Kristal literally called him boring and Aiden is literally Normal like he's surrounded by crazy ass mfs so naturally I gave him a normal type. He's vlogging and doing tiktoks during battle and posing for every picture ever. He's electrifying and dazzling and I imagine his partner is an oricorio or like. Something similar. I was fond of him having a chatot but idk... I like to think he's from Alola originally bc Paldea doesn't count for Brazil seeing as Pokémon like quaxly are foreign to there... so I think originally from Alola works ! You lifted your head from the book you were currently reading, finding James Potter standing at the end of the bed with his nose scrunched up as he took in the sight of you laying on his best friend’s bed. With said best friend currently lying on top of you with his head on your stomach, your shirt (or, really, his shirt) pushed up to expose your torso.

“Leave them alone,” Remus called out from his bed, his tone blunt and unbothered.

“Jealous I stole your boyfriend, Potter?” You teased, a shit-eating grin on your face.

“No,” he huffed, crossing his arms over his chest but his eyes narrowed at the way the two of you were tangled up together. “You have your own room, you know.”

You raised your brows. “Is that your subtle way of trying to kick me out?”

Sirius let out a noise of disagreement. “She’s staying, Prongs, get over it.”

“It was more a subtle way of telling you both to take your weird, cuddly shit somewhere else so I don’t have to be affronted with it every time I come in,” James corrected. 

“We are literally just chilling here,” you retorted.

“It’s basically foreplay,” James grumbled in response. “I cuddle with Pads all the time and we never have this much skin touching.”

You grinned. “You sound jealous again.”

“I am not jealous!” James huffed before turning to look at Remus for some help. “C’mon, back me up here, Moony.”

Remus turned to glance over at you and Sirius, his eyes darting over the way your bodies were entangled like you were one person. He noted the way Sirius’ nose brushed up and down your skin as he sunk further into your embrace, the way his hands were practically halfway up your shirt and definitely much higher than a friend’s should be. He noted the way your legs were wrapped around his body too, like you wanted to keep him close. 

“Yeah, looks super platonic,” Remus deadpanned.

Sirius grunted, lifting his head to glare at his two friends. “You know, this was a lot more pleasing when neither of you were here.”

“Stop getting pissy because we are interupting your afternoon nap with the truth,” James snapped back at him, looking a little too smug when he noted the way Sirius’ cheeks flushed pink. 

“Fuck off, Prongs,” Sirius huffed out before he nuzzled his face against your stomach once again. He let out a pleased noise when your hand for his hair, your nails lightly scratching along his scalp.

“We are just friends,” you said to James, but he heard it. He heard the hint in your voice. Maybe it was longing or something else. 

But James had a feeling that his best friend wasn’t the only one hiding his feelings.

james potter is an absolute idiot.. truly. and yet, somehow, you've still had a crush on him for 3 years. it's truly a marvel. james and his friends, fondly referred to as the 'marauders', often play practical jokes. of course, when out of the blue on a random tuesday james sheepishly approaches you asking if you want to go to hogsmeade together, you think it's some sort of joke. a cruel trick of the universe, to tug on your poor pining heart. so you scowl at him, and turn straight on your heel and march off.

james and you have been friends for years, longer then you've ever liked him, so the only logical answer is that its all a joke. a cruel joke. and one, though you'd never say to anybody else, hurts. a lot. so, like the very mature person you are, you decide to ignore his existence for the rest of the day, and the following morning. when james gets remus, your loyal potions buddy, to past notes to you in class, you throw them straight in the bin; ignoring remus's skeptical stare, with an eye-roll and shrug. and just as you think you've evaded him the whole day, he corners you as you leave history of magic.

"whats wrong with you? you've been ignoring me all day? did i fuck up that bad?" he says, hot on your heels behind you as you storm through the hallway away.

"you know james, if your gonna be such a fucking dick about peoples feelings, you shouldn't just expect them to take it. and if you do, consider yourself no longer my friend. don't talk to me, stop passing notes, stop staring at me, and stop corning me on my way out of class!" you snap, turning to stare at him with your arms folded.

and james, well, james just pouts. a confused look spreads across his brow.

With all respect, I think u guys give jkr's writing skill too much credit . Ik she said she planned everything abt hp books from the beginning( I don't believeit tbh), but she wrote some of the weirdest dumb stuff ever for the sake of the plot that don't make any sense ... Remus's life and even his name, for example.The fact that Remus hasn't visited Harry for almost 12yrs is ridiculous . "He thought Harry was safe - he felt worthless. He was a coward. " wtf?! No he didn't do it bc Harry shouldn't know abt his parents and wizarding world the End. srslyWheree were lily's friends? Oh they all passed away...Harry's grandparents THEY ALL PASSED AWAY ...problem solved (jkr is so good at this) and plus imo that also happened simply bc if Remus checked on Harry, he would be a father figure to him 100% (the role given to Sirius), and jkr didn't want Harry to have the same close connection with Remus as he did with Sirius. It would make harry -Sirius's relationship unimportant... Take Sirius's other relationships, for example. When he escaped Azkaban, he had no family, no lover, no one. Initially, I was like, "Yeah, okay," and that seemed fine. But later, it occurred to me that maybe he was written that way because he had to be solely for Harry. Like, he shouldn't care about anyone but Harry. Sirius isn't allowed to prioritize anyone over his godson.

to be fair, anon, i think two things can be true at the same time. a lot of stuff does happen in the hp universe for plot reasons---this doesn't necessarily mean it's always bad writing.

the plot required harry to be unaware of the wizarding world, alright. i don't see how this means remus would've taken, like, custody of harry or something if it hadn't! remus IS a coward. he IS extremely self flagellating. it IS completely plausible that he knew petunia wasn't a great person and left harry there anyway!

(take DH for example. he says tonks will be safe with her parents right after he tells them that her parents have been tortured for information. he isn't a stupid man, he's being deliberately cowardly.)

i understand that you probably really like remus, or at least the good bits of him, but character traits you dislike do not equal bad writing. remus consistently shows himself to be extremely passive-aggressive, conflict avoidant and unable to actually follow through on his conscience. i don't know about you, anon, but i can definitely see a man who convinced himself that withholding information about a wanted murderer was OK, convincing himself that harry is safe and better off without him.

jkr didn't have to use plot reasons to thwart remus and harry's budding relationship so that sirius could step in because...there isn't a scenario that exists wherein canon remus would step in to be an orphaned harry's father figure. i'm genuinely curious as to why you think he might. THAT, if anything, is what seems ooc to me.

as for lily, that seems to be pattern with jkr's 'popular girls'. i can't name five of ginny's friends if my life depended on it. it was also obviously done so that the snape reveal would have a greater effect. but lily isn't an established character the same way remus is.

as for sirius? i don't think it's unrealistic that he didn't have a lover/anyone waiting for him. i think people tend to forget he was only barely 22 when he got locked up; plenty of people haven't begun sorting out their lives at that age. lest we forget, he was also fighting a war pretty much the second he left hogwarts. not great for the dating scene, that. i don't think it's unrealistic at all that he hadn't thought about girls (or boys) or settling down at that time in his life.

but even if he had, i can't fathom a world in which he wouldn't transfer the love and devotion he had for james to james' son.

James gets woken by the sun gently poking at his face and coaxing him out of his sleep. He opens his eyes surprisingly easily and stretches all the sleep out of his muscles.

He loves quiet mornings like this, just like the mornings back at home with his parents when he was a child. Trotting down the stairs in his pj's to be greeted by his father making breakfast with a giant smile on his face and his mother still a bit grumpy sitting at the table with a cup of matcha. Her eyes always lit up as soon as she saw him, making him come and hug her, which he always did gladly before taking his assigned seat at the table with his stuffed lion in a smaller chair next to him.

He thinks his aunty built it for him but he's not quite sure. It's always been there.

Of course, when he trots out of his room now he isn't greeted by his parents but instead, by a grumpy Sirius sitting at the counter and a slightly sleepy Remus making coffee. "You want some? Or is it a matcha day?"

James smiles brightly at the thought of Remus' wonderful matcha (never as good as his mother's tho). "Every day is a matcha day," he says with so much energy Pads actually winces, causing James to hug him and tousle his long black hair. This obviously only got him hit on the back of his head in response while Pads mumbles something about 'stupid morning people.' Remus isn't really a morning person just less angry in the mornings than Pads but James guesses he means Remus as well as him.

While Remus is doing his thing in their shared kitchen Sirius starts staring at James in a way he can't quite place but it looks incredibly ridiculous and he can't help but let a laugh tumble out which Pads really doesn't seem to appreciate. "You know my brothers in a band, right."

James flinches as Remus lets his plate with moony toast fall to the ground. It luckily doesn't shatter but the toast falls down the wrong way causing Remus to groan. Sirius is on his feet immediately, cleaning the mess so Remus doesn't have to lean down and put a strain on his back. James pulls Remus to sit down next to him whilst still staring at Sirius in utter confusion. Remus doesn't seem to know more.

"What do you mean your brother???"

Sirius looks up at him in such a casual way it makes him a bit angry. "Did i not tell you? Could've sworn i did. Anyway yeah, my brother with whom i grew up with is in a band."

"What the actual fuck??" James has never been more confused and hurt in his entire life. He thought Sirius told him everything and while he knows he's not entitled to knowing everything, still it hurts. His Therapist advised him to talk about what he's feeling in these kinds of situations but he can't help but want to focus all his thoughts on Sirius right now. Knowing what he knows about him this is probably very hard for him. He looks at Sirius, still scrubbing the Honey off the floor with a fog clouding his eyes. He always gets like that when he's thinking about his Family and James' Heart sinks. Why was he so entitled? Only thinks about himself.

Remus seems to notice too, "Honey, I'm sorry for freaking out. You wanna talk"

"Maybe later, thank you moons"

I have a bit of a specific take on these two. It's all just my headcanon.

I don't think they were ENEMIES. Lily wanted to see him as an enemy early on, but James only saw Snape that way. At first they might have made fun of Lily too, but James grew out of that childish stage by third year when finally got a morning wood, and making fun of girls became loser behaviour for him.

Lily liked James from fourth year. That's when all the chemistry kicked off, you know? When he pisses you off, but you like him, but he pisses you off. James grew up, his grin got cheekier and even more cocky, and girls started noticing him… I'm not a fan of the trope where James is an insecure boy who's clueless with girls. I mean he was clueless with girls, but at the same time he was very confident. Not a single thought that someone might not like him... So, I think he was already flirting then, but not with any romantic intentions, just that kind of behaviour. You know, winked when he caught her eye, said 'looking good, Evans' when he spotted her in Potions class in the morning. That irritating behaviour of a self-absorbed jock. Nothing serious, but Lily reacted to it like a kid, because fourth-fifth year… she was a late bloomer. It proper embarrassed her. But really, James kick-started her awakening as a girl who could fancy boys and be fancied by them.

When James realised he really liked Lily (year 5), he tried to "unlove" her first because "love’s for wimps'". Real boys don't fall in love.

My HC is that Lily's beautiful. And the boys started paying attention to her. In James’s eyes, they were all suckers (no, they weren't, and he knew that too, but couldn't think any different).

Lily and Sirius’s relationship got better before Lily and James’s relationship did.

Lily LOVES quidditch! She's a proper fan. She genuinely fell for this sport and watches every game. James reckoned for a bit that it was about him (arrogant prat).

And he backed off from her. He didn't treat her like a friend, but he didn't act like a mortally offended drama king. She just became another classmate to him, with a neutral attitude. Zero interest.

Lily had some time to think. And Lily got a boyfriend –a great boyfriend, swear down! She tried her hardest to love him. But it didn't work out.

At the end of sixth year, Lily made the first move herself. They talked. She invited James to Hogsmeade. James, being anti-drama, said it was all good, he thought nothing bad of her, and said she could join them on Saturday at the Three Broomsticks, the Marauders would be chuffed. Especially since she got on well with all of them. More the merrier, right? Lily was like, WTF??? And James was like, what's the problem? Lily - no, no problem, everything's fine! Of course, I'd love to hang out with you lot! See you on Saturday!

Anyway, things got a bit twisted... loads more happened. And they started dating. By the way, they hooked up first, and then that same evening they confessed their love for each other and started dating. They were each other's first.

James realised how happy he was now and just walked around like the happiest person alive. He felt like he'd hit the jackpot. Same for Lily. They regretted wasting so much time and called themselves a pair of idiots.

It's really interesting that Armand told the lawyer that LOUIS is the owner of the paintings. Is he the owner of the penthouse too? HOW MANY DEEDS DOES HE HAVE, ROLIN?

I wonder what AMC might be saying about Loumand's art collection, not just wrt what we know about art heist!Armand (which we'll likely see a nod to in Ep4 at the Louvre); but also wrt what we know about Dubai's godawful neocapitalist hellscape economy, and Loumand's "moralizing" about Parisian black markets in S01E02.

I wonder if that's the excuse Armand'll give the coven when Louis shows up for dinner in Ep4--very much NOT dead; and rips out Santiago's tongue.

I wish AMC emphasized a bit more that Armand not only writes/directs the plays--he's an ACTOR, too. And istg he's an expert at PRETENDING to be helpless, meanwhile he's the strongest vamp that's NOT one of the Children of the Millennia (thanks to how well Marius made him).

Armand, that is LOW; waiting until Claudia's stuck under the oaths b4 you tell her she's guilty of breaking Great Laws she doesn't even know about yet. WTF?

Beautiful end of this STACKED episode. Incredible work, AMC! Jacob acted his PANTS off; he excels at the trembling voice, agonized facial expressions, and utter mental breakdowns. He's pulling DEEP within him, holy god; it's so raw, it's almost hard to watch. EMMY WHEN?!

ok so what if it starts out like unrequited starchaser angst right where regulus is like "i wish i were heather 😩" about lily right cause he's jealous of the fact that james is head over heels for her and he wants to be with james but thinks he's not good enough and all that yadda yadda plot angst shit. BUT THEN.

THEN.

regulus and lily are paired up for potions right (cause that's how it always goes obviously duh) and ofc it's cause he got moved up a year whatever that's not the point. THE POINT IS james is now looking over at them and regulus gets upset that he has to deal with james pining over lily when he's right there but also lily is perfect as as much as he tries he can't hate her and they have to work on a project or smth so they become like reluctant friends to actual friends and bond over ✨older sibling issues ✨ and he finds himself falling for HER TOO and he goes about unlearning prejudices and all that fun stuff but like also his feelings for james aren't going away and so he's now stuck being in love with both of them while watching lily be oblivious and james pining for her BUT

what he doesn't realize is james is having a crisis on his own when they get paired together cause oh my god lily what a goddess 😍 but also damn regulus is lowkey looking really good rn wtf 🫣 so HES now navigating his feelings for the both of them and trying not to freak out every time they're in class and he watches them whisper to eachother and smile and is all hopeless and shit cause look at them they're perfect for each other

AND MAYBE

lily is also freaking out a bit cause maybe she's from a more conservative christian household where it's "😡one man one woman😡" (you get one wife! that's the way the world works!!) but oh no the boy who wouldn't stop making fun of her and "fake asking her out" and actually kind of attractive now?? and not quite what she thought he'd be like??? and he's making eyes at the pretty slytherin boy to her left now and moved on from her but yk she can't blame him cause the pretty boy on her left is actually really pretty 😫 and she has a DOUBLE freak out when she realizes she wants both of them while dealing with the religious trauma side of things and also her own insecurities as well while having to watch them both pine at eachother from afar and maybe it hurts

Let me just say it, jkr is brilliant at writing friendships and individual characters but absolute shit at writing romance. None of the main ships were well written, the side ones were much better, though probably because we don't have enough info for them to be ruined

Ships I like :

Bill and Fleur - 💯💯💯 second best ship in the books imo

Molly and Arthur - for some reason the fandom hates this ship. U need to be a solid team to pull off a family of 7 kids ( especially with 6 boys). They also clearly love each other, they even call each other cute nicknames. What's not to like?

Dumbledore and Grindelwald - this is going to bring me hate, but they're my fav couple in the whole series. I don't need a couple to be morally good to appreciate the pairing. Probably the only well written one because they're both fleshed out as characters. Their relationship only makes them more complex and interesting than they already are.

Ships I dislike :

Harry and Ginny - The protagonist's love story was a disappointment. Ginny could have been such an interesting character, instead she was made into the boring 'perfect girl tm' just to become Harry's 'ideal partner'. She's basically made into a female version of james without his flaws being called out. Harry's 'chest monster' was cringe asf, sounded like something tht could hv been picked out of Twilight 😂😂

Ron and Hermione - i like the idea of them, but i don't think it was executed well. That bird attack practically made its appeal non existent for me ( i love Hermione but wtf)

James and Lily - we know a lot about James's character but very little about lily despite the fact that they're both dead before the series starts. James hexing Snape behind Lily's back doesn't set a good precedent, seeing as they get married the very next yr. Lily almost smiling at Snape's underpants being exposed is never addressed when Harry's being critical about james. To me it honestly feels lyk shipping james with a ghost as we know nothing substantial about lily.

PS: I also really appreciate the fact that Sirius was never paired up with anyone. He was far too broken and rebellious and traumatized. He had different priorities and I m so glad his character wasn't forced into one. Single characters for the win, they're such a rarity in fiction
