How to Meditate Properly: A Simple Guide for Beginners
Meditation is a powerful tool to calm your mind, reduce stress, and improve your overall mental and emotional well-being. But for many beginners, the idea of meditation can feel intimidating or confusing. The good news? Learning how to meditate properly doesn’t require fancy equipment or spiritual knowledge—just a quiet space, a few minutes, and a willingness to be present.

1. Find a Quiet Space
Start by choosing a calm and peaceful environment. It doesn’t have to be completely silent, but it should be free from major distractions. You can sit on a chair, the floor, or even lie down if that feels better—just keep your spine straight and your body relaxed.
2. Set a Time Limit
If you're new to meditation, begin with just 5–10 minutes a day. As you get more comfortable, you can gradually increase the time to 15, 20, or even 30 minutes. Setting a timer ensures you stay focused and don’t keep checking the clock.
3. Focus on Your Breath
Close your eyes gently and bring your attention to your breath. Inhale slowly through your nose, letting your lungs fill completely, and then exhale slowly through your mouth. Feel the rise and fall of your chest or the sensation of air passing through your nostrils. This simple act of observing your breath brings your attention to the present moment.
4. Let Thoughts Pass Naturally
As you meditate, your mind will wander—and that’s completely normal. When thoughts come, don’t try to fight or judge them. Acknowledge them, and then gently bring your focus back to your breath. The key to meditating properly is not to stop thinking but to stop getting caught up in your thoughts.
5. Try a Guided Meditation
If sitting in silence feels challenging, try using a guided meditation. There are plenty of free apps and videos that offer step-by-step instructions. These can help you stay focused and learn different meditation techniques like body scan, loving-kindness, or mindfulness.
6. Practice Daily
Consistency is the key to proper meditation. Set a specific time each day—morning, evening, or even during your lunch break—and make it a habit. Even five minutes of daily meditation can have noticeable benefits on your stress levels, concentration, and emotional clarity.
7. Be Patient with Yourself
Don’t expect instant results. Meditation is a practice, not a performance. Over time, with regular practice, you’ll notice that you’re more calm, focused, and centered—even outside your meditation sessions.

zoro:
he notices that he has no balance what so ever, he’s used to a heavier body built on muscle
his vision feels normal though, sanji has had his bangs cover one of his eyes forever so it’s not unlike when he lost his own eye
he can distinctly feel too much, he feels how the dust and dirt sticks to him in a way he can’t shake, faint crawling of ghost bugs on his body and he takes more showers then he likes to admit
when he wakes up if he doesn’t eat right away he gets sick- a repercussion to sanji s starvation
strangely when he picks up a sword when sanji isn’t looking it feels familiar- not like his intense muscle memory but that sanji knows how to use a sword above any class beginner
he cant not keep still, if he stays still too long he can feel the phantom aches in his body, the overstimulation of dirt
he ends up overextending by accident a lot, it’s funny at first because how flexible he is- but he’s not used to having to control the small joints so not to hurt himself (que him dislocating something because no, your body can’t just stretch like that unless you do it properly)
he notices he has a small appetite but if he doesn’t eat when needed he will get sick very quickly (ah that’s why sanji always makes excuses to have snacks for the ladies and everyone)
he gets trapped once, it’s nothing unlike he’s used to. but the walls, the tight space, this body knows this feeling and it just gives out on him
when he gets ready for bed he is always baffled why sanji sleeps with his shoes on. little did he know how nasty and brutal sanjis feet ended up (ballet feet)
why can’t he turn off his observation haki?
constant need to feel physical touch but also being repulsed by it when it happens
turns out the cook does in fact just have constant nose bleeds and if he gets too emotional or riled up it just happens. this is a awkward moment when some lady tells the crew her husband just dies and zoros nose starts bleeding
sanji:
he cant see his toes (tiddies too big)
his spacial awareness is terrible he keeps bumping into things
he has intense head splitting migranes that only a nap could help (hmmm thriller bark…) and maybe a drink
a need to work out, to sweat out toxins from his body
accidentally breaks too many things since it’s just sheer force of strength
he gets cramps way too much and can barely do a simple stretch
in battle he can’t help but notice the slight increase in heartbeat- he thinks originally it’s just cuz of adrenaline but he knows that feeling. and this one is fear, every battle no matter how strong he is in this body feels fear every moment- not for himself but those around him
he has to check on everyone no matter what- it’s weird because he does that too but this is more of a subtle pull to do it, a slow meditation of going through each member to make sure they are ok
always being touched by luffy and others to be buddy buddy, he doesn’t have much to cover him and the warmth is unlike something he’s felt in so long (usually one to cover up because he can just feel too much)
he is still a great chef but only in food prep. his hands are too clumsy for much else, and his body is bigger when trying to move in the kitchen
on top of cramps, he keeps pulling muscles (seriously does he never stretch this body?)
he also gets tired quicker- endurance isn’t as lasting when this body focuses on attacks that count on brute force
he cant feel his torso, turns out mihawk really made sure zoro remember by cutting off the nerves

tips for tired hellenic polytheists
new or old
when first researching where to start, it’s very overwhelming with everything you need to do. autism and chronic illness were and still are a major hindrance to everything i do, worship included, not to mention i am still worshipping in secrecy. i was put off from worshipping for a year or so because of this. it doesn’t have to be so daunting, the gods aren’t here to judge how efficient you are in your worship.
starting with altars, you don’t need one, especially not a big elaborate one. they’re gorgeous and one day i aspire to have one, but that’s not ideal or even possible at the moment. if you plan on giving libations you can have a small cup or glass to hold the offering and sit it next to you or in any empty space until you’re ready to discard. same with food items, a small platter works. it doesn’t have to be a dedicated space, they understand your circumstances.
another thing i struggled with was knowing which god or gods to worship. you don’t have to wait for a god to call to you. pray to who you want and who makes you feel comfort and happiness to think about. the gods aren’t going to turn you away. you can start with more than one too. there’s no ‘beginner’ gods, just who you want to start with!
giving offerings doesn’t have to be so complex, especially if you’re worshipping in secret. a big one i do is offer a portion of my food to the gods while i wait for it to cool or find a video to watch. i tell them i’ll eat after and the first bites goes to them. they know if you have limitations, they know i can’t give them food and let it sit and afford to not eat it myself and that’s okay. i also buy a lot of trinkets from various places, if it reminds me of the gods they get to keep it and when i look at it i’ll whisper a small hello.
devotional acts are easiest for me, it’s things i’m already doing or should be doing. taking my meditation/listening to music in honor of apollo. cooking/spending time with family in honor of hestia. watching ocean related videos for poseidon. if it pertains to the gods, devote the act to them and it keeps me on top of things i need to do if i know i devoted it to the gods.
this may be my most controversial section, i don’t do khernips! if you do, more power to you of course. i just don’t have the means, and don’t see much reason for that to stop me from worshipping. i will wash my hands with soap and water before giving an offering, but for regular prayer of just saying hi or talking about my day with the gods, which i usually do in bed or while out and about, i don’t worry about it. they know im human, they aren’t going to shut me down or out for being such. this stopped me for awhile, i couldn’t make khernips so of course i couldn’t worship but truthfully the gods are understanding. even somedays when im too tired, depressed or sick to do anything, i used to feel bad for not being my cleanest while talking to the gods but if i can’t pray when im at such a low point, when can i?
the gods aren’t going to be disrespected or angry at you for praying or offering whilst you’re on your period. yes, i’ve seen that debated. just be clean on human standards, when you can, and they will understand. they’re old and wise, they’ve seen it all.
i’m just rambling at this point so i’ll wrap up soon! coming from christianity, it’s hard to not fear the gods, i get it and most others do too. religious trauma is hard to overstep, if it’s something you struggle with the gods won’t mind if you have to do a few things differently. good luck on your journey, whether new or just continuing. i hope my yapping helped with anything. your faith is personal to you, don’t let others push you away from it. be kind to each other and yourself.

Do you have any advice on how to induce pure consciousness for folks who struggle to relax through meditation? I would like to experience it for the peaceful feeling it’s known for and ideally to manifest a couple things.
I’ve been making attempts almost every night for over 2 years using methods I find here on Tumblr but I haven’t experienced it. Honestly I feel very disheartened. I’ve tried dozens of methods across YouTube and Reddit as well :’) Silva method, alpha state method, you name it… I’ve likely trialed it. It should be easy surely? Like the void isn’t a separate thing it’s inside uş, so I genuinely cannot figure out if I’m doing something wrong and it makes me wonder if the void is even real

i don't know if you believe in LOA/EIYPO, but if you do, this could be a part of the reason you're failing. if you assume to be/identify as someone who struggles, then you will struggle. a few ways i get around this are:
whenever i see someone saying they're struggling with x (manifesting, shifting, inducing the void/pure consciousness), i think to myself "wow, that must suck. couldn't be me, though" even if i've been struggling. deny deny deny. you're a master at whatever you want to do, no matter the circumstance. fake it 'till you make it.
reaffirm to yourself that you will induce the void/pure consciousness, and that it's easy. trust that it will happen, because you said it will. channel your inner nepo baby; i see it, i like it, i want it, i got it. reality conforms to your standards, not the other way around.
now onto the main course...
you don't have to be relaxed to enter the void, per se. in my experience, the void is more about focus — or rather, lack of it. by focusing on one thing, you drown out everything else; vision, hearing, touch, and eventually your body and the world entirely.
is the void usually relaxing? yes, absolutely. but being relaxed is not a requirement for entering the void. the void induces relaxation, not the other way around.
when i induce the void, i lay in bed comfortably, eyes closed and hair tied. for me, this is under a weighted blanket and in a starfish position. i know starfish position has a bad rep, but it works for me. when i feel my body touching itself (hair touching my neck, thighs touching, fingers touching, arms touching my legs, etcetera) it grounds me in reality, which is the exact opposite of what we're trying to do. you could definitely use subliminals or background music/white noise, but in my experience it just keeps me grounded. i recommend keeping things as quiet and unnoteworthy as possible, but again, things like the void are extremely subjective, so do what works for you. then i usually alternate between a few things:
counting to/from 30, affirming and deciding that when i finish counting, i'll successfully be in the void.
^ this alone almost always gets me into the void, which is signalled by not feeling my limbs (and eventually my entire body). if it somehow doesn't work, i'll focus on focusing.
the difference between meditating and the void is that while meditating grounds you in your body, the void releases you from it. so don't focus on your breathing, don't focus on feeling your environment. focus on what you want, on the numbers you're counting, on your affirmations.
and allow me to remind you that methods are unnecessary. you are the key that unlocks pure consciousness, and keys don't need anything but themselves. if methods work, it's because you assume they do. yes, some methods will work better than others, but that's because of the person using the method, not the method itself. trust yourself, trust what you're doing, and it'll work.
this post got really long really fast, but i hope it helps! i wanted to cover all the bases and make sure i didn't miss anything, so don't mind me including the "beginner" stuff; you're not a beginner, i'm just a paranoid bleeding heart lol. all the best of luck on your journey :)

How do I go to my reality
I have been practicing shifting since 2018 and have been to different Realities.
Usually when I say this people tend to ask me
"What methods did you use?"
And I believe that this is the biggest mistake of the majority Depend on methods

When I was a beginner there were no methods or anything like that, most people just tried to do it at their own risk.
Attention: this does not mean that I have never used methods, but most of the times when I went to another reality I did not use methods
"But how can I go without any method?" It's simple, you are already in your desired reality
The people in your desired reality are not waiting for you, because you are already there!!
For years I have practiced the same custom before going to my Desired Reality.
I stay calm, lie in my bed and think "I am in ** (my desired reality) And when I open my eyes I'm there
I never needed meditation, I just needed to be aware that I can do this simply by closing my eyes and opening them Believe in yourself please you won't regret it.

Hey, I’m really sorry to dump this onto you. I really apologize. I don’t know who to talk about this anymore.
I’m 26. Struggling with the void state. I basically messed up my entire life and career and I only found out of the void state like 8 months ago. But I find myself getting so frustrated.
I know it’s easy and it’s basically us. But I can’t seem to grasp this and achieve it. Do you have any tips about this please?
hiya, you really don’t need to apologize! I totally get you and it can take some pressure off when you talk out your worries;
I understand where your frustration comes from, it took me 4 years to finally get any results in my journey, I was just so desperate to get out of here I kept persevering even when I felt like giving up
I don’t know if you want to use the void state to shift or manifest something here but let me tell you something!!
even if it takes you 10 years to get your desires, after you get them, those years will feel so insignificant and short lived compared to the life you live after
why does it matter you messed up your life and career when you can fix everything overnight? the 3D be damned, it’s so irrelevant I literally just laugh when I think how powerless it is compared to me or you
I suggest you take a step back and relax. find the source of your frustrations and address it. treat everything with indifference and keep persisting. even with not entering the void yet, you can manifest a better life here and now. when something negative comes my way i manifest it away immediately, I don’t stay sad or stressed for more than 10 minutes. even if I fail entering the void or shifting, I remind myself I have all the time in the world to achieve it
entertaining the void is very easy: you just need an alternate state of consciousness (hypnogogia, lucid dreaming, sats etc) and intention. you don’t even need to have a positive mindset or fully believe it. if you’ve read my post on how to I entered the void, I mentioned how I didn’t think I can enter the void without doing yoga nidra then entered it a few minutes later because I simply wanted to get into the void
your thoughts create your reality. just state what you want, keep persisting and watch how your desires come to you
repetition and persistence are the keys; you don't have to fully believe the things you want to manifest, you just have to persist with the new thought
if you desire something, just immerse yourself in the idea that it's already yours in your imagination. affirm it, feel it, and don't let the current reality bother you. focus on your imagined reality (4D), persist in it, and over time, your outer reality (3D) will align with what you've imagined. that's when your desires come to life
here is some advice I can give regarding the void and manifesting, but I’ll also link some posts I hope you’ll find useful:
—the void state is nothing special, it’s just a deep meditative state just like when you zoom out in class and can’t hear, see or feel anything
—meditate; find a meditation you find comfortable doing and do it any time you can (I suggest doing it at least one time per day, especially in the morning). I like doing wim hof breathing method and listening to white, pink and brown noise. you can also use guided meditations on youtube. meditation can help you also release stress
—affirm daily for your desires. even if you get negative thoughts, ignore them and continue affirming
—be delusion regarding your desires. even if it feels icky at the beginning, keep on persisting
—if you can lucid dream use it to get into the void. it’s so easy and quick

Hello Alli 🌼
I have many DR's i want to experience and i was wondering how you use LOA for shifting. Do you just decide which DR and then imagine yourself in it, knowing you shifted there? And then shift automatically?
Or did you already assume you shift whenever you want? Like being a master shifter? And then doing your 'method'? I am a beginner in LOA and just want to read your opinion. I often find myself being hyper focused on my choosen DR for days, then switch to another life i want to experience (ADHD).

Thank you for your question, so where i use LOA in shifting is basically that i assume that shifting is super easy and that i always shift whenever i want. I affirm through-out the the day when i feel like shifting that night or whatever time of the day.
I sometomes use a method sometimes not, sometimes i just go to bed and affirm that i am in my DR right now and that i have shifted. Or i do a meditation to clear my mind and calm myself down whenever i had a busy day and then affirm.
I also have multiple DR's and sometimes have trouble for where i want to shift. Basically what i do then is i just let my higher-self decide. I do a shifting method or a guided meditation with quiestions (Alunir on youtube has amazing guided meditations). And when the questions come i jjust ficus in what my higher-self says. Let's say one of the questions is: what is your DR like? I would think and tune in with my higher self to what DR we're shifting tonight.

So as seen on my last post I have had a really rough couple of days (weeks), so bad that I'm not going to school tomorrow. So I'm taking this as an opportunity to reset and seriously get it together.

Wake up at 9:30 - I'm setting an alarm since I don't think I should stay in bed too long due to having have been in bed almost all day today and this isn't too early or too late either
Meditate - I'm going to be following Lavandaire´s 5 Minute Guided Morning Meditation for Positive Energy
Stretch - I'm going to do OppServe's 5min Stretch for a Fit Body, Nice Posture, Body reShaping: A Beginner Routine. WARM UP/ COOL DOWN
Eat a nutrious breakfast

I'll be going to the gym and be there for around 1h and 30mins since that's what I usually do. I have a very clear routine that's been helping me recently that involves body machines (idk how to say it in english 😭 the machines with weight and stuff), cardio and a simple youtube workout

I'm going to take a body shower and then do some intense skincare since I have a slight breakout

so to build a healthy routine and schedule for urself. doing so builds discipline. im gonna give u some healthy habits, a morning and evening routine, and resources for those things. a good place to start tho is making a weekly agenda that changes with the week, something to switch things up every week. just make one 💗💗💗

♡ moving ur body/pilates - i personally do pilates and i recommend it to literally everybody. but the basic idea is to move around (and that does not mean pacing in ur bedroom) i mean get ur blood flowing and get moving. it doesn’t have to be pilates it can be running, a sport, dancing, yoga etc

♡ get a hobby - some hobby recommendations: if u are good at writing try poetry, try teaching urself how to draw or paint or sculpt, learn how to dance, learn how to play an instrument, learn a sport, learn languages, become a good cook, write stories, start a blog, learn to sew or crotchet, learn tech, read lots of books, watch/listen to lots of podcasts. literally just get busy
♡ meditating and journaling - this is so good not only for ur mental health but it can also improve focus and keep u grounded. keep a journal or start meditating every day

♡ self care - i LOVE self care. literally practice self care every single day. take care of ur nails, skin, hair, lashes EVERYTHING. be super intentional with ur self care bcuz it tells our brains that we are worthy of effort and it’ll LITERALLY make u feel like a princess.
♡ manifesting - you mentioned that u wanted to do some revision so something that i recommend for revising is using SATS. or state akin to sleep. once ur in state akin to sleep go back in ur mind and revise whatever u want. or just do SATS before bed every night. this is such a powerful manifesting tool

♡ sleep - aim to get between eight to ten hours of sleep a night. you’ll look better, feel better, and your physical and mental health will just skyrocket

♡ if u get nauseous when u eat breakfast then try eating something light, but if that doesn’t work then listen to ur body and just skip breakfast. if that’s not the case tho eat a balanced breakfast

Hello! I hope it’s okay I’m asking this..
I’m very interested in working with Lord Lucifer (King Asmodeus as well) for a long while now and I do not know how to start. The downside is that I currently don’t have money and a job yet. What’s your advice? I already did some research on them and I don’t know what to do after that.

The great thing is you don’t need any money to start worshipping or working with Lucifer!
If you’ve already put a lot of time into researching and understanding Lucifer, you should start focussing your efforts towards connecting to him. A worshipping relationship may or may not differ from a working relationship depending on the kind of reverence you have for him. When you’ve decided what kind of relationship you want to have with him, the rest will naturally fall into place. Some will encounter Lucifer as a fatherly figure, a godly authority, others will interact with him as a causal friend who aids in spell work, and others will address him as a lover, a brother or mentor. It’s impossible to know what to do with Lucifer before you’ve established what Lucifer is to you.
Because he is such a great guide, he tends to pick up beginners pretty quickly. He’s an extremely popular deity so there are a lot of resources on him and many different ways to connect to him. I personally have a lot of luck listening to, singing, and meditating on his enn. (Renich Tasa Uberaca Biasa Icar Lucifer) Burning his sigil with chamomile and lavender before bed can help to attract him in dreams. If you’re not yet fully capable of interpreting him directly, tools like tarot cards can allow you to have a cohesive conversation without relying entirely on intuition. Chances are with repeated practice, you’ll start to get inclinings towards the certain offerings he may want. Putting those things together in a little space usually evolves into an altar.
It’s important to have a complete understanding of your boundaries when working with any entity, but especially with infernals. It’s not necessarily because Lucifer will try to push your boundaries, but more so that he will make you extremely aware of them if you weren’t already. If you’re uncomfortable with things like blood offerings, sex offerings or sacrifices you should establish that right away. He will be willing to work within your comfort zone.
Depending on the sphere you’re working in (the qliphoth for example), different trials or forms of initiation may be used. Oftentimes, the process of communicating and figuring out the fundamentals of your relationship and contract will act as trials in themselves.
One of the very first acts of worship I started integrating into my craft was the celebration of Venus Day every Friday. Establishing a little time in your routine to recognize him is one of the first steps in devotion! I also suggest writing letters addressed to him which you can burn or keep on his altar.

Connecting with your spirit guides
Hello, before I go on and about the information here, I just want you to know that I am sharing knowledge coming from a book called “The Witches Way”, published by Leanna Greenaway and Shawn Robbins :) It’s particular penchant is mainly Wiccan, but the books purpose it serves is a guide to modern-day witchcraft. I’m here to divulge information for our fellow beginner witches, who are still educating through their practice and journey, just like the majority of the witches that mentors and teaches. Although, this posts purpose is probably not aimed to how to start getting into your spiritual journey, but it could be something you’d want to learn later on. I hope you understand. But of course, I’ll post the essentials about how to start and where to start. Keep on learning little witchlings!! <33
Your guide will never want to frighten you, so it is unlikely that they will suddenly appear before your eyes in the cold light of day. To reach a successful connection, you must be prepared to experience a deeper level of consciousness. It can take a lot of practice to perfect, and only when you are at an advanced state in the meditative process can you begin to see visions.
These will usually occur when you are in the middling stage between sleep and wakefulness or in the moments before you wake up. You might also want to keep a motepad and pen next to your bed, as it is common to be told relevant information in dream sleep.
From Leanna Greenaway/Shawn Robbins, „Over the years and with a lot of practice, I have mastered the art of connection. For me, it’s like looking at a screen, a bit like a video recording. The background is black and the images appear with gold edges. The pictures move like they would in a video and last anywhere between one and three minutes. Prior to the visions, I sometimes hear a ringing sound, a bit like tinnitus but not as annoying. This is when I know my soul is turning into a higher frequency and I have finally connected.”

Items to have nearby
Crystals are very good to dot around the house, as they balance the energies in a room and can also help you to ground yourself. The seven crystals below are good if you want to promote successful meditation. I recommend that you house these stones somewhere in the bedroom. There is no need to spend a fortune on them when purchasing; small, polished versions, or tumble stones, can work just as well as large, more-expensive pieces. The choice is yours.
Angelite , used for summoning guides and angels
Amethyst , a calming stone sed to enhance psychic ability and meditation
Clear quartz , amplifies healing energy; known as the master healing stone
Rose quartz , good for relieving stress and tension; restores the aura by replacing negative energy with positive energy, boosts a live vibration
Black tourmaline , a ground stone that connects the Earth with the human spirit; aligns with chakras
Aventurine , energises the Heart Chakra for wellbeing and emotions
Carnelian , improves concentration during meditation
Mindful meditation
People begin with a series of meditation techniques when first trying to connect to their spirit guides. Before embarking on any spirit communication, it is imperative that you meditate for at least thirty minutes.
Lots of people find it hard to meditate for thirty minutes, but once you get the hang of if, it’s very easy. Those of you who have researched meditation will know there are hundreds of ways to get into a meditative state. There is also a wealth of information online that can help you find the right method for you.
If you choose to perform your meditation during the waking hours, select a crystal and hold it in your hand. If you want to use all of them in your meditation, sit and space the stones in a circle around the base of the chair you’re using or on the floor, should you choose to go without a chair.
If you hope to meditate during your sleeping hours, situate the stone(s) either under the bed or next to wherever you are sleeping. Make sure the house is quiet and sit or lie in the lotus position (sitting with legs crossed and hands on knees) as depicted in some books just make sure that you are cozy, snug, and completely relaxed. People find lying in the fetal position, under the covers, in their bed the best position. You might prefer to lie on your back or sit upright; it’s completely up to you!
First, concentrate on every part of your body, starting with your feet. Relax the feet, focusing on each toe being completely floppy, then work up the body to the ankle, calf muscles, and so fourth. Your aim is to be totally still, allowing yourself to become calm and tranquil. When you get to the area below the waist, hold a pelvic floor exercise for ten seconds, then clench your buttocks for a few seconds and relax. When you get to the top part of your body, raise your shoulders up toward your neck for five seconds before releasing them. You will feel a tingling sensation as they fall back to their usual position. Take your time. By the time you reach your facial muscles, you should be feeling extremely relaxed. Second, breathe steadily, either through your nose or mouth — whichever is most comfortable. Take a deep, slow breath inward and then exhale slowly. Repeat this for a few minutes or until you start to feel weightless. Clear your mind. Behind your closed eyes, focus in the darkness you see. See if you can pick out any shapes or lights.
Ask questions
At this stage, you should be in a meditative state, so now is the time to ask your guides for information. In your mind, ask your guide a series of questions, focusing on each question for a few minutes.
„I would like my guide to visit me. Are you there? Can you show yourself to me?
You might see patterns and shapes behind your eyes or feel a strange sensation of belonging. The experience is different for everyone. If you don’t feel anything, don’t be disheartened. Remember, some guides will not show themselves to you while uou are awake and might wait until a time when you are asleep. They know you better than you know yourself and may think that you are not ready to receive them in a conscious state.
„Please show me your gender. Are you male, female, or nonbinary?”
At this point, you must tune in physically and trust your inner thoughts and instincts. Imagine you are standing in front of a being. Tap into the energies and trust your very first answer.
„can you tell me your name, please?”
It might take several meditations before you receive this answer, but, once again, trust those instincts—you have them for a reason. Allow your imagination to expand. Your guides name may not come quickly or even come to you at all when meditating. You might be given the name a few days later, so look out for signs. If, during the following days, you hear the same name repeatedly, perhaps on TV or the radio, it could be your guide nudging you gently. Alternatively, you might wake up one morning with a clear name in your head.
Once you have your guides name, you are on your way to connecting with them fully. If you are serious about making a connection with your guide, you must meditate every night before going to sleep. People often fall asleep during meditation; this is quite alright. When you arrive at a meditative state, your vibration rises and your energy starts to change and evolve. It does take lots of practice, so never give up. After a while you will be able to slip into this relaxed state quickly and summon your guide as needed.

things i did this week instead of rotting in bed
omg it’s been 1 month since i’m doing this and i love seeing how much i accomplished, specially because my first post about it was when i was in a major depressive phase. lesgoooo!!!
i organized my bedroom. it’s already kinda messy again, but a way better than before
i subscribed to a graphic design community where they display fake clients for us to develop our skills as if it was real ones. i managed to make a logo (classic interest of a beginner in graphic design), uniform and packaging for a spa
i got tired of my white hair and dyed it again. now my hair is black (i’m hotter than ever, i wish i did it before!!)
i worked a lot, as always, and i rewarded my hard work with a sushi night (with myself lol) in my bed watching some silly videos on youtube
i did mindfulness meditation for 20 minutes on wednesday. i need to meditate more asap. it feels so good i think i could get addicted to it lol
there’s a huge promotion at nintendo e-shop and i bought some games. now i’m playing life is strange and life is strange before the storm. if you have a nintendo switch, go check the e-shop!!

What can I do to shift I have been trying for 6 years and nothing has worked. So what can I do to shift.
Hi! It is important to specify that the journey is different for each person and no one other than ourselves can tell us what to do to shift. In any case, without knowing your journey I can't help but give you some advice.
First of all, if you have never done it, I reiterate how important it is and how helpful it can be to reprogram your mindset in your journey. You can find the post where I talk about it here. Reprogramming your mindset can help both beginners and people who have known shifting for a long time.
Another thing that can help a lot is meditation. Many shifters recommend meditating every day even for a few minutes or during your method. You can find guided meditations specifically for shifting on YouTube.
I recommend trying different methods, giving them time to understand if they are right for you (maybe 1 month) and then moving on to the next. It might be a great idea to create your own method based on own preferences. In fact, let's remember that the method doesn't make us shift, but we do it, and therefore being comfortable with the method we use is very important. For example, if someone has difficulty visualizing, they can try other methods that do not include visualization, and above all, those that make them more confident and at ease.
Try to understand if you have any mental blocks. They are often fears caused by misinformation or binding thoughts, but above all self-confidence. Identifying the problem is always the first step to solving it.
Connect to your DR, in any way you want, and remember not to see it as something imaginary or extraordinary, but on par with this reality and all others. The people inside it they are real, not characters. Above all, by scripting we must know that we are not modifying reality, we are only selecting it.
The way we talk to ourselves about shifting influences us on our journey. I stopped saying "I'm going to try to shift" for two years now. In its place I say "tonight I shift". Not believing in what you are doing and dispersing negativity because we don't have faith in ourselves and in our journey only makes things worse.
Relying on others (as you do in the question you asked me) is wrong if we talk about this topic! Only we can influence our journey, and no one else. Nobody can make us shift. But we are the only ones who can commit because it depends only on us.
Informing yourself about shifting is very important, in fact misinformation only complicates our journey and makes us assume totally wrong beliefs.
Finally, the last thing I would advise you is to commit to your journey. We can't lie in bed and wait for something to happen. We are the ones who have to make it happen. If you need a break, take it, then come back stronger than before.
That's all, I hope I have been helpful, remember that if 6 years have passed it means that you have already done a lot in your journey and you can't go back, but only move forward and improve! Good luck shifter!

“Are you sure Ezra’s gonna be okay with this?” Jacen frowned at Sabine as they headed into the cockpit of the New Dawn.
“Rule number one of art as a Mandalorian,” Sabine said. “Never ask. Just do. Unless it’s Hera’s room. Then you ask. Besides, the Dawn needs a little brightening up. No ship should be entirely gray.”
The boy wavered for another second, then grinned. “Okay, cool! Where are we starting?”
“That’s more like it.” Sabine paused, turning in a circle. “That wall,” she said, pointing. “You start there, and I’ll start on the other side.”
“What should I paint?” Jacen asked as she passed him the box full of small finger paint cans she’d bought just for this— it was a good place to start for a beginner.
Pulling out her paint guns, Sabine said, “Whatever you want. If you don’t know, start with a feeling. Or something you know. Just don’t hesitate. When you’re doing graffiti, you need to be confident. Got it?”
Jacen nodded, his eight-year-old face screwed up into a serious expression as he pulled out green and blue paint. “I got it.”
“Good. Let’s get started.”

“Okay,” Hera said, pinching the bridge of her nose. Zeb recognized this expression— she’d worn it about a thousand times while lecturing him and Ezra back in the day. “Run it past me one more time. How in the name of the Force did you break your arm, Jacen?”
Wincing, Zeb said, “It was an accident, I swear.”
“It was!” Jacen agreed earnestly, struggling to push himself upright in the hospital bed and wincing slightly. Hera pressed her lips into a straight line— never a good sign.
“Why don’t you start from the beginning?” Kanan offered from next to Hera. His expression was serene, and he brushed a gentle palm against Hera’s arm, which seemed to calm her a little bit.
“Right,” Zeb said. “So, I was talking to the kid about some of the old sports they had back on Lasan.”
“And there was this one where the greatest warriors would jump from rock spire to rock spire, show off their climbing skills,” Jacen said, his eyes gleaming. “So I asked Uncle Zeb to show me—”
“—and he asked to try it out—”
“—and I fell,” Jacen concluded.
Throwing her hands in the air, Hera said, “And you didn’t even think about the fact that Jacen could get hurt doing that?”
“Well, Lasat cubs usually didn’t,” Zeb offered. “I guess I forgot that humans have more fragile bones. No offense.”
Kanan let out a choking noise that Zeb immediately knew was a snort of laughter, and hastily disguised it as a cough. Hera shot him a sideways glare, but her expression softened a few seconds later as she sighed.
“Thank you for trying to teach Jacen, but you do need to be careful. Next time, maybe start with something a little easier? Or make sure Kanan or Ezra are there to catch him?”
“Absolutely,” Zeb agreed.
As Hera turned to talk to the approaching doctor, Jacen leaned towards Zeb. “Can we try it again when my arm gets better?” he whispered.
“Only if you get better at not falling,” Zeb whispered back. “I don’t want your parents to skin me alive.”
“Deal!”
3. Kanan
“Hey, Dad?”
Kanan lifted his head, pulled out of his meditation trance by his son’s voice. Tracking him to the doorway to his and Hera’s room, he waved for him to come in as he said, “What’s going on, kiddo?”
He heard Jacen move into the room and drop down into a similar posture in front of him. “I’m doing this school project— we’re doing family trees,” he explained. “And I need your help.”
Kanan chuckled. “With this family, I’m not surprised. Where’d you get tripped up? Miss an aunt or uncle?”
“Nah,” Jacen said, his matching grin clear in his voice. “Grandparents, actually. I got Grandpa Cham and Grandma Eleni on Mom’s side, but I don’t really know any on your side.”
Nodding thoughtfully, Kanan said, “Well, you and I are in the same boat there, actually. I never knew my biological parents.”
“Okay— so should I just leave it blank?”
Kanan frowned, stroking his beard. “You could,” he said slowly, turning the question over in his mind. It might have been easier just to leave it that way. But the point of these family trees— he assumed— were that the kids didn’t forget where and who they’d come from. The people who’d shaped their lives before those lives had even really begun. “Let me show you something,” he told Jacen, getting to his feet.
He knew the layout of the room well by this time, and it was a matter of ease to step over to the shelf nearby and pull down one of the holodisks stacked there. Turning it on, he let it rest in his palm and held it out to Jacen. “What do you see?”
“Um, two people— a man and a woman. Looks like they’re posing for a picture,” Jacen said. “The woman has braids, and she’s laughing. The guy’s more serious, but he’s smiling a little. He’s taller and bald, looks like he has darker skin than the woman.” He paused, then said, “They’re both wearing Jedi robes. Are these—”
“The woman is my master, Depa Billaba,” Kanan said, turning off the holodisk. “And the man is her master, Mace Windu. A friend recovered this holo for me a year or two ago. It’s the only thing I have left of them.” Reaching out, he pressed it into Jacen’s hand. “They are as close to family as I ever had.”
Jacen was silent for a moment, and Kanan waited, knowing his son was thinking. “Thanks for showing me, Dad,” he finally said.
“Any time, kiddo.”
4. Ezra
“Why are we going here again?”
Ezra glanced at Jacen, who was bouncing on his heels with impatience. “I thought you said we were going to do Jedi stuff,” the fifteen year old pointed out.
“We are going to,” Ezra said truthfully. “We’re just making a stop first.” Looking both ways, he started across the street, keeping one eye on Jacen as he followed him. The kid had finally outgrown his habit of forgetting to look before he leapt— mostly. At the very least, he looked both ways before he crossed the street now.
He was still willing to throw himself headfirst into situations, though, not unlike both of his parents. That included Jedi training, and Ezra knew that he should be just as excited as Jacen was for this.
And he was, really. He was just also pretty sure Kanan had chosen wrong, and that his old master should be training Jacen himself.
But that wasn’t the point. Right now wasn’t actually about that. Right now was about visiting somewhere he hadn’t been since he’d gotten back from the Unknown Regions, and showing Jacen a new piece of Lothal.
Turning a corner, he spotted the old warehouse. Even just the outside looked different than it had in the years during the war— no guards, and the door was wide open.
He looked at Jacen. “Did your mom and dad ever tell you about this place?” When the boy shook his head, Ezra explained, “During the war, this was where the main black market congregated, particularly around Life Day. I used to come here all the time— mainly when I was by myself, but I came with Kanan and the others a couple times.”
Starting towards the entrance, he continued, “But Lothal doesn’t really need a black market any more— so now it’s just a regular one. One of Lothal’s hidden treasures. I thought you should see it.”
They stopped at the entrance together, and Ezra took in the familiar sights. He recognized some faces— the elderly owner of the stall selling woven blankets, the Gotal who pretended not to notice when he’d stolen a few kebabs every now and then— and noticed others missing.
The war had changed everything, but they were putting it back together, slowly but surely.
He looked at Jacen, who was taking in the place with wide eyes. “So. Lunch, then training?”
“Sounds good,” the boy said with a grin.
5. Hera
“And you’re sure you’re ready for this?” Hera checked as she, Kanan, and Jacen headed towards the small building awaiting them.
Her son gave her a grin. “Mom, we’ve talked about this like twenty times now. I’m seventeen— I’m ready. You got your tattoos way younger than this.”
Wincing at the memory of the needle’s sting, Hera said, “I know. That’s why I’m checking. I don’t want you to do it just because someone said you couldn’t, like I did. It was terrifying—”
“And you were like eight,” Jacen pointed out. “Of course that would be terrifying. But trust me— I want to do this. I already got Dad’s looks, and I want to honor your side, too.”
Kanan, who’d been silent thus far, spoke up. “He’s right, Hera. Besides, he’s almost eighteen. Even if you put your foot down, he’d only be delaying it for a couple months.”
Letting out a sigh, Hera said, “I suppose I can’t argue with that.”
“Nope!” Jacen said cheerfully. “Besides, you let Dad get the tattoos.”
“Your father is a full grown man,” Hera said. “And incredibly stubborn, I might add.”
Kanan let out a snort. “I think we all know who the stubborn one is in this relationship, Captain Hera.”
Grabbing the door handle, Jacen said, “Yeah, I know better than to get involved in this argument. Come on— Ivri’s already inside!”
Hera followed his nod to where Jacen’s friend, the half-Mirialan boy with a perpetual smile, was waiting for them next to the Twi’leki tattoo artist. “Alright,” she said reluctantly.
“Go ahead, Jacen,” Kanan told him, catching hold of Hera's arm. “Your mom and I will catch up with you in a minute. Don’t choose anything obscene or too embarrassing while we’re gone, okay?”
Grinning, Jacen said, “I wouldn’t dream of it.”
As he ducked inside, the door swinging shut behind him, Kanan lifted an eyebrow at Hera. “What are the odds of him listening to that?”
“Well he has your genes, so about fifty-fifty.”
“Harsh.” Kanan paused, then said, “You okay about this?”
Unable to hold back a wry smile, Hera said, “You know me well, love. But… yeah, I am. Mostly. It’s just…” she looked through the window where Jacen and his friend were chatting with the Twi’lek. “Our little boy is growing up,” she said with a sigh. “It’s strange.”
“You’re telling me,” Kanan said with a sigh. “At least he’s less likely to shoot himself into the Unknown Regions than the last one is.”
Hera snorted with amusement. “He’d better be, or we’ll be having words.”
“I believe it.” Offering her his arm, Kanan said, “Shall we?”
Taking a deep breath, Hera looped her arm around his. “Okay. Let’s do this.” She let him lead her into the tattoo parlor, trying not to think about just how much her son was growing up.
We’re proud of him, though, she thought with a twinge. And he’s still our son.
+1. Trill
(set a few weeks before the last chapter of Disproving The Love At First Sight Theory)
Jacen sensed it as soon as Trill woke up. Generally speaking, he wasn’t terribly skilled at sensing living beings— not the way his dad or sister were, and definitely not the way Ezra was. His master was one with the living Force in a way Jacen never had been.
But this didn’t seem to be true for Trill, for whatever reason. Jacen could always sense it when she woke up, and could track her pretty easily throughout the ship. It was like he was attuned to her, more than he was to anyone else.
Sometimes he wondered why that was, but since he was currently living in close quarters with not only her, but also the galaxy’s nosiest Kalleran, he decided not to spend too much time on it.
It was about ten minutes after she woke up that she made her way into the New Dawn’s kitchen. Stifling a yawn, she said, “Morning— what’s that smell?”
“Good morning,” Jacen said cheerfully. “Remember that mysterious package I… picked up on Cantonica yesterday?”
Trill arched an eyebrow at him. “You mean the one that you stole from the hotel and smuggled out under your poncho?”
“That’s the one,” Jacen said. “But the people there are corrupt and tried to kill us like four times, so it doesn’t count. Anyways— behold! Our new waffle maker!”
He flourished a hand at the maker, which stood on the counter, emanating the delicious smell of cooking waffles. Trill frowned at it, then directed the expression at Jacen. “You stole a waffle maker?”
“You’re focusing on the wrong thing here,” Jacen told her. “Remember, they tried to kill us. But also, yeah. Now we can have waffles for breakfast!”
Settling at the table, Trill swept her loose hair out of her eyes, and Jacen tried to pretend like his gaze hadn’t followed the movement, and lingered for just a moment. “Okay, I’ll bite. What’s so important about waffles?”
The iron beeped, and Jacen turned towards it. Rolling up his sleeves, he flipped it open and started to remove the waffle with a fork, responding to Trill’s question as he did.
“It’s a family tradition. My dad makes the best waffles in the galaxy— Uncle Zeb makes the second best, tied with me. We always used to eat them whenever my mom would get back from a dangerous mission, or before Ezra and I would leave, or any special occasion like that.” Maneuvering the waffle onto a plate, he slid it towards Trill. “And I guess… I wanted to share that with you. If you’re interested.”
She looked surprised, in that way she always did whenever Jacen said something like this. It was the kind of surprise that made him think maybe, just maybe… she’d stick around.
For a minute, Trill held his gaze, then offered him a smile. “I— I am. Thank you.”
Don’t read into it, Jacen ordered himself, ignoring the way his heart skipped a beat at her smile. Aloud, he said, “Good. Cause I have a feeling Kasmir’s gonna be here soon, and he’ll be hungry. So you’d better get started on that waffle.”
“Will do,” Trill said, hopping up to grab a fork. Turning back to his work, Jacen felt himself grinning. Starting out a day with waffles and Trill? It really couldn’t get much better than that.
