I wish you guys could understand how much it sucks that this season really does seem to give the POSSIBILITY of something ACTUALLY shifting in terms of Buddie, but Kr*sten did so much damage and had me so pissed and scarred from the Season 6 finale that I spent this whole goddamn hiatus conditioning myself to stop getting my hopes up.

Okay, so maybe Tim has no business being in Bludhaven. Tim maintains that since his parents fail at parenting, he can do whatever he wants.
Besides, it's for a good cause. Like, not letting Tarantula get her dirty hands on his big brother in another time line. Tarantula had popped up in the Bludhaven servers - by that, Tim means the endless amounts of threads and underground fronts for criminal activity that he stalks on a regular basis- by being seen with Nightwing. Tim had immediately booked a ride to Bludhaven and bought another burner. He'd try to take care of her himself, but if worse comes to worse, he'd call Deathstroke. He's totally aware of the weird tension Deathstroke has with Nightwing and Tim's kind of banking on that.
Dick's been back in Blud for two months now, Jason having assuaged his mother hen tendencies enough for Dick to get sick of the Manor. Tim hadn't meant to follow since he had plenty of projects to work on now that "SAVE JASON" wasn't blaring at the top of his head.
But then Tarantula appeared and Tim saw red, remembering the way Dick spoke about her and what she did to him.
He bids the driver goodbye. The driver doesn't question his being on his lonesome mainly because 1) Gothamites mind their own busines, 2) Tim gave him a $500 tip to make sure he remains a "good" Gothamite cabbie, and 3) Tim made sure he was dropped off in the swankiest, most ostentatious hotel Bludhaven had to offer.
"Rich people," the cab driver had muttered as Tim closed the door. Perfect.
Tim got his keycard, having checked in under Alvin Draper over the phone. Normally, they'd require an in person visit, but money talks. And people listened when Tim had a lot of things to say.
Tim even feels like he's trained enough to go out! Lady Shiva's training was ingrained into his memory, and Tim's built enough muscle to make use of some of it. He is still nine, after all. He's so much stealthier this time around. Plus, he's got almost his full tool set back. Sure, some of the tech is ancient, but he managed to finagle it to make grappling guns and smoke pellets more along the quality that he's used to.
Tim waits until nightfall, looping the surveillance around his window to mask his exit. Tim adjusts his domino, eyes scanning the city skyline as his handheld computer (god, he can't believe he has to invent wrist computers) tracked reports of Nightwing through Tweetings.
Ah. He's around Seventh. Tim grimaces as his untested joints adjusts to the grappling guns. His dark clothes make him hard to spot, to his advantage as he tracks down Nightwing.
Tim watches, perched on an adjacent roof as Nightwing takes down a crowd of goons with the flips Tim remembered watching from afar and up close in another timeline.
"Blockbuster'll kill everyone you love, Nightwing!"
Tim winces at the rather brutal crunch that followed, Nightwing having punched the guy and knocked him out in one move. He watches Dick sigh, tugging at his hair in stress.
Tim could... no, no. He shouldn't think of murder as a first option. Well, no, he shouldn't think of Deathstroke as a first option. But he'll need to take Blockbuster out before anything happens. And he needs to threaten the new Tarantula before anything happens. He won't allow her to even get close to Dick.
Maybe it's unfair to punish her for a crime she hasn't done, but unlike murder, rape can never be defended. Catalina Flores is a dead woman walking.
Tim stalks his big brother back home and then broke off to begin his short reign of terror over Bludhaven's underground. If he can't get Dick to take a break (and Tim's tried, a lot, over the years) then he'll make sure that the next month is as gentle as possible on his older brother.
Step 1. Murder Take care of Blockbuster
Step 2. Threaten Catalina Flores and her brother.
No. Wait. Tim has a better idea. He's got dirt on them, on top of the murder thing. He'll fabricate Catalina's tax returns, embezzle a shit ton of money from the IRS, and get her and her corrupt brother (because getting your sister out from murder charges is considered corrupt) arrested and locked away. And he'll make sure they stay locked away with some good old blackmail on Amanda Waller.
Tim grins, tranquilizing the building with an ungodly amount of knock out gas pellets, to riffle through the police precinct's files.
Step 2. Threaten Catalina Flores and her brother.
Step 2. Cripple Catalina Flores and her brother with blackmail and the IRS.
In three hours, Tim has everything he needs to begin a temporary hostile takeover. He's got the names of local mob bosses, the big players, and the names of practically every police officer that takes bribes and their... sponsors.
He'll have to cut off Blockbuster's lines of supplies first. Then, blacklist him from local suppliers, mobilize the police precinct against him (by imitating his M.O. perfectly- Tim's not a fucking amateur- and pretending to rob the precinct blind), and then break his knees.
Step 3. Profit
Tim takes out his shiny new burner phone, enjoying the loud sounds of the police squawking through his planted bugs. He lounges on the building next to it, keeping an eye out for Nightwing just in case the man decides to respond to the crisis.
[Unknown: It's RR.]
[Deathstroke: New phone?]
[RR: Who dis?]
[Deathstroke: What?]
[RR: Nevermind. I'll give you forty thousand to shoot someone's knees out.]
[Deathstroke:... That's it? Who?]
[RR: Blockbuster. Bludhaven. Extra twenty thousand if you tell him he's got the spine of a sea slug, kick him in the balls, and post it on Tweeting.]
[Deathstroke: What did he do to you? Deal.]
Tim ignored Deathstroke's question.
[RR: Half sent. Confirm?]
[Deathstroke: Confirmed. Timeline?]
[RR: Three weeks. 21 days.]
[Deathstroke: Confirmed.]
----
Tim grins ferally, all teeth as Catalina Flores looked on in horror at her computer screen.
"Get out of Bludhaven, and don't come back. If you even think of going near Nightwing, I will rip what's left of your pathetic, sniveling swine of a brother apart. You will not enjoy the consequences."
Tim clicks off, watching Catalina and her brother launch themselves into mad packing. He tapped out a short message to Amanda Waller for her and her team to intercept them at the state lines. They'll never get away from Tim's fury. Never.
[Waller: It's done.]
[Waller: I will find you.]
[RR: You can definitely try, Waller. Good doing business with you.]
Tim can see the blood vessel the woman popped after he sent that last message. He laughs.
He saves Deathstroke's video from Tweeting onto his actual, spoofed phone. He destroys the burner phone, less shiny now that he's dragged it through two and a half weeks of breaking heads and terrorizing the Bludhaven Underground. Nightwing hadn't even gotten a whiff of his activities, this Dick being far less experienced and known in this version of Blud.
One more week and Tim can continue his other projects.
----
Nightwing, going about his vigilante business: wow it sure is peaceful
Feral Tim Drake, Nightwing's scary dog privilege: try me, bitch

Okay, so I’m a fan of Brain Dead - these two overworked boys who need hugs, melatonin, and to sleep in a comfortable pillow fort while wrapped in soft blankets like burritos (bonus points if it’s actual tortilla-pattern blankets) - and I’m also a fan of petty revenge like -
Tim accidentally getting married to Ghost King Danny because Red Robin got captured and used as a sacrifice by a cult to summon the Ghost King to reign destruction but mishap someone forgot to read up on their runes so the “sacrifice” was actually a “sacrificial bride”, meaning magical contract between GK!Danny and Tim.
And Danny, when he gets summoned and realizes what happened, is like, nope. Takes down the cultists, does abscond with Red Robin just to explain the situation and how right now, the dude is his Queen Consort or co-king because magically enforced marriage at least they don’t have to copulate that would have been even worse. And Tim is just computer crashing as he gets an information dump on how one, there’s another realm that’s, two, filled with dead people who, three, is ruled by a guy his age and who, four, Tim is now married to because, five, cultists really need to do their hOMEWORK WHAT THE HELL -
And did I mention that the contract lets them know no secrets between them? So Danny knows who Tim is meaning he knows who the Batfam is but that’s okay since Tim knows who Danny is and oh wow that explains a lot about Jason now with the ecto-contamination by impure ectoplasm -
And Tim really doesn’t want to tell the Batfam what happened since he still has insecurities regarding his place in the family which isn’t helped by their treatment - and Danny is seething because him and Tim actually get along pretty well as friends and Tim has quickly worked his way into Danny’s Obsession of Protecc because Danny will always protect those he cares about and he doesn’t like how Tim gets treated especially when it came to learning about Tim’s missing spleen.
Now here’s the funny part of this AU - because of the marriage contract between Danny and Tim, Tim gets the perks of being Queen Consort/co-king in having power over ectoplasmic beings, so when Jason’s going in on Tim who has been stressed from the situation despite Danny and Tim’s new friends in Sam, Tucker, Valerie, Jazz, and Dani (and Dan if you want to include him) doing their best to help him destress which he greatly appreciates, is still operating on little to no sleep, AND just found out that somebody replaced his extra strong coffee with decaf, Jason who calls Tim “Replacement” one last time -
“SHUT THE FUCK UP!” Tim snarled at Jason, his eyes glowing a scarily familiar green to the Batfam. Jason’s own eyes began to glow green in response, but instead of his feeling angry, the Pits encouraging him to hurt, Jason can feel the Pits actually COWERING back instead this time, and an incredible urge to not say another peep.
Meanwhile the rest of the Batfam is also freaking out because holy shit when did Tim take a dip in the Pits?!

Attitude adjustment
Summary: Tim is sick of your attitude.
Warnings: NSFW, 18+. Praise, eventual smut (not in this part) teasing.
Note: ah I love Tim bradford okay that's all. Likes comments and reblogs much appreciated , please be kind this is my first fic for weeks.
There will be a part 2 coming soon! 👀
Tumblr media
It's ridiculous, you long graduated from being a rookie and Tim still treats you like he did your first year on the job.
Only difference is now, you give as good as you get.
And Tim? He's sick of it
Every time you open that pretty mouth of yours and respond with that teasing tone, that small smile that knows he can't get rid of you now, his cock strains in his pants. The way you stick your tongue between your teeth after you've talked back to him makes him think so many sinful things he struggles to reign in his composure. His knuckles turn white around the steering wheel, because of course he's not letting you drive.
He corners you in the locker room, both hands on either side of you, trapping you.
"You, are driving me nuts" he sneers, taking a deep breath.
Your heart thumps in your chest.
"You have a bad attitude, boot"
"Im not your boot anymore"
"Yeah? You should be, thought I did a pretty good job of snuffing out that little bit of defiance, I guess not" he runs his thumb across your lip as he speaks.
His eyes bore into you, watching, waiting, he doesn't miss the way your eyes go wide with lust at his actions.
"You like them fiesty, officer bradford" you sneer out the last part, or try to, but you are far too turned on for it to sound mean at all.
Tim leans in, places his forehead on yours.
"I am going to fuck that attitude out of you" he whispers.
Arousal pools between your legs at his words.
"That's what you need? Isn't it?" His hand grips your jaw.
You nod.
"No, I need words" he states softly, his finger tracing your jawline as he waits for your consent.
"Yes" you say firmly
"I want this- I need this, need you" you continue.
Tim smiles, moving his hand to the back of your neck.
"God, I was hoping you'd say that" he tightens his grip on your neck before crashing his lips into yours.

Been seeing a lot of de-aged Tim posts now you will be burdened with this small little thought I had.
I feel like Tim believes that he got away with the way he used to make sure Bruce behaved bc he was young and cute, yk? Bc Bruce’s weakness is young boys with black hair and big blue eyes.
So in Tim’s mind when he sees Bruce slipping back into ✨ violence ✨ he wishes that he was still young bc then Bruce would listen to him instead of ignoring all of Tim’s attempts to help and it’s not like anyone else is going to do anything.
A favor to Zatanna called in later and suddenly Tim is physically 12 yrs old but he’s mentally 17 yrs old. Not that anyone knows that second part though.
Cue the reign of tiny Tim once again hounding on Bruce to take care of himself, armed with a chloroform bottle and a dream. And Bruce let’s him bc he wants to do better by Tim but again, no one knows Tim still has all of his memories.
And while Tim is whipping Bruce back into shape he ofc is being a menace to everyone else. As a treat. He deserves some stress relief too.

Brotherly Love Pt.6 J.T D.W
Tumblr media
Summary: You get hurt by a frightened Meta-human, and your brothers become defensive.
Warnings: injury, a gun, death threats.
~☆~
It was Friday, and you agreed to spend time at Penelopes apartment with her and Reign. Not yet used to the idea of staying the night with someone, but they were happy with whatever you were comfortable with.
The three of you laughed in sync over a stupid joke, until you were cut off by a loud crash coming from outside, screams of terror following soon after. Penelope let out a yell as Reign held onto her as a way to calm down her nerves, which hardly helped because she could feel how badly he himself was shaking.
Reign yelled out for you as you creeped up to Penelopes bedroom window to see what the noise was. In the middle of the street, you could see your father...well, Batman. Robin's unintelligible yelling could be heard, but you couldn't see him, that is until he popped up right in front of you, suprise evident on his masked face as he realized who you were.
Reign and Penelope retreated further into the apartment to try and distance themselves from the noises coming from outside, screaming your name as they tried to get you to follow them. You fought with yourself on whether you should go help or not. On one hand, you were a trained assassin. On the other hand, you were a random Gotham civilian.
Your legs moved faster than your brain as you ran out of Penelopes apartment, running down the flights of stairs rather than taking the probably non working elevator. Stopping your movements once outside you gazed into the street, watching as Batman tries to talk to a boy around your age. Robin is creeping up behind him, a thick type of collar in his hands as he attempts to get close to the boy. A hand landing on your arm alerted you, causing your reflexes to move faster than your brain. Your movements falter as you recognize the man, Red Robin, Tim, your brother.
"Get inside Y/N." He says in a stern tone that's still laced with concern.
"But-" you try to argue with him.
"Y/N!" You could tell by the slight whine in his voice that he's wasn't telling you he's begging you. You nod before turning to look at your father one more time, instinctively your gaze moved to the boy he was talking to. Your eyes trailed down to the boys hand. It flexed as if he was going to shoot something out of it. Looking back up at his face, you could see his eyes dart to the side, trying to see Robin, as if he knew he was there. He must have heard Robin because his hands shot up towards Batman, your legs ran towards your father, attempting to push him out of the way. Whatever invisible force the boy shot at Batman was now colliding with you, sending you flying into the brick wall of a building. A jolt of pain overtook your body, and the air was knocked out of your lungs, making you gasp. Each breath only filled you with agony. Your eyes drooped as you watched a fugure run towards you, cupping your face as it finally got by your side. You attempted to keep your eyes open for longer, but being able to hold them got harder by the second, a muffled voice came out from beside you, yelling out at the men in the street then whispering to you.
"Y/N, please stay awake!" The muffled voice pleaded as they watched your eyes close, darkness engulfed your vision, and ringing in your ears started as you passed out.
~☆~
Your eyes slowly peeled open as you awoke, the bright light above you made it hard. A hand grabbed your arm as you finally got your eyes open, coming face to face with the same green eyes you had hardly seen before passing out. Damian's voice slowly filled your ears as he attempted to tell you where you were, you knew exactly where you were. Tucked into the corner of the Batcave, in the little makeshift hospital room that was added on for moments like this.
Your body attempted to sit up much against Damian's protests. However, you didn't make it far because the pain overtook your ribs. Damian tried to coax you into laying back down, but you continued to try and get off of the bootleg hospital bed, Damian's hands snaked around your abdomen as your feet touched the ground.
"Where is he?" You croaked out, trying to find out if the boy was okay.
"Absolutely not." Damian stated, already knowing that you were going to try and talk to the boy. Tim came around the corner, still in his Red Robin gear.
"He's out here." He whispered as he took you from Damian's hold.
Walking further into the batcave you spot a giant clear box, the boy from earlier inside of it, with the collar Damian held in the street around his neck. Tim held you up before you swatted his arms off of you, leaning against the cage that the boy was in. Tim guided Bruce away from the two of you, sensing that you wanted to be alone for the moment.
As you heard their footsteps get further away you finally looked at the boy, his dirty blonde hair fell into his eyes as he looked down at the floor.
"Hello." You whispered, trying to grab his attention. His head shot up as he stared at you with wide eyes, his eyebrows furrowed as he stared at your hunched body.
"I-im so sorry." He whimpered out, seemingly trying not to cry as he looked at you with banages around your torso. You let a gust of air out of your nose as you chuckled, trying to lighten up the situation with a laugh.
"You were scared." You smiled at him "You were scared, right?"
He looked back down at the floor, picking at his fingers before nodding his head.
"Whats your name?" You asked, his head once again shot up to look at you, confused as to why you were standing here asking for his name after he threw you into a building.
"Arkin...kinda like Arkham." He whispered.
"Hello Arkin, I'm Y/N." You introduced yourself, smiling even wider, causing Arkin to quickly look back at the ground.
"They're gonna take me away." He whispered again, breaking the silence that had taken over the cave.
"I know, but I'll make sure you're okay." Arkins head slowly rose back up to look at you, blush evident on his cheeks. A shy smile crossed his lips before quickly falling again as Red Hood stormed into the cave.
"GET AWAY FROM THEM!" He yelled at the boy, talking about how Arkin was right in front of you now, rather than huddled in the corner of the cage. Jason was obviously seething with rage as he grabbed you from behind and pushed himself in front of you, pointing a gun at the clear material that kept Arkin separate from you. You were about to try and calm Jason down before your father and other brothers stepped in to help.
"Hood, please calm down." Batman tried to coax Jason.
"CALM DOWN? HE HURT Y/N!" Red Hood yelled.
"Guys please stop!" You yelled out, only your words fell onto deaf ears.
"I'm siding with Hood, you should be seething father." Damian calmly spoke, not caring that Arkin heard him call Batman 'father'.
"Please, he was scared!" You tried to reason, Tim nodded along with you, trying to signifythat he's on your side no matter what.
"I SHOULD PUT A BULLET IN HIS HEAD!" Red Hood screamed, pulling his gun back up to the box, obviously it meant nothing, the material that held Arkin was made to stop meta-humans, no bullet could peirce through it.
"JASON, ENOUGH!" Bruce yelled, making everyone stare at him.
"IM PISSED BELIEVE ME, BUT HE IS A CHILD!" Bruce yelled again.
Everyone stared at Bruce with looks of shock, Jason lowered his gun before looking away, jaw clenching as he thought of what to say. He turned to look at you before pushing against Bruce and heading up to the Manor. Bruce let put a sigh as he turned to look at Tim and Damian. Your eyes landed on Arkin, who had tears streaming down him face.
"Take Y/N upstairs." Bruce whispered, turning to look at Arkin himself.
~☆~
The two boys held you around your waist and shoulders as they held you up in the hidden elevator that the batcave had, Damian eyes never once left your face. The doors opened, displaying the luxurious Manor, Alfred was already waiting for the three of you to arrive. He tried to take you from both of the boys' arms only to earn a glare from Damian.
Tim stepped away as Alfred took his place at your side, walking you upstairs to your room.
~☆~
Alfred lightly layed you in bed, Damian just stood watching your aching body try to stay awake. Even though you had just awoke from being knocked out, you still had the desire to sleep for the rest of your life. Alfred made sure that the pillows were layed to your liking and you were tucked in comfortably before pressing a kiss to your forehead and walking back downstairs.
"Go take a shower." You told Damian who hadn't left the room yet, his Robin costume still clinging to his skin. The boy stood watching you a little longer before finally leaving you to your slumber.
~☆~
When you awoke, there was a body next to you, petting your hair with their hand. You breathed in, seeing if you could uncover who it was without opening your eyes. Gunpowder was the first thing you smelled. It was strong, masking the other scents that clung to the body. Tobacco, leather, slight scent of lavender, and the smell that sticks to the room after you've baked.
"Jason?" You croaked out, trying to see if your guess was right.
"Yeah kid, it's me." He whispered, still playing with your hair.
Your eyes opened, finally revealing the man beside you. He wasn't in his full Red Hood gear like he was earlier. He lacked both masks, and his jacket was discarded, along with his shoes. His hand that wasn't toying with your hair lifted up to point at your nightstand, well, the book that layed upon it. It was the same green book that Jason had read and given to you when you met him, the one that had its name rubbed off and the spine falling apart.
"What did you think?" He asked with genuine interest.
"I didn't really take you as a romance type of guy." You teased him, both of you let out a chuckle at your comment.
"It was good though, i liked the part where Madelyn punched that one guy." You confessed. Jason stared down at you with a smile on his face, watching as you went into more detail about the book, but were cut short when you tried getting out of bed.
"What are you doing?" He questioned, sitting up himself.
"I want to go see Arkin." You told him, Jason only furrowed his brows.
"Who?" He asked you, you only looked back at him with wide eyes.
"I...I need to go down to the Batcave." You whispered, turning away from Jason and standing up.
"No!" Jason almost yelled as he walked around the bed, trying to get you to sit back down. "Absolutely not, Y/N." He said sternly.
"Jason, please." You whined, looking up into his eyes.
"He hurt you!" Jason tried to reason, holding you tighter as you tried to escape him.
"Jason he's scared." You whined again, still trying to get out of his grasp.
"Y/N, No!"
"BRUCE!" You yelled out, hoping that he would barge in and help you. Jason's grasp on your arms loosened as you yelled out for your father, giving you and opportunity to get out of your room. As you walked down the hallway you passed Bruce, who was seemingly heading to where you called him, your hand raised as you pointed to your room, where Jason still stood, hoping that Bruce could talk to him.
~☆~
You walked down into the batcave, wanting to bid goodbye to Arkin before he was sent off to God knows where. Damian however was already stood infront of the cage that Arkin layed in, seemingly asleep.
"Go back upstairs Y/N." Damian spoke, already knowing it was you who was walking up to him.
"I wanted to see him." You whispered, the way you were hunched over put you at the perfect level to look into Damian's eyes. The boy next to you let out a sigh as he let his eyes land on you, his body still facing the cage.
Damian and you stood there until Arkin started to stir, that was enough to make Damian walk off, back to the Manor.
"Y/N?" Arkin croaked as he caught sight of you.
"Hey..." You whispered to him.
"What are you doing?" He questioned.
"Um, I have water." You mentioned, opening the lock that opened a little window for things to be placed in. Arkin watched you, expecting you to place the bottle into the cage and close the window back up. His eyes widened as you didn't let go of the bottle, a small smile stretched on your lips as you waved your hand a bit, giving him a go-ahead to grab the water. Arkin slowly scooted forward, reaching an arm out. Your fingers lightly touched each other before Arkin quickly retracted his hand.
"I'm sorry." He whined, retreating further into the cage, distancing himself from you.
"Hey, you're okay, Arkin." You smiled at him, lightly placing the bottle on the ground. Arkin's lips slightly raised at the corners as he listened to you. The boy in front of you grabbed the bottle, downing the water inside, his eyes stayed locked on your own as you watched him. The door to the little window stayed open as you and Arkin sat in silence. You knew you were gonna have to talk to Bruce about staying in contact with the boy in front of you.
~☆~
As you made your way back up to the Manor, you decided that it was probably best if you call Reign, knowing he'd still be with Penelope. Your disappearing act probably wasn't the best thing you should've done to them. The phone only rang twice before it was immediately picked up.
"Hey are you guys okay?" You questioned, hoping that they would say yes.
"Are we okay?!" Reign yelled "Y/N, you're the one that ran out there and didn't come back!" He exclaimed, still speaking loudly.
"I'm fi-" You started before being cut off.
"Y/N, BABY! ARE YOU ALRIGHT?!" Penelopes voice yelled, desperate to hear from you.
You let out a little chuckle before talking about how they shouldn't wory, you're back at home and taken care of.
The three of you talked until the elevator doors opened and you walked into an empty room of the Manor. After bidding goodbye, you walked into the living area of the house that was surprisingly empty. You would've figured that at least someone would've been in there.
You plopped down on one of the couches, allowing your aching body to relax from your standing. Almost immediately, Ace ran into the room, jumping up to your side and resting his head on your thigh. Dick came running into the room after him, yelling out your name and settling on the other side of you, hugging your head in between his arms. You let out a groan as your ribs started hurting from the way your body leaned into Dick. He immediately let go of you and rested his head on your shoulder. Tim walked into the living room after hearing a commotion, Ace jumped from the couch and onto the floor, next to your feet.
"You feeling okay?" Tim asked as he sat beside you. You let out a tight smile and nodded your head yes. Your body was tense because of both of the men resting their heads on you. Physical contact was still something you were getting used to.
~☆~
Bruce and Alfred walked into the living room side by side, but stopped in their tracks as they caught sight of the three of you on the couch.
Dick, Tim, and yourself were passed out cold, leaning on one another for support. Alfred retrieved a blanket to place over the three of you, whilst Bruce watched with a smile on his lips.

Toby
Tumblr media
Usually its pretty obvious when Toby's having a bad/rough day
He is one of the few creeps who doesn't mind wearing his emotions on his sleeve
So when he comes home from work an hour or so late, more twigs and dirt in his hair and on his face than usual, and doesnt even bother to bid you hello, you know somethings up
So you make a quick trip to McDonald's, and get him his favorite
10 piece chicken nugget meal with sweet and sour sauce, and a medium sweet tea
When you get back to the manor, there is no sign of Toby anywhere
So you go ahead and go up to his room, where you hear the shower running
You put his food on his nightstand, turn off the lights, light a few candles and pull up his favorite tv show
While you wait, you go ahead and pick up his very dirty uniform that reeks of dirt and dead things, and go ahead and put it in the washer for him
About 30 minutes later, he emerges with a towel wrapped around his waist and another towel in his hands that he uses to dry his hair
He jumps a little bit when seeing someone in his room, but when he notices that it's you, he calms down
He doesn't speak to you as he shuffles over to his dresser and picks out some sweatpants and a baggy band t-shirt he got from Tim
After putting his clothes on, he comes to lay on his bed with you, putting his head on your chest and awaiting the headrubs
You wrap an arm around him lazily and use your other hand to stroke his damp hair "do you wanna talk about it?"
He shakes his head
"Ok. I got you some food" you say, offering a fry
He takes and eats it, before sitting up and eating the rest of his meal
All the food is gone and he is still sipping on his drink when he finally speaks "thank you." Is all he says
You smile and kiss his shoulder "of course, love"
Jeff
Tumblr media
Jeff is another one that you can easily tell when he's upset
He has very explosive anger that can sometimes get out of control
And depending on what hes done and who hes hurt, he can sometimes feel very guilty when he comes to
Which is exactly what happened this time
He's punching walls, throwing things, screaming, you name it
No one really knows what triggered this, but Liu eventually tries to step in
Liu is almost immediately shut down, because as soon as he tries to say anything, jeff is shoving him up against a wall and screaming at him next
Which of course, triggers Sully to front
So now Jeff and Sully are in an all out fist fight, and Jeff ends up hurting him pretty bad
Sully ends up with a gnarly concussion and has to spend the night in the medical wing
Now, jeff doesnt feel bad about hurting sully at all, but he does feel bad that he hurt his brother's body
So he shamefully locks himself away in his room, refusing to come out for anything
After an hour of trying to convince him to at least let you in, you instead decide to go get him a tasty treat to make him feel better
You go to a sushi restaurant and get him his favorite rolls, then make a trip to a gas station to get him some arizona tea, mango flavored
When you get home, you slide his food under his door (pretend it wouldve fit 💀) and await a response
You are met with him taking the food and eating slowly, before he eventually lets you in
You spend the rest of the night consolling him, sitting in his lap and telling him that it'll all be ok
He does end up thanking you for the sushi, but its not until a week later when his ego is all better
And in the morning, you take him to see Liu, who is totally playing it up to make jeff feel exxxxtra bad (lmao what losers)
Eyeless Jack
Tumblr media
Unlike the other two, jack is very hard to read
He almost always has the same, neutral expression on his face
His emotions only show if he especially vulnerable, like during a blood moon or around other demons, etc
And even then, he tries his hardest to remain nonchalant
So when you finally find him in the library, pacing around, you know somethings bugging him
You know its not gonna be easy to get it out of him though, so you go to his favorite steakhouse and get him steak, loaded mashed potatoes, and water
You come back to the library where he is still pacing, seemingly very deep in thought
You place his food down on one of the long library tables, and watch as his pointy nose twitches, and his eyes flick over to the food
He comes over to the table, where you are now sitting and points at the food "is this for me?" He asks
You nod and he sits next to you, beginning to eat in a way that looks quite weird, almost like hes trying to eat the way a human would, but is failing miserably due to his large teeth and multiple tongues
"What's on your mind?" You ask as he finishes his potatoes
"This and that" he mutters
"This and that being...?" You trail
"Just...a lot" he says, finally finishing his food and taking a sip of water
"I see." You say, standing and coming to drape your arms around his shoulders
"Did the food help? At least a little?" You ask, pressing a kiss to his sharp ear
"Yeah, it was nice. Thank you, dear" he says, turning his head and kissing your nose
"Anytime" you respond, allowing him to kiss you several more times all over your face

I am responsible for a life that is in jeopardy, and I will do whatever I have to to save her, do you understand?
| ANATOMY OF A SCENE - CHENFORD EDITION 2.11 - Day of Death
The juxtaposition of these two scenes - Lucy being buried alive and Tim going feral - is so powerful and haunting… They might not be together physically in those moments, but you can still feel how their own actions are being driven, fueled even, by the other. Lucy is trying to hold onto his training and her faith in him, knowing instinctively that he will do whatever it takes to find her.. And Tim is ready to burn down the city in his search for her, spiralling… But you can also see how the other's absence is starting to impact their spirit as well. They're both trying to remain as calm as possible, but there's no one to ground them...
That image of the dead tree looming over the grave site gives such an eerie and disturbing atmosphere to the scene… And so is the visual of Lucy, looking all bruised and battered. She's clearly terrified, wounded, probably still feeling woozy… But most of all, she's being defiant. She doesn't scream, she doesn't cry, she doesn't beg… She refuses to give Caleb that satisfaction, to play his mind games. And in return, she even manages to turn the tables on him, getting under his skin… and forcing him to alter his plans. That might seem inconsequential in that moment but, in the end, that's what saves her : without all her efforts, the team would have been too late. She bought them and herself some time. And that's why Tim repeatedly makes sure to remind her that she saved herself. Nyla was absolutely right in her assessment : Lucy is a fighter. She's pushing through her fear and relying so much on psychology and on her training. The way she manages to compartmentalise is so incredible. Her strength is unreal… She's remembering what Tim taught her, focusing on the procedure to calm herself down. She throws her ring as a breadcrumb for him : he once told her that the most important thing she needed was her eyes, her cop eyes. So she leaves something behind for him to find, because that's something else he taught her : she's never alone. The faith she has in him… And even her last words to Caleb are pure defiance… And true. But seeing her in that barrel is so distressing. That last shot of her trying to regulate her breathing, to stay calm and not panic is so poignant… She's on the verge of breaking down and it's so heartbreaking...
And she's not the only one : Tim is also close to reaching his breaking point, but in a very different way. He's going in a downward spiral, unravelling, with no one there to reign him in… Lucy is usually the one who can get through to him. And in some ways, this is so reminiscent of the old Tim, the one we met. Only, back then, he was punching walls or lashing out at detectives when Isabel got shot… here he is being almost unnervingly calm when he threatens that man. He has finally a target to vent his anger and frustrations to. He doesn't yell. He's not reacting, he's being very deliberate. And that it is more terrifying. He is absolutely ready to cross a line for Lucy. Remember when she told him that he was always on the right side of the law? That was when he considered for a brief moment breaking the law for his wife, before changing his mind. But now? He will do whatever is necessary to get Lucy back alive. Right or wrong. Jackson is so shocked in the background : this is a side of Tim he has never seen before. Angry? Yes. But this cold anger? No. That's the thing : Tim's reaction here is far more similar to the one he had when his wife was in danger than when his best friend got kidnapped by a cartel… Not to mention that this scene is also quite close in tone to the ones where Wesley was threatening carter members for Angela or making a deal with Elijah. Both men were ready to do whatever it took to save the women they love… Except that only one of them was married. Guilt might be a powerful motivator, but this isn't the only emotion fueling Tim here. Love was a part of it, romantic or not. He just didn't realise it yet. And it kind of makes you wonder how he would react now that they're together...
Lastly : the way both Melissa and Eric conveyed all those emotions is nothing short of brilliant. Those images of Lucy in the barrel and Tim threatening to pull that guy inside out are some of the most memorable ones from the show and they did a phenomenal job in their portrayal, the micro-expressions and the voice… They elevated the material so beautifully.

Lost Talon au 3/?
Imagine Jason’s reaction to Dick being brought back. Like, Jason was the Robin right after Dick died— he had the biggest shoes to fill, coming immediately after the original. He was constantly trying to live up to the standards Dick unknowingly set. After he nearly died by the Joker’s hand and made his own identity, Jason felt more comfortable with himself and out to bed his worries.
But then Dick comes back, and he comes back wrong.
Jason had always privately hoped that one day this older brother would appear and take the reigns for him. The he would get to meet The Dick Grayson, have that man as an older brother.
Instead, Jason is still the oldest, and now has to deal with a half-brainwashed (non-consensually!!) genetically modified 18-year-old almost assassin who’s 12ish years out of place. What the fuck. He did not sign up for this.
Tim feels much the same way. He’s older than Dick, and that’s not something that should’ve ever happened. Tim remembers seeing Dick at galas, remembers his warm tanned skin and bright blue eyes when he’d smile. Remembers being taught how to do a flip and a cartwheel by a boy who claimed to fly from chandeliers. Remembers a kind older boy sneaking him into the gardens when things got too loud and he was so young and couldn’t handle the way his parents looked at him but this older boy was giving him the time of day-
And now that boy is younger than him. Blue eyes replaced by cold, unflinching gold. Skin still tan, but paler with a gray tint to it; black veins crawl up his throat and down his arms. He’s cold to the touch. He’s still kind, but much more hesitant in showing that softness; more likely to flash his claws than return a gentle hug. And that’s not to mention the wings, over 20ft of feathers and muscle tucked between his shoulders (he still perches on chandeliers though).
Damian had never met the First Son his Father had taken in. He’s heard countless stories of the brave, kind, caring, innocent child who creates the Robin mantle. Who didn’t kill, who made jokes, who was kind and sweet and friendly. Damian, unlike the other two, didn’t worry about living up to Grayson, but to living up to the innocent he brought. How could Damian ever be a good Robin when his hands were stained with blood?
But then Grayson, Richard, had been found. And he had blood on his hands. Less so than Damian himself, of course, and less than even Todd or Drake. But still. It was blood. And he’d gone under much the same training Damian himself had. The First Robin, trained and bloodied like Damian. Who took one look at Damian wearing his family’s name and colors and beamed for the first time since they’d brought him home, wings extending to wrap around him as he cooed, who’d heard that Todd and Drake had also shared the mantle and dragged them into the hug too, proclaiming them family and his flock, “or colony if you really want to stick with the bat theme, B, but I think it’s telling that 4/4 of your sidekicks went with a bird theme, maybe you should think of being Birdman-“
Richard Grayson, who despite everything, still managed to be himself after 12 years. Damian thinks it gives him a little hope and privately, thinks that if Richard can be so good after what he’s been through, there’s a chance Damian can be good too. Not that he’s ever say that aloud; he’s the Blood Son after all, even if Richard was the First Son.

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times...
The lines play on repeat in the back of Jason’s mind as he watches the end of the world unfold around him. Of course, it also begs the question as to why he’s considering it the best of times given the end is nigh. Chaos reigns supreme. There is no law, there is no order.
There’s nothing and no one with him aside from the utterly unflappable Tim Drake, who continues to type madly into his laptop. The device should have died long ago and Jason wonders what sort of signal it even has given the Earth’s satellites are all useless scraps of space debris now.
But rather than voicing his concerns, he dutifully holds up the panel for the solar battery the laptop runs on, and makes minute adjustments when Tim asks.
The laptop will die when the sun goes down.
Jason has serious doubts as to whether he or Tim will see the dawn. But despite that, he sits with his back pressed against Tim’s and enjoys the warmth emanating from them both. It’s a nice contrast to the cold wind blowing in across the wide expanse of Wayne Manor’s once-manicured lawns. They’re together in the ruined shell of a place they once called home.
It seems fitting that they meet their ends here. Together.
The sun is kissing the horizon when the steady click clack of Tim’s fingers against the keyboard stop. “Done,” he says, his voice hoarse from lack of use and water these last few days.
“Yeah?” Jason replies, his own not sounding that much better. “That mean I can put this thing away?” He lowers the small solar panel as Tim nods.
“We should take cover.”
“Where?” Once upon a time, the Bat Cave might have been one of the most secure places on the planet, but not anymore. If they’re to have a chance at surviving, they need to leave.
Now.
“The barn should do.” Tim hauls himself to his feet and stumbles on the uneven stone of the veranda.
Jason catches hold of his arm, steadying him. “The barn? Are you nuts?”
The grin lighting up Tim’s face is more than a little manic. “Only on bad days.”
“What the hell day is today then?”
“A good day.”
It was the best of times, it was the worst of times...
“Well, in that case, lead the way.” What else can he do but follow? Jason checks his meager supply of ammo while Tim packs up his laptop and the solar battery.
“Don’t you want to know why?” Tim asks when they start trekking across the ruins of Alfred’s kitchen garden.
“Yeah, but I’m not sure I want to know the answer.”
“I reprogrammed the last defense satellite to crash into the alien mothership when their orbits cross in a few hours.”
Jason’s jaw drops. “I thought those things were all dead.”
“Not quite. This one is WE’s and has a nuclear reactor tucked away in its core.”
“How is it going to get past the ship’s shields?”
Tim’s grin grows downright smug. “The satellite now communicates on the same frequency as the mothership and the drones. It thinks our satellite is now one of its own.”
It was the best of times, it was the worst of times...
“You fucking little genius.” Jason wraps an arm across Tim’s shoulders and hauls him into a loose hug. “If this works, I think I might just kiss you.”
Pink colors Tim’s cheeks. “You can now... If you want to, I mean.”
Jason stops at the top of the rise that overlooks the ruins of Gotham behind them and stares. Over Tim’s shoulder, the sun sinks beneath the horizon, leaving behind a palette of orange, pink, and red.
It was the worst of times, it was the best of times...
“Yeah, I think I will.”

Okay okay okay I swear to the moon and back this is gonna be my final and 3rd addition to the neglected! reader idea.
I was considering the Lex Luthor path for after the reader, after years of vying for the batfamily, leaves the manor.
But no, you've got to think big. Think back to how organized crime even starts- in impoverished areas and places with low law enforcement. A lot of organized crime begins as a way to protect these poor neighborhoods from more significant threats and corruption- before they're inevitably corrupted themselves.
Reader, however, is different. A special case. Even if not directly raised by Bruce, they still have that desire for order and good in them. It can turn them into a brilliant, peerless vigilante, no doubt.
But an even better villain. After all, who better to keep all the villains in the city in line than a bigger, scarier villain. Reader might work alone on their own, at least in the beginning, but it's not long before they amass resources and connections of their own.
It starts the moment they leave the manor at 18- maybe even 16 who knows. They're forced to fend for themselves in the poorest and most destitute part of Gotham, but they survive under the radar.
They're still Bruce's kid at the end of the day after all.
Over the span of months they go from vigilante to slowly working with others and gathering up influence and control. It starts off with owning one building. Then another, then the whole street- then the whole neighborhood.
They aren't some new protege under Lex Luther, no no no, Lex is an investor in their plans. Any villain with half a brain and the intention of surviving under the new power shift in gotham is already bowing their heads.
It takes a couple years, but now another faction, another sector of gotham is born. It's crime rates are low, surprisingly so. Any and all crime no longer pointed at defenseless civilians but at corrupt businesses and people who haven't bowed down to reader's reign.
Too distracted by the reader's disappearance, the bat family doesn't even notice the near crime-free area until it's advertised on the news.
Once again, the reader's presence or lack thereof, robs them of something they had grown so familiar with.
Bruce, with the hero and savior complex of his, sees that beautiful potential for good in reader, sees how even when they deal drugs in the neighborhoods of gotham- the needles, the drugs themselves are clean.
It doesn't stop the addiction, but it minimizes the damage.
Jason bumps into reader all masked up, failing to stop a break in at city hall but noticing the way no citizen seems to flinch from your presence. Sure, they turn from your goons and their guns but not you. Never you.
There's a new, darker symbol of hope in the city now.
Tim, investigating your new crime ring sees a shipment from lex corp and notices how you build your guns for your goons. Nonlethal rounds, rounds made to stun and incapacitate. He sees your kindness and your mercy in the bullets and each time one of the bat family comes back from a run-in with your goons they are reminded of that fact.
It's a mercy they know they don't deserve
Dick wanted to break out of gotham and make an impact in another city- and he does. But there's something about the way your mere word can now send ripples through gotham that has even him shuddering a little. You're good. Very good. Efficient even. A part of him wants to be at your side, taking you by the hand and pulling you away from the darker parts of yourself that have formed. He only wonders if he'll ever get close enough to do it.
The best part or worst part about becoming a rich and wealthy individual with a crime ring at your back is that it pushes reader back into the limelight in a way that makes them untouchable to the ones they called once called "family".
Even when the sources of reader's money are... dubious, hospitals and schools are opened because their influence. Just imagine them being there for an opening event or a charity gala, brushing the shoulders of bruce wayne and dick grayson like its nothing. Maybe they change their last name, going by their mother's. Something to add distance between the two. Or even better, reader actually politely smiles when seeing them. It's sweet and serene to anyone watching but they know better. They know reader. Or at least they knew enough about reader to know there's no warm behind those eyes. Not for them. The way your eyes would crinkle when it was genuine- gone- that is, until you turn to someone else, then they see that they've been deprived of for months, years.
And they can't help but crave it.
Just imagine how independent reader is, the bat-shaped void in their heart now filled with all their work and accomplishments. They're shady, but a benevolent force to gotham, one that may rival even the wayne family so says the whispers on the street... (little did they know lol)
The press eats it up, the people eat it up, and the rest of the bat family are forced to their portion as well.
God, the bat family just being in pain at the darkness that rests in reader's hard, their desperate attempts to appeal to a reader that is now in a higher position, a higher position in comparison to some of the members- it's got to drive them all insane.
ANd oH, should they ever face reader in battle, all masked up and suited, every part of them breaks. They try to go soft, go easy, but you now have people by your side that aren't gonna let that happen. People they so desperately wish to replace.
AND IF they see you the next day at some event or maybe just taking a stroll around the park, bruises on your knuckle from punching them or a small nick on the cheek from a stray batarang... They'll be more than destroyed at what they've done... maybe even unrepairable.
ngl having written all of this in like 25 min I realize I might continue ksajhfkj if i get any ideas
FREN....this is delectable!!! I reread it like four times cuz of how amazing it is!!! You're so talented omg thank you for sending this in!! If you do write more please send it in cuz this is perfection, These concepts you've been sending are so good I think I'll have to write something for all of them omg omg loved this like villain reader with a heart of gold?? Getting shit done for her city, not caring how dirty her hands get lawd it's so good! Especially if one or more of Gotham's big bad's go Yandere for her as well.. coughyandereroguesgallerycough

Best people to kill the Joker ranked:
Bruce: 2/10 this would completely defeat the point of him as a character and throw away the entire Batman narrative but on the other hand his kids deserve it. Also Joker would never see it coming lol
Jason: 4/10 it will never be as satisfying as he needs it to be. And the point is not for him to have to do it
Dick: 9/10 LET HIM SNAP!! That’s his family. It would weigh on him for the rest of his life and he would have emotional problems over it but the Joker’s never touching any of his baby siblings/loved ones ever again
Harley: 11/10 and she doesn’t do it alone, she has friends and support there backing her up while she finishes him off. Someone films it, Harley and Ivy hug after. Ultimate catharsis and taking back her freedom
Tim: 7/10 the progression from baby stalker Tim to baby assassin Tim would be hilarious but it would cause so much family conflict. Jason would be offended that Dick or Bruce didn’t do it and declare Tim his new favorite brother. His undead alias has the last name Drake. He’ll fight Tim’s parents
Cass: -20/10 cursed option. Worst case scenario. She may run away afterwards
Stephanie: 5/10 lmao. I have to assume this is only the beginning of Steph’s reign of terror #chaoswins
Barbara: 8/10 stone cold there is no evidence whatsoever but she let Joker know it was her right before his death
Damian: 3/10 he gets grounded for committing murder but the city of Gotham also throws a parade, so it’s pretty mixed messages. He refuses to state his regret and gets grounded 3x longer
Duke: 6/10 who tf is Batman? The Signal is Gotham’s most iconic vigilante. They’re gonna put him on a coin, a golden coin. It’s limited edition and it does glow
A banana peel on the ground: -10/10 this is exactly how the Joker would wanna go out :/
Alfred: 11/10 and torture was involved. The body was disposed of very thoroughly in a way that absolutely no one ever could come back from. Proof is publicly given to the city somehow so everyone knows not to fear the Joker anymore
Commissioner Gordon: -1/10 there’s no good way to write this. Would not be handled well
Random Gothamite: 3/10 the entire city wants this man dead does he have the secret service protecting him or something? How much do you have to be paid for that to be worth it
Coordinated Justice League effort: 4/10 and they managed to do it without entering Gotham’s borders, which took significant planning. Enough is enough
Any Super: 9/10 completely impulsive, instinctive, and possibly on accident. They have to do a press conference. Twitter cannibalizes itself. Someone turns the scene into a gif. Gotham City decides Metropolis is okay now. Lex Luthor is frothing at the mouth.

Happy WIP Wednesday again friends! I have some more of chapter 17 for you after last week’s break (it has been a fucking BUSY week too holy shit)
Just a lil snack while the lore churns in the background
—————
Well You Did Get Down On One Knee part ii
The evening was beginning to draw in, the sun getting low over Gotham city. Between her patrol the night before, helping Signal out with a case, and then that brief group heart attack about Jason, it had already been a really long day.
Spoiler cracked her neck a couple times and sighed, then sunk into the shadow behind a gargoyle.
It was smaller than usual… and occupied. Robin glowered up at her, leaping up to sit on the gargoyle’s head instead. He looked for all the world like he wanted to hiss at her like a cranky cat, which diffused all of Spoiler’s tension (but would only make his worse if she mentioned it. Maybe tomorrow).
Sighing philosophically she settled back against the base of the gargoyle, tipping her head back to see him.
“Hey… what are you doing out so early? Usually you lot wait until sundown to swing from the shadows,” she pointed out (rather fairly, she thought).
Robin just scowled disdainfully down at her, then twisted his head away to glare at the city instead.
“As if I needed any more reason to be out than you do,” he sniffed archly.
Spoiler grinned, puffing herself up. She did have an answer for this one.
“Hey, I was actually requested today. Signal needed a second pair of eyes on the back door of a bust. Didn’t see you there,” she added innocently, a brow rising.
It was technically possible that Robin could have suited up and left the manor in between Bruce’s message and Tim’s response. Spoiler wouldn’t put money on it though.
He’d have had to be on his way down already, and while they could all change quickly, there were no rushed or sloppy patches to her experienced eye.
His hair was even neatly slicked back into the traditional Robin spikes, one every Robin but her and Duke had used during their time as the baby bird.
Nah, he’d not rushed out in a panic, even if he was still more tense than he should have been. Every line of the kid was tight with… Spoiler cocked her head thoughtfully.
Frustration?
Definitely not unusual, Damian didn’t have Dick’s temper but he’d spent pretty much all of his first few years in Gotham unbearably frustrated with them all. It had just been a while since she’d seen it so… visibly.
And for all Steph was a gleeful little shit and loved poking at trouble, she wasn’t cruel. There was no point in pushing Robin if he was already on edge.
So she shrugged nonchalantly and looked forward instead, reaching back over her head to pat him gently on the foot. He didn’t dodge, which only cemented her decision.
“‘Course, no rule against taking a daylight run if you’re in the mood. See anything interesting?” She asked nonchalantly.
Kid wouldn’t admit it if he had been worrying.
Silence reigned for another long moment, and then Robin huffed and dropped down to the rooftop beside her, folding himself back into the sharper shadow the daylight provided.
“No.” Short and sweet, unlike the kid himself.
But he also hadn’t left, and Spoiler was gonna call that a win.
“Will you be out tonight too?” She asked instead of pushing, reminding herself yet again; he’d open up in his own time.
Hypothetically.
Robin made a soft, disgusted noise, glowering at the smog filled sky. Probably even in the right direction for the Watchtower.
“I intend to be. Someone must keep an eye on things,” he grumbled, and Spoiler made an effort not to take it personally.
B had been majorly distracted with all this Amity Park business, not even breathing down their necks about the usual nightly reports. The rogues hadn’t exactly noticed yet, but the goons had.
The big Bat himself not making an appearance for a couple of nights usually attracted some comment, and an up-til-now entirely Bat-free new year?
The guys she’d helped Signal grab today had been muttering about it right until they ran into her arms. Fists.
They’d mentioned not seeing Stabby Robin either though.
Which she might as well also mention.
“Weren’t you out last night too? I saw your gear missing when I dropped by at the end of the night,” she added when he tensed again, hands wedged in her utility belt. “Didn’t hear you on comms though.”
And that was more than just rude; it was bad protocol, and Robin, for all his other faults, respected the strictness of protocol.
He stayed silent, not looking at her. Spoiler decided he could use just a little push.
“Y’know unless you went out tech free I can just ask Oracle,” she pointed out gently, giving his shoulder a gentle bump.
It got him to glower up at her anyway.
“I was not on patrol,” he grumbled, whites of his mask narrowed before returning his glare to the city at large, “like I am not today.”
When he didn’t elaborate, Spoiler flipped a mental coin. Figured why not; they were already doing well.
Kid must be on the verge of having to, dread the thought, ask for help.
“And what would you be doing out and about if not patrolling…” she began, then stopped when a piece clicked suddenly into place.
Robin, Damian, was about as social as a feral cat. And about as friendly with anyone who got close to those he considered his.
Right now, Danny Fenton and his friends had more than half the family utterly wound up. All except Bruce in a good way, Spoiler was the first to admit, but Robin wouldn’t see it like that.
The only trick was, how to word the question.
Spoiler liked blunt. It made her stand out from the bats, who all played way too much mental and emotional chicken to be healthy. She’d always been more of a bird that way.
“Wouldn’t have anything to do with Hood’s little disappearance today, would it?” She asked instead, grinning broadly when Robin twitched.
Hit the nail on the head.

Mending a Family 9/?
Prev | Next
Dick knows I know about you. Don’t worry, your secret is safe with me, but I don’t think they’ll ever give up.
Jason put away his phone; he would think about that later. Right now, he wanted to give Jazz all his attention and know what happened to make Danny a cute five-year-old.
“I don’t know how much you know about Danny’s and mine biological parents,” she trailed off while rocking Ellie.
“I heard enough,” Jason answered while Danny said, “Almost everything. Except how I got de-aged ‘cuz even I don’t know or the few days leading up to that.”
Jazz nodded, “good, that’ll make things easier.”
Jazz put a now asleep Ellie on the rocker and looked at Jason and Danny. They were sitting in their new living room. Jason had chosen a little house with the closest neighbor two miles away. They were still in the woods but twenty minutes from a little town with schools, a library, and a general store. Would it be easier to disappear in a city? Maybe. But Danny wouldn’t be able to use his powers as well in the city.
Plus, it’d be easier to avoid Oracle, too.
“Mom and dad were supposed to be out of the house that weekend. They were going to test a new invention. The Fenton Demoleculizer. It was supposed to tear ghosts apart ‘molecule by molecule,’ as they liked to say. It didn’t work that way.”
“Things rarely do,” Danny chirped.
Jazz sighed.
“Ellie had come that weekend to visit. They both took down a ghost and returned them to the Ghost Zone.”
“Stupid Skulker,” Danny added.
“Mom and dad caught them both transforming. They didn’t hesitate; they shot Danny first. Thankfully, I had come down the basement when mom shot Danny. If it had been dad, well, let’s say he’s a horrible shot. Thankfully, the Demoleculizer didn’t work how it was supposed to and only de-aged Danny.”
Jazz sighed and rubbed her eye.
“I was able to get Danny and throw him through the portal, which is how I assume he ended up with you. Mom and dad were furious and thought I was overshadowed. They were ranting about how they didn’t notice their baby boy was dead and were tricked by a filthy ghost. There was no talking to them.”
“In the chaos, Ellie got hit with the Demoleculizer, too. I knew there was no going back at that point, so I got her and went through the portal. Those few minutes must’ve been days here, though, because, well, you know, we didn’t land at the same place or time that Danny had.”
Silence reigned as they all digested what Jazz had said. Jason couldn’t believe any parent would turn against their child that way.
But then again, Sheila did the same to me, he thought.
“So now what,” Jazz asked, “we can’t mooch off you forever, Jason. As much as I appreciate what you’ve done, it isn’t fair that you have to feed three extra mouths now and leave your old haunt for Danny.”
“Whoa, hey, it’s no trouble to me at all. Besides, I already think of Danny as my kid, and parents are there to care for their kids.”
Jason took a deep breath, “Besides, I wasn’t in a good place before Danny. I won’t lie to you guys; I’m not a good guy. I’ve—I’ve killed before; I’ve hurt my family. If anything, I would understand if you guys don’t want to be around me.”
“When you said you’ve killed, have you ever killed innocent people or…?” Jazz left the question hanging.
Jason shook his head and told his story of how he had been killed and returned to life. The Lazarus Pit and League of Assassins were hard to get through, but Danny and Jazz deserved the truth. He told them about his return to Gotham and how he set up a criminal empire. (One that he abandoned for Danny.) He mentioned Titan Towers and his so-called revenge against Tim. He told them all his sins.
Jason turned to Danny, “Do you understand now, Danny-lad, I deserve their anger.”
Danny got up and hugged Jason tight, “You came back angry. It’s not your fault, either.”
“While I’m not too glad to hear about the killings, I understand why you did it. Besides, you’ve left that behind, and you’re taking care of Danny. I’m not here to judge but to take care of my baby brother and sister. And you, Jason, have taken in Danny and protected him. Not many people would do that. So, for that, I thank you.”
Jason almost felt like crying. The Fentons didn’t judge him, and they didn’t refuse to give him their love and forgiveness. Jason felt like he belonged to a family for the first time in a long time.
“Now, it’s time we redecorated. Isn’t that right, big brother?” Jazz asked with a smile.

Tim had been able to follow the cold anomaly north. It had disappeared somewhere in Vermont.
“What do you think it is,” Tim asked Barbara.
“I don’t know, but do you think it’s related to Jason disappearing?”
“It’s too much of a coincidence for it not to be.”
“Hmm,” Barbara hummed, “I’m going to set it up for the program to look for this anomaly in Canada. It has disappeared in the continental US; Canada is the only logical conclusion.”
“Should I tell Bruce?”
Barbara sighed, “Let’s give it a few more days and see if anything new comes up. If it doesn’t, we will have to tell him about it, but let him come up with his conclusions. If anything new shows up and leads to Jason, I suggest we observe him first instead of getting the whole family descending on him.”
“What, why?” Tim asked incredulously.
There was silence on the other side.
“Why, Barbara?”
“Tim, Jason left for a reason. There are no signs of struggles, and he took everything he had; he doesn’t want to be found by us. Shouldn’t we honor his wishes?”
“But everyone misses him. Bruce is going crazy looking for him.”
“I love Bruce, but he’s a hypocrite. He ignored Jason when he was right next door, and now that he’s gone, he wants him back. It sounds like he just wants some control, like usual,” Barbara said angrily.
“But Dick is also,” Barbara interrupted him.
“Dick isn’t much better. Look, I love everyone, but how we’ve treated Jason,” she sighed. “If he’s just living his life and not killing people, then I see no reason to make him miserable.”
“If that’s how you feel, why are you helping me look for him?” Tim couldn’t help but ask.
“Because I’m a hypocrite, too.”
Then she hung up.

So I don't know yet if I'm going to make that Barbara would help Jason from time to time and actually talked to him (kind of like how she helped him during the Cheers story line) or if she should also be one of the ones who ignored Jason. I'll think it through.

I was feeling sillay and my tism was acting up so i made this!
Tumblr media
This is me having fun, people with weird anti-selfship mentalities please just scroll past
Unlike most other sidekicks,Summer Kent wasn't introduced in a run of his mentor to be brought back later.Instead,he premired in his own series in 1983 with the writers purpose with him being to show what it would be like for Clark to take Bruce's route and adopt an orphan to raise them as both his own child and a protege. He gained what were called 'mixed reviews' but in reality was just a mix of love from black, latino, queer and autistic comic fans, female ones especially, and hatred from bigoted ones.Summer has gone through multiple, let's say,'seasonal changes' personality and design wise and this was made to help you read on when, how and why!
Sparks:Secret Origins-The solo series in question!43 solid issues,a great introduction into his character and let's you get a good grip on what he was like as Sparks,as well as his familial relathionships and longest running friendships
The New Teen Titans-A major recurring character in this run due to Dick and Kory's mentorship of him(be warned of secondhand embarrasment when it comes to his self-aware crush on Dick showing and him thinking he's just jealous of Kory when he's actually crushing on her too)
A Death in the Family-For the final interactions between him and Jason before Jason's death
The Last Day of Summer-His accidental death at the hands of Mr Freeze,DC's response to people saying Sparks and Robin don't work without eachother
Ember's Ashes-His ressurection and journey to herohood.70 issues of character development and not a single page was wasted as he grew from an angry, violent and gothic little girl to a bubbly and openly kind young adult with a love for femininity in a transgender way as he realized his genderfluidity. This coming of age tale includes his first relathionship with none other than Rose Wilson,Deathstroke's daughter and the fourth Ravager, which ends on odd but good terms.(See also Death of Superman and Reign of the Supermen as they heavily overlap with this run, including him gaining his kryptonian name as 'Va-El',given to him by a newly ressurected Clark)
Steel(1994)-Same situation as NTT,him being mentored by the protagonist and appearing as a major supporting character as a result
Superboy(1994)-Summer trifels with his greatest battle yet:Being the oldest sister to a teenage boy.Hilarity, sibling and parental angst and bonding ensue in this series, along with Summer teaching Kon-El how to make his way in the world and beating up a couple of predators in the process and him giving him some Kryptonian hybrid powers tips in thanks. Here and in Ember's Ashes is when the rest of the Superkids(Chris/Lor-Zod,Mia/Cir-El and Jon Lane or 'Laney')join the Superfamilia
Young Justice(1998)-44 to 45 and 48 to 55.Pops up in World without Young Justice as otherworld Jason's s/o,a childhood friends to lovers hero/civillian romance, and the gang convinces Kon to get him to tag along as a 'dorky babysistter' as the Boy of Steel put it after seeing how strong he is in action. This is the first time Summer thinks about mentoring younger heroes other than his adoptive siblings
Robin(1993) and Batgirl(2000)-128 to 130 and 26-38 + 53-62.Summer said 'fuck Tim,Jason's MY Robin' before they even met and Stephanie didn't get any better off until them and Cass decided to team up and now they're girl best friends(actually platonic for them and Summer, the regular meaning for Stephcass)
Lost Days-He's on Jason's mind a lot during this run if Jaysumm is your thing
Supergirls-Starring the Superfam girls as an ensemble cast, this rotates between 'Girl Power media that's actually pretty feminist and fun' and 'Weird, weird and MORE weird'(and that adds on to the feminism and fun). This includes a special crossover issue where Summer and Mia get Cassie Sandsmark to re-embrace her butchness
Under The Red Hood-Sparks and Robin finally reunite but not like they expected!Summer is heartbroken at his best friend's new found darkness and wants to save him from it but Jason just wants to patch things up.And they both get what they want in:
Ember/Red Hood-World's...strangest...ROMANCE⁉We get to see this lovebird and loverfang take the first steps to finally getting together in this 29 issue wildride!Much romance, comedy, inner torment and rubbing off on eachother(not like that!!Mind out of the gutter, people!)gets done but sadly no actual kissing
Tiny Titans-Shows up pretty often thanks to being Superman's oldest kid and the second Superkid to debut in canon, usually as an mc and is in a comedic love square with Jason,Eddie and Rose as the center
We are Robin-3-9.Gets very close to the 12 year old Duke Thomas and to his gang to a lesser extent and is the reason he gets adopted by Bruce and made the official 5th Robin(Overlaps with Ember/Red Hood)
The Bird and The Dragon-Mini 13 issue series of him and Damian becoming found siblings and him Damian's first friend(Overlaps with Ember/Red Hood and Batgirl(2009))
Batgirl(2009)-Appears in every other issue so it's best to just read all 60 of them! Many epic black girl friendship momence between Summer and Stephanie + Jason comes in from time to time to cause problems on purpose(and to flirt with Summer)
Red Hood and the Outlaws-Summer finally joins a team and never like he thought he would.Jason's influence on him turned him into a different person again like when they were sidekicks but this time making him into the brightly destructive vigilante Ignite, hated by Metropolis once more for his antiheroics and turning over a new leaf because of it!This 92 issue series brings back familiar faces from Jason and Summer's pasts and tons of new ones, stacked with fantasy elements, trauma, jokes, epic fights, genuine bonding that a good chunk of them don't care to admit to,fanservice that caters to bisexuals and Jaysumm's canonization! But only near the end because ✨drama✨
The lineup for this team is:Jason Todd as Red Hood and briefly a Star Sapphire,Eddie Bloomberg as Red Devil,Rose Wilson as Ravager and eventually Willow,Summer Kent as Ignite,Artemis of Bana-Mighdall simply as 'Artemis',Kyle Rayner as Green Lantern,Pepper Jackson(@moonage-gaydream)as Star Sapphire and Thaddeus Thawne as Inertia. The team technically disbands by the end but they all remain best friends and keep in touch!
Gotham Academy:Second Semester and Gotham Academy/Lumberjanes-Major support once more(and main character in the latter)but this time finally in the mentor role!Maps and he in particular are linked(This is a special tool that will help us later)
All New Teen Titans-Damian's Teen Titans generation has come and their mentors are Jason still as Red Hood,Duke as The Signal,Stephanie freshly new at being Batwoman and Summer as Superman, taking over his Papí's mantle in the meantime as Clark is in a coma from rescuing Jon from Ultraman.Damian's lineup is him(Shadowbird),Maya Ducard(Nobody),Surren Darga(Fang),Jon Kent(Superboy),Nell Little(Batgirl),Maps Mizoguchi(7th Robin),Colin Wilkes(Abuse)and Kathy Branden(Beacon)
Their adventures are much more light-hearted than the Outlaws' but no less impressive and their bonds are all over the place in both bad and good ways and by the end, they've become family(Jason and Summer taking on the 'Team Parents' role and with additional romances in Damimaps,Surnell and Mayakathy). This run is 55 issues and lasts two years in-universe
New Ember Days-An ongoing slice of life epilogue that shows him being as beloved as Clark after going back to Ember, with a slightly adjusted costume(thank Jason for the pink domino mask, same as the black one for Ignite)and eventually comes up to him and Jason having their first bio kid after getting married,a girl named October with a mix of Kryptofang and Lazarus Pit dna and a bright attitude and love for most things.Action is frequent in this one and as always, humor is too
Wayne Family Adventures-He gets passing mentions in the earlier episodes and debuts in Dirty Little Secret, where Damian discovers him and Jason are dating while looking for Jason's weakness and returns in Belonging to comfort Stephanie after a call from her and does the same for Jason in Strong Enough while visiting Wayne Manor, slowly becoming a major recurring character from then on
Dead Sidekicks Force-Completely optional, this is an au that dives into what would've happened if Summer,Jason,Stephanie and Damian got even closer earlier and decided to form the titulary team as based on them being 'Dead Sidekicks' and recruting honorary members as they went along.Similar to the animated Teen Titans adaption in tone and to a lesser extent in artstyle too
That's about it for comics but for animation and video game fans,he also has big roles in the Utrh movie adaption,Ditf 2020,Lego Batman:Family Matters, the aformentioned Teen Titans cartoon(which has Dragon Rose as canon since they're both Dick's age in it and there being no Jason),the Injustice game series and Lego DC Supervillains and will be in season 2 of Batwheels along with Clark and Lois!

trick or treat!
Something darker for those chilling Halloween nights... Hope you enjoy Slade and Tim caught up in some predicament bondage, of sorts 💙
⚠️ Warnings for mutual non-con, torture, and non-consensual drugging.
The choice seemed easier, when it was just a concept.
Tim watches the pink liquid climb higher, up the length of the cannula, and disappear beneath the gauze stuck to the top of his hand. He sucks in a sharp breath, even though he can't feel anything yet, and tries to calm his racing heart.
"What will it be for you, Terminator?" the voice asks from the speaker box. Slade answers it with a growl, and Tim swallows harshly at the thick scent of rage in his nose. "If you don't choose," the voice sing-songs, "we'll choose for you."
"Trick," Slade bites out, and Tim feels him jolt when the collar around his neck lights up. It makes Slade shove forwards, and Tim topples over with the force, scrambling to keep himself from faceplanting into the soft mattress beneath them. The motion brings with it a wicked spark of pleasure, and Tim feels a wash of guilt at getting off on Slade's pain.
He can feel the heavy wash of Slade's breath on his neck as the alpha struggles to recover. Tim's lost count of how many hits Slade has had now. He's taken a few himself, partly out of curiosity, and partly to slow the compounding effects of the drug being steadily pumped into his system. Tim's hoping, if his calculations are decent, that the aphrodisiac won't fully saturate his bloodwork for another half hour. It doesn't make the clock feel any friendlier.
"Let's make this more interesting," the speaker box suggests. Tim's fists clench in the sheets, head dipping as he summons his resolve. "What's your choice, Robin?"
Tim does the maths, and comes up with the same choice. "Treat."
Nothing comes up the transparent piping. Tim stares at his cannula for the longest moment, until, behind him, Slade's snarls.
"Your turn, Terminator."
"I'm going to fucking kill you," Slade vows, and the snap of his teeth at the back of Tim's neck makes him shudder all over. Slade reigns in his temper enough to growl, "Trick."
Tim's not sure why it takes him so long to work it out. Maybe his calculations were wrong. Maybe the drug is affecting him more than he realised.
It doesn't make much difference when Tim's neck lights up in a ring of fire.
He screams, the cuffs keeping him pinned on his hands and knees pulling taunt against his skin. It hurts, and Slade is bellowing something at the speaker box. Tim wants to fold into the mattress and cry.
The burning stops, but Tim's throat feels scoured raw, inside and out.
"That choice wasn't for him!" Slade is shouting, at no one and nothing. His hands are fists in their cuffs, nails hitching into the sheets like claws. Tim can see them where they bracket his own, the metal rods between their wrists keeping them both aligned. Joined, Tim thinks, in more ways than one. "You sick bastards!"
The speaker box ignores him. "You're up again, Robin. What will it be this time? Trick or treat?"
Tim feels weak. He feels nauseous. He doesn't want another dose. He doesn't want to be electrocuted more.
"Treat," he answers, resigned.
"Let's double it up this time!" the speaker box announces gleefully, and Tim whines at the sight of the pink liquid climbing up the piping. Tim wonders if Slade feels as nauseous at the sight as he does.
Slade is panting again, knees shifting in discomfort where they're braced over Tim's. Every roll of his hips grinds his cock deeper into Tim, his knot tugging on Tim's walls.
"It's double jeopardy, Terminator. What's your choice? Trick? Or Treat?"
Every second Slade hesitates feels like another nail in Tim's coffin. He's not even sure which he wants Slade to choose. He desperately wishes they could talk about this, strategize, come up with a plan. But Slade has said barely a word to him since they woke up in this compromising position, and Tim doesn't think he's likely to get chatty soon.
"Terminator—"
"Treat," Slade bites out, and Tim can't hold back his groan.
It's mirrored by Slade, as Tim watches the aphrodisiac dose him up again. He feels hot all over, his skin too tight. Every shift of his hips sends sparks ricocheting through his stomach. Every clench of his thighs makes him see stars. The itch of drying slick on his skin is slowly driving Tim insane.
"I can't take much more of this," Tim mumbles, just loud enough for Slade to hear. A warning and a plea.
"Robin looks like he's enjoying himself a bit much — what a naughty little bird," the speaker box chastises. Tim shudders all over, and the moan that breaks free of Slade's lips doesn't sound pained at all. "Let's help him out with a controlled shock."
Tim braces for the pain. It doesn't make it hurt any less. It doesn't make it easier to deal with either, and after a few seconds of live-wire agony, Tim is back to screaming again.
"Please," he whimpers, when the aftershocks fade. His cheeks are wet, and Tim buries them in the sheets. "Please."
"I think we went a bit hard on him, Terminator," the speaker box is saying.
"Kid," Slade murmurs above him, voice cruelly soft. Tim doesn't lift his head.
"I'll give you a chance to help him out. Robin says he likes his treats. If you make him come, I'll let him off for this next one."
"Go to hell," Slade snarls, but Tim stirs enough to push himself upright.
"Do it," he rasps, tilting his hips back into Slade's. Even that small adjustment makes him moan, pleasure thrumming through his drugged veins. "Just do it."
