Jack and Maddy as Justice League consultants
As the world's foremost experts on ectobiology the Fentons are an invaluable resource, and their activities probably count as vigilantism, but The JL never invited the couple as official JL members.
Officially this is due to the Fentons being so specialized in ghosts and ectobiology. The Fentons are brilliant scientists, that much is indisputable. With their skills in biology, radiology, and engineering they managed to quantify a form of magic and pioneer a whole new field of study.
It's just that they can get a little… absentminded.
This ends up a moot point when Fentons (believing that the JL was about to invite them to join) state that they intend to focus on studying ghosts. But don't worry they would be happy to help out with any ghost problems!
edit: got rid of the duplicated paragraphs, Super embarrassing!!!
The League first became entangled with the Fentons when a young sorcerer named Nicolas Edgar Nolan, more commonly known as Nick Necro, launched an attack on the members of the Justice League. He sought revenge on Giovanni Zatara for rejecting him as a student when the stage magician discovered that Nick had become involved with a dark cult.
Nick had managed to get his hands on a gauntlet that allowed him to create gremlin-like servants by sacrificing the lifeforce of other creatures. (Unbeknownst to him, the artifact's original owner, known only as the Overlord, was locked away within the gauntlet. With each additional minion the Overlord gains more influence over the user) The dark sorcerer had sent these creatures to attack the Justice League, thereby leaving Zatara without his allies.
The artifact is eventually identified by Zatara as the Gauntlet of Tyranny, one of many curios that could be found in the Infinity Realm. Due to the gauntlet’s nature, its creations had the same properties as those of the Infinity Realm’s denizens, making them very hard to defeat.
At least they were, until a couple of crackpot graduates from the University of Wisconsin-Madison came blasting onto the scene.
Like everyone else in the world, the recently married Fentons were paying close attention to broadcasts about the latest alien invasion. Of course the couple were able to recognize the ghostly origin of the minion’s powers, and the pair immediately packed up their home-made ghostbusting equipment and set out on the most important cross-country trip of their life! (Unfortunately there was no way for them to fly out as the airport security refused to let them bring their blasters onboard)
Since Zatara’s main place of residence was in Gotham, that's where Nick Necro focused his attacks. It's also the direction that Jack and Maddy’s prototype Fenton Finder points them towards.
The Fentons make their way to Gotham with a trail of defeated minions and property damage behind them. Along the way they encounter Flash, Hawkwoman, and Captain Atom. The Fentons supply the heroes with their prototype ecto-based weaponry. Unfortunately the scientists don't wait to explain anything so the heroes are left to figure out who that couple was and how the gadgets work.
Flash is given a glowing baton that pops the minions on contact. Unfortunately it’s battery cant hold a charge and Flash has to keep repowering it with his lightning.
Hawkwoman is frustrated when the hard light ecto-blade keeps fritzing out, but discovers the nth-metal of her mace stabilizes it.
Captain Atom gets a giant tuning fork to his confusion. Eventually he figures out that by channeling his power through it the nearby minions are forcibly gathered at the fork’s end, and he can take them all out with one blast.
Upon arriving at Gotham the Fentons make their way to the city’s last operating clinic, arriving just in time to save doctor Leslie Thompkins. Together they fortify the clinic and set up a shield that keeps out all ghostly beings.
Poor Batman hasn't gotten a break all week. A mystery enemy had been ambushing members of the League. By the time they identified the culprit as Nick Necro the man had been able to gather enough forces to launch a siege against America's largest cities, with a special focus on Gotham due to it being the home of Nick’s target, Giovanni Zatara. Now some unknown vigilanties were setting up base in his godmother's clinic. Sure the couple claim to want to help, but Batman didn't get this far by trusting people at face value. He interrogates them about everything,  why are you here, how do you know so much about the attackers, what are your devices, etc…
The Fentons are thrilled that this bat-themed fellow is so interested in their work and are happy to gush about it in between shooting minions. Batman is immediately given full access to their makeshift lab and equipment without so much as a thought to security or safety.
Baman begrudgingly teams up with the Fentons but will definitely do a more thorough (re: invasive) investigation on the Fentons later. But for now they cooperate to make a device that neutralizes the Gauntlet of Tyranny.
And that’s how it all started.
On one hand Jack and Maddie now have a support system of fellow scientists and vigilantes. On the other hand they are now heroes in the DCU.
Occasionally Jack and Maddie end up on comic book flavored adventures (I'm watching clips of Batman the Brave and the Bold while coming up with this). When they're gone the Fenton kids are usually looked after by their parents' work friends. Mr Terrific, Atom, Swamp Thing, Barry Allen, etc. At some point 12 yr old Dick ends up babysitting 6 yr old Jazz and 4 yr old Danny.

Some Stephanie Brown & Jason Todd fics that got me back into DC and batman.
Just Another Kid by shobogan
Stephanie is Jason's best friend. She's about to discover that she's Robin's, too.
‘Too Young To Be Taken Seriously, Too Old To Believe All This Hypocrisy’ by Hinn_Raven
When Crystal Brown goes into rehab, leaving Stephanie in the sole custody of her father, Steph decides to run away from home, and meets Jason Todd, who decides that she is the best little sister ever.
or: "the dark knight is beaten up by children on the anniversary of his parents death... tragic"
know your enemy by Valkirin
Jason Todd thought he was ready for anything when he headed to Titans Tower to have a talk with Robin. He was not ready for Stephanie Brown.
Ghostgirl and Zomboy by shauds
Ghostgirl and Zomboy"Stephanie I swear to god." Jason growled deep in his throat, his hands tightening on his sniper rifle, his useless sniper rifle. Because he couldn't see the target he'd been preparing all well to send to hell. 'Again.'
"You don't make demands of the ghost, asshole, the ghost makes demands of you." He should have known better than to make his big comeback in October
Third Robin Tales Series by weekend_conspiracy_theorist
Currently a series of semi-connected scenes within a world where Bruce encountered Stephanie as Spoiler before Tim decided that if no one else was going to be Robin, then he had to. Tim and Steph found each other anyway.
Bruce didn't find out that his Robin was running rooftops with a random civilian until six years later, when the Red Hood and Oracle started poking around at Gotham's newest Private Investigator...
No Jason here but adding these anyway for the incredible writing.
New Wave by yellow_caballero
Some lunatic in a bat costume is running around Gotham clowning on fools, but local delinquent Stephanie Brown has way bigger problems. When her father and friends start joining mob wars Steph knows she has to do something about it before Gotham collapses. If that means joining up with rich dudes playing dress up, pasty nerds with hacking and photography habits, and throwing on a costume herself, then that’s just what she’ll have to do. Even if Batman works alone. She’s convincing.
In which Stephanie Brown rocks the radical nineties and becomes the first Robin, ruining Batman’s life and giving Tim Drake a hobby.
Never Get You Right by audreycritter
When Stephanie Brown was little, she would sit on her roof and watch the sky and wish that Batman would come save her. Then one day, he did.

Since this is a team of hypercompetent detectives we can't keep them in the dark forever. The younger bats especially would have no way to explain the bigger differences without suspecting at least one other person time traveled. That being said, Bruce would be the last to figure it out. He keeps rationalizing the differences as a result of his own actions because that's who he is as a person.
Let's assume they were sent back to a few years after Damian was born. Poor baby bat has it the worst being stuck as a preschooler, but at least he's not a literal infant.
Dick would have been 17-18 by then so this could be right after he's been shot and Batman fires Robin. Last time around Dick ran away while Batman was on patrol, here he's taking some time to go over the new memories when Bruce suddenly comes back early and starts apologizing.
Bruce thinks Dick stays because of the apology, Dick thinks that if he had just stuck around a little longer the first time he would have gotten to hear the apology.
The two spend a week awkwardly tip-toeing around each other while Alfred and Barbara both do their level best to get the dynamic duo into therapy.
Speaking of, Alfred starts going out a lot more. He claims that the current stock found in their usual grocery stores have gotten a bit lackluster lately and he's searching for potential replacements. Bruce doesn't question it (he's busy patching things up with Dick and tracking down his future kids) but then some kid named Jason helped Alfred when some muggers tried to attack him and agreed to help carry the food in and wouldn't you know it but Alfred already had a room set up 'just in case.'
Alfred was relieved to have found his second grandson so quickly, he thought he would have to spend longer 'looking for new shops'. Jason just wanted to check up on his granddad before running off to kill future problems, but the Wayne adoption trap strikes again.
The first time he tries to sneak out Dick catches him. From there it's almost a competition between Goldie and Bruce to see who could bond more with Jason. Complaints of boredom? Dick teaches him acrobatics in the gym. Want to go out? Bruce books the best seats in Gotham’s largest theater. Sick of their presence? Sure, we’ll give you some alone time with the library. Somehow both Bruce and Dick seem to know exactly what to say to distract him from leaving, which is weird because Jasons pretty sure that Dick should have left by now. Sure he still goes out with the Titans, and it looks like he's starting the transition to Nightwing, but overall the manor seems more crowded than last time around.
Wait a minute.
Oh god, are they bonding over Jason?
Did his attempt to check in on Alfred somehow trigger this??
….
And I think I’ll leave it there for now. I've got some more ideas for Barbara and Tim running into each other online, as well as Kate Kain picking up Cassandra. Stephanie and Harper may or may not take over a gang. Eight year old Duke takes his visions of the future as a sign to start training, and five year old Damian is upsetti-spaghetti.
Bruce has a conspiracy board set up trying to figure out how he caused all these changes.
"au where (insert one Bat here) gets sent back in time" delicious.
but also give me "au where (insert Bat here) is sent back in time and has no idea ALL of the other Bats were also sent back in time because they ALL think they were the only ones and not a single one is telling the others and it creates the most hilarious dynamic where shit keeps changing (because they all want to save their family, friends, etc. from pain/create a new life for themselves where at least their family is happy and stable) and the everyone is slowly going fucking nuts trying to figure out why their family isn't doing the same thing they had done before in the previous timeline"
Bruce: i have to save my children from every bad thing that ever happened to them and I will BE a better father this time. i read so many books and i went to therapy... i should continue therapy. maybe i can save some of the rogues from themselves while i'm at it. hey why are my kids acting weirder than usual did i break them? dick is not as angry as i remember, jason doesn't want to be robin even a little bit, tim is actively avoiding me and my family, cass is chasing tim, damian is far less murderous than he should be... i know i begged talia to let me raise him earlier but i feel like he's adjusting to this easier than he should be... and duke doesn't even have a reason to be here yet but i'm not complaining?
at least steph is normal. i don't know why she's here far ealier than before but she's stealing my food and using the credit card i gave her with reckless abandon but that's normal and good
the kids: what the FUCK is up with B?

Danny never understood the grandmotherly urge to feed people until he met Tim Drake.
Tim summoned a demon to trade his soul for Jason Todd's revival. Danny isn't a demon, and he didn't tell Tim that, but he's also not about to leave some kid all alone with criminally neglectful parents.
Tim summons Danny, Danny appears in his Infinite Realms High Prince gear, taking care to be ever so slightly eldritch in case it's the GIW trying to summon him again.
Tim offers his soul for Danny to bring Jason Todd back to life.
Danny...isn't a demon, and has no ability to bring someone back. He does, however, recognize the half formed ghost floating behind Tim and screaming at Danny to fuck off as a baby halfa. More than likely, the soul got split from the body, and lost.
So he leans over, taps the scared and angry ghost-kid on the forehead to give him an ecto-boost (enough so that he'll have the energy to detach himself from the other kid and instinctively be drawn to his own body again), and pretends to make a deal.
Tim has to summon him and talk to him about his life once a week for three years. If after those three years Danny feel that the information provided is not sufficient (in other words if he feels that Tim's living situation still isn't great), Danny will collect Tim.
Three years pass, and Tim's reports are...concerning.
Danny isn't super convinced Tim's living situation isn't not the best.
So, on the dawn of the third year, in front of the entirety of Young Justice as they were having a get-together, Danny tears open a rift and grabs Tim by the cape.
"It is time to uphold your deal," Is all the information Danny gives before he yoinks Tim into the Infinite Realms.
He didn't really have time to explain more, honestly, he was running late for a meeting with the Observants, political education lessons with Ghost Writer, and also he had to prepare for family dinner. Lunch. Linner? Whatever.
He makes quick work of shoving Tim into a room, telling him it's his, and setting Dani loose on him. She's thrilled to be an Aunt and has the energy to match Tim's tenaciousness, she'll be able to keep him out of trouble until Danny can finalize the adoption tomorrow.
Meanwhile, Young Justice is Freaking The Fuck Out.

I was a teenager when I first found out about Steph by googeling 'female robin' and spent years assuming she was an alternate timeline Robin, like Carrie Kelley. Most of my DC content was cartoons and animated movies so there was nothing about her there and I had to learn about her through fan works.
She got me into post-crisis comics and I'm a better person for it.
Stephanie Brown Early Days Part 2
Tumblr media
Honestly one of the best things about Steph and Tim’s dynamic was that she 100% knew Tim was not remotely cool or intimidating and mocked him relentlessly whenever he tried to pretend he was.
Tumblr media
Also Steph and Connor teamed up and were adorable everyone just needs to know that.
Tumblr media
DRAG. HIM.
( God i always forget how fucking obnoxious Tim was about Steph being a vigilante early on. I remember at one point someone wrote in like “what is with Tim’s macho bullshit why is he always telling Steph to quit it’s sexist” and the editor was like “he learned it from Batman” THANKS WE KNOW.)
Tumblr media
this is like the most 90s Steph panel ever.
Tumblr media
I honestly hope she made good on that and made Bruce write her a full recommendation letter she deserves it. “I need you to put “can sneak up on Batman” like at the top in bold” “I said ALMOST” “Bruce you have to actually be honest in these things”
Tumblr media
this whole storyline was…flawed…in a lot of ways but there’s nothing about this page that is not amazing.Like “Boy Virgin” is the most accurate nickname for Tim ever, they really should have changed his title’s tagline, well done Steph. I also love that she felt she genuinely had to explain to him kissing does not makes babies, like there’s a chance he genuinely doesn’t know that, knowing Tim.
Tumblr media
I rag on Tim and Steph as a ship a lot these days (rightly, he really was VERY obnoxious to her so much of the time, god Tim, i still like you but you make it very hard), and I know the general consensus is Tim is gay, and honestly yeah he pretty much definitely is either that or aro-ace…but there WERE times they were really cute, and I think outside of when Jon Lewis wrote them, the time their relationship was at its best and most supportive was during the whole pregnancy storyline. There’s not really many fifteen year old boys that would handle their girlfriend being pregnant from a previous relationship maturely and well, but Tim was really supportive and (except for butting in and explaining all the reasons why she shouldn’t keep it at one point) non-judgmental and sweet. He really tried hard to be there for her, he even…well…
Tumblr media
I just want to point out that when Tim comes in to be there for Steph while she’s giving birth he doesn’t just like, find some sort of civilian disguise like a normal human being would ((he could have easily gotten one without any delay since the Flash was with him) no. he PUTS ON MEDICAL SCRUBS BUT CONTINUES WEARING HIS COSTUME UNDERNEATH, PRETENDING HE’S ONE OF THE MEDICAL STAFF. We honestly never see what becomes of this but like, did none of the doctors find it suspicious a fifteen year old boy very obviously wearing a robin costume under his scrubs was here? did Tim not get ejected at any point during the birthing process? did he seriously stay through the whole thing trying to pretend he was a medical professional?? did it all break when he actually saw the baby’s head coming out and have to leave to throw up? Or maybe even before that, like he realized he was going to have to see a vagina and just fainted? HOW DID THIS ALL GO DOWN, I WANT TO KNOW BUT THE COMIC JUST SKIPS OVER IT?
anyway. to be continued.

love seeing a batgirls-centric au thats so fleshed out!
i love your reverse batgirl au!! do you mind writing more about them?
Okay so after going through the post I realized I wrote it at 2 am, so I'm going to simply rewrite it and then add more if that's okay <3
AU where Bruce adopts Barbara, Steph, Cass and Harper instead of the batboys - Batdaughters: Origins
Would like to start by saying: Damian never exists; Bruce doesn’t sleep with Talia because he's aroace in this universe no I don't make the rules he just is
Barbara Gordon is adopted by Jim Gordon after his brother and his sister in law, Barbara’s parents, die (as per canon.) When she’s six, he's killed by the Joker, who forces Barbara to watch. Bruce is too late to save Gordon and puts the blame for his death on himself, so he tries to atone by giving Barbara a home. Raising a daughter keeps him busy so he doesn’t visit Haley’s circus when it visits Gotham. Dick’s parents fall to the floor, and instead of Bruce, the Court of Owls take him in.
When Babs is 16, Bruce adopts Stephanie Brown. Steph’s father is Cluemaster but he’s put in Arkham early in her childhood. Stephanie’s mother is unable to overcome her addiction to pharmaceuticals (unlike in canon where she does overcome this) and this ends in her death. 11 year old Stephanie runs away from her social worker and ends up finding the batmobile in an alley. She hides under the car and her social worker passes by, but when Batman arrives she jumps out to avoid getting run over. He tries to take her back to foster care but she throws a brick at him and runs. Bruce decides to adopt her once he finds out her father is cluemaster, and when he takes her for waffles she agrees to ‘let him’ adopt her.
Harper Row is taken away from her alcoholic father when she’s 9 and is the only kid to actually end up with Bruce in a normal way. He’s officially a foster parent and she’s placed with him through the system. She tells Bruce that she has a brother, Cullen, who she hasn’t seen since being taken away from her father but Bruce is unable to figure out where he’d gone. Cullen was never registered in the foster care database and none of the workers that picked up Harper recalled there being another child.
When the Justice League encounters Lady Shiva a year later, she fights them and defeats Batman, but the combined forces of Wonder Woman and Superman force her capture and she’s questioned under the lasso. She tells them about her origin and that a man named David Cain had her biological daughter and was training her to be an assassin. Batman realizes that the daughter in question is still only 8, and adds her and David to his search for Cullen. He finds her being trained by David to be a ruthless killer and rescues her. He realizes that she’s mute and deadly and can’t grow up in a regular foster system so he takes her home with him.
Babs becomes Batgirl at 14, but is paralyzed at 17, a year after Steph joins the family. Then she takes the moniker oracle.
When Steph is older she doesn’t feel right taking on the batgirl name, so she becomes Robin. Steph and Bruce have a falling out when Bruce calls her reckless in the field and benches her so she distances herself from him and becomes Spoiler. She meets a kid named Tim in university who was emancipated from his parents when he was 16 and discovers that since he was a kid, he’s tried to follow batman and robin’s footsteps by fighting crime at night in a red domino and black clothes. Steph reveals that she was the Robin that Tim used to watch at night and takes him on as her partner, eventually training him to be a third Robin, one who was never trained by Batman: Red Robin.
At the same time, Harper spends years trying to find her brother, Cullen. She fights crime to find her brother without telling Bruce at first, taking on the codename Bluebird. When he finds out, Bruce takes her on as his partner, not his sidekick, which drives a wedge between her and Steph.
Cass had decided to live a normal life after having the choice taken away from her when she was young, but an attack on her school causes her to fight off a bunch of the rogue gallery to the point of near-death. She holds them off long enough for her school to evacuate and run. After she survives this, Barbara reaches out to her and tells her that if she ever wants it, the mantle of batgirl is there for her. Cass refuses it at first but takes it when she turns 15, deciding to train again, but this time to defend Gotham, and not kill. She becomes batgirl at 16.
Steph and Tim both join young justice and Babs was a part of the Teen Titans before being paralyzed.
When Bruce ‘dies’ for half a year, Cass gives the mantle of Batgirl to Steph and moves to Hong Kong to become Black Bat.
Harper moves in with Steph and befriends Tim, who believes that Bruce is alive. Nobody takes the mantle of Batman after Bruce’s ‘death.’
After he is rescued by Tim and Steph, Bruce returns to Gotham. Cass returns to be Black Bat and Steph goes back to being Spoiler, and Bruce and Steph finally reconcile.
They find out that Cullen was taken by the Court of Owls and turned into a Talon, and when they try to rescue him, they discover that a second Talon had taken a liking to him and was protecting him from the batfamily, seeing them as enemies.
So of course they take both Talons home. Bruce discovers that the second Talon is Dick Grayson and with Martian Manhunter’s help, they help them learn how to be human again.
Dick takes Cullen to live by themselves in a quiet area of Gotham, and Bruce leaves them be, knowing that they deserve to lead normal lives without continuing to be entangled in the batfamily. Only Harper visits.
At the same time, a new crime lord pops up, claiming to go by the red hood. Bruce fears another Joker situation and finds Red Hood to interrogate him and finds out that his name is Jason Todd. Jason, forced to work as a goon for two-face to earn money to support his mother, was a hostage of the Joker and beaten almost to death before Batman saved him, but he was too late to save Jason's mother. (we're ignoring the biological mother plot point here.) He wants to drive Batman to finally break his code and kill so that he’ll kill the Joker. After a fight between them that almost ends in Jason dying, Batman backs off and doesn’t turn him into the police. The Red Hood kills the Joker, but realizes that it didn't change anything. He almost turns the gun on himself but Bruce stops him. Bruce promises to leave him alone, acknowledging that Crime Alley is his territory, as long as he gives them information on a major trafficking ring in Gotham. Jason agrees and together they take the ring down.
After the Red Hood saves Cass from the collapse of a building, he and Cass strike up a tentative friendship. He becomes an anti-hero after sending the criminal underground into a civil war, ensuring the destruction of some of the larger crime families in Gotham. Then he becomes an ally of the batfamily, but still kills.
Duke's story is similar to canon except his parents are cured from the Joker Virus. He still joins the batfamily as the signal, and eventually joins the Outsiders team with Cass.
Send me asks if you want me to go into more detail with a part of this au!

In Bruce’s defense, anyone who blames him for putting his children in the line of fire does not like…get his children.
Bruce adopting and training these kids is absolutely the only thing standing between them and even EARLIER deaths than the ones in canon that they all basically just…refuse to let stick.
Like, these are six incredibly determined little dumbasses.
Dick Grayson: breaks out of juvie and runs around rooftops tracking down the mob boss that ordered his parents killed in order to ruthlessly avenge them when he’s EIGHT.
Jason Todd: at age twelve, is caught stealing the tires off the goddamn BATMOBILE and upon being caught, his first instinct is NOT flight, its HIT THE GODDAMN BATMAN WITH HIS TIRE IRON.
Tim Drake: as early as age ten, spends his free time running around Gotham’s rooftops and back alleys stalking Batman and Robin with his clunky camera and absolutely no prior experience or training in either acrobatics or surviving Gotham’s back alleys.
Cassandra Cain: Upon learning Lady Shiva is her mother, ignores Batman yelling CASSANDRA NO and tracks down the most lethal and feared woman on the planet and bullies her into training her further, with Shiva going okay but then we gotta battle to the death and Cassandra going sure, makes sense, when do we start.
Damian Wayne: Early in life, is ordered to hunt and fight a bunch of dragon-type creatures. Adopts one as his pet. Finally meets his father, who does not trust him. Steals the Batmobile. Is fired from Robin and forbidden to leave the Manor for his protection while there’s a hit on his life. Calls himself Redbird and resumes Robin duties, citing that he was only forbidden from leaving as ROBIN, specifically. Is sent home during an attack on the city by a zombie army. Turns around and wades into the zombie army on his own. Etc, etc.
Duke Thomas: At age ten, the Riddler shuts down all the power in Gotham and says he’ll only restore it if bested with a riddle. Duke hears this and decides, this is a job for…Duke Thomas. Around age fifteen, he’s put in the foster system after his parents are affected by the Joker’s mind-altering gas during an attack, hears that some of the Joker’s victims have been found wandering around the sewer system that’s noted for being home to like….a cannibalistic crocodile villain, among other things, thinks well, guess I gotta go personally cover every inch of Gotham’s sewers on my own, by foot. Accidentally stumbles across a plot to bomb all of Gotham and decides, this is a job for…Duke Thomas. Etc, etc.
In summation, the Batkids’ shared family trait is Absolute Dumbassery and a Willful Disregard for Self-Preservation, and no, they do not accept constructive criticism. Bruce’s training them all as his partners was 40% fatalism, 60% Hail Mary.
He actually tried getting Dick to choose colors for his costume that would actually blend into the shadows, and eight year old Dick went nah, I’m gonna stick with bright red, yellow and green, thanks though.
He actually tried teaching Jason Todd how to prioritize speed and evasion against bigger opponents, and 5′4″ Jason Todd went nah, I’m just gonna punch ‘em, thanks though.
He actually tried sending Tim home when Tim first showed up, and Tim went nah, I’m just not gonna do that, thanks though.
He actually tried getting Cassandra to be more careful and selective about inserting herself into every single dangerous situation she came across, and Cass went, sorry, lost my phone when I weaponized it against the bad guys and also I’m in Hong Kong right now about to face off with my killer mom, see ya when I get back, bye.
He actually tried benching Damian repeatedly, and Damian went, LOL. No.
He actually tried stressing to Duke the importance of leaving dangerous situations to the professionals, and Duke kept showing up at every dangerous situation in Gotham and being like oh hey, so weird we keep running into each other.
Every time another adult hero clucks at Bruce disapprovingly and says he really should’ve kept his kids out of the hero life, Bruce’s eye twitches and he grinds out: “Oh gee. If only I’d thought of that.”

We joke about Bruce and Jason having very similar body types since the pit
But what if Gotham citizens have NO idea who Batman is, but they are pretty sure Red Hood is Bruce Wayne.
Consensus is that Bruce snapped one day at the villains that try to dismantle everything he works towards, so he just started shooting.

Shrimp??? 🍤
who put shrimp in my utility belt
I mean it. We’re not going out until someone tells me who did it.
This behavior is unacceptable. This is disgusting.
Well? I’m waiting. Someone has to know who did this.
I’m serious. Who put the goddamned shrimp in here? No, no, we’re not leaving yet. Get back here. Do you think I’m joking? Do I look amused? We’re all staying right here until one of you comes forward.
I can’t believe the disrespect I have to put up with from this family
Shrimp?!
Fine, you know what? Now no one gets to go out. We’re all staying right here in the cave. How do you feel about that? Are you satisfied with yourselves? Condiment King is pouring mustard all over city hall and we’re stuck here because of your bad choices.

DPxDC Ghost Zone Amity AU Part 1
Part 2    Part 3   Part 4   AO3
Edit: Finally got around to uploading this to AO3, link above.
What if Amity Park got stuck in the ghost zone after it was teleported? The city doesn’t return on its own after Pariah Dark is defeated. Without knowing how to get the whole city back to the living world, Danny tries to evacuate the residents but most Amity Parkers don’t really want to leave. Some people do, but many decide to stay. After all, Amity Park is their home, and the idea of having to start over somewhere new isn’t very appealing. So the town, for the most part, stays the same. Life continues like normal.
They have to figure out how to get necessities. At first, they trade for things they need across dimensions. But slowly, they start to get more self-sufficient.
Food? After some trial and error, the community, led by Sam, finds some crops that will grow in the GZ. A lot of homes that have the space start looking after chickens, goats, pigs, and the occasional cow. Although, the cows are used for milk. Not enough of them to have a beef industry anymore. (Nasty Burger comes out with a wicked meat alternative burger that even Tucker has to admit tastes pretty close to beef. Even if it takes a LOOOOOONG time to convince him to try it.)
Electricity? Technus and Tucker can rig a way to get power long-term using ambient ectoplasm. Tucker even manages to develop a way to get wifi I the GZ, but it tends to be temperamental and not the most reliable.
