DentaTonic Supplements
A Brighter Smile and Fresher Breath: My Experience with DentaTonic Supplements
Tumblr media
For years, I'd been diligent about brushing and flossing, but I still felt like my smile wasn't quite as radiant as it could be. My breath wasn't always minty fresh either, and I worried about keeping my gums healthy in the long run. That's when I decided to try DentaTonic Supplements.
Natural Support for a Healthy Mouth
DentaTonic is a natural dental supplement that boasts a blend of carefully chosen ingredients. The website claims these include prebiotics and enzymes that work to improve the balance of good and bad bacteria in your mouth. This, in turn, supposedly strengthens teeth and gums, promoting overall oral health.
Simple to Take and Easy to Integrate into My Routine
I found DentaTonic really easy to incorporate into my daily routine. The one-a-day dosage is simple to remember, and the capsules are small and easy to swallow. There wasn't any weird taste or aftertaste, which was a relief!
A noticeable Difference in My Oral Health
After using DentaTonic for a few weeks, I started to notice a difference. My breath felt fresher for longer throughout the day, and my gums seemed less prone to irritation. Most importantly, I felt more confident about my smile. It seemed brighter and healthier, which gave me a boost of confidence.
Would I Recommend DentaTonic?
Overall, I've been very impressed with DentaTonic Supplements. While it's important to maintain good oral hygiene habits like brushing and flossing, I believe DentaTonic has been a helpful addition to my routine. If you're looking for a natural way to support your oral health, I woulddefinitely recommend giving DentaTonic a try. Just remember, as with any supplement, it's always wise to consult with your dentist before starting anything new.

Drinking More Water Protects Your Teeth? Discover the Benefits
Tumblr media
Water is essential for overall health, but its benefits extend beyond keeping you hydrated and maintaining bodily functions. Drinking water can also play a crucial role in maintaining your dental health.
At Capture Life Dental Care, we are dedicated to providing exceptional dental services to help you achieve and maintain a healthy, beautiful smile.
Here’s how increasing your water intake can protect your teeth and promote a healthier smile.
1. Natural Mouth Cleanser
Water acts as a natural cleanser for your mouth. Unlike sugary or acidic beverages, water rinses away food particles and residue without leaving harmful substances behind. Drinking water after meals or snacks helps wash away debris that can feed bacteria and lead to plaque buildup and cavities.
2. Promotes Saliva Production
Saliva is one of your mouth's primary defenses against tooth decay. It contains proteins and minerals that protect tooth enamel and neutralize acids produced by bacteria. Staying hydrated ensures that your body can produce enough saliva, which helps maintain a balanced pH level in your mouth and prevents dry mouth, a condition that can increase the risk of cavities and gum disease.
3. Reduces Acidic Damage
Acidic foods and beverages, such as citrus fruits, sodas, and wine, can erode tooth enamel. Drinking water helps to dilute and wash away these acids, reducing their harmful effects. Sipping water during and after consuming acidic items can help protect your enamel from erosion and maintain the integrity of your teeth.
4. Fluoride Benefits
In many areas, tap water contains fluoride, a mineral known for its dental benefits. Fluoride strengthens tooth enamel, making it more resistant to decay. Drinking fluoridated water is an easy and effective way to incorporate this protective mineral into your daily routine, especially if you do not use fluoridated toothpaste or mouthwash.
5. Helps Prevent Staining
Coffee, tea, red wine, and certain fruits and vegetables can stain your teeth over time. Drinking water alongside or after consuming these foods and beverages can help rinse away pigments and reduce the likelihood of stains setting into your enamel. This simple habit can help maintain a brighter, whiter smile.
6. Fights Bad Breath
Halitosis, or bad breath, is often caused by food particles and bacteria in the mouth. Water helps to flush out these particles and keeps your mouth moist, preventing the dry conditions that bacteria thrive in.
Drinking water regularly can help keep your breath fresh and your mouth feeling clean.
7. Supports Overall Health
Good dental health is closely linked to overall health. Conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, and respiratory issues have been connected to poor oral hygiene.
Drinking plenty of water supports your body’s overall health, which in turn supports your oral health. A healthy body is better equipped to fight off infections, including those that can affect your gums and teeth.
8. Calorie-Free Alternative
Choosing water over sugary or acidic beverages can significantly reduce your risk of tooth decay. Sodas, juices, and sports drinks often contain high levels of sugar and acids that erode enamel and promote cavities.
Water is a calorie-free, sugar-free alternative that hydrates without harming your teeth.
How to Incorporate More Water into Your Day
Carry a Water Bottle: Keep a reusable water bottle with you to encourage regular sipping throughout the day.
Set Reminders: Use phone alarms or apps to remind you to drink water regularly.
Flavor It Naturally: Add slices of cucumber, lemon, or mint to your water for a refreshing twist without added sugars.
Drink Before Meals: Make it a habit to drink a glass of water before meals to aid in digestion and keep your mouth clean.
Opt for Water at Restaurants: Choose water over other beverages when dining out to help maintain your dental health and save money.
Conclusion
Drinking more water is a simple yet powerful way to protect your teeth and promote overall dental health. It helps cleanse your mouth, supports saliva production, reduces acidic damage, and can even aid in preventing tooth decay and bad breath.
By making water your go-to beverage, you can enjoy a healthier, brighter smile and contribute to your overall well-being. So, take a sip and toast to the health of your teeth!

i saw that one disability-related post a while ago about dental care but i can't find it again so i'm gonna mention a few things as a (mild to moderately) mentally & physically disabled person, whose teeth hurt when i eat sweet stuff now + i've had a root canal due to a fall + i'm learning to take care of myself, that may or may not help other folks with their dental routine
note: i am not a dentist & this info is mostly what i've gleaned secondhand from dentists, so yeah, i am not an expert in any capacity
water flossers aren't as effective as regular flossing (doing both is actually what's most effective) but they're better than nothing & helpful in cases where coordination problems or other issues might prevent regular flossing technique (i imagine this also depends on the quality of the water flosser)
if you use one of the plastic pre-made floss picks things, rinse the string off in-between each time you use it to floss one side of a tooth, it's tedious but it mimics moving to a new (clean) part of the thread like you do with regular floss
if you get an automatic toothbrush, get one that does circular rotation rather than just vibrating or whatever, as this mimics the tools they use in a dentist's office + imitates the circular motion you're expected to make with a standard toothbrush (which is also hard with coordination issues), i got one that does this pretty cheap from walmart (it's an oral-b but i forgot the specific type) + it automatically times it for you
if you have white spots on your teeth that are uneven with the shade of the rest of the tooth those are potentially white spot lesions due to demineralization; whitening products can make this worse rather than help it, but some products can help with remineralization such as mi paste topical tooth creme, which contains calcium and phosphate (i have yet to try this myself but it seems to get suggested by a lot of dentists, orthodontists, etc. for white spots on teeth & it's also supposed to help with sensitivity and tooth health in general because the white spots are lesions so it's not purely cosmetic!)
it's advised to not rinse your mouth immediately after brushing as this potentially dilutes & reduces the effects of the flouride (if you use fluoride toothpaste), stuff says to wait at least 15 minutes or so
just giving your teeth a quick scrub (even if it's without toothpaste and just water) is better than not brushing your teeth at all
if you have trouble seeing a dentist for financial reasons, try to see if there are income-based or charity dental services in your area, sometimes dental schools also provide low-cost/free dental care
that's all i can think of for now, i wish i had more advice for people who struggle to be able to brush their teeth at all in general but this is all i got unfortunately :(
additionally - you're not bad, useless, gross, or a failure if you struggle to (or can't) maintain oral hygiene; this stuff is much easier for some people than it is to others & those who take it for granted like to forget that, no one deserves to be mocked or looked down on for being disabled & struggling to/not being able to do """basic""" stuff like this!

You were talking about Leo being a straight dudebro in the body of a gay man (fashion wise) and tbh thats the jumping off point for me to say that whenever I picture him in human clothes he is Always wearing the classic "green triforce shirt + khaki cutoffs pants" combo every middle school boy rocked circa late 2000s early 2010s. You just know he wears those shirts that say "eat, sleep, game, repeat" and the same basketball shorts for 5 years straight. Like, I can see Mikey, Donnie, and Raph having campy and fun fashion sense and having cool elaborate outfits but like. Its not Leo if he doesn't rock a fit that screams the fanciest place he'll eat out at is Olive Garden tbh
Leo is one of those fuckbois that spends hundreds of dollars on a pair of ugly tennis shoes and then freaks out if any dirt gets on them and walks like an idiot to avoid scuffing them.
He'd wear his pants with his ass hanging out and pop his collar. He'd wear those deep v-neck shirts and birkenstocks, probably with socks.
He'd wear puka shell necklaces and shark tooths despite living in NYC and having never been surfing. If he had hair he'd absolutely have had a frosted tips phase.
Not to mention this boy reeks of axe body spray. He's one of those guys that hasn't figured out he stinks more as a teenager and substitutes spray-downs for basic hygiene. He has a twenty-product nighttime skincare routine and then he rolls out of bed and sniffs a random shirt on the floor to determine if it's suitable for another go. At least once a week he'll show up to the breakfast table and Splinter will gag and force him to take a shower.
Meanwhile Donnie is legit prancing around in heavily coordinated outfits that he seemingly threw together effortlessly and he looks like a fashion model. April sends him pictures of her prom dress choices and takes his critique as gospel. He's always invited to Girl's Night and it took Cass several get-togethers for her to even realize the irony. He and his girlfriends do their makeup together and probably get into fights over how they apply eyeliner. Somehow he is the straighter twin.

ProDentim Supplements
A Smile Saver: My Experience with ProDentim Supplements
Tumblr media
Brushing twice a day and flossing regularly are the cornerstones of good oral hygiene, but I'd always felt like I could be doing more for my teeth and gums. After a bit of research, I decided to try ProDentim supplements, and I'm thrilled I did!
A Natural Boost for My Smile
ProDentim is a dental health supplement that contains a blend of probiotic strains and other beneficial ingredients. Probiotics are live bacteria that can improve gut health, and recent research suggests they may also play a role in oral health. I was drawn to ProDentim's natural approach to supporting healthy teeth and gums.
Easy to Take and Gentle on the System
The ProDentim supplements come in easy-to-swallow capsules. I take one each morning with breakfast. They're flavourless and haven't caused any stomach upset, which is a plus for me as some supplements can be a bit harsh.
A Brighter, Fresher Smile
Since taking ProDentim, I've noticed a few positive changes in my oral health. My breath feels fresher throughout the day, and my gums seem less puffy and irritated. I'm also hoping that the probiotics in ProDentim will help to prevent future cavities and gum problems. It's still early days, but I'm definitely feeling more confident about my smile.
Would I Recommend ProDentim?
Absolutely! If you're looking for a natural way to support your oral health, I highly recommend giving ProDentim a try. It's easy to take, gentle on the system, and seems to be making a positive difference in my smile. It's important to note that I'm not a medical professional, so it's always a good idea to speak to yourdentist before starting any new supplements. But for me, ProDentim has been a great addition to my oral hygiene routine.

oral hygiene practices
maintaining healthy teeth and gums is crucial for many reasons:
prevents tooth decay and gum disease. regular brushing and flossing remove plaque, a sticky film of bacteria that can lead to cavities and gum disease if not properly managed.
maintains fresh breath. poor oral hygiene can cause bad breath (halitosis). brushing your teeth, and tongue, and using mouthwash can help keep your breath fresh.
reduces the risk of systemic diseases. there is a strong link between oral health and overall health. poor oral hygiene can contribute to conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, and respiratory infections.
saves money. preventive care is often less expensive than treating dental problems. regular check-ups and cleanings can help catch issues early before they become more serious and costly.
so, let's look at some key practices to help maintain your smile.
ੈ✩‧₊˚ brush your teeth twice a day. use fluoride toothpaste and a soft-bristled toothbrush. brush for at least two minutes, making sure to clean all surfaces of your teeth.
ੈ✩‧₊˚ floss daily. flossing helps remove plaque and food particles between your teeth and under the gumline where your toothbrush can’t reach.
ੈ✩‧₊˚ use mouthwash. an antimicrobial or fluoride mouthwash can help reduce plaque, prevent cavities, and freshen your breath.
ੈ✩‧₊˚ maintain a healthy diet. limit sugary foods and drinks, as they can contribute to tooth decay. eating a balanced diet with plenty of fruits and vegetables can support overall oral health.
ੈ✩‧₊˚ stay hydrated. drinking plenty of water, especially fluoridated tap water, helps wash away food particles and bacteria.
ੈ✩‧₊˚ avoid tobacco products. smoking and chewing tobacco can lead to gum disease, tooth decay, and oral cancer.
ੈ✩‧₊˚ replace your toothbrush regularly. change it over every three to four months, or sooner if the bristles are frayed.
ੈ✩‧₊˚ visit your dentist regularly. regular dental check-ups and professional cleanings are essential for maintaining oral health and catching any issues early.
i know that i am only reinforcing what your dentist is already telling you - but my purpose is to provide easy information and further reading resources that may teach you something new. by incorporating these practices into your daily routine, you can keep your teeth and gums healthy.
unfortunately, i know many people who ignore simple health facts (for a multitude of reasons). but this is not the way! looking after your health and your body is so important!

look clean, smell clean, feel clean 🫧🪽🕯️✨🤍
double cleanse your body! wash first with a bar soap, preferably with a wash cloth or wash glove to help with exfoliating all the dirt and sweat from the day. and replace your cloths every day. that’s why i recommend them more than using a regular loofah. those things build up so much bacteria, you’re better off using something you can wash every day. silicone brushes are great too, but do replace them after a few months. scrub well, everywhere. don’t forget neglected areas such as behind the ears, between finger & toes, belly button, etc. finish off with a body wash.
for the lady bits, keep it simple with unscented bar soap only. washing only your vulva. you want to make sure you’re cleansing between all the folds and around (and yes i know, never inside). as controversial as it is, water is not enough. sorry, argue with yourself.
hydrosilk trimstyle razor is a fav for your bikini area. billie razors are also great.
double shampoo your scalp. you’ll notice a difference. add a scalp massager into the mix!
on hair wash days, don’t forget to also wash/disinfect your hair brushes.
you can make a homemade body scrub with honey + brown sugar. lips too! or just use a exfoliating glove.
change your bedsheets weekly!!!
dry brush your body before stepping into your shower. do a few body lymphatic massages after too with a wooden body massager.
you should be brushing your teeth two times a day. flossing as well. don’t forget to give your tongue a clean. invest in a tongue scraper. and mouthwash! therabreath is my fav brand. teeth whiten every 6 months or so, depending on if needed or not. also replace your tooth brushes/heads often as recommended (every 3-4 months).
moisturize everywhere after every shower/bath. i love to lather with both body oil & lotion. don’t forget the neglected areas such as your hands, feet, elbows, etc.
i’m a two deodorant kind of girl. it’s definitely not necessary to use two, but as someone who loves smelling clean, i use both stick & spray.
as repetitive as it sounds, what you eat plays a major part in your overall scent. make sure you’re fuelling your body with good foods. hydration is also important.
find a signature perfume that suits your skin’s ph level. even better if you find a body lotion of that same scent or similar, enhances the smell! extra tip, spray some on your comb before brushing out your hair.
use safe feminine wipes for bathroom use, rael is a great brand for wipes + pads. even better, use a peri bottle.
something i think a lot of people forget to mention, stay on top of your laundry. attitude laundry detergent is great but any works fine. i also like using baking soda or vinegar to remove any odours, especially for my towels. keep small organza bags with lavender inside your closet/drawers to keep the freshness (i’ve seen people also use scent beads but i don’t use those personally). fold them as soon as they’re dry and put it away to avoid wrinkly clothes. spot treat your stains as soon as possible.
you don’t need to get a manicure all the time. however, do maintain your nails by trimming them often, cuticle oiling and scrubbing underneath nails with a small brush in the shower.
build a skincare routine that works for your skin type. keep it minimal, you don’t need an excessive amount of products. cleanser, exfoliant, serum or moisturizer is more than enough, with the occasional spot treatment & mask. not necessary, but i also like shaving my face with a face razor. definitely not something for everyone, as some do claim it makes them break out! so keep that in mind. gua shua your face for lymphatic drainage and overall skin glow.
keep your home clean. a lot of people don’t realize that you can bring around lingering odours from your home onto you.
also, ladies, pay attention to the men you’re being intimate with. make sure they practice good hygiene themselves (this applies for everyone really!). after intimacy, make sure to clean yourself off well too. your ph will thank you. if you’re concerned that your ph levels are off, speak with your gyno/doctor!
note that these tips aren’t for everyone and to follow with your discretion. 🫶🏻

👻Ghost Headcannons👻
Likes watching those primitive building videos on YouTube. He is very much convinced he could do it too. I think he’d AT LEAST be able to make a hut.
He’s not actually that clueless when it comes to flirting and being flirted with. He knows when someone is trying to come onto him. Does he understand it? No..But he’s not stupid.
Will happily wear an article of clothing until it’s falling apart (not including gear). Will patch or fix it up as best as he can until the thing just starts to disintegrate or until soap forces him to toss it.
(Always makes sure his gear and weapons are in optimal shape and replaces them as often as they need to be replaced)
Generally sticks to the same brands of products and rarely tries anything new. He knows what he likes and isn’t too fond of change (autism teehee)
Probably has his ears pierced. Pretty sure that’s not within military regulation but it’s not like anyone will see it anyways. Was definitely a spur of the moment decision that he never told anyone about. Usually just wears retainers though since earrings aren’t super comfortable when you’re wearing a mask all of the time.
Terrified of the dentist so he’s obsessive about his oral hygiene. Has only had one cavity in his life. Would honestly rather pull the entire tooth out himself instead of going to the dentist.
Definitely has a kindle that he uses to read books. Definitely reads romance.
Generally tries to stay away from books with dark themes and unhappy endings. Reading is an escape for him. He will think about a books depressing ending for days.
Whenever he becomes comfortable enough with Soap to hang out with him without his mask he really enjoys being pampered by him. Soap will sometimes do his skincare for him and he starts falling asleep while sitting up because he is so relaxed. (Of course he acts like he does t like it and is just putting up with it but Soap sees right through his bullshit)
Since he wears a mask so often he just buzzes his hair off by himself. Hasn’t had an actual haircut done professionally in years. Soap eventually convinces him to grow it out and style it whenever they are discharged from the military in the future.
Willing to live anywhere affordable and convenient but dreams of living in a little cottage in the country. Maybe have a few chickens and some other farm animals. (He’s convinced he’ll die before any of that can happen though so he never puts much thought into it).
Honestly a pretty intelligent guy. He didn’t do well in school due to his fucked up home-life but in a different world he’d probably be able to go into an ivy-league college.
One of those kids who was obsessed with ancient Egypt. He’s still interested in it and occasionally looks into any new discoveries.
Sometimes decides to act or do things completely uncharacteristic of himself just to fuck with other people. Walks into the team kitchen one morning wearing bright pink booty shorts on morning and Price nearly chokes to death on his coffee. Soap and Gaz almost die choking on their breakfast. Ghost acts like nothing is out of the ordinary when questioned. These shenanigans would only happen like once or twice a year though.

Hi! Do you have an easy peasy guide to skincare and hygiene for depressed dummies? 😃
Hi love! Sharing a high-level, basic skincare routine and hygiene tips to follow:
Morning Skincare:
Gentle facial cleanser & water
Vitamin C serum + hyaluronic acid
Facial moisturizer
Sunscreen designed for your face (at least SPF 50 – I think that this La Roche Posay SPF 60 choice is the best option for the money)
Apply sunscreen to your hands, neck, and any parts that will be exposed to the sun (Don't forget to use an SPF lip balm, too!)
Nighttime Skincare:
Remove any makeup (I love these Simple makeup wipes!)
Gentle cleanser
Toner/serums (only use AHAs like glycolic acid or lactic acid and retinol/retinoids at night, using them during the day can increase chances of sunburning)
Facial moisturizer (can be heavier than the one you use during the day, especially in the winter or if you have dry skin)
Spot treatments (if needed)
Eye cream
Skincare Extras:
Exfoliate your face 2-3 times/week (I love the First Aid Beauty Radiance Pads but the CeraVe Renewing Salicylic Acid Cleanser is a great drugstore option!)
Always use disposable cloths instead of a regular towel on your face to reduce bacteria, breakouts, or infections (I love the Clean Skin Club ones!)
Exfoliate your body 2-3 times a week using a dry brush or a scrub (I love the CeraVe Salicylic Acid Body Cleanser, but my favorite is the OUAI Sugar Scrub) and follow it up with a hydrating body moisturizer
Always exfoliate and moisturize before shaving, waxing, or other body hair removal treatments (look up the timeframes for the type of hair removal you choose)
Scrub under your nails daily with antibacterial soap & water and a nail brush
Vaseline is a versatile staple item that can be used as an affordable alternative to an eye cream, cuticle oil, lip balm, or hand cream, and can be used to treat any dry, cracked, or rough patches on the skin
Use a hand lotion and moisturizer on your feet with socks every night before bed
Aloe vera and coconut oil are great skincare staples to keep on hand to soothe burns, irritation, or inflamed skin
Haircare Tips:
Shampoo your skull, condition the rest: Focus shampoo on your roots and work it through your scalp; concentrate conditioner on the ends and work your way up until you reach the base of your skull - around your upper ear lobe
Always comb, never brush, your hair when wet: Gently use a wide-tooth comb, from root to tip, on wet hair to prevent breakage
Use a special towel to dry your hair: My favorite is from Crown Affair (pricey for what it is but worthwhile in the long-term), but a Turbie Twist from the drugstore works infinitely better than a regular towel that weighs down and causes frizzy, damaged hair
Always use a heat protection spray before blow drying or straightening/curling your hair: (Briogeo and Oribe products are my love for all haircare products, including their blowdry creams – also love R +Co. for a heat protection styling mist)
Choose your hair ties wisely: Use seamless or silk hair ties exclusively to prevent breakage or awkward creases on your hair. Wear a silk scrunchie if you prefer. These hair ties from Amazon are my holy grail (only $7 for 100 hair ties!), and they come in a portable ziplock bag
Use dryer sheets to minimize hair frizz and water or Vaseline to slick back fly-aways
Other Hygiene Tips:
Brush teeth, floss, & skincare (2x/day); Get a water pick, too, if you can!
Use a toothbrush cover at all times; Close the toilet seat before flushing
Wash your body towels at least once a week
Wash your pillowcases weekly and sheets at least once every 2 weeks
Throw out and replace your mascara every 2-3 months
Change your underwear and socks daily or more after sweating/working out
For those who menstruate, change your pad or tampon every 3-4 hours
Vulva owners: Use a fragrance-free soap on the outside, only water to clean the inside – no fancy wipes or douching. Wipe front to back!
Wear cotton underwear whenever possible; Find a fabric that breathes
Have a similar buttocks cleansing routine that you do for your face to prevent embarrassing zits or acne
Don't shave between waxes; Use tweezers if necessary a few days after your hair removal treatment
Always wash your hands before touching your face
Hope this helps xx
