Worst Video Game Song Tournament - Round 2 Match 5
Know What I Mean? - Mario Party 2
youtube
VERSUS
The Yoshi Clan - Yoshi's New Island
youtube
FIGHT!
I would recommend listening to as much as you can of each song before voting, but how you choose is up to you! Remember to be civil in the tags and replies!
Propaganda under cut:
Know What I Mean?:
"#i'm going with the mario party #it's SO off-tune and off-beat constantly #which i think is intentional but #i hate it"
(in reference to its previous match) "#this literally isn't even a fight. coughing baby vs nuclear bomb level matchup. what the fuck was that mario song. who thought that was a #good idea. i want to have words with them."
"#kwim is overstimulation in its purest form #it's the musical equivalent of getting nonstop discord notifications while looking for something i dropped while someone is talking to me"
"#know what i mean absolutely ROCKS. horrible. rocks so hard. they did the same thing that yoshi clan did. im guffawing"
The Yoshi Clan:
"the ass band will play a song of farts to celebrate your failure"
"#FUCK YOU YOSHI"
"#yoshi sounds like suck"
"#YOOOOOOOOSHI CLAAAAN!!!!!!!! #ok im gonna complete my santa review before getting to my ten page essay on why i love yoshi clan. yea that shit bad #i accidentally started it playing in two tabs at different points of the video which was honestly really fun. i recommend tryin that esp wi #bad songs really adds smthn to the exprience. it was awesoeme #it also just sounds the exact type of awful that that video image implies which is cool. its so perfect. it sounds ass #but. what it can not beat. is my favorite of all time. my darling love. it is time to begin my sermon #ok so yoshi clan is just so beautifully terrible. and truly the whole soundtrack is an orchestra of bad design. and its so fun to look at #that really nice professional looking art for the game and get BLASTED with kazoo #and like. i understand the thought process. kazoo does seem silly goofy yoshi. and it also sounds like a chorus of pain #now this song specifically has some really great awkward pauses. at 0:16 theres like a full 3 seconds of silence. which is SO cool #then the hot cross bun bit that ends at 0:27 gets so sad and deflated at the end of it. like it starts off in time but then clearly the #soloist got kinda embarrassed alone and so rushed and got really quiet. and its just so sad and lonely. its so cool #also some of these pauses have a couple lone far away kazoo squeaks for no reason before the 'melody' comes back in? awesome #but what i really really love about this. what really draws my eye. is the ending. because we go through this entire rigamarole with the #worst secondhand embarrassment of my life. then. 0:43. the kazoos move out. and in. the most genuinely awesome groovy drum beat in the worl #like its SO good. and those last few seconds are like you're in a different world. like you just survived horrors and you are brought to an #angelic chorus. and it lasts what 5 seconds? 5 seconds of beauty after a full 40 seconds of purgatory. in what world do horrors live foreve #while an angel can last for only a flash #its cruelty. its injustice. its completely ingenious. incredible music making. i am in such awe. #anyways thats my manifesto. please feel free to put any of this in the propaganda section op. im passioante"
Feel free to add more propaganda in the tags and replies, or send it to me in the ask box and I'll try to share it as soon as I can!

Introduction!!!
Hiii :D I'm Aurora, but most people call me Rorii!! I use she/her pronouns!!!
First of all, I recommend staying away from my page if you're under 16. Perhaps not all of my posts include 18+ topics, but some do and I really, REALLY don't want anyone under 16 interracting with my content (I'm also quitte iffy about people under 18 viewing my content, but I suppose I can't really stop you if you think that you can handle it...).
I mainly use this blog to share my thoughts and ideas!!! BUT I am veryyyy insistent on making sure that my posts are correct (okayyyy I may not always succeed, but still), so I might take a bit longer to post simply because I'm making sure that everything makes sense ;D
Other times, I will be offline for weeks at a time, because I have no inspiration :'(
That being said, I try my best, but my schedule is all over the place...sorry <3
Some more info about me!! My favourite band ever are Arctic Monkeys <3 Also, I am a bit of a yapper, so hopefully I will be forgiven if I ever go on and on about something <3 Also also, purple and red are my favourite colours!!!
I easily hyperfixate on things (and I bet you can't guess what it is now...)
I often play video games when I am free and my favourite ones EVER are Little Nightmares and Hitman!! Though Fields of Mistria and Stardew Valley might as well be on the list too.
When I am not playing video games, then I am watching hour-long video essays <3
I often read books before going to bed, mostly classics, but not exclusively <3
Oh also! Sleeping is my favourite way to pass time :)
My Ask-Box is always open!!! And I swear, I try my best to answer everything :')
If you did send an ask and haven't recieved a reply yet, it's likely because I have not enough inspiration to make a good post about your ask. However, as soon as inspiration strikes me, I will write and write and write!!!
Frequently asked Questions!!!!
Q: What fandoms do you write for? A: Any fandom that I am currently interested in, so feel free to request and recommend me various media that you would like to see from me...however, DC has had a lot of power over me lately...
Q: Is there any topic you won't write about? A: A few come to mind, like extreme kinks and fetishes (age play, scat/pee/vomit play, non-con, etc.). However, if it is anything super niche or specific, feel free to ask me!
Q: Do you have any side blogs or other socials? A: For now, I have no side blogs, however, I have a secret AO3 account!! Let me know if you think you've found it ;D
Masterlist!!!
Yes, I finally have a masterlist. I've tried to compile EVERYTHING on here and will try to update regularly:
Masterlist
That would be all for now :)
Thanks for reading this <3

I was looking for something completely unrelated in the DID tags and I happened upon your post about dronification for DID. It's been something I've been thinking about for a long time! I was amazed to see another system talking about it. I have theorized that something like this could be helpful in stabilizing my system and getting things done. Would you have any resources for a system looking to get started with this?
So for most of this, I’m gonna have to go over what I’ve learned in the process of doing everything. A lot of what I’ve been doing was cobbled together from multiple things over the course of about a decade of meditation, hypnosis for fun, and general trance practice. I do also have a very solid background in a childhood full of projecting my internal maladaptive daydreaming shenanigans outside of my mind in my very rural neighborhoods because I didn’t have any friends around, often for miles. It’s also probably the ADHD.
You’ll probably be able to tell I was given a lot of time and space to think about things on my own. That’s what I had rather than much of a social life. I had far too much time to philosophize. I’ve often felt like the Thinker statue at the Smithsonian. Just sitting there, wrapped up in my own thoughts. Alternatively, engaging in stories in any available form.
So pardon the whole essay, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone else really talk about being a drone as a system, either, as a method of healing. For a lot of these things, I’ve had to learn almost entirely through direct experience. So I’m honestly really excited to talk about it more. This ended up getting much longer than expected, too. It’s sort of a stream of thoughts that I tried to organize a bit. I also haven’t written very many things in far too long. So I let myself get a bit carried away and go into some of the details. Plus I really want to recognize just how much we managed to get through in what still feels like too short a timeline.
I also used to email lengthy, semi-organized rambling novels back and forth with at least one person. This is going to be similar to that. It’s also why I miss college very deeply. I’m a big fan of academic studies and analysis. My attention span is getting better again.
I will slip between singular and plural pronouns somewhat seamlessly. The logic is that when I use singular pronouns, it’s the whole system as a singular unit, without dividing certain things because it’s simply not relevant. Otherwise, plural pronouns are for when differentiating all the nuance is relevant.
The hypnosis files online
I like to lurk on the dronification subreddit, but it’s not especially active. The only reason I don’t interact is largely because I’m wary of interaction of that kind in general, given where I’m still at in recovery. Since most of dronification is about altered consciousness, hypnosis is the most common method of getting into that mental space of non-identity.
You can find some pretty general drone hypnosis videos on youtube, but I’ve seen people in both the dronification and the erotic hypnosis subreddits very frequently recommend soundgasm. WarpMyMind is an archive of files from many different people, some premium and some free. I haven’t looked very recently, but I know they have files for just about everything. There are also hypnotists with their own websites with exclusive content or just stuff too spicy for the algorithm. Some of those websites also have spiral makers, if you’re into that.
But to be honest, I don’t explore very much anymore, and I’m hesitant to recommend any one person or another because I don’t know what’s going on with hypnotist discourse and frankly just don’t have the energy to spare for it. The one exception is a youtube video shared on a sideblog that hasn’t totally been connected with the rest, but one you can find if you look at the drone sideblog’s pinned post. I haven’t used it lately, because of personal things around the holidays.
Either way, choose what you listen to with care and allow your mind to bend suggestions in whatever way you’re most comfortable with. Make sure a file does exactly what it says it’s supposed to, and nothing more. Jump into the middle of a file and preview the contents just to be safe, honestly. Look for transcripts of any given audio. And don’t be afraid to stop for a while if things go south at any point and come out of hypnotic trance, and figure out what triggered what. It’s incredibly likely you’ll stumble across things you didn’t see before that you’ll need to sort through. On top of just being a mess that needs cleaned up in the first place, you’ll develop trust a lot faster if you let others slow down as needed and not just rush in.
The drone-state of mind
This actually requires specifically and intentionally entering a state of depersonalization, just to be entirely clear on what you’re doing. But the key point is that you’re actually embracing it in a safe environment, set with rules of behavior and anything you can think of as reasonable fail-safes in case you need to act immediately for any reason. Because the interesting thing about dealing with any form of dissociation is that to heal from it, you need to have some form of control over it. By actually taking control of how you depersonalize or otherwise dissociate, you learn how to keep yourself grounded in the present reality better. A way to hide your face is incredibly helpful when you’re letting go of individual identity, but I’ve also found that it’s not strictly necessary if you can dissociate hard enough already.
You should put together a document beforehand that you can come to a collective agreement on. It doesn’t have to be fully comprehensive at the start. Just start with the basics and develop it from there. This will be your instruction manual, or whatever you choose to call it. Make however many copies you think you’ll need, because starting over any on kind of document isn’t fun.
Pick a single, consistent style of language to use for your drone-state that isn’t overly complex. Keep your instructions clear and concise, so that even in your lowest energy states, they’re easy to understand. It’s been a lot of ‘if ___, do ___’ and explaining the terms used, as well as the command phrases you go with. You should also make a habit of studying those instructions, and definitely do so as a drone. Because as a drone, that’s literally the only thing you’ll have any attention on in the moment, and since you’re in a very altered state of consciousness, it sets into your mind a lot easier. And don’t forget to consistently review your instructions, because things change and you will find yourself adapting them over time.
If you have someone you trust supporting your recovery in the external world, like a friend or family member or other care provider, you should probably give them at least a rough idea of your new method of stabilizing yourself. This can be phrased however you think is the most appropriate. I explain it, when talking about it, more or less that I’m treating my mind similarly to a computer, because the people around me know that I like digital technology. I already wear earbuds at least half the time, especially out of the house. It’s just a thing because I love music a lot. The right music literally helps me regulate my emotions. I don’t even mention the specifics, just that I’m using technological framework to understand how healing works for me. I halfheartedly blame my parents, and my dad in particular, because they were both nerds and tried to keep up with technology. Dad’s still at it now, 66 years old. He likes to be the Mr. Spock type usually, so emphasizing that I’m trying to balance my emotions with logical understanding works really well.
A long-term process
This will inevitably take a lot of time, depending on how unstable you are now. Do not try to put together a clear time frame to have this done by. I promise, you’ll take a lot longer than you initially expect to. I’ve been taking a break for about two months now because the holidays tanked my own stability, and I’m still picking myself back up from it. Especially when things are hard, give yourself the grace to slow down so you don’t overheat the system. It won’t help to try and speed-run becoming a perfect drone. *semantics mode* Perfection may be perpetual motion, but only at a rate that won’t destroy that which is in motion.
And to be honest, we literally just stumbled our way into using this to stabilize ourselves. So for us, this just started out with only a small cluster of parts bumbling around with often mature kinds of hypnosis fantasies partially in an attempt to work out the mess that is our sexuality and relationship with gender. At least, after a while. Until then, it was purely for escapism. We experimented with a lot of different things along the way, slowly progressing through different types of objectification from dolls to statues and whatever. Slowly, we did start to form ideas about what we wanted specifically, because we noticed how easy it had become for us.
We didn’t actually really consider being a drone until 2022. And then I’m pretty sure that was just me, as a specific part. Others slowly came around with time, waiting to make sure it wouldn’t be some disaster. And I’m not gonna lie, even I wasn’t so sure it would work out all that well. But to be honest, I feel like combining healing with pleasure is more effective than many people realize.
From my perspective, this is largely because of the dominant work culture. On that, the standard model of specifically US American Protestant work ethic is obsessed with work sucking so bad and being miserable. But you should enjoy the process of healing. If being a drone makes it easier and brings you joy, and you generally know what you’re in for along the way, then I don’t see the issue. People just get all worked up because it’s not considered normal to use a specific kink to heal trauma. It’s literally just purity culture bullshit, and just outright shaming people for being happy and making the best of a shitty situation. I had to spend ages working through that faulty logic about recovery with my therapist, because the assumption that it’s an entirely painful process is very prevalent in society. Sometimes it’s going to hurt, but then at other points, it should feel more like the best damn thing you ever did. Thinking it’s always about how much you’ve gotta drag yourself up and not enjoying the peaks you’ve already reached will only hold you back.
So with all that bumbling around, it only really became a thing to help with functioning in real life last February, and that was largely Lilu’s idea while we were fused. That was simply just about functioning through pain and general mental issues, and setting solid routines. More apparent efforts to integrate wouldn’t come until at least late summer when other parts more preoccupied with keeping things running behind the scenes took an actual interest. It took even more time to get more parts onboard with the whole thing, and we still have many that haven’t.
It was at least partially a joke, but Pandemonum was the one to suggest using the drone-state to help organize our mind better, with an offhand library comment. Because somewhere, I think with Zemyx and Isaac, the idea stuck. One of Pandemonum’s less present fragments, Bran, hangs out a lot in the library. It’d be easy for an idea like that to slip into the library crowd. Through a lot of convoluted events, such as Lilu directly delivering a challenge of shenanigans to Galaco (Sir) and Cyan, and then others finding it to be infectiously fun. The more parts we pulled in since late August, the more appealing using the drone-state to organize our mind became, so we could at least integrate our memories and straighten our life out. Aria emerged with a new form and gave us a new sense of psychological stability across connected parts.
And in external world, we were learning to get more involved in the community we live in, and get to know other people better. So by the end of the summer, we were really learning how to communicate with other people, as well. We found an incredibly supportive group of people from kinda all over the state I live in, who we share a lot of ideals with. So we were taking our growing social skills and using what we’d learned to reconnect to each other. The individual traumas getting strung back together into something intelligible was hard, but we had learned how to reach out to others and were able to get the help we needed.
One thing led to another, and our childhood friend picked us up to see Wonka at the mall on December 15th, to cheer us up. Alexiel decided on leaving the metaphorical doors wide open to broadcast the whole movie to anyone it could hypothetically reach. It was amazing. We even pulled parts out that were buried in the absolute depths, and got an even clearer picture of our earliest memories, psychological or physical ones, than we’d put together before.
Then, because we’ve been practicing radical acceptance for each other, Joshua decided to try and chip away at his own barriers. He’s a liminal part, one of the few able to pass between sidesystems with any amount of ease, because he enforced the rules directly the most. And it, ah, triggered a whole refresh of our childhood brainwashing that came right out of left field. It quickly became a situation of damage control when he began struggling to stay where he wanted to be by his own focus.
It was ultimately a lack of communication on our part, so we’ve been largely on break from being a drone for various things, but we had already been on a slow decline for a while. We simply had to entirely focus on stabilizing parts that had been refreshed in the weeks before Christmas. The reason our damage control actually went so well was we already proved our own competence at the beginning of December.
We were away from home at a membership assembly with the previously mentioned people from around our home state, and Ash managed to have his wits together enough to not worry about thinking and just stepped in to prevent an already stressful interpersonal situation from getting any worse. At dinner in the middle of our own meal, to the sound of someone falling out of their chair during a family dispute almost halfway across the cafeteria. It went surprisingly well and he was very clearly in control of himself the entire time. I think we’re all still processing that one.
And even if you don’t end up dealing with a lot of different kinds of complex trauma, it takes time to fully integrate all that you represent into that single network. We ran into a lot of errors along the way, as well has having to deal with restricted access to a lot of what kept us so dissociated. A lot of very explicit trust is involved because you’re basically backing everything of you up on what amounts to a shared cloud storage or server. For those of us that keep the connection running on a permanent basis, it also allows us to peek through their subsystems. It was how we started mapping even more parts to realize, yes, we do have several hundreds of parts simply because of, well, everything. But the silver lining is that we’ve finally gotten to clean the skeletons out of our closet and lay them down to rest and decompose. We’re learning what to actually do instead of dissociate from the situation completely.
Some final thoughts
Another key part of making all this work is that we’ve agreed to function without a singular point of authority or hive leader, despite how it might otherwise seem. Any shenanigans that do incorporate any sort of hierarchy are purely for shits and giggles. You’re agreeing to equal representation and responsibilities, in accordance with what you’re ready for. This will result in more equal access to your skills across those of you taking part. Think a very patient Borg, just without a queen (I got a fair bit of exposure to Borg propaganda in the last year or so because I follow someone who simps for them so hard and I initially just followed her for her general Star Trek posts).
The main reason I conceptualize it as robotic and digital is because it acts as a system based around at least speculative science, in contrast with the extreme religious nature of my trauma (and it brings really nerdy joy to do it this way). What I’m doing is conceptualized as altering my literal programming because it gives me a way to intentionally recondition myself with a healthier understanding of myself and the world. I’m a concrete thinker, so I have to conceptualize the process very literally before it produces any really tangible results.
Almost counter-intuitively given how technological it comes off as, it’s like a kind of magic. To explain it in a more mundane way, it’s a combination of logic, consistent methodology, conceptualization, and the placebo effect from your belief in that process. This is why reinforcing your conditioning with written instructions regularly is important, because you need to exercise those mental muscles as best as you can.
I tend to rely, perhaps hilariously, on things like western astrology and tarot as a structure for self-reflection. Engaging in rituals that harm no one are actually pretty important, because they’re methods of grounding yourself. In a way, dronification is also a ritual. You’re altering your state of consciousness very intentionally for personal fulfillment, to enhance your life experiences.
And I can’t overstate how important it is to remember that you don’t have to be progressing on a linear path all the time. Recovery isn’t a two-dimensional picture, and neither is getting the hang of being a good drone. Any changes you’re trying to make to your lifestyle will take time to settle into.
Take care and good luck
I wish you the best, and if you have any other questions, you’re free to ask. I probably won’t have an answer for everything, because I’m pretty much just making it up as I go along. But I’ll go as far as my logic and intuition can take me and try to point you in a decent direction. There is, of course, an amazing podcast episode from Off The Cuffs that I listened to in March of last year. It’s specifically episode 241--Unit 4015, which also helped me understand the appeal of the specific niche that dronification is.
I honestly wouldn’t be entirely surprised if it’s just generally attractive to people with dissociation, but that’s also, at this time, a purely personal speculation. You don’t have to take it seriously if you’d rather not. I’m just starting to ramble even more at this point. I really appreciate the ask and getting a chance to talk about the process. Going into detail about everything I’ve done with this helps me to process it and understand where I am now as opposed to before deciding to experiment. Honestly, thanks.

Got tagged on this post, so!
If you see this send asks to a few mutuals or people that recently interacted with your posts asking them about 5 things that make them happy! (No pressure, just if you want to get to know people better 🫶)
5 things that make me happy :)
1: My cat and my dog!! Attached some pictures below the cut hehe :))
2: Talking about/sharing content about my interests/fixations (currently art and COD for the most part, but I have some smaller things I find interesting like fandom culture/history!)
3: I wish I could put making art on here but..... tbh it usually makes me want to bash my head in LOL I do really enjoy looking at art though + I like making art that i'm proud of & sharing art with people!
4: I'm going through what I like to call my yearly Minecraft Phase where all I want to do for at least a week is play Minecraft 24/7. In the past 5 or 6 days I've played well over 24 hours of Minecraft and it would have been a LOT more if I didn't have a bunch of work to do for school 😭 So yeah, Minecraft !
5: My friends & my family!! Well, I guess I only have 1 friend that I really talk to outside of school at the moment so maybe the friends plural isn't entirely accurate :') but still! (Hello Kai if you're seeing this 🤞🤞)
6: Bonus: I really like a good YouTube video essay, especially Hbomberguy's videos! They're super interesting and great to put on in the background while I work. (If you have any recommendations feel free to send them to me!)

Genocide in Palestine: It’s Really Not Complicated
An accessible primer designed to sway the “both sides are wrong” people in your life
(context: i put this together for my own parents, but decided to share it in case it could help anyone else. i think a lot of us feel like we're just shouting into an echo chamber & only being heard by people who already agree.... so this was my attempt at making something that could help carry the truth outside of our activist bubble! feel free to copy/paste whatever, tweak the language so it's in ur own words, etc.)
The context:
A brief history of Israeli occupation
A long track record of peaceful protest (all met with slaughter)
An exemplary essay on the Palestinian experience of the global climate around occupied Palestine
The situation in Palestine today:
Is this genocide?
Indisputably, yes.
But if you can’t take my word for it, listen to the experts:
Holocaust survivors protesting for a free Palestine
The resignation letter from the Director of New York Office of the UN High Commissioner of Human Rights (I strongly recommend reading at least the first page) (full letter here)
More from the former UN Director
Every single country in the UN voting yes on a ceasefire & then being blocked by the US and a handful of our military allies
Explicit genocidal intent from Israel's Public Diplomacy Minister
Explicit genocidal intent (en masse) in the Zionist movement
Another Auschwitz survivor speaking out (this man is now dead, this video is >13 yrs old) (these atrocities have gone unpunished for decades)
Why anti-Zionism is NOT anti-Semitism:
A brief background on Zionism
The IDF employs the same violence against Jewish Israeli citizens who don’t support the genocide:
Zionist forces brutally assault Orthodox Jews in the streets of Jerusalem for opposing genocide in Gaza
Holocaust survivors protesting for a free Palestine
More support for anti-Zionism from a Jewish woman raised by a Zionist family
Israeli citizens speaking out against the IDF:
Israeli teens serving jail time for refusing to serve in the IDF
Another Jewish Israeli speaking out against Palestinian occupation
Evidence that the IDF is fabricating claims to rationalize further violence (and is actively responsible for much of the actual damage):
“Baby teeth from infants burned alive” debunked by experts, (addtl dentists weighing in)
Accusing Hamas of war crimes committed by the IDF
Scenes from Israel & Palestine before Gaza’s power grid got cut
Recent atrocities: a not-remotely-comprehensive list
Thousands of children dead. Not claimed to be dead without any evidence—actual children with names and verifiable identities, crushed and burned alive.
The 2023/2024 school year in Gaza has been formally canceled because every single student is dead.
IDF targeting designated “safe” evacuation routes:
https://www.wionews.com/world/israeli-strikes-kill-gaza-civilians-including-children-on-safe-routes-reports-646972 (Sidebar: can we talk about the use of quotation marks around “kill” here? ‘Oops, my hand slipped onto the trigger of a gun and then someone got “ouch-ed” by a “bullet!” Clumsy me!’)
https://www.theguardian.com/world/2023/oct/14/gaza-civilians-afraid-to-leave-home-after-bombing-of-safe-routes
IDF targeting hospitals:
Al Quds Hospital
Turkish-Palestinian Friendship Hospital
Cutting Gaza’s power grid
The indiscriminate use of weapons banned by the Geneva Convention. White phosphorus does not stop burning till it reaches bone. They are crop dusting refugee camps and schools with this. This is not just hearsay, this has been eyewitness-confirmed by international journalists & Amnesty International.
They dropped it on a fucking school. Full of children. Burned alive from the inside out. There are literally no words.
More evidence
As of 11/2, lsrael has dropped 25,000 tons of explosives on Gaza Strip, which is equivalent to the explosive force of two nuclear bombs.
IDF targeting refugee camps:
Jabalia refugee camp:
More on Jabalia
A second blast on Jabalia in 2 days (there’s since been a third)
Israeli soldiers starting a “kidnapping challenge” in which Palestinians in the West Bank are kidnapped and blindfolded. TikTok is filled with videos of Israeli soldiers and civilians participating.
Pogroms & forced displacement in the West Bank
Targeting journalists & silencing dissenters
Cholera outbreaks from contaminated water & infant death from dehydration due to Gaza being (deliberately) cut off from clean water
Hundreds of Palestinian workers abducted & tortured without ever learning the charges
The Bottom Line: the IDF claims to be targeting Hamas, but they’ve razed entire cities to the ground. They target churches, mosques, & synagogues alike. They target refugee camps and schoolyards and bucolic farmland. This is not about tracking down a few terrorists, this is about wiping out an ethnic group in order to occupy their homeland.
The human side: individual voices & experiences
A message from a doctor in Gaza
A young video blogger reporting from Gaza
Palestinian children speaking out
The faces of the people we’re targeting.
(There’s obviously a tremendous amount of this, most of which is much much harder to watch. But I am emotionally exhausted so for now I’ll just leave it at that.)
Does this mean you condone Hamas?
No. Do you condone decades of ethnic cleansing and forced displacement?
Or, put differently: Palestine has been under violent imperialist rule for years, with similar atrocities / acts of violence / systematic displacement taking place for literal decades. As I keep hearing from better-informed activists than myself, this did not start on October 7th. (Exhibit A, Exhibit B, I could go on but you get the idea). And after decades of peaceful protest and pleas to be seen, the first time that Palestine has ever received this much media attention was after the violence on 10/7. Do I think it’s good to harm civilians? No. Obviously not. But I think it’s worse to bomb thousands of civilian buildings for decades on end without any oversight, accountability or consequence.
Unfortunately, no dominant system of power has ever been dismantled without bloodshed. Targeting civilians is atrocious, but that’s what Israel has been doing for decades, and no one batted an eye until Palestine struck back.
If this is true, why is this my first time hearing about it?
Let’s talk about:
The Propaganda Machine!
A silly & unexpectedly informative overview of the propaganda machine… ~in song~
One very small example
Reuters provides a good example of how journalists rely on readers’ short attention span to paint Palestinians as monsters:
Let’s start with the headline: [Freed Israeli hostage says 'I've been through hell']
Yikes! Yeah! Makes sense! Being kidnapped is really scary! The front half of the article describes the pain and terror of that kidnapping in detail. But if you scroll down to the bottom, you get to read her account on her time as a hostage:
"When we got there, first of all they told us that they believed in the Koran and that they would not harm us," she recounted. A group of five people from her kibbutz were held together, each with an individual guard who stayed with them 24 hours a day. Lifshitz said a doctor visited them every other day and brought them the medicines they needed. "They took good care of the wounded," Lifshitz said. Video of her release on Monday showed her turning around to shake the hand of a masked captor. Asked why she had done that, she replied: "They treated us gently and met all our needs."
Sidebar: did you know that Hamas was willing to free all hostages in exchange for the release of the countless Palestinians imprisoned by the IDF on no charges whatsoever? I sure didn’t! Because U.S. media doesn’t cover those stories. Because the corporations funding these atrocities have financial interest in maintaining Israel’s status as innocent victims, and the entire civilian population of Palestine as a living smokescreen for Hamas.
Examples of the U.S. trying to maintain its facade as “the good guy” — The U.S. takes credit for restoring power to Gaza when in fact it was Palestineans on the ground who restored their own power
Thanks to pressure from a massive groundswell of grassroots support, the media climate has changed in the past week alone, but I swear to god that one week ago (10/26), I googled “attacks on Palestine” / “bombings in Gaza” and Google EXCLUSIVELY provided results on the Oct 7 attack on Israel.
The US govt attempting to run further arms deals in secret with zero oversight, inured from all checks & balances, in order to hide our involvement in these atrocities
I have yet to see a single one of these massive protests in the news
But if this is really genocide, why is the US still siding with Israel?
A very thorough explanation from a former Stanford professor.
(The short version: Israel has long been America's attack dog in the Middle East, and allows us unparalleled access to the resources that we want to take advantage of. It's the military-industrial complex at its most insidious. If you can’t accept that answer, please just listen to the podcast.)
Misc. addtl resources:
A helpful thread addressing common pro-Israel arguments
An excellent reading list compiled by people much smarter than me
Okay, so we’re funding a genocide. What can I do?
Buy e-sims to get Gaza back online
Contact your local legislators. This google doc makes it insanely easy to send an auto-email in protest to every single bill funding the genocide. It’ll help if you change the language a tiny bit to keep it from getting flagged as spam, but whatever you’ll actually do is better than nothing. Mobile version here.
Boycott the companies most actively lobbying for further violence
TALK ABOUT IT. EVEN WHEN IT IS UNCOMFORTABLE. Especially when it’s uncomfortable. The government is depending on our exhaustion, our desensitization, our silence & our compliance. Do Not Let Them Get Away With It. If nothing else, your support helps suffering people to feel a tiny bit more seen. That should be reason enough.
Who are you (and what’s your agenda)?
Nobody, really. Just some privileged American who’s been watching our president stand around spouting bullshit about how, “oh, well, there’s no way to know…” while my twitter feed overflows with on-the-ground footage of the worst shit I have ever seen. I’m sharing this anonymously because I have a hard time feeling visible on the internet (I don’t have any social media accounts under my real name, just goofy fandom aliases to post about my dumb hyperfixations). But it’s also because it doesn’t really matter who I am. I’m not half as educated as any of the folks linked above, so the most I can do is compress & compile the resources that a lot of folks—namely, those who get their news from mainstream media—don’t get to see.
If you’re so unqualified, why are you making this? What’s your game here 🤨🤨🤨
It’s pretty fuckin selfish, but I guess my immediate agenda is to be able to talk to my parents again? To have a real conversation without the constant fear that someone’s about to say something that’ll make me totally shut down, just because they get their info from the news. If it can do that much, I’ll be… still drenched in despair, I guess, but maybe 1% less anxious?
Beyond that, I feel like a lot of us feel like we’re shouting into an echo chamber. Like, all of this info is out there, but it only forms a larger picture if you’re already, constantly plugged in. I think that in a lot of cases, our (very justified) anger winds up alienating folks whose main flaw is just… trusting the resources that they’ve been taught to trust. So I liked the idea of making something that would feel accessible to folks who sit outside of our bubble—something that could be informative without coming off as shout-y or judgmental. Hopefully I came close?
…End of day, I guess it feels better than doing nothing.

hi ive just peaked. ive been questioning the trans rhetoric for a while but after the mass shooter situation i can't support this community anymore. not the shooter, but the community reaction to it is what peaked me. how could they watch kids be gunned down and worry about themselves??? i feel so awful, i have normal trans friends, but the movement as a whole is just so sexist and self centered i cant support it anymore. im so sorry, ive been drinking but i need to get this off my chest, i feel like an awful person but the trans community makes me sick rn. i think everyone should live a life free from legal discrimination but im done campaigning for them and making myself small for them. as a radfem who has peaked, what do i do now? i feel so lost and angry...
Hi!
First of all, I’m sorry that you have to feel this way. You are not a bad person. It’s okay to question your beliefs and change them, and as long as you aren’t advocating for the harm or death of trans people (which nobody here does), you are not hateful and are not harming people. You just have different beliefs.
The feelings you’re describing are so familiar to me, because it’s exactly what I was feeling when I peaked. It was the homophobia, sexism, and reaction to the Chris Chan debacle that did it for me, and I felt lost and angry and guilty as well. It’s hard to manage the first two feelings…you’re going to feel angry for a while, especially as you begin to notice more and more flaws with the movement. Because peaking isn’t just a one-time thing, it’s ongoing. Speaking from experience, the deeper you dive into this community, the more sexism and homophobia you encounter. It really is like the iceberg analogy, with the tip being the normie “I’m just more comfortable as a boy/girl” trans people, and the bottom being telling homosexuals we need to be attracted to the opposite sex, sending women death and rape threats, trans identified males having fantasies about raping “terfs”, etc. I just reblogged a post that talks about this, how it starts with “we just want to pee!” Which gets well-meaning LGB people and our allies on their side…but quickly spirals into always demanding more.
So unfortunately, the anger won’t go away. But the feelings of being lost will. I would encourage you to do what I did, which was make a blog here. Make a post asking any questions you have about gender criticism or radical feminism, and post it in tags like #radblr, #terfs please touch, #terfs do touch, #gender critical, #radical feminism, #LGB drop the T, etc. I quickly found that women here were very open to answering the questions I had, and it really helped me get my mind around the whole gender issue, and eased me into feminism (I don’t consider myself a radfem though, just adjacent). Don’t put much effort into the blog at first, just have it be a no-obligation filler thing to get your feet wet. I found that also helped with my guilt as well. Because I wasn’t going full “terf”, I was just asking questions. And any ideology that is worth believing allows questions, even difficult ones, to be asked (but of course, gender ideology does not allow even the simplest of questions to be asked). Just having a place to read what other women were saying and to engage with them made me feel so much less alone, and assured me I wasn’t the only one in the world thinking this way. It kept me sane while I was coming to terms with the fact that the community and ideology I had so passionately defended, was a giant mass of homophobia and sexism that hated me for being a lesbian.
And again, I cannot stress enough that you have nothing to be guilty for. You are not an awful person.
Here are some YouTube channels I can recommend:
Looking through some of their videos might help you wrap your mind around this whole thing and ease some of your feelings of being a bad person and of being lost.
There’s so much I could say to somebody who’s in your position, and I’m not sure if I’ve said it all but I did my best with just telling you what came to mind first. I really hope this helps, and if you need, please feel free to either send more asks with your questions or DM me. And others please feel free to reply or reblog with your thoughts.
I wish you the best in navigating through this, because I know it’s difficult!! 💕💖💕💖

I'm going into grade eleven this year, I'm a sixteen year old girl. I suffer from 6 mental illnesses. Grade 10 was a really bad year for me regarding my grades n stuff because of my mental health. How can I get good grades while also prioritizing my mental health? I've decided to go to the library instead when I'm studying, I have a noisy home. What else could I do?
I totally understand your situation; I also struggled a lot during that time of my life. Going to the library is already a great idea, but I have some more tips I would like to share with you! I feel like reducing the stress caused by school is the most important aspect to help your mental health.
This may sound a bit silly, but taking cute notes really helped me stay focused; I used an IPad Pro and good notes for that.
Reading classical literature in your free time, I grew up around classics and realised quickly how much I benefitted from reading them. I also recommend annotating while reading to focus more.
Watch YouTube videos about the topics you are currently learning; you can also watch study vlogs to motivate yourself.
Email your teacher when you have trouble with homework, especially if you struggle with talking in class. It shows them that you are trying your best and are interested.
Learn to romanticise school. I will make a more in-depth post about this!
I switched from private to online school in 11th grade, which helped me a lot.
Use notion to organise your school stuff, It's a bit complicated at first, but you can find free aesthetic templates online to make it easier. Once you understand it, you can customise everything to your needs.
Use Grammarly to make writing essays easier. I really recommend getting the paid version if you can!!
Don't skip school and eat enough. I had the terrible habit of skipping school when I didn't feel good, don't do that! Just attend class, even if you don't have the energy to take notes or raise your hand.
Join Studytwt on Twitter. It's a sweet community of people who motivate each other, help each other with school stuff and are, in general, really lovely!
Check out LifeAt.io. It's a website that creates an aesthetic atmosphere with little videos and music to play in the background, like a cafe atmosphere or rain and stuff like that. This might be especially helpful since you mention that you live in a noisy home.
Now I also have some more 'unethical' advice; if that's not your thing, just ignore this section; use these tips ONLY if things are getting bad and your grades a stressing you out and making your situation worse.
Desperate times call for desperate measures, right?
Google your homework and school books; most of the time, you can find the answers online. If you are lucky, you can find something like a teacher version to your school book with all the answers for sale.
Use Photo math for Mathematics. It's an app that gives you the answers to any math problem and explains everything in a straightforward way without any wordy bs.
Omnicalculator. Literally helpful for any subject. It's a free website that you can just look up. Totally recommend.
If you have any more questions or need someone to talk to, feel free to message me or send me another ask! I hope this helps you a little, and I wish you all the best for your new school year! <3

a few websites i recommend:
you won't walk alone is a platform that is created with the purpose of being in solidarity with the women who have been undergoing the pressure of wearing a headscarf in any part of their lives by means of acknowledging and sharing their stories of struggle.
aeon is a digital magazine with wonderful quality essays on a variety of subjects all for free. i have also subscribed to their newsletter.
on being is a radio show and podcast created by Krista Tippett where they discuss poetry, ideas and wisdom from different parts of the world.
brain pickings is a web archive made by Maria Popova - "it is a record of my own becoming as a person — intellectually, creatively, spiritually, poetically — drawn from my extended marginalia on the search for meaning across literature, science, art, philosophy, and the various other tentacles of human thought and feeling."
we present has articles about different art forms (architecture, illustration, film, street art, music, photography and more), but also about gaming, fashion, social topics and learning. the articles are interesting, qualitatively written and unique.
for getting better with writing in english: write and improve (gives you topics to write about and corrects your mistakes as well as tells you your level of english knowledge)
a few youtubers i highly recommend: Nathaniel Drew (his website, and i suggest subscribing to the newsletter!), Robin C. Waldun (who also has a website). some more :)) : clavero (a spanish filmmaker, been watching him since 2016, funnily enough i found him on misical.ly), cathy hay (for historical fashion, but she also has such wonderful wisdom aah she's so lovely), kraig adams (for some relaxing hiking videos but also for hiking ideas), exurb1a and exurb2a (unique look on the world and some lovely philosophy), let's talk religion (in depth, well-explained videos on various religions and specific aspects of those religions), pursuit of wonder (a heaven for people like me who live in constant existential crisis. but fr - i can't even count how many times those videos have changed my perspective), damon dominique (wonderful and unique content where you can learn but also be entertained. love the guy.), george thompson (for people who are interested in daoism), savannah brown (she is a writer, i have her poetry book sweetdark (highly recommend btw), but her video essays are masterpieces) aaand i think that's it for now :)
have fun on the internet! you're the bee's knees and i hope you have a wonderful day.
(also feel free to reblog with more resources you wish more people knew about)

if anyone wants to recommend musicals to me I would fucking adore that. Until then, here are some suggestions:
Love in Hate Nation-- LET’S GO LESBIANS! 1960s sapphic love story taking place in a girls’ reformatory. Also, trans girl played by trans actress!!! Some of the amazing songs are “I Hope” and “Oh Well”. Susannah Son wants to be a singer, her performative activist boyfriend is gross and also wants her to marry him so he’ll have better options politically. Sheila Nail is so fucking cool and I love everyone in this. My brain cuts out about this I’m so sorry babes. There is not a cast recording but there IS an original cast bootleg on youtube.
Holy Musical B@man!-- If you liked the goofiness of 1960s Batman and Robin, but think “man, these guys should’ve been able to swear! And also should have had a candy themed villain!” this is the musical for you. Also if you’ve heard of the very queer Harry Potter musical that JK herself tried to sue over, it’s made by the same group <3. As usual with Team Starkid, whole thing is up for free on youtube by the creators.
Firebringer-- Speaking of the same group... Cave people sapphics who I think are bi or pan. I love them and they’re all so dumb. Also, if you’ve seen the “I don’t really wanna do the work today” vine, that comes from this. I do not remember any of the second half other than one of them taking the ring the other is proposing with... to propose. And the “*blows kiss*” “fuck no, Zazz” “duly noted”. Kind of like a shitpost musical. Once again, free by creators. Actually, check out any of their musicals.
The Prom-- In Indiana, Emma just wants to take her girlfriend to the prom, and in response, the PTA cancels it. With some help from some broadway actors looking for good publicity, they manage to pull it off. So, to summarize, teen lesbian gets gay uncle who knows what she’s going through!! This musical makes me cry every goddamn time. There is a movie now, and I’m very happy about that because *high profile gay rep on netflix*, but I personally did not like the direction they took with it. They put a weird amount of emphasis on biological rather than found family in the movie, and were a little too forgiving when it came to trauma from family for being gay. Also, they took away Emma being butch. This was sadly (loosely) based on a recent true story from I think 2012. Also, was the first gay kiss in the Macy’s parade. You know those movie musicals the straight girls in theater like? The music is similar, but gayer, and for some reason that makes me so fuckng happy. I think it’s because non-queer people have had musicals for so long, and those normally have a 60s vibe, and the music in this does too and it feels more classic?? Sapphic promposal song (het at the beginning). “Unruly Heart” and the end of Act 1 will break you. Please ignore the bad wigs.
Spies Are Forever-- GAY SPIES GAY SPIES GAY SPIES!! Curt Mega (played by... Curt Mega) lost his partner Owen during a mission. Now, he’s just trying to get back into spying like Owen would want. I fucking weep every time. Also, a song about comphet (at 6:36)!! And here is a video essay on how it relates to the Lavender Scare. I want you all to know that everyone also headcanons the femme fatale spy in it as either a lesbian or aroace, which uh, makes sense. Also high quality videos put up by creators. They had Jewish people making fun of Nazis while writing this, but “Not so Bad” is... kinda bad. “Torture Tango” has so much goddamn sexual tension and becomes devastating.
Hadestown--  If you know the myth of Orpheus and Eurydice, it’s like that, except capitalism part 1. Orpheus is a poor musician, Eurydice dies, just like the myth. Except, the Great Depression post-apocalyptic setting that works better than it probably should. There are actually 3 soundtracks: the concept album, off-Broadway, and Broadway. I personally don’t like the concept album purely based on vibe. Off-Broadway has an absolutely gorgeous sounding Orpheus, and if you’ve heard of the disaster that was Spiderman: Turn Out the Dark, then you’ve heard of surprisingly amazing Broadway Orpheus Reeve Carney. The Fates are gorgeous and I’ve decided they’re queer. Tony’s performance link here. Explores relationships, with Hades and Persephone’s aging relationship mirrored by Orpheus and Eurydice’s relatively new one. Anyway, unionize.
Jasper in Deadland-- If you know the myth of Orpheus and Eurydice, it’s like that, except capitalism part 2. Jasper is a teen who’s best friend Agnes is pretty much the one good thing left in his life. His mom left, he got kicked off the swim team (he’s manic pixie dream boy in this, especially for swimming), and Agnes dies at the beginning trying to show Jasper that she’s brave and he should be too. So, he bravely ventures into Deadland to find her, meeting Gretchen the tour guide along the way. He also finds out that since he’s still living, he can bring memories back to the dead. Songs like “Stroke by Stroke” (he’s uh, definitely a teen, guys) and “Living Dead” (I shared a prinxiety animatic of that on here a while ago). They blend Greek, Norse, Egyptian, Christian, and whatever Dante’s Inferno counts as together to create Deadland. Story’s kinda hard to follow from the soundtrack, so if u wanna learn how it all ties together message me.
Death Note Musical-- Okay babes, here’s where it gets tough. It was written originally in English, and there is a spectacular English concept album, but the only productions have been in South Korea, Japan, and I think Taiwan. Listen to it anyways, find a bootleg of it with english subtitles. It has so much gay tension and also a truly ethereal character who seems to be a lesbian who is also either demisexual or demiromantic. If any of y’all saw the anime like me, it kind of cuts out the arc after episode 26. I personally thought it was actually a better story for it.
Alice by Heart-- Okay, this one makes me fucking cry every goddamn time. In WW2, these poor goddamn kids are all alone in the Tube System (is that what y’all call it? genuinely asking here) with none of their parents but still some grownups. Alice’s best friend Alfred is dying of tuberculosis, and to try to have one last thing together they start reading Alice in Wonderland, only for Nurse Hart to rip it apart to try to separate healthy Alice from dying-from-TB Alfred. It doesn’t work, and Alice proclaims she “knows it all by heart”, She tries to linger in the story with Alfred to have more time with him, he keeps trying to move it along because he’s dying and wants to finish it one last time. Themes are growing up and grief I guess.
Last I checked, there is a bootleg for all of these on youtube. Have fun!

Haha hi, jayfoei!mafia anon here! I'm really glad you liked the idea!! I was honestly cracking up at your response and you are so right with everything you added like it would just be so so perfect!! Protective foei and smitten jay is literally everything
Now I'm not making any promises, I'm super busy already with essays and such, buuut I know this idea won't leave me alone so I'm gonna try and at least plan the fic and see how we go. Soo I'm gonna take you up on your offer here and ask you a question (these may be frequent questions if I get stuck at all so tell me if I'm being at all annoying by popping into your inbox ajjsjs). I'm kind of new to Thai media/bls, and like I said don't know much about honorifics so what ones do you think foei and Jay would use for each other? (If you're not sure that's totally fine too)
Hope you're having a great day! And happy Easter 🥰
HI ANON HELLO im so happy to hear from you again!!!! hope you know i haven't stopped thinking about the jayfoei mafia!au in these past couple of days IT'S JUST. SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!! so thank you again for sharing it with me!!!!
as i said before, please don't feel any pressure about writing it!! it would be great if you can do it, but real life always comes first and even just sharing thoughts and ideas like this is really fun too!!! either way im here to give you my full support, so please feel free to ask me anything!! you won't ever annoy me and i will try to reply to you as best as i can
im far from being an expert on thai's language and culture, but i did do a lot of research on thai's pronouns and honorifics (it still doesn't mean that i won't make any mistakes though, so i already apologize if there are any) and i've actually already made a post about which ones i think jay and foei would use for each other (because im clearly SO normal about them sjkfgjdf)
to sum it up, i personally see jay and foei as being the same age, so in this case honorifics don't really come into play, or at least not as much as if they had an age difference. i do think foei would use 'khun' for jay at the beginning (so he'd call him 'khun jay' or 'khun gemini'), mostly because in the canon universe jay is still lian's business partner, so there's a certain amount of respect foei feels like he has to show him, and i think this works pretty well in the mafia!au too, because if jay has been in the business longer foei may think of him as having a higher status (even if jay is no longer part of that world)
on the other hand, i definitely think jay wouldn't use any honorifics for foei, not because he doesn't respect him or see him as inferior, but actually because he wants them to be equal and wishes for them to be closer (which is also why i think foei would drop the 'khun' once they get together, unless he is teasing jay)
anyway, the kind of honorifics they would use really depends on how you see them and their relationship, which may differ from how i see it. if that's the case (like for example if you think one of them is older than the other) and you still need the help, please let me know!!
btw if you haven't seen it yet and want to learn more about thai names and honorifics, i definitely recommend this video perth made on the topic!!!

Hello tumblr user Zaph, do you have some more music to share that remind you of Philza ? I'd be really interested :) thank you !
Also on a totally different note, do you have some piece of advice for people that have difficulties reading (hard to process) to get into philosophy or politics ? They are almost always very dense subject and I don't know where to begin wothout being overwhelmed and shutting down. Feel free to ignore that second question if you prefer :D
*SLAMS THROUGH WALL* YOU WANT MUSIC?? YES
I have a playlist of songs that VERY specifically have the vibe of the Philza and the enchanted forest Her grew in their garden
If you listen to NO other songs, please listen to this one
I have this and then this playlist which is all the songs from the synidcate playlist that are put on there by Phil
That's all of the ones i have top of my head. I haven't actually got a Phil playlist yet, but i might make one.
---
In terms of getting into philosophy and politics? My reccomendation is, if you don't like reading you don't have to read. Video essays are a GREAT way to get into stuff
Thought slime does really good like, easy to understand but thorougher political content, its a good starting place! AND they reccomend smaller creators at the end of the vids in the eyeball zone, I have found so many good CCs via them.
I really fuckin recommend philosophy tube who does really interesting video essays about loads of different subjects. In fact just exploring video essays is a really good place to start. There's also this Youtuber called Tom Nicholas who does more formal-ish videos on topics. Shaun also does good LONG form videos on things, he has a fantastic one on the bell curve which is a really good intro into like... reading political books, if that makes sense. There is also TJ1 who is Excellent and make videos on stuff anywhere from Philosophy, politics n pop-culture.
For Philosophy specifically there's crash course philosophy which i used to listen to to fall asleep. There's also a podcast called drunk philosophy, who are funny and dead easy listening but gets you like, in to philosophy
For actually reading shit?? Fuckin- tbh the only reason i can do it is either i HAVE to for a deadline in uni, or if my brain thinks its interest related, then i can concentrate enough to take any of it in.
But with reading, the more you do the easier it becomes. And like watching video essays and listening to podcasts are great ways to get like,, more familiar with philosophy and politics and the language. You build up the scaffolding to make this shit easier
Horrifyingly, TikTok is also really good for political content made by like.. Real People if you can filter through the absolute Garbage, but its a Very tracking app so like, be warned.
A lot of philosophy and politics IS made deliberately dense. So do not worry about it being hard to read or dull or anything like that. It's often written to be Like That.
What i like about good video essayist is they cite their sources and you can then go read them with the context of the video you watched so it's less like you're trying to break through a brick wall using your head.
Hope this helps!!

So I want to learn about Tuatha de Danann. Are there any books, websites, or videos you’d recommend for someone who knows nothing about Irish lore but wants to learn?
So each of the books I’m about to recommend to you I have pdfs for and am more than willing to share if you come off anon and shoot me a dm.
Ireland’s Immortals: A History of the Gods of Irish Myth by Mark Williams is a book that I love recommending to people starting out- it’s well written, published within the last 5 years, and pretty comprehensive.
Coire Sois, The Cauldron of Knowledge: A Companion to Early Irish Saga by  Tomás Ó Cathasaigh is also great, it’s a collection of 31 essays that serve as companion pieces to the lore.
While by no means about the lore, this next book, Fosterage in Medieval Ireland: An Emotional History by Tom C. O’Donnell, is one that I also recommend as it gives a lot of context into the familial relationships found in the lore that might seem a bit alien from our modern perspective.
I also cannot stress this enough.
THE BEST WAY TO LEARN ABOUT THE GODS IS TO READ THE LORE.
If you don’t have the money to purchase physical copies of translations of our lore, that’s fine- sacred-texts has much of it available for free to read here.
And not to self-plug but I do know how hard it can be to motivate yourself to read the lore, especially when you’re probably not used to medieval syntax- and if you’re interested in reading it as a group I do run a discord server that has a myth-study group and you’re more than welcome to join. Feel free to shoot me a message for an invite link if you’re interested. <3
