Summary: Yue puzzles through the strange appeal of a bunny ear headband.

Story:

“I do not understand why the young women at Yukito’s school were so extraordinarily strange about it,” Yue said. “His whole school fair committee talked excessively about it, even though all the other members were wearing similar headbands.”

“Show me,” Kero demanded.

Yue put a bunny ear headband on. “See?” The ears were an unusual compliment to his long white hair and elegant robes.

Kero giggled.

“What is so humorous,” Yue demanded.

“He’s a bunny, Yuki-Bunny,” Kero said. “It’s perfect. Spot on.”

“I do not think that’s why they were giggling.”

Sakura looked up from her homework. “They look cute on you.”

Yue turned away from Kero’s self-satisfied laughter. “What was that, Mistress?”

“They look cute on you. That’s why the school committee couldn’t stop talking about it.”

Yue would’ve blushed if he’d been human. “They’re silly bunny ears.”

“TOUYA!” Sakura shouted.

Yue moved to whip the ears off his head. Sakura pointed her pen seriously at him and in a commanding tone ordered, “don’t take them off.”

Yue’s eyes widened. “But Mistress, your brother—“

“—Yep. My brother,” she agreed.

Touya clumped down the hallway. He shouted before he reached the door, “Have you seen Yuki? Were—“ He stopped abruptly in the doorway.

He regarded Yue with a long lazily gaze. There was appreciation in every aspect of his expression. “Hi Yue.” There was something predatory in his simple greeting.

“Flirt in your own room,” Sakura told him.

Yue’s muscles tensed up like a discomforted cat. As always he was riveted by Touya and on guard with Touya. Yue watched as Touya switched his attention to his sister. The ease of their sibling bond apparent.

“You called me in here, Brat”

“I wanted you to see Yue’s ears.”

“I heard the fair committee plotting to have all the students running check in wear ears.”

Yue was used to being in control of his every action but in this instance he said, “do you have your own bunny ears, then?” Impulsively. 

Touya turned that warm smile on him. “Mine are cat ears.”

Yue wasn’t going to picture it. He was an ancient moon spirit. He had powers beyond the imagination of mortals. He…desperately wanted to see Touya’s cat ears.

“Come with me. I’ll show them to you.” Yue was more and more certain that Touya could read minds. At the least, he could read Yue’s mind.

“That is acceptable,” Yue agreed.

Touya led him away, saying “have you ever heard the legend of bunnies on the moon?”

To love someone is to completely cherish the whole person. But what is the person you love...is two separate people? Touya attempts to understand Yukito’s other half. 

Yue was here, in the garden, in the flesh, bathed in the moon’s majestic aura. Yes, Yue always seems otherworldly and distant but this…this was on an entirely different plane of reality.

As Yue floated above the ground, his entire being seemed to glow with lunar power. A silver, opalescent halo engulfed Yue’s body, accenting his pristine hair and gems that dotted his traditional clothing. Touya watched as Yue took slow, deliberate breaths - and with every inhale, the air crackled with magical energy, like the pulse of an everlasting heartbeat.

For the first time in a very, very long time, Touya was at a loss for words. He could only stare, completely entranced by Yue’s beauty and otherworldly appearance. The harvest moon, now risen above Tomeda, framed the picturesque scene as Yue continued his spiritual ritual. The silence of the night was deafening, save only for the loud thump-thump-thump , thump-thump-thump of Touya’s own heart beating in his chest.

I don't think y'all understand how obsessed I am with putting overpowered characters in the my hero academia universe. Like in a crossover type of situation. Danny Phantom, Cardcaptor Sakura, Fairy Tail, Jujutsu Kaisen the works.

I love love love the fact that they are overpowered and have different types of powers which is not that common in mha universe. So the mha characters are like "oh no their a victim of quirk experimentation* or "oh no they're chilling with All For One"

I especially think it's funny when the pro heroes are struggling to take down the villains and then this 14 year just comes and whoops ass. It's so funny. (I act like that's not what Mha is already. Instead of a 14 year it's a 16 year old)

But anyway, I just think it's really entertaining, and I think we as a collective need to start doing a lot more crossovers in the mha universe

the cardcaptor au i'm begging for is where damian and tim find the clow book, while arguing or smth they let loose all the cards, then make it a competition to see who can be the "better cardcaptor"

kero is just there, vibing with the ride (he gets unlimited snacks, and damian, especially, likes to spoil him). the boys hide kero from everyone cause what bat communicates willingly?? yeah.

they keep it secret from the rest of the batclan tho somehow JL dark/the more magically inclined heroes find out and have bets as to who will have most cards at the end and how the final judgment thing will go (constantine won by a small technicality, it irked zatanna and raven to no end)

tim and damian would also have opposite types of magic (like im thinking tim would lean more into moon magic while damian is more sun)

alfred knows whats going on as he helps cover for the two without their knowledge, even leaves extra treats and meals around for kero which the boys just sum up to "alfred knows all" *coughhe'syuecoughcough*

throughout the whole ordeal, the batclan is v confused as to why the two suddenly have a more... friendly rivalry going on because to them, tim and damian have a score as to who can solve more "cases"

bruce is concerned, dick is overjoyed, jason is sus but lets it be as long as they don't bother him, cass lq knows, steph and duke have bets about what they're hiding

Ohh this is something I came up for Reign of Water: A Sailor Moon Story, Featuring Characters from Dinosaur King and Cardcaptor Sakura.

After Reese got taken by Bubble-Maidens The D-Team goad the Mermaid versions of Sailor Moon and the Sailor Scouts to help them Get her back, However they find themselves in Cardcaptor Sakura's HomeTown where Max and Rex Infiltrate the Home of the Kinomoto's

I NEED TO SCREAM INTO THE VOID.

I am in a pickle of my own making! I have over 1000 tabs open on my computer because I kept opening new windows and forgetting the previous windows. Most of these tabs are fanfiction. My computer is slow as all get out because of all the tabs so I can't bounce between them to get to all the oneshots. There are so many that the windows don't show as pictures and the only way to scroll to tabs is to have all the tabs on the side instead of at the top.

So I've been meticulously going through each tab to try to finish a window to then start again in the next window.

But not ONLY are a majority of the tabs fanfictions...many are multi-chapter.

But my ONLY hobby right now(aside from making earrings out if beads so I can get rid of my beads) is writing comments on fanfictions....so my pace is slowed down EVEN MORE because I am SHIT at summarizing my thoughts in a short ans sweet manner!

I write my comments to process and get out every thought I can on the fanfiction currently in my sights so I won't be lingering on it for months mentally. The good, the bad, the 'this part doesn't make sense logically with what you set up but COULD WORK if you adjust this part a smidge so we can enjoy your brilliant lines over here', the ooooh my God I'm terrified I'm having so much fun reading this, amd of my God this is infuriating and I hate it but I live it write more!

My computer bounces between being able to spell properly and skipping letters and the spell check takes so long to do because I write so much!!! And then I need to check tone of my comment because what if I wrote out all my thoughts and didn't realize my love and appreciation didn't get through where people might take it as critique or hurtful because I didn't get my feeling across properly.

So I need to double check! Because I don't want to accidentally discourage someone who's fic I cared enough about to read through! I'll want more fanfics after all!!!

But I also need to get through the fanfics as quickly as possible and I write alot quickly and I need to get my thoughts out of my head as soon as possible so I can go to the next fanfiction!

But then I have such good taste and the writers are so great I get sucked in again! And if I'm not careful I'll write a comment for every chapter!!!

I spent TWO DAYS going through a 20 chapter fanfic! Just to delete ONE TAB! I can't even sort the tabs by oneshots! I have to go tab by tab in this window to get through the window or risk the computer rebooting and reopening or opening copys of windows!!!! And I can't pin point all the copy windows cuz some windows have fanfics from the other windows!

And then I thought! Hey no one really CARES if I comment right? I can just skip one or two! But not only does my brain say no! that fanfic didn't have any comments!!! which was a travesty because the fic was so good and needs to be appreciated! So I needed to write one! And THEN apparently people recognized that I commented on almost every fanfiction I've read and noticed I'm BACK because I took hiatus for so long due to lent! I don't eve have any writing of my own and somehow people noticed?

AND WRITERS apparently appreciate them so I get all warm and fuzzy! Whoch gives me energy to comment more!

But I still have a ridiculous amount of tabs and I made a deal with myself I can't scroll on tumblr or YouTube for too long on my phone until I get through ALL of them! Because that risks me making MORE comments because it's not just fanfictions I process that way!!!

There are tabs from at least 3 years ago!!!! And that's not even adressing when I AM done I plan on getting through my bookmarks because they are separate!!!! And how when I read a fic from one Fandom I get the erge to look for MORE!

I've got myself opening up new tabs at least 3 times! Luckily stopping myself from diving further in. Commenting on those fanfictions and closing the tabs quickly. But still!!!!

And that's not even adressing tge fanfic purges that happen so what if one of the five I was reading got taken down so I'll never know the ending? Or when my tabs refresh so the comment I spent 15 minutes writing disappeared!!!! I can type very quickly and my reading comprehension are high. I wrote past the archive comment limit within 2 minutes once so I thought this would be faster!

Am I my own worst enemy?! I can't just give up now! But there are so many!!!! And something tells me most won't be one shots! But even just the one shots can be worth multiple comments!

Its how I process! My sister can only take so much of ne talking at her about characters and Fandom she isn't in!!! And my prize at the end are more fanfictions I'm not letting myself read til I finish all of these!

Aaaaaaaahhhhhhh! Why do I DO this to myself!!!!!

Cringetober 2023, Day 18: Old Story Rewrite

Summary: Touya has a romantic Christmas Eve planned the Yue refuses to let an evil sorcerer interrupt.

Story:

Touya had been planning the perfect Christmas Eve for three months. His Favorite Twerp and her boyfriend (not his favorite) were spending the night out. He didn’t ask for details. He didn’t want to spoil his Christmas by think about their Christmas. Their father was traveling for business, leaving the kids to choose how to spend the most romantic day in Japan.

Sakura had declared it a “Clow Free Holiday”. She left the cards at home. Took Kero to Tomoyo’s house where he was gorging on homemade takoyaki. And Yuki was at home with Touya. 

They had the house to themselves. They were always together, but never alone. It felt indescribably luxurious to be together in the kitchen, cooking and talking like an old married couple. Yuki had brought a bouquet of flowers with him, perfuming the air with a soft floral scent.

“I feel like Yue and I are getting along better than we used to,” Yuki said. “Like we’re actually starting to be one person with shared goals.”

Touya nodded but kept silent. They were one person but they were also two people. It was an unusual situation. The two facets of them didn’t share memories yet. Maybe they never would. Touya had spent long inscrutable afternoons talking to Yue. Touya loved them both. He wanted to protect them both. It didn’t matter how complicated it all was. 

“For the longest time it felt like we were fighting with each other. Like we couldn’t decide who’s life was the priority. But it’s all melded together. Protecting the Clow, protecting Sakura, building a human life, loving you. It’s all one purpose now.”

“What was that last one again?” Touya didn’t look away from the pan he was cooking in.

Yuki swooped in and kissed him. 

It was so easy. It was wonderful that it was easy. They’d earned these moments of peace and love.

Yuki suddenly looked into the distance. His eyes unfocused. “I think I forgot something upstairs.”

Touya knew that look, but decided to let Yue think he was being covert. “You should go look for it,” he said.

Yue in Yuki’s body pecked him on the cheek. A blush stole across his face. Yue always found showing affection to be profoundly embarrassing. Touya like that he did it anyway.

Yue-Yuki went upstairs where he let his power wash over him. In the blink of an eye, he was fully transformed. His priest robes flapping and his long white hair nearly reaching the floor. He had sensed something outside the house.

This was Yue’s season. The cold winter frost added to his power. The full moon hung heavy in the sky. He walked out into the night, casting a spell that made him become one with the snow. He was invisible to on lookers.

He moved around the house. Floating outside Sakura’s window, a low-talent sorcerer was trying to break in. No doubt he was here for the cards.  He thought them undefended in their master’s absence. He was wrong.

Yue moved silent and hidden through the snow until he was right bellow the sorcerer. Then he struck. Fast and hard. The sorcerer had no time to collect himself or mount a defense. Yue dismantled him. Yue was not going to allow anything to interrupt Touya’s romantic plans for this evening.

He allowed just his cold eyes, glowing with moonlight, to appear to the sorcerer. “Leave this place and never come back”.

The sorcerer ran.

Yue returned to the house, realizing his body to Yuki. The human didn’t remember what happened but had a vague impression of how excited Yue was to be spending Christmas Eve with Touya.

Happy 1 Year AO3 Anniversary to me!

Yes, I'm that weirdo that remembers the one year anniversary of joining AO3. 23, however, is my favorite number, and it was also the beginning of the school year - I think that's why it's so distinct!

Last year, I was looking to do more things that I love, so I said "fuck it" and decided to post a chapter to a fic I hadn't updated in years and years on a different fanfiction website. A longtime reader/ fanfic author @butterflydreaming-writes-fic contacted me and basically said, "Girl, you gotta get on AO3. It's where it's at!" And one year later, here we are!

Here are some totals for you...

Of course, I know some other authors have higher stats then me, and that's okay. I'm proud that in just a year, I've accumulated over 1000 kudos, over 200 bookmarks, and over 21,000 hits. It's very gratifying.

I have 23 stories in total, but not all of them of new. Some are old ones that I reposted from a different website. Out of those 23, 9 are Cardcaptor Sakura, 2 are Final Fantasy VII, and a whopping 12 are of The Dragon Prince (with more to come on the way! I'm in the groove now.)

My most popular story based on hits is Lunation, my interpretation of the reconciliation between Rayla and Callum. I worked the hardest on this fic and am happy to see it still remains at my most popular piece. (Although, some of the shorter, sillier ones from S5 are quickly approaching its numbers, and I admit I will be kind of sad if it's no longer at the top! 😂) On the other end, my least popular is Red Lite, Green Lite, which is a silly little fic about Vincent Valentine going about Midgar trying to get a cigarette. It's quite funny.

The first not-reposted original story was Promises, Promises - a take on Callum's fatal promise to Rayla. ("You have to kill me.") I've never written such an action-packed piece and I am pretty proud of it. Even when rereading it, I still feel the urgent tone that carries itself throughout the story.

My most underrated fic is definitely To Those Who Crossed Over, a weirdly experimental story about how Touya from CCS - a naturally gifted clairvoyant - comes face-to-face with another medium, causing some interesting in-depth insight about Yue. While it's not the norm, it definitely is an interesting read.

In the next year, I would love to post some other fandoms (like RWBY, for example) and perhaps continue/expand on the CCS fic To Love Another. It's a story about Touya coming to terms with who Yukito/Yue are as a person. It is definitely the most quietly popular fic, with no comments but 96 kudos and 18 bookmarks.

Also, I want to simply continue to write. I put a lot of pressure on myself when it comes to fanfiction. Character and canon accuracy are important to me, but I am slowly realizing that fanfiction can be whatever you want it to be. And that's the beauty of it.

Remember, fanfiction writers do it for nothing except the love of our fandom. We take time out of our days to pour our hearts into stories for you to read. I'm so grateful to AO3, as the website allows us a safe space to do that. (I always donate when the time comes, and if you read or write on AO3, you should too!)

In the past year, I rebranded and created my online personal as HerWrittenUniverse because I felt like I was entering another era of fandom. In addition, fanfiction has personally opened up so many door for me. It's giving me a healthy way to express my love for a fandom, challenged me to increase my writing skills, and opened up doors to friendships that I never though possible. So thank you to Cris for kicking my butt and getting me on AO3, thank you to my fellow fandom friends for supporting me (and everyone else!), and thank you to the readers. Fanfiction writers create for themselves - but the support is always nice, too!

Bubble-Maidens 1

Now I know what some of you are thinking, I have something of a strange obsession for Girls a Bubbloids, But For Reign of Water a Storyline for 2020 as the thrid Sequel to the so called God Trilogy started with All Stars Memories, I decided to do something Different with the Idea to make it more original, In the Reign of Water Timeline Sailor Moon's side of the Story, The Queen of the Ocean's actions also affected even the Cardcaptors HomeTown, She may have took and Modified Tomoyo's Bubblfication Serum and used it on the People of Tomoeda, Making them as close to Human, but to to the Mermaid the way they represent a Girls Soul. So With the Queen of the Oceans blessing, The Bubble-Maidens became a Race of there own, However like on the Main-Timeline, Tomoyo's Serum doesn't work on Human Males nor any other Non-Human, Only Girls (Not Trying to Be Sexist here)

These are some Recognizable faces here, The First is Nadeshiko Kinomoto the mother of Cardcaptor Sakura, In the main-Timeline She Died when Sakura was Three, But it was unknown how she died, In the Mermaid-Timeline, It seems the Bubblfication Serum Saved her life from what ever was gonna kill her, And it might has Transmitted to Sakura She is the head-Woman of the Town, And is part of the Ocean-Queens Court, The next is Sonomi Daidouji the mother of Tomoyo Daidouji, She plays as Nadeshio's Adviser in the Mermaid-Timeline, Maki Matsumotoin this is one of the Bubble-Maidens that serve the Headwoman of the Town.
