↪ 13. Damian attempts self-reflection

PREV PART trigger warning: medical + physical + emotional neglect, name is officialy fucking done and they'll make it known, Name is no longer hiding that they want to leave, Damian centric chapter, short filler main m.list series m.list
You are about to kill a motherfucker, and that motherfuckers name is Damian. Not only is he following you, he continuously attempts to place trackers and to get your medication to give to Bruce. And after your latest shift, you were done. Robin was now spying on you while you were working, and you are absolutely fucking done.
So when you see him at the dining table you couldn’t contain your anger. “You and I are going to have a talk, privately,” you hiss at him, smacking a bag of broken trackers on the table. “or so help me, and I actually get a fucking restraining order against you.”
This sure as hell got his attention, and he nods and follows you to the kitchen. You need a room that can be trashed, and in the kitchen you have more shit to throw. “You are out of line,” you say, looking at him with a stare that one could describe as threatening, enraged and calculating. “if you do this again I’ll be sure to fuck Robin up the next time he comes to visit me at work.”
You didn’t want to play your cards out, they have no need to know that you know. Of course Duke knows, but he’ll always be the exception.
Damian laughs, he can’t help it. You think you can fuck up Robin? Please, he didn’t know you had a sense of humour. What a delightful surprise.
At least he has enough sense to stop laughing when he felt your stern gaze become a glare. Truly, you aren’t like Bruce a lot, but your stare… your stare is purely Bruce. “Why do you think you being followed by Robin has anything to do with me?” he asks, genuinely curious. He just hopes you won’t put all the clues together, he’s quite relieved with the fact that your pain keeps you oblivious. Unable to use all of your intelligence.
“Nightwing and then Robin, it’s obvious they are in Bruce in pockets,” you say trying to make it seem like you weren’t omitting something. But Damian did notice a slight change in your body language, but he’ll dismiss it for now. “get him to back off, or I will file a formal complaint of stalking against him. Wouldn’t be so good for his already shitty reputation, right?”
Seems like you hit a nerve, Damian looks away ashamed, regretful and at the same time grateful. Good, let him think you’re oblivious, the more he underestimates you the safer you will be. A boy like Damian is even more dangerous than a man like Jason, Damian was raised to kill, but Jason just copied the aggression he learned. And when he lost his joyful nature, he became the monster he is today. You take Damian’s silence as compliance. “Do me a favour and tell Brucie that I will be at Maria’s for the rest of the week,” you say as you turn around, ignoring how he takes a sharp breath. “I don’t want to see your face until I return.”
Damian knows your hyper independent nature is due to their actions, due to what they’ve done to you. But he can’t help but feel bitter, he didn’t know better. He didn’t understand your side, and he wants to be your brother. He always wanted to be your brother.
From the moment you defended Tim he knew that he wanted you to defend him like that, that he wanted you to love him like that. But after Jason’s attack he learned how your family treated you, and he wanted nothing to do with you. Fearful of losing his father’s approval, and you don’t know about their life. Involving you would lead to you being kidnapped and at worst killed.
He knows he could have had a civilian relationship, but after he chastised you for your anger towards Jason he knew he no longer had a chance. He knew, so he didn’t try.
He didn’t try because he didn’t understand.
So now, as you pull away from them instead of them pulling away from you Damian doesn’t know what to do. He wants to be your sibling, he wants the bond you seemed to have with Tim (a bond he now knows doesn’t exist), he wants to be loved by you. And he wants to protect you.
Can’t you let your brother protect you?
You’re the older sibling, shouldn’t you do anything to make your younger siblings happier?
NEXT PART guys, I know this is short, but listen, I wanted this out because I keep having Damian being a gremlin brother thoughts and not in a good way. also I keep seeing one specific username that is such a typical name where I am from that I'm like; shit do I know this person?

I will never get over your bad dad Bruce Wayne posts, they’re so so good. I especially love the one where Dick flinches everytime Bruce raises his hand. If you could please bless us with some bad dad Bruce Wayne and protective batfam/titans/jl/Wilson’s/literally anyone else I’ll be forever in your favor.
it’s so fun to think about the Gotham villains or even Dick’s own villains find in out about the abuse and being pissed. Maybe they spy on him and find out about it. Slade Wilson standing in a room full of the worlds greatest villains: I have put cameras in the bat cave, let us see what secrets the great Batman is hiding!
The entire room watching as Bruce screams at Nightwing and ends up hitting him:
Everyone collectively: What the fuck
Honestly the idea of someone recording/spying on Bruce and Dick privately to mess with him but them being horrified at the results is so delicious. Also do you like any other fandoms or crossovers? (Sorry for the long ask, I just have so many thoughts about them)
Oh anon, you’ve awakened something in me. Because I LOVE the idea of people spying on the batfam for literally any reason, but it just always seems so implausible for the bats not to notice they’re being spied on or that someone’s messed with their security system or whatever? Anyway
Hmmm let me think let me think.
So like. Maybe Dick is like almost-13. He’s still Robin.
And Deathstroke has decided he wants to get dirt on the bats, because Batman did something to piss him off. Or maybe because Robin refused to be his apprentice last time they crossed paths. Idk. Either way, he’s teamed up with some of the other villains because he figured he’d give them a preview and then they can all bid against each other and he’ll give the highest bidder the codes to hack to batcaves security.
It’s Ra’s al Ghul, Black Mask, Two-Face, and Lady Shiva. All excellent choices, all people who don’t like the bats for one reason or another.
They think maybe they’ll get some intel on what the next case the bats work on will be, or what they’re currently working on, or even the kind of training they’re doing so they can better anticipate their moves in the field. Hell, maybe they’ll even take their masks off. Although, most people in the room know who Batman and Robin are behind the masks.
But what they see on the feed is worse than they could have ever imagined. Because it starts so normally, they see Batman training Robin on a set of mats, and every so often the Bat gets a hit in, but it looks normal. It looks like typical training.
Until the Bat hits with full force, and it sends Robin tumbling back. The kid catches himself, flipping back up on his feet, but he wobbles. He’s clearly getting tired, he’s sucking in deep breaths, and a bruise is peeking out from beneath the collar of the shirt he’s wearing, and his left knee buckles when he tries to brace himself for the next blow.
And Batman doesn’t hold back. He keeps hitting, and the words he spews are muffled, not totally caught by the surveillance system, but they can hear it well enough. He’s calling the kid a disappointment. Saying he’s weak, he’s useless, and the real kicker, saying that Robin is fighting like a child. Maybe because he is a child, is a thought that runs across all of their minds.
But then, once Robin is slumped on the floor, blood dripping from his split lip, is when Batman really shocks them. Because he says something so unbelievable, something that they never would have thought would come from Batman’s mouth.
He tells Robin, “You’re still far from your potential. And you know until you reach your full potential, you’ll stay a ward.”
Robin looks so upset, looks heartbroken.
“But - But you said you’d adopt me this time,” Robin stammers. “You said for my birthday-”
That was when I thought you were taking your training more seriously,” Batman barks at him. “You disappointed me, Robin.”
“But - But it’s not about Robin!” the boy shouts, sounding desperate. “It’s - it’s about me!”
“And you’ve disappointed me,” Batman spits. “Again.”
Robin is hyperventilating, he looks so lost and so small and so upset.
“And if that’s all you’re going to do, then you can get out. Now.”
“B?”
“I don’t want you here tonight. Get out of my sight.”
“Wait, B-”
“You can come back once you’ve decided to take your training more seriously.”
They all watch as Batman kicks Robin out. As he kicks out a boy who’s not even a teenager yet. They watch as the kid tries so hard not to cry, as he leaves the batcave while clearly favoring his right side, and they all look around at each other. Because they’ve all come to the same conclusion.
First, they’re going to make sure Robin isn’t bleeding out in an alley somewhere or something. Then, they’re going to go rock Batman’s shit.
Slade finds Robin huddled in an alley not far from Gotham Academy, cleaning blood from his face and holding a still-wrapped ice cream bar to his face. He bought it from a convenience store around the corner, and once Slade convinces him that he’s not going to hurt him, that he’s going to help, Dick admits in a tiny voice that he thought he could use the ice cream bar to ice his split lip, and then once it melted, he could eat it.
It’s a terrible situation, but for some reason, it just totally charms Slade. And finally, after months of pestering Dick to become his apprentice, Dick actually goes with him. Because he’s so upset and he’s so hurt, and Slade is promising him a home and a family and to never ever hit him like how Bruce just did. And for some reason, Dick actually believes him.
Once Slade lets the others know that he has Robin somewhere safe, they lure Batman out into Gotham. And they all just gang up on him. He manages to get away eventually, but not before getting the absolute shit kicked out of him.
#dick grayson#bruce wayne#slade wilson#anon#as for other fandoms/crossovers#i like when Dick is undercover as Neal from White Collar#i'm not big on crossovers in general but if it's a good story then it's fun but i don't really write them? i guess?#i think danny phantom has a lot of potential tho. and tiktok has made me curious about the concept of spiderman being in the batfam somehow

Danny was pissed. He was chilling in the Speedforce, waiting on his dad—the Flash—to show up when he felt something shift around him. He exited the speedforce to find that the timeline had changed again, and he had been written out of the timeline. He technically was a time anomaly now, and didn’t exist. So he talked to Clockwork, a ghost he’d gotten to know extremely well after Danny’s creation.
Danny was a clone of the Flash and Green Lantern(Hal Jordan) as part of an experiment that Lex Luthor had taken prior to cloning Superboy. Lex had wanted to know if the power ring was able to transmit anything genetically (it couldn’t. It was a wearable weapon, not a genetic thing.) but Danny had inherited Flash’s superspeed, so he wasn’t a complete loss. Danny wasn’t sure if he looked more like either man, considering they both wore masks. He had brown hair and green eyes. Beyond that, he tanned well, was tall for his age, and packed on muscle far easier than the Flash did. He hadn’t ever seen either man out of the costume.
After a talk with Clockwork, he decided he was just going to force his way back into his Dad’s life. Both of them, if possible. He arrived years before his creation by mistake, right near the start of the Justice League. By his estimates, the team had only been formed for a year before he’d arrived. It was strange; he both didn’t exist and was from the future. He guessed that it was around nine years before his birth, and since he was technically six months old, he was 9 years in the past. Thinking about this was going to give him a headache.
The Justice League was severely mistrustful of each other. They didn’t go out of their way for teamups, didn’t have weekly meetings, and almost pretended if the other members didn’t exist. The most recluse of them was Batman, of course. If any hero set foot in Gotham, they were booted out before they even got to downtown. Danny highly suspected Batman had the entire city on camera. The situation was weirding him out more than before. What had happened to the team?! He was used to everyone being one big family, and even the sidekicks having their own teams… speaking of sidekicks, why was Robin so small?! Wait a minute, that wasn’t the third Robin that he was used to, that was the first Robin! Baby Nightwing!
Thankfully for him, he still had his costume on this entire time as he zipped around the country, spying on the younger members of the Justice League. It was surreal watching everyone try to capture him, but he wasn’t going to be caught that easily!
Eventually his presence forced the Justice League into another teamup. Batman laid the trap out, and Flash lured him into it. The plan was so beautiful that he didn’t even realize it was a trap until he was caught in it. Green Lantern took off Danny’s mask, and for the first time, he looked at his fathers without a mask. They didn’t make the connection to him right away. It wasn’t until Wonder Woman’s lasso made its way around his wrist that the truth finally came out.
“Who are you?” Wonder Woman asked.
“Oof , hard question—ow ow oww—I’m being honest!” He struggled against the lasso as it started to burn him. “My designation was Dn-y, I go by Danny, though. I’m a clone.”
“Of who?” Batman demanded.
“Flash and Green Lantern.” The lasso was glowing brightly, indicating that he was telling the truth.
“How did you escape?” Flash asked.
He didn’t answer right away. He was trying to think about how to phrase the whole time traveling—timeline erasure thing when the lasso started to burn him again. “Ow ow! Sorry, I’m thinking! Ow! Turn down the settings on that thing, holy shit—okay, okay.” He winced, his words coming out in one breath as he quickly talked, “What do you know about time travel?”
Diana’s eyebrows were rising. “How are you able to resist the lasso for so long?”
“I’m not really resisting it.” He answered, noting the obvious deflect of his last question, “I just-oww—okay! My mind moves too fast for me to put into words sometimes and it makes me stop to think about it, but like, I’m not good at controlling the speed in which I speak all the time—owww make this thing stop burning me! I’m speaking honestly!”
Diana revoked the lasso, and he rubbed his wrist where his costume was starting to singe. He was still trapped in an anti-speedster prison, so it wasn’t exactly like he was going anywhere anyway.
“Why were you asking about time travel?” Batman asked.
“Based on the crickets chirping I heard earlier, that leads me to believe you guys haven’t had any experience in it yet.” He leaned against the wall of the prison, wincing as it shocked him with electricity. “Seriously? How paranoid are you, Batman?” He rubbed his shoulder. “Honestly, I don’t know what I was expecting with you people, but I feel so attacked right now.”
“So we have experience with it in the future?” Superman piped up.
“Yeah?” His tone of voice equated to a ‘duh’ tone. “Why would I ask what you knew if I wasn’t from the future?”
“How far in the future are you from?” Green Lantern asked.
“Nine years, maybe close to ten? Timelines are weird. I’m technically six months old, but at the same time I’m sixteen. Cloning is odd, but I was like, the first clone ever, so I don’t really have a basis for this sort of thing, if you catch my drift.” He shrugged. He seemed like he talked a lot more than the heroes did, but he didn’t know if that was because he was a chatterbox, or because they weren’t comfortable in each other’s presence. Either way, the silence was odd to him.
“How did you end up here?” Batman asked.
“Honestly? I don’t fully know. Don’t give me that look, Diana! I’m telling the truth.” He added quickly as Diana fingered her lasso again. “All I know is one minute, I’m chilling in the Speedforce, and the next, the timeline is changed and I’m nine years too early for my birth. You’d think the timeline would at least have the decency to spit me out in my own year, but nooo, it wanted to—“
“What’s the Speedforce?” Superman interrupted.
He tilted his head at Superman’s question, then turned to the Flash. “How long have you had your powers?”
Flash shifted uncomfortably. “Two years.”
“Oh boy.” Danny’s green eyes widened. “You don’t know anything about them, do you?”
“I do know things!” Flash deflected, “My suit doesn’t catch on fire anymore! I can run up to Mach 2! I can get from either end of the country in thirty minutes!”
He groaned loudly. “Oh no. Oh no.” He chewed on his thumb, trying to recall everything he’d learned about his powers from his Flash. While he hadn’t learned his or Green Lantern’s identity yet, he knew almost everything about their hero personas and a lot of personal information. They were just worried of the Cadmus connection and didn’t want their identity to fall into the wrong hands if they still could see inside of Danny’s head.
“What’s wrong?” Diana asked.
“Okay.” He ran his hands through his brown hair, making it spike up. “Hypothetically—“ he cut himself off as Batman glared at him. “Okay, totally real, but uh, Flash, let’s just say that I’m faster than you right now. A lot faster.”
“How much?” Flash took a step forward, obviously curious.
“From what we can tell, I’ve topped out at Mach nine.” He responded with a dry laugh, “But your speed was still a lot faster than mine. You’d never tell me what it was. I’m still growing though, and I’m getting faster. I’m able to beat my precious time by almost double each time we test. But my situation was complicated, and things were happening, and it was a mess.”
“Like what?” Superman asked.
“World war three. I think?” He rubbed the back of his neck, a gesture that he had picked up from Green Lantern, “Things got complicated. That’s why I was going to wait for…” his eyebrows scrunched together as the last piece of the puzzle clicked into place. “It was you!” He turned to Flash. “You!” He jabbed a finger at the speedster. “You set this up! You set ME up!”
The heroes took fighting stances, but Superman took a step forward, blocking them from Danny. “What are you talking about?”
“Okay okay.” He was trying to calm down his anger, but he had been told by Green Lantern in the past that he had inherited the man’s anger issues. “Let me start at the beginning. This is going to be a long story, you might want to take a seat.”
Nobody moved, but everyone was tense.
“Or not. Okay. So my creation starts with Lex Luthor.” He noticed Superman stiffen. “He used me as his trial, if you will. Once he got a successful attempt at cloning—me—he moved onto his real target. Cloning Superman.” Danny’s green eyes hovered onto Superman’s blue ones. “He was successful.”
“What happened?” Superman’s voice was unnaturally quiet.
“Well, at first, Conner wasn’t showing that he had all the powers of Superman. So Lex tossed him aside and tried again. The second attempt was more successful than the first. But cloning Kryptonian dna was hard, I guess.” He shrugged. “The second clone lacked basic emotions. Empathy, remorse… it made him the perfect little weapon for Lex. But eventually, the clone’s anger and Lex’s greed got to a point of no return. Lex was elected President of the United States and uh…you can probably see where this is going, right? While the fighting hadn’t like…’officially’ started,” He used his fingers to create air quotes around the word ‘officially’, “Things were getting tense. See, we couldn’t take the clone down because Lex had wrote out the Kryptonite deficiency out of his weakness. And the clone had all the strength of Superman and none of his remorse…”
Superman looked pale. “I see.”
“So Flash and I came up with a plan.” He turned back to his father, “We were going to travel into the next dimension for help. From what we could tell, that dimension was full of god-like beings, and one of them actually helped me out earlier! But for a lot of them, they ask for a price for their help. But anyway, Flash and I were going to take our case to the King and plead for help. I was waiting for Flash when the timeline reset and I found out that not only did I not exist, but I was nine years too early.”
“What are you going to do now?” Green Lantern asked.
“Dunno,” His voice dropped as the reality hit him. He wasn’t going home—his home didn’t exist anymore.

summary: luffy has dreams about you and is avoiding you due to them
Have fun reading!
────୨ৎ────
The sun filters thought the cabins porthole, casting a soft, golden hue over the small space. You flutter your eyes open and stretch, feeling the gentle sway of the boat and smelling the faint scent of saltwater, waking you up. You get out of bed and do your usual routine. You open the cabins door to be greeted by the crew.
-"Good morning y/n!" Exclaimed nami, 'Good morning nami!' You said in a yawn.
You see the whole crew, but where's the captain? 'He's probably in his captain seat (Sunny's head).' You walk over to the Sunny's head to not find him there, you only found zoro taking a nap on the floor. 'Should I wake him up?.... Yeah I should, who even takes naps in the morning?' "Zoro!" You yelled and tapped his shoulder.
- "...what?" He muttered still half asleep. "Where's luffy?? He's not in his usual spot." "How should I know? Maybe he's still sleeping. Now leave me alone"
You walk over to his cabin, debating whether or not to open the door or to let him rest, 'let me just take a quick peek..' you open the door slowly just enough to make a small space for you to look at his bed.
-"Y/n.." luffy groaned. 'Crap! He found me out! He's gonna think I'm a pervert!' " mhm.. y/n..." luffy moaned. 'what the..' you peeked on the small space left on his door to find luffy still sleeping. 'Is he dreaming? About me?' That thought made your stomach flutter. 'I should leave him alone for now.. I'll ask him about it later.'
You decided to walk over to the kitchen and help out sanji with cooking breakfast, not that he needs help but you wanted to feel productive.
-"Sanji! Can I help you out with breakfast?" "Of course my lovely y/n Chan!! Anything for you!" He said while having hearts in his eyes. You quickly started on washing dishes as sanji cooked.
"Robin Chan! Nami chan! Breakfast is done! Come eat!" Sanji exclaimed, but only to be greeted by a very hungry luffy. "Mm pancakes!" Luffy then started to gobble up his plate. 'Are you done luffy? So I can wash your plate for you.' You asked. Usually luffy gives you his plate, says thank you, and sits back down to go eat everyone's else's food, but this time luffy looked at you for a split second and ran out.
-"What's up with that idiot? How dare did he ignore y/n! I'm gonna punch that idiot I swear!" Sanji said angrily. 'is he mad at me?' You were feeling down and sad so you decided to talk to nami.
***time skip to the afternoon***
'And yeah that's what happend!' You told nami everything but left out the part of you spying on him because nobody needs to know that part..
- "maybe he's not mad at just you but just annoyed in general!" Nami stated.
'I would've thought so too but he seemed pretty happy with the pancakes sanji made, but maybe you're right Nami!' You and nami left the girls cabin and you walked over to hangout with Ussop, chopper, and luffy. 'Hey can I hangout with you guys?' You asked.
-"yeah sure!" Exclaimed ussop and chopper at the same time, you sat down next to luffy. 'What are we gonna do?' You asked "let's play duck duck goose!" Chopper said. Chopper stood up and started, "duck, duck, duck, goose!" He said as he tapped on you head. You quickly stood up and started chasing chopper, luckily you managed to catch him before he sat down, so now it was your turn. "Duck, duck, duck, goose!" You said as you tapped luffy head. You started sprinting while looking back and saw luffy looking hesitant to stand up.
-"Cmon luffy! Come and get me!" You yelled while running. Luffy finally stood up and started running after you, so you kept running faster. As luffy keep getting closer and closer to you, you tripped on your feet, causing you to land onto the ground with luffy on top of you. 'Ouch..' you groaned in pain. You then looked up to see if he was hurt, making eye contact, 'luffy are you oka-?' You were interrupted by Luffy running off to his cabin.
'What's wrong with him, did I do something to make him avoid me?' You felt like crying, but you wanted to know what was wrong with him first. "Are you okay y/n? Did you get injured?" Chopper asked worriedly. 'No im okay, thanks for asking. But I'm not so sure about luffy.'
***night time***
-You were in bed with the girls, all sound asleep except you. 'I can't sleep, I need to find out what's wrong with him.' You got out of the bed very slowly and quietly to not wake up nami and robin, finally making it to the door and making your way to the captains cabin door. You took a deep breath and looked up.
'The stars are so pretty tonight' you thought. You felt your heart racing the closer you got to knocking on his door, 'should I ask him? Maybe I should wait till tomorrow morn-' the door suddenly slams open revealing a very hot, sweaty, shirtless luffy. He looked shocked seeing you standing outside of his door, 'luffy! I was just gonna talk to you right now! What a coinciden-' you were caught off guard when luffy suddenly grabbed you by the wrist and took you inside of his cabin, locking his door. You both sat down at his bed.
"Y/n." Luffy said in a husky voice. 'Luffy.' You said back. 'Why have you been avoiding me? Did I do something wrong? If I did tell m- "I been having wet dreams of you." 'W-what??' You said very clearly caught off guard. 'Is that why he was moaning out my name earlier??' "I've been avoiding you because of the dreams. Every time I look at you in the eyes I just remember the dreams. How we slowly made out, me fingering you open, eating you out." Luffy said while holding your chin making you look straight at him. Feeling yourself getting wetter and wetter the more he talks.
- "Don't you wanna find out what else we did in my dream? Hn y/n?" 'Luffy' you whine, clenching your thighs in hopes of reliving some pressure down there. You start getting closer to him, you got so close you felt his warm breath against your cheek, making some tension, luffy quickly closed that space, it started off slow and passionate, but luffy quickly asked for entrance, feeling his warm tongue invade you mouth.
You felt luffy's hand go from your thighs slowly to the underside of your bra, luffy hand quickly went under the fabric and kneaded your breast, making you moan in the kiss. "You like that? Hn my little slut?" You stopped to breathe.
You saw luffy removing his pants, so you started to undress too, you were about to unclasp your bra when you felt a pair of eyes looking at you. 'Luffy! Look away!' "What!? Im about to see you naked anyways!" You roll your eyes and unclasp your bra, making your breasts come bouncing out, feeling embarrassed and red as luffy saw them.
"You're so beautiful, you know that?" Luffy said with a husky tone. "Sit on the edge of the bed, I'm gonna try something." You complied and did as he asked, you were about to ask what he was planning on doing when you felt his tongue slide straight across your clit. 'Fuck luffy!' you moaned. Luffy started doing swirls on your clit while fingering your open, he stared thrusting you with one digit, but you wanted more, you wanted him, 'luffy, please!' You whined,.
"please what? Use your words." He teased you, knowing exactly what you meant. 'I want you luffy! Fuck me!' You whined out of desperation. Luffy started thrusting into you with no warning fucking you as if no tommorrow. 'Mhm!' You moaned while throwing your head back, you were so close, 'luffy! Faster!' You moaned. He complies and started going so fast you start seing stars in your eyes, 'fuck y/n!' Luffy groaned as he came in you, that groan drove you to your orgasm.
'Mhm!' You moaned while coming, luffy rode out your orgasm. "How are you so good at this!?' You questioned luffy, "Sanji taught me some things" he shrugged. 'What type of shit is sanji teaching him?'
You layed down next to luffy, feeling exhausted after all this, 'hey luffy?' "Yes y/n?" 'Does this mean you like me back?' "No. It means I love you back." 'I love you too then luffy' you said giggling, while drifting back to sleep.
The end!

since everyone is asking for part two of their requests, I'll do that too! Can I please request a part two of feminine!male reader and Sanji? I don't really know what to request for it tho so I'll just give some prompts if you wanna choose any 👉👈...
The crew needs to go undercover and two of the Strawhats need to act as a couple, but the girls are unavailable for that, so the only one that could help is male!reader (as you could guess, Sanji needs to participate and act as his partner)
Sanji (and the crew if you want) reacting to reader letting his hair grow long? Ponytails, messy buns..
Awkard moments of Sanji trying to dicover what is reader's type and if he's into guys (for.. research purposes..)
Or just anything 🤷♀️
Hello! Thank you for your request!! I really liked writing the first part, so of course ill write a second! Hope you like it ^^^
Poor Cook, Pretty Problem (Part 2)
Sanji x Feminine Male!Reader
One hour later
You were in front of a mirror on the Sunny, tugging at the sleeves of the soft, high-collar shirt Robin had found in the dress-up stash.
Sanji stood beside you.
In a suit.
A suit.
Dark, tailored, sharp — not his usual double-breasted look, but a fitted, high-society ensemble that shouldn’t have made your brain stutter, but did.
“Damn,” you muttered before you could help it. “You clean up stupidly well.”
Sanji didn’t respond.
Because Sanji had not made a sound in five full minutes.
He was staring at you, hair just slightly mussed, a single earring catching the light, mouth slightly parted like he’d seen a particularly sexy ghost.
“Sanji?”
No answer.
“Sanji.”
Still nothing.
You leaned in close. “Sanji, are you going to short-circuit again?”
He jerked like you’d zapped him. “I—!! I am FINE,” he insisted, straightening his collar way too fast. “This is... normal. For a mission! I’m professional.”
You raised an eyebrow. “Are you sweating through your jacket?”
“I AM A PROFESSIONAL,” he repeated, voice getting higher.
“…sure,” you drawled, grabbing your fake invitation and tucking it into your coat. “Let’s go, darling.” You winked. Just to be a menace.
Sanji staggered. You hadn’t even touched him and the man almost fainted.
At the Gala
“Smile, love,” you whispered sweetly, looping your arm through Sanji’s as the two of you stepped into the glittering ballroom. “You look like you’re being hunted.”
“I am being hunted,” he muttered, clutching the crook of your elbow like a lifeline. “By my own damn feelings.”
You laughed softly — not a stage laugh, a real one — and Sanji caught the sound like a punch to the chest.
The ballroom glittered with chandeliers and soft music. Elegant couples waltzed around on polished marble. The family you were spying on was seated on a raised platform in the center, flanked by guards.
“We have about an hour,” you whispered under your breath. “We dance. We drink. We mingle. I’ll slip away when it’s time to snatch the piece. You stay here and keep attention off me.”
“I can do that,” Sanji said seriously. “I will be the best fake boyfriend this room has ever seen.”
You grinned. “We better dance then.”
Sanji froze.
You tugged him anyway.
He followed you stiffly onto the floor like a man marching to the gallows.
But the second you took his hand and placed the other on his shoulder, something clicked.
He was still red, yes — but his body fell into rhythm, his hand on your waist firm, his movements easy.
He danced like he cooked.
Confident. Fluid. Ridiculous and smooth.
“This is actually kinda nice,” you murmured, letting yourself enjoy it.
Sanji stared down at you, dazed.
“…You smell good,” he said without thinking.
You blinked.
He clapped a hand over his own mouth. “I—I mean—”
You smirked. “You’re doing great, babe.”
“B-BABE??”
From across the room, one of the guards actually flinched when Sanji shrieked.
Later, back on the Sunny
Mission successful.
The log pose fragment was in Nami’s hands. The crew was celebrating.
Sanji was... hiding in the pantry.
You found him easily, leaning against the counter, a cigarette between his lips and his tie undone.
“You okay?” you asked softly, walking in.
Sanji glanced at you, flushed a little, then looked away. “Just recovering.”
You leaned against the opposite wall. “I had fun tonight.”
He snorted. “You would.”
Silence.
Then you added, “I wasn’t pretending when I said you looked good.”
Sanji’s eyes flicked to you sharply.
You shrugged, arms folded. “I meant it. And hey — if you ever need a date again... I clean up pretty well too.”
Sanji stared at you for a long beat.
Then: “You’re going to be the death of me,” he whispered.
You grinned. “But what a way to go.”
Sanji dropped his cigarette, stomped it out, and strode past you — but not before brushing your hand with his.
Just enough to make your skin tingle.
Yeah.
This was going to be fun.
-
It started small.
A few weeks after the gala, you stopped trimming your hair. Just didn’t bother, really. Too much going on, too many repairs, too many storms — you shrugged off the idea of scissors and let it grow.
At first, it was just a little scruffier than usual. A few soft locks brushing your neck. Nothing wild.
Then it got longer.
And longer.
By the time the crew noticed, your hair was falling past your jawline in soft waves, sometimes tucked behind your ear, sometimes falling over one eye like a character from a melodramatic romance manga.
But it wasn’t until one warm, lazy afternoon that the real chaos began.
You were on the deck, shirt tugged up to your chest as you worked on a busted pipe, hair now long enough to tie back. A few wisps had escaped, falling in front of your face — so, without thinking, you reached into your pocket, tied it up in a low ponytail, and carried on.
That was when Sanji walked in.
Carrying a tray of snacks.
Whistling.
He froze.
The tray tilted.
A croissant rolled off the edge and landed on his shoe.
His whistle died mid-note.
You looked up and grinned, brushing a bit of hair from your cheek with the back of your wrist. “Hey, Sanji. Snacks for me?”
Sanji made a noise. It might have been a vowel. It might have been a gasp. It might’ve been his soul leaving his body.
You blinked. “...You good?”
He nodded very fast.
Very red.
Very quiet.
You took a cookie from the tray with a wink. “Thanks, sweetheart.”
Sanji left.
Just turned on his heel and left.
That evening
You showed up to dinner in a messy bun.
A few strands falling out, some tucked behind your ear, the rest of it lazily piled atop your head like you’d just woken up from a nap with your hair being a pillow.
Nami did a double take.
Robin smiled into her tea.
Zoro paused mid-bite, squinting. “You look different.”
“I look hotter,” you replied smoothly, flopping into your seat and helping yourself to the rice. “Finally something to hold onto.”
Nami choked on her drink. "What?!"
Usopp screamed.
Chopper blinked rapidly. “H-Hold onto what?! For what?!”
Luffy cackled. “OH! Like a handle! Like when you—like when you pull—”
“N-NOTHING—Luffy, stop talking,” Nami snapped, cheeks scarlet.
Zoro snorted. “Knew it.”
Robin sipped calmly. “It’s a very practical hairstyle.”
Franky gave you a thumbs-up. “SUPER grip potential.”
Sanji…
Sanji looked like he was watching a car crash in slow motion.
His jaw was tight. His eyes flicked between you and the stupidly attractive way your collar was hanging loose, then to Nami’s flushed face, then back to your smug little smile.
He was stuck.
Somewhere between flustered desire and deep jealousy.
Because sure, it was just a joke.
A harmless, cheeky little comment about hair.
But it wasn’t just a joke.
Not when you looked like that. Not when Nami was clearly sweating. Not when Zoro — that mossy bastard — glanced over and gave a slow, amused smirk.
“Hey, cook,” Zoro said low, smug. “Bet you’d love to hold onto it, huh?”
Sanji’s eye twitched.
He stood up slowly, chair scraping.
Marched into the kitchen.
And five minutes later came out with your favorite dessert, placed it gently in front of you, and said, with the most strained smile of his life:
“Here, darling. Thought you could use some extra sugar.”
You looked at the perfectly plated cake.
Then at Sanji’s tight-lipped, jealous, murderously polite expression.
Then slowly turned back to Zoro, who was silently losing it.
“…Sanji,” you said sweetly, “you know it was a joke, right?”
“Oh, of course,” Sanji said with a twitch. “Just a joke. Nothing to be jealous of.”
“I didn’t say jealous—”
“BECAUSE I’M NOT.”
“…Got it,” you said.
He spun on his heel and left again.
The plate clattered a little from how hard he closed the galley door.
Nami finally exhaled. “Holy hell.”
You just grinned and took a bite of your cake, twirling a lock of hair around your finger.
Trouble?
You?
Always.
-
Sanji had a mission.
A covert mission.
A very important, completely professional, in-no-way-emotionally-driven mission.
He needed to know what kind of people you were into.
For research.
For strategy.
To better serve the crew as a whole, obviously. Not because he’d nearly passed out the last time you called someone “cute” and it wasn’t him. Definitely not that.
So, one evening, Sanji found you on the deck, lounging with your feet up, hair down, reading something and absentmindedly tossing crackers to the seagulls. The setting sun caught your cheekbones just right, and Sanji had to physically slap himself out of staring.
“Y/N,” he said, approaching with fake casual energy and very real nerves. “Hey.”
You looked up and smiled. “Hey, Sanji. What’s up?”
“Oh, nothing,” he said, sitting way too close. “Just thought I’d ask a few things. For, y’know. Research.”
You blinked. “Are you doing interviews now?”
“I’m a man of many talents,” he said smoothly, adjusting his tie despite not needing to. “Just wanted to know, uh, what’s your type?”
You stared at him for a second, like you were trying to see where the trap was. Then you grinned.
“My type?”
He nodded. “Just curious.”
You tilted your head thoughtfully. “Mm... I guess I’m into both. Guys, girls, nonbinary folks... y’know. Anyone with that spark.”
Sanji’s eyes widened. His soul did a hopeful little cartwheel. “O-Oh? Ohhh. So you’re—uh—greedy?”
You snorted. “You say that like it’s a bad thing.”
“I definitely don’t,” Sanji replied a little too fast. “Absolutely not. Nope. Greedy is... great.”
You smirked at him. “Why? You trying to figure out if you qualify?”
He choked on nothing.
“I—! I mean—! That’s not—!” He flailed briefly, then forced a cough. “I was just wondering what traits you go for. Physically. You seem... discerning.”
“I’m not picky,” you said, stretching your arms behind your head lazily. “But if I had to name something… I do like leggy types.”
Sanji sat up straighter, chest puffed slightly. “I have legs.”
You stared at him.
He blinked.
“…I mean—long legs,” he added, trying to recover.
“You’re a cook, Sanji,” you said with a grin, “not a horse.”
He flailed again. “I meant—! I was—! I wasn’t—!”
You laughed, low and amused, and his heart screeched.
“But honestly?” you said after a beat, more sincere now. “That stuff’s fun, sure. But I’m more into personality than anything.”
Sanji went quiet.
You glanced over at him. “Someone who’s kind. Passionate. A little stupid about the people they care about.”
Sanji blinked.
“I mean that in a good way,” you added. “Like, they love so hard it’s stupid. Y’know?”
Sanji’s cigarette fell from his mouth.
You didn’t notice — you were too busy staring up at the clouds, thoughtful.
“Yeah,” you murmured. “That kind of person.”
Sanji sat there, silent, unsure if he’d just been blessed or cursed.
Because on one hand — that was him.
On the other hand — that was him.
He stood up way too fast, wobbling a bit. “W-Well, thank you for your time! I’ll be compiling the research! Very valuable insight!”
You arched an eyebrow. “You good, professor?”
“I’m gonna go make twenty soufflés and scream into the oven.”
“…Alright. Have fun with that.”
Across the deck, Zoro watched the scene unfold, chewing a toothpick.
“Bet he’s in love,” he muttered.
Nami rolled her eyes. “Bet? That man’s baking his feelings.”
-
It all started with a dumb game.
Dinner had ended, bellies were full, the breeze was nice, and the crew had migrated to the deck for their usual post-meal chaos.
You were lying flat on your back on the grass-like deck, lazily counting stars.
Sanji was off somewhere making “special tea” for you. (You hadn’t asked for it. He just decided you needed it.)
That’s when Nami elbowed Usopp and smirked.
“I bet you twenty berries Zoro can’t make Y/N flustered.”
Usopp laughed. “Zoro? Please. The man’s idea of flirting is pointing at someone and grunting.”
Robin, sitting nearby with her book, hummed thoughtfully. “I’m game.”
Nami’s eyes lit up. “Ooh. Then let’s really test this.”
Within two minutes, a totally unnecessary and wildly entertaining bet had been made: Zoro and Robin would each try to flirt with you — separately, naturally — to see if they could make you squirm.
Spoiler: you did not squirm.
Round One: Zoro
Zoro was not subtle. He marched over to you like a man heading to battle.
You blinked up at him. “Hey, Z.”
He crossed his arms and stared down at you for a moment before muttering, “You look good with your hair down.”
You tilted your head. “...Thanks?”
A beat.
Then you patted the grass beside you. “You can sit, you know. I don’t bite.”
Zoro sat. Cautiously. Like you might, in fact, bite.
You propped yourself up on your elbows, eyes glinting with mischief. “You flirting with me, Roronoa?”
Zoro grunted, “Maybe.”
You grinned. “Cute.”
Zoro blinked. Once.
Then he stood and walked away with a very quiet, “Nope.”
From the sidelines, Usopp doubled over. “HE TAPPED OUT!”
Round Two: Robin
Robin, ever graceful, took her time.
She walked over and sat beside you like she’d always belonged there. “You’re quite charming, Y/N,” she said smoothly, eyes half-lidded. “I can see why Sanji is suffering.”
You snorted. “Oh, is that what that smell is? Burning ego?”
She chuckled. “He may want to watch out. You’re very… dangerous.”
You leaned closer. “Dangerous how?”
Robin smiled. “You don’t even realize, do you?”
You smiled right back, cool and casual. “I know exactly what I’m doing.”
She paused. Blinked once.
Then smiled a little wider, shook her head, and stood. “No wonder Sanji’s losing his mind.”
Meanwhile, Sanji…
…was not okay.
He had returned from the kitchen in time to see Zoro casually leaning over you and Robin smiling too much for it to be innocent.
He stood at the railing, tray trembling in his hands.
“Are they—? Is this—?” he whispered to himself.
Chopper tilted his head. “Sanji? Are you okay?”
“I AM FINE,” Sanji said, with the raw, guttural energy of a man who was absolutely not fine.
He stormed over, planting himself between you and everyone else like a very polite wall.
“Y/N,” he said, voice tight, “I brought your tea.”
You sat up and accepted it with a grin. “Thanks, sweetheart.”
His eye twitched.
“And also,” he added, suddenly louder, “I would just like to REMIND EVERYONE that Y/N is—uh—claimed—I MEAN—CARED FOR—BY ME.”
You blinked. “Claimed?”
“I SAID CARED FOR.” Sanji’s face was on fire. “Like a crew member. A crew member I feed. A regular, very handsome, long-legged, perfectly your-type crew member.”
Usopp: snorting.
Nami: tearing up from laughter.
Zoro: “You good, love chef?”
Sanji: “NO, I AM NOT—”
You, sipping your tea with the most annoying grin in the world: “So what you’re saying is... I am your type?”
Sanji opened his mouth.
Closed it.
Covered his face with the tray and just sat down.
You patted his back, still sipping. “You’re lucky I like flustered blondes.”
Sanji made a dying noise.

Huh
You know those AU/fics where the kids met earlier?, like, Dick is just old enough for Damian to be a baby kind of situation and somehow they all met and get adopted within no time from each other and all that
Well, i think the perfect dynamic for a fic will be this one:
Dick
He wasn't happy at first. At all. He went from a life of a single child to older brother of like 4 or 5 now?? In like, less than a year.
He didn't even have time to adjust to Jason before he found little Tim following him around in patrol. Not time to get around that little stalker child before Jason found a lost girl in need of help who couldn't talk. No time to even get a hold of signs when Talia came to drop a baby on Bruce.
The worst part? While he can't get around it, because he's still dealing with his grief, and anger, and why does it seem like B gets tired of his last child every week, where does that leave me, And why do this kids that i barely know look at me with eyes that say they'll follow me to hell and back-
That's the thing, his new sibblings follow him like newborn duckies, they observe and copy, and do everything he does except to leave him alone. And he's not sure how to feel about it.
He's overwhelmed with all the attention, with how this house that used to be silent has become anything but that.
And also, he can't go up to the chandeliers now. The babys try to follow behind him and he knows that non experienced people shouldn't do that. That also sucks.
Wally is making fun of him. That's one sibbling for every time you complained about not having any, he says.
He gets used to them as time goes on tho, he couldn't imagine a day without Jason coming to his room to tell him an over the top sight into the book he mentioned to have to read for class.
He can't imagine not to see tiny Tim bright up every time they see each other in the hallway.
He even forgets to actually talk sometimes instead of signs because Cass just wants to spend so much time with him and they both practice the signs a lot.
Damian is the weirdest baby ever, but he's the only member in the family who doesn't complain about being hugged for long times, at least not yet, so that's cool.
Jason
He's just happy to be here.
He didn't knew what exactly a family was, and when he found out there was another kid there, he felt a bit more safe, they could team up if it was necessary to protect themselves against the adults.
The closest thing he had to sibblings before where other kids in the streets that helped each other out, the older kids got jobs at convenience stores and sometimes they'll leave out food for them, you had to protect the youngest.
He was happy to have an older brother, and Dick clearly knew what he was doing, so everything was good.
And then he found Tim inside a trash can when he was allowed in a recon mission. He was so, so tiny, like the other kids he had met, and he knew the little thing needed protection from the world. He also had a camera with pictures of B and Robin, and that was probably important.
But whatever, two sibblings instead of none now had to be a jackpot! He did feel bad sometimes about B getting tired of him because of Tim, but, at the same time, he loved that little gremlin so much he could forget about it.
Until he wasn't so sure when Tim found a lost girl wandering around town. (He isn't Even allowed to go out alone, whats wrong with him?) don't take him wrong, Cass is great, she joins them in pranks and in spying on Dick, but she also doesn't let him forget that she's older than him (just a few months damn it!) but it's just-
She's just so much better than him too. She can't read, he has her on that, but that's all. She's stronger than him (she beated his ass in training at least twice now), she's faster, she doesn't cause problems, She's smarter than him for fucks sake.
So, why-
Why would B still want him around with this kind of upgrade?
It's not like he can ask tho, B is been very busy since that lady came to give him a baby. Literally.
And, sure, Damian is a weird ass baby, the only one he's seen that doesn't cry for most things. But he likes the little guy, he just hopes he'll still be here by the time he learns how to walk.
Tim
Tim didn't expect to be caught. He also didn't expect for it to be the new kid who found him, and as if there was anything else to surprise him with, said child auto proclamed himself as his big brother from now on.
He didn't knew if his parents will like that, because the didn't like children, not even him sometimes, but when they came back the next week and the police arrested them for working with black mask and tax evasion they didn't even ask to see him, or tried to when he reached out, so he couldn't ask.
Jason did become his brother tho, when Mr. Wayne adopted him after that, the same Mr. Wayne he knew was Batman. Huh.
Well, anything was better than an empty house, and now Robin was his-
OH GOD ROBIN IS HIS OLDER BROTHER NOW.
FUCK HIS PARENTS. HE LIVES WITH HIS HERO NOW. HE WILL OUT AS MANY CRIMES OF THEM AS NECESSARY.
Tim was overjoyed to know this. Everything was nice, Dick was cool, he didn't talk much with them, but he's Robin, nothing's cooler than that.
And Jason does spend time with him, he loves beating his ass in maro kart.
And then he found Cass when he went out to buy a new camera, he wasn't allowed to go out alone, but it wouldn't be for long, they wouldn't notice surely.
They did notice, but the good thing was that it saved him from taking Cass home on his own.
She's nice too. He never had a sister (or brother too) before, but he likes her, she helps him find hide spots around the manor.
Who he doesn't like a bit is the baby. That Demon spawn.
First he appears out of nowhere. Second, he only seems to cry when someone is talking to Tim.
What is wrong with that thing.
He also follows him around for some reason, and grabs his shirt, but if Tim tries to look at him or hold him he cries. Really, what's wrong with this baby?
Like, sure, Bruce did have him by accident, and so did Tim's parents, but the fact that Damian's did want to keep him around and pay attention to him didn't give him any right to be like this.
It's not like he's better than them, B adopted them all out of a sense of duty.
Cass
Suddenly, communicating is a thing.
If she has something to say it's that she's happy. She got a baby brother, two actually. And a Big brother. And then a very baby brother.
And a Dad that loves her. And a granpa that feeds her anything she wants except for burgers. But dad buys her a burger in the secret if she tells him.
She likes spying on Big brother. She likes learning to read with baby brother big, and to hide with baby brother tiny.
She likes to stare at very baby brother. He stares back.
So everything is good.
She's happy.
Damian
Baby Damian tolerates his family. He let's Dick hug him, and Jason carry him around talking about who knows what until he falls sleep.
And gets into staring contests with Cass.
But the one he really likes is Tim. He likes to have his attention, and he doesn't like when he doesn't have it.
But he also doesn't like to fully have it, he gets overwhelmed.
Basically, baby Damian wants Tim's attention but not too much.
The family also makes a bet on who will make Damian laugh first.
They all lose when it's Tim, even Tim loses because he had all his money on Dick.
Because apparently, his presence comforts him when he misses Talia.

Gut Instinct: Chapter 2 - Friday
[Art] [Ao3] [Prologue] [Chapter One] [Chapter Two]
Having been on the basketball team all four years of high school, it takes him less than two minutes to find Lucas. He and the team are doing some practice drills before the game.
He cups his hands around his mouth and shouts, “Sinclair!”
Lucas stops instantly, looking for who shouted. Once he catches sight of Steve he breaks out into a grin and jogs over. “Steve, hey! What are you doing here, man?”
“I was informed that no one told you Hellfire did not postpone. Wanted to make sure you knew that.”
Lucas’ face falls instantly, the glee of seeing Steve here gone. “Oh. So, no one’s going to be here for the game?”
It doesn't sit right with Steve that Lucas's first thought is that his friends aren't going to show up. “What about your parents?”
“Well, yeah, they’ll be here. But they have to be. That’s what parents do. I just thought my friends would….” Lucas trails off, but he doesn’t need to finish for Steve to know what he was going to say. Thought they’d have his back. Be here.
Steve pauses before answering, thinking. “So, you want to play in the championship game. Not Hellfire?”
“Well, I want to do both,” Lucas says, “but it’s not like the school’s going to rearrange the entire basketball schedule so I can go play Dungeons and Dragons. I had Dustin and Mike ask for me, ‘cause I don’t think Eddie likes me very much? I think he’d say no immediately if I was the one asking.”
“Hey, that’s not cool,” Steve is a little peeved, but he’s not going to let Lucas see that. Lucas doesn’t need his anger, he needs support. “Uh, why do you think Munson doesn’t like you?”
“I’ve had to miss sessions before, for away games,” Lucas shrugs. “Eddie doesn’t like when people don’t show up. Plus, he’s treated me differently since I joined the team, you know? I can tell he’s colder to me than he is Dustin or Mike. The guy's not exactly good at being subtle.”
“Hey, I’m going to go talk to him, see if I can be more persuasive. I’m not going to be cowed by Eddie Munson the same way Dustin and Mike seem to be,” Steve is aiming for reassuring.
Lucas shrugs with one shoulder, and Steve knows he doesn’t believe him. Knows Lucas thinks nothing will change, and he's not going to have his friends here for moral support. Lucas opens his mouth, then closes, before he nods to himself, like he’s made a decision, and then says, “it’s not even about getting to play the final session. I get that moving it on short notice isn’t, like, easy. I just- they’ve never even been to a game, you know? The guys on the team are great but it’s not the same. Guess it just would have been nice if they’d of picked me.”
“I’ll talk to them,” Steve insists, hating the defeated look on Lucas’ face.
“Sure,” Lucas nods, “I gotta get back to practice. Thanks for trying.”
Steve watches him rejoin Jason Carver. Carver catches Steve’s eye and lifts a hand in a wave. Steve waves back before leaving the gym. He doesn’t know Carver well, but they were on the team together before Steve graduated.
Steve heads back to the green room. He can’t think of a single reason Munson wouldn’t like Lucas, he’s the politest of the kids, and most thoughtful. What’s not to like? Except in the back of Steve’s mind he remembers Billy, and how he singled out Lucas that day he broke a plate over Steve’s head. If Eddie Munson turns out to be a racist bastard, Steve will throw hands.
But perhaps it’s all just a misunderstanding? A lack of communication. Steve knows all about that. He’s had plenty of it before. He still sucks at communication despite Robin's best efforts. He is getting better, and it helps Robin makes it easy for him to open up. Having Robin to talk to has made it easier for him to speak with other people like the adult he’s trying to be. What he wouldn’t give to be able to talk to her right now. About this issue, and the waking nightmare, and about spying more on these kids while she’s at school with them because they are making poor decisions, and also, maybe, about how he finds Eddie Munson attractive (though, maybe that will go away if he gets confirmation Eddie is acting like Billy).
“-can, it’s Steve. Just you wait,” Dustin is saying when Steve steps back into the room.
“Oh no,” Erica sighs, slumping in her chair. She’s the first person to catch sight of Steve, “that’s your Disappointed Parent face.”
“I don’t have a ‘Disappointed Parent’ face,” Steve says before calling out to Munson. “Munson, Lucas thinks you don’t like him.”
“Why does he think that?” Munson stands up from where he was sitting. Steve been in enough fight or flight situations to recognize that there is a tension in Munson's body that seems to be gearing up towards fight more than flight.
“He thinks you don’t like him because he’s missed previous games. Thinks you don’t like him so much that he had to have Dustin and Mike ask about this game because he believes you’d have said no immediately to him,” Steve steps further into the room and he can almost physically see the hackles raise on the older members, like they’re gearing up to jump to Munson’s defense. Steve’s not going to get physical, he doesn’t want to. He just wants to talk to Munson.
“I don’t hate him, but the budding jock made his choice,” Munson scoffs, dismissive.
And that’s it, Steve thinks. Munson doesn’t like jocks and he’s singling out Lucas. He’s a little relieved that it’s not racially charged, but it still leaves Steve angry, so his mouth starts running before his brain. He’s on the defensive. “You’re a fucking hypocrite, Munson. You don’t get to bully people around here. It’s only okay for you to be the bully, huh?”
“Of the two of us, Harrington, I’m not the fucking bully,” Munson moves away from the table, rounds it like he’s going to get into Steve’s face, but Gareth reaches out and grabs his elbow when Munson passes by him, stopping Munson in his tracks.
“You don’t know shit about me,” Steve fires back. “I was a dick in high school, yeah, but I grew the fuck up. You’re singling out a fifteen-year-old because he wants to, what, play sports? Making him choose between the two? That’s fucked up.”
“Again, I didn’t fucking make him choose!”
“Whatever,” Steve says, dismissive because Eddie’s not the real problem here. The real issue is that Lucas wants his best friends to pick him and they didn’t. “Lucas is allowed to like sports and nerd things. And you two,” he pivots to point between Dustin and Mike now, “are being kind of shitty right now. After everything you’ve gone through together, you couldn’t stick by his side for this?”
“Hey, I have to get on a plane tomorrow morning,” Mike defends himself. “If they postponed, then I wouldn’t have gotten to play!”
“So, it’s fine that Lucas can’t play, but terrible if you can’t? That’s a load of shit, Wheeler. Lucas is supposed to be your friend.”
“He is my friend-“
“Then act like it!” Steve didn’t want to play his card, but he’s going to. “Will and El aren't here anymore; are you really okay with losing Lucas, too?”
“That is not fair,” Mike’s voice is oddly even for how angry he looks as he stands up to meet Steve's eye level instead of looking up at him.
“Steve, you’re being defensive, right now,” Dustin says, and Steve hears the message he’s trying to get across. Hears Dustin’s words from earlier ‘you’re an asshole when you’re defensive’. It makes him take a deep breath in because it’s true. He is being an asshole right now, which is exactly what Munson and the other Hellfire members thought he’d be. He’s not going to win them over and get them to see his point like that. Not when he's attacking them. And Mike.
Steve turns back to Munson now, trying to sound calmer as he says, “If you want Lucas to believe you don’t hate him, you’d go to the game, too.”
“Lucas can draw his own conclusion about how I feel. I’m not responsible for his emotions, Harrington,” Munson growls, clearly not a forgiving person.
“You’re right, but you’re also older than him and should take some responsibility for how you act around him,” Steve says, trying to be the bigger person here but he must admit it’s tough. “He thinks you’re being shitty to him, on purpose. He thinks you treat him differently than you do Dustin or Mike. And that’s fucked up. He’s just a kid, he looks up to you, and he's been through enough.”
Munson doesn’t argue back. He stands there, but he does look like he’s thinking about what Steve said, so that’s something.
There’s a shuffling sound and it draws Steve’s attention. Dustin is standing, shoving his things into his backpack. He doesn’t say anything, but he does look at Mike. The two seem to have a silent conversation because after a moment Mike nods, and begins to gather his stuff, too.
Steve’s proud they’re doing the right thing.
“So, you two are out?” Munson’s voice isn’t nearly as angry as it was before. Instead, it's flat. He’d almost call it monotone if not for the fact it did sound like a question.
“Steve’s right,” Dustin says as he swings his backpack over his shoulder, “Lucas does really want to be here. He sounded real upset when he asked us to talk to you about changing the day of the game. I also really want to play, it’s going to suck missing the final session, but it’s going to suck more to bail on a years-long friendship.”
“Yeah. Lucas has never bailed on us,” Mike adds, even though he sounds upset for agreeing.
Erica lets out a put-upon sigh, “he has bailed on me, but never when it mattered, I guess. I expect that you’re buying the tickets, Steve?”
“Unbelievable!” Munson throws his hands in the air, which pulls Steve’s attention to him. He catches the look on his face; Eddie Munson looks… hurt?
Steve’s stomach turns a little and he scrambles to figure out how to settle it. “A compromise?” Steve offers. “Mike, when are you back?”
“Uhh, the plane is supposed to land Thursday afternoon; I’ll be back in town that night sometime.”
“Great,” Steve looks to Munson. “Can you guys play next Friday, or even Thursday night if Mike isn’t jet-lagged too much?”
“School’s locked up next week,” Dustin says.
“What about your basement, Mike?”
“Won’t fit all of us,” Mike says. “It was barely enough room when it was just Dustin, Lucas, Will, and I. The table's not big enough.”
“Plus, it stinks like boy,” Erica wrinkles her nose, “unwashed, gross boy.”
“It’s not that bad!”
“Yes, it is,” Steve says, even though he hasn’t been in the Wheelers’ basement since he and Nancy were together.
“Steve, I have a compromise,” Erica says. “Regarding a promise you made to me. For life.”
Erica now has Steve’s full attention. “Yes, Erica?”
“We play at your house next Friday. You will provide snacks and pizza,” she says it like it’s decided, before pointing her finger at Steve, then dragging her hand through the air to point at everyone, “and all you nerds will stop bickering like old people. You’ll also have to buy our tickets because I didn’t bring any money. In return, I will shorten your life debt to the day after I graduate from high school.”
“Done! Deal!” Steve accepts instantly, because a day of snacks and pizza will be so much cheaper than a lifetime supply of ice cream. He knows Erica would have held him to that for, quite literally, his entire life. “I’ll be buying all the basketball tickets, and just tell me what pizza you want. That work for everyone?”
“Your parents will be okay with that?” Dustin asks.
Right. He forgets about the major secrets he keeps from the kids sometimes. “Oh, they’ll be gone by Friday for sure so no issue. So, will that work for everyone?”
The older members of Hellfire exchange glances, and, one by one, they all say yes. Even Munson.
Erica stalks up to Steve, stopping just in front of him, hand out, palm up. With a sigh, Steve pulls his wallet out of his back pocket and drops it into Erica’s hand. “I’ll get back to you on the pizza I want. I’ll go buy tickets. Are you all coming?”
The other three members look surprised, but it's Gareth that speaks, “Uh, Harrington’s not gonna buy-“
“I said are. You. Coming?” Erica repeats, hands on her hips.
“Yes,” Gareth says, then looks surprised he agreed. Erica has that effect on people.
Erica gives one nod and heads out the door. Slowly the rest pick up their things and follow. Steve goes to follow, too, but the rolling in his stomach returns. He’s not done here.
He waits until everyone has left before turning to Munson. “I'm sorry. I’m sorry for coming in here and like, immediately attacking you. That wasn’t cool of me.”
Munson looks him over before scoffing. “It’s whatever, man.”
“It’s really not,” Steve says. “I know that, like, a lot of work goes into this game and I’m sorry. So, like, if you want anything extra, or need something for the game next week, I’ll get it. I’ll help however I can.”
Munson pauses in the middle of his clean up, to look up at Steve and study him for a while. Steve’s just starting to get antsy when Munson speaks again, “I don’t know if I hate you or not.”
There's absolutely no reason Steve should be hurt by that statement, but he is. He can't show that to Munson though, so he says, “That’s fair.”
“I’ve got to know, Harrington. How’d this group of kids get to be so important to you?” Munson goes back to gathering up the stuff on the table. "Why is their continued friendship important to you?"
Steve moves to help, and Munson doesn’t shoo him away. “I used to babysit them. Try and keep them out of trouble, which is impossible because they’re too fucking curious and smart. That’s a godawful combination, you know?”
Munson doesn’t laugh but he does quirk one corner of his mouth upwards. “My uncle would agree with you.”
“Yeah, well, they don’t need a babysitter anymore but-“ Steve cuts himself off because he’s not sure what to say. But they’re bonded by shared trauma and grief? That they have to stick together because the Byers left, and Hopper’s dead, and they can’t lose anyone else because it might be too much loss, and he’ll just fall apart? “But they’re family now. They can be a bunch of shitheads, but I love them. And they hate it when I say this, but they should get to be kids as long as they can.”
A long silence follows that as Steve follows Munson's lead of picking stuff up and stacking it all at the end of the table by the throne.
“Help me load what I’ll need for the session next week into my van and I’ll think about forgiving you for ruining this one,” Munson says once everything is gathered.
Steve agrees (probably too eagerly and quickly if the look Munson shoots him is anything to go by) and between the two of them they make quick work of it. Before they take the last armfuls out, Steve steals a pencil and a piece of paper, scribbling his number and a question on it before shoving the paper in his pocket and the pencil back in the case. Then he scoops up what he can and follows Munson to his van.
They don’t talk on the walk from the van to the gym, which is fine by Steve because he doesn’t know what he’d say anyway. He's just glad Munson didn't climb in the van and leave, and is, actually going to come to the game. They get to the gym and find Dustin sitting on the sidewalk waiting for them with their tickets. As soon as they’re in the gym Steve’s eyes go for the marching band, looking for Robin. He finds her quickly and they have a completely silent conversation.
‘Why are you entering the gym with the Hellfire club?’
‘Long story, I’ll explain it later.’
‘You better, dingus.’
Then Dustin is pushing him down onto a bench next to Mike and taking the seat beside him, patting the open seat next to him for Munson to sit. Munson sits rather than climbing the bleachers to join the rest of Hellfire and Erica in the top row, and Steve finds he’s not surprised Munson obeyed. Dustin is very likable for being an annoying know-it-all.
Steve scans the gym, looking for anyone else he might know and- “Oh, shit.” He ducks backwards and down, trying to hide behind Dustin.
“What, what is it?” Dustin asks, scanning the crowd for what Steve saw.
“Brenda.”
“What?”
“Brenda!” Steve hisses, “I, uh, I stood her up. To come to your game instead.”
Sudden movement beside Dustin startles Steve but it takes only a second to realize it’s just Munson, swiveling to look at Steve, eyes big and eyebrows hidden in his hairline. “You ditched a date to play DnD?”
Steve and Munson just look at each other for a moment before Steve feels his face get hot with embarrassment. “Like I said. Dustin asked.”
Munson shakes his head like he can’t believe him and turns back to the court.
When Steve drags his attention back to the court, Tammy Thompson is making her way to the center to sing the anthem and Steve has to find Robin’s eyes again, just to make an ‘I Told You So’ face when Tammy starts singing. She sticks her tongue out at him and the girl next to her must say something because it pulls her attention from Steve.
Now that the teams have gathered and are standing for this wonderful rendition of the anthem, Steve looks for Lucas and finds him quickly.
Lucas finds them a few moments later, and his face lights up when he sees the whole club sitting there. The last bit of nausea that Steve hadn't even been aware of fades away.
Everyone stays for the whole game, which surprises Steve. He expected the older members to dip after the cheer routine. It means they all get to see Lucas make the winning shot. The whole club stands with Steve to scream and cheer, and once Lucas is done being swarmed by his teammates, he gets swarmed by the club members.
Then they’re splitting up; Lucas is going to celebrate with his teammates, so Steve tells him to make smart choices. Before everyone vanishes into the night, though, Steve chases Munson down, halfway to his van in the back of the parking lot.
“Hey, Munson, wait!”
Munson does wait, turning as he shoves his hands into the pockets of his jeans. “Harrington. Not done turning my night upside down?”
Steve almost flinches at the word choice. “Nah, man. Just wanted to give you my number.”
“Your number?” Munson says with just a hint of laughter in his voice and Steve's heart skips over itself. What the hell was that?
“Yeah. So that when it’s closer to the Dungeons game you can call, let me know the time that works for you all. Maybe even drop off some of that stuff I helped you load before the game? Whatever makes it easier for you.”
“Oh. Yeah. Sure. I don’t have a pen on me-“
“No issue. Already wrote it down,” Steve says, pulling the paper from his pocket, offering it to Munson.
He reaches out slowly and takes it, balling his fist around it without looking at it, eyes locked onto Steve's face. The nearest light source is behind Steve, so he's not sure what Eddie's looking for, but it leaves Munson's face illuminated enough for him to look back.
Steve's never had a problem thinking Munson was objectively attractive. He's always gotten hot under the collar for people who push back against him and challenge him, which Munson did a lot of when they were in school together. Steve deserved all the pushback he got, he's honest enough to admit to himself. That being said, Steve's never seen Munson with his guard down. Even at Hellfire tonight his hackles were raised the whole time. But now, under the barely-there glow from the lamp post behind Steve, he looks... amused? The angry furrow that usually resides on his brow every second he's in Steve's company is gone, smoothed out. There's the barest hint of a smile at the corner of his lips.
Then, as abruptly as the stare-down started, it ends, Munson turning on his heel and heading off into the night without another word.
“Okay then. Have a good night! See you next week!” Steve shouts at his retreating form and heads back to the gym, where Dustin is probably waiting for a ride even though he’s supposed to be hitching one with Nancy and Mike, and Robin will no doubt be expecting that explanation he wordlessly promised her. Steve wishes Munson had opened the note. He wants to know what kind of face he’ll make when he sees that, below Steve’s number, he wrote Truce?

Do you think Law behaves different when he's only with his crew on the Polar Tang? 🤔👀
In this post I will answer multiple asks! Scroll lower for different questions answered! Now on to the first question...
That's a yes, if you mean that Law behaves differently with his Hearts than, let's say, some strangers or his circumenstencial allies, like Kid or Caesar (maybe also Kinemon). Obviously he spent a lot of time with his Heart Pirates, especially with Bepo, Penguin and Shachi (they're together for over a decade!). Thanks to them, he opened his heart again after losing Cora-san after all. There's probably no one else besides Heart Pirates and Wolf that Law feels as close with. They know things about him no one else does, like his D. name, his revenge plans on Doflamingo, what happened to Flevance, about his disease etc.
But does he behave differently with Hearts than he does with Strawhats? That's a bit harder to pinpoint. Yeah well, he knows Strawhats for a much shorter time than his Hearts, and Strawhats also don't know as many things about Law and his past as Hearts do. But Law was willing to trust Strawhats, regarding his own safety and wellbeing, and in exchange he protected them just the same way he protected his Hearts. What's really the difference between him saving Strawhats from Doflamingo in Dressrosa while attracting all of Mingo's attention on himself, and Law exchanging himself for Hearts in jail in Wano? I would say none, there's no difference, same level of dedication here and there. Let's take a bit of a look at other differences and similarities:
Telling his Hearts to stop yapping around and just listen to him and proceed with his plan.
Telling the Strawhats (well, just Usopp and Caesar) to stop yapping and just proceed with the plan. Yeah, exactly same attitude.
Ignoring their distress and giving them (impossible) orders to follow. Nami even said he's acting just like Luffy. Usopp in Wano complains Law is giving them orders like he's their captain too.
Giving orders to Hearts (obviously, he's their captain). He might usually try not to order Strawhats around, but when the situation requires that, he doesn't shy away from it, as long as it keeps them safe. He did the same when he took care of them in Wano "I will go after Strawhat! You don't show yourselves in public!" and "We need to get out of here" when Sanji's group attracted some trouble.
Telling Strawhats to just go and get killed, but never spill the beans.
Saying the same about his own crew. And he claims his Hearts would follow with it, they would rather die than spill the beans, no matter what. They're also certain Law will believe in them (he indeed does and he would not let them die).

He also worries for Strawhats when Sanji is missing, like he feels somehow personally responsible, despite this *being only an alliance*. Earlier he wouldn't do that, he would just pass the message to Strawhats through Luffy. But already at Zou Law treats Strawhats like their his crew as well, sticking his nose into their personal matters like it's his private problem as well.
There are more examples like that, the point I'm making here is: Law as a captain behaves exactly the same way with Hearts and Strawhats. He did take that alliance very seriously (like everything, he's a serious guy). He learned Strawhats strengths and delegated them into positions at Wano in which they could make the best use of their skills (Usopp as part of intel gathering group, together with Bepo, Penguin and Shachi to scout samurai and give them the coded pictures; Robin as a spy; Franky as his insider in craftswork's community; Brook for sneaking out supplies etc.) the same way Law manages his own crew to use their individual strengths in the best way possible, Shachi and Penguin for in-water cover, Jean Bart for tank etc.
The only difference between Strawhats and Hearts is the amount of time he spent with them, personal information he shared and... well, the family status. In the Law's novel Bepo, Penguin, Shachi and Wolf are like family to Law. Coincidentally, the manga chapter in which Law and his crew faces Blackbeard is called "The only family I've got". I argued in other posts that chapter titles usually refer to more than just one character or event in a chapter, so I'm pretty sure this one applies both to Bonney and Law. Yes, the Strawhats definitely didn't yet reach the status of "family" in Law's heart except maybe Luffy.
With Hearts, at least in the novel, Law smiles a lot more (so far the only time Law smiled with the Strawhats was in Dressrosa's feast). But we see it happen once in the manga as well (and also on his silly wanted poster before Wano):
He also trained them himself. From One Piece Red we know he would go as far as to accompany Bepo to Uta's concert, just so Bepo won't feel alone there. Law also lets them be as loud as they want, do the silly sentai poses, he draws the line only at disrespecting him (when Penguin and Shachi called him cute lol). He lets Strawhats do all that too tho, but he might not go to the same lengths for them like he did for Bepo in One Piece Red.
But do I think Law behaves like a different person than what we already know of him, when it's just him and Hearts? No. He just smiles a bit more and does some ridiculous things out of concern he wouldn't do for anyone else in the world, but I doubt they do some completely out of character things together, like Law suddenly having an impromptu karaoke night on Polar Tang (unless, you know, they made him drunk first, but that doesn't count lol) or rehearsing a sentai pose routine for Sora and Germa (he would totally watch them do that by themselves though!). He probably still spends a lot of time in his captain's quarters alone, but he makes sure to pay attention to his crew and for example, eat meals together. Eating meals together was apparently important for him since it reminds him of his home he had with Wolf in North Blue.
But I think most of their together-times happen actually out of intiative of his crew than Law himself, he definitely gets dragged into some stuff against his will, but he ends up agreeing just because he loves them so much and likes to see them happy (but he probably doesn't understand that his presence alone makes them happy, even though it also makes him happy to see them happy). He will never say that outloud though, because then they would take advantage of it Every Single Time. He's also more used to their antics than Strawhats antics, so it's easier for him to filter it out and focus on his own things, unfazed, while they're noisy in the background, lol. Law is like an introverted person in the middle of a cheerful and loud group circle (though I bet at least some Hearts are introverted as well. Penguin, for starters, or Hakugan, they give those vibes).
So, that's my vision of it. Hope you enjoyed! And yeah, I believe Law can reach exactly same level with Strawhats, he's already like halfway there (or maybe even slightly more?), after all.
I actually would love to see Law doing the Germa/Sora sentai routines with his Hearts Pirates tho... that would be so infinitely cute. I have actually one more post about Law and his Heart Pirates, leaving the link here in case anyone's interested: https://www.tumblr.com/l-in-the-light/764268904433483776.
Oh, uh, I will be honest, he would be probably very awkward about it. His family wasn't really overly emotional imo. Even when Lammy is sick, she's doing her best, acting tough and not crying despite being in severe pain, which tbh would be expected of a child her age. Whenever Baby5 cried, Law seems to quickly lose his anger. When Bepo cries (or Penguin and Shachi in the novel), Law doesn't really know how to comfort any of them and usually doesn't do anything. When they're just sad or anxious it's easier for him to react, he usually tries to comfort them by trying to stay strong, even if it means faking his confidence about something. Because he's doing it for their sake, putting his own needs aside.
When Luffy was bawling and rampaging in Amazon Lily, I think it literally stunned Law:
And later he just waited for Luffy to calm down, siiting quietly at the shore. Which is why I believe if someone is sad or crying, Law would just give them their personal space and just wait till they're better, while watching gently and calmly from the side. Maybe he would want to offer more, like a pat, a hug or even just a nice word, but considering how bad he is at touching people and how he struggles in emotional moments, that would still end up being really awkward. He might reach out with his hand only to retreat it slowly without making any contact, or he will barely brush the clothes of the crying/sad friend in an attempt at being soothing.
Even if he tries to cheer someone up with his words, he would probably stutter quite a bit, because emotional moments like that tend to do that to him. Maybe he would try to say something like this: "You can cry all you want if it makes you feel better... I can... stay here". But I think what he would feel the most comfortable doing, would be to just stay quietly close by, not say a word, and guard so no one else would witness the sad/crying person in their most vulnerable state. Or, if that person is the type Law believes would feel better with someone actually able to give them support, he would just shamble them to the crying person and leave, to give them some privacy.
He knows he's not the best person to approach when someone is sad and crying and needs support. The only exception here could be Luffy, who we know tends to isolate himself when he's sad and/or crying. I think Law would behave exactly the same way in similar situation (isolate himself and be sad on his own), so those two just have the same coping mechanism. Law would quietly keep guard on the ship, at a distance, and that would be probably the best approach to Luffy crying. And if he's just sad, Law would wait till Luffy wants to talk about it (though Law would be able to guess the reason without them talking about it at all). Though Luffy is distress sometimes seems to forget about food so maybe it would be Law offering him some instead, creating a rare moment between them.
If Bepo was crying, Law would try to awkwardly comfort him, only to get hugged all of a sudden and soaked in his friend's tears as he himself struggles to keep the balance and to breath in the tight bear hug. So I guess Bepo again would be the exception here, but it would still go the same route after Bepo is done crying, he would offer him food (what a peculiar similarity to Luffy, I guess that must feel oddly familiar to Law) and then try to talk with him about whatever made him sad and cry, and then do everything he can to fix it, because of course he would take that trouble onto himself, like it's his personal duty. It's one of those rare moments he can actually do something to make his friend feel better, so he would dedicate 100% effort towards it.
But if it's someone crying or sad who Law doesn't know very well, or barely a friend, his instinct might be to run away from the spot, not because he has no empathy (though he might tell himself that, he easily judges himself after all), but because he feels even more awkward with someone he doesn't know. If it would be a crying child then that might be an exception (thanks to instant flashback to Lammy), so if it's a lost child he would be like "this is so annoying" while searching through half the town to find their parents, lol, while the child clings to his mantle. If the child isn't afraid of him, he *might* consider giving him/her a piggback ride, but since he's so unused to it, it will turn out to be quite a bit of a challenge. He's definitely not used to people being alright with him being close to them or touched by him, and that fear rarely leaves him. Sure, he improved a lot with Cora-san, to the point that being carried became alright, which is why I believe he could give a piggyback ride to a child as well, if he braves himself for it. But one fearful comment from the child and he might never do it again, so yeah, there's also that.
Summing it up: Law would awkwardly sit close by (or escape if he thinks that's the better option for both of them), wait patiently, be a guard, and then offer something for comfort afterwards (probably tea or food, but who knows, he might get more creative if he stresses it out). And if the person wants to he will talk about the reasons they were sad or crying, and offer solutions, because he's not great at saying sweet nothings and comforting words like "poor you" or "you're right to feel how you feel" (doesn't mean he thinks their reason for crying or being sad is invalid), rather he would try to improve the situation so it doesn't happen again, and if it does, that maybe it's a bit easier next time around. All the while he will be making his usual serious and grumpy faces (that's just how he is, okay? don't take it personally), and might later complain to himself about people being overly emotional and dramatic (probably not to their faces though, unless it's Chopper crying over almost nothing), because he has no idea what to do about that, but it makes him feel things which he also doesn't know what to do about.
Damn, I'm making him sound a bit autistic, aren't I? Not good dealing with emotional situations, offering solutions instead of comfort words... Is Law actually neurodivergent? That's actually a good question... He does have some traits, from what I can tell, but then so does Luffy and Chopper, and occassionaly other Strawhats as well, lol.
Oh, yes, the Japanese trend of making music MVs with anime characters dancing to it (or sometimes not only dancing, the point is they're like idols in music videos, dancing, singing or just being protagonist in some sort of story-telling music vids). https://youtube.com/@shinto_s?si=Jm9lnxVhH6UduKbV check it out if you didn't know it yet, this version is with Law and his Heart Pirates!
The art is really cute and pretty, and there was clearly a lot of work put into it (Law is slightly OOC or nerdy there, but it's okay). Personally I don't think the songs fit, but then I also don't know the lyrics, so I might be wrong about it haha. Thanks for sharing anon ✨I usually don't check out stuff like that, but I had fun watching those :D
Okay, fair warning now to anyone who made it this far in this post. You might want to skip my answer here, in case of potential spoilers. That's your last cue! This is the last ask answered in this message, so you won't miss out anything if you skip the rest.
For anyone that stayed and wants to know my answer: I think it's not possible. There are some hints in the manga suggesting that Law actually isn't cured from Amber Lead Syndrome, he only managed to slow down the disease (and ope ope no mi never had the power to cure him, because it's a hereditary sickness). That's why he was able to live for almost two decades longer than his estimated time when he was a child. In other words, I think he controls the sickness with his ope ope fruit powers. Which means, if he has a child he would have to do the same for them and they could never seperate, at all. His child still won't survive till old age. Maybe Law is able to slow down the symptoms and manage the sickness from within his body because he is the *user*, but he might not be able to do it for someone else (especially if he himself is sick as well).
If you're curious what are the hints I'm talking about, of Law not being actually cured, then I will leave you with a link where I talked about it in detail: https://www.tumblr.com/l-in-the-light/759831834066599937. I also wrote about Amber Lead Syndrome being a hereditary disease here: https://www.tumblr.com/l-in-the-light/759927365045485568. Of course if I'm wrong and Law is cured, then yes, the scenario you described, anon, would be possible and the problem would be solved. I just don't think it's that simple, but you're free to come to your own conclusions, of course!

In the Beginning, In the End (A-Train)
Description: Y/N is Hughie’s sister and hated A-Train until he started saving them.
Warning: Smut
Word Count: 2,928
Being Hughie’s sister was a roller coaster. There were the good times and the bad times and the times that couldn’t be described. Ever since William Butcher entered Campbell's lives nothing has been the same. When Y/N got the call that Robin had died and more tragic than anything. Y/N ripped off the poster she had of A-Train and got rid of any merch. She hated his guts after that and the second Billy offered a way to kill him Y/N said yes faster than A-Train could run. Hughie loved the idea of his little sister wanting to protect him but he was scared she would get hurt.
When A-Train apologized to him she laughed in his face and told him he was a cold blooded killer. So anytime she was face to face with him it wasn’t a nice battle. A-Train made fun of Hughie anytime he could about his little sister being his protector. Y/N told him a billion times that if she had powers A-Train would be dead. When A-Train’s girlfriend passed, Y/N laughed in his face when he tried to blame Hughie. “Your girlfriend died because of you! You’re a no good lousy piece of shit that needs to get the fuck out of here or else.” A-Train was amazed by her. She didn’t fear him or care what happened to her as long as Hughie was okay. A-Train wanted out.
He couldn’t handle Homelander anymore. This wasn’t what he wanted. “Why are you here?” Y/N asked walking up to him. “Leave.” She said before he could answer. “I’m here for your brother.” He said. “So you can kill his girlfriend? Get the fuck out. She saved your life and frankly she shouldn’t have.” A-Train’s eyes widened at her words. She was harsh. “I know about your dad and I’m sorry. Hughie wants to give him V so I stole some from Homelander.” “What?” She asked no longer aggressively. “He wants to save your dad so he told me he would forgive me if I helped. Don’t know if that means your forgiveness but it’s a start.” She didn’t have any words.
He risked his life just so Hughie could forgive him? The stunned look on her face made him smile a little. Hughie walked in the door and was about to question what was going on when A-Train gave him the V. “Thank you.” She said to him before he left. He felt his heart beat faster at that. The next time A-Train would make her feel funny was when he saved Hughie and her from Homelander. One second they were in the vents the next in an alley. “You saved us? Why?” She asked. The look of hate wasn’t in her eyes. “Do you forgive me now?” He asked her. She nodded and gave him a little smile.
He ran away and since then she’s had a funny feeling in her heart. When they had to spy on Victoria and Homelander A-Train did something that made him a hero. He saved MM. Y/N was with Billy at the time but when she found out she ran to him. She knew where he lived thanks to Vought. She wore a black hoodie and had the hood on as she snuck into the tower. She found his room and knocked on the door. He answered it and was shocked to see her. He quickly pulled her inside, “what are you doing here?” He asked, shocked. “You saved MM.” She said. “Why?” She loved asking the question. It was something he got used to. That’s when he told her everything.
He wanted out of Vought and he was done with it. Y/N listened to him as he talked and told her all of this. He had a fear that she would use it against him but was shocked when she hugged him. It took him a second but he hugged her back and had tears in his eyes. “You’re not alone, A-Train. Why do you think we’ve been planning to take down Vought for years?” He pulled away from the hug, “Did you ever want to kill me?” He asked. Though he knew the answer. “At first, yes. Now, No. You’ve done a lot and proved yourself better than anyone in the Seven. You’re a hero.” She said and cupped his face. “You know when I saved MM there was a kid there and he smiled at me. It made me feel like a hero and I didn’t hate myself.” She kissed him.
The amount of shockness in his body could have killed a regular person. But he kissed back. All of the times that she threatened him and told him he was horrible played back but that memory went away when she straddled him on his couch, not breaking the kiss. His hands moved to hold her hips that were covered by the large hoodie. She pulled away from the kiss to breathe. He stared at her as she closed her eyes and caught her breath. “Why’d you kiss me?” He asked. She opened her eyes, “I’m gonna tell you a secret and you have to keep it.” He nodded and in her hoodie she pulled out a poster. It was the poster that she had on her wall of him.
“This poster was on my wall for years up until what happened with Robin.” She said, “You were a fan?” He asked. She smiled and nodded, “A big fan.” He took the poster and looked at her. “So do you think you can get me another poster?” She asked. He chuckled and threw the poster on the ground and pulled her back into a kiss. His hands gripped the end of her hoodie and she pulled away from the kiss to help him take it off. His eyes fell to her bare chest and she smirked. She was too turned on for him to just be staring so she took one of his hands and placed it on her breast.
He squeezed it a little causing her to moan. He was harder than a rock after hearing that. Her panties were soaked and she perfectly lined up with his crotch. He thrusted his hips up causing her to gasp. He smirked and kept doing it causing her to whine. His hand traveled down her body to her clothed pussy. He ran a finger up her slit and nearly groaned. She was soaked. “You’re so wet.” He said and pushed her panties aside to see her wet pussy. She gasped his name when he made contact with her. “Reggie.” He said.
“Call me Reggie.” Reggie. She liked that. That name was all she knew now. His finger that was circling her clit flattened out so she could hump it. He grabbed her hip with the other hand to steady her movements. He looked up at her in pure awe and she humped his hand and whined his real name. His middle finger circled her hole that was dripping on him. She whimpered as he inserted a finger in her. Her head fell back with a pornographic moan. Her hips got faster as did his finger. “Fuck you’re so beautiful.” He said and she moaned at his words.
He smiled and watched as her eyes were rolling back and her pussy was going wild on his finger. He inserted another one and she whined that she was going to cum. “Cum for me baby. I want your cum all over my fingers.” She screamed his name so loud that he was positive that everyone in the tower heard but he didn’t care. She came all over his fingers and he let her ride out her orgasm with moan after moan about how good it feels. He pulls his fingers out causing her to gasp. They both stare at his cum drenched fingers. She took his hand and put his fingers in her mouth causing him to moan. “Fuck baby you’re so hot.” She licked his fingers clean and began sucking on them.
He twitched in his pants as she let him know what she wanted next. She moved off him and took off her panties. He pulled down his pants and his dick was big and hard. She felt herself get wet again. She straddled him again but by his legs so she could give him a blowjob. He watched as she licked up his shaft causing his mouth to open. She licked every inch of his dick before taking him in her mouth. He threw his head back for a second trying not to be too loud but her mouth was amazing.
Her tongue swirled around him and her hand was jerking off what wasn’t in her mouth at the moment. “Fuck shit.” He whispered as he tried to keep his eyes open to watch her but knew that he would cum faster if he did that. She looked so pretty with his dick in her mouth. She looked up at him and he almost came. She took in more of his dick until it hit the back of throat. She had a pretty good gag reflex. His hands gripped her hair that was down and he tried not to fuck up into her mouth. Luckily she was moving fast enough for him that he began twitching very fast in her mouth. “I’m cumming Y/N fuck.” He whined and came down her throat.
She swallowed all of it and smirked up at him. She wiped her mouth and looked up at him. He was breathing hard but looked peaceful. She crawled back on top of him and they kissed again. Their lips moved fast and lustful as he felt himself get hard again. She took his dick in her hand ready to line him up but he stopped her. “Let me fuck you.” He begged and she smiled and laid on the other side of the couch. He took off the rest of his clothing and got in between her legs. He smiled down at her and she pulled him in for a kiss. They made out for a few and he moved down to kiss her neck.
He definitely left a hickey but she was too horny to care. “Reggie please.” He pulled away from her neck to look at her. “Please what baby?” He asked and went back to kissing her neck. “Fuck me Reggie. Please.” He smiled against her neck and lined himself up with her hole. He slowly pushed in wanting to feel every inch of her wet pussy. She gasped feeling him tear her apart. She had sex before but he was a supe and he was huge. He closed his eyes, enjoying it until he was fully inside of her. Her legs wrapped around his waist pushing him deeper.
He pulled away from her neck and looked at her face. Her lips were swollen and her eyes were blown. She looked so fucked out and he didn’t even fuck her yet. He began thrusting causing her mouth to drop out and her eyes to close. He kept his eyes on her as he fucked her. She moaned out his name and she gripped the couch with one hand and scratched his back with the other. He grabbed her hand and laced it with his as he moved faster. “Fuck.” He whispered as the feeling got better. “Reggie.” She whined and he kissed her neck again. He didn’t want to make a bunch of noise as he was enjoying hers but her pussy felt amazing.
The couch started making noise as he was thrusting as fast as he could without hurting her. Her whole body was wrapped around him. Both of them were fucking noisy and he pussy started clenching him. “I’m so fucking close.” She whined and gasped. “Me too baby fuck.” He moaned and she gasped loudly and came all over his dick. He kissed her face repeatedly as she came. He followed after and they both moaned so loud. Her pussy milked him so much until he was soft again. He stayed inside of her as they caught their breath. “I love you.” She said and he looked up at her shocked.
After that day Y/N and Reggie were together but nobody knew. Though he has helped The Boys she wasn’t sure how any of them would take it especially Hughie. Billy, Starlight and Y/N walked into the office and The Deep was there. But he wasn’t alone and Black Noir was also there. Of course Homelander sent them to kill them and they fought.
Billy and Black Noir were fighting and Y/N helped Starlight with the Deep. He hurt them both pretty badly especially Y/N but A-Train showed up and helped them. Y/N gave him a smile and he picked her up and zoomed away. He laid her on his couch and she coughed. “Thank you!” She said and he kissed her head. “I’m so sorry I wasn’t there sooner.” He said and she shook her head. “You’re my hero.” She whispered and cupped his face.
He gave her a soft smile and grabbed her hand, “I think you’re mine.” They leaned their foreheads against each other. “I’m leaving and I want you to come.” He told her. She looked at him, “Leaving where?” She asked. He chuckled, “Anywhere Dubai? France? Anywhere that’s not here.” “Reggie why the rush?” “He knows now that I’m the leak.” Y/N looked down completely forgetting about that. She sighed and shook her head, “We can defeat him.” She said. “Yeah maybe someday but I can’t let you get hurt and I need to protect my family.” He tells her. “I need to protect mine too.” She whispers. “Can you think about it?” He asked and she nodded.
Hughie and her walked back to her apartment. She needed to tell him about A-Train. As she got to her door she turned around. “I need to tell you something.” She said, “Okay.” “I’m seeing A-Train and he’s leaving and asked me to go.” Hughie shook his head in shock. “What? When? How?” She laughed at all the questions. “I love him, Hughie and he saved Annie and I yesterday and I think I’m gonna go with him.” “He’s leaving The Seven?” “Homelander knows about him being the leak so he has to go.”
“You hated him Y/N and now you love him?” “I loved him first, remember?” Hughie smiled at the memory of her obsession with him. “You know I forgive him about Robin.” Hughie said. She smiled at him and nodded, “I do too.” “If you want to go I support it but come visit me some time will ya?” She had tears in her eyes. “I have to. I have to protect my big brother.” She said and they hugged.
The next day Y/N ran to A-Train who was no longer at the Vought tower but with MM. The building was empty but him. “Reggie.” Y/N said and he turned around. “I’ll come with you.” She said and ran up and kissed him. He smiled into the kiss. For the first time in his life he’s truly happy. “When are we leaving?” She asked. “Tonight.” He said. That gave her time to pack. “I love you Reggie.” He smiled, “I love you more baby.” She pulled away from him to gather her things from the building.
She wrote a note to Billy and sighed as her and Reggie had her things. They sped to her apartment and he helped her pack. “Well that’s everything.” She said as she looked around at an empty apartment. He moved the last of her things on the truck. She walked out of the house and closed the door for the last time. She sighed and turned to Reggie. “Have you talked to Hughie?” He asked her. “He knows and he supports it.” He smiled and took her hand as they walked to the truck. “Is your chip gone?” Y/N asked him as she drove. “Yes and my family is already gone.” He said. She smiled as she drove away from Vought and everything.
Hughie smiled at the text she sent him. She was in Dubai with A-Train and she had her phone shut off so nobody could contact her but him. Reggie came into the room of their new home. He felt secure and safe with her. “Hey.” She said as she shut her new phone off. “Hey.” He said as he sat next to her. “I texted Hughie but that was all.” He nodded, “How’s everyone doing?” “Well it’s been 3 days so they are still trying to beat him.” “Do you think they will?” She shrugs, “Billy is a hardass and frankly he’ll die before he gives up.” She turned away from him to grab something and when she turned back around he was on one knee. “Reggie-” “Will you marry me?” He asked, holding a beautiful diamond ring.
She gasped and her eyes were filled with tears. “Reggie, are you serious?” He nodded, “So serious.” He said and she fell to her knees and hugged him. “Yes Reggie of course I’ll marry you!” She cried. He slid the ring on her finger and she looked at it in awe. “This is to our new life and away from the bullshit.” He said. She laughed and nodded. As their lips locked she gets a call from her brother. It seems that maybe they weren’t done with the Vought bullshit just yet.

King and Prince 20
Part 19
There was no other way to describe it, Eddie thought as he literally watched Steve sitting under a tree with Robin, laughing at something she said. Spring had not only come to this land, but to the prince as well. Like a flower in bloom, he was open and inviting. And everyone longed to be like the sun, having that flower turn to face them. At least, that was the thought that crossed Eddie’s mind and surely everyone else felt the same way.
He teased the kids more, ruffling their hair, and even allowing himself to be the but of the joke at times. He and Robin turned out to be thick as thieves, which Eddie could have never predicted. All this because he had been allowed to roam the town.
Yesterday, Eddie happened to spy a hickey peeking from the top of Steve’s collar and could deny it no longer. He had found a lover. Steve had found a lover. Perhaps even more than one. After all, there was no reason to limit himself to just one. The fact remained though that someone was making him glow with their affections.
Someone out there was kissing him, whispering sweet things in his ear, telling him how lovely he was-SNAP
Eddie looked down to the broken quill in his hand.
“Something on your mind?”, Gareth asked, returning a book on one of his shelves.
Eddie wriggled his fingers and brushed the broken quill away, careful not to smudge what he had just been writing. “No. Nothing at all”, he lied.
Gareth waited patiently for him to continue, knowing he would. In the meantime, he grabbed another book and sat on the other side of Eddie’s desk.
“Steve has been going out often, hasn’t he?”
“About every other night, yes. Are you regretting giving him that freedom?”
“Well…”, Eddie struggled for only a second to think of a reason. “What if Nancy’s right?” He pushed off from his desk and stood, going to the window behind him. Thankfully Nancy was in a neighboring town, otherwise he’d fear she would actually materialize out of thin air.
“About the prince conspiring with townsfolk?”
“Or a spy. Anyone really. We just don’t know.”
Gareth sighed. “Time to put on my ‘Nancy hat’. Why don’t you send someone to follow him and see?”
The last thing Eddie wanted to see was Steve actually in the middle of the deed. But going along just far enough to make sure no other liaisons were happening was just his duty as a king, wasn’t it? He had to protect his people. And if Steve was only just meeting lovers, well he should feel confident enough to bring them back to the castle to introduce to everyone, shouldn’t he? If they weren’t conspirators anyway.
Eddie found the resolution to do so just a few nights later. He and Robin were relaxing in a sitting room, sipping together after having sent the kids to bed a couple hours ago. That was when Steve came in and draped himself on the couch Robin was sitting on with a dreamy sigh.
“Let me guess”, she said. “The woodcarver’s son?”
“You know me a little too well for how short we’ve known each other”, Steve said, bringing his head to her lap.
Eddie was sitting on the couch opposite them, leg propped up on the armrest. He didn’t like the way Steve didn’t even seem to notice he was there.
“You’re late”, he said, sitting up.
Steve turned just his head to look at him. “I know, I’m sorry. But it’s not always easy to get away.”
Robin snorted. “You mean clean up takes forever?”
“Don’t be crass”, Steve scolded lightly. “And I’ll have you know, Jason is the perfect gentleman. He always helps me clean up afterward.”
Eddie knew of Jason, the son of a woodcarver. Diligent in his work, a leader among the youth in town. His face was…fine, Eddie had to admit. He certainly wasn’t plotting to take Eddie’s kingdom down, that was for sure. Born and raised here, Jason only stirred up trouble a couple of times the way kids typically did. He had no reason to mistrust him.
And yet…
As the night went on, Steve and Robin continued to talk about him. Apparently Jason first saw him at the festival when he competed in the games. They talked a lot about athletic pursuits. Wood carving wasn’t for the soft of hands after all. Robin asked about others Steve had met with. Faith, Gabriella, Harris, but it always came back to Jason.
He must be Steve’s favorite. Which meant that Eddie had to see what the big deal was about. On top of all the other reasons he’d come up with before too, of course. Steve didn’t go out the next night or the one after. But the third night, he did and Eddie followed. He traveled in the shadows until they got to town, then shifted to a bird. His usual form would have been instantly recognizable at this point, so he went with a starling appearance tonight.
Steve tied his horse to a post and went into a tavern. Eddie perched on a window just long enough to see Steve immediately sit down with a young woman. So not Jason. He waited by the door for someone to go through and flew in, staying aloft in the rafters and close to the edges of the ceiling. He got right above their table to listen in. She seemed a sweet lady, but looks could be deceiving.
“I wasn’t expecting to see you here tonight”, Steve said. “I thought your family needed help at home this week?”
“I was able to get away”, she said. “Are you…disappointed?”
Steve reached out and touched her cheek. “How could I be when I am gifted with your presence?”
She melted in his touch and Eddie had seen enough. There was nothing shady going on, so he had no reason to stay. He went back home, but spent about an hour, pacing about in his room, trying to find explanation for why he was so agitated. Steve hadn’t lied. Hadn’t gone against them. Which meant he got to say ‘I told you so’ to Nancy when she got back. The night after that, Eddie sat down in his chair, ready for story time but was off most of the evening. El was the one to point it out.
“Why do you keep looking at the door? Are you expecting someone?”
“This late?”, Lucas asked.
“Yeah, you’ve been kind of twitchy all night”, Dustin added.
“No I haven’t, and it’s fine”, Eddie brushed them off. He knew it was because of Steve. If these kids knew, they wouldn’t stop until they got to the bottom of why. And Eddie wasn’t ready to face the why.
It wasn’t until Robin spoke up later, once the children were sent off that he got the kick in the pants to find out the truth.
“They’re right you know. You were twitchy.”
“You know I can’t stand still for more than a minute”, Eddie said in his defense.
“Yeah, but this is different. It’s like…”, then she snapped her fingers. “How Mike gets when Will would rather spend time with Lucas.”
Eddie’s stomach dropped. They had been teasing Mike about his not so secret crush for a while now. To be compared to that…
The only way to prove he wasn’t jealous was to see Steve actually be with someone and have no problem with it, right? He had walked in on more than one of his servants entangled with each other. It was a big castle, places for secret rendezvous were numerous. He’d even happened on Dustin stealing a kiss from a girl in town once. He felt nothing when watching others share their affections. So Steve shouldn’t be any different.
Eddie hadn’t disciplined Steve when he came back late, so he got more bold with his curfew. He always returned to lay his head in the castle, Eddie noticed, but he didn’t rush back as the sun set either. One day he left as the sun was dipping low, giving the last bits of light as he traveled on the path from here to town.
Eddie followed, in his raven form this time as pitch black wings were better for camouflage in the night. And Steve may recognize this form, but even if he saw him, surely he wouldn’t put two and two together. There was more than one raven in the world, they couldn’t all be Eddie. When Steve dismounted, the tavern was just a quick stop. He tied the horse to a post and then went across the street.
He watched the prince chat up a candlemaker, seemingly having just a nice conversation before leaving to go somewhere else. Eddie was about to follow when his bird’s eye view allowed him to see a child sitting in an alley, legs hugged to their chest. He flew down and pecked at their shoe to get their attention.
A nice shoe, not an orphan, probably just lost. The kid seemed down on themselves and after Eddie played around to get their spirits up (making funny bird noises, puffing his feathers up, tugging at their hair) he was able to lead them out of the alley. Feeling less hopeless, the child called out for their parents and Eddie helped to get attention by squawking from their shoulder.
A man ran up and scooped up the kid, grateful for having found him. Eddie took his leave then, but had unfortunately lost Steve. He knew he wasn’t at the pub, so his only lead was the woodcarver’s. That was where he flew and sure enough, when he perched on the roof, he heard something from behind it.
A soft sound, just a low ‘mmf’ that anyone else still on the street or in their homes wouldn’t be able to pick up. He walked across the roof and the posterior of the shop was lit by just a single lantern hung from a rung. He peered down, almost hanging upside down to see Steve, legs wrapped around Jason while he was sat upon some crates. Steve let out another quiet moan and Jason gave him a gentle shush.
“It’s the evening hour, you’ll wake everyone up if you’re too loud”, Jason smiled while continuing to thrust into him.
Steve pressed his lips together to keep from making too much noise. His eyes were unfocused as they looked up, suddenly gaining focus and gasping when he noticed the bird watching them. Eddie remained frozen. If he left now that he’d been spotted it would practically confirm his identity. Steve tightened his hold on Jason. His panting picked up as he got closer and Jason stuck two fingers into his mouth.
The prince groaned and for just a moment, Eddie imagined what wonders Steve was doing with his mouth. Was he simply sucking or did his tongue lick between the digits? Eddie knew he should leave, it was only decent. But Steve’s gaze kept him tethered to where he was. His eyes only closed when he started to cum, Jason pushing and pulling a few more times before he did as well.
Steve was floating. Jason pulled his fingers out and wiped them on his shirt. He was saying something as Steve came back into himself but he wasn’t sure what. The bird had flown away.

Well Met By Moonlight Part 8
And we're back! Are you guys getting my tags, the engagement dropped again. I know that in America there was the holiday but it kinda dropped off before that and I saw other blogs that didn't have their tags work at all. So let me know if you aren't seeing all my posts.
Steve talks to Keith, learns some unsettling news and Robin is awesome.
Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4 Part 5 Part 6 Part 7
****
Billy Hargrove was a racist, chauvinistic asshole with a savior complex longer than his dick, but he was also one hundred times the better man than Dr. Martin Brenner. Granted Brenner was scraping the bottom of the ocean, but Steve was grateful for not having had to deal with him when he was around.
He also knew that he wasn’t going to speak to the Dominus today. He was going to speak to his second in command, Keith Prince.
He didn’t like Steve, and Steve didn’t know why. But considering that despite the last name, he looked more like a toad than a prince, Steve had a pretty good idea the dude was just jealous of Steve’s good looks.
He walked up to the coven, bare ass on display, having just shifted.
“The fuck do you want, Harrington?” Keith snarled. “And why can’t you come dressed like decent folk?”
“Because I’m a werewolf, Keith,” Steve sighed. “The fastest way for me to travel is to wolf out.”
Keith rolled his eyes. “You could always send Carol or Robin to do your dirty work. That is what keepers are for, aren’t they?”
“That’s isn’t happening in this or any life time,” Steve growled. “Not after you propositioned Robin the last time I sent her here on pack business.”
Keith just sneered. “What. Do. You. Want? I’m busy!”
Steve sighed. “Tell your Dominus that we may have the public school system to blame for the raise in hunters and to ask his thralls what they’ve heard.”
Keith scoffed. “He already knows about that shit and they don’t know nothin’.”
Steve’s spine stiffened at the tone and the fact that Billy already knew about the thing with Josh.
So either he had Lucy in his pocket, or there was a spy in his pack. Neither was an option he wanted to entertain.
Steve showed his teeth, forcing Keith to back down.
“You shouldn’t lie to an alpha, dumbass,” he snarled. “I can smell the stench of the lie coming off you like stale weed. You tell your Dominus that if he thinks he can push me around, remind him what happened to the last asshole who crossed me.”
Keith straightened up and bowed his head. “My apologies, alpha.”
Steve snapped his jaw at Keith before shifting back into a wolf. A wolf that could look Keith in the eye. He showed his teeth again and was gratified when he smelled the scent of urine wafting from the vampire.
He leapt through the door, leaving the scent of urine, lies, and fear far behind him.
*
Steve came back in time to see Josh off to his parents. He watched as Josh chatted happily with them over everything he did.
“…Did you know that a single werewolf could eat up to thirty pounds of meat a day? But not raw, that’s a myth...” Josh prattled on, his parents giving each other amused glances behind his back.
Steve turned to Tommy, the keeper that was hiding in the crow’s nest near the entrance.
“It sounded like he had fun,” he said, as Tommy leapt down in front him.
“Carol wanted to straight up adopt him,” Tommy said with a sneer.
“She always did have a soft spot for strays,” Steve murmured as Tommy fell instep next to him. “Especially strays that love shopping.”
Tommy nose twitched. “You went to that vampire mongrel’s again, didn’t you? I can smell him from here.”
Steve smacked Tommy’s head. “He’s not a mongrel just because he was made instead of born. Where are you kids getting these ideas? Jesus Christ.”
He snorted. “Whatever, I can still smell him.”
“I saw the mayor and visited the coven too,” Steve said dryly. “I was doing my duties as an alpha. There is something wrong in this town and I am going to figure out what.”
Tommy sniffed again. “Yeah, I get it. I don’t want Hopper back as the alpha anymore then most of this pack, so you better figure it out, before you get yourself killed.”
Steve pushed him playfully. “Shut it, Tommy!”
Tommy laughed. “I bet I can beat you to the center, no shifting.”
“You’re on!”
*
Steve was in his hut? Cottage? Living structure? He was never sure what to call all the little houses that was in the compound. Hell, he didn’t even like the word compound, really. It felt cult-ish. Which they weren’t.
Werewolves had tried living in towns for millennia and it never worked out well for the werewolves. They would get blamed for everything from failed crops, high infant mortality rates, and plagues.
So they started forming their own communities inside towns. Much like the Vatican and Italy.
Well whatever anyone called them, it was home.
Steve was at home, playing cards with Robin.
“So what did you think of Josh today?” he asked, drawing a card.
“I bet Tommy whined about it all the way back to the center of camp,” Robin said with a scoff.
“It’s actually fucking ridiculous how much the pack is so...so...” he threw his hands in the air frustration. “Fuck I don’t know the right word for it. But click-ee?”
“Clicky?” Robin asked. “What the hell does that mean?”
“You know, a click,” Steve said. “The jocks, the cowboys, the goths, the freaks. A click.”
“Ohhh...” she said. “A clique.”
Steve frowned. “Isn’t that what I just said?”
Robin half shrugged. “Sort of. But yeah, I’ll agree to the pack becoming more and more cliquey. It’s become very insular since...” she paused to think. “Actually I don’t when it started, but it’s recent. I just can’t tell you how recent.”
Steve hummed. “It’s becoming a problem and one I don’t know how to fix. I mean Josh and Chance here will help not only them realize that we aren’t monsters, but that regular humans aren’t monsters either.”
Robin nodded. “It’s certainly a step in the right direction. You need to get out more in the community. Do Q&As at the town hall and middle school.”
Steve scratched his cheek thoughtfully. He placed all his cards down. “Out.”
“Skunked again!” Robin shrieked. “How are you so good at this game?”
Steve just shrugged. “Why not elementary schools?” She stared at him blankly. “For the whole Q&A thing.”
“Oh, that,” she said, waving her hand. “Because despite there being an actual werewolf in the school no teacher or parent would agree to you speaking to kids that young.”
Steve sighed. She was probably right. “’K, so middle schools and town halls help with the community at large but what about the pack?”
She just shrugged. “That’s something you should really talk to your alpha female about, you know.” She scooped up the cards and began shuffling them.
Steve sighed. He did know. But he also knew that Nancy was still very much a conservative when it came to pack dynamics. She had actually turned him down twice because she felt that the alphas should be mated.
It wasn’t until Steve asked her and she couldn’t come up with a logical, non-sexist reason why that should be the case that she accepted the role.
“I love her dearly,” he said instead. “But I just kinda want to spit ball some ideas with you that I can take to her. So I don’t look stupid.”
Robin shoved his shoulder playfully. “She doesn’t think you’re stupid.”
Steve scoffed. She really, really did.
“Okay,” Robin conceded. “Maybe a little.”
“There is also the little matter of the spy,” Steve grumbled.
Robin grimaced and chewed her bottom lip. “You know it’s Tommy, right? Please tell me you know it’s Tommy.”
Steve frowned. “No. Why would it be Tommy?”
She sighed and scooted close to him. “Steve, he’s been hanging on Billy’s coattails at school. He’s always talking about how great Billy is on and off the court. Hell, if I thought Billy liked boys I wouldn’t be surprised to learn Tommy was sucking his dick.”
Steve ran his fingers through his hair. “But I need to make sure. I just can’t go accusing people without proof.”
“I don’t think you should accuse him at all.”
Steve reared back in confusion. “What do you mean?”
“I mean, dingus,” Robin said slyly. “You make sure to tell Tommy things you know you want Billy to know. Because a spy you know is better than one you don’t.”
Steve gave her a big hug. “I wish you were my alpha female.”
She hugged him back. “I know.”
“Have you thought about asking for the bite when you turn eighteen?”
She shuffled back a bit and put her hands on her knees and then nodded. “Yeah. I’ve talked to my parents about it. They’re uneasy about having a werewolf for a daughter.”
Steve sighed. “I’m sorry. Maybe the town hall meetings and the Q&As with kids will help.”
She nodded.
“Thanks, Steve.”
He kissed her cheek. “Between you and I we are going to change the world.”
She looked at him shyly. “You really think so?”
“I know so.”
Robin pushed his shoulder again. “You are such a sap.”
Steve laughed. “Yes, but you knew that.”
She looked at the scar on his neck and then reached out to touch it. “I’m sorry they did that to you.”
He shivered at her touch. “I don’t mind it.”
“I do, Steve,” she said fiercely. “They hurt you because they were afraid of you.”
He sighed. “When my parents died, the Franklins were the only ones in town willing to take me in. The only people who knew about the silver collar they made me wear was just the three of us until I turned eighteen.”
“How did no one else know?” Robin asked gently.
“I only wore it when they were home at home,” Steve murmured. “I wasn’t forced to wear it at school. Just at home where I ‘might’ hurt them.”
“It’s still cruel.”
Steve just shrugged.
“Whatever happened to them?” she asked after a moment or two of awkward silence.
“Officially or unofficially?” Steve asked with a smirk.
“There’s an official story?” Robin said eagerly.
He laughed. “Sure is. They are currently on a business trip to...” he looked at his watch, “Tokyo, Japan.”
“What the hell?” she gasped excitedly. “What’s the real story?”
“Only Wayne and I know where their bodies are buried.”
Robin giggled and kicked her feet. “That’s amazing!”
Steve smiled at her fondly. She really was his platonic soulmate.

Ideas for Vivi on the Straw Hats:
Yes, I know she'll always choose Alabasta, but let me make my fucking fanfics ok
She is one of the weakest crew members, however, her role as a diplomat is indispensable in many situations as she is the one to get them places to stay and also support from other countries/islands. She uses whips and is always with Karoo when fighting.
In Skypiea, she spends most of the time trying to build her trust on Robin as she needs to accept her there since Luffy did, and Robin does apologize quietly a few times and Vivi struggles to forgive her. However, during Long Ring Long Land, they are put in games together and have to work together, and that helps them in building trust. Vivi forgives her near the start of Water 7 and is able to let go of past.
During Water 7, she tries to reach for Usopp in all ways possible, but is unable to until Sogeking shows up. She does not fucking hesitate to save Robin in Enies Lobby and, to protect Alabasta, uses a mask to hide her identity and is from now on known as Bluebird (this is from a fic I read and can't find if you're the author I'm sorry tell me and I'll give you the credits). Cries lots in Merry's goodbye.
In Thriller Bark, Karoo is by Usopp's side in the fight against Perona cuz, well, hes a duck and doesn't feel depression. Vivi is also one of those to be the most polite to Brook, although she used her whip to pull off his spine when he asked to see her panties.
In Sabaody, she is the luckiest one as she gets sent back to Alabasta. During the 2 years, she doesn't evolve that much in combat but manages to solve a lot of struggles the country was going through. Felt bad later for not training so much like the rest but nobody else thinks this.
In Fishman Island, definitely bonded with Shirahoshi and talked lots and lots about what the straw hats made for Alabasta. Develops a really good friendship with her and encourages her to follow her dreams. One the closest to Jinbei ever since then, would be one of the happier ones when he appears later in Wano.
Same thing that happened with Shirahoshi goes for Rebecca in Dressrosa, Vivi holds a special grudge against Doflamingo because of his similarities with Crocodile and the coup he tried on Alabasta.
In Whole Cake, she is part of the Sanji rescue team and tries to not lose her mind after the Sanji and Luffy fight. Was the one to get them to the island and that way they didn't need to go all sneaky through most of the arc. Left a little earlier to Wano and wasn't there for the tea party because they knew that when the assassination attempt happened Big Mom would aim for her.
As she did spy for two years, during Wano she'd be a part of the spy-and-plot team and not take that much fights. During the Raid on Onigashima, she'd protect Tama while her subordinates fought. Helped take Ulti down. Bonded a lot with Hiyori in all of this.
During Egghead, she'd be obviously pretty sad and depressed because of Cobra's death, but would refuse to believe it was Sabo to kill him. The straw hats told her to go back to Alabasta so she could handle the probable chaos in the country with the whole dead king thing, but then they got the news that the whole world was looking for Vivi and went 'yeah, you know what, you better stay here'. Likes a lot to stay around Bonney now cuz she's a funny kid. Would be in the part of the crew that remained on Sunny and didn't wake up on Elbaf.
Also there's Namivivi all over the place. Sorry I don't make the rules (I do)

Rickmas Day 20: Wrongful Perceptions
Character: Hans Gruber (Die Hard) Relationship(s): Hans/Emily (OC) Warnings: none
Part 2 to Deceptive Kindness
Read on Ao3 or below:
“I never lied to you,” Emily began.
“You told me your name was Ammaline.”
“Everyone uses code names. Even you.”
Hans eyes narrowed. “How do you know this? My real name has been buried so deep for so long, even I forget it sometimes.”
“I’m good at my job.”
“Not so good. I found you out.”
“You did. I’m impressed.” Emily hesitated. She sat down on the side of the bed, then said, “I was going to tell you.”
Hans scoffed.
“Oh? And when was this? Once you had enough evidence to arrest me?”
“I don’t know. I hadn’t decided yet. But I knew I had to tell you the truth, about… everything.”
“Everything?” Hans repeated. “So there’s more.”
“Don’t you think I’m kind of a shit spy if I haven’t gathered enough on you in five years?”
“The thought had crossed my mind.”
“At first I kept a record of everything. Everything you told me, everything the others told me, everything I could find out for myself. Then… over time… I started leaving things out. Little details that were important in the long run. Like when I found out your real name.”
Hans raised his eyebrows in surprise.
“You didn’t tell them my name?”
“How many heists have we pulled without the police knowing? We rob a man in Cologne while they storm an address in Düsseldorf. I’m surprised I haven’t been fired yet with how many bad tips I’ve given them. But I always have an excuse. That Hans Gruber, he’s so sneaky, telling each person a different address so nobody knows the real target. How was I supposed to know I had the wrong information?”
“Am I supposed to believe you kept them off my trail on purpose?” Hans asked sardonically.
“Yes.”
“Why?”
She looked up at him and smiled.
“Because you steal from men too rich for their own good, and as much as you like to spend, you can never spend it all. You can hide some of it in offshore accounts, but only so much to stay under the radar. I’ve seen your accounts, Hans. I know how many anonymous donations you give.”
Hans shrugged nonchalantly. “The change has to go somewhere. I’m no Robin Hood. I steal from the rich to give to myself; the poor get what’s left.”
“You had 350 million Mark in ‘change’ last year alone.”
Hans said nothing.
“I’ve been keeping them off your trail for over four years,” Emily continued. “That’s why you’re never arrested. Some sacrifices had to be made, of course. I had to keep myself from getting fired. I had to give them some leads. Anton, Elias - I had to give them up so they had someone to arrest, something to show for it all. But you - you I kept safe, Hans. Without me, you might have been arrested long ago.”
“And you did all this for my charity donations?”
“No,” Emily said truthfully. She glanced downwards and willed herself not to get distracted by his open shirt. “I did it for you.”
Hans’ brow furrowed, as if he were having trouble processing what she was saying.
Emily tugged her robe tighter around her torso, as if it could protect her from the emotional vulnerability she’d been putting off for so long - for too long.
“I don’t expect anything in return,” she said softly, averting her eyes from Hans’ piercing gaze. “I don’t expect you to… want anything. Especially now. But you wanted the truth, and this is it. My job was to spy on you, but I fell in love and turned against my own country to protect you. I’m not proud of it. I know we’ve hurt people. I know you’ve… done worse. But love makes you stupid.”
She stole a glance at the gun in his hand.
“Whatever you want to do… I understand. But… if you were willing to forgive me… I can continue protecting you. If you’ll let me.”
There was a long silence. Emily wished she could know what Hans was thinking, but she couldn’t bring herself to even look at him, let alone ask him.
After what felt like an age, Hans lifted the gun from his lap…
… and placed it on the bedside table.
He slid closer down the bed towards her and lifted her chin to force her to look at him.
All the anger that had blazed in his eyes was gone. Instead, there was a curiosity, and something that was almost warm.
“You should have told me earlier, Emily,” Hans said softly. “All these years, so much unnecessary secrecy between us. Let us change that, ja? Only the truth from now on.”
Emily nodded, cautiously, trying not to give herself hope that she wasn’t going to be killed tonight by the man she loved.
“I shall tell you a truth in return, liebling.”
Emily’s heart fluttered. She held her breath.
“I was going to kill you tonight,” Hans said matter-of-factly.
“I know,” Emily replied, her voice wavering slightly. The use of past tense didn’t evade her notice.
“I cannot tell you how much it hurt, believing the woman I loved had betrayed me.”
Hans smiled as he watched her expression change.
“Another truth… I have never been so glad to be wrong.”
“Hans… I swear to you… I will never betray you.”
His lips met hers again, but this time it was so soft, so gentle, so different from the passionate, lustful kisses they’d already exchanged that night, it was almost as if this were their true first kiss.
“I believe you, liebling.”

i will ask.. how do i play comp medic
*i was gonna put the 'und fixtf2' robin atkin downes images but you dont have images enabled. oh well*
(actually on the topic of comp medic. i was so set on having a comp gameplay for the fic i mentioned that i looked up a LEGIT COMP MEDIC GUIDE FOR SNAKEWATER.)
im so glad you asked :D
the way medic is played in comp changes pretty drastically depending on the format, ill focus on 6s and highlander (hl)
general comp med stuff:
uber counting (an uber takes 40 seconds to a minute on average to build, start counting when the enemy med spawns)
calling advantage (usually when the enemy med has just respawned the med yells "we have X ad!" if the number is low like 20 then the team usually plays passive and tries to send a sac(rifice) at the enemy med again but if theyre good they can play off of it and go aggressive, if the number is high like 80 or even full ad then the meds job is now to survive until they can push into the enemy again, if your teams med dies then youre at a disad, which is basically the same principle as above just reversed, bigger number means bad now)
uber masking (right when youre about to get an uber, say a different voiceline to override the loud and obvious "i am charged!" one)
an ever-looming fear of death (because the enemy wants you dead so bad, they will send sacs to get you, which is just a soldier bombing in with the sole purpose of killing the med, even if the soldier dies in the process)
always sticking with the combo (in 6s its demo, pocket scout and pocket soldier, is hl its heavy, demo, pyro)
comp meds usually have really good aim
did i mention the ever-looming fear of death yet?
calling ubers (this is either A) telling your team "ill have uber soon" or "i have 80" when youre at 80% or B) telling your team where you should end an uber, eg. "end on point" "end in heaven" or C) calling when you uber or where youd like to uber, eg. "lets uber through 1" "i forced!" "ubering ")
calling the team to back up when youre low on players, eg. "we have 2, go back to last!"
buffing soldiers, they usually come to the medic and ask for an overheal (or "buffies" as ive heard)
if the medic is using a solem vow, they also call the enemy health ("get the soldier, hes low!" "demo is 30, focus him!")
other than calling all of that, medic is a relatively silent class in comms compared to other ones
surfing damage! its so fun, you get hit with one (1) rocket and go flying backwards at mach 5 into safety, this is an essential skill of all comp meds
6s medic specific:
always healing a scout (unless both are dead)
if hes not healing a scout then hes giving buffs to a soldier or about to use uber (usually on a demoman)
building uber with a scout (boston basher) or demo (half zatoichi) anytime he can, this significantly cuts down how long it takes to get uber (60 seconds down to 40)
can be found on koth or 5cp maps
usually only sticks to stock medigun
has worse spy or sniper awareness than a hl med because a 6s med doesnt deal with them often
6s is a very fast format so the med is always on the move with his team
hl medic specific:
very very still
usually standing inside of a dispenser and using it as armor (the engineer is your new best friend)
almost always crouching
genuinely idk how people have the patience to play hl med
does not build uber
switches mediguns based on maps and team (defending on payload usually means starting with kritz then switching to stock later) and also a lot more in general
never out in the open, good spy + sniper awareness
can be found on payload, koth and cp_steel
other non-ingame comp stuff:
med is seen as an easy and boring class to play, nobody wants to play him, ever
is so so stressful at times
its hard to tell how good a medic player is because medic relies a lot on his team so sometimes what you might think is a medic issue is actually a team issue
usually said team issue gets blamed on the medic by the team
map reviews and team demo reviews are very informative, some people have posted map reviews (talking about strats/positions/class specifics, etc. on a specific map) on youtube but more experienced teams that know their maps usually do team reviews where they look at a demo file of their recent game with a coach or mentor (same thing, usually a higher division player) and have them point out mistakes and tell them how to fix said mistakes
if its not down for maintenance, you can check out comp.tf, the competitive tf2 wiki for further reading, i also have two other posts about comp med/med in general (one) (two) and i have some posts on my comp tag about stuff thats happened to me while playing or just liveposting the average team squabble

Happy Holidays! This ask is platonic; I wanted to ask if you could write a one-shot about a young woman who's Zoro's half-sister? I'm thinking like their sibling relationship is giving brains and brawn, like Zoro is the super over protective brother who inherited all the muscle, while reader is the very smart, pretty much brainiac, alchemist of the strawhats? Reader is very snarky and takes every chance she can to either one up her brother or flex her intellect. For a story scenario, maybe the crew docked on a new island that had a specific ingredient reader needed and she forced Zoro to tag along with her because she needed him to help carry it back. Zoro begrudgingly agrees but he ends up getting lost because reader stepped away from him while he was distracted. Reader and the crew search for him, eventually finds him and then reader sasses him for not paying attention. Maybe she comments about putting a tracker in him, and the crew laughs until they notice she isn't because she's actually contemplating how she'll do it, with Franky's help 🙏🏽 IM SORRY TGAT TURNED INTO A YAP FEST
ZEHAHAHAHAHA ITS OK I LOVE LONG REQUESTヽ(´∀`。)ノ ☆(≧∀≦*)ノ
COMING RIGHT UP
——————————————————————————-
SIBLING RIVALRY
ZORO X F!READER PLATONIC
Not many warnings, some cursing, a tensie wensie bit of angst i think, just fluffies🤸🏻
You and Zoro were like crossed fingers, yin and Yang, partners in crime, two peas in a pod. Ehh well sort of. You two had a relationship ship that was like:
You can have my kidney to survive but I won’t share my snacks with you. Your relationship doesn’t exactly make sense but hey not everything has to be explained.
-
“Hey Usopp Island up ahead!” Luffy shouted, looking through a spy glass. The sniper barely looking up from his fishing rod spoke, “That’s great Luffy…hm I feel like im forgetting something…”
“To tell Y/N we are about to dock long nose.” Zoro said as he woke up from his nap beside the pair. “That’s it! She needed that weed for her weird nerd potion.” Usopp said. “Oi im the only one allowed to call her nerd.” The swordsman said. “WAIT WHO ARE YOU CALLING LONG NOSE!?”
“Alright everyone this island has a marine base so no fooling around alright!” Nami said as she was getting ready to explore the island. “Zoro with Y/N, Sanji with Luffy, Me with Robin, and Chopper on his own to find herbs!” The navigator hopped off the ship and everyone else followed suit.
“CANT believe im stuck with you out of all people.” Zoro muttered under his breath. “I didn’t quite catch that seaweed look alike.” You said through your teeth. “Blegh you sound like Sanji what did I tell you about hanging around him.”
The island was fairly small with two small villages. It was known for exotic plants. You spotted a small shop with interesting trinkets and told Zoro to stay put outside.
Of course didn’t.
“Wow they had a bunch of interesting stuff and I found that herb I needed! Alright let’s go-“ You were cut off as you noticed the spot the swordsmen was last in was empty.
“ZOOOORRRRRROOOO!!!” You yelled, in fact so loud a few birds flew away.
*Zoros pov*
“Great I look away and now she got lost on me, how did I end up in the forest anyways.”
A faint “ZOOOORRRRRROOOO!!!” was heard.
“What type of animal was that?” He said heading deeper into the forest.
-
BONK!
“HOW COULD YOU LET HIM GET LOST!” Nami screamed. “Yes that was quite careless Y/N” Robin chuckled. “You guys don’t have to rub it in im worried too!” You muttered rubbing the spot where Nami hit.
“The sun is setting let’s just look for him now that marines are looking for us.” Usopp said hiding behind Sanji. “Oh please you don’t even have the guts too! YOUR LITERALLY HIDING!” Nami yelled. “Adfenture!” Luffy said with his mouth full of meat.
-
“ZORO!” Branches in your way were ripped of their trees, “ZORO! Ugh I’ll never find him this way…” A idea popped into your head and you walked into a clearing in the forest.
“THIS IS WHY IM BETTER THAN YOU ZORO! AND SMARTER! AND STRONGER!”
You gave it a moment then bushes were heard rustling, the familiar green haired man stepped out then spoke. “Yo.” “DONT YO ME IDOIT!” “You said you were stronger than me huh?”
BONK!
Zoro was crouched down on the floor holding the giant red lump on his head biting his lip to prevent screaming. “YOU DONT KNOW HOW WORRIED I WAS! MARINES ARE EVERYWHERE!”
You grabbed him by the collar and headed towards the ship. “And yes im stronger than you…” You said under your breath.
-
Everyone eventually returned to the ship and was relieved to find Zoro made it back safe.
“That was a risky move mosshead, you could’ve gotten killed don’t you think?” Sanji said before taking a drag of his cigarette. “Oh please just because im not a scared cat like you doesn’t mean I don’t think.” The swordsman replied. “WHAT DID YOU SAY!?” The cook got into a fighting stance. “Not again…” Usopp said in disbelief.
“Hm I think I might put a tracker on Zoro..” Everyone laughed but it slowly died out as they realized you weren’t joking. (Except Sanji he’s still laughing his ass off😭)
“Not a bad idea! Get him a harness too!” The blonde said while helping Nami and Robin onto the ship. “SHUT IT ERO COOK!”
You would have to visit Frank later…
