fun things to do INSTEAD of scrolling°❀⋆.ೃ࿔*:・🍈
the point of this post is to help u maybe limit ur phone usage and to give ur time purpose and feel more fulfilled.
learn something new online : start following up with an online course, theres this website (coursera.org) where u can engage in some courses and learn something new. CONTINUOUS LEARNING is probably something that i'd advocate for the most. there r so many things that u can learn online literally dont limit urself, i learned a whole LANGUAGE online. u can learn thru youtube, websites, reading online books, academic journals and articles, my girlblog :) etc
make a video to ur future self : like literally sit in front of ur camera and just chat as if ur chatting to ur future self (this can also double as a manifestation exercise) just TALK to ur future self, its sm fun when u look back and have a conversation with ur past self and to see all the things that u manifested materialized. its a lot of fun fr. this is especially good if ur the kind of person who struggles to see the progression that you've made. looking back on this SHOWS u ur progression.
turn ur phone into a productivity MACHINE : delete apps that make u feel distracted, get rid of old numbers on ur phone, unfollow ppl that give off negative energy/make u distracted. use notion (i love notion with my life) make schedules and to-do lists.
get a hobby : learn something new, start a hobby or continue one that you've had in the past. its genuinely so fulfilling to have something to do. (lately i've been into photography) if u can't find a hobby right at this moment then dedicate ur time and energy into something that'll serve u in the future. for me, i've been putting a lot of my time towards community service bcuz thats something that'll serve me in the future.

How to put your life together and become who you want ✰‧₊˚
How to start planning? ✰✰✰✰✰
Write down your basic daily activities (take a shower, brush your teeth, eat, etc) including how much time you spend on that.
Make a list of activities you HAVE to do, also including the time you spend doing those.
Set clear goals, list them and put them in a priority order and plan how you can achieve them.
Be honest with yourself ✰✰✰✰✰
⋅⟡⋅ You’re not a robot, so be real and honest: can you achieve all your goals working on all of them at once?
⋅⟡⋅ Make sure to don’t expect brilliant results in a short amount time. Sometimes it might happen but remember that these are exceptional moments.
Visualizing your plans ✰✰✰✰✰
After following those steps you can finally make a visual plan of your new routine. You can use a physical planner or a digital one. For those who want a digital one here are some recommendations that might help you (each one works in a very different way, so try some of them and see what works better for you):
Notion has many templates that you can use or create one your own. You can customise all templates but its functions are more focused on productivity than aesthetics. Also, the templates are made to be updated with your new informations, so you wouldn’t have to delete them, just the information in it (depending on the template, because some of them change every week or month so you don’t lose the information or have to delete them manually). You can access it by the app or browser.
Canva can also be accessed by the app or browser. It has many pretty and cute free templates. It’s perfect for those who want something very practical and aesthetically pleasing. You can edit weekly or monthly planners, or just delete them and create a new one in minutes. It’s very intuitive and simple to use.
Pinterest can be accessed by the app or browser. There you can find many template ideas that you can save as an image, but you cannot edit the template on Pinterest. It might help you on having some ideas to base on your own template or to find links of other templates.
Just do it! ✰✰✰✰✰
Now it’s on you to just do it! Make sure to not push yourself too hard and to stay healthy. You can do it!

How to Avoid Lifestyle Inflation … and When to Embrace It
A strange thing happens every time my income increases. My life magically gets… easier, better, and happier.
Getting my very first raise at work made it easier for me to pay off my student loans ahead of schedule. That meant the money I used to spend on student loans could instead be spent on making my life more comfortable. And that meant moving out of the house I rented with six roommates and finally buying decent food.
Getting a job that cut out my daily commute allowed me to spend more time doing things I love instead of impotently cursing the traffic. I could get drinks with friends after work, or go to the climbing gym, both of which cost money. Or, for free, I could stand by the highway yelling “SUCKERS!” at passing commuters at 5:30 p.m. every day!
And getting a new job at almost double my previous salary meant I could afford things I previously thought would take years of saving. Plane tickets to a friend’s destination wedding in Mexico. Drywall for my unfinished basement. Eating at a shmancy restaurant without checking the menu for prices.
If all of this sounds suspiciously like lifestyle inflation, that’s because it is! And yet I feel no guilt over inflating my lifestyle from time to time when my income significantly increases.
This is generally considered a cardinal sin of personal finance. It’s right up there with buying lattes or taking the name of Dave Ramsey in vain. So let’s unpack that.

Watching Wayward Pines for potential ST5 inspo bc the Duffers wrote a couple episodes in s1, and when I got to their second (last) episode and their name crossed the screen, I noticed a visual parallel that might already exist on the show…
Recognize it??
It instantly reminded me of that last shot for the opening of s3, with the landscape peaking out behind the Russian base. But when I went back and actually compared the two, holy shit it’s near identical, and not just the landscape.
I didn’t even remember the helicopter being there on the left, not to mention the pillar-esaue contraption at the center. Like… they’re the same picture.!
With them being credited right at that moment, it’s obvious this was an intentional nod to their previous work.
I just thought it was cool so I wanted to share, but in terms of my watch overall, there is a LOT going on that they could pull from. I’m only halfway through s1, though I’ve heard the show goes downhill in s2 so we’ll see how that goes 😂

If you're constantly procrastinating read this, trust me!
I did A LOT of things today because I had a lot of responsibilities to fulfill and my day isn't over yet. If you have things to do but are procrastinating, this is your time to get things done…now! I don't care if you don't feel motivated. You know what? In fact, nobody cares how you feel or your excuses. People only care about results and if you want results you must do something about it. Being nervous, anxious, and afraid of screwing up isn't going to change the fact that you're sitting there doing nothing. I understand that feeling, but do you think I'll ever let myself stop moving to achieve my goals because of the stupidity of the human body? NO! I can't control how I feel, but I control my actions and I choose to keep moving and running for my dreams, for my goals, for myself. Do it for you. Only you are able to bring true happiness into your life, no one else! Now get up and do whatever you have to do. Nobody cares about your excuses.
