slippery at best.
Danny awoke in a bed, a familiar one, and that was the first thing he noticed that was wrong. He was in a room, his room, that he hadn’t seen in years. All of his models and posters perfectly in place, just as he remembered, even the ones that had suffered since he had gotten his powers. But his room didn’t have the small stains that at had built up on the carpet from when he would sit on the ground to patch himself up. His sheets were untouched by small burns from ectoblasts set off by nightmares. It was like nothing bad had ever happened, but Danny could feel his powers, dancing in an uncertain flux under his skin. They hadn’t been this unstable since he had first gotten them.
As Danny shook the sleep from his head, the scenery didn’t change, and neither did his memories of the past seven years. It was distinctively not a dream, but here he was, in his own room, after what he knew had been his second meeting with death. Danny climbed out of his bed, and immediately wobbled on his feet. He should be taller than this, and the sudden height change threw him for a loop. He stumbled and wavered on his now too-short legs out of his room, across the hall, and practically crashed into the door of the bathroom when his intangibility refused to cooperate.
The face staring back at him was his own, but not the one Danny had come to know. This one was still padded by baby fat, eyes wide, flesh unscarred by anything other than the bright red Lichtenburg shooting up from the collar or his pajamas. It was seven years too young to be the face he had come to know as his own. Danny swayed and crashed to the bathroom floor. There was a shout from someone else in house. He was fourteen again, just after the accident that had taken his life from him. The past seven years were gone. Danny shuffled himself over the toilet and hurled.
The door opened and he was embraced. Danny stiffened and looked over his shoulder to see bright red hair and teal eyes he hadn’t seen since he had left. Jazz gave him a worried look.
“Danny? Are you okay? You don’t have to go to school if you don’t feel up to it. I’m sure we can convince mom and dad to call you in sick, especially after what happened yesterday. You need the rest, even if it is your first day of high school.”
“Jazz,” Danny whined, his eyes filling with tears. He sunk further into her embrace.
“Oh, Danny…” Jazz said gently, embracing him tightly.
Danny let himself cry and be led back into his room and back into his bed, taking any comfort he could get. Jazz planted a small kiss on his brow before giving him another soft, worried smile.
“I’ll talk to mom and dad. You just focus on getting better, okay?”
Danny nodded, tears blurring his vision as he watched Jazz walk away and out of his room, shutting the door gently behind him. As soon as the lock clicked, he broke down, choking on his own sobs so that no one would hear. He hadn’t cried in years, there had been no time, but now his jumbled mind couldn’t think of anything else to do. His eyes flares with his surge in emotions and he screwed them shut. He was all they way back at the beginning of everything, but a day too late to stop it all. He was already dead, but still too weak and unsteady to be of any use. Was this even a second chance? He could be hallucinating it all, or it could be some sort of twisted joke.
Danny took a deep breath to prevent himself from hyperventilating and grounded himself by focusing on the near-silent hum of his core. It was hard to pick out, which helped him focus in its own way. Last time, he hadn’t noticed until he was already on the run, but now he could feel his core steadily forming and solidifying in his chest after being used to a fully-developed one for so long. This one was still too fresh and fragile, smaller than he was used to. Danny curled up on himself and made a keening noise his throat wasn’t yet equipped to make.
Danny let the exhaustion sink deeper into his bones, which ached, and he fell into an unsteady sleep.
    Danny awoke to the unfamiliar sound of a cell phone. It had been ringing for the past several minutes, forcefully dragging him from his slumber. It took his mind a couple second to catch up to his current situation. It had been hours since he had fallen asleep, apparently, now early afternoon instead of morning. He grabbed the distantly familiar device and struggled to remember his passcode, before figuring it out after a minute of trial and error.
His cell was full of messages from both Sam and Tucker throughout the day, asking him where he was. Danny noticed the messages seemed to get more worried as the day went on. It made sense that they’d be concerned. He had died yesterday, after all. He responded simply and truthfully, with the fact that he’d been allowed to stay home and had been asleep. Their responses were immediate, asking if he was okay and if they could come over.
At the thought of seeing Sam and Tucker, Danny froze. Jazz hadn’t picked up anything different with him, and Danny hadn’t really been acting his (mental) age, but it was possible that either of them could pick up the sudden change. Sam had always been an extremely critical person, and Tucker had known his for so long he new every last one of Danny’s quirks, which had drastically changed over the past seven years. He could be spotted immediately.
Danny could always just tell them. It would be better than lying and pretending, but he wasn’t sure if they’d believe him. They weren’t the same Sam and Tucker he knew, not really. These ones didn’t have the experiences his did. No ghost fights, no possessions, no time travel. They had yet to go through the rough experiences that would follow in the next two years. He wasn’t even sure if he should drag them into all of this ghost business again, but he knew them better than that. They already knew he was a ghost; he wouldn’t be able to stop them from at least helping out.
Danny sent a text back out to the two that he was still really tired and wanted to continue resting. He was fine. It was a lie, but it would be a small one. It was a lie to buy time. Danny went and dragged himself out of bed, and stretched out his hands, trying to get used to them again. The dissonance was still there, but nearly as bad as it had been that morning. It was worse when he overshadowed someone.
Danny’s desk wasn’t the absolute mess it always became during the school season, so it was pretty easy to find a composition book that had been bought for the upcoming term. It gave it a nondescript title, ‘Future Plans.’ It took him hours, and his hand cramped up more often than not, probably from the nerve damage his ghost half had yet to fully repair, and not from no writing anything in years like his mind suppled, even if holding a pen felt foreign to him.
Danny wrote it all down, messily scribbled down in Esperanto. He jotted down everything he could remember, starting from his accident and continuing on over the years, but mostly just until he left. He wrote down what he felt were the causes of certain things in retrospect, and some events he hadn’t known about until long after they happened. He didn’t want to forget anything, or struggle to recall anything in the heat of the moment. If he could stop the worst of it all from happening, then he would consider it a resounding victory.
Danny’s pen stopped in the middle of a phrase. He knew better than to meddle, didn’t he? He had messed with the past before and he knew exactly where they would get him. He wanted things to change, all of the stuff from this point forward, other than certain things he needed to happen, he wanted to alter, but should he?
Danny set the pen down and tried to rub the pain out of his hand, only cramping it further. He let out a low groan. If his parents weren’t in the lab, he could’ve tried to get to Clockwork. He had to know about what was going on and could even be the reason Danny had ‘Returned to Go’ in the first place. But with the portal being newly opened, his parents would be holed up in there for the next week, just like last time.
That brought it into question on if he could even handle the Ghost Zone at this point. He had no control over his own powers, and his core was underdeveloped. It would probably help him stabilize to be in such an ectoplasm-saturated environment, but people would notice is he was gone, especially if he didn’t have anyone to cover for him. No, he couldn’t go to the Long Now yet, but that didn’t write off going into the Ghost Zone in general.
Danny went back to writing, finishing up what had to be the story of what had been the first two years of his life as a ghost in messy, Esperanto-shorthand. It was completely indecipherable to anyone else. Perfect. Danny flipped the book to the back, then upside down, and began again. This time, constantly referencing what he had already written in the first three-quarters of the notebook, Danny started making plans to counter the big bad events and possibly turn things in his favor, sorting events into preventable, unpreventable, and need-to-happen. This time, he had the advantage of information and experience, something he sorely lacked the first time around. He needed to make sure he put them both to good use, both to make some of his battles easier, and to possibly prevent them altogether. He had about a month before the first thing he wanted to change occurred, so that was what he dedicated most of his time to, ironing out all the details he could. It would be great if he could pull this off without getting slammed through a few walls.
Danny had about a month before the larger ghosts started coming through, and about two weeks before the smaller ones learned of the portal’s existence. He had a few good weeks to get his powers under control, now that he knew what he should be capable of. Danny wondered if he could change the time frame and get stronger faster. He would need to be stronger, and more cautious than before.
Danny had a month before Sam inevitably decided to change the school’s menu, and the Lunch Lady appeared in retaliation. He just hoped he would be ready in time.
I have some notes about my sins 4 Lore Fix save to share;
Ages have been mostly figured out since it's supposed to be like a redone Sims 1 timeline. Sims 3 elders and adults close to elder hood are dead. Ones who were young adults or very early into adulthood are elders. Teens are now adults. Children and toddlers are young adults -> those who are children are to be considered later in their young adult years, like late twenties maybe early thirties while toddlers are earlier into young adulthood. I've not decided where babies fall into this yet, though I'm leaning towards early college years. Some characters that were not shown in Sims 1 / had appearances in Sims 3 where some of the world's were at a different time point (bc they LOVE making me work overtime on this) are gonna be dependant. I haven't decided if the Caliente twins are gonna be college student age or not. Meanwhile the Dreamers are going to be teens, as is Brandi Broke (nee Newbie).
Also Katrina doesn't exist. I'm giving the girls their actual mother back.
Kaylynn is a character who will be locked into her age. Because I got fed up of trying to figure out what the hell she was doing in 3 as a child, the same age as Mortimer, when she wasn't supposed to be. And she had a largr interest in the supernatural in Sims 2 so you know what? She's a Vampire. Her first job with her start up cleaning business was with Vlad and she just. Yeah.
I'm trying to bridge the gap in the Landgraab family of like. The Sims 2 Landgraabs and the Sims 3 Landgraabs. We also have to consider Sims 1/Sims Bustin Out Malcolm Landgraab and where the fuck they keep getting this name. I also have decided where Johnny Zest features into this and that he's Sims 3 Malcolm Landgraab's bastard son, and the result of a hook up with Darlene Bunch the day before his wedding to his wife Hannelore.
On that note, I'm planning on keeping at least some of the iconic sims from 4 in this save but I haven't decided who all is staying or nah. The Pancakes are am obvious given. I do really like the Growing Together families. Judith Ward stays.
I'm also debating on what families are coming back and how as well as what differences they'll face but I've got a good bit in that area already. I'm excited bc I'm putting in an Easter egg family for me and Watta with our favorite Sim we ever created and his family. I thought about adding in another of my favorite families I made but it's been so long and that save was So Messy do probs not.
I usually end up watching Bob's Burgers whenever I play and work on the save and I had the epiphany that Daniel Pleasant as a teenager is Jimmy Jr. Like tell me you can't see it.
I have to find a new name for Nervous Subject since in this timeline he doesn't get kidnapped by the Beakers and gets to live with his Mom. It's gotta be death related since he's a grim baby.
