Dc x dp prompt
I'm not sure if anyone done this before.
Batman is taking down the Court of Owls with the help of a small specialist government task force. They have weapons that can target the undead and put them to rest.
Batman allows the weapons because they don't hurt regular humans, only the undead. He's also glad that he can finally put the spirits to rest peacefully, as they can't be exorcised, and the bodies won't stop moving until the trapped soul is released.
The GIW had sent a small team of their best agents to Gotham to scope out rumours that the rogues and vigilantes there were all ghosts. Thankfully, the Bat, who was just a human or a meta, was willing to accept their input when they came across him being attacked by a small horde of Undead.
The changeling that went by the name Robin was even able to help them improve their weapons! There was much less recoil now, and they were able to lock onto a target with much higher accuracy.
Unfortunately, they couldn't stay for long. They had to get back Amity, as a situation was beginning to unfold there. A small town that sat on a thin spot in reality had just had a stable tear open, and the undead were flooding in.
One of their junior agents said that they had taken to mimicking the locals, to try and engender sympathy, before turning around and attacking everyone in sight.
Batman was grateful for the information. From his own research into the matter, the local ghost hunters were definitely ill-equipped to handle the situation. He gave the agent in charge a way to contact him, then set about flagging the town in the JL systems. Any calls from the town were to be checked for authenticity by himself or a other Bat before being responded to - the local rogues had a way to possess others and make them commit crimes or acts of violence. Any calls made against the GIW agents were to be sent to him directly so that he could pass it forward to the relevant authorities, as the rogues liked to cause chaos and dissent amongst allies. Thankfully, the agent he was in communication with was able to quickly determine them as not being true ghosts, but actually baby poltergeists.
Batman updated the system to make that section of Illinois a no-fly zone. The LAST thing they needed was a possessed superpowered person.

I'm rooting for Before the JL form personally. How would this affect them meeting Danny for the first time? I can just imagine him crashing in from outta town and the Bats going practically feral for the new baby bird they found. Now if they could get him to stay in one place long enough to treat his wounds and assure him they mean no harm. Maybe he doesn't show up for several years after the JL form? Danny's core is injured and that's why he hasn't picked up on their feelings yet btw.
Timeline for fics could be like this.
Batman, Nightwing, Oracle, and Robin III (Tim) wake up with wings and all the shenanigans of them learning to hide them with magic and learning to use them for the first fic. (Cursed! City Spirit Lady Gotham Intro?) Alfred has surprising knowledge on Liminals and acts mysterious when asked how he knows so much.
Second Fic Has Jason return to Gotham, this one starts off more Angsty and slowly transitions to Found Family feels? Also, the surprise revelation that Alfred is and always has been a Halfa and that's why he's not aged a day since Bruce was a young boy. He hid his lack of aging with a glamor.
Third fic Introduces Damian and his integration to the family along with Steph gettin her wings and Alfred sitting the family down to talk about the history of Halfas and Liminals as he knows it.
Fourth Fic is Cass joining the family and lots of bonding as the timeline catches up maybe have the POV switch between the Batfam and Gothams Citizens? Maybe this one can focus on how the Lore and Mythos of Gothams protectors grew over the years?
Fic Five JL joins the chat! Meeting Batman and coming to know him in the suit as the JL forms and becomes a team.
Fic Six JL meets Batfam! Lots of hijinx as they learn the Gotham Lore and meet the Bats kids for the first time. (Batfam have a grand ol time messing with JL, Cryptid Batfam guys)
Fic Seven JL finally find out Batfam identities! And there are whispers of a town falling off the map in forums at the end of the fic. (Amnity Park is first mentioned!)
Fic Eight A Wild Danny appears! Why is he alone and hurt? Batfam get word of the Lost town and start to investigate.
Fic Nine Switches to Past Amnity Park and Danny's POV of what happened.
Maybe a reveal gone right, only for the Nasty Burger explosion to happen under slightly different circumstances? Ah, more ideas!
Fic Nine outline.
His parents were meeting with GIW representatives with Vlad the day it happened but Danny had a bad feeling so he went to scout things out with Sam and Tucker. They didn't know it was the GIW that his parents were meeting nor that the meeting place was right behind the Nasty Burger, the Fenton parents and Vlad were in agreement to keep it from the kids at the time. On the way there they met up with Jazz, Ellie, and Dante (the Future Phantom from the other timeline) who had gone to the movies together so Jazz could bond with them. (Good! Vlad AU?)
The meeting was in the building behind the Nasty Burger, and unfortunately for the Fenton parents and Vlad, it was a trap. By the time the kids tracked them down things had gone from bad to worse and a firefight had broken out. None of them had time to react as a shot from an Agent went wide and hit, you guessed it, the Nasty Sauce container. Dante acted fast to send up a shield with Dani to protect Jazz from the blast, Danny was a second slower and just barely got his own shield up in time to save Sam and Tuck. Neither of the Fenton parents survived, and Vlad himself lost it when he saw their bodies and things only got worse from there.
Amity Park was under GIW control from then on, which resulted in the native citizens entering into something of a cold war with the GIW as they harbored and hid the now orphan Fenton/Masters children and refused to abandon them as they recovered from the explosion. In an effort to keep the Infinite Realms safe both the Fenton and Masters portals were remote detonated. This had the handy side effect of destroying any research or weapons the GIW might have tried to salvage from the labs. Said explosions meant however that the children were now homeless. Thankfully Jack Fenton surprised all of them by thinking ahead and contacting Danny's teacher Mr. Lancer. He met up to speak with him and give him several Bug-out bags he put together for his children to keep in his side room just in case something went wrong when the conflicts between the Ghosts and the GIW started to get heated.
I have no idea how Ellie still came to be only that she did somehow come into existence and both she and Dante were taken in by Vlad.
Yes, there are holes in my timeline but that's why we have the rest of the Phandom and the DC Fandom to call to aid! (this is me asking for help, I'm running out of steam) Also PLEASE can we not make Danny Ghost King for this? Well-loved by the Infinite Realms Ghosts sure. Royalty no. I'm thinking more Folk Hero Vibes ya know? Add in that AU with Ghost cores bein able to call across great distances with their own unique sounds and Danny having long hair cause he wanted to be different from Dante and that's all I got.
Take it away Phandom/DC Fandom! Ideas to a good home!
(Look I made a Picture! I messed up a little but still!)
Prompt 299
Hear me out- Ghosts have wings. They have wings, which are affected by their cores, and can make them disappear from sight if they want or need to. You got that? Good.
Ecto-contaminated people? Don’t have wings. Liminals and Halfas, who have developed cores? Do have wings, and they can’t hide said wings, because unlike ghosts? Their bodies are physical living flesh.
Now Gotham? Ecto-contaminated, there’s no doubt about it. The amount of portals that have been opened there and death pits and death cults… yeah it’d be surprising if it wasn’t. But again, no one really notices, because at most? Most just get a bit of eyeshine.
The Bats however? Oh man are they freaking out when they wake up with aches in their back and feathers starting to poke through their skin. Curse? Nope! Welcome to Liminality, enjoy the second puberty of wings, emotion-sharing, fangs, claws, and whatever else you might develop- also enjoy the whole eating fear thing. (Wait, the what-)

DC x DP Prompt/Idea
Amity Park has always been haunted; everyone knows this but didn't care as long as it didn't disturb their lives. However, they didn't realize that they made up a third of the beings haunting it.
From the moving trees to the animals with blackholes for pupils. Amitians didn't care if the clouds moved and made themselves into shapes in a way that didn't seem natural, or that the streets always looked so odd or changed as they walked about.
They ignored the mushroom rings at the park, it's not like their dogs were interested in them and joggers tend to stick to the sidewalks. They ignored the people who looked familiar but just a bit off, like their too long arms, their claw or talon-like nails, the lack of facial features, their sharp teeth, and too wide smiles.
The humming and singing at night, the dancing ladies around town, the fog that had a figure just behind it- It wasn't their problem.
Until Wes moved into town and almost Immediately got out and called the Justice League.
At least he waited for Phantom to get to the point of burning out?
#danny phantom#dc x dp#dp x dc#dpxdc#justice league#prompt?#story ideas#fic ideas#wes weston#Wes thought of Danny as the lesser of 2 evils#But when Danny looked like he was close enough to keel over and die fully Wes decided that enough was enough#is he a hero's family member?#is he a main contact because of his family's curse?#Maybe he knows JLD a little too much or just found out everyone's identities and kept their personal numbers around#idk I just wanted a haunted Amity#Like- fully haunted and extremely scary to an outsider's point of view#maybe Amity is part of the dead-adjacent community and was always under the GIW's or some paranormal gov's watch#but nice gov au#i want them to be nice for once#competent#supportive of a vigilante/hero#anyway this is yet another thing that just randomly popped into my mind

Double Tim
(Okay I swear I saw a similar concept somewhere a long time ago. No idea if it was a one shot on Ao3 or just a tumblr prompt. Pls link if you find it)
—————————————————————————
Danny had been badly injured in his human form. He could feel himself destabilizing. Normally he would be able to heal but the hunters were relentless and had new gadgets that made that even harder. His only luck was that it wasn’t Blood Blossoms.
Escaping through a random portal in his rush he ended up in an unknown lab. He noticed an empty body with no soul and quickly overshadowed it. It wasn’t long before he felt himself falling into a daze as he began stabilizing and connecting to the body. The new body would become his human half and his ghost side would take a bit longer before he could continue on as a halfa.
What he wasn’t expecting though was while he was integrating to the body a process would kick in. The body? A clone of Tim Drake, made by himself as a backup if he ever died. Unfortunately said Tim Drake didn’t account for a malfunction to happen when his heart stopped for only mere moments.
Danny in his stabilizing haze felt memories that weren’t his, and he wasn’t in the state of mind to reject them, adding them to the process as well. When he fully woke he realized what had happened. His brain honestly felt like it worked differently now. He wouldn’t say he wasn’t Danny anymore, but now he knew with his templates memories that the hunters wouldn’t be able to catch him again.
Getting out of the pod, the memories quickly kicked in. Grabbing gear, he decided it would be good to track down Tim and see what he was doing that would have activated the clone.
—————
Danny had to say… his template needed help. He was drowning himself figuratively as he tried to find Bruce, lost in the timeline. If it wasn’t for Clockwork’s note to stick to the shadows until the quest was complete he would have joined openly to help by now. Sighing, he decided to help in the background. He could at least make sure only one of them were dead.
He still needed to get used to the new memories and body. He also wouldn’t get his ghost half’s powers for a bit. His new body didn’t have the advantage of being rewritten in a portal so it would be the slow method as his body adapted. At least CW’s note told him it would be done by the time Tim’s quest was over.
#dp x dc#dpxdc#dc x dp#dcxdp#danny phantom#Danny is Tim’s Clone#Tim made a contingency in case he died but it went wrong#Danny is much more competent in human form now#Danny was smart before but with Tim’s clone brain and memories he feels much smarter#Danny shows up in front of the Batfam after it is all over#Tim is perfectly okay with it. Damian isn’t - especially when he finds out this one isn’t stabable.#They dismantle the GIW as twin bonding later

The Justice League finally caught up to this kid who has helped save the world on several occasions. They really just want to make sure the kid is okay and not in over his head. The last time he helped, he had a hole in his stomach and just ran! What if he dies?! (They are not acknowledging/forget that this is a dead child).
They walk up and this child who doesn't flinch in front of literal armies trying to destroy the world is shaking and trying not to cry. They realize he's terrified of them.
He's sobbing, having a panic attack and they don't know why. Finally someone (probably one of the JLD members) suggests to bring in another ghost, Deadman.
They send in Deadman and the kid doesn't really trust him, but isn't as panicked. The two talk and Deadman comes out looking horrified. He tells them what the kid, Phantom (they finally have a name), told him. The GIW. They can tell he's leaving things out, but they can get to that later.
They pick a few members who can keep calm and are good with kids to go in and talk to him with Deadman. The rest get to work on dismantling the GIW.
Danny doesn't completely trust them, thinking this is some elaborate ploy to get more information on other ghosts. He keeps a lot to himself, but if they really do want to help take down the GIW who's he to stop them..... Maybe they really didn't know. Maybe someone might actually help.... He'll have to wait and see.
I have a special place in my heart for fics of the Justice League trying to look into this super powered kid who shows up at random to help, only for him to avoid them like his life depends on it and constantly vanish, and one day, they finally get to talk to him and realize he’s a half ghost who’s completely and utterly terrified of them.
I love Danny who’s scared to his second death of them, especially of being caught by them, but helps them when they need it anyways because he feels like he has to and runs away at the first chance he gets!
And the more he does this, the more he grabs their attention, and he knows this. He knows he’s getting the second last thing he wants, knowing they’d turn him into the G.I.W., but helps anyways. And then he gets caught and is having a panic attack and crying thinking about all the experiments he’d be subjected to soon. All the horrific acts he’d be put through and be unable to stop it because there actually is a point of no return, and giving into the temptation to help them has just brought him to it.
#dc x dp#dp x dc#justice league#danny phantom#danny doesnt trust them#he feels like he has nothing to lose so why not?#the jl is pissed#they are going to put these people into jail if its the last thing they do#the giw doesnt know what hit them#the jl freak out even more when they realize all of the people dealing with the ghosts are LITERAL CHILDREN#the jl is very concerned#tucker jazz sam valerie and dani are all prepping to raid the jl to get danny#the jl realize that these kids have 0 chill and are very competent#the kids just want to get danny back safely and do NOT trust the jl

The Worst Branch in the Country
The GIW knows Amity Park is a huge fraud. The “most haunted city in the US”, really? They’ve been checking the place out for decades with nary a peep aside from that couple of crazy scientists that moved into town around twenty years prior.
Because of this, the town became a punishment duty. One of their agents causes trouble? They get put in time out and sent to work for a while in Amity Park. Let those idiots chase after pointless rumors while the actually competent agents work with the more important ghosts. The reports back from the town get barely more than a cursory glance before getting tossed in the shredder.
…Which really came back to bite them when ghosts did actually start to show up, and they didn’t realize until after the Amity Park branch had royally screwed up the situation.
Fuck, they really hope this doesn’t start a war.
Optional DPxDC addition: they call in the Justice League Dark for help with negotiation and taking down their rogue members

put Danny Phantom in the DC Universe during the events of Reality Trip
Reality trip was a two-part episode where Danny, Sam, and Tucker had to run around the US to find the three stones of the reality gauntlet. Danny's identity has been revealed to the world and Freakshow is holding their families hostage, all while the GIW are hunting after him.
Running from the bumbling ghost hunters was bad enough, but competent superheroes that are faster, stronger and smarter than him? A disaster.
Now, the Justice League is hunting him under the presumption that he is dangerous, perhaps even that he kidnapped Tucker and Sam and is behind their families' disappearance.
Danny hasn't met an adult that doesn't hate his ghost half, so after the Justice League has never helped with the ghost attacks, and are now hunting him, he doesn't even try to plea his case to the adults, not when they have GIW brand guns strapped to their backs.
Danny, being desperate to get his family back, might resort to methods he wouldn't usually use.
He might overshadow Superman and use his strength against his teammates or
to beat them soundly enough they're unable to come after him anymore. Stuff he isn't proud of and doesn't talk about with Sam and Tucker.
Maybe they successfully even capture Danny for a small time and he gets the full betrayal of his heroes not hesitating to hand him right over to the GIW
In the end, when Danny finally has the reality gauntlet, Danny's only option is to reverse time and wipe the mind of the last summer from the entire world. This fixes all their problems but also erases any of the alliances they might have formed along the way. They can pretend they don't know what it's like to have the Justice League hunting them, to experience Batman's extensive planning, or see Superman angry
Of course, that doesn't mean Danny has forgotten when years later the Justice League comes knocking, asking for his help, inviting him to their team.
Danny hasn't forgotten what Batman's extensive planning looks like, or what Superman looks like angry. He still knows most of their identities and the names of their loved ones. He knows how to get to the watchtower and crash all its technology. He knows the methods they will go to capture a person who's done nothing wrong and what the inside of their jail cells looks like.
Just saying, the angst potential is limitless.

DC + DP
Danny was supposed to be on the run from the GIW. Which he was, don't he didn't get him wrong, but he'd only had a few run ins with them, in Chicago, and NYC mainly. The foster care system was another issue. Somehow social workers were more competent than the GIW.
The first time he'd run in with them had been in Missuiri, accurate to the name it was miserable. He knew he had a baby face, he hadn't aged since he'd died after all. But was eighteen really such a stretch? he was sixteen after all!
Apparently it was, because they found the abandoned warehouse he was staying in and put him in foster care. He wasn't too happy about that. But he stayed, the Mathews were nice if a bit odd, but the GIW came to town and he ran.
They found him. So he ran again. Eventually he stopped staying stopped waiting for the ball to drop and just ran first chance he got. They started putting him in places for bad kids, places that had top notch security, still he ran. The foster system, infamously known as being terrible, kept finding him. They didn't put him in good homes, but they found him. He kept running.
Danny was done with it. Until he found Gotham, because their foster kid was practically nonexistent. It didn't really have other perks, but Danny didn't really have other options. So Gotham it was. The city was basically hell. Kinda, in reality it was just full of organized crime, violence, and death. A whole lot of death.
The dead roamed the streets, except they weren't ghosts. They were shades. Contrary to popular opinion they aren't the same.
Ghosts are their own being, an aspect of their past but not the full thing. Ghosts had moved on from their deaths. They were beings of the infinity realms. But shades are beings of the living realm. Because while they are dead, they linger, because they haven't accepted their deaths.
Danny knows he would have been a shade had he not been a halfa, he would have been watching waiting, for years. So he talks with them, to those who don't accept it, and they move on. Slowly losing the doubts from their life.
He talks and they help him in return. Shades after all understand humans, ghosts don't. They understand doubts and worries and pain. So they help him, they show him the cheapest stores. the crime free places. The best places to get free food, where to find shelter. The parts of the sewers where Grundy or Killer Croc don't roam.
So he learns, quick and fast, he knows Gotham in a way no one else does. The dead guide him. But the dead are not the only otherworldly inhabitants of Gotham. The city herself is ancient, a city spirit with so much power it's otherworldly. yet she smiles upon him.
He doesn't quite know why, he is young, weak in comparison, and yet when he asks she answers "You protect things, my city needs more defenders." He takes the duty with pride. He cannot be Phantom, but he's Danny. He's reckless perhaps, but he defends. He doesn't fail.
Ever.
Despite never failing, he gains attention. The protectors of Gotham notice him. The first time he meets them it's after a knife wound. He knows taking on the guy was dumb, but he wasn't about to let that girl get hurt. Or even worse r@ped,
He's taller, a red helmet and leather jacket. Just jazz's type. Danny meets his eyes evenly, he's dead. Partially, really it's been ages since he met someone who's contaminated. But he ignores it because they look at him with anger.
"What the fuck kid?" His tone is gruff, harsh grating, he clearly had a voice changer Danny notes. "Don't do that again, ever," the warning is ominous, Danny has no intention to listen.
so he vanishes, fleeing from Gotham's beloved knight and hiding. He feels guilty, that he's not listening. But he can't, because the shades are there. Begging him to help their home. So he does, he listens.
But he's not doing enough, he knows that. But he can't be phantom. he'll die. He doesn't want to die again. Not at the GIW's hands.
But Gotham needs him. So he fights harder. Night after night, he takes bullets, shuts down drug rings. He shuts down a trafficking ring and shows the meta kids how he can float. They giggle and laugh. It reminds him why it's worth it.
The second time he meets one of them it's a kid, Robin they call him, he's outnumbered, yet he's holding his own. Danny helps anyway. "Go away!" the kid demands, worry in his voice.
Danny doesn't care, he fights, and he takes them out. it's easy really, fighting. He's used to it, they don't even have guns tonight. The kid fights too, with worry in his eyes as he looks at Danny. Danny knows Robin doesn't want him in his city, but Danny can't leave. He won't.
Red Robin is next, blue eyes, and he moves like grace, Danny's hurt he knows, the shades muttering, scolding. He knows getting hurt makes stuff harder, he's such an idiot. And Red Robin reaches for him.
"Are you hurt?" he calls. He's judging him, Danny knows, telling him that he's weak. And he's right, so he runs. The shades guide him and he vanishes.
He meets Nightwing later that week, in the middle a taking down a drug ring, Danny fights, and he does too.
"Hey!" he calls. Danny runs, he's mad, Danny knows it's his fault for interfering, he didn't mean too. He did, he won't stop. He;s sorry.
Two days latter he is confronted by the bat, "Why are you here? Don't you have somewhere else?" he asks. Get out is what he's sayying, Danny can't there's no where else that's safe. Nowhere where he'll be okay.
So he runs.
---------
In case you didn't notice Danny's unreliable in this. So ha ha yeah the bats are trying to help and he's freaking out. So the bats perspective is coming up soon!
so kinda freaking out, so yesterday I felt bad, like puked and then just fainted, my roommate dragged me to bed, she thought I just fell asleep on the floor cause I've done that before. Am fine but thought I'd share?
also love ya'll! and I'm working on my Danny/Dick thing fingers crossed I'll be finished with part 4 soon!
Bye!

DP X Marvel #25
Danny Fenton hadn’t meant to punch Captain America in the face. In fact, he’d spent the better part of the week trying not to punch anyone, despite the rapidly growing laundry list of reasons to lose his cool—like not sleeping for seventy-two hours because Technus decided to merge his data with every Bluetooth speaker in the tri-state area, or the GIW tracking his every move again, or that weird, suspicious portal energy he kept picking up from somewhere labeled Stark Tower. Danny was running on fumes, ghostly adrenaline, and one too many Red Bulls when it happened. Really, the stars aligned perfectly for an international incident.
He’d only been in New York for six hours, trying to find the source of the energy spike without alerting every superhero on the block—because the last thing he needed was to get into it with the Avengers. Again. The last time had involved Hulk trying to punch a ghost and failing miserably, Thor throwing Mjölnir into the Ghost Zone, and Iron Man demanding to know if ectoplasm was FDA approved. It was a whole thing.
Danny was crouched on the rooftop of some high-rise, scanning with a modified Fenton Specter-Tracker, eyes bloodshot and twitching slightly. He hadn’t slept since Monday. It was Thursday.
“Hey, kid,” came a voice behind him, calm but firm.
Danny spun like a feral cat, eyes glowing, hair frizzed out with ghost static. He registered the silhouette of a man—tall, broad-shouldered, carrying a star-shaped shield—and his brain went danger. Ghost hunter? No. GIW agent? No. Super-soldier-hydra-time-travel-experiment?
He didn’t even process it. He just swung.
There was a crack like a thunderclap, followed by the very human sound of pain—a grunt that broke mid-voice like it had surprised the man himself. Captain Steve Rogers staggered back, hand pressed to his jaw, blinking stars out of his vision and trying to comprehend the fact that someone had just hit him hard enough to make him feel it. Not just feel it—wince. His serum-enhanced, war-hardened, literally-punched-by-Thor-once jaw hurt.
Danny stood frozen, fist still outstretched, pupils blown wide in horror.
“Oh my God. Oh my God. I just punched Captain America. I just decked the star-spangled man with a plan. I am so sorry—I thought you were a ghost! Or like—a time-traveling war criminal! Wait, that’s redundant—”
“Okay, wow,” Steve mumbled, touching his jaw again. “That’s definitely gonna bruise.”
Danny looked like he was about to combust. “Why were you behind me like that?! Who just materializes out of nowhere and says ‘hey, kid’ in the middle of a rooftop stakeout?! I thought I was being ambushed!”
Steve blinked. “I was asking for directions.”
Danny gasped. “You were WHAT?”
Steve looked sheepish. “Tony dropped me off on the wrong building. Said, and I quote, ‘GPS is for cowards.’ I’ve been circling the same three blocks for twenty minutes.”
Danny stared. “Captain America got lost and asked a sleep-deprived half-ghost teenager for directions?”
“I didn’t know you were a sleep-deprived half-ghost teenager,” Steve said defensively. “You looked… competent. Specter-tracker aside.”
Danny made a strangled noise and sat down hard, face buried in his hands. “I’m going to be assassinated by your PR team.”
Steve rubbed his jaw again. “You’re stronger than you look.”
“That is not the point here!”
“No, seriously,” Steve insisted, kneeling down. “That punch? I’ve taken hits from Thanos. You rattled me.”
Danny peeked through his fingers. “Are you flirting with me?”
“What? No!”
“You’re complimenting my punch like it’s a pickup line.”
“I’m—okay, no. You’re a kid.”
“I’m nineteen!”
Steve squinted. “You look like you’ve been through five timelines and one midlife crisis.”
“I have!” Danny wailed. “Do you know what it’s like to babysit the entire ghost population of the afterlife and then accidentally elbow Thor in the ribs during a training session because you forgot he was behind you?! I’m a walking international crisis!”
Steve paused. “Wait. You trained with Thor?”
“Long story. I died once, came back, now I punch ghosts for fun and may or may not be legally considered a WMD by six governments.”
Steve took a long breath. “Do all teenagers do this now? Or is this just a… you thing?”
Danny groaned. “Just me. I’m special.”
Steve lowered his shield and sat cross-legged like they were about to have a heart-to-heart. “You okay, kid?”
“No! I haven’t slept in three days, my enemies keep possessing animatronics to scare me, and I just committed accidental patriotic assault!”
Steve tried not to smile. He really did. “You got a name?”
Danny sighed. “Danny. Danny Fenton. Or Phantom. Depends on how you know me.”
Steve looked intrigued. “You’re the ghost kid.”
Danny flinched. “I prefer ghost young adult, thank you.”
“You’re the one Nick Fury won’t shut up about.”
Danny’s eyes widened. “He talks about me?”
“Nonstop. Every meeting. ‘The ghost kid leveled a tank with his pinky finger!’ ‘The ghost kid opened a portal to another dimension with a yawn!’” Steve did a passable impression of Fury’s gruff voice. “‘You think your team’s strong? Try containing a seventeen-year-old who talks to the dead like it’s a podcast!’”
Danny laughed, a bit unhinged, definitely sleep-deprived. “I did do the tank thing. That was an accident.”
“Fury thinks you’re the future.”
“That’s horrifying.”
“You’re not wrong.”
Danny looked at him warily. “Are you gonna try to recruit me?”
Steve considered. “Honestly? Not until you’ve slept. You look like you’d punch Thor if he asked you for coffee.”
“I have, and I did, and he was proud of me.”
“…Of course he was.”
There was a moment of silence, just the city humming beneath them, both of them sitting cross-legged like two war veterans who somehow found themselves on a rooftop in Manhattan instead of the battlefield they were clearly built for.
“So,” Steve said eventually. “You gonna tell me why you’re camped out here?”
Danny pointed to the tracker. “Someone in that building”—he gestured vaguely toward Stark Tower—“is leaking interdimensional ghost radiation like it’s designer cologne. I was trying to be subtle.”
Steve looked at the tower. “That’s Tony.”
Danny blinked. “Tony Stark is radiating ectoplasmic energy?”
“Yeah. He bought a ghost portal off eBay last month. Said it’d be good for ‘multiverse surveillance.’ It… got loose.”
Danny stood up so fast he swayed. “I knew it! I told Jazz that someone was messing with rogue ghost portals again and she said I was paranoid! I am paranoid! But that doesn’t mean I’m wrong!”
“You’re… very high-strung.”
Danny glared. “Do you have a collection of alternate-universe versions of yourself constantly trying to kill you?”
Steve held up his hands. “Fair.”
Suddenly, Danny wobbled. His legs buckled, and Steve caught him with a grunt. “Woah, hey, hey! Okay, that’s enough hero time for now.”
“I’m fine,” Danny slurred. “I’ve just been awake for three days. It’s not a problem unless I—”
He passed out.
Steve stared down at the kid—a half-dead, glowing teen who apparently punched like a demigod and talked like a sitcom character on speed—and muttered, “…Tony owes me so much alcohol for this.”
He slung Danny over his shoulder and started walking toward the Tower.
A few floors down, Tony Stark looked up from his holograms and blinked as the elevator pinged open.
Steve walked in carrying what looked like a sleep-dead raccoon in human form.
Tony blinked. “Did you adopt a raccoon?”
“He punched me.”
Tony raised an eyebrow. “…You?”
“Knocked me back five feet.”
Tony whistled. “Damn. Strong raccoon.”
“He’s nineteen. Name’s Danny Fenton. Ghost kid.”
Tony’s eyes widened. “Oh. Oh. The one Fury thinks is a nuclear bomb with social anxiety.”
Steve dumped Danny on the nearest couch. “Let him sleep. He earned it.”
Tony looked down at Danny. “Should I be worried he’s glowing?”
“No. But maybe hide the ghost portal.”
Tony scoffed. “I knew someone was tracking it.”
Danny stirred, groaning, “Stark, I swear to the Ancients, if I wake up and your toaster is haunted again, I’m putting salt in your arc reactor…”
Steve stared. “Wait, what?”
Tony sighed. “Long story. Ghosts don’t like me. Something about my attitude.”
Steve sat down, already dreading explaining this to Fury.
Across the room, Danny turned on his side, mumbled, “Tell the Captain I didn’t mean to punch him…”
Steve looked over, surprisingly fond. “It’s fine, kid. I’ve had worse.”
Danny let out a soft snore.
Tony grinned. “You’re getting soft.”
“He reminds me of Bucky.”
Tony choked. “Excuse me?”
Steve shrugged. “If Bucky died and came back with ghost powers, he’d absolutely punch me in the face for fun.”
“…Okay, yeah, that tracks.”
And thus began the weird, wonderful, mildly catastrophic journey of Danny Fenton, ghost boy, menace to the Avengers, and accidental best friend to Captain America, who still rubbed his jaw now and then, remembering the punch that nearly knocked out a super-soldier’s tooth.

DP x DC Writing Prompt: Phashpoint's Phantom
If you were to ask Barry Allen on his opinion regarding young Danny Fenton/Phantom, he could talk for hours about the young Halfa and his happy family of Ghost Hunters.
The boy saved the entire planet from the Disasteroid and became one of the Young Justice's most powerful supernatural hitters while his female clone, Dani, also proved to be a valuable asset to the Teen Titans as well.
When Barry returned after the events of Flashpoint, on an Earth that was similar but different to the one he left behind prior... Barry was devastated and believed that the duo of Halfas were gone alongside many other young heroes.
But that was until a few years later when now Flash looked at the screen with disbelief after the League was contacted by a government branch known as the Ghost Investigation Ward.
According to them a dangerous ecto-entity they had contained has recently broken out and are now considered a threat to the entire planet, they are to be recaptured at all costs.
Flash had a bad feeling the entire time he stayed silent, but felt his fears were confirmed when the picture of a familiar face appeared on screen, attacking GIW bases.
"...Danny?"
Flash knew a lot of his friends had changed after the incident... But he didn't want to believe if the young Phantom truly became a villain or not. He wanted to believe in the boy who was ecstatic when he first set foot on the Watchtower for the first time, but... Could he?
(Or... In the Post-Crisis Era of DC Pre-Flashpoint, a Post-Phantom Planet canon Danny became a member of the Justice League but was missing in the Post-Flashpoint Earth. However Danny was in his own rebooted history where things turned out differently in his life, with a life more like most fanon Danny incarnations where he is contained by a more competent GIW until he escaped.)
(Up to you with where Dani is during all this and if Danny is the same and remembers the last world because of some Clockwork related bullcrap or not)

A Phantom of a Bat
DP x DC Prompt
Tucker had noticed something different about Danny. He's been acting more seriously, not making as much puns, and is generally getting smarter and better at dodging attacks without using his powers. Tucker also noticed that Danny is spending more time in the Ghost Zone than before.
So, as a good friend who is concerned for his best friend, he stalks Danny in the Ghost Zone. But what he finds is shocking, Danny is learning how to fight, solve crime, and improvise under the freaking BATMAN. But it shouldn't be possible, as Batman is still alive and well in Gotham. So, with his smarts, he concluded that Danny is learning under the Spirit of Batman, a Neverborn that was in the Ghost Zone, but the Gotham that the Spirit if Batman is looking over doesn't look like the Gotham he knows, it looks... more sinister, and has some buildings that aren't in the real world Gotham, like Lex Corp, Queen Industries, it has those buildings and other newer buildings that are being built over old ones, and the most ominous thing he's noticed is a big Arkham Asylum looming over the Gotham of the Ghost Zone. He concluded that this is a Batman and a Ghost Zone equivalent of the Gotham of a different timeline. He's heard before that the Ghost Zone can connect to different timelines, and with Danny's luck, it was bound to happen.
Tucker was building up his courage to ask Danny about his more frequent visits to the Zone a few days later. Because this is obviously a big secret Danny had kept from him, Sam had slowly drifted away from them when her and Danny broke up. They just weren't meant for each other.
And then something very bad happens. Either the GIW becomes more competent or the Fentons find out about Danny's Ghostly half and attack him. And now Danny is missing after telling Tucker over the phone about what happened while running away.
Maybe Tucker should contact his aunt on his mom's side, who is a high ranking Government Official who has worked with and told him herself the deeds of the Bat to help him get his best friend back. So he frantically searches for his phone that his aunt got him and dials the number she had him memorize and waits. And when she finally picks up, he lets out a sigh of relief.
"Amanda Waller speaking"
(Kinda surprised no one commented that Danny is learning under the Spirit of Arkham Batman)

so, i see all these aus where danny gets help from the justice league for the anti ecto acts, and they're great. but hear me out. ghost king danny. classic setup, acts need to be repealed or war.
so danny goes to the league, of course.
the league of assassins.
Ra's is already familiar with death, and ghosts, and the realms. ya man's had the lazarus pits for centuries, he knows a little bit of what's what. maybe there's already some trade relations going on. more importantly, he has a massive group of hyper competent people who can pull strings in the government very stealthily, and have no outside affiliation or loyalty to that government.
but why not the JL? most of them are based in the USA. they work with the government (danny assumes). surely they are aware of the Acts. surely they would conform to them, enforce them.
so ghost king danny meets with ra's, who gives rancid vibes, but is able to, and wants to, do a smear campaign against the JL. against the USA. to gain favor with the guy who is the king of his most sacred resource, and knowledge about how to use the Pits to gain some basic liminal powers.
danny doesn't like the solution, exactly. but he's king. and this is what will protect his people. this is what will get expedient results. this is what his advisors who will still permit peace will allow.
so danny takes the deal with Ra's.
the initial outrage begins online, perhaps through MikMok. a mega famous influencer is cosplaying as superman, doing a twerking sort of dance to the most current haha funni meme song. the text overlay reads: when the superheroes condone genocide because they aren't human, ANTI-ECTO ACTS (whatever law/section code they were passed in).
it goes viral. and then someone finds the Acts (prodded along by the League) and it goes from a hit sensation online to every. single. news outlet flooding with information (puppeted by the League).
is this real? the Acts are real. but why? if these people(?) don't exist, why the Acts? the outrage. the mass confusion. the conspiracies. the new subgeddits and trending xitter tags. 4kun greentext be me: a ghost, becomes the new thing.
at this point, the GIW are scrambling to keep their involvment on the downlow. there are acts, sure, but they're not enforced :DDDD
vlad is in a similar situation. he cloned a guy. he def experimented on other ghosts to get to that level of knowledge. naturally, this is about when lex luthor gets involved. because, wouldn't you know it, but project CADMUS? yeah. that was a collab with DalvCo. they both wanted non-human clones from green stuff. they got it, and now luthor's sitting on some unpretty information.
he promptly shoves vlad under the bus, which is rapidly becoming less of a bus and more a trainwreck.
the league is surprised this happened, but goes with it.
the US governemnt is still trying to deny, deny, deny.
it's at this point that the JL gets themselves together. they don't know if the papers by Drs fenton are biased, or if ecto entities really are mindless creatures bent on destruction.
constantine says they're biased. green lantern concurs.
they decide to summon an ecto entity and find out what is going on.
danny is pretty stressed. it's a stressful situation. he's on break for the first time since they got a solution to this problem. he's not gonna answer a summoning. he has people to do that for him.
so they don't get the ghost king.
but they do get-
dani. and jazz. at the same time.
maximum possible psychic damage.
in the room at the watchtower is the big 3, green lantern, martian manhunter, flash, constantine, zatanna, raven, and black canary (legends of tomorrow experience? cool headed? there for arrow who is busy?).
dani doesn't like superman. he treats clones badly. jazz doesn't like batman, see Arkham.
dani doesn't know who c, z, raven, or bc are. jazz kinda knows of them, but not well.
so the actual negotiations go down with WW and MM.
they have a lot of questions. dani (abomination form) introduces jazz (basic looking human) as a princess of the realms. jazz says that the Acts are real, the realms want war, go suck a creamsickle (that was dani), they want restitution for the lives lost from the GIW.
then they leave the JL wondering who the GIW are.
someone (LoA) manages to hack the watchtower and post the meeting online as soon as it happens. or maybe they livestreamed it on Switch.
my spamblr, the result of my space buying tumblr in 1999, gains its first sexy women (jazz). jazz/WW fiction springs up on AOL3 overnight.
the GIW goes public. they try to push the envelop of ghosts being non-sentient. they try to use jazz being ambassador for that meeting to help their case. the JL is fighting accuations, but they are being pidgeon holed into siding with the GIW by the media.
it's at this point that things go from trainwreck to airplane runway crash.
dalvco and luthor are in a lawsuit. the usgov is under pressure from everyone. people are calling for impeachment of the president. the GIW is getting raided and having their evil posted online. the drs fentons are absent (in the ghost zone, either being evil or having mimosas with pandora). ra's is trying to use new knowledge of the Pits to reanimate tim's spleen. the JL is under constant fire. everyone who has ever had a malicious opinion about super or meta control is getting new platforms. danny can't use his intimate knowledge of what's going on to write his essays for school.
the world is galvanized. there are calls to action. liminals of Amity Prak come forward. you could be liminal too! the Acts get repealed. the GIW gets cleaned out, all prisoners rescued. the realms get restituition. the meta protection acts get expanded.
people will learn about phantom, the superhero. the dead boy who saved them all when the JL didn't answer amity's calls. the JL comes under more fire. they lose funding, defund the police style. for maximum chaos, this can be when the miraculous ladybug crossover starts.
phantom gets a bajillion features on true crime podcasts. tucker keeps sending links to the episodes to them. sam will never admit it, but she listens to them.
but things will never, ever be the same. arguably it's a bad end. but...
black canary restructures arkham from what jazz said to batman in that meeting. many of the rogues get actual help. the joker is transfered to a supermax. he never escapes again. nightwing takes the discowing costume back up in celebration.
vlad loses the lawsuit, and uses his powers to get one over on luthor, who has a mind control suggestion implanted to (amongst other things) never be able to work on these projects again.
there is greater transparancy in superhero work. this makes some people start social programs for villians who have a point. it works for a few of them. the JL is cleared up to handle more extraterrestriel threats, not leaving the burden on one person alone in the cities. the child sidekicks have less work.
amanda waller is fired. ironically, she had nothing to do with any of this, but people assume that she did. either way, everyone agrees it's deserved.
the league of assassins makes a lot of money. they get hired a lot in turbulent times.
disney, which is utterly unchanged in this dimension, makes a documentary about everything. they get dani in for an interview. it's in very bad taste. there is at least one death pun and CGI'd animal.
danny graduates.
clockwork smiles.

Finally Getting Help (pt 3)
first | last | Masterpost | Next
What Tim and Bruce found was completely ridiculous. It really wasn’t hard to find the Doctors Fenton’s website but it was ridiculous! It was outdated and gaudy with animations of cartoony ghosts everywhere. If it hadn’t been for how clear Danny was about his parents' names Tim would have skipped right over it. But when he got past the terrible website design and started reading it his stomach just dropped lower and lower.
The writing was clean and scientific though it couldn’t disguise the malicious delight they took in tearing the creatures they called ‘ghosts’ apart. Whatever these ghosts really were Danny had been internalizing this attitude about Himself for years! They also bragged about their weapons and their government contract. So whether that was true or not Danny hadn’t been lying or delusional, it was his parents. And regardless of what these ghosts actually were it was obvious they were supernatural so RR sent a link to the website to Zatana.
(link)
RR: What do you think?
Tana: Lol is this a joke?
RR: I wish, I know it looks like one but no, this is deadly serious.
Tana: Hang on
Red Robin put down his phone to give Zatana the time to read over the site and looked more into Maddy and Jack Fenton while she did. He found their graduation certificates, and pictures of them in college with what must have been a much younger Vlad. So they were actually doctors of some sort, they had their doctorate, though that didn’t exactly make it any less likely they had gone fully off the rails now.
His phone dinged and he picked it up to see one short message from Zatana.
Tana: I’m coming to the cave.
Tim sighed and put his phone back down, spinning his chair to face B who was hunched over the computer typing furiously. “Zatana is on her way, I asked for her opinion of the Fenton’s research and she must think it’s big.” He said as he dug out a domino mask.
“Hm,” B sounded and went to get his cowl. “Report?”
“The Doctors Fenton are doctors, they got their doctorates though I don’t know in what yet. They’ve been friends with Vlad since university and they certainly at least think they’re studying ghosts. Their website has articles on behaviours and biology, and how to hunt and hurt ghosts. They brag about a government contract.” Tim summarized. “You?”
“The Ghost Investigation Ward does exist and they are a government agency but they only seem to be active in the town of Amity Park and they’re so inept! It wasn’t hard to hack them, they’re trying to sound mysterious and a little dangerous talking about protecting humanity from invasions from other worlds but I don’t think they’re actually that competent,” Batman said with a scowl.
“The only reason we didn’t know about this was because we weren’t looking! And it’s possible Danny is right and they were jamming calls from Amity to the JL, but I have a terrible feeling what actually happened if that the call came through and someone heard them talking about ghosts and rogue government agencies, assumed it was a prank and blocked them,” Bruce said massaging his temples.
“Ah,” Tim said, his heart dropping at how plausible that sounded. Could they have saved Danny before, if they had taken that call seriously.
“And Vlad is the mayor of his town, there are articles about Danny fighting him in public. It seems like everyone knew their relationship was antagonistic at best and No One defended him. The GIW also listed him in their special thanks for helping fund them. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s been using them as a tool to threaten and control Danny.” Batman said with cold fury. Tim took a deep breath, and exhaled slowly.
“We weren’t able to protect him, but we will avenge him. And we’ll keep him safe Now,” Tim reminded his father. Privately thinking that as soon as he could he was going to tell Jason about this so they could Really make sure Vlad never came near Danny again. An arrest just wasn’t strong enough for a man like that. He wasn’t going to tell Bruce that though, obviously.
The sound of the Zeta tube interrupted their moment as Zatana arrived, looking slightly more ruffled then she usually did. She must have really rushed here, which was a bit worrying.
“Zatana,” Batman greeted.
“Hello Batman, before we talk I need to check your wards.” She said already walking past them.
“Hm,” Batman sounded, making RR smile a little, how Batman made that sound mean so many different things always sort of amazed him.
“I need to check the ones on your home too. And I’d like to meet the boy you have under your care,” She said briskly.
“How did you know about the boy?” Batman asked gruffly.
“Lucky guess,” she said briskly, her hands glowed as she walked around the cave, making seemingly random gestures as if touching or pulling on invisible threads. None of the bats really understood magic so they left her to it. When she was done they let her up into the manner, she knew their identities already after all and she checked all the wards on the home very thoroughly, occasionally casting spells to reinforce them. They collected Dick and Damian trailing after them curiously as they went as well.
“Alright, can I meet the boy now?” She asked, turning towards Bruce who crossed his arms and puffed out his chest a bit.
“Not till you explain to us what’s going on,” He growled and Zatana looked over the curious stubborn faces surrounding her and sighed.
“Fine,” she allowed, resigned. She rubbed her temples as she looked around for a chair and sunk down into it. “So what the Fentons seem to be referring to as Ghosts are actually denizens of the Infinite Realms, the space in between every world and afterlife. Some of the beings there were once people who died but many aren’t. They’re also known to be very powerful and quite violent though thankfully not particularly interested in the living. The fact that the Government is apparently messing with something like this is very bad news.
“Constantine and I have been keeping half an eye on the situation in Amity Park but they had their own pair of Heroes, Phantom and Red Huntress, who seemed to have the situation well under control so we weren’t all that worried about it. We weren’t tracking the more human elements of the GIW and the Fentons,” She bit her lip and thought for a moment.
“When Tim sent me that website and I was made aware of those, that changed things. What’s worse is the photo the Fentons’ have of their family. Their son… we knew Phantom looked young but ghosts often stay at a younger age than they really are, with how powerful he was we assumed he was Old. But he looks exactly like the Fenton’s son. Did they not notice he was dead or…” She looked around at their faces, apparently getting her answer from their expressions.
“There have been rumours for a long time about a very rare and powerful sort of living dead, humans soaked in the pure energy of the infinite realms resulting in a still living ancient. It’s so rare that people usually think it’s a fairy tale but with the work Phantom’s parents do it makes a sick sort of sense. And what it means is that that boy you have stashed away is basically a baby God and we all have to be very careful.”
There was a heavy silence as they all processed what she was saying. “Are you… sure?” Tim asked, uncertainly.
“I won’t be till I meet him, but I’m as sure as I can be without that at the moment,” she said firmly.
Tim sighed and pulled out his phone. “Cas is with him, I’ll text her to see if she’s up to meeting you. If he’s that powerful we don’t want to push him right?” He asked as he typed out a text to Cas.
“Yes. Like I said he’s been acting as a hero in Amity, he seems like a good kid but I have no doubt in my mind if he’s pushed too far we could have a truly apocalyptic situation on our hands,” She said which made Tim swallow thickly.
His phone dinged and he checked it. “Danny is willing to meet you but he’s really tired so go easy on him and don’t stay long,” Tim relayed her message.
“Alright that’s fine, thank you. Show me the way please,” She requested.
Bruce took over, leaving the way. “We don’t want to overwhelm him, I think only I and Zatana should go in, with Cas still there since he seems to feel safe with her,” Bruce informed his children.
“Alright, just tell us everything soon!” Dick demanded and Bruce’s lips twitched up in just the suggestion of a smile as he nodded to them.
He took off his cowl, he wasn’t in his full uniform anyway and he didn’t want to scare Danny. Besides if he had been a hero even if he clocked Bruce he would understand.
“Hello Danny, it’s a pleasure to meet you, I’m Zatana,” She introduced herself s she followed Bruce in. She would have offered her hand to shake but Danny was half hiding behind Cas sitting on the bed.
“It’s nice to meet you too. What’s with the outfit?” He asked curiously which made her laugh.
“I’m a hero, one of the less known ones. I’m part of Justice League Dark which is their supernatural division along with Constantine and Deadman and a few others. He’s a ghost, but I assure you the government hasn’t been giving him any trouble, probably because they knew they wouldn’t get away with it.”
“So I’m just lucky then,” Danny said with a bitter curl to his lips.
“As a hero, I want to ask, are you Phantom?” She asked rather bluntly.
Bruce shivered as the temperature in the room suddenly dropped a few degrees and Danny’s eyes started to swirl with green as he glared at Zatana who managed to barely react. Batman noticed how her back tensed a bit but it was barely there. “You know?” Danny demanded. “You knew about what was going on in Amity and you didn’t help?!”
“I’m very sorry Danny,” She said genuinely. “We knew something was going on, but we didn’t look closely enough. We thought that you were an older ghost just of someone who died young because of your strength, and it looked like things were under control. Normally our involvement wouldn’t have been appreciated, intruding on someone’s haunt, so we didn’t look any closer. I am so sorry we overlooked you but we’re going to make up for it now I promise.
“I’ve checked and reinforced the wards on the house so nothing should be able to come in uninvited, and I’m going to contact the rest of the JLD. We’re going to go to Amity, we’ll figure this out and deal with it I promise.”
The temperature in the room slowly went back up, Danny was still upset, but he didn’t seem like he was about to snap anymore. While Zatana had been talking Cas had started gently rubbing Danny’s back and that seemed to be helping too. After a moment Danny looked up again and nodded, accepting the help.
“The veil must be very thin there, to let so many ghosts through?” Zatana probed gently.
“It is, but more than that two years ago my parents succeeded in building a portal to what they call the Ghost Zone. This kinda green world of floating islands.
“A portal,” Zatana said flatly, blinking rapidly. “To the Infinite Realms?”
“Ah is that what it’s really called? Ya probably? That’s how everyone’s been getting through. How I got my powers too, the ghosts call me a halfa, but I’m not the only one. Vlad’s one too.”
Batman heard Zatana mutter “Two?” softly, baffled and alarmed but she nodded. Bruce filed that information away too, it seemed Vlad was even more of a threat then he’d first appeared to be.
“Alright, I’ll get as many of the JLD together as I can and we’ll head to Amity. We’ll shut down the portal and deal with this.” She said determinedly.
From the look on Danny’s face he didn’t really believe her, but he nodded again and leaned against Cas. “Good luck I suppose,” he muttered and sighed, rubbing his face.
“Just… tell me if you get in over your heads okay, I’m used to dealing with all this stuff.” God he sounded so tired, the poor kid.
“I will, but don’t worry about us, just take care of yourself okay? This is a good place to be, I promise you won’t have to be alone anymore.” Zatana assured him. She probably had more questions, but it was very obvious that Danny was getting tired.
“Bruce is good dad,” Cas chimed in, speaking up for the first time. It embarrassed Bruce a little but he smiled at them and nodded a little.
“Thank you,” Danny said, his shoulder slumped and his back curled. “Can I go to bed now?”
“Of course Chum,” Bruce agreed, starting to shoo Zatana out of the bedroom with Cas on their heels. When they closed the door behind them Bruce heard the lock click quietly closed behind them. He really hoped that Danny would feel safe enough to sleep well.

Desperate Villain Danny AU
(this is a 17 yr old danny)
It started out slowly.
First, a few of Danny's less active Rouges stopped showing up at all. He didn't really notice, and just assumed that they had finally had their Fill of their Obsession for a while and would simmer down for a bit.
Then, some more of his Rouges stopped showing up. No big deal, but he is getting a little concerned for them. They had definitely not had their fill of their Obsessions yet, why did they stop?
Then, the worst started happen. All of his actual Ghost Friends start to disappear. Ember, Kitty, Johnny, even Amorpho, they all start to not show up at all in the Living World.
He goes looking for them in Realms, but he can't find any of them whatsoever. He tries asking around, but everybody else noticed the disappearances much earlier than him and began to hide away from whatever was taking all of the strong Ghosts. He can't find anybody, and the ones he does find won't tell him anything (or don't know themselves)
It takes weeks of searching, but eventually he gets his answer.
The GIW show up in Amity again after a period of absolutely no activity. They have stepped up their operations HARD. Advanced Ghost Hunting Equipment, Much more Competent Agents, and most worrying of all, they seem to know that Phantom is friends with Sam, Tucker, and Danny Fenton.
The GIW comes to his house for a Meeting with his parents, where he overhears them offering his parents a position in their Organization as Head Scientists. While there they also manage to plant Bugs in Danny's room somehow. Although he finds them quickly enough and destroys them.
And then, one night during dinner while his parents are ranting about the GIWs Labs, they mention something that cinches it for Danny.
"And today we even got to Dissect one of the Spooks! It was that Mind Controlly one, you know the one with the blue firey hair stuff that sang a bunch! We're going back tomorrow to continue our Study, this time we'll see how long it'll pretend to experience pain before it decides to give up on tricking us!"
That night, Danny packed up all his things, destroyed the Ghost Portal alongside everything else in his parents Lab, and left his house.
He tracked down the GIW Base, saved Ember from her Cell, and decimated the surrounding Area. No survivors, none of the research is preserved, and he left the Site Director alive to question him.
Turns out, the GIW had managed to Reverse Engineer the Ghost Portal from that brief period of time where they had taken control of Fenton Works. They had been using their own Portal to kidnap any Ghost they could get their hands on. Using the research from those subjects, they perfected their Ghost Hunting Tech and started going after the bigger fish.
"But good luck finding it, Ecto Scum! The Portals location was hidden to everybody, even me!" He said.
"Where are the others!" Danny cried. He was losing control of his appearance by this point. After seeing what they had done to Ember, he was too angry to maintain his Humanoid Form successfully. Even now, with most of his control, he could hear the Static in the air around him, and see the Glitching of his hands as they clenched this Monsters clothes.
"Scattered!" He said with a crazed laugh, "We knew we couldn't contain all of them, so we send them to all of our sites across the Country! You'll never find them!"
Without another word, Danny plowed his arm through the man's chest.
He turned around, picking up Embers weakened Body, before beginning his long flight to Wisconsin. Vlad still owed him a few Favors after all, and honestly his mentorship offers seemed VERY Tempting right now.
(Why reject him if you don't care about keeping your dad alive anymore?)
...
The JLA had recently received a distress signal from somewhere in the middle of some random Forest in Illinois, but when they got to the location, all they found was a crater filled with the ruins of some kind of Military Base, and so so many Bodies.
They had managed to figure out that this was a Government Site owned by an organization called the GIW. A Paranormal Investigation Wing of the Government focused on the study and capture of Supernatural Beings called Ecto-Entities, otherwise referred to as Ghosts.
As it turns out, an Ecto-Entity that had been terrorizing the local town for a few years now had made a drastic change in normal behavior and had attacked the GIW Base that had been posted there.
They would have destroyed it years ago, but this one was unnaturally powerful. It had eluded their capture and terrorized the Town for years, but they had too much pride to contact the JLA and admit that they needed help. And honestly until now, they didn't really need it. The Entity had been entirely confined to the singular town, and had not strayed from that behavioral Pattern in the 3 years since it's inital sighting. They had made the difficult choice to leave it there, sacrificing one town in exchange for the rest of the country.
But now they did need their help. This Entity, this Phantom, was one of the most powerful beings that had ever recorded, maybe even The Most Powerful. The fact that it had left the Secluded town it usually frequented meant that it was loose to wreak havoc across the rest of the world.
The JLA Needed to Find this thing, and Fast.
