So when I was young and bright eyed my first stab at a career was becoming a watchmaker. I still enjoy the field of horology, an aging collection of the clockwork and timepieces scattered around my home. It's so delicate for metal, hair-like wires and thin gear stems, if you don't have a gentle hand you'll break every watch and if you can't apply force precision you may never get it back together. I failed my entry test the first time because we snapped a stem during reassembly. but we did get it the second time. It was in that learning that I became proficient in using a whetstone, grinding the side of a steel file until it was a mirror finished straightedge, no warping or scratches. But we did fail to become a fully fledged watchmaker for a very important reason. This body can't help but make marks, little reminders that we had a hold that is so damnable to scrub away. For the brass, steel, and silver of clockwork that meant one terrible thing, Corrosion. We had ultrasonic bathes and pressurized steam-cleaning working on scrubbing everything off any project I ever touched yet miraculously 24 hours later there would be my fingerprint in its permanent grip. I went from student to fox in the henhouse overnight, a danger to any of their precious delicate clockwork, hiding in plain sight. So I abandoned the profession. I still keep a grandfather clock in working order, stained in our rusty fingerprints, our hold eating into the metal. And I do love working on cute little clockwork doll, but I've been told they can still feel my fingers digging into their mechanisms. I'm afraid I just can't let go, I want it to be mine always

Yes, Raph is, indeed, the GOODEST of boys! 💖 Hmmm, what anime would Raph watch? A good rom-com for sure, something like "Lovely Complex."

(Donnie would hate it! Mikey and Leo would enjoy the comedy, and Raph would be completely enthralled throughout, lol) As far as his favorite Studio Ghibli film, it would HAVE to be "Whisper of the Heart."

He would be all over that sappy stuff.
