btw guys managing your symptoms also means apologizing for things you didn't mean to do. sometimes you do things because of your disorders that you genuinely didn't mean to do, but if it hurt someone you still have to take accountability and make up for the hurt you caused

Guys stop putting "empathy/sympathy." They are not the same thing. Empathy is not "I care about this person," that's what sympathy is. Empathy is "I can understand this person's situation, see myself in their shoes, and experience their emotions as my own."

Empathy ≠ sympathy. They frequently co-exist but they are DIFFERENT.

Not having empathy doesn't mean I don't care about people, it means I can't understand their emotions or correctly imagine myself in their situation.

I can still care without grasping it.

People stop being stupid and misunderstanding what words mean challenge level impossible.

Fist off, people with NPD can care about people. Secondly, I care and advocate for them because one, they’re people. And two, I’m supposed to be a disability and mental health advocate. And while I may not have NPD, I feel as if, as part of the cluster b community, it is my duty to advocate for people in the same cluster that are experiencing far more hate, discrimination, and stigma than me. Narcissistic people are not the enemy, ableism is.

I so desperately want someone I view as an equal. Someone I can actually love and see as a person, and not as lesser than. I want to date, I want to be romantic, but I fear that day will never come

Not only have I never, never in my life, experienced seeing someone as an equal, but I've also struggled with forming romantic bonds as a result. I don't want to date someone I see as lesser, I just don't. Do I want them to worship me and give me their attention and praise? Absolutely. But I also want to see them as someone worthy of my love in return. I refuse to settle for less

Anyway, I'll continue to fantasize about my dream girlfriend (or partner) until that day comes♡
