#gender affirming shapeshifting

Danny, upon realizing that ecto can be used to shape his body per how he perceives it, is very quick to invent a small handheld device that can manipulate that and turn it on others.
Then he opens up shop on the internet.
If someone puts in their info and name, and a place to meet them, he'll use his powers and tour the world to visit them.
And then use modified ecto to help them shapeshift their body to their desired gender.
That's right.
For the small price of like, whatever is in someone's pocket (gum, a weird penny, maybe a fastfood run on the way to the meet location), the hero Phantom is offering free transition shapeshifting. No surgery, no pain, no drugs.
Possible side effects include levitation, seeing the dead, hiccup(ing fire), speaking Ghostspeak, possible claws and fangs, glowing eyes, super strength, super speed, sonic blasts from mouth, pointed ears, electronic interference, and being hunted by a government entity.
All side effects except the claws, fangs, pointed ears, glowing eyes, and being hunted by a government entity will disappear after two weeks.
Everyone but Danny is surprised by how many Trans people find this a steal of a deal.
Hunted by the government? Pffffff. Just a fuckin Tuesday then.
Tim Drake-Wayne, Alysia Yeoh, and Cullen Row agree to meet up with this guy to see if he's legitimate. No other reason. No sir. Not at all.
(They all get their gender affirming Shapeshift and are very fucking pleased that there will be no more shots in the future for any of them)

oakworhy are sooooooo t4t trans guys to me im sorry but i cannot stay silent any longer. just think about it. Normal finding out Hermie wears his binder onstage & during musical numbers and being SHOCKED and UPSET and shows him the wonderful world of trans tape. Hermie as a little kid getting obsessed with and "method acting" as fictional boys to the point where he was insisting on getting he/himmed, and then finding a fictional girl he wanted to act as and but realizing that he still wanted to be a boy. Normal getting really into the idea of being a cheerleader and being absolutely thrilled to realize that boys are allowed to be cheerleaders too. transfem Sparrow having long talks about gender with her son and helping him come into his own, even if she's worried that he'll be made fun of for it. that one @apricior fic where Hermie helps Normal with his t shot. do you see my vision

mestric
a catch-all term for all orientations, attractions, partnerships or similar involving non-binarity; all those that cannot be categorised according to a same-gender vs. opposite gender dichotomy. it encompasses non-binary loving women, non-binary loving men, non-binary loving non-binary, men loving non-binary, women-loving non-binary and more specific identities too, such as androgyne loving men, women loving xenogender or maverique loving agender.
in short, it's an umbrella term for all orientations, attractions, partnerships and similar that aren't (exclusively) binary loving binary and thus don't fit neatly into the (binary) definitions of straight/hetero and gay/homo (of course non-binary people can still be gay or straight, but it's mestric and thus different from binary experiences of straightness and gayness).
mestric unites everyone who has their orientation/attraction/partnership erased and invalidated based on the idea that non-binary people don't exist or can be grouped in with binary genders. mestric is defiance against having to misgender our partners (and for non-binary people, ourselves), a demand to be taken seriously and have community. mestric is elevating our experiences to the same level as binary loving binary orientations. mestric is equality. mestric is affirming our partners' (and our own) genders while visibilising love, attraction, affection to and partnerships involving non-binary people and the specific experiences that come with that.
the name mestric was chosen based on a genderfluid shapeshifter from greek mythology named mestra.
Tumblr media
this is the mestric flag. the yellow stripes symbolise non-binarity and the sunflower represents joy.

Vamped Up
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
Content; brief mentions of blood, swearing, platonic relationships, vampirism, gender neutral, no pronouns
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
Loona didn't think she'd get lucky enough to meet an actual vampire.. And then she met you
She thinks you're so fucking cool. How could she not? She lives for these kinds of aesthetics
Granted, being a vampire doesn't mean you automatically have a goth aesthetic. Hear me out- strawberry cottage core vamps, norm core vamps, camp vamps, etc. I hope I've made my point
Loona is jealous of your ability to shapeshift- not only is it super convenient, its literally the most gender-affirming super power that exists
I would imagine Loona doesn't have a problem with blood. So of course, she has her.. Ways.. Of acquiring it for you, should you need it
It's very likely y'all spend your nights together, doing anything you want
Pranks. Oh my god, the capacity for pranks. That, of course, are almost always pulled on either Moxxie or Blitzø
Loona's least favorite part of vampirism is the fact she can't take pictures with her best friend. Instead, she unfortunately has to rely on Blitzø's "artistic" renditions of your moments together (they're expressive, okay?)
As much as it seems like Loona doesn't care about anything, when it comes to her friends and family, details are very important. That means any aversions to food, or items of clothing you need to protect yourself from sunlight are always taken into consideration
At this point, her trivia knowledge about you (and vampirism in general) is quite extensive
Regardless of the type of relationship you have (unless she sees you like a sibling), Loona finds your fangs very attractive. Listen, listen. Fangs. I will not elaborate. She'll hype you the fuck up, too
The two of you have heightened senses so literally nothing gets by you. So Blitzø has a hard time stalking y'all. Whoops

I love the "affirm the gender of a slug" joke in your last comic, because it both functions as a normal joke and also a basilisk joke (since they can shapeshift for gender purposes). 10/10 top tier Boiling Isles comedy
HEHEHHE that joke is actually my mutual’s doing!!!

yk i really appreciate ping janus not being trans. its kind of refreshing to have a shapeshifting character that isnt the default trans/genderfluid/etc. character if that makes sense?
i mean i totally get why people do it, as a trans person of the multigender flavor i would love to be able to shapeshift. but also i really love when theres cis people that fuck with their gender expression but are still cis. ppl dont write it a lot and its a neat thing to explore. its just a cool way to show that gender isnt as clear cut and separated as we try to make it.
(also side note i think ping remus & janus would really enjoy the salmacian community)
oh my GOODNESS thank you so much! yes yes exactly, i think cis people should get to mess around with their gender too! its equality!!! gnc cis people are my brothers and sisters and i adore them Cis+ for the win
i wont go into too much of a rant about informed consent and gender-affirming surgeries for both cis and trans people and how everybody should be able to do whatever the hell they want with their meat because who the fuck cares because i will be here ALL day but yes yes you get it. if a cis person wants to have bottom surgery (or in janus's case wear a bottom surgery for a day) and is still cis i say FUCK YES boo

question about sealskins: how do trans shapeshifters work? do their bodies know they're trans before they do and shift that way automatically? could they consciously shift their natural state when they realize their gender identity? or does it take gender affirming surgeries to 'reset' their natural state?
you got ahead of me-- Leo Harp is trans! the fun selkie-themed name isn't an alias, it's his chosen name.
there are two answers to this general line of thought!
in practice, most trans shapeshifters use conscious shapeshifting to transition, and do some mild "touchup" shifting once a week or so. it's roughly the same effort as remembering to take a T shot, without the need to involve a doctor.
it's remarkably easy shapeshifting and can usually be accomplished before a kid is old enough for a full copy-- most commonly gendered body parts like genitals are formed from early development tissue that is found in every viable fetus (shoutout to my old pal the mesonephric duct) that is then changed from being exposed to hormones, so you don't have to "borrow" anything from another person. you already have the genetic coding for the basis! physical sex is much less intrinsic and binary than society treats it so it's super easy for shapeshifters to mess with.
in THEORY, though, if you wanted to change your baseline form so that you didn't have to keep up the shapeshifting, you can change your "natural" state with surgery or medication. it's just a lot harder than having a bowl of spaghetti to carboload and making some changes.

🌈 Pride fantasy prompts
Pride writing ideas no. 1
(Little to no angst or whump here, I wanted to focus on happier stories this time around.)
Mages use transformation spells as a magical method of gender-affirming surgery. One mage who specializes in such magic travels across the land, helping anyone from tiny fairies to gigantic dragons be their true selves. Nothing brings them more joy than giving their client a mirror after the spell is done and watching their face light up. And when someone needs that spell, the mage will find a way to do it, no matter who or what they have to challenge in order to do so.
Asexual succubi and incubi find non-sexual ways to seduce their targets. A character hears a noise in the middle of the night and goes to the kitchen to find a demon-like creature baking them a cake that reads, "Come to the darkest pits of the underworld, please? 🥺" With the layers upon layers of chocolate fudge, how could anyone resist?
A gay mage learns a teleportation spell to bring their crush on a date without anyone else seeing, because they are worried about what people will think. However, the spell backfires and ends up teleporting them to the wrong place. As they work together to find their way home, the two overcome challenges for each other and realize that their love really does conquer all.
A trans character finds out that they're trans by accessing some sort of magic that only another gender is supposed to be able to access. For example, a transfem sailor thinks she's a cis guy until she is the only one on the ship who can see an island that is magically hidden from everyone except women. She had always felt a bit "off" but kind of pushed it to the side, attributing it to literally anything except being trans. The island beckons to her and confirms the feelings she had ignored for years. (I thought there was an island like that in the Odyssey but I can't find anything about it so I may be wrong.)
When a gay couple adopts a child, they weren't expecting to bring home a dragon egg. But, that won't stop them from being the best adoptive parents anyone could have. They spend nights deep in the library, set on learning everything they need to raise their dragon child. (Or, alternatively, a dragon couple ends up adopting a human or otherwise non-dragon child.)
Due to their association with rainbows, magic, and self-expression, unicorn derbies become widely celebrated events during pride festivals. A particularly clever unicorn escapes right before the derby, and magical shenanigans ensue.
While others their age are asking their crushes to dances and peeking at raunchy magazines, an aroace teen is busy training swordfighting with a dragon that they keep hidden a little bit away from their house. Their parents find some evidence of their teen sneaking out and assume it's with some romantic partner. When their teen reluctantly agrees to introduce them, they weren't expecting to come face to face with a gigantic reptile. They said they wanted their teen to be with whoever makes them happy... But this is awkward.
Immortal characters who've been around for centuries don't necessarily understand the newer labels and identities, but they're excited that their children are able to express themselves in ways they weren't able to a few hundred years ago. They do their best to support their kid's identity... Possibly to the point of embarrassing their kid with their enthusiasm. They mean well though.
A genderfluid character who can shapeshift uses their ability to transition on the spot whenever and however they feel like it. They kind of take this ability for granted, until their non-shapeshifter friend wants to transition and can't just do so by snapping their fingers. This shapeshifter does their best to help their friend find clothes and hairstyles that might have the same effect. They end up having to be a bit creative with what they have, but it's a lot more fun than either expected.
To represent the strength of their relationship, a gay swordsmith forges a sword as a surprise present (or proposal, like a ring but cooler) for their beloved. They decide to gather gemstones from the place they first met (or some other place that is significant to them), but getting the gemstone proves to be a difficult quest. They end up asking for their partner's help, all while keeping it a secret why they need it. When they finally get the gemstone and forge the sword, the colorful pieces in the hilt tell a story of their journey together.
Elves and other androgynous creatures completely demolish outdated standards of what each gender is "supposed to" look like. Some people are frustrated with how hard it is to assume an elf's gender, but lots of trans and nonbinary people are inspired by the magical genderfuckery. (I know I am, lol. Legolas was my first gender envy.)
(Feel free to add on!)

I would love to take a class where the textbook is "the future is female: 25 classic science fiction stories by women, from pulp pioneers to ursula k le guin" edited by lisa yaszek, and you just read a story every week and discuss it. they're arranged in chronological order from 1928 to 1969 and are obviously picked not only to demonstrate each author's style but to reflect social attitudes of the era. there would really be a lot to talk about in an academic setting. but even if I can't teach that class I recommend giving it a read if you're interested in old scifi. these were the standout stories to me but you may have different faves when you read it
"the black god's kiss" cl moore, 1934. a female knight travels through a portal to a land she considers to be hell in order to find a weapon capable of defeating the man who conquered her. this is the one I posted saying "it's just like the alien from alien." the imagery is so vivid and engrossing that i can't believe it was written 90 years ago
"all the colors of the rainbow" leigh brackett, 1957. an alien husband and wife on a diplomatic mission to earth find that sundown towns don't appreciate aliens much either. liberal use of the n word in this one bc the characters are extremely racist but I found it to be a very unique example of sf/fantasy discrimination metaphors. I'd love to discuss this one in a class bc I kind of feel like it's not a white woman's story to write but I also don't think a black woman would have gotten it published in 1957? definitely an interesting one
"pelt" carol emshwiller, 1958. a hunting dog brought by her master to an alien planet to hunt exotic furs finds that the native species can communicate with her but not her master and becomes torn. since you're in the dog's point of view you never get the full picture of what happens but it's very melancholy
"car pool" rosel george brown, 1959. it's truly just like an episode of a sitcom where a group of women who run a hovercarpool for their kids let a three armed alien kid in and things go awry. the standout is the relationship between the protagonist and a rival mom who she envies bc the rival mom can pull off wearing a real boudoir slip
"another rib" john jay wells & marion zimmer bradley, 1963. stranded male exocolonists accept an experimental procedure from an alien friend that will allow them to give birth and further the human race despite their captain's intense homophobia and transphobia. interesting in its portrayal of gender and srs bc the alien brings up the fact that humans have already accomplished gender-affirming surgeries but there's also never any implication that the men will become women. they just become men capable of giving birth. however I learned from this anthology that ms bradley enabled child sexual abuse so fuck her
"when I was miss dow" sonya dorman, 1966. a shapeshifting alien from a masculine mono-gender race is made to take the form of a human woman to learn more about human settlers and resents it at first but is fundamentally changed by the experience. made me want to cry a little
"nine lives" ursula k le guin, 1969. two guys who are getting sick and tired of each other after a long mining expedition on a faraway planet are joined by ten sexy and beautiful 20somethings who are all clones of the same guy. the clones can act in unison but also keep each other company. this could be the future of the human race... or not

I hope this isn't too inappropriate a question, but I was wondering if you have any advice when it comes to binders? Like, I know a lot of the minutia, but are there any companies you recommend that make good ones? I'm new to the whole actually-doing-it part and I've found conflicting stuff so I though it was better to ask someone who went through that whole thing already. Tbh I don't know anything about your transition and you might not have even did much of that but you're like the main transguy I know
No worries at all!! I'm really comfortable talking about trans stuff and what I've had to do to get where I am, so if you have any other questions please don't hesitate to toss 'em my way and I'll do my best to help out. The only major trans stuff I haven't done yet are any surgeries and changing my name/legal gender marker (pain in the ass to do in Ohio....).
I got kinda lucky and don't really have much boob tissue going on so I don't bind very often, but I do have two GC2B binders: a full tank and a half one. The full one is a lot more comfortable, imo, because I can tuck it into my pants and it kinda like smooths my entire situation out instead of squishing just my upper body and chafing under my ribcage lol. Unfortunately, GC2B's binder quality has dropped BAD in the last 5 years or so. If you can get one for free or dirt cheap then it might be worth it, but otherwise I'd avoid them.
One of my other trans masc buddies has some binders from Underworks that he really likes. He used to have one of the GC2B ones and it got a huge hole right in the middle of it after less than a year... As far as I know, his Underworks ones are still holding up and it's been over two years now. He did say that they were pretty stiff when they first came in and that washing them with just a tiny bit of fabric softener helped. Be careful using too much fabric softener on them though or they'll loosen up maybe too far. Here's their site: https://www.underworks.com/tri-top-chest-binder
I've seen people say Shapeshifter's binders are good too, though I don't personally know anyone who has one by them. They're a lot more expensive than the Underworks binders.... Here's their site: https://shapeshifters.co/
Make sure you read the sizing charts!!! The very first binder I ever bought was WAAAAYYYYY too small because I didn't read the chart very well... I've found that following the chart and then going up one or two sizes fits the best, depending on how big your chest is/how much compression you'll need.
Here's a big spreadsheet document of a lot of other trans resources with comments on specific things for each site too, like where they're based, shipping details (if the packaging is discrete or not, etc), if they're a charity, and so on. There are other binder websites listed and sites for other gender affirming clothing and packers and stuff too: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1lSKoxVant40alYL-MZAP9QekUxjl3mH2EB3MidSk0b8/edit#gid=0
There's also this post with even more resources, but it might be a bit overwhelming going through it all right now haha Including it anyway just in case: https://solradguy.tumblr.com/post/719033735814742016
Good luck!! I hope you're able to find one that both fits and is comfortable to wear for long periods ^^

A very heartbreaking story about ShapeShifter, a detrans gay men who regrets his bottom surgery and talks about his tragic experience/aftermath. I feel so sorry for what the medical field did to Shape. I hope that his experience will share a light on the horrible state of gender affirming care in the USA as well as the trans socialisation.

Your OCs stumble upon an unmarked vial in their pocket one day. It's full of swirling purple liquid, a magical potion of some kind, but they don't know what it does. Unbeknownst to them, drinking the potion will instantly transform them into their ideal physical appearance (instant painless gender-affirming care, a healthy end to any body dysmorphia or chronic pain/fatigue, hell someone could be a fucking dragon if that's how they ideally view themself). Note that it transforms them into their ideal self, not society's expectations of them - if they're completely happy with who they are, the potion does nothing.
Who takes the risk? Who tries to figure out what the potion is before drinking it? Who doesn't drink it at all?
Siv: After getting it identified through her network of contacts, she takes the potion. What it does is lighten all her scars from being captured by Director Hawke, heal up the permanent damage from her inital fight with Eobard, and make her a few inches taller.
Jay: Hands it to Cassandra to identify, since he's pretty sure it's magic. It gives him instant gender affirmation, and heals the nerve damage in his legs and body.
Hailey: Gets it identified via Cassandra, then decides to take it. What it does is restore her physical body and mortality while allowing her to retain the powers that being dead gave her.
Cassandra: Before her arm was forcibly removed to save her own life? She thinks she's hot stuff. She doesn't need it. After it, however, she'd take it, to restore the skills she had to relearn and the dexterity she lost with her arm.
Arya: Is a shapeshifter, so they don't need it. Instead, they slip it into their coworker's coffee, whom they know is a furry. Have fun being a 7-foot-tall husky with G cups, sir.
Esme: Assumes it's alcohol, drinks it, and immediately is cured of her body dysmorphia, alcoholism, and the damage that the use of drugs and alcohol has had on her body.
Gina: Assumes that someone tried to slip her drugs, so she throws it out.
Ember: Decides to take it, since they assume it's just a little gift from the bartender at their club. Ember gets a more androgynous body, and some of the more visible signs of his age fade a bit.
Cat: Gets it identified online by some witches on the dark web, but chooses not to consume it. She's pretty happy with her body, so instead she sells it online to the highest bidder.
Max: Doesn't touch it. He assumes it's poison or drugs or something.
Kyle: Gets it identified, and chooses not to take it. He's pretty happy with his body.
Eric: Identifies the potion almost immediately, and takes it. It gives him instant gender-affirming care, and also gives him back his natural black hair rather than the silvery-white that it turned after overusing his magic.
Jacob: Identifies the potion almost instantly. He's pretty happy with his body, so he doesn't take it.
Khalil: Identifies the potion with just a glance, and doesn't take it. He's happy with his appearance.
Antonio: Immediately recognizes it as a potion. He drinks it, and it instantly cures him of his diabetes, makes his voice finally drop all the way instead of cracking constantly, and clears his acne.
Rania: Identifies the potion using the power of science, and chooses to take it as an experiment. All it does is slight fade the effects of aging on her, and remove some scars from science experiments that quite literally blew up in her face.
Ameerah: Gets it identified, and chooses to take it. The only thing that changes is that her hair becomes a slightly darker shade than her natural blonde, because she's honestly pretty sick of people seeing her with blonde textured hair and fair skin and instantly asking her if she has albinism (she does not, she's just biracial, and she's sick of the question)
Reggie: Recognizes the potion since xe and xer entire mom's side of the family are witches, and she takes it. It gives xem a more androgynous body, closer to how xe sees xemself in xer head, and changes the shape of her vitiligo marks to be little hearts and stars because xe's like that.
Meredith: Researches and tests the potion out first, then chooses to take it. It fixes her bad vision, and while it doesn't fix her deafness, since Meredith is pretty okay with being deaf, it does give her the ability to read lips perfectly.
Director Hawke: Doesn't take it, since she thinks she's major hot stuff (I mean, she's not wrong tho, we love ourselves an evil MILF)
Kelsie: Takes the potion, which gives her instant gender affirmation, and also fixes her damaged hair and that one tooth she broke running on the pool deck when she was 10.
Cory: Takes the potion without even checking what it is, and becomes quite literally the "fuck yeah" dragon from the meme.
Torryn: Once he identifies the potion, he takes it. It instantaneously gives them a more androgynous body, and also changes their singular glowing blue eye to a softer, more natural blue, so it just looks like normal heterochromia rather than magic, that way he no longer has to wear an eyepatch in public.
Onnie: Once she has it identified, they choose to take it, believing that it will make them even more powerful and godlike. Instead, it completely cuts them off from the Negative Speed Force, giving her the body of a normal human. This, obviously, is something that she really needs to work through.
Pippa: It's taken a lot of work for her to love herself in her body, but she chooses to take it anyway. Surprisingly, it doesn't change anything about her, except for the fact that it softens the way that she sees herself in the mirror, so she feels less insecure.
Jessi: It turns her into an absolute sex symbol. She was already incredibly hot, but it just alters her enough so she perfectly fits the beauty standards. Have fun in 10 years when said beauty standards change, Jessi.
Hyun-Ki: Doesn't take the potion. He's happy as he is.
Liah: Despite her expecting that the potion will make her appear less intimidating, since that's her biggest insecurity, it actually makes her slightly taller and more muscular, since she actually really likes the way she looks, it's more other peoples' reactions that she dislikes.
Marie: After analyzing the potion in her lab, she chooses to take it. To her surprise, it doesn't really change her appearance much at all, despite her various insecurities, which mostly come from other people instead of herself. All it does is slightly change the shapes of her cybernetics, so they're more artistic than utilitarian.
Qiara: Decides to take it as an experiment, despite the fact that she could take whatever form she chose to. The potion removes the weakness and chronic fatigue and pain that come with use of her powers, so she doesn't have to constantly choose between helping people and not feeling like shit.
Soraya: Doesn't take the potion. She's happy as she is.
Thalia: She takes the potion, since she has very little care for her own well-being, and it reverses the damage from when she was captured and experimented on both times, along with giving her a slightly higher muscle mass.
Reyna: She identifies the potion in her lab, and when she takes the potion, it erases the scars she got from being abused by her stepmother, and makes the blue streaks she dyes in her hair as part of her "Reyna Blazestar" persona permanent.
Laila: Alters her appearance just enough so she no longer looks like a perfect match to the Jedi she was cloned from, but not so much that she's unrecognizable. Now, the expectations placed on her won't weigh as heavy, since she no longer looks exactly like her donor.
Athena: After identifying the potion, she takes it, thinking it'll make her even more beautiful than she already is. Instead, it just takes away her body dysmorphia, so she can actually see the woman who she is in the mirror rather than the stringy-haired street urchin she used to be.
Pyrrha: The potion gives her natural body back, before the alterations that Nyx ordered. The etchings on her metal limbs remain in the form of tattoos, since she's super proud of them and would be sad to see them go.
Samira: After finding out what the potion does, she chooses to take it. It reverses the damage that being trapped in a basement under a madman's vineyard for 10+ years would do to a person.
Aldrich: After having Samira analyze it in her lab, he takes it, and it returns him back to a human, mortal form.
Sohelia: Takes the potion. Nothing happens. It turns out, her ideal body is the one she has right at the moment, despite what others might say.
Vanessa: Rather than returning her to the body that she had before being transformed into a monster, it instead makes her not-quite-human features less noticeable, like fading the exoskeleton on her body to almost her normal skintone, and making her sharp, jagged teeth look more like Sohelia's (almost human with slightly sharper canines)
Matt: After having it analyzed, he chooses to take it. It instantly heals his joint problems, and fixes up his nose, which was permanently crooked after a bad encounter with Sohelia and some bears.
Dolores: The potion returns her to her human form, and makes the ombre effect she dyes into her hair permanent.
Victorie: She takes the potion, since she's already dead anyway, what is it going to do? Kill her? But rather than giving her human form back, it leaves her as an immortal vampire, but removes her need to consume blood to survive.
Kayla: Once she knows what the potion is, she decides to take it. It restores her appearance to before she was kidnapped by HYDRA and forced to become their operative, though she retains the sick mullet that they gave her since she actually really liked that style.
Dori: Once they know what it is, they choose to give it to someone who needs it more than them. After all, they can shapeshift into any form they'd like.
Ellis: They're not really sure if it'll work on angels, but it's worth a shot. Rather than return them to their pre-fall appearance, it gives them a human form, which looks vaguely like their angelic form, just more human, so they can be around the people they love without having to be in disguise.
Gabi: Once Ellis identifies the potion, she takes it. It gives her instant gender-affirming care, and also fixes her heavily damaged curl pattern.
