So I saw this popular post floating around amid the Watcher drama-
Tumblr media
-and here is my response to that with some iconic Watcher quotes:
Shane: "What's the deal with cousins?" - in TMS season 3
Ryan: "Hey dipshit, are you scared?" - in TMS season 3
Steven: "What's the trauma version of nostalgia?" Shane: "Trauma?" - in Pod Watcher ep 5 (aka the glorious Nose Soap Apple ep)
Shane: "I don't like people to acknowledge me as a human being." - in Are You Scared of Working Out
Ryan: "Class dismissed, you little blue ball sack." - in Puppet History's The Dreadful Demise of the Dinosaurs
Steven: "Who cares, man!" - in Making Watcher ep 4
Shane: "As soon as there's an element of competition, my brain just quits" - in Weird Wonderful World Roller Derby ep
Ryan: "You killed me!" Shane: " You're dead?" Ryan: "Yeah, because you asked for a blowjob." - in Survival Mode Demonologist
Steven: "Oh, I can't process the world right now." - Steven Eats Through Korea for 24 Hours Straight
Bonus one from the Patreon because I think about this moment at least once a day:
*answering the question on when would a gen z bark* Sam: "during doggy style?" Shane in disapproving dad voice: "Sam!"
and that is just a few quotes that I think about or quote from time to time. If you have a favorite quote and want to add to this post to out-ratio the original blogger- go for it!
Now my little rant that I've been trying to keep in but imma just add it here: it seems that most of the haters throwing out nasty comments seem to be old BFU fans who only watch Ghost Files and can not let go of the past and does not realize that BFU has been over for almost 3 years now. Guess what?
It's.
Never.
Coming.
Back.
It's totally ok to miss and grieve the loss of something you love, but continuously comparing Watcher to just BFU is tiring. Watcher is so much more than BFU, and if you guys would just simply read Watcher's company motto then you would know that.
So how about instead of living in 2018, you come and join us in 2024 and recognize that Shane Madej, Ryan Bergara, and especially Steven Lim are still fucking hilarious alongside the wonderful team at Watcher.
ps: I decided to use a screenshot and cut out the name instead of reblogging the op's post because I simply do not want to give them any more attention.

Observations : Part 1✨
⚠️These are my personal observations & opinions:
- Saturn in your 7th house can usually mean that all your intimate relationships are of a karmic nature & to do with past lives. Soulmate after soulmate… there’s always a sense of fate.
- I believe Pluto is a feminine planet in a masculine energy.. much of what happens to a wounded female when she is in survival mode. Yes , Pluto is represented my a male God, but intuitively I believe there is something deeply feminine about Pluto. Astronomers have discovered that Pluto has a HEART. Cold seeming on the outside but very deeply passionate on the inside.
Gen Z has Pluto in the libertine sign of Sagittarius, it makes such sense that this generation is so obsessed with freedom and so obsessed with rebelling against the norm to gain said freedom. Also using knowledge as a weapon to gain freedom…
Scorpio Risings have deep rooted trust issues. They most likely don’t trust you even if they said they do. If a scorpio rising insults you and loves you in the same breath, it means they’re comfortable with you and they like you to a certain degree, consider yourself lucky.
Capricorn Sun/Risings are so tight pocketed…
Shadow side of Virgo; Virgos are probably one of the most judgemental signs. They criticise as a way to make themselves feel better and superior, and also as a way to keep distance and detach themselves. (They’re still probably right though😅)
Aquarius Venus men can display high signs of disinterest in people but rather display more interest in things.. especially knowledge. They give off a very asexual vibe, kind of like Isaac Newton vibe.
Cancer sun people are easily taken advantage of in ways they don’t realise because their ego relies so much on the validation of other people.
If a man with Venus in Scorpio is not interested in you, you will know, because he is not obsessed with you.
Virgos are one of the signs that care most about people yet that gets overlooked because they don’t like taking credit, and their pride can give off the wrong impression as if they don’t care due to their sharp tongue; yet they do care because they take care of the little details or they show love in more action oriented ways.
If a Virgo starts talking about how much they do it’s because they’re tired of lack of appreciation and reciprocation.
Taurus in 6th house will make you obsessed with improving your looks, especially your body. It will also make you want to improve your eating habits.
Geminis will really just say anything on their mind, sometimes knowing it will hurt you, just because they like to see the look on your face. It brings them amusement to have the upper hand because it plays on their ego to be “intellectually superior”.
There can be very strong alternation of like and dislike between Scorpio Rising and Scorpio Sun individuals.. always some kind of tension.
I’ve noticed Pisces Sun men tend to easily give into addictions and escapism, and often use spirituality as an excuse to stay in their head. They have a lot of willpower; yet they get distracted by the need to avoid their trauma and suppress their emotions through their addictions . They have a lot of potential.
Cancer men tend to be very sensitive and have fragile egos, quite reactive too if you brush them the wrong way.
Libras can be very fake but also extremely caring and nurturing.
Virgo men… can be quite messy and poor with hygiene.
If a Gemini cares about you, you’re in their pile of “special” people because 9 times out of 10 they don’t give a fffffff.
Scorpio in sun or rising will often have bird like or vampiric features.
There is something very tender about a Scorpio man, even when he is honest with his darkness, you can still sense a sweetness and sensitivity in them. They’re the kind of guys you want to help and think you can change, until they prove you wrong because they self sabotage so that you don’t like them…
Leo in Venus will spoil you!! Male or female, doesn’t matter how long you have known them. If they like you they will pay for lunch, take pictures of you and show you off on social media, etc.
If you want to support this blog as well as my research there’s a Tip option in the bio. Or you can cashapp me £astroroyale .This way I can keep posting high quality content for you as it encourages me in the process <3 :) Thank you & Much love
Anyways, stay safe 😊☀️✨

i've seen a lot of people saying that saltburn (2023) isn't a commentary on class, and genuinely, i have to disagree.
keep in mind, i watched this at 3am last night with my sibling, but i'm also a literature major with a focus in literary criticism of popular culture (including film), so i do know what i'm talking about!
spoilers below the break
first of all, framing saltburn as a conflict between the upper class and lower class is incorrect. in fact, that in itself is one of the major criticisms that comes up throughout it! oliver is quite literally not lower class, but uses the preconception that the cattons will view anyone in a lower social class than them as a tool to manipulate his way into their life. despite this, he is not lower class. and you are not meant to root for him, especially not towards the end.
the marxist theory of literary criticism surrounds the idea that in every story, one of the key concepts is a class struggle. this could be between any class, but the most common is the rich vs poor duality that shows up in most stories - ex. titanic, the fall of the house of usher. the thing is, in both of those examples, the sympathy lies with the victims - the lower class. in titanic, you are meant to feel guilty on behalf of the rich leaving the lower class to die. in usher, you are meant to feel anger towards the mistreatment of those who seek out the treatment the family offers. but while usher is a clear criticism of class, is that its main genre? is is purely a class struggle movie? no. it is a story inspired by edgar allan poe that surrounds horrors of family, trauma, and yes, class, but also morality. meanwhile titanic is supposedly a romance. though jack dawson is young and poor, he is not the only sympathetic character. what i'm saying here is that media is incredibly layered, and while on the surface level, something may not be entirely a class conflict story, those undertones exist throughout, no matter what. even take hit series percy jackson for example. there is still a class discussion to be had there, with percy and his mom struggling with finances, while annabeth and her father live comfortably.
but saltburn is interesting, because the antagonist throughout the entirety of it is, as far as the audience knows, lower class. you are introduced to him, not through judgement for his living condition, but through compassion and generosity. felix offers him a hand, even when he isn't in the same group as him. that in itself is a criticism of class dynamics.
listen. i hate rich people as much as the next gen-z college student. i personally have a hit list with many a billionaire's name right at the very top. but it's undeniable that, despite the class difference, the cattons - at least venitia and felix - are kind to oliver at first. obviously, he is a part of the other, but he is still a person. elspeth enjoys his presence. james treats him as a son. farleigh feels threatened by his presence, because he knows that, if they so choose, they could replace him with oliver.
i want to talk about farleigh for a second.
i literally have not seen anyone talk about farleigh, and i am upset about it. not only is he one of the most compelling characters - a supposed american slacker who lives with his extended family and blows their money on lavish means -, but he is important in the class discussion because it affects him directly. the cattons do not support his mother. she is in america, and although they have the ability to, they actively choose not to. the reason felix is bothered when farleigh implies that it is, in fact, a "race thing", is because it is. why is farleigh the one dependent on the cattons, and risking expulsion from the family? because he is the first other that they encounter.
and then pamela, who not only has sought help from the cattons, but disappears midway through with no explanation. she goes directly from rehab to them, and although she is trying to find a place to live on her own, the cattons offer her no assistance. they offer her nothing, and complain when she is in their space. they offer her NO help, when they so easily could set her up with a small flat and monthly allowance to help her find a job.
and not only is this a criticism of the upper class - the inactivity and extremely single-minded worldview that the cattons have, the amount that they are out of touch with not only the outside world and the lower class, but their own emotions -, it's also a criticism of the upper middle class.
as someone currently in college, whose parents are a college professor and a high school teacher, i am fairly middle class. however, there are so many people in my immediate vicinity - folks i know from high school, in my classes, extended family, etc., - who are Extremely upper middle class. however, they have the comfort of certain things that i, and my family, don't have. that's just part of life. however, in saltburn, oliver milks the "middle" in his "upper middle" class. he milks it, and he runs it absolutely dry.
someone truly in his alleged position would not be able to spend the summer lavishly and hedonistically gallivanting around the countryside of england, playing tennis and smoking cigarettes by the lake. hell, someone in my middle class position wouldn't be able to do that either, especially not while attending oxford fucking university. he would likely need to work, not just to support himself, but to support his mother, especially after - again, allegedly - his father died. and not only is this coming from a place of an oversight on his part, not realizing what his privilege truly is, but it also comes from a place of oversight on the part of the cattons.
do i think that saltburn is a movie about class? nope. at its core, it's a story about a desire for power and possession, ownership and obsession. there is this intense, almost vampiric lust throughout the entire thing, and that's in part what makes it the perfect setting for discussions of sexuality, of madness, and, honestly, class. wealth is power, and the cattons have a lot of it.

If I was in Hazbin hotel:
Author insert x Hazbin Hotel
Prompt: an author is bored as they decided to jump into their favorite fandom at this very moment.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Honestly I’m bored asf rn lmao.
Will, the blogger in tumblr known as Deadghosy was bored in his room as he listens to jay aka kub scoutz 😍 playing lil guardsman. Being even more bored they opened their palm as a digital portal opens-
OKAY STOP…at first I was gonna do that story ass shit but let me be real. I died by not getting enough sleep and I popped into hell for not liking those Jesus posts😭
I’d honestly be in the sloth ring for being lazy asf and being tired most of the time. But also be in the gluttony ring as well. A BIG BITCH GOTTA EATTTT😭
But I would probably still be able to go into the pride ring because of my pride in not needing help from people. 😭 I hate asking for damn help irl.
I actually have very sharp canine teeth and bottom rows, I might as well be mistaken for a humanoid demon lol/j
But if did have a demon form, it’s a bear since I eat and sleep all day lmao.
Tumblr media
Alastor wouldn’t “hate hate” me but find me annoying. I would try to get on his good side and never do deals with him obviously cause I like my soul 😍. But dead ass I’m showing him lingo of gen z ☝🏾💀 cause ain’t no way ima hear this deer man yap in a way I can’t understand. This is not no new broadcast from the old times dude. “Salutations!-” HAVIN ASS😕
Friendship level: 5/10
Sir Pentious, I’m teaching this bitch how to do the whip and nae nae 😄. I love him personally cause he so silly sometimes. I would just pop up as he works on weapons but not help him lol. I think personally our friendship would be the kind to talk to each other for a little and stop and repeat😕
Friendship level: 4.5/10
Charlie would like me because of my hyperactive personality sometimes. Like if I’m fixating on something, she would listen and probably tell her father. But mostly i wouldn’t do the trust exercises, she’ll have to drag my black ass to do them 💀
Friendship level: 6/10
Lucifer and I would be so chill dead ass. He’s probably adopt me if I’m gonna be honest cause I also have a duck toy in my room as we speak 😭LITERALLY I MIGHT AS WELL BE A MINI HIM WITH HIM HAVING HYPER FIXATIONS.
Friendship level: 10/10
Vaggie and me, idk she’s chill but short tempered. But I don’t think she would hate me but only he suspicious at first, but then just be chill with me. I would try to help her around but procrastinate lmao
Friendship level: 5.5//10
Husk would probably be chill but not have an opinion on me honestly. It will depend on me just going to talk to him or being nervous to talk to him. I hate being awkward so I would just wave or sit by his bar and chill with him as I draw.
Friendship level: it’s probably between 3/10 and 5/10
Angel and me, idk I feel like I would be a small friend of his to help. He wouldn’t trauma dump that much on me cause I’m just a kid so it would be like “oh my work is shit but my boss is even more shit.” So I would just nod acting like I don’t know what’s going on. Plus, I would probably try to make him something with the help of Lucifer
Friendship level: ima be honest…it’s probably a 4/10 cause I’m a minor and he has problems he need it overcome. He doesn’t need a minor to yap his ear off 😕
The Vee’s…😕ain’t no way ima talk to them front to front if I’m actually gonna be their friends dead ass. I would probably mostly be friends with Velvette to hook me up on outfits😍
Friendship level: -1000/10
Valentino…HAH YOU WOULD HAVE TO CATCH MY BLACK ASS ACTUALLY DEAD IF IM GONNA CHILL WITH THIS BASTARD 😂 I’m burning his whole studio down in a cool ass pyro tf2 mask. Fuck that bitch, all my homies hate Valentino 🤭
ENEMY LEVEL: 10000000/10🖕🏾
Vox, I’m begging him to try to advance my phone so I can prank call heaven and hell at the same time. I’m using so much evil ass shit🦆 like dead ass ima say “I heard your high school bully is in heaven” to an angel so they would go crazy trying to find their bully lmao. But Vox would hate my ass cause..I’m me? Idk lol
Enemy level: 8.5/10
Velvette, eh I feel like we would be mutuals but not too friendly. More like a hook up just so i can get free outfits and she can get a quick teen model and I can leave with the fit fr 😍 no money, free outfit‼️
Friendship level: 4.5/10
Adam and me..we throwin hands. Full on fist to fist. He probably would try to cheat but nahhh, you gettin kicked in the manhood bitch 😄‼️ but yeah me and him, enemies for life. He’s funny I’ll admit, but be honest having him beside you irl💀
Enemy level: he better keep one eye open.
Sera…yeah she not letting me in heaven lmao 😭 that’s all ima say LMAOO
Friendship level: -0/10
Lute will 100% percent kill me for my mouth 😭. I’d probably say GYATT to her for funnies only to get stab. But I would just be quiet and try to be on her good side lmao
Friendship level: 2/10
Emily would like me but would be the type of person to keep me in check with my mouth and vulgar language as I just chill eating all the food in heaven. She def givin me good tours.
Friendship level: a good 7.5/10
Tumblr media
That’s all I have lmao

okay, so i don't want to, like, Start Something or whatever so we're doing a barely-tagged, separate post. i also realise this is mostly pointless because others have already said what i'm going to say, and did it better, with far more grace, and sound less like an asshole than i do.
but jesus louise helen christ, the weird fucked up ideas people have around abuse and personal responsibility and the effect of trauma. like as an abuse and csa survivor, it genuinely alarms me to read posts that use arguments i remember my dad making. like, i'm assuming most of this rhetoric comes from gen z — maybe that's inaccurate; maybe that's unfair. but right now i'm very much Having A Moment Here that the kids aren't alright.
no 22-year-old should be repeating the same awful, manipulative, logically and morally bankrupt justifications for violence and torture my dad says. like literally what's in the first two episodes of ofmd s2 is torture.
i love ed; he's an amazing character. taika is hella wowza top marks acting him. but like.
like.
torture, my dude. physical and psychological. trauma. harassment. that we see the lasting effects of through s2.
just. i. what??
so here we go, okay. have too many, zealously highlighted screenshots so i can dig into details.
cut to save your dashes. content warning for discussions of abuse and trauma (if that wasn't obvious), as well as spoilers for ofmd s2.

re: ed knew what he was doing was wrong and felt guilty about it at the time:
we have no on-screen, textual examples of this. not in the dialogue; not in the acting; not in the blocking; not in the cinematography or music. nothing.
knowing the crew are overworked and kind of traumatised by all the violence, ed bribes them with cake. because, as we know, cake like tea fixes everything. only ed wasn't even with them to share in the eating of the cake. he made izzy responsible for that. he doesn't give the crew a break; he doesn't choose less ethically-fraught prizes to hunt. there is not one scene of ed talking directly to the crew — until he points a gun at each of them.
we see ed crying (and drinking, and rhino horn-ing [way to help further extinction, man]) but it's always paired with shots or flashbacks that reference stede. ed is still all up in his feelings about stede, and ed confirms this when he tells frenchie the myth about albatrosses never needing to return to land. ed cannot go back, does not want to go back, because he was rejected. (like, stede is literally landed gentry, come on!) all he wants to do instead is stay at sea committing to this unhinged version of unstable, sadistic piracy.
but okay, okay. say we ignore all of that. let's say ed does feel sorry and guilty and ashamed of his actions. he knows what he's doing is wrong and unfair and cruel. that it's harming others. that it's particularly harming the dude that ed has, for better or worse, basically spent his life with (izzy; i mean izzy). ed… still continues to do the things! how far off are we at this point from the definition of malicious? you know action x hurts person b and then you do it anyway. is that honestly a better, happier, more ethically defensible reading of the character?
re: the crew didn't mutiny because they love ed despite his violent, sadistic actions.
mutinies were a thing, yes. but both historically and in the world rules established by the show, mutiny is disincentivised through threats, distraction via extra work, and corporeal punishment. we see both ed and izzy use all three of these to try to prevent the crew from disobeying orders. they didn't wait until the storm and izzy shooting ed to mutiny because they understood or sympathised with ed; they took the chance to kill him then because that was the first real opportunity they'd had. the reward finally out-weighed the risk given that ed was going to kill them all that night anyway.
again, we have no scenes, no dialogue, no visual or audio cues to tell us that the crew understands or loves ed — excluding izzy, obviously. fang could also be on that list, if you take into account his personality and his behaviour both in s1 and later in s2 in the fishing boat scene. but in the first two episodes, we only see the crew show trauma responses around ed. they talk about him but almost never to him. and when they do have a direct conversation with ed, it is either confrontation or head down, submissive, "of course, blackbeard; anything you say" placating. i'm so baffled where the show points to any sign of love from the crew towards ed before his "death".
Tumblr media
re: ed can't be held responsible because he was suicidal.
uhm. no. hard no. a harder no than stede's brazilian cherry wood mast. fucked up people do fucked up things but part of being an adult is owning your fucked-upped-ness and not fucking up others while you work on unfucking yourself. children, children are not fully responsible for the impact of their actions on others when they're deep in their feelings, especially if they're feeling their feelings as a trauma response. this is because literally their brain cannot do that kind of control. it doesn't have that software pack installed yet. ed does have all the adult updates installed, even if he isn't running them at that moment. he has no right to take out his feelings on other people: to maim them, to psychologically torture them, to abuse them, to work them to exhaustion. to kill them. he does not get a free pass to do suicide by abused employees. (like suicide by cop but more indirect and passive and harmful.) talk about passive aggressive.
secondly, ed is not just passively suicidal and happy to find new risks that might end his life. he is very purposefully taking izzy with him (see: literally removing the bits of izzy that would help let him walk away from ed; the fact that ed becomes actively suicidal only once he thinks izzy is dead; the whole keeping izzy's corpse in front of his and stede's beach shack i mean inn — the codependence, she runs deep). ed is also putting the crew through the same risks, the same isolation, the same danger. both stede and izzy agreed that ed had gone full scorched earth policy. you don't get forgiven for the murder part of a murder-suicide pact just because of the suicide part. not to mention that no one (once again, you could potentially argue izzy as an exception) was good on a murder-suicide pact with blackbeard.
and then to say the crew felt guilty? i assume i'm misreading that. the crew. felt guilty. for ed's actions. that is, if not victim blaming and if not darvo, a very close inbred cousin of them. like hapsburg jaw inbred close.
Tumblr media
re: ed healing and his view of himself as a monster.
to heal means, in part, to accept responsibility for the harm you've caused, whether it was intentional or not. it means making amends. it means building or rebuilding relationships where possible. it means putting the other person or persons' feelings and boundaries and need for safety above your desire for absolution or forgiveness. it means working through your own guilt and shame and anger (or whatever drove you to act the way you did) in a separate space, not with the people you hurt, but someone who can be a step removed, more impersonal and objective to help you reflect and face hard truths as needed. i say this as both someone involved in activism and community reparations and as an abuse survivor who has done nearly 30 years of therapy learning this in order to not hurt people. it's not ed's fault he's fucked up just like it isn't my fault i am. but it is on me, like it is on anyone, to make sure i limited as much as possible the harm i can cause to others because i learned some awful but very effective tricks at a young age to survive.
ed does not really do any of the above. he doesn't say "sorry". he speaks in generalised language. he complains about the cat bell (which he seems to wear only for one day, given the implied timeline with lucius and pete's engagement). i have a model ship on a stand that says "this is a safe space ship" as a joke because i work for the government and have written press releases that sound just like ed's "apology". where you take no responsibility and encourage "the culture" to move on.
so, really, my question becomes: ed sees himself as a monster. in s1, we had enough balance between ed's current actions and his referenced past actions to see this belief as likely untrue. in s2 though — i mean, is it? is that an unfair or inaccurate belief? i can understand how carrying that belief can get in the way of ed's growth and eventual healing but like. from an outside perspective of ed-the-fictional-character. he's not a "good" person. he's capable of and has done and continued to do horrible, cruel things. ethically, can you argue with that statement about him?
re: ed trying to destroy relationships because of his self-worth issues and instead the consequences of his actions proving that he's loved.
this is the point that made me go: right, no, i need to respond. i need to say my piece about this. izzy and the crew suffering ed's violent tyranny and then sticking around on the revenge anyway afterwards is not a sign of love. it is not showing love to bear pain for someone. it not showing love to let someone mistreat you, threaten you, hurt you, maim you. their actions are selfish and done to give them feelings of power and control over you. lying back and thinking of england to get through it is not love. it is absolutely a survival technique. but it is not love when you do it at the expense of yourself or others.
i also disagree that ed was trying to push people away or break his relationships with others. we know from s1 that ed is fairly blasé about whether crew members die. again, we don't see any friendly or intimate exchanges between ed and any of the crew to imply any kind of relationship there beyond "tools who accomplish ed's goals". the one exception, as always, is izzy. and as previously stated, ed seems bound and determined, in a very conscious way, to bring izzy into death with him. ed does everything in his power to make izzy want to kill ed, or at least agree that it's best if ed dies, and to want to kill himself so ed doesn't have to die alone. that isn't ed breaking that relationship; it's making it permanent in a really fucked up shakespearian way. the only relationship we see ed waffle between wanting to keep and wanting to push away is stede. after his corporate "apology" and the fishing trip with fang, all of ed's dialogue is with stede and a little bit with zheng until izzy's death scene. the crew loving ed just isn't a thing, at least not one we're shown. not from either side. ed's relationships are with stede and kind of, sort of with izzy (because he does manage to, if not fully break, do some major damage to that).
love did not save ed. ed wanting to live, because stede came back, because he didn't want to jump off hornigold's cliff in the first place, saved ed. izzy saved everyone else.
so yeah: that's it; that's the post. the rhetoric that abuse is love or that abuse can be "cured" with love or that trauma isn't lasting and serious and has impacts on people's daily lives is just. wild. wild.
and terrifying.
my dad was born in the 40s. why is anyone born in the 80s or later still defending this mindset? it honestly, truly freaks me out.
guess it's good i have a fucking therapy appointment on monday.

Golden Guard ghost memes but this time I’m aware they’ve been perceived by my friends
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Look I’m just saying that the methods in which generations dealt with trauma over four hundred years roughly went from “whats a trauma” to “shove it under the bed no one will notice” to “make memes” so. No matter how old the Guards are biologically, there has gotta be some MAJOR boomer vs gen z class divides in the ghosts like c’mon

Gen Z has graduated from advocating that icky fanfics should be censored—to any romances that make them feel icky.
Molly X. Chang has a dark fantasy story coming out that antis are ALREADY HARASSING HER ABOUT despite not having read the damn book. Antis are literally ruining what SHOULD be the most exciting amazing time of her life, her debut year. But because one of you purity culture fuckers decided her story (WHICH IS ROOTED IN HER GENERATIONAL TRAUMA AND HER FAMILY’S FOLKLORE” was *problematic* that gave yall carte blanch to attack her.
It makes me sick.
This is why we need to fight back against this anti/purity culture NOW because this mentality is dangerous and always leads to the dehumanization of queer folks.
It starts with fandom and bleeds into Republicans banning queer books.

Wanna steal a car? Embry is already grabbing a crowbar.
Wanna take pictures of Sam asleep and stick them all around the house? Fuck he's already got the camera.
Wanna tie-dye random clothes? Already getting the bleach ready.
Tumblr media
Quil:
Terrified.
In a constant state of fear when he's around you.
Like, he doesn't know what you're gonna do.
Bark at him? Definite no.
Set the house on fire because of a spider? He's outta here.
Crying because you couldn't renew your spotify/apple music? Doesn't know how to react.
Quil.exe has stopped working.
Tumblr media
Seth:
Seth is a little puppy.
Will literally do anything you ask.
Go up to Sam and start reciting the lyrics to I'm A Survivor? He is already marching over there.
You ask him to make bread from 1930 with you? Sure, he doesn't care that it has random ingredients in it.
Would definitely let you do the "p for papas, it's a papas party" on him while in wolf form.
Tumblr media
Leah:
Questioning everything.
She asks where your shirt is from? The only response she gets is "Gaslight, gatekeep, girl boss"
Utterly confused.
Wishes she could travel back in time and kidnap the maker of tiktok so she wouldn't have to hear "Attenzione pickpocket" for the 100th time.
Will cry if you start trauma dumping out of nowhere.
Give my girl Leah a rest

Ragnar
With the program

He understands gen z slang like no other
Rizz? He’s got it. Mister Worldwide? Been there, done that.
Turns into a ninth century (?) twitter queen
Lagertha
She doesn’t really care all that much about gen z slang
“You’re slaying? Me too, but on the battlefield. Catch up.”
Pretends not to understand
Fully understands and sometimes busts down on her gen z meme culture knowledge
Aslaug
Aslaug is above gen z slang
But she also knows that she’s camp
She just knows
She’s a volva, magic is in her blood. You know what else is? An immaculate sense in fashion
That’s the only thing that might make her willing to try to understand our culture
Perfected the lightskin stare the moment she was born (it’s permanently on her face istg)
Athelstan
PLEASE NO
You know that ancient man video? Athelstan is the ancient man. Would he understand the video? No.
This would be his response: God, that girl looks terribly drunk.
As a linguist, he tries
Approaches it as a foreign language. It works to some degree.
I never want to hear the words “You’re serving girlboss today, Ragnar.” Out of his mouth
(this happened to me in a dream. Literally traumatizing)
Bjorn
Thinks it’s girlish (it is not)
Would say “You’re one of them queers?”
I mean yeah, but so is your mom.
Gen z talk isn’t cool enough for him (he’s suffering from Rollo’s internalized generational homophobia/gayness, give him some space)
Ubbe
Like a supportive mom
‘That’s wonderful sweetie. Now back to my casserole.’
Absolutely understands gen z slang after you teach him
Prides himself on having the most rizz
Boy you rizzed up a slave girl and your aunt calm down
Protects gen z slang against ivar like it’s cultural heritage
Hvitserk
Worst mistake you could make is teach him slang
He uses it
Just incorrectly
At all times
And does not care to be corrected.
Slang is a product of pop culture? Hvitserk is now making it HIS product
Deal with it (don’t. make him stfu pls.)
Sigurd
He’s one of those abcdefu people
The ones that are like ‘let me sing my new song for you, and if you don’t like it, I’ll pay for your gas’
So annoying
But also in an indie artist generational trauma daddy issues kind of way, so I can forgive him
Not really
Ivar
HATES gen z slang more than anything
He thinks it’s stupid
Dumb
Dull
Incredibly unintellectual
Secretly uses it to express his feelings in a diary he burns every week
Ecbert
ECBERT MY SILLY LITTLE GASLIGHT GATEKEEP GIRLBOSS
Manwhore and proud!
Get this man a gag asap or you’ll live to regret the day you met him
With him and Ragnar, you’re gonna be stuck in a little hellcircle (probably to be joined by Athelstan)
Gets acrylics despite not knowing what they are and clicks with them
STOP HIM! STOP THIS SILLY LITTLE MAN!
Aethelwulf
Literally the opposite of Ecbert
If he has to spend one more second around his father speaking slang
He’ll cut off his ear to match Judith
And then the other to outdo her (he’s such a loser smh)
So done with Ecbert
He’ll literally hate everything Ecbert likes

just read ur entire essay about vegeta and like.. goddamn you just gave me a whole new perspective on that funky little man. i love the way it was written and organized
ALSO ALSO i read this bit and am begging u to expand on this concept it sounds so interesting /gen
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Oh you would, would you. I am delighted to oblige.
So. Super Saiyan. A transformation available to Saiyans past certain power thresholds that, while more or less freely accessible after first awakening to it, needs a trigger to become accessible in the first place. Over the course of Z in its many adaptations, we see the first awakenings of Goku, Vegeta, Future Trunks, and Gohan onscreen. Goten, Trunks, and Future Gohan are also Super Saiyans, but we don’t know for sure how that came about. Goten and Trunks in particular are why I say that Super Saiyan (more specifically, the first time you access Super Saiyan) can be read as a trauma response, because there’s no real evidence this is the case on their parts. You can make an argument for them, but in general I choose to believe they’re exceptions to this take, so I won’t be discussing them.
Oh and as for Cabba, Caulifla, and Kale…… they’re literally from an alternate universe. Super Saiyan just has different rules there. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.
Getting back on track. Goku’s the obvious place to start, so let’s look at him first. In the entirety of Dragon Ball (that I’ve seen), not counting the comedic needle bit in that one episode of GT, Goku has only ever been seen crying three times. Once was his reunion with Grandpa Gohan in early Dragon Ball. Once was in the anime’s version of the Tournament of Power, after Roshi’s near-death incident.
Once was at the beginning of King Piccolo, when he finds Krillin dead. King Piccolo saga is a little infamous for the sudden tonal whiplash—yeah, Tien breaks Yamcha’s leg in the tournament just prior, but they make up about it and it’s not as dire as someone dying. What’s really striking to me about it is Goku’s reaction. He’s more upset than we’ve ever seen him. And he loses worse than we ever see him lose because of it. Sure, in the end everything is put right, but.
But, the thing about trauma is that it makes time go weird. Fast forward about ten years. It’s suddenly happening again. His best friend is dead. He couldn’t do anything to stop it. He doesn’t know that Porunga can revive people who have already died once. As far as Goku knows, Krillin’s gone for good this time. And he watched it happen and watched Freeza laugh about it.
And he reacts essentially the same way. Only this time, he’s orders of magnitude stronger than he was when he was 15, and he has the experience and the wherewithal to control himself somewhat better. Emphasis on somewhat, because it’s very clear that he’s worried about going completely off the deep end in the grips of this power. And he’s right to be! I’m willing to bet money that in Gohan’s whole life, Goku has never pulled the ‘I’m your father, don’t talk back to me’ card on him, and that’s one of the smallest ways this power changes him. When he’s fighting Freeza, he’s a lot more like Vegeta, down to the way he smirks. He’s condescending. He’s brutal. I’ve seen comments to the effect of ‘Freeza’s not fighting Goku anymore—now, Freeza’s fighting Kakarot’ and that’s truly what it feels like.
I could go on, but the particulars of the Namek fight aren’t the important part. The important part is that Goku recognizes how badly that whole thing fucked him up and stays on Yardrat for a year explicitly to get a handle on Super Saiyan before returning home. He knows that if he loses control like that again, there’s a very real possibility he’ll end up hurting someone he cares about, or worse, becoming someone he really doesn’t want to be. (Call it a reach, it definitely is one, but I like to believe Goku picked up Instant Transmission while he was there so he’ll never be too late or too far away to help ever again.)
Vegeta’s case is less… visible? So, much of this is going to be purely my extrapolation. If you take him at his word, Vegeta triggered Super Saiyan with the sheer amount of hatred he felt toward himself for his inadequacy and like. Hello. That’s already a giveaway. I don’t believe he’s outright lying, but I also believe he’s simplifying matters a little. Or a lot. Per My Last Long-Winded Essay, he only gets that far because he leaves Earth entirely for areas uninhabited, which is good for him in some respects and bad for him in others.
The sweet irony of it is that it was Vegeta’s own efforts that locked him out of Super Saiyan. He tried to brute-force his way into it singlemindedly, in the belief that he was simply not strong enough, but Super Saiyan’s trigger is raw, overwhelming emotion. It can be one very clear emotion, or several different ones mixed up, but it’s emotion. It doesn’t answer to logic by its very nature, and frankly, neither does trauma. So Vegeta’s removed all the distractions to his training, yes, but in doing so he’s also removed all the distractions from everything else. Without anybody else around, he doesn’t have anything to get himself out of his own head, so now he’s got a whole universe of space for two and a half decades’ worth of repressed shit to come raging out. Funny how the minute he lets himself feel actual emotions other than the ones he wants everyone to see, the transformation explicitly tied to and powered by emotion rears its head, huh.
Vegeta makes several really dumb decisions once he gets back on Earth, in sharp contrast to the way he handles himself on Namek before he’s face-to-face with Freeza. On Namek, he’s careful to fly under the radar whenever he can, which is why I love the fit he launches into when he realizes Gohan played him, because that’s his control slipping. He’s opportunistic and sneaky and it’s clear he’s doing his damnedest to get what he wants without having to fight people who can kill him. He doesn’t hear the Ginyu Force is coming and rush off to challenge them, he’s like ‘oh shit’ and immediately fucks off elsewhere. I can only make sense of the way he acts during the androids/Cell as a symptom of his need to prove himself.
And make no mistake—it is a need, not a want. The power’s meaningless without people to witness and acknowledge it, the same way the authority of royalty is. His chosen course of action, though, is sort of like painting over rotten wood, if that makes any sense. Letting himself get high off the power, pretending that everything went exactly the way it should have gone from the start, refusing to acknowledge all of his Issues more than passingly. Furthermore, his victory must be complete and unquestionable: that’s why he lets Cell take Android 18. He can’t just… not lose, he has to win. Anything less is anathema to him. You see, he hasn’t yet figured out that he can survive without it.
Okay sorry that got a little in the weeds but I hope you get what I was driving at there. Vegeta’s a mess and talking about him makes me Unstable. Let’s move on.
Of the main four Saiyans, I think Future Trunks’ awakening is the simplest to understand: his trigger is that moment of pure, crushing grief when he finds Gohan dead in the rain. And it’s no wonder. Aside from Gohan and his mother, who does Trunks even talk to in that timeline? We never see him with friends, not until Super. Trunks’ ‘You were everything to me’ in the dub version of the special might be only debatably canon but it’s hardly an exaggeration. Friend. Teacher. Comrade. Brother. Perhaps even a father figure, in some ways. Certainly the only other one of his kind—half-human, half-alien from a long-dead warrior race. There was literally nobody else in the world who could come close to understanding him to the degree that Gohan could have. Gohan dies and Trunks is effectively all alone, the terminarch of one species left to shoulder the fate of another.
It’s a staggering loss for anybody, let alone for a boy of 12 or 13.
Speaking of. Gohan. I think Gohan’s a strange case—not powered by grief or anger, but something different. In the moments before he unlocks Super Saiyan, he’s thinking ‘I have to do it’ before flashing abruptly to all the different times where he was ‘too weak or too scared’ to fight. I personally believe that it’s less determination or ‘the power coming in response to a need’, as Goku puts it, that tips him over the edge. Fear, I think—while not being the whole reason, there’s surely some self-directed anger or disappointment involved—is probably the biggest factor. That’s Gohan’s whole thing—he’s scared of fighting, and to some degree of his own power. If I laid out all the specific examples we’d be here for another thousand words, so I’ll just say that he’s been Through It. We all know this.
This sort of has a continuation in the iconic Super Saiyan 2 transformation against Cell. It’s all on him and it’s not until Cell actually kills someone in front of Gohan that it really twigs that it’s do or die for him. And as much as he’s angry at Cell, the realization that Cell means business, that he really will kill them all? It scares him. Fight or flight takes over. The only real difference is that he chooses fight. The change in how Gohan handles Cell is what really convinces me that emotionally he’s going through something similar to Goku and Vegeta—because it’s almost to the letter exactly what happens with Goku against Freeza. The cruelty, the condescension. I’d argue Gohan leans into the mean demeanor, subconsciously or not, to keep from feeling the fear. And it costs him. But the Gohan discussion is a whole other discussion.
As for Future Gohan, I’m putting a disclaimer here now that none of what I’m about to say is really provable—just really really interesting to think about.
Future Gohan’s life is maybe the worst-case scenario. Like the future timeline sucks specifically for Gohan because he doesn’t like to fight and he has to anyway because what other choice does he have? Let everyone on Earth die without at least trying? He couldn’t, not in good conscience. And it’s not like he’ll have a normal life so long as the androids are around anyway. So in the middle of grieving basically everybody he’s ever known and felt affection for (sans his mother and grandfather, it’s more implied that he’s estranged from them, or at least intentionally distancing himself from them to keep them out of harm’s way), he's also making himself channel anger he hates feeling so he has a shot of even surviving these killers that only exist because of something his father did at least ten years ago. This shouldn’t be his fight, and yet.
Here’s my personal theory. Gohan goes into that final fight with the androids fully intending to die. Not just expecting to, but hoping to. He knows that if he was only barely scraping through those fights with both arms, there’s no way in hell he’ll kill them both when he only has one. He’s not an idiot, but you know what he is? Exhausted. Twelve years of this, being the only resistance to this threat and failing each and every time. He knows what will unlock Super Saiyan for Trunks. He knows there’s someone to carry on the torch and lift the burden. And it’s cruel and selfish of him to put all of that on Trunks and throw himself to the wolves, but it was cruel that he had to carry that all by himself for so long.
He’s fucking tired.
Anyways. That’s my TEDtalk on Super Saiyan. If you read it all the way to the end you’re a real one. Thanks for this ask, you two!

The World-Ending Threats Are Easier in Fantasy
I talked with a friend about this last night and I thought I could share this with you. We talked about Baldur's Gate and DnD campaigns, as well as fantasy in general and the tendency of a lot of fantasy to deal with world ending threats. And I thought I would share, because it is an interesting topic.
Tumblr media
Spoilers for Baldur's Gate 3
In a lot of fantasy stories there are potential world ending threats. Sure, often enough the world is not literally gonna end, but it would cease to be the same world we know it to be. In Baldur's Gate 3 the villains basically plan for world domination. Or at least Sword Coast domination. But it is bad enough I would argue. Which is why in a good playthrough you got to stop them at all costs. So, in the end you defeat them, one by one. And then you go up to the big evil netherbrain and you kill that thing, too, after which the world is gonna be saved once more.
And themes like this are fairly common in fantasy. How many fantasy stories do you know in which the bad guy wants to rule over the world or reshape it entirely. Sure, it is fairly rare that the villain outright wants to destroy it - that is usually only something that "force of nature" villains want to do - but the fate of the world is kinda always on the line and of course the world tends to be saved by our fearless heroes.
For the longest time this went so far into that power fantasy aspect of it, that we never actually did consider how it would feal for those fearless heroes to have the fate of the world on their shoulders. Only fairly recently fantasy has turned more to dealing with the trauma our heroes would face during their quest to save the world, while having to kill and seeing their friends killed. In fact we are so used to heroes being impervious to trauma, that there are still a lot of people who will get very cranky when presented with a fantasy world where trauma does actually affect the heroes. (I just will remind you of how angry the nerds became to see traumatized Luke in The Last Jedi.)
But even so... the fantasy apocalypse is a lot nicer than the real world apocalypse, isn't it?
I mean that seriously. Because especially our younger generations do not know a world before the apocalypse. I am a millenial and I fairly well remember that moment when I was just 16 and realized how fucked the world was. Like, literally, I remember the exact day and time at which I realized that climate change was real and was going to fuck us all over. But at least I do remember a time before that. I do remember having normal winters and mild summers. Gen Z often doesn't.
And here is the thing: The real world apocalypse is not as easy to stop as the fantasy apocalypse. In the fantasy apocalypse it is fairly easy to stop it. Sure, the questline might be convoluted, but in the end it is "destroy magical item in vulcano" or "blow this one bad guy up". Once the main baddy has been defeated usually their troops will just give up - or remember they had better things to do.
But this doesn't really work in the real world. I cannot just go, assassinate Netanjahu and stop the genocide of Palestinians. And I cannot just take some magical item, throw it into mount Etna and stop climate change. And I also cannot throw Elon Musk into a portal and stop capitalism like that.
And sure, I do not have to deal with goblins, dragons, orks at the same time. Great. But... Like... We are all still getting traumatized, right? Like, we all get traumatized and especially between marginalized left-wing folks I do not know a lot of people who did not witness at least one violent encounter with evil goons (police).
And we are all traumatized. Losing a house in a wildfire is traumatizing. Seeing loved ones die of a pandemic the politicians are not taking seriously is traumatizing. Being in constant survival mode because you are too poor for anything else, is traumatizing as well. Most current workplaces are also traumatizing in their own little ways. School is traumatizing for so many of us. We are all getting traumatized by the world being fucked up.
To be perfectly honest with you: I would rather pick up a fight with a dragon, a netherbrain or whatever. Because a dragon or a netherbrain at least gives me something concrete to do. Because a dragon I can slay. Capitalism I can't. No matter how much I protest, I cannot kill capitalism - and I cannot stop climate change. And even if we did a revolution... It might work, yes, but really... slaying a dragon would be so much easier.
This is of course the entire function of fantasy as escapism. Because fantasy allows us a world where the end might be stopped fairly easy. When I DM a DnD campaign and let my players stop the end of the world, it is so we all can have the catharthis of this ending.
I just... wished that the real world would make it a bit easier.
Sorry for rambling. But yeah, it was something we talked about yesterday and I thought I might share.

in re your post about therapy speak and ship wars, i THINK i agree from what I do understand, but i also dont know what therapy speak means? I looked it up and got this definition "Therapy speak is a colloquial term that refers to the use of psychological, therapeutic, or mental health language in everyday conversation. It can include terms like "boundaries," "abuse," "psychopath," and "trauma"."
So would an example of such be, "X ship is better than Y ship because X ship respects each others boundaries, but in Y ship they're a psychopath"? And then you know probably some added death/doxxing threats cuz ship wars.
Either way, yeah, ship wars dumb af, I just am dumb af too so I don't know what the post means. I also, fortunately, don't encounter much of therapy speak in my fandom spaces or online in general (proven by the fact that I had to look it up) as I just talk to people that I know and avoid the For You pages (which, plot note, are very often not For Me) so I'm lucky to avoid stupid opinions.
Thanks for answering if you do choose to, I know that at least several of the replies/responses to that post are likely stupid af, so I hope that my stupid af question is at least stupid af in a different way :) If I somehow have the wrong definition feel free to just link me to something that explains it better, because regardless it seems like a useful term to know!
not a stupid question at all.
so in the context of that post, abusing therapy speak refers to people who misuse terms like "narcissist" and "bipolar disorder" and "gaslighting" to suit their own personal tastes.
say for example, a character is arrogant and kind of haughty. if you don't like that character because people ship him with the character you like to ship with someone else, you insist he's a "narcissist" when he's you know. just arrogant.
and you say he can't be with her, because he's a narcissist and he has problems. that's problematic.
or say there's a female character you hate for having genuine human reactions to traumatic things. you'd say well I don't like her because she lets her obvious bpd hurt people instead of trying to fix her issues, she's so messy :(
and then if someone lies to another character, say their enemy, because they're fucking enemies, then you'd say oh he GASLIGHTS him, how could you guys ship this??? toxic ship???
so that's what that post refers to.
therapy speak as a whole, by definition, is fine because PTSD and depression and trauma do exist.
but in certain spaces, especially Twitter and TikTok and Tumblr of course, it's been weaponized as a tool to harass people who are fans of characters or ships that they themselves do not like.
which is ridiculous.
like you can say you don't like a ship without feeling the need to diagnose the two characters with whatever fun term your gen z therapist tossed at you that week.
you can say oh I simply do not like this character instead of oh he has an obvious mental illness and that's why I don't like him.
or you know.
he's a terrible representative of (insert illness) and that's why I don't like him-
bitch, we used to just not like things.
now it's like... oh this character is a psychopath.
let me read you a Wikipedia page on dsm-5 and explain that my personal preference is morally correct while yours is amoral.
that's why that post meant.

My Twisted Take: AU Information
Tumblr media
Hello my lovelies, so I'm revamping this page as of 2023 with my requests going live! I write for Twisted Wonderland and have a small AU for it! It isn't anything totally game-changing, but it's how I interpret things! So please be kind and if you dislike what I'm writing, block me. I don't want hate of any kind; it's unkind.
Tumblr media
So this is a proper College AU! When I began playing the game it took me maybe a month or two to find out that the characters weren't all college-aged. I saw them all as 18+, minus Ortho. The characters are from Japan and in Japan college age is 18, so it was a minor confusion. With that being said, I still see them as college-aged. So for this AU, they are all aged up by two years, making the first-year students all 18 years old.
If you dislike aging up characters, then please simply block this account and move on. I also write NSFW for these characters, so this is your warning. I don't tolerate hate in my inbox and I will simply block you.
Tumblr media
In this AU, the Reader is dead in their world. Think of the Isekai trope where someone dies and goes to another world. The Reader is aware of this and therefore isn't looking for a way home. Crowley doesn't exactly listen to them when they explain this, and he is still actively looking for a way to send them home. This is an AU of a Reader who doesn't wish to go back to being a corpse.
The Reader is still the one who has to fix things for others. They are more active in doing this, unlike Yuu. They aren't a fly on the wall in this AU and their actions have changed how some characters view them.
Reader is stronger than normal. It's the only way I could think of how they haven't died yet with how proactive they are in all the overblots. My excuse is their world has higher gravity, therefore they are naturally stronger.
Reader is a strong and independent character. They aren't pushed around by Crowley and have some sass to them. They will snap back when need be.
Reader will always be written as Non-Binary, but not explicitly stated. I will be using they/them pronouns for all fics. If I write explicit content, I will have two separate versions for the two binary genders.
Reader has more Gen Z humor, since I have that humor. They're also more chaotic and ready to toss themselves into danger
Reader isn't a therapist. I have yet to meet someone my age or younger who doesn’t have at least one mental illness or trauma-related response to things. Therefore I don’t believe they exist. So the Reader isn’t equipped to deal with their own shit, let alone everyone else’s.
No Reader descriptions. No skin color, hair color, eye color, or anything will be mentioned for the reader. The most you might hear is “playing with hair” but as for the length or texture of said hair…who knows. So I do apologize if you are bald and read that and you’re no longer immersed. I am doing my best to be inclusive to everybody.
No mentions of mental illnesses. While it will be implied at times that the reader isn’t neurotypical, I will not be describing what type of things the reader has going on. Again, it’s to be inclusive. I simply cannot write completely neurotypical as that has never been me so I wouldn’t even know where to begin on that.

ATTENTION GEN Z, I know we hate poetry, but please, if you've ever felt alone, or hated technology, or hated Gen Alpha, please read this, repost, do whatever, but please, this was written for all of you <3
The news this morning
Was talking about how we go to Chat GPT
For therapy
And advice
And my mother said it’s just because we don’t know how
To communicate face to face
When why should we?
You shoved an iPad into our faces
The second we were old enough to comprehend it
You put on the TV
And we believed the characters were speaking live
And they could see us
Through those pixels
Why shouldn’t we turn to a computer
To give us answers
When it’s that that gave us the issues to begin with?
Why shouldn’t we
Chat with a computer
About nothing and everything
When it is that
That made us feel so isolated?
People wonder
Why we’re so concerned about Gen Alpha
And it’s obvious
When we think about it
It’s not because they’re growing up too fast
It’s because we know what it’s like
To have wires shoved into our veins
And now
Now they were born with them
Already pulsing through their blood
We don’t want them to make the same mistakes we did
But I think it’s too late,
They’re already turning into what we don’t want
Anyone
To ever be
And it’s scary to watch,
We know what technology has done to us
And we don’t want to watch anyone else
Succumb to it like we did
We are the last generation
Who went outside to play
And know what birds sound like
And wish to break their phones
We are the last generation
That will ever
Ever
Have a normal childhood
Now we can just watch
As the depression rates get higher
And more young children know what suicide is
Too early
And learn how to self harm
And lose their innocence
And be scared of men
And not care for dolls
We are scared of them
But we’re scared for them
Of course we turn to AI to talk to
Our parents don’t get it,
They can barely find opening hours for a shop,
While we can find a 10-step guide on how to murder,
Or build a bomb,
And guides on how to manipulate your body
And everything is at our fingertips
This is generational trauma that they have created
We can watch someone shooting their brains out
And we can receive photos from anyone
And why do we know what everything we shouldn’t worry about is?
We had COVID
And we turned to screens
And went on TikTok
And created trends
And it felt like a community
Until everyone was there
And we couldn’t do anything
And we got addicted
And we can’t turn back
We started with chat rooms
And we found like minded-people
And it was always “sweetie, be careful of creeps on the internet”
And now it’s just
“Be in bed by 10”
But we’ll keep scrolling
And we all have friends who live half the world away
And if you mention that
Someone has to ask if you’ve called yet
And “have you seen their face?”
We can look at anything
There are guides for everything
We know where Kim K was two minutes ago
And why do I feel pressure to always have something on my story?
We talk to robots
Because no adults will ever know
How sick we feel
Before we go on our phones
No adults can know
How we’ve seen every scar
And depression become a trend
And we have to use the hashtag actuallyautistc
No adults will know
How there are video essays on anything
And we shouldn’t know about everyone that has been raped
Or murdered
And we shouldn’t have wikihow
On how to be attractive
It started as a joke,
How stupid is this thing I found?,
But we keep reading it
And we start to believe it
Why would we read books?
Technology is constantly advancing
Everything is irrelevant in months
And we must be careful not to be cancelled
And a dress can divide a nation
We don’t want to watch Gen Alpha
Leap so blindy into their screens
Trusting what they read,
We want to keep it for us,
We have to live with it,
And as much as they suck,
It is our fault for staying
And posting everything
We are a sad generation with happy pictures
And a face full of makeup
And we’re just perpetuating stereotypes
And you can’t like something unless you’re obsessed
We can know the cure for any medical condition
But there is no guide on how to destory our screens
And lives
And I know I’m fifteen
But this is ruining mine,
And so many others' lives.
We don’t want to see little kids
On their mums phones
And my mother defends it,
Saying mums just need a minute to breathe,
But please
Anything else
I don’t want to see a baby already addicted to CocoMelon
We don’t want to see
More people falling into a hole
And we know it’s why we’re sad
But nobody else should have to go through it,
That’s for us,
That’s an us problem
I saw a six year old
Using Drunk Elephant
And swearing in her GRWM
And none of that is fair,
How are we letting this slide?
But we can’t do anything
Because we don’t want to admit there’s a problem
We can learn anything about Hitler
And anything about Meryl Streep
And it can be within the same two fucking clicks
I remember
When my age on TikTok clocked over to 15
A few days before my actual birthday
And it was then
That all I saw was suicide notes,
And self harm scars
And how to hide things from your parents guides
And abuse stories
There was no going back,
Every other person whose a teenage girl on the app
Is probably met with the same things as me
The algorithm
Is designed to show you a positive video
Every few scrolls
Just to keep you hooked,
And it works,
It’s a science,
It works to a T
We can know where any friend is
And read receipts plague us
And anything will be screenshot
And used against you
School thought taking away our phones
Would fix this,
Like it’s a magical cure,
When all it’s teaching us
Is how addicted we are,
And how best to hide an earbud
And we need music to concentrate!
Or course we do,
We have constant stimulation
It is never quiet
There is always a voice talking
We are getting mad at kids for being on a phone
When we all know
We’re just mad that it is actually happening
And we can’t warn them
And no one will listen
Because how could it be that bad?
In ten years
People who grew up with technology
Are going to end up with something like PTSD
Because we can’t let go of it
We can’t put it down,
We can get an essay written for us in seconds,
And Dall-E can make anything for us
So of course we’ll talk to AI,
It’s better than talking to a real person
And acting like we’re okay,
We’d rather sit behind a screen
And control sims
And listen to music
So we can’t hear our minds
Every time I scroll through
I’m met with tales of girls who get killed by their fathers,
Every time I scroll through
I’m showen another 7 second video
With sad litte text
On sad little faces
We want to escape,
We want to tear our veins out,
Rip the wires,
Shove them back in to our body
After we re-wire our brains,
Of course,
Because we can diagnose ourselfs with any mental illness
That we see fit
Because there has to be something wrong with you
We will never go back,
It is impossible
We have Whispers from Pinterest
And sad purple quotes
Lining our camera roll
Which should highlight our happy moments
But is just videos of us crying
It has ruined relationships,
How dare we follow another guy,
How dare he like another girl's photo?
We have our music right there
We don’t have to learn lyrics,
We can play any instrument,
We must like Taylor Swift,
We must have Kanye West
Everything is a trend
And your clothes must match your aesthetic
And you have to be funny
Or smart
Or creative
And how dare we burn out?
How dare we burn out
When if we didn’t rot in our beds
Scrolling aimlessly
Would solve half our problems?
There is no fix now,
We have to watch them grow up
Knowing they’ll ask what this-big-word is
Before they’re even five
Because an ad came up on mummy’s phone
And “what’s a vape?”
And “am I fat?”
All we can do now
Is listen to our sad songs
And act like social media
Didn’t ruin our perceptions
On everything.

First year gang with a Chaotic Gen Z reader
Tumblr media
Holy shit-
reader just broke all the rules of heartslabyul.
in. front. of. riddle's. face..
Not gonna lie there, reader you're fucked up.
My boy was stupid enough but you just had to come here to absolutely destroy what was called 'peace'.
And turned this school INTO A FUCKING BLIZZERY
Every time you do dumb shit, his face is the definition of
"mom pick me up, I'm scared"
Please try not to tell riddle a your mom joke or this is going to be problematic- Aaaaannnnd you just did.
Why ?
Now he's hiding with you in a closet like in horror movies as riddle stomps around menacingly calling out for you like this :
Oh reader~ where are you ?
Well if you wished to die, today is the day my friend. And to be quite frank with you, getting murdered by riddle is the exact opposite of "He died peacefully in his sleep".
READER NO-
"HEY RIDDLE !! GUESS WHO I'M DOING TONIGHT ?!"
"YO MOMA-"
Tumblr media
I pity riddle at this point.
You two are the partners in crime of night raven college.
Dear god, the worst thing you've done by now is smash through the windows of NRC will holding grim like a fucking flamethrower and ace just throwing oil everywhere to send the school into an inferno of madness and chaos.
To make matters worse, Crowley had to rebuild the school 37 times. And none of y' all got expelled because being malleus's closest friend has advantages.
You know what I'm saying ?
DEEZ NUTS-
ha ha...yeaaah
Well if you wished to leave something for NRC once you go back to your world, I'm sure that the one thing your leaving them is fucking trauma and piles of taxes from each and every student.
You too are basically the Elmo meme. Just standing in front of a raging fire as you summon Satan from hell.
I may be exaggerating to destruction side of ace but that's just how it's gonna be...
And you're gonna deal with it.
Tumblr media
"how many times did Vil scold you ?"
Enough for him to receive a pimple the next morning.
You both will be the absolute death of the famous young actor Vil Schoenheit. (for those who have no idea whatsoever about the complicity of writing down that wretched last name you got another thing coming because I HAVE TO SEARCH IT UP ON GOOGLE AND COPY PASTE IT EVERY TIME HIS NAME NEEDS TO BE MENTIONED)
Moving on you are the perfect opportunity for epel to be himself and cause chaos amongst all dorms.
I'm hesitating on yes or not praying for your safety because at this point it will cause my death.
Stop slamming into people thinking it's funny, you are causing huge hospital bills for everyone and again with the jokes-
"YOUR MOM !"
YOUR DAD !"
"YOUR COUSIN !"
"YOUR SIBLING !"
You are literally having a battle while screaming random family members into each others face just to talk back and find a comeback. The room gets really silent once one of them says their grandpa is dead.
Tumblr media
I'm sorry I couldn't fit it all into one headcanon, there will be a second part so that jack and sebek are included.
I hope you enjoyed reading this !
