Cuddles with Isagi always include forehead kisses. When you lay in a position in which he can't reach your forehead, he awkwardly tries to shift either his body or yours just enough so he can kiss your forehead. Or your cheek, if that's closer. He doesn't give you kisses constantly, but every few minutes to remind you of how important you are to him.

Bachira can't stay still while cuddling because he's too energetic and being in the same position is too boring for him. He needs to change the position at least once every two minutes. He can only cuddle without moving around when he's tired, but that also means he will fall asleep in a position that's most likely slightly uncomfortable for you, but you can't get yourself to move even a bit. You just can't risk waking him up.

Kunigami basically traps you in his strong arms and there's no escape from him. Especially when he falls asleep, there's no way for you to get out. Besides that, his embrace comes along with an intense feeling of security. Occasionally, Kunigami also likes being the little spoon because sometimes he needs to be held as well. But nine out of ten times he's the big spoon.

Chigiri didn't expect to enjoy cuddling as much as he does. At first, he only agreed to it because he knew you liked it, but now he can't get enough of it. He's still too shy to ask for cuddles, though. Most of the time, you have to get his hints and then you need to be the one to ask if he wants to cuddle. He also has a hard time letting go from cuddling because if it was possible, he'd never let you leave his arms.

So I used to run the @ doyouknowthisql blog, but tumblr nerfed that blog a few months back, made it so that none of my posts would ever show up in the tags, which is rough when you're trying to run a blog with the goal of seeing how well a show is known amongst a community of people. long story short, tumblr never got back to me and I have made peace with that blog never returning. BUT!!!!!!! I was sitting here thinking "wow I have all these ql posters still downloaded, what can I do with them?" and the idea then occurred to me:

Tournament for the Best QL of all time!!!

This is going to be a massive 256 contestant tournament, in which qls of all shapes and sizes battle for dominance and only 1 will be the winner! But I need to define some stuff first!

What does QL mean?

QLs for the purposes of this competition are any live action tv shows, mini series, movies, or short films in which the main character is some flavor of queer and has an important plotline around the main character engaging in a queer relationship (romantic, sexual, queerplatonic, etc) with another important character. The relationship must be part of the overall story, not something that only shows up in like the last episode or is only implied/word of god to have happened (the exception being shows from countries where queer content is banned, like China. in those cases, censored shows that are adaptions of explicitly queer texts are allowed or shows in which the creators have stated explicitly that it is meant to be queer).

Thinking About Astarion x Evie (Ace!Tav) x Gale...Again

Astarion x Evie (Ace!Tav) Masterlist

A/N: Shoutout to @leighsartworks216 for letting me ramble to them about this AU. I have some more developed thoughts on their relationship and how it might come about. Consider this a 2.0 version of my previous headcanon.

So, first things first, I don’t think this relationship would develop until some years after the game

Astarion and Evie are much more stable in their relationship, maybe even married at this point

They’ve been adventuring, traveling all around Faerun and have made a habit of going to visit Waterdeep at least once a year

Gale made it clear that the tower is always open to them, even if at the beginning it was more for Evie’s sake than Astarion’s

As I've established in a few places, Gale was initially romantically interested in Evie, but she turned him down and they slipped into a very close, borderline queerplatonic relationship (although Gale does have some lingering feelings he chooses not to indulge in)

Also during this time, Gale and Astarion have gotten closer

While their bickering had never fully gone away, there is a much more playful tone to it

It's clear it's just how the pair of them communicate and any malice has faded years ago

Gale also can't help but notice how much Astarion has grown over the years, freedom suits him and there is no doubt Evie's influence has helped him expend the circle of what/who he decides to care for

Astarion too has finally admitted that Gale does have his charms, and has even confessed to missing him on occasion (only to Evie of course)

So picture this

Some years after the events of the game, Gale gets into a proper romantic relationship with somebody in Waterdeep. They love each other. Gale is his absolute attentive self, they think he's amazing, every thing is going great

Then, Evie and Astarion drop in for a visit

His partner knows about Evie and Astarion. Gale has talked about them plenty of times.

It's clear they're all very close, but Gale specifically mentions his relationship with Evie, while not romantic, still runs deep

Of course, at the time his partner said that it was fine. Why would they need to be jealous of a friend who is already happily married to somebody else? But then they see the pair of them together

Yes, Gale says it's not romantic, but the only person they're seen him drop everything for has been them...and now Evie

It shouldn't bother them, but it does. How is Astarion not saying anything? His spouse is standing in front of him just casually touching another man like it's no big deal!

Evie also has the audacity to be nothing but polite and kind the entire time while clearly caring for Gale

Gale is still Gale, but with both Astarion and Evie there, they feel like they've missed out on some deeper aspect to him only the pair of them fully comprehend

The worst is when they decide to all go for a night out

Evie ends up running a bit late for some reason leaving, Gale, his partner and Astarion making small talk, but to little success

They admittedly have not been getting on great with Astarion

Gale might assure them that he takes some time to get used to, but it seems the man is determined to be unpleasant

The only time his narrowed eyes seem to lighten at all is when Evie is in the room

It's the signal they've finally arrived, when Astarion lips turn into the first real smile of the evening

They then make the mistake of looking at Gale

He gaze turns and his expression just...melts

They know that look, they've seen that look, but the worst is how it shifts into something sadder, resigned, only to be pushed away just in time for Evie to slip in beside Astarion, seemingly oblivious

How in the hells are they supposed to respond to a display like that?

They eventually confront Gale about it, much to Gale's confusion because he thought he explained it very thoroughly

And well yes, technically he did, his partner still can't wrap their head around it seeing it in action; and he absolutely failed to mention being in love with Evie

Gale adamantly denies it, but they can tell even he doesn't fully believe it

Gale, however, does confess that he met both Evie and Astarion at a very vulnerable point in his life

Evie especially helped him though a lot, so he's not about to let this relationship go or change its nature

Astarion had the benefit of witnessing it's inception so while he and Evie got together, and it took some adjusting on his part, he was able to more easily understand it

Gale then gives them an ultimatum of either accepting that Evie is always going to be part of his life or not

His partner decides to leave; while they do love Gale, they don't want to be placed second

Gale is gutted, but he can't bring himself to fully explain to Evie and Astarion why exactly he and his partner split, just that it apparently did work out

Evie can't bring themselves to leave Gale when he's in such a state, and Astarion agrees that a heartbroken Gale shouldn't be left to his own devices

It ends up being the longest they've all stayed together since the Absolute, and new and old feelings start to stir

Astarion for one, fully admits to not liking Gale's ex from the jump, even if he can't fully articulate why

It wasn't anything they did per say

He could point to the way they looked at Evie; with suspicion and frustration. But, even when Evie wasn't in the room, they annoyed him

Something about the way they buzzed around Gale made him prickle; Evie never spurred such a reaction, maybe he's just used to it

Of course Astarion was there when everything blew up and of course he was defensive of Evie and supportive of Gale, but there is also this odd relief

He feels like he should feel guilty about but just isn’t. It at the very least starts him really thinking about his feelings towards Gale. 

Astarion is also furious at himself once he realizes his feelings are romantic and he wants to kiss that wizard on his stupid face

He and Evie have also been discussing possibly opening up the relationship

Astarion has been wanting to experiment with sex again, and while they've developed their own forms of intimacy, he would never push Evie into anything she truly did not want to do

This has been sparking some of Evie's anxieties about past partners growing bored when they couldn't offer them sex, but Evie doesn't want to lose Astarion by outright saying no

Gale is already aware of his feelings toward Evie, and his guilt associated with it made only worse when he starts to feel those same feelings for Astarion, which admittedly have been growing for a few years now

Basically all of them have a lot of complicated histories with relationships and intimacy and it takes a while for them to get it all sorted out between them

Astarion and Gale would be the first to break, some of the same beats playing out with Astarion finally kissing Gale and the two of them going to Evie immediately after to talk it all out

Evie would feel like she’d need to keep her distance as Astarion and Gale work out exactly what their relationship is

A part of her is still so afraid she’s going to be the one pushed out. She loves them both so much, but they each can provide each other not just love but sex and so many other comforts in each other.

Meanwhile Astarion and Gale are just sitting their baffled like, “you do realize the main reason why we’ve tolerated each other long enough to start developing feelings is because we both loved you first”.

Gale might be the one to reach out first asking her to accompany him somewhere, just the two of them. It gives them time to talk, Gale to voice some of his anxieties about starting a relationship with Astarion and wanting to figure out the rules to make Evie comfortable.

It would also be the moment he confesses exactly why he and his ex broke up; yes, there were other issues, but it really came down to his relationship with her

Platonic, possibly romantic, whatever they want to call it in the moment, the love between them is real and now they have a chance to figure out just how deep it goes

Astarion is a little more of a mess, taking longer to accept that yes he does love Gale and no that doesn’t diminish his love for Evie, it’s just different. Evie taught him just how much love he was truly capable of. That itself was a lot to come to terms with, finding out he somehow has even more is nearly overwhelming.

He’d be boarder line paranoid of accidentally pushing Evie away to the point it may slow does his progress with Gale. Luckily Gale is the best person to understand just how important Evie is to Astarion. 

I've got a lot of other random headcanons of the three of them once they all settle into the relationship, but that's the basic set up. If you'd like to hear about some more fluffy rambles or even want some one-shots with the three of them, let me know!

Intro+rules stuff

Hello! I’m Adhara. I like Obey Me! I’m familiar with the OG game, but not nightbringer. Trying to get back into writing. I’m working on a rewrite fic on ao3 with my own MC (Auva) and I also have a BUNCH of worldbuilding/concept notes. The purpose of this blog is half to practice and interact, and half to infodump about my MC and her version of the story because that’s fun.

I’m most comfortable with writing the seven brothers. Much less so for the undateables, and I have absolutely no familiarity with the new three. For now I’m only willing to write stuff focused on the bros.

You and Eddie first met in class in high school, bumping into each other.

You had noticed him before, with his eccentric persona and unique style of clothing, but had never dared approach him until now. He immediately recognised you, as you stood out from the rest of your peers with a queerness equal to his.

The two of you got to talking and quickly realised you got on well together. You could match his level of quirkiness, retorting quickly with wit and cleverness.

When you went your separate ways, Eddie couldn’t stop thinking about you. He realised he needed to get to know you better.

And so your friendship began, similar to of the falling headfirst into a deep pit without being able to get back out.

You were immediately close to each other, and there was no turning back.

It’s no secret Eddie sucks at the subjects in school and that his grades are all very low, so he’d often beg for your help and tutoring with those puppy eyes of his. You stood no chance of denying him.

Eddie’s an open person and would allow you into all parts of himself — just sort of dumping all of him onto you.

He introduced you to all of his interests at once; his favourite artists and songs; the wonder of D&D roleplaying;  him and his bandmates’ band; even teaching you a few things on his guitar.

If you play D&D, you’d sit right next to him at every session, even helping with some campaigns. He loves playing with you. If you don’t play, he’d insist to have you there, still, just to be near you. And if you played any instruments, he’d want you to join his band.

In turn, he will listen to you talking about all your interests with equal enthusiasm, and wanting to be shown all of them.

Eddie will try to remember everything you tell about yourself, storing the information to be able to surprise you with it later. Although his memory would fail him sometimes, the effort was still endearing to you.

The two of you didn’t really define you relationship, making it into something that was not quite romantic but still not strictly friend-like. You enjoyed each other’s company and were happy to leave it at that.

He likes to keep you especially close, just having some sort of physical contact at all possible times. He’s touch deprived, aright?

In public, Eddie will mostly settle for just an arm around you or to lean against you. In private, though, he is much more demanding; wanting to hold your hand, interlock your fingers, almost to the point of cuddling, and tracing his fingers across any tattoos you might have.

When he’s under some sort of influence this is increased tenfold and he would just dump his whole body on you like a weighted blanket, the weight of him a bit suffocating but also comforting.

If he’s too revved up to stay still beside you, he would play-punch you, hopping on light feet, and which would eventually lead to a play-fight. Who’d win depended on how irritated you’d be with him, and if you’d let him win or not.

Eddie likes to argument about things, but in a banter-kind-of-way. Whether it be music, which he’s especially passionate about, or the best ways to get high or drunk. You’d call each other things like fucker, prick, idiot, and twat, but in an endearing way.

He’s a cheeky motherfucker — and he knows you love it though.

Eddie’s favourite thing to spend time with you is to put on some of his favourite music and sing along to it, having a karaoke party all by your own; or to spend a day out, either walking around the woods or driving around in his van; or to get high and just laugh at stupid shit together.

Let’s be honest, everything he does with you is Eddie’s favourite thing. He’s happy to spend any time with you, no matter what you do together.

Eddie would always drag you to his concerts (if you weren’t already part of the band) and you loved to see him perform.

You’d often help with getting him ready, both with preparing his equipment and his outfits.

You introduced him to eyeliner and he’s been obsessed with it ever since. He always gets you to do it for him, straddling his hips to gingerly hold his face as you applied the makeup. He loves the intimacy and how beautiful you make him look.

Your conversations are always interesting, ranging from the silliest things, such as how melons are considered berries, to the important and big things in life, like future plans. Sometimes you’re just quipping back and forth petty retorts, sarcastic and witty with your banter. You’re always entertained in each other’s company.

With how much time the two of you spend together and how you clung to each other, people would often assume you were a couple. You’d just deny them, saying you two are friends, which the rest of your friends rightfully doubted. Or, if they seemed to be having a problem with it, Eddie and you would fuck with them and be even more affectionate with each other.

It didn’t help people’s assumptions either that Eddie loved nicknames. He’d go around addressing you with hot stuff, handsome, good looking, and his favourite, pretty boy.

He’d be in the middle of a band practice, pausing to call to you:

“Hey, handsome, would you kindly turn the speaker up? Can’t even hear my guitar over the drums.”

You’d just nod and comply without a second thought, while the other bandmates stared at the two of you.

“What?” Eddie asked.

“You just called y/n handsome. Is anything going on between you?”

“No? I just stated a fact. Don’t you consider him good looking?”

“Didn’t say that.”

“Yeah? Then there you have it.”

“Stop bullying them, Eddie.”

“What’d you say, hot stuff?”

He’s a prick, and he knows it, by the cheeky grin he always sent you. He loved fucking with people like that, and implying things that weren’t happening, almost like it was a hobby of his. You admired the commitment though.

Sometimes you’d retort with your own flirty nicknames, turning the conversation into a competition of who could out-flirt the other.

At the end of the day, Eddie is glad to have you in his life, always looking forward to the next time you’d see each other.

And he’d often want to go to sleep with you beside him, cuddling or not. Just your mere presence calmed him and allowed him to sleep peacefully without the help of weed or alcohol.

All in all, you are happy in each other’s company and had a deep connection, something that extended the normal restrictions of friendships and relationships. It doesn’t matter what you labeled it as, as long as Eddie and you were happy.

It's too perfect! Maru is like the Q, the gadgets, the control center, the medic, etc. But its a two-woman vigilante operation and they have like a will-they-wont-they thing throughout their missions. Maru is always worried about losing Abigail when she puts herself in danger.

Kaiser never liked to admit how much he enjoys the ways you express physical affection, but he's always been especially stubborn regarding your hugs and even cuddles. You always thought he enjoyed it - which is true - until the day when he suddenly snapped and told you to stop greeting him with your hugs. That made you insecure and led to you stop showing physical affection in general.

At first, it was only physical affection, but your insecurities only got worse until you stopped showing affection in general. The fear of being a bother to Kaiser was too bad.

Secretly, Kaiser always loved your hugs, and now he's starting to miss them. A lot. He doesn't even remember properly what led him to tell you to stop. He only vaguely remembers being in a bad mood that day, but he still doesn't fully know why in that moment, he felt the need to tell you to stop entirely.

But it's Kaiser, so even now, weeks later, he's too stubborn to admit it was a mistake. And he's even more stubborn about telling you he genuinely enjoys your physical affection.

What finally makes him give in is you not standing at the door to greet him. At first, he thinks you're either asleep or not at home, but then he finds you in the living room not minding the fact that he - who's your favourite person - is back at home.

For a moment, Kaiser stands in the middle of the room and looks at you without saying a word. He then sighs and opens his arms. "Come here, give me a hug."

"I thought you hated my hugs." You respond, slightly upset.

"...I don't. Now come here."

"No."

Kaiser is getting frustrated, so he turns around and is about to leave the room, but is stopped when you change your mind and run towards him for a hug.

Kaiser chuckles and quickly wraps his arms around you. "Changed your mind?"

"I should be the one asking you that question." Your voice sounds slightly muffled from burying your face into Kaiser's shoulder.

"...Whatever." Kaiser mumbles and tightens his embrace.

Both of you refuse to let go of the hug, so you stay in each other's arms for minutes without any of you saying a word. At least until Kaiser speaks up again.

"I'm sorry, by the way. I like your hugs. And I miss cuddling with you as well."

But yes, I understand that there's little point in making a work that won't get featured so I'm probably a little nitpicky here.

Anyway, after some thinking and soul-searching... Yes, let's keep it gen. Thank you for inspiring me to clarify this.

Reasoning / explanation

Based on the event masterlist, Slash has a whole week, femslash has a February and M/F has no week but running a hetero-only event on Tumblr seems like the kind decision Turin Turambar would make ;) So the only option left is Gen.

(Also, smut has more than one week for it, and Angbang has its own separate week, there's really a lot of space for fanworks of it)

And before anyone tells me about Gen Week: I know. But I like gen. And I feel it's still underappreciated.

And Feanorians are overhyped too and they have a week too, but a) they're kind of relevant because many headcanons put them in the void, and b) I like them and I don't like characters kissing so... I may have some unjustified Feanorians. As a treat.

(To make it clear how I understand gen: strong relationships that aren't coded sexually or romantically, are gen too. Queerplatonic is gen. [edit: doesn't have to be] And by Ao3 definition, some relationships but in the background are gen too, I'm not sure where's the line. Am I correct?)

(Also, if this even inspires you to write, for example, a romantic angbang date in the Void ;) you can post it on angbang week, or one of the multiple other relevant events.
