The (main) batfam age gaps (and other timeline things) in this blog's current DC canon:
First off, here are their birth years: Bruce (1997), Dick (2012), Jason (2017), Tim (2020), and Damian (2028).
Bruce and Dick - 15 years (he's Bruce's bio kid, but neither of them actually know.)
Bruce and Jason - 20 years, was previously 22 I think? Fun fact, Jason was the longest standing Robin!
Dick and Jason - 5 years, was previously 7.
Jason and Tim - 3 years, Tim was 12 when Jason was 15 (aka when he was kidnapped by the Joker in this blog's canon)
Tim and Damian - 8 years. Jason had only been Robin for 2 years when Damian was conceived.
Additional Robin (+ Bruce) timeline:
Bruce became Batman when he was 23 (in 2020) and was 25 when he first adopted Dick (2022), for reference.
Dick was Robin for 3 years. He started at 10 instead of 8 (the most common canon age for his parents' deaths), because I love me some good father-son parallels and Bruce was 10 when HIS parents died.
Jason was Robin from the age of 8 to the age of 15 (when his death was initially faked and Tim replaced him), which is 7 years. He died at 17 (2034) because I've taken pieces of Arkham Knight Jason for his story (he was stuck with Joker for 2 years, not just 1.)
Tim became Robin in 2032, when he was 12, and stayed Robin until Damian came along! Tim was 17 (and has stayed 17 since lol). Which is five years (though Steph did have a little few-month-long Robin moment in the middle). He then became Red Robin, of course! Though he had his own abandonment issues crisis about being replaced by someone "better" than him. He'd just settled into the idea of Bruce actually caring about him, y'know? Only for that all to be ripped away. But that's something for another post!
Damian became Robin when he was 9, in 2037, when Bruce was 40. He's still the current Robin because I haven't really gotten past Bruce being 45 in this blog's canon yet! Hardly any plans for the future! But I do have a few possible storylines for Damian in his teen years going on.
Jason went back to Gotham just a few months before Damian turned up - He'd already had a bit of fun (beating up Tim) but hadn't gotten his full plans in action yet! When Jason and Damian meet as Red Hood and Robin for the first time, Jason actually lights up with recognition. They knew eachother for a few years, in the League! Jason was a bit of a father figure to Damian for those years. I think it's rather sweet!
Okay, so this post is....... A little messy. I just needed a place to put all of this! Hopefully the other admins agree with this timeline and hopefully I didn't fuck any of it up..

Time crisis
Clockwork looked sick, this was the first time Danny had witnessed something like this so he couldn't help but feel concerned for his mentor. However, no matter how many times he asked what was going on, the Ancient refused to answer.
The halfa was taking care of him and finally Clockwork revealed that he was under attack. Danny raised an eyebrow in confusion, he saw no one in Clock Tower and the Observants were not around, seeing his confusion the Master of Time explained himself more clearly.
Clockwork had multiple bodies, distributed in different dimensions. And while they didn't follow the same rules, their job was the same, "preserve the timelines". One of his other bodies must have sensed his timeline being altered multiple times and awoke from its rest to repair the error.
Someone must not have been happy about that, if the damage Clockwork was receiving was anything to go by. The Ancient had no doubt that if they kept attacking him they would cause him further damage, which would be a big problem for the timelines.
The reason he didn't want to tell the halfa that was because he knew Danny would want to help, but not all of his "parts" were good, nor did they have the same methods to "repair" and he didn't want to show the boy a bad part of himself. Although he doubted his other "self" would attack young Daniel, seeing how fond he was of him.
Danny of course, offered to solve the problem. Knowing the boy was stubborn, Clockwork sighed in resignation and opened a portal to the DC Universe, where the Justice League was facing Kronos, Danny stepped through the portal immediately and started running to the battlefield.
Wonder Woman was gritting her teeth in fury as she faced Kronos, who was scowling in annoyance, his gaze seemed to be fixed on the speedster for some reason; half of the League were injured but holding their ground, and John Constantine had almost finished preparing a spell to destroy the titan once and for all. He opened his mouth to tell the Titan it was his end when a teenage boy ran past him.
Danny, who had no idea what was going on, stood in front of Kronos not knowing what to say. He didn't quite know how to fix the situation. Kronos looked at him in confusion as John choked as he noticed the boy in the path of his spell.
"Fate is not inevitable" the halfa told the Titan decisively. While he had been a hero and understood why the people around him would want to "stop" the other Clocky, he didn't want to see his mentor die (even if this was some sort of clone? Danny didn't quite understand), he was selfish, and he knew the other Clocky had his reasons. He looked at the wounded on the battlefield and took a deep breath before looking at the Titan again.
"Come home with me and we'll find another way to solve it" Danny offered, ignoring the heroes glaring at him. Kronos was still silent, he knew he could kill the boy in seconds but something in him protested at the idea.
Danny wondered if he could lock the being in front of him in a Fenton thermos.

"Come get your child." Robin stared incredulously at this...entity? Being? He was a child himself, how could he possibly have a kid of his own.
The creature huffed, seeming very put out by the young vigilantes confusion. "What is there to not understand? Your child has been running wild in the Infinite Realms for a while now. Ever since that portal exploded hes been taking his emotions out on everyone!" The thing said, throwing her hands into the air, "And you!" Robin stepped back a pace or two when he suddenly found a very sharp claw in his face, "I had to do a lot of searching to even find you! What kind of parent are you?!"
"I'm not."
The entity opened and closed its mouth a few times like a fish before suddenly becoming furious, "Its no wonder hes like this when his gardian has so little interest in him! Did you know the other day he plugged a liquor bottle with a cloth and lit it on fire? I don't even know where he got it, but he lit the cloth and yelled something like, "mazzle toff" and threw it at my own adult son!"
"..."
"When my little boy burst into flames do you know what he said to me?"
"...no, but I feel like you're going to tell me anyways."
"I'm sorry ma'am I wasn't expecting there to be that much fire."
"That much? So he fully intended to set someone ablaze but the amount of fire is what troubled him?"
"Yes!" She growled, exasperated, "Please come get your child as soon as possible! Hes terrorizing the whole dimension!"
Damian found himself staring at open space the woman had occupied previously before contacting Oracle through the coms, "Did you get all of that?"
It was Grayson that spoke, "Every word."
---
Aka Danny has a lot of misplaced aggression and kinda terrorizes parts of the GZ. Unfortunately for him hes a clone of one of the bats (weather or not you want it to be Damian, Project R or someone else that hes cloned from is up to you) and they're coming to him to assess if he's an evil clone or mindless or whatever.
Too bad Danny sucks at first impressions.

Does this count as kidnapping???
A clockwork apprentice Danny that has to fake Jason’s death because he accidentally meddled in the event leading up to it and now he has to act fast because he literally can hear Batman’s running steps catching up to him so in spectacular fashion Danny panics, goes “shit shit shit” and puts Jason in the ghost version of a coma but like expert level pumps him up with so much ectoplasm the kid legit dies for a hot minute there.
…It makes Batman think his kid really is dead like he is supposed to so not all is bad, the timeline is back on track.
It’s just that now Danny can’t leave Jason to be be buried in the ground like he was meant to be originally, instead he waits until no one is looking to snatch the kid up and take him with him to the infinite realms.
Jason is legit convinced he was kidnapped.
Jason: who are you and why did you kidnap me???
Danny: what— kid I didn’t kidnapped you, I saved you
Jason: likely story
Danny: really kid I’m not kidding this is not a kidnapping
Jason: well then can I go home
Danny:
Danny: no
Jason: fucking figures
Danny: in my defense when I found you you were already kidnapped
Jason: so? kidnapping me from my kidnappers doesn’t make u better
Danny:
Danny: well it makes me the better kidnapper

Ghost cores being mistaken for something like an egg is a niche in this fandom that makes me so feral, I have so many fic prompt ideas.
One thought that keeps going through my head is Danny gets hurt some how (Escaping GIW? The Fentons vivisection?) and ends up in the care of a hero. There isn’t enough ectoplasm around him to heal his wounds and keep him alive at the same time, so in order to preserve energy and focus on healing he needs to retreat into his core and go into a sort of ghost coma.
Deciding to put his trust this hero, Danny tries to explain that his injuries are too severe to heal in his current state, he ‘can’t stay’, but doesn’t have anywhere to keep his core safe. He cannot stress enough just how important his core is, how fragile it is, about how he didn’t have anyone he could trust to properly take care of it, and just begging them to keep GIW away from his core.
The hero agrees to take care of their core and not turn it over to the government, if only to calm him down so they could attempt to treat his injuries to the best of their abilities. Hearing them promise to take care of him until he’s well enough to take care of himself gives Danny enough relief to just disappear. He literally fades from existence, leaving behind a bright green orb the size of a crystal ball.
In a mix of adrenaline, panic, and blood loss, Danny gives the hero the impression that he’s an meta/alien that escaped from government experimentation, begged them to take care of his ‘core’ and keep it safe from the government that was experimenting on him, died on their couch, and left behind a fucking egg the color of the Lazarus pit/Kryptonite.
After some time Danny heals enough to be semi-conscious and, feeling a little guilty/embarrassed about making this random hero responsible for him, tries to force his reforming before he has enough ectoplasm to return to his original teenage/adult form. He ends up reforming way younger than he really is (maybe he has just enough ectoplasm to form as a toddler/baby instead of a teenager, maybe he reforms at his ghost age, maybe his mind is so focused on the embarrassment of being cradled and cared for like a baby that his ectoplasm is like: “Oh, OK. So we’re a baby now :D ”), giving more credence to the thought of it being an egg that just hatched.
Just shenanigans with the hero trying to take care of an egg then a meta baby, while said meta baby tries to figure out how to get back to his original state.

Jazz found a magical artifact that bound itself to her. Asking Danny and his friends in the GZ made it clear that the artifact wasn't related to ghosts. When she brought it up around Dani, the young girl suggested they ask this friendly(ish) half demon girl that she met while on her travels.
So they left Amity to find Raven.
As soon as they stepped into Jump City, though, they found themselves pulled into some dangerous bs involving being sacrificed to some demon. Everything they had on them was taken by the cultists. Including the artifact.
The artifact started to glow as it got further and further from Jazz until, at 10 feet away, it spun out of the cultist's hands and went straight into Jazz's chest. She'd started freaking out, until she realized she was being surrounded by a very bright light and floating.
By the time she dropped back to the ground, only stumbling slightly, she noticed that she was in a different outfit. It wasn't what she'd normally wear, but it surprisingly suited her. It was a mostly light blue dress with black accents. She also noticed that the rope that was tying her hands together was gone. There was also a really pretty blue and black bat with a bow on its handle in her hands.
"Who are you? Where'd the other girl go?" one of the cultists asked, gaining her attention.
Jazz was confused. She didn't change that much.
Then the jerks started attacking her. She was able to dodge their attacks due to their sloppiness and landed a few herself. They started using broken pipes and chairs as weapons but she'd been trained by two hyper competent scientists in self defense. They weren't going to stand a chance against a Fenton, much less one with their preferred weapon.
After she won the fight, the door was busted down by a black haired kid wearing green, red, yellow, and black leading four other teens. They seemed ready to fight until they noticed Jazz untying her sister and most of the cultists passed out from head trauma related injuries.
Before the 5 teens could ask questions though, Dani asked her where she went. She'd returned to normal after the fight, and didn't know what to make of it.
"What do you mean where did I go? I was right here?" Jazz replied.
"No?" Dani replied confused. "You disappeared and a girl in a blue and white dress appeared."
"That was me," Jazz said, starting to become drained. "The stupid artifact went into my chest and there was a flash of light then I was in that dress."
The group had snuck up on the two girls during their brief conversation. Raven spoke first. "Can I see the artifact?"
Jazz jumped and spun around. "Oh! Sure." and then handed it to Raven.
Raven floated away from the group to let Robin take over asking the two questions. She turned the artifact over in her hands a few times before summoning a book and searching through it until she found the page she was looking for. The description matched.
She rejoined the group and told them what she found out. "It's a rather new artifact as far as artifacts go. It was created as a set of three in the early 1990s. They were meant to find people who were "pure of heart" or had "strong senses of justice" that didn't feel like they were able to help and bind themselves to those people. According to the book, the person that created them wanted to create their own set of "magical girls" and spelled the artifacts to be able to give their hosts a set of powers, outfits, and weapons based on the host's personalities."
It took a few moments for it to sink in, but when it did Cyborg, Beast Boy, and Dani started snickering. Starfire was confused but happy. Robin and Jazz had very similar reactions, responding with a nearly perfectly timed "What?"
Here are some magical girl associated powers, if you were curious.

Reading through old individual runs is crazy bc I’ll be talking about Bart Allen’s Entire Lore of Impulse 1995™️ but if you ask me at what point in his life he meets Robin I would not be able to tell you.

I've always found the: "Jason was to die at age fifteen no matter what." deeply interesting in that sense of: "What would Jason choose?" like... was it worth it? Were those few years he spent with Bruce worth a horrible death?
Also, when you put it next to a Jason that grows up into adulthood... you still put it into a balance. We know, textually know, that those few years were Jason and Bruce were together as father and son are deeply precious to both of them so would it be worth it? Would it be worth it to live and having never experienced them? Guess it's the same question as if Jason was to die no matter what... was meeting Bruce worth all the pain that would become?
was the love worth it….

Quick idea prompt 1:
... Ok, but like, what if when Danny arrives to DC (for whatever reason), it's during the Arkham games timeline/universe (or hell, it doesn't have to be seperate universes anymore, if that makes sense). Or something similar to it in a way? (... Looks at Arkham City)
Or just- Danny in a version of Arkham City....
Yeah, Danny in Arkham City. Nothing can go wrong with that :D

I like to think of halbarry as two gay men who haven't come to terms with their sexuality and complete denial bc of their trauma and bullying
like what you said in flashpoint paradox where in that timeline he got the support system and no trauma I think
I think it makes sense to me them being gay than bi/pan. etc
oh this could not have come at a worse time, i’m drawing the most bisexual halbarryisms in the world rn 💔
#danswers#dc#halbarry#hal jordan#barry allen#green lantern#the flash#danbles#i never updated on this but i finally decided my ‘true canon’ is that they’re both bi!#and yes including hal’s pansexual ass. it doesn’t rly make a difference either way but EYE personally interpret him as bi too#and ik i said all that stuff abt fpp but i think the problem is that the hc dismisses barry’s current life#as if having trauma could negate newer experiences#i think it makes more narrative sense to combine the memories of both timelines to make him feel more complete rather than choose either or#rings some bisexual bells doesn’t it?#not to mention barry’s compartmentalization is not strictly gay in fact it works thematically with the bi angle#as for hal. well i want her to be bi^2 to put it simply. the bisexual bigender agenda. bigenda#i also think that the way hal views gender is deeply fascinating and makes it harder for me to view him as pan bc of it?#not that i think being bi or pan has any singular experience but ig it makes more sense to me as someone that has identified as both#idek if hal would use labels i just describe her with specific ones as a way to communicate my own interpretations. he’s just living life#so yeah they’re repressed for sure. but i also don’t think that makes them gay#the post you referenced was an oldie tho i’m glad it still resonated with someone!#none of this is canon anyway so hc whatever you’d like <3#i’ll only fight someone if they say barry specifically is the token straight. targeting him just bc he’s boring smh…

i just spent the whole three days of the easter hols devouring akai x furuya fanfiction in a fugue state and i am not in an emotionally stable mood to go to work tomorrow
like no regrets 10/10 would do it again, i'm just saying reading fanfic should occur in a separate time dimension so that i could have read all the fic i did and still have three days off work to recuperate and nurse my bleeding heart and pick up my damaged brain so that i can actually function tomorrow and not accidentally start sobbing and freak out my boss

How about the most favourite Stephanie hairdo???
The girl has literally never had a bad hairdo but I am really... really... really fond of long and/or curly. I literally wrote a fic about where her hair saves the day. I genuinely do not care about the practicalities of long hair and vigilantism I'll be quite frank. She looks like a princess darn it.
Tumblr media
I just like that she has a river of blonde hair against the rest of the batfam, especially the boys.

So I was messing around with post crisis batfam timeline and just realized that if I try to follow Batman Annual 25 timeline for Jason where he was institutionalized for a year & on the streets for another year, then Talia would likely find Jason during No Man’s Land (even if I wiggle around the timeline of NML a little), which makes no sense to me. It has definitely not sounded like Jay was found during NML in either Batman Annual 25 or in Red Hood: Lost Days, but the implied timelines for NML and BA 25 overlap too much to move.
I prefer Lost Days timeline anyway, which doesn’t specify how long Jason was institutionalized (just that he began living on the streets 5 months before Talia finds him), so I could make it less than the year BA 25 says and instead Jason would be found before NML, which I prefer. This would also make the rest of Lost Days finish up earlier which fits more easily into the Batfam timeline ideas I have for Hush, Jay turning 18, and UtRH.

dick grayson (as nightwing) deserves a spiderverse moment give that mf the spotlight in a preferably animated, passion project that's both a love letter to old fans and a good starting point for new fans and that also redefines the way pop culture sees that character i don't think you understand how much i need that
