It was common knowledge among students of Night raven college that Jade spent plenty of his time out and about in the mountains, searching for his precious mushroom specimens.

Most people on campus found this odd, as they did everything to do with the so called fish mafia, but you had a certain interest around the young man (and whatever piqued his own interest).

That said, it was no surprise that when you waltzed into the kitchen of the empty Mostro lounge, hoping to catch Jade on the off chance he might be there, you found his most recently acquired mushrooms sitting bunched together along a counter in his absence.

As usual, there was a wide variety in shapes, sizes, and colors, each one containing its own propertied to tell it apart from the others, since he had no need to collect multiple of the same species unless it was for a recipe. That was what he had told you.

As you peered along the counter, simply admiring the small treasures Jade worked so hard to collect, you noticed a small clump set aside from the rest, with a note next to them.

You attempted to read said note, but it was unintelligible, and could only lead you to assume Jade had been in a rush when he wrote it. The only word you could make out in the rushed and slanted handwriting was…

Your own name…?

You stared, dumbfounded, at your name in his writing. Something in your stomach fluttered at the sight of it, but you pushed the thought aside as you began to question yourself.

Why had jade written a note about you over his mushrooms..? It was odd indeed, and you found yourself pacing around the kitchen for longer than you’d like to admit trying to figure it out.

Maybe they were set aside for him to give to you..?

Jade did prize his mushrooms, so it made sense that he might think it’d be some sort of compliment to gift them to you… But then again- what where you supposed to do with them, in that case..? You were everything short of a talented cook, and none of your typical recipes included mushrooms- And Jade knew this, since you had yet to try any of his recipes until he offered you some.

“Maybe they’re to eat on their own…?” You mumbled, reaching down and staring intently at the shrooms, which felt as though they stared expectantly at you. Some might think that overthinking something as trivial at this was odd for Jade or the prefect, but when something came from him, you couldn’t help but overthink it as you turned the fungi over in your hand.

Although, once coming to that conclusion, you wasted no time in popping one of said fungi into your mouth.

My my, prefect, not one of your smartest moments…

“If he was going to give it to me anyways, he wont mind me eating one now, so…” You said, words coming out garbled between chomps, your voice sounding as if you were trying to convince yourself of a lie.

And, just like clockwork, the door opened perfectly on cue, making you jolt as you reeled around to see the always-serene face of a certain merman.

“Ah, prefect! Sorry, I wasn’t aware you were here, pearl…” He said, trailing off as he noticed you chewing. He paused, taking a few steps towards you. “What are you- eating, pray tell..?”

You felt yourself begin to sweat as you tried desperately to swallow as quickly as time would allow you.

“U- Um-“ You coughed out, forcing a very unconvincing smile as you swallowed hard. “Just…. A mushroom-“ Oh, you could practically feel the doom that awaited you as Jade’s smile dropped just a bit. You had never seen him look so… nervous.

“…Pearl, what made you think—“

“I’mlikesupersorryIjustthoughtmaybetheywereformeand-“

Your words tripped on each other as thy tumbled out with incredible speed, you failing at providing an Explanation.

Jade only stared at you in an oh so uncomfortable silence as your words faded out.

“…The note I left…” He started, pausing as though deep in thought. “Was to remind me not to give them to you. That’s why your name was there.” He said, then flashing his familiar smile at you, eyes closed as though everything was fine. You blinked.

“Wh- Why-!? A- Am i gonna die-!? Was it poisonous- O- Or—“ This time, the words came out even faster than before in your panic, before Jade raised a hand to silence you, although doing nothing to stop the rising fear in your chest. Or, at least, you thought it was fear. It was an odd feeling, the way your heart was beating so rapidly- But, surely, you told yourself, that was fear. Of the mushrooms. And, obviously, had nothing to do with the man in front of you whom you couldn’t help but notice was handsome in a way you had never thought about before, which, for some reason, made the heat in your cheeks grow hotter, and—

“Prefect.” Jade interrupted you from your racing thoughts. 

You glanced up at him, only to find yourself unable to meet his eyes as your face grew even more warm.

“Those mushrooms were….” He paused, and you could just barely notice a faint blush on his cheeks as well. “A form of Aphrodisiac.”

You couldn’t stop the rapid-fire thoughts as you turned bright red, vaguely remembering Crewel mentioning that word… ‘Aphrodisiac’… A drug that brings about.. desires….? No, no- you thought, that had to be wrong- Jade was your friend! Your close friend- Your- Friend. Your friend who you… definitely.. did not.. have any sort of… desire.. for… 

But none of that mattered. the only thing occupying your mind was the fact that he was, in fact, kissing you.

You could barely register it but you were sure you felt something on your lips, something so sweet and perfect that smiled in a way that only Jade could when he kissed you with more force than you thought was possible, and in the back of your mind you knew you that in this moment you would go much further than kissing him as ‘just friends.’

You’d always known that Floyd despised mushrooms, so it made sense that Jade would end up offering them to you, stating that Azul was busy and he needed a taste tester for a new kind of soup he’d been trying.

However, he had a certain glint in his eye that made you think he just might have ill motives… and, knowing Jade, that wasn’t out of the question either. The most suspicious thing was that he had specifically asked you to eat when you were around Floyd- His excuse was “So that you may see his annoyed expression and enjoy it the way I do”, or something of the likes of that, but overall his smirk said otherwise.

However, the soup smelled really nice, and you were too insecure to refuse him, especially when he loomed over you, sharp teeth shining as he did so.

And so, here you were, sitting across from Floyd, a small bowl of mushroom soup in front of you, and Floyd’s face scrunched up in disgust just as Jade had said would happen.

“Ew.” He stated, eyes narrowing down at the bowl in front of you, a small spoon stirring through it in a feeble attempt at stalling from you. “Why shrooms? They’re so gross. And jade is always on about ‘em. Which makes them more gross.”

You stopped your stirring before lifting a small spoonful of your meal to your lips, hesitating slightly at the memory of Jade’s smirk, before gulping it down quickly.

“I like them.” You stated, trying to avoid conflict. “And jade offered, so…”

Floyd’s face only contorted further. “They’re Jade’s mushrooms? I don’t trust that…” His expression darkened. “He’d better not be plotting to hurt my Shrimpy, or…”

As Floyd went on about things he could potentially do to his brother, you felt an unfamiliar warmth creep up your cheeks at the word ‘My’. You were… his…?

You shook your head and gulped down another spoonful of soup to dismiss the thought.

“They’re just mushrooms.” You mumbled. “What’s the worst they could do..?” You breathed, bringing yet another spoonful to be swallowed.

Floyd deadpanned at you. “A. Lot.” He stated matter-of-factly.

“Well, then, smell it or something. You’d know if there was something bad, right? Then you can be sure.” The words left your lips carelessly, as you pushed the bowl over to him, just hoping he would stop talking about Jade. This wasn’t about Jade- You wanted him to talk about you, to think about you, to-

Since when had you been thinking thoughts like this…?

Once again, you brushed aside the though as you lifted your gaze to Floyd’s, his eyes trained on you as he sniffed the bowl just as you had absentmindedly asked, although his gaze on yours did nothing to stop the way your train of thought had been going.

After a moment’s thought, realization dawned on Floyd’s eyes and a blush crept up on his face as he slid the bowl aside- not back to you, but away from the both of you.

“Hm? Is it bad..?” You asked, genuinely surprised at his behavior.

“I…” He trailed off. You caught yourself going red again- Floyd at a loss for words was a rare sight to see, and the blush on his face made something in your chest tighten-

“I think he put an Aphrodisiac or some shit in there, Shrimpy—“ His voice stopped your thought, but only momentarily as that word rang out in your head. Aphrodisiac? Isn’t that-….?

The feeling in your chest only grew as you opened your mouth to speak.

“Wha…?” You mumbled, barely able to compute anything other than how good looking he seemed to be in that moment, the way his hair fell into his eyes… you couldn’t take your eyes off him.

“Shrimpy… I.. ah….” Similar thoughts ran through his mind to his own surprise. Why was your blush so damn cute!? And why did he want to get so close to you in that moment…!? He couldn’t understand, but without any warning he felt himself leaning in closer to you.

And, oh god, when your faces met it felt like nothing had ever tasted better, nothing had ever felt so good, the way his arms wrapped around your waist and how you couldn’t help yours from clinging to his neck as you leaned back until you could feel your back against the wall… As much as he hated to admit it, without Jade’s mushrooms, Floyd wouldn’t have had the courage to do this…

And now that he did, he wasn’t stopping any time soon.

@paramythas asked: A notification makes Jade's phone buzz. Then another, and another. Kalim's inability to send only one text at once rears its head once again.

Kalim: Jamil's forcing some of the guys to clean the main room. Kalim: So I decided to help, because it seems kind of mean to make them do all the work.

Something he might not have thought too much about, before, but now strikes him as supremely imbecilic. He's doing his best not to just stand by and stay the same person he always was before.

Kalim: Cleaning is so borinnnng though. Kalim: [attachment]

The picture is of Kalim, settled atop his flying carpet, dusting along the top of a shelf with a befuddled look on his face. It's as if he can't understand how it got so dusty up there.

Kalim: Oh, oops- I think Jamil's mad I'm helping. Kalim: Gotta go! I'll see you later for movie night though! Kalim: [attachment]

Another picture of Kalim flashing a peace sign around the duster in his hand, and a frustrated-looking Jamil in the background. It's the last he gets until a little while later. The Scarabia common room looks almost flawlessly clean- save for the sight of Kalim, a bucket of water upended over his head, his magic carpet shaking more water onto him as he laughs and tries to shove it away to keep the water from spreading onto the other, normal carpets.

generally speaking, jade did not use his phone a lot. not as much as his brother did anyway. and the majority of people knew he was busy- knew not to expect much back until later. so at the first notification, he doesn't give it a second thought, and makes a little note to check it on his break. -- however, at the third ping in his pocket he realizes who it is. and takes a moment to check it, stepping in the back so he isn't in the way of anyone on the floor.

cute. a low hum following, as he admired the photo a moment. the light within scarabia's dorm was so warm, and complimented kalim quite well. after a moment more, jade saves the picture.

he was about to reply when kalim sends another text:

of course, jamil's lack of faith in his ability was hardly an issue before. jade thought so little of it-- but now it was annoying. he was always on his best behavior whenever he visited the dorm. but the occasional jab could not be helped. he knows there is more to the two of them than he's privy to. but that doesn't change anything, and does not justify the way jamil went about it. it was too far, even for them--

jade: Yes, I will see you later. 😊

then, he saves that photo too. because he can't not save it, as he has most of the others kalim has sent him. and just in time for his brother to hook his chin over his shoulder-- and peek at his phone. jade manages to turn the screen off before floyd actually absorbs any of what he saw. and instead reaches over to pinch his cheek and give it a tug. " and you get on me for slacking off while i'm spose to be working, cmon man. " jade shoves him with a hand to his face, and slips away.

" it was important floyd. " he smiles, then leaves back out to the front.

“shit! ow—“

leona groans, feeling the stinging pain of alcohol rubbed onto his forehead. spelldrive didn’t go as it usually did.

everything was normal. practice was going well, and everybody was doing the proper training regiments. it was all fun watching leona and everybody practice by a nearby tree. except leona wasn’t practicing this afternoon.

today, he felt like napping right beside you. he laid his head in your lap, sound asleep. this all goes south when some freshmen decide to mess around, sending the disc flying in your direction.

typically leona would’ve been able to divert it with magic, but feeling a little hazy from barely awakening, it hit him straight on the forehead.

now here you both are, present in the infirmary, leona sitting on the cot, and you being his own personal doctor. “i can’t believe the great leona kingscholar got hit by a spelldrive disc. it is truly an honor to witness it first hand.” you joke, causing him to roll his eyes.

“tch.. whatever— FUCK.” it’s funny to see leona in such a state. one where his tough guy act isn’t all the way up. you thought he’d brush off the pain like a man, but surprise! we learn something new everyday.

“haha.. wait here. i need to find bandages.” you walk over to the cabinet, only to find all the boxes of bandages empty. except for one. a bandaid box. you snicker at the sight of them and take a couple out of the box. leona raises a brow as he heard your giggling in the back til you made your way back towards him.

you stood in front of him and placed the bandaids on his forehead. he liked the close proximity. he likes being by your side. you caring for him like this is actually one of his deepest desires. he won’t ever say it aloud of course, but he hopes you take the hints.

“you are now officially cured.” you grin, finally applying the last bandaid. he stood up, looking you in the eyes. he wanted to thank you. wanted to thank you for helping him. wanted to thank you for caring enough about him to do this. to help him.

but leona being leona cannot say thank you. “..I don’t wanna owe you any favors so,” he pulls out his wallet from his pocket and throws it to you. you catch it, nearly dropping all the thaumarks inside on the floor. “go buy somethin’ while you’re at it.”

he ruffles your hair, walking out of the infirmary. you flip through the wallet, it barely closing due to the amount of cards and thaumarks inside. rich boy privileges go crazy. ruggie wasn’t kidding when he said leona was stinkin rich. all you could do was stand there, shocked.

leona walks back out to the field, hearing the team laugh as he approaches. he looks at them with a puzzled look, the laughing becoming unbearable. “oi, what’s so funny? mind tellin’?”

“cute bandaids ya got there, boss. shishishishi..” ruggie chuckles, looking at leona’s super cute and silly unicorn bandaids on his forehead. at first, he’s confused. then he rips a bandaid off and looks at the patterns.

“jade, stop moving!”

you sigh, trying to place a bandaid on jade’s cut. you wanted to help him cook today since mostro lounge has been extremely busy lately. azul had been working him to the bone, so he used his time off as a way to spend time with you.

only to end up back in the kitchen, but whatever. since you’re there, it’s all good. while chopping a mysterious vegetable, (it’s a mushroom..) he accidentally cut his finger. he wasn’t paying attention to where he was cutting. cause he was looking at you.

normally somebody would wince in pain, but jade is jade. so. “oh my, this is unexpected.” he says, as his blood gets on his gloves and contaminates the mushrooms. “oh my what— OH MY GOSH, JADE.” you yell, as he’s abnormally calm about the fact blood was all over the mushrooms.

so now he’s sitting at one of the barstools in mostro lounge as you try to patch up his finger. anytime the bandaid gets remotely close to the cut, he squirms and jerks his hand away. you can’t tell if he’s messing with you or if he’s just sensitive to touch because he still has his dumb polite smile.

“jade. stop. moving.” you grunt, trying to grab his wrist to hold his hand still. “fufu..” his stupid chuckle is usually very nice but it’s just growing irritating.

for some reason he still has the impulse to tease you. even when injured. all you want to do is care for him, so why is he making this so difficult?! is he waiting for something?

oh. that’s an idea.

“jade, may i see your hand?” you ask, putting the bandaid on the counter. he raises a brow, but complies nonetheless. “of course. do be gentle though, im wounded.” well no shit.

you held his hand gently, raising a finger up to your lips. you place a gentle kiss on his finger. not on the wound exactly, but near it. his eyes slightly widened and his cheeks tinted slightly red. he loses his composure for just a moment, giving you time to apply the bandaid onto his cut.

you smile in victory, standing up from your seat. “there, all better!” you winked at him before making your way back to the kitchen. he sat there, dumbfounded. how curious.. if that’s a way to get free kisses..

“oh dear, it appears i had just cut my lower lip. what a shame. it appears i am in need of some assistance.” this wasn’t even five minutes later.

🐍┆JAMIL VIPER

“you scream like a girl.”

you laugh as jamil looks away from you. he couldn’t bear to look you in the eyes. a little earlier, the both of you were sitting in the lounge of ramshackle as comfortable silence filled the air.

he was flipping through pages of a book while you leaned onto his shoulder, playing a game of some sort on your phone.

“..AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA”

that silence was interrupted as you heard a high pitched scream next to you, turning your head to see jamil absolutely mortified and panicked.

“JAMIL?! WHAT IS—“ then you spotted it. the wretched cockroach crawling on the table. he shut his book and threw it at the table, missing. now he’s grabbing all nearby objects to kill the insect.

“JAMIL PLEASE CALM DOWN, PLEASE! FUCK, JAMIL—” he ended up using his magic, but used a lil too much. as you held him back, his leg bumped against the table, causing him to scurry back to the couch.

confirming that the roach had cleared the premises, you sat next to him and checked the bump on his leg. his breaths were heavy and a sweat was across his brow. you would’ve thought he looked insanely attractive if it weren’t for the incident just before.

now he’s embarrassed, his hood is pulled over, and he’s pouting as he looks away from you. “i think you got a small cut, but it should be fine. i’ll go get some bandaids!” you hum, getting up from the cushions to find the box of bandages.

he completely humiliated himself in front of you. he was weak in front of you. and he hates that. “im back and here to repair your boo-boo.” you came back with the box, sitting back down and opening it. you remove a bandaid and slowly apply it til you hear him mutter something.

“sorry.”

“hm? sorry, couldn’t hear ya. mind speaking up for me?” you heard him perfectly fine. he irks before speaking up, his tone hinted with annoyance. “sorry.”

“all is forgiven, my love.” you smile, wrapping your arms around him and pulling him into a hug. he sighs, reciprocating the hug and leaning onto you. “please forget you saw that..” he mumbles, his face practically burning.

you chuckle, playing with loose strands of his hair as the both of you now lied on the couch. “no promises..” he clicked his tongue and rolled his eyes, but placed a quick kiss on your cheek. he shuts his eyes, needing to recharge.

“mhm. love you too, jamil.” you whisper, allowing him to rest on your chest. he fell asleep in no time flat. let him rest. or even better yet, join him!

🏹┆ROOK HUNT

“how’d you fall?”

you ask, seeing as rook lied on the ground. i don’t know how to explain his pose, he’s just a theatre kid.

“never mind the details, ma chère. all that matters is that you had rushed to my rescue!” he smiles as you stood there. the most deadpan expression on your face. “i’ll just go get you bandages and not question it.” “merci!”

you rush to the infirmary, grabbing the bandages and rushing out. if nobody knew better, they’d all have assumed that rook was dead. he hasn’t moved an inch.

“where’d you injure yourself?” you ask, crouching down and inspecting his arms. “non, non. you must guess!” he laughs, sitting up right away. you groan as he initiated such an idea. “rook. im not going to guess—“

“if that is the case, ill be stuck in everlasting pain! it’d be unbearable.” he sighs dramatically, causing you to furrow your brow. “fine. did you injure your leg?” you grumble, checking each limb.

he shook his head, smiling like an absolute idiot. “here, allow me to give you a hint.” he grabs your hand guiding it to the place of the wound. of course he can’t do it without teasing you a little.

he places your hand on his shoulder, his hand, his neck, til eventually he stopped on his cheek. “my injury can be found around here.”

you look at his cheek, but there is no cut, scratch, or bruise to be seen. you raise a brow at him, but he has no shift in reaction. “rook, are you lying to me?” rook shook his head, looking you in the eyes. “I wouldn’t lie to you, mon amour. perhaps you need a closer look.”

before he could even explain what that meant, he pulled you towards him. causing you to fall onto him. “can you see it now?” he asks, staring at you lovingly.

you sigh, pulling a bandage out and placing it onto his lips. his eyes widened, but he wasn’t mad. not in the slightest! he wrapped his arms around you. taking this opportunity for a cuddle session.

despite your “annoyance,” you smiled and laughed slightly. “you’re impossible, rook.”

he nuzzled his head into the crook of your neck, humming happily as you spoke. his fingers intertwined with yours as the sun hit both of your figures. creating a scene resembling one of a fairytale.

💀┆IDIA SHROUD

“you can’t lock yourself into your room because of this.”

you slightly chuckle as you patch up idia’s knee. moments before, his PE class had to do the sprints. looks like he went to class on the wrong day.

while he was running, he tripped on a conveniently placed rock and fell on his knee. ortho quickly went to find you and bring you to idia so that you can comfort him.

he had tears coming from his eyes, which caused ortho to panic. you both carried him to the infirmary since he had an inability to walk. you situated him onto the cot and grabbed some bandages from the cabinets. “don’t worry niisan! the prefect will take good care of you!”

ortho chimed, trying his best to comfort his brother. idia felt his stress lessen, but that doesn’t change the immense pain he was in. “thank you, ortho. but i don’t im ever gonna to go outside again.”

he mumbles, causing ortho to pout. you come back with the bandages, smiling as you sat to the side of the cot. “im gonna have to go explain to coach vargas why you’re not here! hang tight, niisan!”

you waved to ortho, leaving just you and idia in the infirmary. “idia, you’re not going to die because of this.” you smile, placing the bandage onto his knee. idia groans, picking at his fingers. “i looked so cringe just now. definitely not my moment.”

“you didn’t look cringe, idia. you got hurt.” you grabbed his hand and held it in yours. he smiles slightly as you tried to reassure him. it was endearing to him. “thanks.. but i want to lock myself in my room for like ever after this..” he quickly mutters, hoping you wouldn’t hear that. surprise! you heard him.

“no idia, you can’t lock yourself in your room forever after this.” you sigh, realizing this was the man you fell in love with. “what? you can come too. you’d be free from all the normies surrounding you.” he stated bluntly.

“..no.” you hesitantly said, squeezing his hand slightly. you both sat in the infirmary for a few more moments before you sat up and let go of his hand. “can you stand?”

“no.” he quickly replies, not even bothering to try. you stare at him before exhaling deeply. “i’ll bring your switch then. wait here.” he smiled as he watched you exit the room. he appreciated how understanding you were. how you knew what he wanted before he even had to ask. ..well, most of the time anyway.

when you came back, you sat next to him on the cot. you both played smash bros together, playing until the console runs out of batteries. lucky for him, his console lasts for almost an entire week before it runs out of power.

let me just say, he beat your ass in smash bros.

Can I please request twst mc wanting to join the club of their s/o (Riddle, Jade, and Malleus)?

Jade Leech:

Jade is absolutely delighted to add a member to the mountain lovers club, thinking it would be fun to enjoy hiking with another person. That’s two sets of eyes to look for new mushrooms, with the added benefit of getting to have you all to himself. He’d welcome you with open arms as its founder and expected you to take club activities as seriously as he did. You can never tell when he’s teasing or serious and he doubled down, saying he was quite serious about his studies. When you pressed him for what these studies might entail, he gave you a pointed grin and stated you would find out soon.

Malleus Draconia:

Hopefully, you didn’t think this will be a free period where you’ll get Malleus all to yourself because this obsessive fae will be talking about gargoyles. It’s cute to see him get so worked up and passionate about something that most might find silly, though you don’t think you’d get away with it if you mentioned that comment out loud. You liked listening to him talk, especially with the way his eyes lit up when you asked a question that showed you were listening to him talk. He even spoke fondly of getting to talk to a real gargoyle, a true shining experience in his life, and he told you with a smile that finding someone to share his passions with was a true dream.

Riddle Rosehearts:

Riddle welcomed you to the Equestrian Club without hesitation, asking if you were familiar with horses or had ever ridden them before. Regardless of your answer he told you to come to him if you had any questions or needed help, seeming to linger on the ‘to him’ part of it. There’s always some sort of training going on and Riddle stressed the importance of gaining your horse's trust; it seemed to help that your horses were friendly with each other, able to take strolls side by side without butting heads. Cater finds his attention waning, occasionally. Twisting his pen around, he does his best to fight the urge to check his phone. He’s already done it five times this hour. Horrible habits die the hardest.

As sneakily as he can, Cater leans into your side, head leaning into the curve of your shoulder. His emerald eyes straying over the pages of your notebook, trying to find something to amuse himself with.

The moment you felt his gaze on you, you froze up. Hands hastily fumbling across the table, shielding the contents of your notebook from view. As quickly as you managed to react, Cater still managed to catch a tiny little glimpse of what you’ve scribbled onto those lined pages.

Little doodles of… him? Cute tiny drawings doodled onto the very edges of your notes, surrounded with miniature diamonds and quite a number of rosy red hearts.

Immediately, Cater turned away. Covering the lower half of his face with his palm, in an attempt to hold back his squeals of excitement. That’s just so cute of you!

Do you have any more? He’ll love to see them! Cater’s immediately wiggling a little closer to your side, poking at your notebook until you let him flip through the pages.

Aw, why are you embarrassed? You make him look totally adorable in those doodles!

Cater tries to draw a little sketch of his own right next to one of yours. A little doodle of you, standing right next to him. If you ask him why, he’s just going to chuckle and shoot you a playful grin. Avoiding the question the best way he knows how.

Jade is quiet. Almost silent, even. With his slender frame, he cuts through water with all the elegance of a finely honed blade. Silent, deadly. Even on land, his footfalls are as soft as freshly fallen snow. You’ll never hear him coming.

Which unfortunately works against you most of the time. He seems to relish the feeling of shocking you back to the present, whenever your attention starts to wander. Normally, you’ll hear him snigger, or if he’s feeling a little more teasing that day, the sensation of his ice cold fingers, tracing down the nape of your neck.

Today, it was the latter. As you yelp, reaching for the back of your neck, Jade is silent. His attention currently fixed onto the open notebook on your table, pages fluttering, beckoning him closer.

Gingerly, his fingers reach for the pages. Tracing every stroke on the paper, especially that particularly long stroke of hair framing the subject’s face.

It’s him. In every page.

Little doodles of Jade in the corners, peeking out from every margin. Drawings of him, in the midst of doing various tasks around the Mostro Lounge, along with some particular goofy ones accompanied by giant mushrooms… and hearts. Quite a number of them, actually.

The latest drawing is of him facing forward in class. Eyes narrowed in concentration, chin on his palm. How utterly adorable of you, to capture every single detail of his appearance within a few strokes. You must observe him very dearly.

Jade turns his full attention to you, leaning so much more closer to you than before. His lips curl up into a sly little smile, beaming at you. Now, you don’t have to be so secretive about it, you little artist.

You know he’s always more then willing to pose for drawings.

Floyd

Floyd shifts around quite a bit, during class. Normally, you’re pretty eager to chat away with him. Unfortunately, today you seemed a little more preoccupied listening to the lesson instead of Floyd.

Now, what fun is that? He’s so bored just sitting around. Well, you being next to him helps, but come on! You’re not even paying him one bit of attention. Instead you were hunched over the table, pen scribbling away furiously.

Floyd stares at your hand as it moves around, his own hand absentmindedly following suit. While his dance danced in circles in the air, Floyd muses silently. It’s hard to see how those sweeping wide strokes of yours could possibly form words.

Leaning towards you, Floyd dips his head onto your shoulder. Curling his lips into an “o”, before puffing a gust of wind onto the skin of your bare neck. Shuddering at the sudden chill, your pen clatters against the table.

Seizing his chance, Floyd’s hand darts over. Those slender fingers of his wrapping around the pages of your book, yanking it sharply to his side.

Leisurely, Floyd flips the book open. Ready to see what his lil’ shrimpy seemed ever so eager to hide.

Sketches of… him. Toothy grin as bright as the sun, beaming away. Y’know, most people find his smile scary. Not… as endearingly as you seem to see it, illustrating it as sweetly as you did.

You drew him zooming around the Night Raven College, leaping into antic after antic. Little hearts follow every doodle, trailing after tiny Floyd. Ain’t that cute?

This is a very specific thing I said to my friends so if they follow your blog then they would know who I am but the whole thing of buy one get two free deal came from something that is common in my country where in local bazaars they sell these showering kits that came with shampoo, conditioner and a bottle of liquid soap my mind clearly infected with twst could only think about the octotrio being one of these packages Azul is the soap, and the twins are the shampoo and conditioner and the three of the products are wrapped with tape so you are forced to get the three which is oddly cute to me but onto the main thing!

I am thinking that since the twins are a bit much more affectionate or aren't as busy as Azul is, you are doing one of your "Nurse/cleaner shirmp" (Floyd gave them the name) on one of the tweels and you guys were in Azul's office so he sighs trying to get attention he wishes that he also got his own nurse/cleaner shirmp affections if he doesn't say it out loud he can and will break his pen/ink flask and oh no! I think Floyd takes the most delight in seeing you care for them like an actual shrimp. He thinks it's endearing and will definitely make efforts to get dirty or mildly hurt so that you'll attend to him.

The other two have their own nicknames for you: Jade calls you and Azul My Pearl/Darling while Azul calls you Angelfish and the twins Dear(s).

It's Azul's way of showing affection, as he is quite reserved with his affections, at least until you're all in private. He does envy the liberal affections that the twins have with you, Floyd in particular doesn't care much about what others think, and Jade generally is more reserved than his brother, but will still give you chaste kisses when saying hello/goodbye. Azul, at most, will hold hands and maybe tuck a loose strand of hair behind your ears, something he often does during quiet moments.

It backfires as the twins also take the opportunity to “care” for Azul. You paced around the Ramshackle Lounge living room, going through a mental checklist of all the things Jade would have you pack for the expedition. Grim sat on the dust couch, curled up and staring at you weirdly.

“Why’re you pacing around like that? It’s weirding me out.” he grumbled, making himself comfortable on the dusty fabric.

“I joined a club.” you said, beaming as your pace quickened, “Jade is going to pick me up soon and then we’re going to go look for mushrooms in the mountains!”

“What?!” Grim jolted up, eyes wide, “You’re going in the mountains? Alone? With Jade?! Henchhuman, do you have a death wish?!”

“Relax, Grimmy. I’ll be alright. I’m really excited for this!” you said, patting his head absentmindedly as you passed by the couch again.

“No problem.” he said, patting your head gently, “I’ve picked a flat trail. It’ll be a simple hike, nothing like what I get up to when I’m alone, I assure you.”

“I’ll be able to handle it once I get proper footwear!” you insisted, swinging the backpack over your shoulder, “So sneakers are fine?”

“Sneakers are fine.” he nodded, holding out his hand, “Shall we?”

“Hey Jade!” Ace yelled, his arms still crossed over his chest, “Nothing better happened to the Prefect, okay?”

You looked back at Ace with a soft smile, affection bubbling up in your chest. These boys were so worried for you. It was kinda sweet, even though he was being really overbearing.

“Nothing is going to happen to them.” Jade turned to look at Ace, catching his gaze, “You are not the only ones on campus that care for them.”

Ace’s shoulders seemed to relax the slightest bit at that, but he was still tense. Deuce said nothing, opting to stare into your eyes.

You knew what he was trying to say without him having to say it.

“Hey, you better come back, Henchhuman! You need to feed me!” Grim grumbled, glaring at Jade.

“I will Grim. Bye guys!” you waved them goodbye as Jade tugged you out of Ramshackle.

Once the door shut, you turned back to Jade. His gaze was clouded with an emotion you couldn’t quite place, his expression betraying nothing.

“Do they normally stay over at Ramshackle?” he murmured, tightening his grip on your hand.

“Oh...?” you flushed at the contact, your brain slowly connecting his statement to Ace and Deuce, “Oh. They...They do, yeah. They’re basically my secondary dormmates.”

“Sure. I don’t see why not. Hornton comes over sometimes too, so adding you to the mix wouldn’t make too much of a fuss. I think.” you grimace, thinking about the way your friends had reacted to Jade before.

The Gomez in this situation. When he looks into your eyes, all you can see is pure love and adoration. You both dance the nights away as you enjoy being close with each other. He thinks you’re absolutely beautiful as you both sway together.

It leaves a warm feeling in his heart when he sees you enter the Mostro Lounge and request to be seated in his section. Once you got your food (which he paid for), he would take his 15 minute break to spend time with you.

I would say he’s fairly positive. More so than his twin, at least. Of course, your positive view is more macabre than normal. Once, while you were dancing, a sparrow landed on a nearby branch and you whispered that it would make for a good trinket. He smiled, glad to finally find someone like him.

Floyd Leech

He would most likely call you ‘Dolphin’ because you’re graceful, intelligent, friendly, and most importantly… you have a darker side to you. Another thing he has noticed is that you're loyal to those you love.

Whenever he has to work a late shift at the Lounge, his bad mood is almost immediately lifted when you walk in the door. He will run over and give you a big squeeze, telling you about how much he missed you. You have a very strong pain tolerance, so only you can handle his hugs.

When you first start acting like your seductive self, he is both flustered and entertained. If he sees you being particularly affectionate, he will pull you into his lap where you both will act all lovey-dovey with each other.

As silly as it is, he gets jealous about how much attention you give your beloved plants. He will sit and pout as you whisper positive affirmations towards the Flytraps you love. Of course, once you finish, you turn around and start cooing at him lovingly and he just melts.

We all know that he has intense mood swings. However, whenever he’s with you and you’re giving him attention he remains happy and content. You’re the one he goes to whenever something upsets him, and sometimes you even come to him because you both have an emotional connection with each other.

You both make a very playful couple. He immediately warms up to you as you do to him. You remind him of royalty: elegant and graceful, friendly and charming. Even Sebek is happy that the two of you found each other.

He loves trying to scare you because it never works. Instead, you put your hands on the side of his face and pull him in for a kiss. Since you do this every time, he makes it a point to try and ‘scare’ you at least twice a day.

He is mostly amused when you bring out your more seductive side. He smiles as you sit yourself on the arm of his chair and run your finger up his neck and move your face closer to his while whispering how much you absolutely love him. He leans even closer, whispering back. Your lips never meet, but it’s enough to make everyone else jealous.

He loves the concept of being a ‘plant parent’, so he will co-parent with you. You have a lovely bed of Nightshade, some Venus Flytraps, Hemlock, and a couple of Ghost Orchids. The orchids are especially valued as they are as odd as the both of you.

You both tend to be very positive. You even have the same macabre interests that you bring up. A lot of the others see you dancing together out of nowhere. No music, just enjoying the time spent in each other’s arms. 

Malleus Draconia

The fact that you 1) aren’t scared of him and 2) are actually quite like him makes him fall so freaking hard for you. The chemistry between the two of you is unfathomable. You can just look into his eyes and he’d look back just lovestruck.

He loves to see you waiting for him to get Ramshackle for your nightly walks. He thinks you look absolutely divine underneath the moon’s pale glow. The things you say are very interesting as well. You have plenty of stories to share about your time with your family, and he has all the time in the world to listen.

Bringing out your seductive side can do one of three things: confuse him, amuse him, or make him flustered, sometimes all 3. If you use human ways of seduction, he will be confused. Thankfully, you had read up on dragon courting rituals. You would wear the emerald that is the heart of his horde as a necklace and would remain close to him at all times. Others would often see you with your arm in his.

He’s glad that you were able to find a hobby that wasn’t destructive. He’s surprised to see that Ramshackle was turned into a sort of greenhouse in itself. He’s also noticed that the plants at the normal greenhouse were thriving more than ever. 

His view on the half-empty-half-full cup changes depending on what happens that day. However, when he’s with you, he can only see the half-full cup. You turn him into a puppy and he longs for you whenever you have to be away. The absolute look of adoration in your eyes puts anything to shame. The way you hold his face in your hands and he holds your waist as you both go in for a soft kiss brings a warm feeling to both of your cold hearts.

(It's strange how it's right next to their room and you three have a door that can connect the two rooms so you can just hop in when you'd like-)

Jamil: he fucking sighs. You're basically another Kalim and he can hardly deal with Kalim himself. Still though he'll offer for you to move into his dorm because 'you get to spend more time with Kalim and wont have to worry about living expenses' he is right about the living part but he just wants to keep an eye on you and make sure you eat enough food and get enough sleep. It's already in your room with all your other things next to his room and make sure to put on the makeup he gifted you. Get ready for dinner he is making his ravioli and cake as a celebration of you joining the family! He already has the adoption papers signed and is ready to change your last name to Vanrouge. You have a bat dad that is willing to stay up with you at three AM watching paranormal activity videos and playing horror games while you two chug energy drinks.
