god u know when there was like. a whole hippie movement. can we pleasee make an anti-tech movement. like ik that exists but i mean a BIG WIDESPREAD one. & like not a crazy one but a positive & chill one, like we can def use helpful & necessary technology but generally no social media and prob no streaming platforms either. if companies are doing shitty things with tech we won’t stand for it. using “outdated” things like physical media & wtv. engaging with your local community more if that’s viable. going to random knitting club meetings at the library or smth. volunteering. there’d be no rejection of people who didn’t do these things, just encouragement to move away from the worst parts of tech and do what works for you, even if that means social media (although i feel like it’s VERY hard to use social media healthily now). idk i just feel so poisoned by technology at this point i want to LIVE

If you take requests can you do a dc x dp with dead tired ship?
I love requests~! I really hope I got dead tired, ship, right. I need to find out the ship names. It's Tim/Danny, right? If not, let me know, and I'll fix you another one.
Tim really wasn't looking forward to meeting the new heir to Vladco. Usually, his parents didn't want anything to do with new money, as they thought that new money was too close to no money, but Vlad Masters was different.
The difference? He bought out almost all of Drake Industries' shares, and now Tim honestly thinks he owns more of the family company than his parents. Jack and Janet hoped to make good connections with the man and slowly but surely trick him into selling the shares back to the Drakes.
Tim thought if he was smart enough to get the people that bought shares of his family company generations ago, not just once but at least eight times, then Vlad Masters wouldn't be as easy to trick as they thought.
Then again, his parents aren't the best businessmen around. If they were, they wouldn't be flying through the family wealth, leading them to bankruptcy.
Tim would know.
One day, he looked at their books when he was bored a few months after discovering Batman's identity. He tried to tell his mom about it, but she told him that he didn't understand the business well enough to tell.
So he signed himself into college-level business courses online to learn it. She didn't appreciate his initiative.
"Remember, Tim, Daniel Masters is who you must befriend," Janet says for the third time as they climb out of their car. " Friendships are the ladders to climbing up in the world."
"Yes, Mom." He tries to smile at her, but all Tim wants to do is go back to the roofs of Gotham and watch the Bats.
Jason is supposed to start his solo patrols tonight, which is a big deal, and he's missing it. His parents weren't supposed to be back for another month. However, their latest job was canceled due to locals complaining.
His dad grumbled about people getting in the way of history, but Tim thinks it has more to do with his parents wanting to dig up an old cemetery......apparently the locals like their grandparent's resting place to be left alone.
Tim also thinks it's not lovely to dig there just because the locals are poor, so he may have hacked into the country's files and flooded the internet with the disrespectful attempt that his parents were trying to make. It received the right amount of backlash to stop the whole operation.
He then sent the community an anonymous donation so they could fix it up, get the gravestones washed, and the stories of the buried people turned into a book. It's the least he could do.
Tim's parents didn't realize the loss of funds only because he carefully hid his tracks with shell companies.
They are greeted at the door by Vlad Masters. He gives his father a handshake, compliments his mother's dress, and even offers Tim a gentle hello. Masters is known for being a bit of a humble hermit, soft-spoken but with sharp, intelligent eyes.
Everything he expects new money to be, down to his mannerism and even the way he stands. Tim would have been able to clock him miles away without even knowing his name.
"This is my son, Daniel," Masters says, patting the head of a frowning boy Tim's age. He stands just a bit away from Masters as if he does not want to be near him. Tim notes the way he shies away from Master's hand.
Interesting.
"It's Danny." The boy hisses. Mom's face tightens at his manners. She never liked children being heard instead of seen. Danny takes a small breath before smiling at the Drakes with a friendlier composure.
The hostility was only toward his father?
"Please call me Danny. It's my real name, not a nickname," He says, offering his hand for a shake. Tim fights a wince. As the son of a wealthy family and not the head, Danny is not supposed to initiate a greeting with Tim's dad.
He just told the Drakes he needs to be aware of high society rules, making him easy pickings. His parents jump onto that weakness like a lion on a trap gazelle.
"Daniel. It's lovely to meet you. " Mom's articulation is just a shade away from being mocking. Danny's smile falls off his face closing down into a near-emotionless mask. "How old are you, deary?"
"I'm old enough to still hear correctly, unlike you. That's not my name. It's Danny." He says much to mom's surprise. Tim guesses she's not used to people challenging her so directly. He learned that, too, while he was running Gotham.
The elites always made passive-aggressive backhanded comments to insult each other. The poor told you to fuck off to your face.
"You do not speak that way to my wife, Daniel-" His Dad starts, but Danny holds up his hand.
"You either call me Danny or don't talk to me." He says. "I don't need to waste my breath repeating myself."
Wow. Tim thinks, watching the red growing on Dad's face. He's cool.
"Are you going to let him talk to me like that?" Dad demands, turning to an amuse-looking Masters. The other man raises a brow, his gentle smile still on his face, but somehow it looks more....dismissive now. As if he was looking at a child demanding the impossible.
"Why ever do you mean?" Masters asks, "Your tone implies you were insulted, but that would mean you are upset with a child asking to be spoken to with respect. Surely, a man of your standing knows children deserve respect?"
"They need to respect their elders." Mom cuts in her voice like ice.
"He is my son, so I am his elder. Not you." Master counters, "But not to worry, I will remedy this issue. Danny will no longer be speaking to you disrespectfully, as I will not allow him to be near you."
His parents had a few seconds of looking smug until Masters waved his hand back towards the driveway. "Have a lovely night, Mr. and Mrs. Drake."
"Excuse me?" Mom cries, and Tim can't believe his eyes. The rest of the wealthy guests have caught on to the issue and have gathered near the windows and doorway to watch.
"That's Fruitloop for You can leave now." Danny chirps starting to look more like his father by the amusement on his face. "Except for him. He's cool."
He points to Tim, who flushes at the attention. He had been staring at Danny, taking in every detail of his expression and body language, fascinated by the fact he did not once seem intimidated. He didn't even look bored.
He seemed comfortable in his slightly slouched posture and confident in his skin and abilities. But his earlier behavior implied that just as he is confident in himself, he also doesn't think very highly of himself.
Tim's never seen anyone like that. It's strange. New. Exciting.
Heck, it was exhilarating.
Tim wanted to break Danny Masters' head open and figure everything about him out. It felt like a new case just begging him to uncover.
"I am?" He asks in a slight daze, and the other boy offers him a dazzling smile.
"Yeah, you respect the dead. The spirits adore you."
What?
"Oh, this is the young boy who protected that cemetery in Guatemala?" Masters asks with genuine warmth this time. "A fine job, Timithoy."
"It's Tim." He hears himself say, and Masters nods.
"A fine job Tim."
Danny offers him a wink, and Tim thinks his stomach just fell out of his body. What is this-?
"Timothy, we are leaving!" His mother screeches, tugging on his arm and yanking him away. The rest of the guests laugh as the Drakes are driven away. Tim knows he will never be allowed near Danny after this, so he turns his head around to give the boy one last look.
He meets the glowing green eyes of the Masters, who wave their fingers at him.
Tim starts following Danny around after that.
(Danny and Vlad know he's there and think it's cute. That's how ghost courts, so they don't see it as a problem. What is problem is getting along long enough for them to figure out a way back to their home dimension. Danny allowed Vlad to overshadow people just so they could have the means to eat, but he's getting really sick of Gotham. At least the soft clicking sound of a camera lures him to sleep at night.
Tim approaches Robin before his hero can go to Ethiopia. He doesn't understand what he is experiencing as his first crush and concludes that the Masters are aliens planning on luring small children by making them fall under a spell through their glowing eyes. Jason takes this very seriously and agrees to wait on his mission overseas. He realizes early on what's actually happening but, by that point, thinks Tim is hilarious and just edges him on.
He, too, thinks the Masters are aliens, but he's not about to tell Bruce.)

My ask is maybe a bit silly, and would probably go in 'sanity check' category. It is about Max, and how he is perceived. If I understand correctly, it is said he is mad max, bad guy, aggressive… and similar. Now, I know teenagers are sometimes a bit crazy, and from what I read he was actually very badly treated by freaking adults, fellow drivers, when he first joined F1, so maybe then he was a bit aggressive, and it would be even understandable… but still it is difficult to even imagine that. Because Max I see (I am only following racing since last year) is nice, soft, funny, polite guy, still more looking like an innocent kid than an adult, even appearing naïve (unlike the sweet, adorable devil that is Charles!), and obviously so nice towards rookies (Oliver and Liam-who himself said it). So am I delusional and see what is not there or for some reason he is so vilified (I guess most coming probably from jealousy and Netflix crap…). Oh and one additional observation, he always looks so much softer and somehow cuddlier and cuter on photos from his streaming at home… What do you think? One final observation, then I will shut up  Sometimes it seems to me that all the Lestappen moments and specila connection maybe come from the fact that when Charles came to F1 Max finally had kinda his person there. Because he went form father abuse to fellow drivers abuse, but when Charles came to F1, he had someone he could have a real relationship with, even if they fought and were a bit sulky almost teenagers still in the beginning, they got over it as they grow up. But Charles is his genuinely healthy, good, fun, friendly relationship. Having spent time as kids growing up of course also deepens the bond and friendship, but also mutual respect and understanding each other’s qualities. I don’t know if explained it well enough… P.S. I LOVE your fics!!!!
Hi anon, and thank you so much for this ask! I don't think it's a silly ask at all.
All these "Mad Max", being too aggressive, being mean claims etc. stem from two things:
1. When Max made it into F1 almost 10(!) years ago, he was 17(!!) years old. He was a kid — a literal child. And he was a cocky, arrogant little shit at that, as any kid would be making their debut in such a prestigious sport at such a young age.
2. Max haters who will hate him forever, no matter what, no matter why. They don't even need a reason; they're just determined to hate him and will do so forever.
But the thing is, and his haters especially seem to love to ignore this fact, Max was seventeen years old when he made his F1 debut. He was, for all intents and purposes, a child. I watched Max make his F1 debut, and I watched and read the way he was viewed and the reception he received from his fellow drivers, the media, and fans alike. And I watched these grown-ass men already on the grid when Max joined welcome him by treating him like shit. These adults were so threatened by this kid who came into the sport without having to go through the same ranks almost every other F1 driver has to go through to get there, such as several years in F3 and F2 (Max only spent a year in F3 and skipped F2 altogether), that they did virtually nothing to make him feel welcome. Quite the opposite, in fact. It was so fucking sad and infuriating, and I lost a lot of respect for many drivers because of it. And if I'm being honest, anon, that's what made me decide Max would be my favorite driver. I can be incredibly spiteful when I want to be, and watching Max get slammed and slandered from so many directions from the very beginning made me want to be very spiteful. That's what made me decide that I was going to support that kid like hell. And I haven’t looked back or regretted it since.
I cannot stress this enough, and I know I've said it so many times before already, but: Max Verstappen was a child when he made it into the world of F1. But he's not a child anymore, which a concerning amount of people seem to be blissfully and willfully ignorant to. Max has grown and matured so much in the years he's been in F1. And, like most other people, Max Verstappen the adult is not the same person as Max Verstappen the teenager, or Max Verstappen the child. And he hasn’t been anything like his 17-year old self in a long, long time. But this, of course, is something his haters will never accept or acknowledge.
I truly believe, from the very bottom of my heart, that Max is always so nice and welcoming towards rookies, always willing to lend a hand or giving them advice, always going out of his way to praise and support them, because practically no one ever did that for him when he was a rookie. And that speaks volumes about his character and the kind of man he has grown into since making his debut.
You're not delusional at all, anon, and having only followed F1 since last year means it's not surprising that you don't see the very outdated and frankly incredibly incorrect persona the people who dislike Max will always keep trying to convince themselves and others is still him. Because it isn’t — not even close. Practically every single person who has worked with or been around Max in the past few years all say the same thing: that he's funny, easy-going, and one of the genuinely kindest people on the grid. And that means a hell of a lot more than the opinions of people who have never and will never know him, and have made it their personal, sad mission to hate him. So you keep holding on to the impression you have of him, anon, because that is a far more accurate representation than the image some people are so hellbent of painting of him. (He’s definitely not naïve, though, not even close.)
And I absolutely agree: he looks even softer and cuddlier when he's streaming at home! I love streamer!Max so much.
"When Charles came to F1 Max finally had kinda his person there". <- You are spot on with this, anon! I've talked about the special bond I think these two share in the past, like in this post, and so have many others. (@tsarinablogs @valyrfia @thearchercore to name a few - highly recommend checking out their blogs if you haven’t already!) It truly seems like they have never, and will never, see any other driver as a big a rival as the other, and the numerous accounts of their karting days from people who got to watch them battle first-hand from such a young age definitely backs up that claim. And I think that's so beautiful, and it's one of the many, many reasons why these two are so dear to me, and why other F1 ships will never be able to come close.
P.S. That makes me so happy to hear, anon, thank you so, so much. 🥹❤️

ELANDERVIER AUCLAIR
Nicknames: El. Age: Mid-to-late forties. I tend to play fast and loose with character ages unless specifics in the story necessitate it. Nameday: First Sun of the First Astral Moon (once again, you can see I care a lot™ about the birthdays of my characters). Race: Duskwight Elezen. Gender: Cis female. Orientation: You're implying El cares enough to think about it. She's probably somewhere in the sex-positive grey ace/demisexual camp, but let her own lack of consideration speak volumes as to its authenticity. Profession: Bog-Witch of the Northern Wilds, heretic and retainer to Firelight Trading Company. I imagine there's some kind of mythos around her as being a daemon that eats babies, but I'm hesitant to subscribe any real-world language to it.
PHYSICAL ASPECTS
Hair: Long, wavy and jet black. Eyes: Amaranthine, though her consort with the void has warped the iris. it is possible to make out some kind of sigil when standing close enough. Skin: Silvery with pale undertones. Tattoos/Scars: Ink-dark tattoos permeate every inch of skin aside from her face, though it's hard to know if they were done by a needle or magic. Gothic in nature, their elegance hides a number of symbols that imbue her with power.
FAMILY
Parents: Lord and Lady Auclair were of middling importance and their deaths did not leave an imprint upon Ishgardian society. Elandervier rarely, if ever, speaks of them. She considers her father a spineless coward and her mother a reprobate and a narcissist. Knowing they were left destitute after her actions brought her a macabre sense of glee considering they were willing to forsake her for their own comforts. Siblings: Her mother claimed she cursed her womb. El replied the insinuation gave her comfort and walked away clawed at the cheek. Grandparents: Unimportant. The only connection she has to her lineage is down the line to old Gelmorra where she believes her family had prestige. Others: Elandervier used to be in control of a cabal of voidsent accumulated from her various bargains, deals and trades. One of the few pacts kept after her assimilation to Firelight Trading Company was a voidsent by the name of Gobnip. Gobnip presents himself as an opinionated baby Ahriman who is 'contractually obligated to say all the things Elandervier won't'. Do not be fooled, however. With the right amount of aether, he can reveal his true nature.
While the witch is on retainer to Firelight Trading Company, she holds no allegiance to them proper. The only person she actively obeys is its patriarch, Rexonus; one of the first people she met on her defection from The Holy See, and one of the first people willingly abandoned when her confliction emotions around him and her birth-city came to a head. They kept in touch via occasional letters as she set up shop in the Forelands, and he rushed to her side when the blasphemy's rampage through Etheirys put her life and soul at risk. She made a pact with him, the closest language to love she understands, and uses her pragmatics and knowledge of dark magic whenever it is called upon.
She's not ignorant to the fact he has multiple lovers, she simply does not care. El holds all of them at arms reach, respectable and cooperative when she has to work collaboratively, but otherwise holds no great desire to get to know them. She's friendliest with @riftdancing's Blink due to their similar traits, but even so wouldn't necessarily call her a friend.
The person she has the most complicated feelings towards is Alaice. I won't go too in-depth into why, because it could be a whole post on its own, but it's something about being a mirror and an antithesis for her; of being so similar and diverting so extremely. Alaice is everything El abhorrers and wishes she could be, she hates her and loves her in turn, she finds her futilely weak and unfathomably strong — and she doesn't know where to put those emotions. I always write the two with an undertone of homoeroticism because I can, but also because 'love is consumption' underpins a lot of El's characterisation and it's TASTY to explore. Aka, cannibalism as a metaphor for sapphic love, vampiric 'penetration' being inherently queer, so on and so forth.
SKILLS
Abilities: Mastery over dark magic including thaumaturgy, summoning (voidsent), communion, possession, warding, etc. Midwifery. El's mother trained her as part of their family traditions and the hope her skills would elevate her as a trusted member of Ishgard high society. Even when defected, desperate women would make the long trek to Anyx Trine for fear of retribution from the Church/High Houses, and she would perform these services despite her hatred of Ishgard/Ishgardians. This is where a lot of the 'baby eater' rumours/myths originate from, as El would also perform abortions where suitable. Mostly this entailed the transference of aether from a non-viable foetus to a viable one — something the men of the gentry did not complain about when it benefited their sons (how odd)! However, El would always defer to what the women wanted over the demands of their husbands, even if this was done in secret. Hobbies: Studying the history of Gelmorra and it's traditions; foraging for herbs, mushrooms, moss and other things for potions and spells; simmering in pools of water and occasionally turning into slime.
TRAITS
Most positive trait: Elandervier is pragmatic. Above all else, she will contemplate and weigh her choices against any and all outcomes and select the most advantageous result. This may not be the easiest path, either. She is not afraid of tough decisions and hard work. Worst negative trait: She's spiteful. She's petty. She wants to make people suffer as she has suffered. Her moral compass is misaligned at best, deadly at worst, and she doesn't care for consequence. She's not a good person despite doing a few good things and she doesn't want to be.
LIKES
Colours: Black, green, purple and red. Smells: Anything earthy. Peat moss, freshy-turned earth and the scent of rain. The rust of blood. That smell you get when you get too close to a fire and you swear it's singeing your nose hairs. Textures: El is at home with anything that other people find revolting; slimy, spiny, soggy, etc. Drinks: Though partial to a red, El will drink anything. She can't afford to be picky when out in the middle of nowhere.
OTHER DETAILS
Smokes: When in Firelight Trading Company, yes. Tobacco is hard to come by otherwise, so she ends up quitting by proxy. Drinks: When she can. Guests often elected to bring her 'offerings' when in need of their services. She wasn't one to complain. Drugs: This one is tricky. I feel like things like hallucinogenic mushrooms and the like were probably an occasional indulgence, and she's a potions/medicine master of some renown. However, drugs as this sheet implies? No. Mount Issuance: If Gobnip is big enough she will ride him. :) Been Arrested: Good luck! Many have tried and failed!

INTERVIEW WITH A WRITEBLR — @albatris
Who You Are:
Logan || It/its
Hello! I'm a queer horror novelist and friend to cats from South Australia! I spend my time making art of all sorts, especially relating to my experiences of queerness and psychosis.
What You Write:
What genres do you write in? What age ranges do you write for?
Comedy, fantasy, horror, and sci-fi. Young adult and adult.
What genre would you write in for the rest of your life, if you could? What about that genre appeals to you?
Horror! There's such rich ground to explore in stories of horror and psychosis when you're not an ableist prick about it! There are unique and valuable stories to be told in the overlap here and I'm having a wonderful time weaving my own experiences of schizotypal personality disorder into my horror writing. It's the closest I've come to being able to share my inner world with others :)
What genre/s will you not write unless you HAVE to? What about that genre turns you off?
Historial fiction! I don't have anything against the genre, but it's just not my cup of tea. I'd never feel like I'm nailing the time period due to the sheer amount of nuance and detail that I'd need to have on hand… major props to historical fiction writers, you are stronger and more organised writers than I
Who is your target audience? Do you think anyone outside of that would get anything out of your works?
My target audience ranged from YA to adult, depending on the work in question. I want to speak to primarily people who are feeling disconnected and alone… I guess you could say my target audience is just myself of the past? I'm writing the stuff I needed to read, the stuff that would have made me feel seen and loved and understood. Anyone else is welcome along for the ride though ^.^ I hope others who don't see themselves in my work would catch a glimpse of a different way of understanding the world and be able to empathise and understand, and maybe have a lot of fun with it, too!
What kind of themes do you tend to focus on? What kinds of tropes? What about them appeals to you?
I love all that cheesy goodness about the power of friendship and the human capacity for kindness and connection! My stories, however otherwise horrifying or heavy, tend to come back to these at their core. My works all focus heavily on mental illness, neurodivergence and disability. I also have a soft spot for bendy realities, body horror, paranoia and hiveminds.
What themes or tropes can you not stand? What about them turn you off?
I cannot stand "the whole thing was just a delusion all along! none of it was ever real!" or "ooh they thought it was psychosis but it turns out it was ~magic~! see, our protagonist isn't CRAZY like those actually crazy people!" style plot twists. They're lazy and ableist! In general, I have zero tolerance for anything that demonises psychosis or uses psychosis only as an edgy plot twist.
What are you currently working on? How long have you been working on it?
I have two main projects, "All the Doors are Open", a YA fantasy/horror about the collapse of reality, and "A Rental Car Takes a Left Down Rake Street and Disappears" a paranormal horror about a vampire hivemind. I've been working on some variation of ATDAO for eight years, and Rental Car is a baby by comparison, and was only created last year.
Why do you write? What keeps you writing?
I write for fun! As much as I love to connect with others and allow them a glimpse into my understanding of the world, I primarily write because I just like to have a good time hahaha. It's something I love to dabble in and explore, something I love to wander through, something I keep coming back to over and over. I just feel a pull to it :D
How long have you been writing? What do you think first drew you to it?
I've been writing since I was around six years old! Growing up as a kid with undiagnosed psychosis and delusions, I had a lot of funky weird ideas about reality. I quickly found my reality didn't match with those around me and often turned to fiction writing as a means to express myself in a way others found more "palatable". It's a way for me to open the door to communication!
Where do you get your inspiration from? Is that how you got your inspiration for your current project? If not, where did the inspiration come from?
All kinds of places! Songs, dreams, daydreams, personal experience, conversations… I have a very chaotic brain, I take in a lot of odd information and it all lays the foundation for odd ideas to grow!
What work of yours are you most proud of? Why?
I'm most proud of Rental Car at the moment! It was my first foray into proper full-on horror and my first time writing a specifically schizotypal protagonist like myself, and people have responded with enthusiasm to both! It's become a passion project I really adore and I'm proud of myself for taking the plunge and starting it :D
Have you published anything? Do you want to?
I'd love to publish in the future!
What part of the publishing process most appeals to you? What part least appeals to you?
I'm not sure what appeals to me the most, but marketing appeald to me least hahaha. I'm not really a big presence on social media and I hate promoting myself. I just want to be a hermit. I'm not cut out for marketing myself :P
What part of the writing process most appeals to you? What part is least appealing?
I love editing! I love revision! I love wandering through this little garden I've written and pruning and polishing it. It's my favourite part of the process :D I don't have a least favourite part, at least not off the top of my head.
Do you have a writing process? Do you have an ideal setup? Do you write in pure chaos? Talk about your process a bit.
I have no setup! No schedule! I write when I feel like it and stop the moment I'm not having fun anymore. This has increased my productivity and enjoyment tenfold, as well as improve the quality of my work!
Your Thoughts on Writeblr:
How long have you been a writeblr? What inspired you to join the community?
Around 8 years! I don't remember what initially inspired me to join.
Shout out some of your favorite writeblrs. How did you find them and what made you want to follow them?
@tracle0, a friend and pal, who has some of my favourite worldbuilding of all time and such incredible characters! I've been following them for a long time now and love hearing their thoughts :D
What is your favorite part about writeblr?
I love the creativity and enthusiasm! People have such wonderful brains and I love being able to hear people talk about their work with such passion and adoration!
What do you think writeblr could improve on? How do you think we can go about doing so?
I think… remembering that writeblr itself is not a hivemind! I see a lot of folks lamenting that they feel ignored by "the community" or that the community is dying, and I think a lot of people see writeblr as a huge monolith. It's not! People gotta focus more on finding a few good friends and a handful of works to be genuinely invested in, rather than trying to interact with the whole of the (ginormous!) community, and expecting the whole community to interact with them. Writeblr is a description of a type of blog, and it's incredibly diverse and complicated and broad! You won't vibe with everyone and it's not so much like an official club you join but a shared experience.
How do you contribute to the writeblr community? Do you think you could be doing more?
Man, I'm just vibing. I'm invested in a collection of works I try to keep up with, and I try to keep up with the little circle of writeblrs I'm involved with! Reblogging and getting excited. I'm also often that person who gets bored and goes "heyyyy I'm bored, does anyone have an oc I can draw"… I love doing art for people! Could I be doing more? Probably! But also, I'm not meant to be everything to everyone.
What kinds of posts do you most like to interact with?
I don't have a preference!
What kind of posts do you most like to make?
Rambles, excerpts and art!
Finally, anywhere else online we may be able to find you?
I'm just here, babey! And albatris on NaNoWriMo, too. And I guess if you like you can hit me up for my discord, I help run a small writing server!

My 7 personal, non-negotiable, DC headcanons
I've got a few that I've noticed I incorporate into just about everything I've written, textually or not. Feel free to agree or disagree- these ideas live rent free in my head, they don't need to live in yours.
1a) Bruce Wayne has absolutely done a lot of designer drugs at parties. It's part of his 'identity' and he's never been as straight-edged about obeying the law as people might assume. His main job is hiding in shadows and beating people up, after all. He's responsible and gets driven home and doesn't patrol on nights when he's coked out.
1b) Dick and Jay have absolutely tried these same drugs at these same parties. Dick realized that he likes them too much and should stay away from them. Jay grew up with the consequences of addiction, so he chooses not to indulge. He may even threaten the party dealer if there are kids around.
1c) Jay gets shit for smoking, but it's Dick who'll steal the cigarette out of your mouth, take a few puffs, and hand it back.
2) On the Bruce subject, I always write him as watching people and talking to people via reflection - windows, computer monitors, etc. Haven't figured out why I like it so much or the true symbolism, but I almost always do it.
3) Barbara Gordon has freckles. Like, a lot of freckles. An obscene amount of freckles. Dick has counted just about every one of them and has favorite spots.
4) When Steph is 'home', she and Tim sleep together- Share a bed, zzzz sleep together. It's a comfort / human connection thing and Tim gets the best sleep of his life.
5a) Damian is a skilled artist, no doubt. Alfred is his favorite 'model'. There are sketch pads full of Alfred doing stuff around the house in a very dignified way and a few comic strips of Alfred the Avenger saving the world in a domino mask with a cat sidekick.
5b) Alfred absolutely has signed copies of some of the strips. He'll slip pamphlets to art colleges in Damian's laundry.
6) As far as Alfred is concerned, his favorite Robin has always been Jay and he's not particularly discreet about this. He adores all of the children, but Jay is his Robin because he's so much like Bruce at that age. Bruce's favorite Robin was Dick. Damian's favorite Robin is Tim. Jay's favorite Robin changes on the day and sometimes its even himself.
7) The 'real' ending for Bruce is the Batman Beyond timeline where he has literally alientated everyone who ever cared about him and he dies alone. He's a hero, but he's not a good person. He never learned how. Eventually, everyone comes to the realization that no one can save him from himself and his demons.

I’m sure I’ve BRIIIIIEFLY touched on it here before?????? But I wanted to set the record straight on what’s my own interpretation of Luis;
I See floating around a LOT that Luis was indoctrinated/brainwashed by Los Illuminados which like,,,,,,,,,,, no???????? Like,, ignoring the fact that I have seen SOME people turn this into racist/classist rhetoric-
Luis has been out of Valdelobos for YEARS. He left when he was a CHILD- he worked as a scientist for the majority of his life; there’s no way in MY mind that he would’ve fell for the same religious rhetoric the villagers who were already extremely devout Catholics did cuz he probably left that religion ages ago!!!!!!
I personally think it’s more likely that he was blackmailed into working with Los Illuminados- he comes home, finds what he was hoping to be a safe space taken over by a cult, tries to make a cure for the sickness they’re using- and when he finds out that he was working for them and that their intentions are to basically mind control the world, it’s already too late and if he tried to run NOW, he would’ve been chained up and tortured (AND HE ALMOST WAS. IN SEPERATE WAYS. HE WAS LITERALLY ABOUT TO HE TORTURED BY THEM FOR TRYING TO BREAK OUT.) hell maybe LI held the lives of the villagers over his head or something cuz those were his family too!!!!!!!
Some people even say he was ON BOARD with Los Illuminados’ plan??????? @/blveherb has a GREAT post debunking this but the note people point to in-game a lot- there one where he remisces that the world may finally know peace under their rule- is literally just that. Him making an literal observation that anyone would have made. That doesn’t reflect his actions/morals/wants?????? He LITERALLY says in the next paragraph that he doesn’t want that too Hello????
And yeah there’s probably a good chance he WAS curious by the Plaga and had that kinda icarus-burnt-wing thing with it!!!!! Cuz he’s a scientist ofc he’s gonna be interested!!!!!!!! But that doesn’t reflect his dang morals!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Another thing I see a lot is people trying to point to Luis and say that HE made the Bioweapons like the regenerators and he used live humans?? N o ???????? IN-GAME we get told that a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT scientist made them and it is HEAVILY IMPLIED that Luis was the ‘horrified’ scientist that tried to convince them to stop
(Also cough COUGH a lot of these ideas come from the RE wiki either making shit up or combining og and remake info so people who aren’t able to play the game or read the files get misinformed cough C O U G H )
((Alsoalso hahahahaah can you guys imagine how guilty Luis must’ve felt watching the other scientists slowly die knowing that the only reason he’s survived is cuz of his charm and his childhood connections to the village hahahahahahahahaha-))
This is just my stance on it, and what I think makes the most sense for his character- SO many people want him to be the perfect ‘bad guy turns Good’ character and that he only decided to change after meeting our golden white boy protag Leon and all his actions prior to that were all outta malicious intent. Like,,, to me I feel like it just erases a lot of his upbringing, trauma, and real-world Spanish history which rubs me the wrong way
Edit: adding this too cuz people won’t be able to see the reblog:
Again this is just my own interpretation!!!!!!!! There is HEEEEEEEEAPS of merit and REALLY COOL discussions to be had with interpretations that play into Luis being brainwashed by the cult, or him having a Frankenstein/Icarus like curiosity about the Plagas etc!!!!!!!!
Just don’t. Yknow. Be racist. Or completely misinterpret his character and morals
General good rule of thumb: if you can give the same amount of grace to a white character, try giving it to Luis.

Here's my submission for the @kirbyoctournament this year! I've watched from afar for a while but I finally mustered up the courage to submit!
Name: Wilder
Pronouns: He/Him
Image Reference: Drawn by @tatonslice (thank you bestie you're really good at this bestie)
Tumblr media
Personality and Backstory under the read more:
Personality: Very extroverted despite his circumstances; Wilder is a polite and understanding person through and through. Whether around friends, family, or new faces, Wilder is always trying to make someone smile and brighten up the world around him, never taking the lead in a conversation, but bouncing off the energy of others. He's an amazing listener, and encourages others to share their interests with the world, starting with himself. He can't help but get excited when he sees someone's eyes light up while rambling about something they like. Wilder truly basks in the positive emotions of others, but knows when to tone it down when he needs to. When the situation calls for it, Wilder can be very calm and understanding, someone one can confide in when struggling. While Wilder can no doubt make many friends, he finds it hard to keep them, and struggles to make real, deep emotional connections.
Bio: Wilder, while seemingly having it all, was actually extremely unfortunate throughout his life. To start, Wilder wasn't even born with that name, he was an orphan, bouncing around from home to home, place to place, after his real parents vanished at a very early age. He was given the name Wilder by one of the many homes he found himself in. Some of these homes were good, some not, and he often ran away, fending for himself for long periods of time before being taken in by another family or group of people. He's had the same whip since a young age, and it's seen a lot of use due to the utility a long, manipulatable object has when trying to fend for yourself. He started living by himself around his teenage years, at this point only having maybe a few friends he could confide in. Before this, he never really experienced big amounts of kindness in his life, only really being provided enough to live, barely a footnote in most people's lives, however; once he started living on his own, gaining his own freedom, he saw just how much kindness can mean. He was fortunate enough to have people offer him jobs, to make a living for himself, and when he proved himself at that job, people finally started to praise, and care for him. From that point on, Wilder swore to be kind, and to help those who need help.
Wilder's Relationship with @tatonslice 's Galacchio:
Galacchio and Wilder are childhood friends. They first met when they were around 6 or 7, when Wilder was with one of his many foster families. That foster family happened to be very involved in magic, and often dragged Wilder to big magic practice sessions where many magic users gathered. Not fitting in due to not...having magic, Wilder often sat to the side, trying not to be seen. Incidentally, Galacchio was in the exact same boat, and the two began talking to each other. Both being losers with no friends at that point, they bounced off each other brilliantly, and became fast friends. They spent much of their time together talking, laughing, and goofing off doing kid stuff. As they both grew older, they kept in touch, as Wilder, living on his/not moving around constantly could finally hang around Galacchio more consistently. However, as Galacchio started to shelter himself due to his nightmares and Wilder had to focus more on providing for himself the two slowly moved apart. Wilder, realizing this, got more and more desperate to see them, often going way out of his way to try and spend just a few minutes with Galacchio. Eventually, he realized that wasn't exactly normal and after a while of thinking and consideration was the first one to realize they had fallen for the other. Galacchio on the other hand, found his nightmares growing worse and worse, so he sheltered himself more and more from other, however, he too just couldn't get Wilder off of his mind. Fast forward to today, the two don't speak nearly as often as they used to, but they both realize that have feelings for the other and are both complete disasters about it.

Superfluous writing update
Calling this superfluous because it's about a story I've decided not to publish, but it's a writing update nevertheless and while I'm deeply dissatisfied with the result, I can still use it for my YOI canon/post-canon series.
The (first) draft of my Vitya backstory, which I've started writing during my Easter holiday, is finally finished. A part of me kept hoping that I might change my mind because it had some highlights like the origin of the bondage lilac fairy, but unless I invest an unholy amount of my time in the revision, it's not going to become a story that anyone would be interested in reading because for all I know, it doesn't match people's expectations about Viktor's past at all. In addition to that is this draft a big construction site.
Tumblr media
Here's what imho makes the story unappealing and/or screams at me to be fixed:
Baby Vitya obsessing over a late famous Russian ballet dancer, who I thought would be an amazing idol for him and inspire him to become the kind of skater we see in YOI - no actual story here, just a loosely connected series of events.
Early teenage Vitya still obsessing over his ballet dancer and experimenting with feminine styles and being very stubborn about it despite everyone criticising him - still no actual story here, though, and his arguing with Yakov is becoming repetitive.
A very lenghty part about his first love that was mostly self-indulgent because I knew I had to end it eventually - actual story here for once, but let's be frank: who does even want to read 8 chapters about Viktor/OC?
A first Olympics that very likely is not at all like what Sayo and Mitsurou had in mind for the movie because my Vitya is still trying to get over his heartbreak. Note that I never aimed for that because this project is the result of smaller details I've invented for my series, but the result is far from what I had in mind and although that's part of a natural writing process, the result is extremely dissatisfying.
No drama revolving Viktor's decision to cut his hair because I believe that it was just him getting tired of his long hair and reinventing himself/crafting a new persona.
Poorly fleshed out programmes (there were just too many and I was too busy jotting the story down).
Appearences of real-life figure skaters who competed at that time because I was too lazy to invent OCs for anyone who is not Stéphane Lambiel.
Poorly researched Russian culture (I was too preoccupied with turning post-Soviet Russia into a country that is compatible with the world of YOI than looking into such details).
No teenage Viktor meets teenage Yuuri because during the time the story is set, they never skated in the same category due to their age gap: when Yuuri discovered Viktor, he was 12 and Viktor on the verge of entering seniors, and by the time the story ends, Yuuri has just reached the minimum age to enter seniors.
Honestly, I don't see the appeal in any of this, even if I fix the issues, shorten the lenghty parts and connect the scenes in the first half to an actual plot. It will take months until I will have time for such an endeavour and it will take even more months to turn this clusterfuck of a draft into something readworthy, and by then here will already be dozens, if not hundreds of Young Vitya stories written by people who will likely do a much better job at it than I could ever do.
Why is that even important to me? My stories are very dear to me and posting into the void just hurts. So far, I didn't have any luck with stories that are basically Viktor without Yuuri. This one was especially precious to me because it's a coming-of-age/coming-out story. Since the movie was cancelled, I also feel that expectations for this kind of story have skyrocketed because YOI fans crave to get their Ice Ado in one or the other way. Last but not least, this draft needs an unholy amount of work, and given all the reasons I've just listed, it just doesn't feel worth the effort at all.
So yeah, I wrote a story I've been burning to write since I had the idea back in January, and for the first time in 15 years of writing fanfiction (and 10 more years of writing), I've fucked it up. I now have 115k of backstory I can use in my ADTLTBA-series to flesh out Viktor, which is ridculously much for a backstory. On the pro-side, I now can rest assured that this story will never be abused to hate on animation studios and I'm just emerging from two very intense weeks of writing, which I haven't had since last NaNoWriMo.

I’m in season 3 of duel monsters now and I’m very excited to start Gx again so that I can start writing more of my Yugi raises Jaden au.
Jaden is really childish and socially awkward in the beginning of Gx. And I know that comes from, 1. His parents frying his brain, and 2. Not having any friends because of the Yubel incidents
I think with Yugi raising him there is another factor to Jaden not having friends.
Yugi loves Jaden. He’s so proud of his kid. And the whole DM cast loves this kid.
He grows up going to their tournaments
But also in Duke’s game store and Kame game store, he had his pick of any toy.
Pegasus found out about the little duel prince and Dotes on the boy, between him and Kaiba any card in duel monsters is his.
He also has connections to five of the top duelest in the world. Yugi, Atem, Seto, Joey, Mai.
How many real friends do you think he had? Because my guess is zero.
I think Yugi would be super proud of his son but they get mobbed pretty earlier after Jaden’s adoption. People wanting to know who the little boy was. “Is he Yugi and Téa secret son?” “How long were they going to keep this a secret?” Or “is he Kaiba’s secret love child and Yugi is being a good friend and taking the kid out?”
Yugi was probably out and about with Atem at the time to and they were getting harassed in equal measure about who Atem is and where he came from. Every question was either about the super freaked out four year old in Yugi’s arms or the revived Pharaoh behind him. And while Yugi can be soft spoken he’s not having it and neither is Atem. (You don’t shout random questions at a Pharaoh and walk away without getting the biggest side eye of your life)
The two try to leave and not engage with the reporters, even telling them to stop, but they do get followed. Until Tristan or Joey show up and reporters know that these two will swing. The whole time Yugi is keeping Jaden tucked close. There are pictures of the two of them but Yugi kept Jaden mostly hidden from the reporters cameras. Atem definitely stepped between Yugi and the paparazzi trying his best to physically shield his Aibou and his nephew from them.
Seto is not dating Yugi yet, but hears about this almost immediately. He hacks the tabloids and delete all the pictures of Jaden and Yugi. (He probably buys the tabloids to just so he can fire the people who were harassing Yugi, Atem, and Jaden.
But the whole event leaves Jaden shaken. Yugi doesn’t want his kid to have to deal with that ever again. But he is the King of Games son. So Jaden’s privacy becomes a big thing for them. People know Jaden exists but no one can get a good photo of him. Sunglasses and hats, maybe masks to. No one knows what the prince of duels looks like. (Add in Kaiba security at all events and tournaments. The media can’t get close to Jaden)
But how does that affect a kid trying to make friends?
If he does make friends in elementary:middle school, it’s kinda hard to hang out. After all you have to meet the parents. And Jaden isn’t great at keeping secrets in the beginning. Leading to any kid he thought was his friend finding out who his dad is. And kids trying to use their friendship with Jaden to get stuff (or more their parents finding out and trying to use their kids connection with Jaden to get things, especially once Kaiba and Yugi start dating)
This leads to a lot of switching schools and NDAs. Jaden learns fast not to tell people who his parents are. He just doesn’t talk about family. But he’s still young and it’s hard to hang out with friends when your parents don’t know each other at that age. (Also Seto hates the idea of Jaden going places like the mall to hang out alone. Yugi thought he was over reacting until Seto reminds him of the amount of times Mokuba was kidnapped/the paparazzi ambushes)
He grows up loved and cherished, but friends his own age are hard to get. The DM friend group is in their early 20s they’re not having kids right away, (Jaden’s a great kid, but their is no better birth control then watching over your friend’s kid. Doesn’t matter how good they are) so he doesn’t have cousins to hang with. Even if he did they’d be much younger than him.
The closest to his age is Mokuba (he’s about 6 years? Younger than the rest of the DM gang. Making him 12 when Jaden is adopted-8 years older than Jaden)
So it’s lonely
The group loves him but it’s really hard for him to make friends in Donino city.
One of the many reasons he is so excited to go to duel academy! He can finally make some friends. He won’t tell them about his parents till he knows the kids like him for who he is and he trust them. Since it’s a school on an island they can hang out whenever and wherever they want. He’s so excited!
Now if only he made good friends :( (I love the Gx crew as individuals, but I’m not the biggest fan of how they treat Jaden. You can read more here)

I have something to say to certain people in this fandom and I've had these thoughts and feelings for a while. I won't name names for the sake of what I'm about to say. It's important that I say it, and explain it, and tell you firstly
I am absolutely disgusted, on a soul level, on a heart level, by your beloved Snarry ship and I must call you out on what you are doing to Severus (and also to Harry, though Severus has been with me since I was read the first book at 4 years old. From that age on, I knew and felt he was more, he was onto something, so he is the main focus of this)
I don't know you are, and I can't quantify and analyze each one of your lives to understand why you like Severus, but I know within my soul, you do not understand the gravity of what he gave up for Lily, the amount of self will it took, the knowledge that even if he would never make things right with Lily, he must do the right thing (which we can debate on if he actually made this emotional decision but I have a following more important point)
I have dealt with the strength of love towards a friend after the world that birthed you shatters you soul with abuse, you have no one truly supporting you in this world, you don't know what geniune love looks or feels like, but yet, you meet somebody who makes your soul glimmer, like you are actually alive and not dead inside. I have been down many schools of thought about these types of love, having them for a handful of different people I met throughout my journey. On one hand there is geniune pyschological phenomanoms when it comes to loving and connections after abuse, that some of us develop unhealthy attachment styles, some of us encounter limerance (unwanted, obsessive love for somebody else you cannot get out of), all of these schools of thoughts are valid and in appropriate medical settings and pyschology study, are useful for helping us understands how humans work and potentially helping us guide us to a patch of healing.
But what I'm going to say is different , because I experienced different, thought different.
I had to validate that love I held for those people because it made me want to continue to exist - and so what if is excerbated or partially caused by my trauma and/or mental illness. It was the most real feeling I had ever felt, those feelings eventually lead me to this moment now, where I can finally stand up and tell you how disrespectful you are to Severus and his journey by shipping him with Harry. I trusted those feelings and they lead me to the healing I needed for many years.
Severus's journey mirrored my own, I was the child with a terrible temper, getting kicked out of schools early on in childhood, group homes. But why did me and him continue to exist in a world that made it clear it didn't want us?
I found that answer out as I grew into a teenager and experienced love for my friends and my limerance objects (the object of ones affection while under limerance effects), that I wanted to keep existing so I could do good for them.
I had no idea how to do that, at this point I shipped literal Armstrongcest from full metal alchimist, my entirely way of being, and thinking, was fucked up. I hurt people left and right even though the feelings I had - and for certain people I didn't realize until I used and hurt them so much, that they weren't my emotional priority, I liked the companionship, somebody who talked about things you knew and were interested in.
Severus made friends with terrible people because they were the only ones that really gave that to him. And nobody stepped in to teach him straight or differently, he only knew the world as it was for him. I'm not condoning being a wizard racist or anything, I simply understand when you are in that much pain, as my friend says often to me 'if you aren't given appropriate love you will learn to lick it off a knife'
Something in him for Lily always stirred, and unhealthy as it was for him to have that, I truly believe it was the only geniune relationship he ever had growing up. And knowing personally still grief after 8 years of the person my heart chose simply ghosting and refusing all contact, sometimes that pain, that longing, it never goes away. You remember it because it spoke to your soul at that time in your life in a way you have never encountered since.
I am absolutely... just, offended, that as somebody who has gone through this emotional journeys, who understands now the appropriate space that must be given to this person, it is beyond words of absolute recoiling of the soul to think that after all that happens, your person never returns to you
That you go and fuck their child
all the self work you've done on yourself to achieve a sense of self you now can find yourself be proud you climbed that mluntain for them
That you go and think their kid is an appropriate partner
Part of this is understanding you need to leave their circle alone (even if it was never involved their circle before), it is a level of respect you come to and understand for this person. that from afar, mayhaps now and again you can send a blessing or help in some way, but to want to change your behavior from what you did that hurt them to run (which is the level of emotional decision i want to write for severus but that's another topic)
you understand your behaviors and your way of connecting with people isn't good, and the first thing you can do to make it right within your soul is going and trying to exude the exact opposite energy
which means respectfully at the end leaving her kid the fuck alone
i could go on rants for many of the other severus ships but i don't care to. none of them are more annoying to a mosquito to me. but this one, stirs a specifc part of my soul that i need you to hear when i say
When you fucking ship him with harry, you are completely opposite of that energy, you don't want what's best for him, otherwise you'd know the grief and such goes through stages and you's eventually want him to learn how to respect his own emotions and experiences
to see you snarry shippers say dumb shit like i love his smile, i love a happy snape, i love him, i am disgusted beyond words
you don't actually fucking care at all if you want him to go down that dark ass road
i geniunely had to ask myself at a point of thinking about this, what if it was me, and i was the person who was diddling that persons child?
i said to my friend, if that ever happens, please just shoot me. end it. clearly something has gone wrong, very wrong, and it can't be fixed when you get to that level, it's all already fucked. my friend, understanding he said to me 'i definitely wouldnt want to but i hear you... it'd be painful but i know where you are coming from when you talk about severus and m(person). if it gets that bad, i know you don't want it to go on'
of course this is a hypothetical question so of course it won't happen but that parallel is the Foundation of the understanding. without my feelings for all those people that eventually coalesced into my now many year long grief over just 1 and has held steady, I wouldn't have this personal context to give you but it's important I give it to you
so you can understand now how the very ship is an anti-thesis to severus's soul and how dare you say you care about him while doing that shit
how fuckin ass dare you disrespect him and his journey like that
how dare you try to stand with him while pushing him back into a similiar kind of darkness he was born in!
fuck you and fuck your snarry.
respect severus, don't you ass fucking dare act like you understand what it's living it because you clearly fucking don't if you can't give him the basic respect of not pushing him backwards
i hope y'all learn how to swim because i'm the goddamn severus snape goddess and your ship is creepier than flying dutchman, like he's not gonna even be willing to raise your sunken ship, that's how bad it is

Would be cool to hear your opinion on the topic of dream worlds. Is Termina a dream, and if so, who's dreaming it? Are Oshus and Windfish the same or is there a whole race of world-crafting whale deities? Can the "real" world of Hyrule and neighbouring countries be classified as a dream of the Golden Goddesses?
(I understand it's too broad of a topic, so feel free to pick whatever catches your interest the most).
Hyrule's alternate dimensions are my JAM. Fair warning, this is going to go on a tangent that goes way past what you asked for.
Let me first start by saying that I think Koholint is unique in being a dream—not because the other spheres of Hyrule are far removed from it in concept, but because of the core twist that makes it a dream.
Tumblr media
If this guy wakes up, poof! It's all gone.
What bars Termina and Hyrule from being the same is that there's no indication that you can do this. Majora does very much exist, as do the Giants of Termina, yet when they're fully conscious and active, reality doesn't collapse around them. Arguably, the moon does—there's a case to be made for this thing being a projection of Majora's consciousness (which I get into further down the line):
Tumblr media
But Termina itself, no.
Same with Hyrule. You can meet the Golden Goddesses, albeit in a much more mortal form:
Tumblr media
They're fully awake and, as far as we know, fully aware. In Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons, they're even in danger; something that can't really happen to the Wind Fish, no matter how many Nightmares it attracts.
But what is Termina, if it's not a dream? It's certainly twisted enough to be one.
Personally, I think it's a mirror to Hyrule in the same way that Lorule is.
Tumblr media
All three of these worlds have look-alike people, as well as their own version of Link. They have extensive histories, deities, evils to be vanquished, and so on. The key to what makes them different, though, is their point of divergence.
Let me back up a little bit.
Tumblr media
These are all the pocket dimensions attached to Hyrule—specifically to Hyrule. The Twilight Realm is where the Twili were banished from Hyrule, the Dark Realm is where Demon Lord Malladus calls home, the Silent Realm is where Link does his trials to prove himself worthy of the Triforce, the Minish World is where the Picori of legend come from, Koholint is the aforementioned dream of the Wind Fish, who as far as we know, makes its home in Hyrulean waters, and the Sacred Realm is where the Triforce is stored.
Tumblr media
From what Hilda tells is in A Link Between Worlds, Lorule was exactly like Hyrule in every way, up until the events prior to A Link to the Past, where the sages elected to destroy the Triforce rather than seal it away.
Tumblr media
This is the official timeline, according to Nintendo. If the point of divergence—the split in the timeline that made Lorule what it is—falls at the war, then Lorule's timeline looks something like this:
Tumblr media
So, subsequently, their amount of connected realms should look similar to, but not identical to, Hyrule.
Tumblr media
I've gotten rid of the Dark Realm because, according to Nintendo, we have no idea when Malladus was sealed away. It could very well be a child timeline exclusive; Lorule might have its own child timeline (which is its own post), but the Lorule we KNOW OF either doesn't have the Dark Realm, or is so far removed from it that it doesn't know it exists.
The Twilight Realm and Silent Realm are inevitable guarantees for Lorule. The Twili were sealed away long before the split, and Lorule in theory had its own version of Skyward Sword that kicked everything off in the first place.
The Minish World is a little trickier to classify; we know it exists through the timeline leading up to Lorule, but we also have some semblance of direct confirmation through the rupees we find in the grass and pots—coincidentally, we also find those in Termina.
What makes it tricky, though, is that we don't know if it's a separate version of the Minish World. Does each parallel universe have its own parallel Picori? Do they share one? Should it look like this?
Tumblr media
Who knows! Nintendo please give us another Minish game I'm begging you
Koholint is another strange case. We don't know that Link was essential to its creation—meaning that we don't know if Ravio was essential to its creation. Koholint may exist out there, and it may very well still be up and running to this day, the Wind Fish still dreaming. Without knowing when or why the Wind Fish fell asleep, we can't know its fate.
Back to Termina. We don't know its point of divergence; it may be so far back as to the Giants having created the world instead of the Golden Goddesses, or Majora springing up instead of Demise. So the various different pocket worlds associated with it are thus far limited to two:
Tumblr media
We can't know if they had any dark interlopers to banish. We can't know if they had a Triforce to protect at all. Termina is a flat-out mystery as to its history and origins (though personally, I think its divergence comes in the world before Hyrule). However, I think the presence of pocket dimensions itself in Termina backs up the theory that it's a real place.
The Moon, on the other hand...
Tumblr media
You go in it, and it has its own sky. Its own sort-of-central location.
Everything here bends to Majora's whims. He plays games. He conjures children. He makes you the most powerful mask you could possibly get.
He directly controls where and when it falls. Your whole fight against him involves cheating at that game; if you mess up, you turn back time to get a do-over with new information and new items.
This, I think, is a dream world. Majora is a lucid dreamer, forcing his fantasies to work for him. There's a reason he's only ever a mask when he's not in the moon; he has to attach himself to other people and work through their own minds, their own thoughts, to do anything to anyone else.
He has no access to his full power outside of his dreams.
Tumblr media
Now, on the subject of the Oshus vs the Wind Fish, let's look at them side by side.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
While they've got similarities—both white, both huge, both bearing godlike powers, I don't think they're the same person. The Ocean King is a lot simpler, with a more prominent melon and a larger tail fin. Meanwhile, the Wind Fish is more slender and long, with a different kind of eye and a farther extending jawline. Barring the things that are either parts of their ensemble or aspects of their magic, we're still left with two very distinct whales.
My guess is that they're two of the same species, like the four light spirits in Twilight Princess.

Kataang “But it’s only a 2-year age difference!” argument
Ah yes.  The amount of times KAs bellow this, along with “...but Katara was a mother to everyone!” can wallpaper my entire apartment.
Let me deep-dive as to why a 2-year age difference is actually much more significant between a mature teenager like Katara and a carefree kid like Aang, particularly in the universe of ATLA.
The ATLA world isn’t structured like our modern day, where 14/15-year-old girls worry about Algebra tests and Homecoming dates, or 12/13-year-old boys only have to skip down a couple blocks from their junior high to the big-kid school to meet their first crush “forever girl” for some ice-cream and Instagram Selfies after her friendly tennis practice, and French Kiss under the bleachers before her big brother catches them and nearly vomits from Oogies.
Oh no.  The ATLA world is very much a dystopian, post-war world... where children like Katara, Sokka, Suki, Jet, Yue, Azula and Zuko had to forfeit any sense of normal childhood and instead take up more mature responsibilities for themselves and those around them.  Toph even had to learn to be independent and raise herself for survival, despite being the same age as Aang.
What separates Aang from the other young characters is that he actually got to have a normal childhood.
Aang lived in the air temples, where monks lived in isolation and cultivated their own food and treated living things differently from the rest of the world.  They travelled everywhere, but kids like Aang were shielded from any sense of conflict or confrontation, and they definitely weren’t raised to see the world as a societal, economical hierarchy.  The pre-ATLA AirNomad world raised carefree innocent kids who got to take their time to grow up, because they never had to prepare for a brutal, cruel, unforgiving world where people and creatures they loved could die outside of natural causes.
Aang mastered airbending naturally, and for fun.  It wasn’t to prepare for war, but for his proud cultural heritage.  On the other hand, Katara worked herself to the bone to master waterbending... not for fun... but to fight in a war, to help train the Avatar to end this 100-year-war, and to maintain a delicate connection to her cultural heritage that has all but died out.
Katara and Aang’s perspectives have been different since the beginning.
And the “2 years is not that big a deal!” argument totally overlooks their maturity gap as characters.
Katara was a girl raised in a remote war-torn village in the South Pole.  She lost her mother in this war and had to internalize that grief for years as she took up more adult responsibilities to help her small village.  By the time she was Aang’s age, she cooked for people, cleaned for people, helped raise other people’s children... and, as seen in the S.2 episode “The Serpent’s Pass,” she didn’t flinch when having to deliver babies out of women’s vaginas.
Katara is 14, going on 25.
Aang, not having been raised in a war, was a kid.  He was that carefree, playful, innocent soul up in the Southern Air Temple who loved games, and recess, and pulling pranks on his teachers.  At the age of 12, Aang still hasn’t had to learn to be responsible in an economical world that functions through jobs, currency, and self-sufficiency (and he’ll probably never have to, since the Avatar title rewards him with free-loading hospitality anywhere he goes).  When Katara someone isn’t willing to cook for him, Aang’s instinct is to dumpster-dive for lettuce, as seen in the S.3. episode “The Headband”.  This is also the episode where, not only is Katara comfortable enough to dress up as Aang’s (pregnant!) mom, but Aang gleefully shows off his grade-school crafting skills with dried-macaroni collage artwork of Ozai-- you know, the kind that children usually give to their parents to proudly post on the refrigerator?  And this wasn’t sweet-innocent doe-eyed Aang from Season 1.  This was kid-emotionally-processing-some-real-world-shit-Season 3 Aang.  His maturity was still lacking.  And let’s not forget that, before the iceberg... the most horrifying thing Aang had to deal with was cleaning his own room.
Aang was 12, going on 8.
Even in the final scene of the show, Aang is still that kid, sitting on the ground and playfully teasing his pet lemur with a toy while the older teens mingle with tea and paintings and critical-thinking games like PaiSho.
The maturity gap was very much present through the end.
And I have a hard time believing Aang even knew what a vagina was, by the time he and Katara french-kissed in the finale.
Look.  The point is not whether or not Aang did know.  The point is, you, a hypothetical Kataang fan... had to stop for a moment to consider that.
And that’s what makes Kataang weird.
Now excuse me while I grab some more wallpaper glue. :P

I've been given permission to go "balls to the wall" on my spelljammer character and boy howdy am I going to do that!! :3
Backstory
A former honour guard, Eris worked primarily on guarding diplomats and politicians on the Astral Plane. After many decades of service, they were chosen for a special position as an out-of-plane bodyguard for a member of royalty.
The royal had a number of other companions and together, they travelled across Wildspace, visiting various worlds on a prolonged diplomatic mission. There were various dangers along the way, from attempted kidnappings and assassinations to failed negotiations to even alien diseases.
While Eris was able to make real connections with the diplomatic party (outside of short assignments and distant comrades), they also came to realise that they'd had a relatively sheltered life in the honour guard, compared to the lives that many people lived outside of the Astral Plane.
Eris finally experienced the grief that comes with befriending those with shorter-lifespans, watching as they grew old while they barely aged. After a number of losses, due to a mixture of increased attacks, Eris found themselves falling into a depression.
It reached a tipping point when the royal they'd travelled with had to call their diplomatic mission to a close, due to contracting an alien disease with no cure. Eris stayed by their side until they passed, after which they resigned from the honour guard.
They chose to wander the Astral Sea afterwards, looking for a way to deal with the boundless grief that had grown inside them. Rather than process it, Eris chose to ignore it and look for distractions, finding the bodies of dead gods and learning to paint with the stars.
For the most part, they avoided the dominions of deities but from time to time, would find themselves drawn towards them. These visits were brief and rarely fruitful but one interaction with a god gave them a new perspective on some of the events that took place on the diplomatic tour.
Eris was eventually found by Vhoez, a githyanki star seer and descendant of one of Eris' comrades from their time in the honour guard, who had noticed that nobody had heard from them for a concerning amount of time and tracked them down. In that time, Eris had seemed to be a shadow of their former self, having "faded away" in the many, many years they'd spent alone in the Astral Sea.
Vhoez bullied convinced Eris to leave the Astral Sea and find a new purpose in life, as they'd lost all direction. Which is how they join the party, yippee!
Extra Facts
Eris has eisoptrophobia - a fear of their reflection! This manifests in them avoiding mirrors and reflective surfaces or attempting to cover up or break them (often in times of stress or where it is otherwise unavoidable).
This developed due to wearing their helm for almost every waking moment of the day. It worsened after the royal perished.
Their primary concern with clothing in the current day is comfort. When adrift in the Astral Sea, there was no point to them wearing shoes and this is one of the few things they struggle to remember to put on.
They forget details easily, particularly names and dates. They also tend to "drift off" and get distracted, sometimes humming or singing to themselves.
Their alcoholic beverage of choice is red wine. In an alternate universe, they are tanning by the pool at an all-inclusive resort and drinking sangria while Jimmy Buffet plays in the background.
They picked up a number of solitary hobbies, primarily singing, painting and fishing in the Astral Sea.
I still haven't picked a voice out for them but I need to figure something out otherwise I'm going to panic and do Perseus' voice again.
My DM said I could go wild with my character as a "gift to a forever DM" which made me go 🥺

SSR Cater Diamond Halloween Personal Story: Part 2
"What a bunch of lies"
(Part 1) Part 2 (Part 3)
Tumblr media
[Classroom]
Kalim/Cater/Lilia: Siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh~~~ So tireddddddd~~~
Cater: This year's Halloween's way too crazy. Especially 'cause of the guests all being so rowdy…
Kalim: I like entertaining guests and all, but Jamil's mood's gotten so bad that it's terrible.
Lilia: Even we're totally exhausted and we're supposed to be the three peppiest boys here. Most of the other students must already be at their limit.
Kalim/Cater/Lilia: Siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh~~~
Cater: Well anyway, it's great that we ended up having all of the Pop Music Club members on the Halloween Steering Committee.
Cater: Let's have one of our club's customary snack breaks, while we strategize some countermeasures.
Kalim/Lilia: AYE, AYE~!
Cater: Ta-daa, I brought this. It's Trey-kun's handmade pumpkin pie! It's my absolute fave, 'cause it's not too sweet ♪
Kalim: I brought a knafeh. It's a type of cheesecake from Scalding Sands. It tastes best when it's eaten hot!
Lilia: Oho. You both brought stuff that suits Halloween, I see. And here, last, but not least, here's what I brought.
Lilia: Licorice candy!
Cater: That's the same thing you always bring!! Both me and Kalim already told you we don't really like it.
Kalim: Yeah, it's got a little too strong of a smell, it makes my nose crinkle~
Cater: But hey, I guess it's black, so it's got a kind of Halloween feel to it.
Cater: Oh yeah. Let's take a picture of the three of us together. It'd be great to show off how good we look with our Halloween costumes and sweets.
Cater: 'KAY, HAPPY HALLOWEEN ☆

Cater: #TheBestHalloween☆ #OurCostumes #OurTreats #PopMusicClub #NRCHalloween
Kalim: The best? Weren't you just saying you were super exhausted, Cater?
Cater: I mean, I'm not lying when I say I'm excited, either, and it's better to be more peppy when posting online.
Lilia: That's the spirit, Cater. This is the age where you can connect to anyone in the world. It's better to spread happiness, rather than complaints.
Cater: Oh! I'm getting some good responses on that picture I just uploaded to Magicam!

Cater: It's a message from that person again. Were they always this persistent?
♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪
Cater: Now they're calling. So persistent…
Kalim: Oh, is that a friend, Cater? You can answer it here if you want.
Cater: Hmm~ …More like an old acquaintance? But it's fine. 'Cause we're in a super important meeting right now, anyway!
Lilia: All we're doing is eating snacks and taking pictures to upload to Magicam, however…
Cater: We're in that age where we can connect with people whenever we want, right? So I can't be fielding calls in real time all the time, y'know.
Kalim: Wow, you get that many people calling you all the time? Man, you're really a social butterfly, Cater~
Cater: Eh, I guess, if you think that's what it means to have a wide circle of acquaintances?
Cater: My father works as a banker, you see. And banks have branches all over the world.
Cater: So, whenever my dad got transfer orders, the whole family had to move.
Cater: We probably moved about once every two years or so, so I guess you could say I'm a pro at packing, or something like that?
Lilia: We were always one of those families that never settled down.
Kalim: So, when you were younger, you traveled all over the world, huh. Well, I totally see how you made so many friends, then.
Cater: Yeah, that person who messaged me earlier also considered me a friend, I guess.
Cater: I definitely met more people changing schools in such a short amount of time like that, than I would have if I stayed in one place.
Cater: The best kinds of people, and the worst kinds of people… I met 'em all. But there was always just one thing in common.
Kalim/Lilia: ……?
Cater: I would leave there eventually, and they'd all stay.
Cater: That's why instead of a down-to-earth relationship with someone, I'd rather just have a casual and happy-go-lucky relationship with everyone.
Cater: Kind of like those circus guys who'll come in for a whirlwind of fun with people all around the world, and then leave when it's done.
Cater: That's why Magicam's real neat. I even can get messages from people I knew in school three years ago.
Cater: I'm able to make more and more casual and light friendships, y'see? Now that's Cay-kun approved ☆
Kalim: I don't think you gotta restrain yourself, just 'cause you're far away from them, do you?
Kalim: Oh, I got an idea! I'll lend you my magical carpet. That way you can go see your friend anytime you want.
Cater: … Thanks, Kalim-kun. Maybe I'll use it one day?
Lilia: ―I think I understand you.
Cater: Huh?
Lilia: The bonds built between people will never disappear. It continues on forever.
Lilia: And sometime in your future, new bonds will develop that you cannot avoid. That is just what happens.
Lilia: However, the more important a bond you carry with someone, the lonelier it will feel without them.
Lilia: Why do we feel this way? I've lived quite a long life, and yet it's still shrouded in mystery to me.
Lilia: Just as you professed earlier, Cater, perhaps one truth to it all is to avoid becoming too attached to certain people.
Cater: Lilia-chan, what just came over you? No, what I wanted to say was―
♪♪♪♪♪♪
Lilia: Hello, it's Lilia-chan. What's up?
Cater: Man, he's just super alright with answering the phone in the middle of a conversation, huh.
Lilia: Oh, Sebek. What's going on? Why are you shouting? I'm in a meeting with Cater and Kalim right now.
Lilia: WHAT!? MALLEUS IS WHAT―!?

Hi R 🌈
I recently discovered an crazy theory about GGDD dating during DD days with uniq which completely blown my mind to be honest. Is there any CPN's behind this rumor or is it just an another fanfiction. As much as I'm convinced that BJYXSZD GGDD dating during Dad's idol days kind look far fetched to me.
Have a nice day rain ლ(・﹏・ლ)
Hi Anon!
Tumblr media
Ah, you've stumbled across The Devil's Timeline, an interesting and often controversial theory that's been a part of the fandom for a very long time...
Fake, fan fiction, CPN.
Before I Start
There are some really aggressive people who always respond to these types of discussions in a hateful way, because of the implications of GG dating a younger DD (for example, in 2016 DD would have been 18-19 and GG would have been 24-25). It's called 'The Devil's Timeline' for a reason. If you don't like it, DON'T READ. It's really that simple.
And frankly, if you think it's crazy, outrageous and wrong for an 18 year old to be dating a 24 year old, you're not living in the real world. This is not an unusual age gap, especially between men.
Ultimately this is clowning and CPN. Not meant to be taken seriously.
Any adversarial anons will be blocked.
So What's the Theory?
Basically the theory is that GG and DD have been together for a lot longer than the generally accepted fan canon (fan canon tends to revolve around the idea that they got together during or shortly after filming The Untamed).
The Devil's Timeline doesn't have any specific set dates/times. It encompasses any timeline where GG and DD started dating prior to filming. Some people feel they might have met and started dating as far back as mid-2015, others think it happened between the 2017 DDU episode and CQL filming. So a timeline such as the one I wrote a couple of years ago would fall under The Devil's Timeline just as much as ones that claim they got together in 2015.
What's the Evidence?
As far-fetched as it might seem, there are some 'coincidences' and signs that point to the possibility that GG and DD might have met a lot earlier than the widely accepted '2017 DDU episode' meeting. There have also been fake rumors and whispers about them being together a lot longer than they claim.
For a bit of background on this theory - @accio-victuuri wrote a post detailing some of the clues, and there's also a post from @p-h03n1-x talking about some interesting posts on DD's birthday in 2016.
I know I've seen other tidbits here and there over the years, and in a perfect world I'd dig for it all and put together my own comprehensive post on this, but my drafts folder just can't take another big project.
If you look at their behavior toward each other at the booting ceremony, prior to filming, and then you look at the table read and early filming, they went from 'complete and total strangers' to being very familiar with each other almost overnight. While their natural compatibility and unique rapport make it believable that they'd be quickly very comfortable with one another, that's just a bit too quick even with compatibility as extreme as theirs.
Another thing that keeps me going back to this theory again and again is their behavior both in the 2017 DDU episode and at the booting ceremony for The Untamed. Now that I'm familiar with them and how they act in various situations, their demeanour in both situations seems a bit 👀 to me. Unnatural for them.
What it reminds me a lot of - particularly the booting ceremony behavior - is their behavior during Weibo night, when they appeared to be consciously avoiding interacting with each other (you can read about why here). That tension and overcompensating 'I'm not looking over there' kind of attitude.
In most situations where 'strangers' are put into proximity with one another - even 'acquaintances' who are not deeply connected with one another - there is some amount of totally normal, totally natural human curiosity. The other person is treated as a presence in the room that would naturally draw the eye from time to time.
Not so with GG and DD during the booting ceremony. They were an artificial amount of 'detached' from one another. Standing right next to each other and not even exchanging polite words. Even when they're both struggling with the red silk, they don't exchange any words or glances.
It comes across to me as very odd behavior, especially from them. They're both SO POLITE around others, especially someone they're going to be working closely with. Their normal, natural response in a situation like that would be to look at the other person, reassure and assist them. Not here. They act like the other person isn't even standing there. Not normal behavior IMHO.
youtube
And compare that with Weibo Night. Their behavior has the same flavor, at least it does to me.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
CQL booting ceremony vs Weibo night: same energy.
Here's a video of the entire Weibo Night event. You can browse through to see how they were behaving toward each other. One example is at 1:41:30 when they go onstage to receive an award. There are also a lot of fancams from that night, you can browse around YouTube if you're curious.
youtube
During the DDU episode it's a lot harder to determine their demeanour toward each other because there's so much going on, so many other people around and the camera angles keep shifting, but there were a couple of things that caught my eye.
youtube
For one, notice at 27:00 when they're tiptoeing over the bamboo canes, when Wu Jiacheng crosses the canes he immediately steps back to the XNINE corner, while when GG crosses moments later, he naturally gravitates over to where DD is standing. 🤔
It's an automatic thing. Most people will gravitate to where they feel most comfortable in a room, just like when returning to the main area of a busy party after using the bathroom most people will head over to where their close friends or partner/spouse are standing. So in this case it's interesting that GG seems unconsciously more comfortable on DD's side of the stage than with his bandmates, even though standing over by DD means standing with the hosts of the show, which most people would feel incredibly uncomfortable doing.
Then at 32:00, when they're discussing the calligraphy tablets, GG and DD are standing next to each other in several shots. Maybe it's confirmation bias on my part, but they do not look like strangers in those shots. I can't point to any particular reason why.
And please take a moment at 4:52 to admire the adorkable way GG is frolicking while the rest of the boys are running. 🥹
Do I Believe It?
Although I go back and forth between popular canon theory (they got together during filming) and some form of The Devil's Timeline, in reality most of the time I see them as having been together long before filming. To me it's the best explanation for some of the inconsistencies we've seen, some of the behavior we've seen, etc.
You can check out my (very old, outdated) timeline post here. I make it pretty clear there that I think that they were together or at least well-acquainted with each other before filming. But given some of the BTS we've seen (and their married level of familiarity), I think it's possible or maybe even likely that they were together even earlier than what I claimed in that post.
How early? Maybe 2016. The DD's birthday posts are pretty interesting. A 20:23 kadian thanking for receiving some presents, on his birthday? 👀
And I do think the theory that they met 6/22 at a Uniq fanmeet* is an interesting one. Let's face it - 6/22 means something special to them. We know it. Could it be the day they met? It would fit.
*The rumor is that GG went to a fan meet in Guangzhou because he wanted to learn more about idols before going on XFIRE. That would have been in 2015, a couple months before XFIRE started, but I have not personally seen confirmation that such a fan meet happened on that day in that location (or that GG attended).
At the very least I think they were well-aquainted/dating between the 2017 DDU episode and CQL filming.
But I try not to restrict myself to any one particular theory. Ultimately we don't know, so why not explore different possibilities? I think it's interesting to view elements of their history through multiple different lenses, and see how those perspectives impact interpretation. I did this with my Japan trip post a while back. Since we'll probably never know for sure how or when it all started for them, why limit ourselves?
