Good sportsmanship: Oklahoma Little League player consoles pitcher that hit him in head during LLWS qualifier in Texas
During Tuesday's Little League Southwest Region championship, there was a scary moment between teams hailing from Pearland, Texas and Tulsa, Okla. In the first inning, Texas East pitcher Kaiden Shelton had a pitch get away from him and strike Tulsa's Isaiah Jarvis in the head.
Luckily for Jarvis, the ball struck him in the helmet, so he was able to remain in the game.
After making his way to first base, Jarvis went over to Shelton on the mound in an effort to console the pitcher, who was visibly shaken by the incident. Jarvis gave Shelton a hug and could be heard saying "Hey, you're doing just great."

I've just realised why I love Kotallo so much, especially when his character is further explored in fics (yes I am looking directly at you @pikapeppa ) . He's Gomez fucking Adams.

these memes can be funny but sometimes we seem to forget that stuff like this is really good for mental health--and fyi this is exactly the kind of thing a good therapist would tell someone to do!
hobbies like this can be incredibly effective interventions, especially for therapy-resistant populations! men who have been socialized into seeing therapy as an ego threat are a prime example of this
i yearn for a world full of feminist mens' work and ubiquitous, available, anti-patriarchal, stigma-free mental health services. but in the meantime, dudes getting into gentle hobbies is pretty cool

~ Batman (2016)
Whoever made the choice to have Bruce said "my son" instead of "my sonS" should be fired immediately. No way would he not refer to, at least, Dick as his son too. Jason is literally his first son, he was Bruce's son 30 years before Damian existed. It was made very clear in Injustice that Damian being biological doesn't make him more of a son to Bruce than the others.

Turtle Tots
Leo drinks tea in the show in several episodes and I choose the believe that is not something he picked up in his teens.
And Mikey would love a chance to bake cookies ( with Dad’s help).
Evert tea party is better with miss matched tea cups.

Re-listened to the whole first season yesterday (because I’m chill and normal about my interests) and wow is Phineas the perfect example of how toxic masculinity completely changes a person.
In his introduction, Phineas does exactly what he needs to in order to get the job done. He doesn’t use excessive force, and is able to solve the problem without anyone getting hurt. In any other world, this would be impressive.
Spahr is proud of him, but reminds him to play it up more for the media. Okay, noted, he’ll do better next time. He did exactly what was asked of him, just not in a manner that makes The Trust sound badass and cool to the kids listening back home.
He doesn’t break even — sucks, but no time to be sad about it! Here’s Backpack with her microphone! Look on the goddamn bright side, Phineas!! He still feels his feelings, but does way more than he should to cover them up around other people.
The gala goes well for him, a much needed confidence boost; he takes pride in not accepting handouts. But he doesn’t just say “no thank you,” like episode 3 Phineas might have, he’s offended that Mr. Loxlee expected he would want his help. That would make him weak. Mr. Loxlee clearly just doesn’t get it. This righteous reaction to turning Mr. Loxlee down says more than I realized at first about The Trust’s propaganda that Phin’s been consuming literally since childhood.
Then Spahr basically tells him to stop having social anxiety. Phineas has been feeling so many emotions, asking himself so many questions, trying to put on the Starship Troopers G.I. Joe face this entire time — looking for the answer. Looking for a guiding light to tell him how to be who he’s been told he’s supposed to be. And what answer does Jonas Spahr give to sweet, mild-mannered Phineas Thatch?
Don’t show weakness.
Or else he’s out. Last warning. Is it really that surprising Phineas lashed out against Sherman the way he did?
Spahr is certainly surprised — woah, this is not what he meant. But regardless of his intentions, this is what he fostered. This ruthlessness. This cruelty. This Adsecla who Phineas never would’ve seen himself as back in episode three. “An impulsive fucking idiot.”
“Phineas sees Jonas Spahr. But Jonas Spahr does not see Phineas.”
In more ways than one.
And after finally doing as he was told (to the best of his understanding), Phineas’ mentor, his hero abandons him. He didn’t want to, he never meant for it to go this far. But Phin doesn’t know that.
And now here he is, chewed up and spat out by the system he was born into. After following all the rules, he has become one of the indebted former trustees he was tasked to hunt, with no hope of ever getting back to where he was — let alone breaking even.
This is what propaganda does. This is what toxic masculinity does. This is what a cult does. And it doesn’t happen in a way you can easily see, it slowly simmers until it boils over into something unrecognizably sharp.
Oh, Phineas. I’m rooting for you, buddy.

I am not one for sharing controversial opinions on anything that's important or trying to stir up a problem so if y'all get nasty I will delete and block and all that stuff.
That out of the way
People are absolutely allowed to ship whatever they want to ship. That is not the problem here. You wanna ship Bagginshield like they bang eight times a day... Knock yourself out. Or Gigolas like all they did was make out in Lorien or heck if you ship Sauron and Luthien go forth write your fanfics, make your fanart, let your ship flag fly!
It's the people who insist canon characters are together that aren't that bother me. I'm specifically thinking of ships like MerryxPippin or FrodoxSam or GimlixLegolas because here's the thing.
If you say guys can't say they love each other without it being sexual. You're promoting Toxic Masculinity
If you say guys can't cry in general or over each other specifically. You're promoting Toxic Masculinity
If you say guys can't be physically affectionate with each other, guess what? You're promoting Toxic Masculinity big time with this one actually
If you say people can't have a deep abiding lifelong commitment to each other without it being a romantic thing. Not only are you discrediting the asexual/aromantic experience you're also at risk of promoting Toxic Masculinity
So ship your funky ships but be very careful what you start insisting is canon based on that kind of toxic masculinity mindset that men can't be physically affectionate with each other, cry, and be willing to die for each other or spend their whole life in companionship with another dude without it being "gay". We're not middle school boys and it's about time we stopped propagating these post-wwii ideals of what is "appropriate" behavior for men because it's very clear from his writing that Tolkien's views were shaped in a world before the gung-ho emotionally absent John Wayne type became the paragon of what masculinity was supposed to be. Also he traveled and if you look outside Anglo cultures you will find A LOT of cultures with nonsexual affection shown between men. And that's GOOD as humans physical touch is an important part of our health and when it's sexualized you end up with a lot of weird views on touch and this whole mess *gestures to America and its distortions of appropriate physical affection*
So please think about what viewpoints you're promoting when you insist things are canon because X or Y. Again absolutely ship whatever you want just maybe don't act like it's a fact if the evidence you're using is from the skewed post-war views of masculinity that permeate our society
*climbs down off of soap box*

Oh boy here we go confession time. Being trans has really fucked up my personality. Let me explain, when I was super dysphoric I would hyper focus on everything I was doing to be toxically masculine. Yes that even means being a bit of a jerk. The sad thing is it honest to god helped me pass. Now that I’ve received gender affirming care all of that dysphoria has calmed down and now all I’m left with is bad habits. I want to be a nice guy for everyone around me and for myself.

Okay so Billy’s breeding kink is HOT
But do you think he’d lowkey be afraid to be a dad bc of his father? Or want to be one out of spite??? - 🧍🏽‍♀️
AGREED MY DEAR I AM JUST STANDING HERE ANON!!! IT IS VERY HOT!!!!
I feel like his breeding kink is much more hypothetical at first yk,, like his junk is like KNOCK THEM UP but his brain is like BUT DON'T ACTUALLY DO IT THOUGH OKAY?? like he definitley did not want kids for the longest time bc he realized what a huge responsibility it actually is, how easy it is to fuck them up and how important it is not to
but as time goes on and his relationship with max gets better (and it gets like way better than either of them ever imagined it could be) and he's there for her while she's growing up and for all the important stuff he realizes wow I'm actually fully capable of being a good influence on younger people???? and the more he falls in love with you he finds himself actually really wanting a little baby
whether it's planned or not, once that ball gets rolling he is so on top of his shit and so fucking determined to be a good dad and betwee max and the baby, now that he's in the role of adult/parent figure, he can't possibly fathom not being there for either of them!!!!! much less being shitty towards them!!!! it really drives home exactly how astronomically shitty neil was by how easy it is to love and care for the kiddos in his life
and yeah it still takes a lot of hard work to make sure he's doing his best to take care of them but it's so so worth it!!! plus the fact that he and max have such a great relationship now makes him also kind of realize that hey, if he does make some mistakes as most parents inevitabley do, it's nothing that can't be overcome with care and communication and love so either way everything's going to work out just fine
then once all that does click,,,, oh BOY get ready bc he wants a big ass family!!!! you'll have a gaggle of rambuctious little boys running around and wrestling and playing superheroes like aunt El and watching scooby doo!!!!! and aunt max teaching them how to skateboard!?!?!??!??!?!?!? billy strikes me as the type to have like a million boys and one girl so get ready for that lmao

To hell with StoneToss, though I am assuming that the correct stone has been tossed.
Assuming that the correct scoundrel has been identified, please keep the following in mind as we revel in his outing:
1) Refrain from insults about his physical appearance; he may or may not read those insults, but plenty of good folks with such physical traits will be hurt.
StoneToss is despicable because of his hateful propaganda, not because of his physical appearance.
2) Refrain from jokes mocking straight male virgins or scapegoating straight male virgins. Misogyny is the problem, not being a straight male virgin, and certainly not being a straight male virgin who has had bad luck finding dates.
3) Refrain from penis jokes and circumcision jokes. This invalidates and trivialises the various issues that affect folks who have a penis or had penile circumcision.
As far as I can see, the only joke or critique that should be made regarding StoneToss' (admittedly oddly worded) vent about his circumcision (assuming that the correct person has been outed) is that The Jews™ had nothing to do with his circumcision.
The popularisation of circumcision among white gentile Americans was a Christian phenomena rooted in puritanical anxiety about youth sexuality.
