Somehow, after the war with Atlantis, the JL (a mix of the animated Universe and my hc), but just the other six founder members and Arthur, found out that Capitain Marvel is a recently adopted eleven years old pre-teen and no one tell anything to the new members.

My Team Arrow members ranking from worst to best

10. Evelyn Sharp / Artemis

Worst: Evelyn was introduced as a potential protege but quickly turned into a traitor, aligning with Prometheus. Her betrayal and lack of screen time after Season 5 make her the least impactful member. Evelyn's lack of any substantial character development makes her one the worst Arrowverse characters in the entire franchise

9. Rene Ramirez / Wild Dog

Rene starts off as a rough-around-the-edges vigilante with potential but is often more of a liability due to his impulsive nature. His personal drama with child custody issues also diverts focus from team missions. Rene is annoying and his actor never gave a good performance.

8. Curtis Holt / Mr. Terrific

Curtis has moments of brilliance with his tech expertise, but his character often feels underused compared to his comic book counterpart. His initial lack of combat readiness and later personal life distractions impact his ranking. Curtis was the show's first openly gay character and while this was a good step for representation, when Curtis was killed off, nothing changed.

7. Dinah Drake / Black Canary

Dinah steps into large shoes left by Laurel Lance. While she brings her own skills, particularly her sonic scream, her integration into the team sometimes feels forced, and her storylines are not as compelling.

6. Roy Harper / Arsenal

Roy had some great moments, especially in season two. However, his character development peaks early, and his exits and returns from the show somewhat diminish his overall impact.

5. Thea Queen / Speedy

Thea's journey from a troubled, party-girl sister to a capable vigilante is one of the show's highlights. Her character growth, relationship with Oliver, and eventual departure for her own path give her a solid mid-tier ranking.

4. John Diggle / Spartan

Diggle is the heart of Team Arrow. His loyalty to Oliver, his military background, and his eventual role as a leader when Oliver is unavailable make him indispensable. His family life adds depth, though it sometimes overshadows his vigilante activities.

3. Felicity Smoak / Overwatch

Felicity's tech genius, her evolution from IT girl to a key strategist, and her complex relationship with Oliver are central to the series. Her character brings both humor and heart, though her storylines have been criticized for focusing too much on romance at times.

2. Laurel Lance / Black Canary (Earth-1)

Laurel's transformation from a lawyer to Black Canary is one of the show's best arcs. Her death was a controversial yet pivotal moment for the series, and her return as Black Siren from Earth-2 added layers to her character, though this ranking considers her Earth-1 version.

Green Arrow, Hawkeye, the Peter Jackson version of Legolas, many versions of Robin Hood… All are known for being legendary archers, no, more than that, utterly superhuman in their skill with a bow. From archery techniques that look good on film but are poor practice in real life to truly impossible shots, there’s a lot to be said about the unrealistic but nevertheless awesome-looking feats that these archers get up to.

Love them or hate them, such incredible skill in archery is the basis for today’s archetype, the archer fighter!

As the name implies, these warriors specialize in the bow, and are so skilled as to perform some incredible shots with them.

By stereotype alone, it’s often rare to see ranged-focused fighters, with bows seemingly more regulated to rangers, hunters, or other classes that don’t automatically get better armor, but the base fighter alone gets so many combat bonus feats that they can be among the best archers in the game, and this archetype only makes them better, giving them more to do with a bow and arrow than just dealing damage each round.

As ranged experts, these archers are skilled at noticing distant targets, as well as compensating for distance and wind to strike from further away without a loss in accuracy.

An archer’s precision with their arrows is so great that they can learn to perform various combat maneuvers from a distance, such as targeting an object to knock it out of a foe’s hand or damage it, fire a distracting shot that barely misses to feint foes, or later on, they can deliver shot to send a foe stumbling back, pin their clothes to nearby surfaces to “grapple” them, or shoot their leg out from under them to trip them.

Naturally, their ability to aim and deal damage with a bow only grows stronger as they master it.

They also learn to keep their wits about them and strike when the opportunity arises, preventing foes from striking while they aim their shots.

Fighting from range means often being fought back at range, and these warriors use their keen eyes and understanding of trajectory to dodge incoming fire.

Some of the most powerful of these archers can unleash a hail of arrows in a cluster, like a one-person volley, raining down arrows with surprising accuracy against multiple targets.

Near their zenith, their reflexes against ranged attacks grows so great that even those that strike home only graze them. What’s more, they can even catch incoming arrows and bolts out of the air.

The most powerful of them, naturally, pick a bow of some kind as their subject of their weapon mastery, becoming true legends with such a weapon.

This archetype is a perfect example of what a lot of fighter archetypes, especially their early archetypes are: specializing in a particular combat style even more so than they already can being a fighter. Being able to perform combat maneuvers at a distance allows them to inhibit foes in addition to just damaging, making them better at supporting melee characters in the party while also not having to worry about the initial drawback of reprisal in the form of attacks of opportunity if they lack the proper feat (though said feats are useful for making you better at said maneuvers.

Speaking of feats, there’s a surprising amount of variety in archery-themed feats, allowing some variance with the builds. From the overwatch style letting you punish multiple foes for their actions, to clustered shots letting you hammer past the DR of foes, to empty quiver style letting you be mixed ranged and melee without ever switching away from your bow. Additionally, though the nonmagical alchemical arrows are a somewhat lackluster option at higher levels, especially for their price tag, specific magical arrows can go a long way towards the “archer superhero gadget arrow” vibe if that’s what you’re going for.

Being such a skilled archer can have so many origins stories, from a talented and skilled soldier to a hunter to a performer perfecting their prowess for the spotlight to even those that use archery as a meditative martial art. No matter their origin, all can agree that awareness and focus are the roots of their profession.

Local sulfur deposits in the kingdom of Brakiss have given rise to the invention and popularization of firearms. Local archers have had to up their game, honing their skill with the bow to uncanny levels to compete with the new technology. When a pro-firearm noble turns up dead with an arrow in his back, the race is on to hunt down these expert snipers, or to prove their innocence.

Castle Tormaigg has been long abandoned, but it remains as it was in its heyday, a masterfully constructed fortress. A kobold tribe has moved in, and is currently renovating the interior into a gallery of deathtraps, guarded by expert kobold marksmen perched atop the parapets.

The race for martial superiority between warring nations is an endless one. The magic-rejecting Flightviper lizardfolk clan, known for their skills with archery seek the secret of their elven neighbors arcane archer death arrows to add to their already impressive mastery of the bow. The question is not whether they will be able to overcome their superstitions of arcane magic, but rather, what havoc could they create with this newfound power if they do.

Egotober Day 31: Happy Halloween

You’ve heard so many stories this month, some spooky, some cute, some scary, some moreso moments in their lives. But on this night of All Hallow’s Eve, Samhain, Halloween instead of telling a story….let’s see instead how those that the stories were about celebrate this night.

The first home we’ll visit in the Septic home, it’s a few stories and more like a bunch of apartments fused together in one building with help from Marvin’s magic. They didn’t go completely all crazy with decorating, oh they love the holiday but a certain glitch has made them all wary about a few aspects of it. Still, there’s paper jack o lanterns hanging up, a candy bowl out for trick or treaters, streamers in orange and black, baked goods in the oven, a Halloween movie marathon set to play when they get ready and they’re all dressed up.

Chase is Hawkeye, his favorite Avenger, Marvin is Doctor Strange, his ears hid in the sweeps of his hair, Henrik is a plague doctor, Jackie is in a new version of a Spider-Man suit because obviously, and Jameson was convinced into a Bloodborne Good Hunter costume. They’re all happy and enjoying themselves, planning to visit Jack before the night is out, but there’s a little worry that they can’t really help about what the glitch might do tonight. But they’re all prepared just in case, Marvin’s cards are charged with spells, Chase has iron arrows, James has his throwing knives and watch, Jackie has his powers and Henrik has a few potions Marvin helped him make.

Anti, isn’t at the Septic house tonight, he’s out enjoying the freedom the night brings the hunters like him. He may go have fun with the Septics later, he might not, he hasn’t decided yet as he’s having too much fun ‘playing’ with whatever human catches his fancy. His costume? It changes depending on who he wants to leave a message for, he’s sometimes Venom, sometimes a blood starved Beast, sometimes a plague ridden creature, or Bullseye or Mephisto…but he knows even without a costume his puppets will recognize him tonight.

The next home we’ll go to is the old manor that is a home to the Ipliers. It’s decorated to the nines with cute, spooky, creepy and terrifying all mixed together. Ghosts, skeletons, spiders, black cats, spider webbing, fake blood, you name it Wilford put it in along with a gigantic bowl of candy on the porch. He even managed to convince Dark to let him put up orange and black and green confetti poppers as long as there was no glitter. The manor is in the middle of a party, there’s a movie and decompression area if all the social interaction gets too much, and of course everyone’s in costume.

Dark, as much as he sighed about the idea at first, was talked into being Moon Knight, Wilford is Willy Wonka, The Host decided to be the Prophet from Darkest Dungeon, Bim is Alucard from Hellsing, Eric was coaxed into dressing up as Lucio from Overwatch, Prime, Red, Green, Ollie all dressed up as circus characters, Prime the ringleader, Red the strongman, Green the fire breathed and Ollie the Lion tamer, Bing came as Freddy due ti the upcoming movie they’re all excited for and Night is in a black purple Greek toga as one of his older incarnations as Erebus.

There’s food and drink set out and one of them is there whenever Wilford goes to get a drink as everyone remembers last time his powers got out of control when he was a bit too sugared up or tipsy and no one needs to reset the house tonight. But all in all…it’s really nice that they can all relax and enjoy themselves.

The last home we’ll go to is the Sanders Sides residence, a match for Thomas’ home in reality. It’s less scary and more spooky/creepy and cute, bowl of big candy bars on the porch for trick or treaters, a few pun ghost plushies holding cards or buckets to be taken home. Inside it’s set up for movies and food and fun. There’s a few more tastefully bloody things inside from Remus begging and promising to save the slasher films for after Patton went to bed.

Patton is a cat, Logan is Iron Man, Virgil is a version of the Crow from the cult classic films with a plushie crow on one shoulder, Remus is a less gorey zombie, Roman is Cinderella’s Prince Charming and Janus is Jekyll and Hyde.
