Body - Tim Drake x Reader
the one where you realized tim really was the world's greatest detective. or, tim finally tells you how he feels. (play under the influence c brown for full experience)
also note, this is not little teenage tim drake, this is the detective even ras al ghul respects, and the man who knows what he wants. not my usual fanon tim but who cares <3
"Yeah, you fucked this one up." you rolled your eyes as Tim typed away on the his computer.
"First of all, no I didn't, second of all, shut up not like you could've done better." he chided in response. After the two of you had discovered a massive laundering scheme it was your opinion that busting the operation in person, weapons out, was the best plan. Tim had instead, let henchmen get away under the guise of "detective work" his plan to out the scheme to the public and let gotham pd handle the rest.
Only problem was, he was yet to "detective the shit out of them" as he'd promised. Not that you didn't believe in Tim, you two had been working together for a few months as you'd come under the protection of the batfamily. But you'd yet to seek something truly detective-like out of him beyond the few cases you two had worked on.
"I can still head over there, it's an easy fight timbers" you groaned, leaning forward in your chair to rest your head on his shoulder, glancing at the computer as if you could understand it. Tim didn't react, the two of you had been growing close for weeks, living in the same house meant as much.
"Y/n, you know as well as I do that's a waste of time, energy, and risk. I've got this handled please. Just go train or something if you can't bore yourself here." The challenge to leave was an empty one, but you didn't like how easily he brushed you off. You grumbled in response, "some detective" knowing that always got him riled up.
"I really, really don't want to do this right now," he muttered. "Do what, detective" venom dripped from your lips, Tim slightly pushed your head off his shoulder, sitting up in his chair, turning his head to shoot daggers back at you.
"Believe it or not, it's done. I'll take your apologies now." he smirked, pointing to the screen. You rolled your eyes glancing at the post and GPD tracker showing police en-route to the base you'd wanted to bust yourself.
"Still not impressive, where's the real detective work?" you challenged, leaning back in your chair with a dangerous grin, loving the fiery energy the two of you had created.
Tim shook his head, running a hand through his hair as he met your eyes. "Does detective work on you count?" cocking his head, feigning sultry innocence as your facade faltered.
"What does that mean?" you withdrew from the heat, watching in subdued panic as Tim pulled up a file with your name on it. "You think I haven't done anything these last few weeks? You're right. I've done nothing but watch you." his voice was low, almost a whisper. You felt your heart beat in your ears.
"Now, please don't think this is surface level detective work. But, if you want the file on your middle name, parents, social security number, or past addresses that's right here [he opened a file brimming with top secret information] I pulled that together for Bruce months ago. You want something worth noticing?" he paused, a dangerous grin forming as you leaned into his every word.
"A real detective notes body language, he traces delicate patterns his subject doesn't even observe" he purred, clicking on a file that opened hundred of videos and pictures of you and him. "Do you even notice your own affinity for me?" he looked deep into your eyes, his own beaming with excitement as you sat further back in your chair.
Quickly, his hand snapped to your knees, holding them in place you glanced down to his hand all the way back to up his eyes, which bore into yours.
"Did you know humans tend to direct themselves towards those they care about?" he chided. "And here you are, knees pointed at me when you could've sat in any other position, and this isn't an anomaly; detectives, [he slowed down on the word just for you] detectives check for that." withdrawing this hand from your thighs he pulled videos where you obviously turn your entire attention to him, videos where you inch closer to him no matter his position, and videos where your eyes swept his entire body. He had caught dangerous moments you hadn't even consciously thought about.
You felt your face heat up, unable to speak you sat carefully waiting for his next remark. With a confident grin he leaned forward, pushing a fallen piece of hair behind your ear. His face so close you could feel his warm breath on your face as he said, "look at you, hanging on my every word, what happened to my bold, reckless y/n?" he cocked his head to the side as you drew in a breath.
He spoke before you even found the words, "no matter, I wasn't quite done yet. Lets look at some battles, see how your feelings for me manifest in your natural habitat." he pulled up videos where it was clear your attention was focused on him. You'd take hits if it meant glancing his way, rarely did you let him get ahead of you, even if it meant brutally forcing enemies out of the way. "Look at all that fire, burning up for me?" he couldn't help but grin as you felt your heart rate increase.
"I- why did you even do this?" you choked out, thinking of the hours he had to have invested in just watching you. Now it was his turn to falter in confidence, a more gentle smile gracing his lips. "Honestly, I was bored. And wanted to know if you felt the same way." he mumbled, letting his inner nerd shine through. You felt able to breathe again, still in shock from the detail of the information he'd gathered.
"You could've just told me you liked me." you gave Tim a light shove, your own confidence regrowing. "Fair, but this was far more impressive, and entertaining," Tim grinned.
"I cant deny that bird brain" you mumbled before continuing, "so what happens now?" you glanced from the computer back to Tim and his eyes lit up.
"Well, your body language speaks for you," he said matter-of-factly.
"You're blushing," his hand swept over your cheek, you leaned into his touch before he pulled it away.
"Your whole body is facing me," his eyes slowly danced down every curve of your figure, pulling all the way back up to your face, stopping at your lips, finally meeting your eyes.
"Gorgeous, breathtaking eyes meeting mine," he whispered, letting you squirm in the silence he had created.
"And what does that say?" you leaned in, hoping he could grasp the hint.
"It says I should kiss you." he whispered bluntly, before closing the distance between the two of you, locking your lips in his. Smiling into the kiss you pulled away just for an instant, catching your breath before pulling him in for more.
"very good, detective"

Dead on main au where
1. Danny wears a 1/2 face mask as a ghost to make sure his parents don’t find out who he is
2. The decision to start wearing the mask was a spontaneous thing that happened at school and he stole the mask from his high school’s theater department
3. Danny moves to Gotham as soon as he turns 18 on a scholarship but it doesn’t include dorm fees.
4. Danny hides out in an abandoned theater (the attic is surprisingly well insulated!!!!) and spends most of his time there as a ghost because he can’t anywhere else in Gotham.
5. An injured Red hood limps his way into one of his favorite old hideouts (the theater obviously), and promptly passes out from blood loss with the hazy image of a masked glowing spector as the last thing he sees.
6. He wakes up enough to hear soft reassurances of safety and feel cool hands carry him with no noticeable strain.
7. Jason comes to in a giant nest of blankets with his wound neatly stitched up, a killer headache, and a sticky note wishing him well/ promising the writer didn’t leak under the helmet (a fact Jason is well aware of considering his head is very much unexploded)
8. Jason tries to leave but he passes out again and is honestly too tired to try again when he comes back around. So he just…falls asleep.
9. Jason wakes up again to warm food on an old silver tray and an empty room, not knowing Danny is watching him from the corner to make sure he doesn’t fall again. Not that Danny wouldn’t catch him again, but he’d prefer it didn’t happen at all.
In short, Danny plays elusive nurse to the dangerous red hood while Jason sees a literal ghost that lives in an abandoned theater wearing a phantom of the opera mask and decides he’s found a keeper. Clearly he appreciates the drama.

DC x DP Prompt
The wail isn't the only thing Danny can do with his voice.
He finds this out when he is hanging out on a date with his new friend soon-to-boyfriend Jason, and the cafe they're in gets fear-gassed.
Jason and everyone else in the cafe start to lose their shit and Danny doesn't know what to do. Most of his powers were locked away because Gramps wanted him to enjoy a normal-ish college life!
On the verge of tears, Danny remembers a time when Ellie was having a nightmare, and he found that singing to her soothed her.
And in a desperate attempt, Danny began to sing.
It was a soft soothing melody, so soft that realistic speaking, no one should have heard it. But the entirety of Gotham did.
In those few moments, the effects of the fear gas disappeared, and whatever anger, fear, helplessness, emptiness, loneliness, whatever negative emotion was being felt at that time dissipated as well.
For once, Gotham air didn't feel so heavy.
And Danny was sure he scored himself a second date.

Protective daddy Thomas Wayne.
No thoughts, only baby Bruce riding on his papa’s shoulders, mind ice cream in his tiny hand, much to Alfred’s utter dismay. “You’re getting so big, bunny! Oh don’t look so salty. He likes it.”
“If he wakes up and likes tigers, shall we commence to that, too?”
“Siberian tigers, sure.”
“T’ger,” Bruce just started speaking and it’s the most adorable and beautiful thing he’s ever heard. Thomas can’t deny himself peppering kisses all over him, and Alfred, too.
His hair shivers.
Carmine Falcone approaches them with a sharp eye. “Thomas Wayne outside and walking. Didn’t think I’d see you. And who’s this?” He’s bad at appearing harmless. Bruce hides behind Thomas’ head, peeking at him through his eyelashes.
Thomas’ radiant smile vanishes in something cold. “My baby.”
“My future competition,” he hums, “Pretty little thing. Like his daddy.”
A flat silence snows over them, and Thomas gently passes his baby boy to a still, smiling that switchblade smile of him.
“Let’s talk, Carmy.”
“Listen here, ya rat bastard,” He sneers, smile manic and eyes wide, like a scorned serpent baring its fangs, forearm pressed tight against Carmine’s throat. He watches that little vermin thrash and wheeze.
Thomas’ accent is honeyfire, drawling like a whiskey river and booming like lighting. “You even look at my son again, I swear on my mama’s body, boy, I’ll dig up your piece of shit daddy and make you eat the skin. You understand?”
“Yes.”
“Don’t fucking play with me, Falcone. “
“I swear,” he groans, clawing at Thomas’ arm, but he doesn’t even feel it, that’s how enraged he is. “On my father’s name, I swear.”
“Good. “ A knee to the stomach is unnecessary, yet greatly desired. “Get the fuck off my streets.” And if Alfred watches Thomas hide his bloody knuckles from Bruce while they’re at the park, who’s he to say anything?

Dick may, just maybe, a tiny bit, not much really, be depended on Danny
It's just, he can go to Danny for anything, vigilante or civilian related, family or personal, it didn't matter how big or small
Danny was there
Since, forever really, meeting shortly after his parents death and sticking with dick since then? Yeah, Danny's been there and been a solid rock in his life for ages
So, maybe, possibly, perhaps
His reaction to Jason making a joke about asking Danny out might have been an overreaction
Should he have punched Jason? Should he have started screaming? Should he have snapped at the others when they tried to intervene?
Who knows
But this was his friend, his one constant
Plus Jason met him once
Dick will be damned if he let Danny be shooed away just because Jason decides to fuck around

DC x DP short
I'm picturing Danny moving to Gotham once he's an adult. He came out to his parents, and it went fine. More than fine. They listened to how he was struggling at school because he kept having to chase down the ghosts they let out by leaving the portal open. Jack was super proud of his son for being a ghost hunter even as a ghost, but Maddie understood his concern and set up some new protocols for the portal.
It now automatically closes after two minutes unless a specific command is put in by Danny to keep it open while he is in the Zone, and the shielding around it actually works to stop ghosts coming trig without hurting them now.
The shine of the mortal world has worn off for most of his regulars now, and those that come through have figured out compromises so they can still fulfil their obsessions without hurting others. The meta-protection act officially disbands the GIW, and Red Huntress is given a very thorough speaking to about personal bias and vendettas. She's not allowed back in the field until she comes to the realisation that ghosts are people too, and that she been the bad guy by hunting them the way she did. Phantom is officially recognised as a Hero, but he turns down working for any teams or joining the Big Leagues. He agrees to act as a back up though, in case of any world ending event.
By the time senior year rolls around, Danny has gotten his grades up enough that he can go to a pretty decent university if he wants to. He chooses Gotham University for his engineering degree because they're a feeder school for Wayne Enterprises, who in turn are a feeder company for working for the Justice League as a civilian engineer. Tucker also chooses GU for their tech program, while Sam elects not to go to university straight away.
Tucker and Danny move into an apartment right on the borders of Crime Alley and The Narrows. Tucker manages an impressive 4 months as a local hacker before Oracle notices him, but Danny only manages 3 weeks before he's spotted by a Bat.
He's lying down a foot above his building's roof, looking at the stars. It's a very rare cloudless night, and the power is out in his area. Poison Ivy had launched an attack earlier in the day that had taken cut the power lines, with her mutant plants feeding on the smog and pollution to get stronger.
Duke was up late, finishing the day shift by a quick loop of The Narrows, when he noticed a slightly glowing teenager(?) floating on one of the roofs. He takes note that the man isn't causing any harm and is just peacefully stargazing, before calling it in to Jason. He was technically supposed to be off the clock an hour ago, and besides, the building was on the Crime Alley side of this street. It's Jason's problem now.
Jason, on the other hand, is exhausted and just wants to have a quiet patrol before collapsing in bed. He hadn't been hit by Ivy's plants, but had taken a couple of tumbles while dodging them. He heads over to the address Duke gave him, to find the guy still floating there staring at the sky. He gets it, he does, he would float above the grime that coats Gotham rooftops if he could, but it's dangerous for a meta to be so unawares of his surroundings like this while obviously displaying his powers.
Danny, meanwhile, had clocked both of the vigilantes coming near him, but was really hoping that they would leave him alone. It had been a very long day for him. He'd finally managed to get to campus for his class, only to find that the place was covered in overgrown plants. He'd had to freeze a few to get into the building, and had then spent most of the afternoon in the library due to his class being cancelled. Unfortunately for him, his nearly finished assignment that he'd spent the day working on was eaten by one of the giant flowers on his way home. He'd been 'saved' by the stabby Robin, which had caused him to then also lose his laptop as they crashed to the rooftop a few streets over.
Thankfully, he had an amazing best friend in Tucker, who was doing his best to recover as much data as possible. On the downside, though, Tucker was mad at him for now having saved a backup of his files since they left Amity. He'd fled to the roof to escape his wrath, plans of bribes in the form of food running through his mind, when he'd caught sight of the Stars. Holy shit. It was so clear tonight!
He didn't even realise he'd begun to glow and float, too caught up in naming all of the stars and constellations he could see. His Obsession was feeling very satisfied tonight. Usually he had to invisibly fly above the cloud cover to see such a sight. Sure, the light pollution was still bad, but his mind was able to fill in the blanks across the sky.
The moment Jason landed on his roof, Danny heaved a great sigh. Damnit. The fun police were here. He wrenched his eyes from the sky, only to notice that - oh, shit - he was floating again. He fell to the roof with a light thump.
"Heeeyyy stranger, come here often?" Danny asked, as he rolled over to his side, propping his head up on his hand.

DP x DC Prompt: Chilly
Danny doesn't feel the cold at least not natural cold. Sure, sometimes when his Core acted up he would feel cold but the weather in the Mortal World couldn't reach that level of cold with the closest thing being space, and even then it wasn't that close to the chill of an Ice Core. This made it easier for Danny to travel light after things went South in Amity Park because he didn't have to worry about packing heavy coats or thick blankets. Just a jacket, a spare change of clothes, a phone and charger. This worked best for him.
Unfortunately he didn't consider how this may look to people, especially when weather reached record lows in Gotham City, snow reached record highs, and people were looking concerned. But nobody looked more concerned than a guy with a red motorcycle helmet and more corrupted ectoplasm in his system than was probably helpful.
