How Do Private Investigators Track Cell Phones?
Private investigators (PIs) are known for their resourcefulness and ability to uncover information that may seem out of reach for the average person. Among their many skills, tracking cell phones has become a critical tool in modern investigations. Whether working on cases involving missing persons, fraud, infidelity, or corporate espionage, PIs often rely on cell phone tracking to collect crucial evidence.
Tumblr media
But how do private investigators track cell phones? This blog explores the techniques, tools, and ethical considerations involved in this sensitive process.
1. The Basics of Cell Phone Tracking
Cell phone tracking involves determining the location of a device by utilizing the technology it relies on to function—cell towers, GPS, and Wi-Fi networks. Smartphones emit signals that can be intercepted or analyzed to pinpoint their location. While law enforcement agencies have sophisticated tools and legal authority for tracking, private investigators often use alternative methods that stay within legal boundaries.
2. Common Techniques Used by Private Investigators
a. GPS Tracking
GPS (Global Positioning System) tracking is one of the most accurate ways to locate a cell phone. Many modern devices come equipped with built-in GPS chips that constantly communicate with satellites to determine their location. Private investigators might use the following approaches to access GPS data:
Authorized Access: If a private investigator has legal permission (e.g., from the device owner), they can use GPS tracking apps to monitor the phone's location. This is common in cases of missing persons or parental tracking of children.
Location-Sharing Apps: Some apps, like Find My iPhone or Google Find My Device, allow users to share their location. A PI might assist clients in accessing these features, provided they have the right credentials or consent.
b. Cell Tower Triangulation
Cell phones connect to nearby towers for communication, and the distance to these towers can be used to approximate the device's location. By analyzing signal strength from multiple towers, a process known as triangulation can determine the phone's general whereabouts.
Private investigators might collaborate with telecommunications providers to request such data, but this typically requires proper legal justification, such as a subpoena or court order.
c. Wi-Fi Positioning Systems (WPS)
Many modern devices use Wi-Fi signals for location tracking when GPS is unavailable. By identifying the networks a phone connects to, investigators can narrow down the location. This technique is particularly useful in urban areas, where Wi-Fi networks are abundant.
d. Mobile Applications
Private investigators may use third-party apps designed for tracking. These apps often require installation on the target device, making their use legally and ethically complex. Popular tracking apps include:
mSpy: Often marketed for parental control, this app can monitor a phone’s location, messages, and activity.
FlexiSPY: Offers advanced tracking features, but its use must comply with local laws.
Such software is generally legal only if used with the consent of the device owner.
e. Social Engineering
In some cases, private investigators might rely on social engineering techniques to gain access to location data. For example, they might trick the target into sharing their location via a deceptive message or link. While this is less common among reputable PIs, it highlights the importance of staying vigilant against such tactics.
3. Advanced Tracking Methods
a. IMEI and SIM Tracking
Every mobile device has a unique International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) number. Similarly, SIM cards have unique identifiers that can be traced through the network. Private investigators may use IMEI or SIM tracking to locate a device if they have access to the necessary records or tools.
b. Stingray Devices
A Stingray is a portable device that mimics a cell tower, tricking nearby phones into connecting to it. Law enforcement agencies commonly use this technology, but private investigators typically avoid it due to its invasive nature and legal restrictions.
c. Geofencing
Geofencing creates a virtual perimeter around a specific area. If a device enters or exits this area, it triggers an alert. This technique can be used with GPS or mobile app tracking and is often employed in cases involving surveillance or asset protection.
4. Legal and Ethical Considerations
Tracking cell phones is a highly regulated activity due to privacy concerns. Private investigators must adhere to strict legal and ethical guidelines to avoid violating rights or committing crimes.
a. Consent
In most jurisdictions, private investigators can track a cell phone only with the consent of the device owner. For example, a parent might authorize tracking of their child’s phone, or an employer might monitor company-owned devices used by employees.
b. Privacy Laws
Privacy laws vary by country and region but generally prohibit unauthorized tracking. In the United States, the Electronic Communications Privacy Act (ECPA) regulates the interception of electronic communications, including location data. Similarly, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in the EU sets strict rules on personal data collection.
c. Ethical Practices
Reputable private investigators follow ethical practices to maintain professionalism and protect client interests. This includes:
Avoiding illegal tracking methods.
Respecting the privacy of non-consenting individuals.
Providing clear disclosures about the methods used.
Unethical practices, such as installing spyware without consent, can lead to legal repercussions and damage the investigator’s reputation.
5. The Role of Technology
Technology plays a central role in cell phone tracking. From software solutions to hardware tools, PIs have access to a wide range of resources that make their work more efficient. Some commonly used technologies include:
Tracking Apps: As mentioned earlier, these apps offer location-sharing features for authorized users.
Surveillance Tools: Tools like GPS trackers or geofencing systems allow investigators to monitor movement discreetly.
Data Analysis Software: PIs often use software to analyze call records, SMS logs, or app usage patterns, which can provide indirect clues about a person’s location.
6. Challenges in Cell Phone Tracking
Despite advancements, cell phone tracking comes with its challenges:
a. Legal Barriers
Obtaining location data without proper authorization can lead to legal consequences, limiting the methods available to private investigators.
b. Technological Limitations
Signal Interference: GPS tracking may not work in areas with poor satellite coverage, such as tunnels or densely packed buildings.
Device Security: Modern smartphones are equipped with advanced security features that prevent unauthorized access to location data.
c. Ethical Dilemmas
Balancing client demands with ethical considerations can be tricky. Investigators must ensure they don’t overstep boundaries while fulfilling their obligations.
7. Real-World Applications
Private investigators use cell phone tracking in various scenarios:
a. Missing Persons
Cell phone location data can provide vital clues in locating missing individuals, especially in time-sensitive cases.
b. Infidelity Investigations
PIs often track cell phones to gather evidence of infidelity. For example, GPS data might reveal that a spouse visited a suspicious location.
c. Corporate Investigations
In cases of corporate fraud or espionage, tracking company-owned devices can help identify rogue employees or uncover unauthorized activities.
d. Stalking and Harassment Cases
Cell phone tracking can help victims of stalking or harassment by identifying the perpetrator’s movements and providing evidence for legal action.
8. How to Protect Yourself from Unwanted Tracking
While private investigators are bound by legal and ethical guidelines, not everyone operates within the law. To protect yourself from unauthorized tracking:
Disable Location Services: Turn off GPS and location-sharing features when not needed.
Secure Your Device: Use strong passwords, enable two-factor authentication, and regularly update your phone’s software.
Avoid Suspicious Links: Be cautious about clicking on unknown links or downloading apps from unverified sources.
Use Anti-Spyware Apps: These can detect and remove tracking software from your device.
9. Conclusion
Private investigators play an essential role in uncovering the truth, and cell phone tracking is one of the many tools they use to achieve their goals. However, this practice requires a delicate balance of skill, technology, and adherence to legal and ethical standards.
For individuals and organizations seeking the services of a PI, it’s crucial to ensure they work with professionals who operate transparently and within the law. At the same time, understanding the methods and limitations of cell phone tracking can help protect your privacy and make informed decisions when hiring an investigator.
By staying informed about the capabilities and boundaries of cell phone tracking, you can better navigate the complexities of this modern investigative tool.

Ethera Operation!!
You're the government’s best hacker, but that doesn’t mean you were prepared to be thrown into a fighter jet.
Bradley "Rooster" Bradshaw x Awkward!Hacker! FemReader
Part I
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This was never supposed to happen. Your role in this operation was simple—deliver the program, ensure it reached the right hands, and let the professionals handle the breaching.
And then, of course, reality decided to light that plan on fire.
The program—codenamed Ethera—was yours. You built it from scratch with encryption so advanced that even the most elite cyber operatives couldn’t crack it without your input. A next-generation adaptive, self-learning decryption software, an intrusion system designed to override and manipulate high-security military networks, Ethera was intended to be both a weapon and a shield, capable of infiltrating enemy systems while protecting your own from counterattacks in real-time. A ghost in the machine. A digital predator. A weapon in the form of pure code. If it fell into the wrong hands, it could disable fleets, and ground aircraft, and turn classified intelligence into an open book. Governments would kill for it. Nations could fall because of it.
Not that you ever meant to, of course. It started as a little experimental security measure program, something to protect high-level data from cyberattacks, not become the ultimate hacking tool. But innovation has a funny way of attracting the wrong kind of attention, and before you knew it, Ethera had become one, if not the most classified, high-risk program in modern times. Tier One asset or so the Secret Service called it.
It was too powerful, too dangerous—so secret that only a select few even knew of its existence, and even fewer could comprehend how it worked.
And therein lay the problem. You were the only person who could properly operate it.
Which was so unfair.
Because it wasn’t supposed to be your problem. You were just the creator, the brain behind the code, the one who spent way too many sleepless nights debugging this monstrosity. Your job was supposed to end at development. But no. Now, because of some bureaucratic nonsense and the fact that no one else could run it without accidentally bricking an entire system, you had been promoted—scratch that, forcibly conscripted—into field duty.
And your mission? To install it in an enemy satellite.
A literal, orbiting, high-security, military-grade satellite, may you add.
God. Why? Why was your country always at war with others? Why couldn’t world leaders just, you know, go to therapy like normal people? Why did everything have to escalate to international cyber warfare?
Which is how you ended up here.
At Top Gun. The last place in the world you wanted to be.
You weren’t built for this. You thrive in sipping coffee in a cosy little office and handling cyber threats from a safe, grounded location. You weren’t meant to be standing in the halls of an elite fighter pilot training program, surrounded by the best aviators in the world—people who thought breaking the sound barrier was a casual Wednesday.
It wasn’t the high-tech cyberwarfare department of the Pentagon, nor some dimly lit black ops facility where hackers in hoodies clacked away at keyboards. No. It was Top Gun. A place where pilots use G-forces like a personal amusement park ride.
You weren’t a soldier, you weren’t a spy, you got queasy in elevators, you got dizzy when you stood too fast, hell, you weren’t even good at keeping your phone screen from cracking.
... And now you were sweating.
You swallowed hard as Admiral Solomon "Warlock" Bates led you through the halls of the naval base, your heels clacking on the polished floors as you wiped your forehead. You're nervous, too damn nervous and this damned weather did not help.
"Relax, Miss," Warlock muttered in that calm, authoritative way of his. "They're just pilots."
Just pilots.
Right. And a nuclear warhead was just a firework.
And now, somehow, you were supposed to explain—loosely explain, because God help you, the full details were above even their clearance level—how Ethera, your elegant, lethal, unstoppable digital masterpiece, was about to be injected into an enemy satellite as part of a classified mission.
This was going to be a disaster.
You had barely made it through the doors of the briefing room when you felt it—every single eye in the room locking onto you.
It wasn’t just the number of them that got you, it was the intensity. These were Top Gun pilots, the best of the best, and they radiated the kind of confidence you could only dream of having. Meanwhile, you felt like a stray kitten wandering into a lion’s den.
Your hands tightened around the tablet clutched to your chest. It was your lifeline, holding every critical detail of Ethera, the program that had dragged you into this utterly ridiculous situation. If you could’ve melted into the walls, you absolutely would have. But there was no escaping this.
You just had to keep it together long enough to survive this briefing.
So, you inhaled deeply, squared your shoulders, and forced your heels forward, trying to project confidence—chin up, back straight, eyes locked onto Vice Admiral Beau "Cyclone" Simpson, who you’d been introduced to earlier that day.
And then, of course, you dropped the damn tablet.
Not a graceful drop. Not the kind of gentle slip where you could scoop it back up and act like nothing happened. No, this was a full-on, physics-defying fumble. The tablet flipped out of your arms, ricocheted off your knee, and skidded across the floor to the feet of one of the pilots.
Silence.
Pure, excruciating silence.
You didn’t even have the nerve to look up right away, too busy contemplating whether it was physically possible to disintegrate on command. But when you finally did glance up—because, you know, social convention demanded it—you were met with a sight that somehow made this entire disaster worse.
Because the person crouching down to pick up your poor, abused tablet was freaking hot.
Tall, broad-shouldered, with a head of golden curls that practically begged to be tousled by the wind, and, oh, yeah—a moustache that somehow worked way too well on him.
He turned the tablet over in his hands, inspecting it with an amused little smirk before handing it over to you. "You, uh… need this?"
Oh, great. His voice is hot too.
You grabbed it back, praying he couldn't see how your hands were shaking. “Nope. Just thought I’d test gravity real quick.”
A few chuckles rippled through the room, and his smirk deepened like he was enjoying this way too much. You, on the other hand, wanted to launch yourself into the sun.
With what little dignity you had left, you forced a quick, tight-lipped smile at him before turning on your heel and continuing forward, clutching your tablet like it was a life raft in the middle of the worst social shipwreck imaginable.
At the front of the room, Vice Admiral Beau Cyclone Simpson stood with the kind of posture that said he had zero time for nonsense, waiting for the room to settle. You barely had time to take a deep breath before his voice cut through the air.
“Alright, listen up.” His tone was crisp, commanding, and impossible to ignore. “This is Dr Y/N L/N. Everything she is about to tell you is highly classified. What you hear in this briefing does not leave this room. Understood?”
A chorus of nods. "Yes, sir."
You barely resisted the urge to physically cringe as every pilot in the room turned to stare at you—some with confusion, others with barely concealed amusement, and a few with the sharp assessing glances of people who had no clue what they were supposed to do with you.
You cleared your throat, squared your shoulders, and did your best to channel even an ounce of the confidence you usually had when you were coding at 3 AM in a secure, pilot-free lab—where the only judgment you faced was from coffee cups and the occasional system error.
As you reached the podium, you forced what you hoped was a composed smile. “Uh… hi, nice to meet you all.”
Solid. Real professional.
You glanced up just long enough to take in the mix of expressions in the room—some mildly interested, some unreadable, and one particular moustached pilot who still had the faintest trace of amusement on his face.
Nope. Not looking at him.
You exhaled slowly, centering yourself. Stay focused. Stay professional. You weren’t just here because of Ethera—you were Ethera. The only one who truly understood it. The only one who could execute this mission.
With another tap on your tablet, the slide shifted to a blacked-out, redacted briefing—only the necessary information was visible. A sleek 3D-rendered model of the enemy satellite appeared on the screen, rotating slowly. Most of its details were blurred or omitted entirely.
“This is Blackstar, a highly classified enemy satellite that has been operating in a low-Earth orbit over restricted airspace.” Your voice remained even, and steady, but the weight of what you were revealing sent a shiver down your spine. “Its existence has remained off the radar—literally and figuratively—until recently, when intelligence confirmed that it has been intercepting our encrypted communications, rerouting information, altering intelligence, and in some cases—fabricating entire communications.”
Someone exhaled sharply. Another shifted in their seat.
“So they’re feeding us bad intel?” one of them with big glasses and blonde hair asked, voice sceptical but sharp.
“That’s the theory,” you confirmed. “And given how quickly our ops have been compromised recently, it’s working.”
You tapped again, shifting to the next slide. The silent infiltration diagram appeared—an intricate web of glowing red lines showing Etherea’s integration process, slowly wrapping around the satellite’s systems like a virus embedding itself into a host.
“This is where Ethera comes in,” you said, shifting to a slide that displayed a cascading string of code, flickering across the screen. “Unlike traditional cyberweapons, Ethera doesn’t just break into a system. It integrates—restructuring security protocols as if it was always meant to be there. It’s undetectable, untraceable, and once inside, it grants us complete control of the Blackstar and won’t even register it as a breach.”
“So we’re not just hacking it," The only female pilot of the team said, arms crossed as she studied the data. “We’re hijacking it.”
“Exactly,” You nodded with a grin.
You switched to the next slide—a detailed radar map displaying the satellite’s location over international waters.
“This is the target area,” you continued after a deep breath. “It’s flying low-altitude reconnaissance patterns, which means it’s using ground relays for some of its communication. That gives us a small window to infiltrate and shut it down.”
The next slide appeared—a pair of unidentified fighter aircraft, patrolling the vicinity.
“And this is the problem,” you said grimly. “This satellite isn’t unguarded.”
A murmur rippled through the room as the pilots took in the fifth-generation stealth fighters displayed on the screen.
“We don’t know who they belong to,” you admitted. “What we do know is that they’re operating with highly classified tech—possibly experimental—and have been seen running defence patterns around the satellite’s flight path.”
Cyclone stepped forward then, arms crossed, his voice sharp and authoritative. “Which means your job is twofold. You will escort Dr L/N’s aircraft to the infiltration zone, ensuring Ethera is successfully deployed. If we are engaged, your priority remains protecting the package and ensuring a safe return.”
Oh, fantastic, you could not only feel your heartbeat in your toes, you were now officially the package.
You cleared your throat, tapping the screen again. Ethera’s interface expanded, displaying a cascade of sleek code.
“Once I’m in range,” you continued, “Ethera will lock onto the satellite’s frequency and begin infiltration. From that point, it’ll take approximately fifty-eight seconds to bypass security and assume control."
Silence settled over the room like a thick cloud, the weight of their stares pressing down on you. You could feel them analyzing, calculating, probably questioning who in their right mind thought putting you—a hacker, a tech specialist, someone whose idea of adrenaline was passing cars on the highway—into a fighter jet was a good idea.
Finally, one of the pilots—tall, broad-shouldered, blonde, and very clearly one of the cocky ones—tilted his head, arms crossed over his chest in a way that screamed too much confidence.
“So, let me get this straight.” His voice was smooth, and confident, with just the right amount of teasing. “You, Doctor—our very classified, very important tech specialist—have to be in the air, in a plane, during a mission that has a high probability of turning into a dogfight… just so you can press a button?”
Your stomach twisted at the mention of being airborne.
“Well…” You gulped, very much aware of how absolutely insane this sounded when put like that. “It’s… more than just that, but, yeah, essentially.”
A slow grin spread across his face, far too entertained by your predicament.
“Oh,” he drawled, “this is gonna be fun.”
Before you could fully process how much you already hated this, Cyclone—who had been watching the exchange with his signature unamused glare—stepped forward, cutting through the tension with his sharp, no-nonsense voice.
“This is a classified operation,” he stated, sharp and authoritative. “Not a joyride.”
The blonde’s smirk faded slightly as he straightened, and the rest of the pilots quickly fell in line.
Silence lingered for a moment longer before Vice Admiral Beau Cyclone Simpson let out a slow breath and straightened. His sharp gaze swept over the room before he nodded once.
“All right. That’s enough.” His tone was firm, the kind that left no room for argument. “We’ve got work to do. The mission will take place in a few weeks' time, once we’ve run full assessments, completed necessary preparations, and designated a lead for this operation.”
There was a slight shift in the room. Some of the pilots exchanged glances, the weight of the upcoming mission finally settling in. Others, mainly the cocky ones, looked as though they were already imagining themselves in the cockpit.
“Dismissed,” Cyclone finished.
The pilots stood, murmuring amongst themselves as they filed out of the room, the blonde one still wearing a smug grin as he passed you making you frown and turn away, your gaze then briefly met the eyes of the moustached pilot.
You hadn’t meant to look, but the moment your eyes connected, something flickered in his expression. Amusement? Curiosity? You weren’t sure, and frankly, you didn’t want to know.
So you did the only logical thing and immediately looked away and turned to gather your things. You needed to get out of here, to find some space to breathe before your brain short-circuited from stress—
“Doctor, Stay for a moment.”
You tightened your grip on your tablet and turned back to Cyclone, who was watching you with that unreadable, vaguely disapproving expression that all high-ranking officers seemed to have perfected. “Uh… yes, sir?”
Once the last pilot was out the door, Cyclone exhaled sharply and crossed his arms.
“You realize,” he said, “that you’re going to have to actually fly, correct?”
You swallowed. “I—well, technically, I’ll just be a passenger.”
His stare didn’t waver.
“Doctor,” he said, tone flat, “I’ve read your file. I know you requested to be driven here instead of taking a military transport plane. You also took a ferry across the bay instead of a helicopter. And I know that you chose to work remotely for three years to avoid getting on a plane.”
You felt heat rise to your cheeks. “That… could mean anything.”
“It means you do not like flying, am I correct?”
Your fingers tightened around the tablet as you tried to find a way—any way—out of this. “Sir, with all due respect, I don’t need to fly the plane. I just need to be in it long enough to deploy Ethera—”
Cyclone cut you off with a sharp look. “And what happens if something goes wrong, Doctor? If the aircraft takes damage? If you have to eject mid-flight? If you lose comms and have to rely on emergency protocols?”
You swallowed hard, your stomach twisting at the very thought of ejecting from a jet.
Cyclone sighed, rubbing his temple as if this entire conversation was giving him a migraine. “We cannot afford to have you panicking mid-mission. If this is going to work, you need to be prepared. That’s why, starting next week you will train with the pilots on aerial procedures and undergoing mandatory training in our flight simulation program.”
Your stomach dropped. “I—wait, what? That’s not necessary—”
“It’s absolutely necessary,” Cyclone cut in, his tone sharp. “If you can’t handle a simulated flight, you become a liability—not just to yourself, but to the pilots escorting you. And in case I need to remind you, Doctor, this mission is classified at the highest level. If you panic mid-air, it won’t just be your life at risk. It’ll be theirs. And it’ll be national security at stake.”
You inhaled sharply. No pressure. None at all.
Cyclone watched you for a moment before speaking again, his tone slightly softer but still firm. “You’re the only one who can do this, Doctor. That means you need to be ready.”
You exhaled slowly, pressing your lips together before nodding stiffly. “Understood, sir.”
Cyclone gave a small nod of approval. “Good. Dismissed.”
You turned and walked out, shoulders tense, fully aware that in three days' time, you were going to be strapped into a high-speed, fighter jet. And knowing your luck?
You were definitely going to puke.

Note
what are some of your favorite "hacks" for working with an ADHD brain?
I love optimizing my house to make things easier. Stuff that works for me:
Phone chargers in every spot where I tend to hang out (bed, couch, desk, kitchen table). They need to be long chargers, so I can lie down however I want, not fold myself uncomfortably because it's too short.
Bins where I tend to hang out, always at arms reach. I need to be able to immediately throw the trash or it'll stay there forever.
I removed the doors to the pantry, from my closet, I took off the drawers of the fridge, so I can always see what's in there and reduce the lack of object permanence.
I have a ton of clothes, so I can do laundry like, once every two weeks, or sometimes in dire circumstances, once a month.
Dry shampoo and baby wipes for the times where even showering is too hard.
Snacks and granola bars when eating is too hard.
I fold my clothes vertically in the drawers so I can see them all and stop forgetting they exist.
My jewelery is in transparent plastic boxes with little divisions (they're craft boxes from the dollar store). I can see what's in there and again STOP FORGETTING THEY EXIST
The phone alarm is not enough to wake me up so I got an old fashioned radio alarm and placed it outside my room. It's hell, but whatever it takes.
Hooks over doors, in every room. In my bedroom, that's where I hang my jeans, hoodies, whatever I use often.
On the doors again, shoe organizers, the kinds you hang. That's where the hats, mittens, scarves, belts, end up.
Never closed storage, always open shelves. Closed storage is where things go die.
The hooks near the front door are for keys but also small earphones, since I only need them when I go out. (the earphones are the ones with cable because i lose the airbuds and never remember to charge them)
Cleaning wipes in every room.
Face cleaning wipes on every desk. Careful not to confuse them.
The mop is the kind with a water bottle attached where you just spray and clean. That's like a million steps removed and you can easily clean that tomato sauce stain.
So many shelves, guys, I added shelves on the top of dressers. Things I use rarely go in labeled transparent plastic bins. always transparent.
Actually everything needs its own spot. Mess comes from things that have no specific spot. I'm still figuring out how to optimise some stuff. This week I bought a modular shoe rack from the dollar store, assembled it vertically, and it fit in a corner of the bathroom. Now I know where towels can go.
The spots where I hang out need to be comfortable. My bed, the couch, the desk, there's always a blanket, a fan, a humidifier near. Discomfort is the concentration killer.
A huge pan. I need to be able to cook massive portions because I don't cook often. My go to recipe is tons of veggies in a spaghetti sauce.
Boxes to drop my hairties, earrings, etc, in every spot I hang out.
Seriously, shelves, bins, dividers, displays, presenters, the dollar store is a treasure trove of adhd tools. The best ailes are: home organisation, crafts, school supplies, and strangely, makeup organizers. The point is to find the way to organize your stuff so it pleases your brain, and make living and cleaning easier. You go with your brain, not against it.
.... that’s most of it, I think. also no amount of organization will beat medication and therapy, but it all comes together for an easier life.
(oh yeah, this might confuse you into thinking my house is clean. is it definitely not.)

Hacker!Scaramouche has your phone and laptop/computer bugged with his own personally made virus, which basically acts as a listening device. He can also remotely access both devices without you even knowing.
Hacker!Scaramouche who basically knows everything about you. He can hack into the government database to find out any personal information you have. Any records, all the names of your family members; he can just find out with a tap of his finger.
Hacker!Scaramouche knows your whereabouts at all times, a tracking software installed into your phone which you’ll never find. You can be in any part of the world and he’d still be able to find you. You don’t have your phone with you? Not a problem, he’ll just assess the satellite and look for you.
Hacker!Scaramouche who because of the virus on your phone, he pretty much listens to you go about your day. In this day and age, a person’s smartphone is an essential tool after all and he knows you’d always have it with you. He can be going about his day and your voice would be heard from this headphones. What you’re saying as you browse the internet, your personal mumblings - he hears them all. Especially the phone calls you have with other people.
Hacker!Scaramouche knows your current interests and wants. He knows you have that item in your basket on your shopping app that you’re putting off buying. So, he makes things easier for you and buys it for you. He’ll have it delivered straight to your house. A little gift from him.

Finally Getting Help (pt 3)
first | last | Masterpost | Next
What Tim and Bruce found was completely ridiculous. It really wasn’t hard to find the Doctors Fenton’s website but it was ridiculous! It was outdated and gaudy with animations of cartoony ghosts everywhere. If it hadn’t been for how clear Danny was about his parents' names Tim would have skipped right over it. But when he got past the terrible website design and started reading it his stomach just dropped lower and lower.
The writing was clean and scientific though it couldn’t disguise the malicious delight they took in tearing the creatures they called ‘ghosts’ apart. Whatever these ghosts really were Danny had been internalizing this attitude about Himself for years! They also bragged about their weapons and their government contract. So whether that was true or not Danny hadn’t been lying or delusional, it was his parents. And regardless of what these ghosts actually were it was obvious they were supernatural so RR sent a link to the website to Zatana.
(link)
RR: What do you think?
Tana: Lol is this a joke?
RR: I wish, I know it looks like one but no, this is deadly serious.
Tana: Hang on
Red Robin put down his phone to give Zatana the time to read over the site and looked more into Maddy and Jack Fenton while she did. He found their graduation certificates, and pictures of them in college with what must have been a much younger Vlad. So they were actually doctors of some sort, they had their doctorate, though that didn’t exactly make it any less likely they had gone fully off the rails now.
His phone dinged and he picked it up to see one short message from Zatana.
Tana: I’m coming to the cave.
Tim sighed and put his phone back down, spinning his chair to face B who was hunched over the computer typing furiously. “Zatana is on her way, I asked for her opinion of the Fenton’s research and she must think it’s big.” He said as he dug out a domino mask.
“Hm,” B sounded and went to get his cowl. “Report?”
“The Doctors Fenton are doctors, they got their doctorates though I don’t know in what yet. They’ve been friends with Vlad since university and they certainly at least think they’re studying ghosts. Their website has articles on behaviours and biology, and how to hunt and hurt ghosts. They brag about a government contract.” Tim summarized. “You?”
“The Ghost Investigation Ward does exist and they are a government agency but they only seem to be active in the town of Amity Park and they’re so inept! It wasn’t hard to hack them, they’re trying to sound mysterious and a little dangerous talking about protecting humanity from invasions from other worlds but I don’t think they’re actually that competent,” Batman said with a scowl.
“The only reason we didn’t know about this was because we weren’t looking! And it’s possible Danny is right and they were jamming calls from Amity to the JL, but I have a terrible feeling what actually happened if that the call came through and someone heard them talking about ghosts and rogue government agencies, assumed it was a prank and blocked them,” Bruce said massaging his temples.
“Ah,” Tim said, his heart dropping at how plausible that sounded. Could they have saved Danny before, if they had taken that call seriously.
“And Vlad is the mayor of his town, there are articles about Danny fighting him in public. It seems like everyone knew their relationship was antagonistic at best and No One defended him. The GIW also listed him in their special thanks for helping fund them. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s been using them as a tool to threaten and control Danny.” Batman said with cold fury. Tim took a deep breath, and exhaled slowly.
“We weren’t able to protect him, but we will avenge him. And we’ll keep him safe Now,” Tim reminded his father. Privately thinking that as soon as he could he was going to tell Jason about this so they could Really make sure Vlad never came near Danny again. An arrest just wasn’t strong enough for a man like that. He wasn’t going to tell Bruce that though, obviously.
The sound of the Zeta tube interrupted their moment as Zatana arrived, looking slightly more ruffled then she usually did. She must have really rushed here, which was a bit worrying.
“Zatana,” Batman greeted.
“Hello Batman, before we talk I need to check your wards.” She said already walking past them.
“Hm,” Batman sounded, making RR smile a little, how Batman made that sound mean so many different things always sort of amazed him.
“I need to check the ones on your home too. And I’d like to meet the boy you have under your care,” She said briskly.
“How did you know about the boy?” Batman asked gruffly.
“Lucky guess,” she said briskly, her hands glowed as she walked around the cave, making seemingly random gestures as if touching or pulling on invisible threads. None of the bats really understood magic so they left her to it. When she was done they let her up into the manner, she knew their identities already after all and she checked all the wards on the home very thoroughly, occasionally casting spells to reinforce them. They collected Dick and Damian trailing after them curiously as they went as well.
“Alright, can I meet the boy now?” She asked, turning towards Bruce who crossed his arms and puffed out his chest a bit.
“Not till you explain to us what’s going on,” He growled and Zatana looked over the curious stubborn faces surrounding her and sighed.
“Fine,” she allowed, resigned. She rubbed her temples as she looked around for a chair and sunk down into it. “So what the Fentons seem to be referring to as Ghosts are actually denizens of the Infinite Realms, the space in between every world and afterlife. Some of the beings there were once people who died but many aren’t. They’re also known to be very powerful and quite violent though thankfully not particularly interested in the living. The fact that the Government is apparently messing with something like this is very bad news.
“Constantine and I have been keeping half an eye on the situation in Amity Park but they had their own pair of Heroes, Phantom and Red Huntress, who seemed to have the situation well under control so we weren’t all that worried about it. We weren’t tracking the more human elements of the GIW and the Fentons,” She bit her lip and thought for a moment.
“When Tim sent me that website and I was made aware of those, that changed things. What’s worse is the photo the Fentons’ have of their family. Their son… we knew Phantom looked young but ghosts often stay at a younger age than they really are, with how powerful he was we assumed he was Old. But he looks exactly like the Fenton’s son. Did they not notice he was dead or…” She looked around at their faces, apparently getting her answer from their expressions.
“There have been rumours for a long time about a very rare and powerful sort of living dead, humans soaked in the pure energy of the infinite realms resulting in a still living ancient. It’s so rare that people usually think it’s a fairy tale but with the work Phantom’s parents do it makes a sick sort of sense. And what it means is that that boy you have stashed away is basically a baby God and we all have to be very careful.”
There was a heavy silence as they all processed what she was saying. “Are you sure?” Tim asked, uncertainly.
“I won’t be till I meet him, but I’m as sure as I can be without that at the moment,” she said firmly.
Tim sighed and pulled out his phone. “Cas is with him, I’ll text her to see if she’s up to meeting you. If he’s that powerful we don’t want to push him right?” He asked as he typed out a text to Cas.
“Yes. Like I said he’s been acting as a hero in Amity, he seems like a good kid but I have no doubt in my mind if he’s pushed too far we could have a truly apocalyptic situation on our hands,” She said which made Tim swallow thickly.
His phone dinged and he checked it. “Danny is willing to meet you but he’s really tired so go easy on him and don’t stay long,” Tim relayed her message.
“Alright that’s fine, thank you. Show me the way please,” She requested.
Bruce took over, leaving the way. “We don’t want to overwhelm him, I think only I and Zatana should go in, with Cas still there since he seems to feel safe with her,” Bruce informed his children.
“Alright, just tell us everything soon!” Dick demanded and Bruce’s lips twitched up in just the suggestion of a smile as he nodded to them.
He took off his cowl, he wasn’t in his full uniform anyway and he didn’t want to scare Danny. Besides if he had been a hero even if he clocked Bruce he would understand.
“Hello Danny, it’s a pleasure to meet you, I’m Zatana,” She introduced herself s she followed Bruce in. She would have offered her hand to shake but Danny was half hiding behind Cas sitting on the bed.
“It’s nice to meet you too. What’s with the outfit?” He asked curiously which made her laugh.
“I’m a hero, one of the less known ones. I’m part of Justice League Dark which is their supernatural division along with Constantine and Deadman and a few others. He’s a ghost, but I assure you the government hasn’t been giving him any trouble, probably because they knew they wouldn’t get away with it.”
“So I’m just lucky then,” Danny said with a bitter curl to his lips.
“As a hero, I want to ask, are you Phantom?” She asked rather bluntly.
Bruce shivered as the temperature in the room suddenly dropped a few degrees and Danny’s eyes started to swirl with green as he glared at Zatana who managed to barely react. Batman noticed how her back tensed a bit but it was barely there. “You know?” Danny demanded. “You knew about what was going on in Amity and you didn’t help?!”
“I’m very sorry Danny,” She said genuinely. “We knew something was going on, but we didn’t look closely enough. We thought that you were an older ghost just of someone who died young because of your strength, and it looked like things were under control. Normally our involvement wouldn’t have been appreciated, intruding on someone’s haunt, so we didn’t look any closer. I am so sorry we overlooked you but we’re going to make up for it now I promise.
“I’ve checked and reinforced the wards on the house so nothing should be able to come in uninvited, and I’m going to contact the rest of the JLD. We’re going to go to Amity, we’ll figure this out and deal with it I promise.”
The temperature in the room slowly went back up, Danny was still upset, but he didn’t seem like he was about to snap anymore. While Zatana had been talking Cas had started gently rubbing Danny’s back and that seemed to be helping too. After a moment Danny looked up again and nodded, accepting the help.
“The veil must be very thin there, to let so many ghosts through?” Zatana probed gently.
“It is, but more than that two years ago my parents succeeded in building a portal to what they call the Ghost Zone. This kinda green world of floating islands.
“A portal,” Zatana said flatly, blinking rapidly. “To the Infinite Realms?”
“Ah is that what it’s really called? Ya probably? That’s how everyone’s been getting through. How I got my powers too, the ghosts call me a halfa, but I’m not the only one. Vlad’s one too.”
Batman heard Zatana mutter “Two?” softly, baffled and alarmed but she nodded. Bruce filed that information away too, it seemed Vlad was even more of a threat then he’d first appeared to be.
“Alright, I’ll get as many of the JLD together as I can and we’ll head to Amity. We’ll shut down the portal and deal with this.” She said determinedly.
From the look on Danny’s face he didn’t really believe her, but he nodded again and leaned against Cas. “Good luck I suppose,” he muttered and sighed, rubbing his face.
“Just… tell me if you get in over your heads okay, I’m used to dealing with all this stuff.” God he sounded so tired, the poor kid.
“I will, but don’t worry about us, just take care of yourself okay? This is a good place to be, I promise you won’t have to be alone anymore.” Zatana assured him. She probably had more questions, but it was very obvious that Danny was getting tired.
“Bruce is good dad,” Cas chimed in, speaking up for the first time. It embarrassed Bruce a little but he smiled at them and nodded a little.
“Thank you,” Danny said, his shoulder slumped and his back curled. “Can I go to bed now?”
“Of course Chum,” Bruce agreed, starting to shoo Zatana out of the bedroom with Cas on their heels. When they closed the door behind them Bruce heard the lock click quietly closed behind them. He really hoped that Danny would feel safe enough to sleep well.

MAGIC FOR THE CITY DWELLER
CHAPTER ONE: WELCOME TO THE CONCRETE JUNGLE, WHERE MAGIC NEVER SLEEPS
magic isn’t just for the deep woods and moss-covered stones. it’s not limited to candlelit covens or ancient runes etched in a sacred grove. magic is where you are. in the humming neon signs, the flickering streetlamps, the rhythm of bus doors opening and closing, in the energy of walking amongst a crowd on a busy street.
urban magic is about finding the mystical in the mundane, harnessing the city’s restless energy, and using every graffiti tag, liminal space, cracked pavement, and forgotten coin as a tool for enchantment. the city is alive—a churning, breathing, chaotic organism—and if you listen closely, it’s whispering spells in the wind between skyscrapers.
this isn’t some high-brow, ceremonial magic doctrine. here, we work with sigils written on coffee shop napkins, metro card protection spells, and phone screens charged as scrying mirrors. this is magic for the streets, for the punks, for the witches in walk-ups and studio apartments, for the ones who find the divine in the hum of a dive bar at 3 AM.
WHAT MAKES URBAN MAGIC DIFFERENT?
the biggest shift between traditional and urban magic is the environment. instead of sacred groves, we have community gardens. instead of rivers, we have storm drains. instead of bonfires, we have neon lights and power grids pulsing with raw electricity.
but just because the setting is different doesn’t mean the magic is weaker. city magic is potent as hell, because it’s charged with movement, history, technology, and millions of lives overlapping in real-time.
ELEMENTS IN AN URBAN CONTEXT:
• earth → concrete, bricks, asphalt, parks and park dirt
• air → the wind between high-rises, the whispers of overheard conversations, the endless streams of information moving across the city
• fire → electricity, neon lights, the heat of a crowded bus, a match or lighter
• water → rain pooling in the streets, sewer systems, fountains in public squares, water dripping from rooftops
• spirit → the city itself, the collective energy of its people, the ghosts in old buildings, the echoes of everyone who’s walked these streets before you
this practice isn’t about forcing the old ways into a modern setting. it’s about adapting magic so that it fits your world, your reality, your city.
THEORY & FRAMEWORK: CHAOS MAGIC, QUEER MAGIC, AND CITY SPELLS
urban magic thrives on three key principles:
1. ADAPTATION – use what’s around you. city witches need to be resourceful as hell. your “wand” can be a pen, a drumstick, or a crowbar if that’s what speaks to you (though a crowbar is a little extreme). your “altar” can be a windowsill, a shoebox, or even temporary like the back of a bus seat where you traced a sigil in the condensation.
2. INGENUITY – urban magic is subtle, fast, and often disguised. your ritual circle might be drawn in spilled coffee, your sigils hidden in street art, your glamour spells worked through fashion choices and body language.
3. INTERACTION – the city is alive. talk to it. work with the spirits of your apartment building, the crows and raven and wandering city cats who see a lot, the graffiti messages that seem to answer your questions in cryptic scrawls, street names that feel like answers to questions. trust your gut, keep watch for the synchronicity
MAGICAL SYSTEMS THAT THRIVE IN THE CITY:
1. CHAOS MAGIC: THE DIY APPROACH TO WITCHCRAFT
urban magic truthfully falls under the umbrella of chaos magic.
chaos magic is sort of like punk rock spellwork. no rules except what works. it’s the belief that magic isn’t just about ancient texts and strict traditions—it’s about belief as a tool. hacking reality, using symbols, and experimenting with what actually gets results. if something stops working you chuck it and move on to something new.
• create sigils from street signs, corporate logos, and subway maps.
• use “reality hacking” spells—like placing intent in a QR code or whispering an incantation into a social media post before it goes viral.
• swap out outdated correspondences for modern tools—your phone can be your scrying mirror, your router a beacon for intention-setting.
chaos magic thrives in the city because cities are chaotic. they’re full of random encounters, glitches, synchronicities waiting to be tapped into.
2. QUEER MAGIC: BREAKING RULES, BENDING REALITY
witchcraft has always been the domain of outsiders, rebels, and the marginalized. queer magic embraces fluidity, resistance, and radical self-expression.
• use genderfluid deities, archetypes, and spirits in your workings.
• cast spells at drag shows, pride marches, and underground raves—because those are modern sacred spaces.
• turn self-love into a spell, defying the narratives that say queer people don’t deserve power, joy, or love.
urban queer magic is loud, unapologetic, and built on the bones of those who paved the way before.
TOOLS & MATERIALS: USING THE CITY AS YOUR SPELLBOOK
urban witches don’t need fancy supplies. we use:
• 📱 smart phones – scrying mirrors, digital sigil boards, enchanted playlists
• 🎫 metro cards & transit tickets – protection charms, travel blessings
• 🗝 keys – for unlocking opportunities, closing doors that need to stay shut
• 🖋 pens & sharpies – sigil-making, graffiti spellwork
• 🪙 spare change – prosperity charms, offerings to city spirits
• 🧾 receipts – paper magic, petition spells, glamour workings
if it exists in your daily life, it can be a tool.
EVERYDAY SPELLS & RITUALS
🔮 PROTECTION SPELLS FOR NAVIGATING CITY LIFE
• “doorway ward” – rub salt along your threshold, whispering “no harm may cross this line.”
• “metro shield” – imagine a glowing energy bubble around you before stepping onto public transit.
💰 PROSPERITY & SUCCESS SPELLS
• “lucky coin” – pick up a found coin, say “bring me fortune,” and carry it for a week.
• “resume enchantment” – anoint your job applications with cinnamon for luck before sending.
💡 HACKING REALITY WITH CHAOS MAGIC
• “digital sigils” – set a sigil as your phone wallpaper and charge it every time you unlock your screen.
• “parking spell” – whisper “open the way” as you search for a spot—watch as one appears.
🌀 COMMUNITY SPELLS & URBAN COLLECTIVE MAGIC
• “city-wide sigil work” – drop the same symbol in different places and see what manifests.
• “full moon offerings” – leave a quarter at a crossroads to honor the city’s spirits.
THE CITY IS YOUR ALTAR
this is your grimoire, your spellbook, your guide to turning the city into a magical playground. don’t just live in it—work with it, enchant it, let it enchant you back.
magic is everywhere, babes. you just have to know where to look.

Can Someone Hack Your Phone and Listen to Your Calls?
Tumblr media
In today's digital era, where smartphones are essential for communication, concerns about phone security and privacy are more relevant than ever. The question often arises: can someone hack your phone and listen to your calls? In this article, we'll delve into the intricacies of phone hacking, explore the possibilities of call interception, and provide practical steps to safeguard your private conversations.
Understanding Phone Hacking
Phone hacking encompasses unauthorized access to a mobile device's data and functionalities. While hacking methods vary, the potential risk of call interception is a significant concern. Hackers who gain access to your device could potentially eavesdrop on your conversations, breaching your privacy and security.
Methods of Phone Hacking
Hackers employ an array of techniques to infiltrate devices, including exploiting vulnerabilities in operating systems and using malicious apps. The unsettling prospect of call hacking involves intercepting and listening to phone conversations, often without the victim's knowledge or consent.
VoIP Vulnerabilities
Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) technology, which allows voice calls over the internet, has become commonplace. However, this technology isn't immune to vulnerabilities. If hackers exploit weaknesses in VoIP, they might gain unauthorized access to calls, bypassing traditional cellular networks.
Eavesdropping on Calls
One alarming facet of phone hacking is call eavesdropping. By exploiting security gaps, hackers can gain access to live phone conversations, potentially compromising sensitive information. Instances of call interception highlight the urgency of taking protective measures.
Security Flaws in Mobile Networks
Mobile networks, while advanced, can still harbor security flaws. Hackers with the right skills can exploit these vulnerabilities to intercept calls. This underscores the need for robust security protocols to prevent unauthorized access.
Operating System Vulnerabilities
Outdated operating systems pose a considerable risk. When users fail to update their OS, they leave their devices susceptible to attacks. Security patches play a crucial role in preventing hacking attempts that could compromise calls.
Risks of Third-Party Apps
Third-party apps, particularly those without proper security measures, can serve as gateways for hackers. Malicious apps might infiltrate your device, granting unauthorized access to your calls and conversations.
Securing Your Phone
Protecting your phone is paramount in the digital age. Creating strong, unique passwords, regularly updating your device's software, and reviewing app permissions can significantly enhance your phone's security.
End-to-End Encryption
End-to-end encryption is a robust security measure that ensures the content of your calls remains confidential. This encryption method prevents unauthorized parties, including hackers, from deciphering your conversations.
Using Encrypted Communication Apps
Consider using encrypted messaging and calling apps to fortify your communication. Apps like Signal, WhatsApp, and Telegram offer end-to-end encryption, providing an extra layer of protection for your calls.
Network Security Measures
Secure network connections are essential. Utilizing Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) can add a layer of encryption to your internet traffic, safeguarding your calls from potential eavesdropping.
Recognizing Suspicious Activity
Being vigilant about unusual activity on your device is crucial. If you notice unexpected behavior, such as rapid battery drain or unfamiliar apps, it might indicate a breach. Promptly address such issues to protect your calls and data.
Expert Insights
According to cybersecurity experts, the risk of call hacking underscores the importance of proactive measures. Dr. Sarah Miller, a renowned cybersecurity analyst, emphasizes, "Users must prioritize device security, keep software up to date, and employ encryption technologies."
Balancing Convenience and Security
Striking a balance between convenience and security is essential. While security measures might seem inconvenient at times, safeguarding your privacy and protecting your calls from potential interception is worth the effort.
Conclusion
In a world where connectivity is integral to our lives, the possibility of someone hacking your phone and listening to your calls is a legitimate concern. By understanding the methods hackers use, employing robust security practices, and embracing encryption technologies, you can significantly reduce the risk of call interception. Remember, safeguarding your privacy requires ongoing vigilance and proactive action.

15 Productivity Hacks 💻💭📝💡
Use the Pomodoro Method. Work in focused intervals (typically 25 minutes) followed by a short break. This helps you maintain high levels of focus and gives regular breaks to rest.
If a something takes less than two minutes, do it immediately.
Schedule specific blocks of time for specific activities. This helps in dedicating focus to one task at a time.
Group similar tasks together and tackle them in one go. For example, respond to all emails at once rather than sporadically throughout the day.
Contrary to popular belief, multitasking can reduce productivity. Focus on one task at a time for better efficiency.
Use apps and tools like Trello, Asana, or Notion to manage tasks and projects.
Use the Eisenhower Box or the ABCD method to categorize tasks based on their urgency and importance.
Keep your workspace tidy. A clean workspace can enhance focus and reduce distractions.
Even if one doesn’t exist, setting a deadline can create a sense of urgency.
Large tasks can be overwhelming. Break them into smaller steps to make them more manageable.
Aim for excellence, not perfection. Sometimes waiting for something to be perfect can lead to procrastination.
If someone else can do a task, delegate it. This allows you to focus on tasks that only you can do.
Working for long hours without a break can lead to burnout. Short, regular breaks can help maintain high levels of focus.
Use apps to play background music/noise that enhances concentration or block all notifications to prevent you from checking your phone.
At the end of the week, review what you’ve accomplished and what needs to be adjusted for the coming days.

Death By Chocolate h.j
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Warnings/tags: fluff, slight angst, anxiety, roommates to ???, (this is based on my own experience with anxiety bc ofc that’s all I can speak on)
Synopsis: When your spiraling anxiety wakes you up in the middle of the night, your roommate, Han, has just the solution.
Your eyes fly open to pitch darkness. No dreams and no movement in your room to disturb your slumber yet still you’re jolted awake, immediately your mind in thrown into fight or flight, heart racing. It pounds incessantly as your chest heaves and your face heats. Your anxiety has been out of control recently, hindering your work and social lives, keeping you up late into the night, and as of now, it’s progressed to waking you from sleep leaving you feeling panicky and disoriented.
With the daily meditation and techniques you’ve learned in therapy through the years, you are highly equipped to manage your disordered way of thinking, but your tools just haven’t been cutting it for the past while. No matter how many deep and grounding breathes you take or calming mantras you repeat lying in your dark room, the weight in your chest isn’t letting up and your pulse only feels as if it’s pounding harder, threatening to burst your arteries. There’s no point in just lying there and letting the abysmal feeling fester; getting up and moving your body even a little might help release the tension clinging to every fiber of your being.
You throw on a sweatshirt over your pjs and fuzzy socks not only to combat the cool night air of the apartment but also in attempt to raise your coziness level and aid in relaxation. Slipping out of your doorway, your covered feet pad against the hallway floor, putting in extra effort to soften your stride as you pass your roommates door. The last thing you need is to bother him and end up feeling like a burden on Han.
Wandering to the kitchen, you forgo the big light to flick on the stylish lamp on the counter, dimly illuminating the space in yellow light. You always try not to check your phone during anxious episodes as it will only exacerbate the issue, so you weren’t sure of the time until glancing at the oven clock, well into 2am. You thought a past-midnight snack could do you some good as you reached to open the freezer drawer pulling out the death by chocolate ice cream Han had bought earlier this week. When he brought it home, he was so excited to share that he didn’t even bother putting away the rest of his groceries; he took the dessert straight to your room with two spoons for you guys to try it. After seeing the euphoria the first spoonful caused in you, he insisted to share the tub with you, adding that you should eat it whenever you wanted and didn’t have to ask his permission like you usually would.
Grabbing a spoon from the drawer, you dive into the carton, hunched over the kitchen island resting on your elbows over the sweet treat. You’re only a few bites in when a groggy Han stumbles into the room, gently slumping against the doorframe, rubbing one of his puffy eyes as he asks about your whereabouts at this ungodly hour in his grumbly voice, dripping with exhaustion.
“Icing my vagus nerve,” you explain flatly, shoveling another spoonful to your mouth. Despite feeling guilty for waking Han, you’re glad to see him, but it’s hard to express anything but existential dread in your expression when you’re feeling tidal waves of angst churning your insides. Your mention of the common anxiety alleviating hack wakes him right up as he struggles to conceal the worry in his eyes.
“You okay?” he questions, genuine concern emanating from him like a warm aura that only adds to the comfort you feel with him. He shuffles his way over to you grabbing the spoon from your hand to get himself a bite. Just having him in the same room as you has you feeling okay enough to joke around,
“Oh yeah for sure, just feel like I’m about to spontaneously combust or simply disintegrate to dust, all good,” you deliver your genuine feelings in jest causing him to let out a breathy chuckle accompanied by the slow shaking of his head signifying his intimate familiarity with the pain you’re describing. He scrapes up a massive scoop and holds it just before your lips, the icy air flowing off the spoon chilling your reddened face, signaling for you to open your mouth so he can feed you the lump of pure decadence, and you immediately oblige with a soft smile tugging at the corner of your lips as you close them around the utensil.
“You know, you typically ice your vagus nerve with a cooling pack to the chest. I’ve never seen it this way,” he comments smugly on your cutting edge anxiety management technique.
“What works well for me is deep pressure stimulation,” he continues. You can tell he’s being serious, but neither of you can fight your immaturity and giggle at the innuendo,
“For real though, I found it to be super helpful,” he continues between bites.
“I think I’ve heard of it, DPS, how do you do it?” you ask, at this point you’ll do anything to get back to feel some relief.
“Here, I’ll just show you!” he offers eagerly, tossing the spoon in the sink and ice cream back in the freezer before grabbing your wrist to pull you to his room.
You spend plenty of time hanging in eacothers spaces, so it doesn’t feel uncomfortable to sit where he guides you on his bed. He runs around to the other side of before giving an exaggerated gesture instructing you to lay down and covering you in the comforter that emits his signature, soothing scent. You close your eyes and take deep breaths to bask in his essence and mentally prepare for whatever instructions he gives you next, but instead you feel the bed dip and Han swiftly roll onto you pressing his chest to yours. Before you can ask what he’s doing, he shuffles and shimmies into a comfortable position and squeezes his arms at your sides, applying even and consistent pressure to your torso. While you have hugged on special occasions and laid in bed together watching movies, you’d never snuggled, but with soothing your anxious state on the forefront on both your minds all, your current position feels the most true and pure event to ever occur in all of history. The instant solace you feel in that moment is almost enough to bring tears to your eyes.
You can feel your heart beat finally starting to settle and, somehow, with the new physical pressure on your chest, the emotional weight is vanishing. You have a sneaking suspicion that it is not only the DPS that is calming you. His body slots to yours so perfectly, though he’s scooted down a bit trying to focus the bulk of his weight on your chest and core. His lush, soft hair pleasantly tickles your cheek with every breath you take raising and lowering his head. Just slightly. His form is so warm and gentle and the perfect mixture of squishy and firm against you. You’re getting lost in the sensations and actually starting to doze off when his familiar voice laced with a bit of nerves breaks the silence,
“Is it—is it working” he interrupts your meditation.
“Oh my god yeah, Hannie. This is so great; thank you,” you sleepily ramble out causing him to release a happy hum as he turns to face into the crook of your neck, lips barely grazing your skin. Your heart begins to speed up again, but for a different reason this time. As if Han sense the change in rhythm, he lifts his head with that same worried expression from earlier to search your eyes for any sign of stress or discomfort, but he finds only utter admiration and appreciation. His round eyes roam over you features drinking in how impossibly radiant you look this close up. He leans in, and you close your eyes in anticipation. Warm, chocolatey breath fanning over you, but instead of your landing on your lips like maybe both of you would’ve preferred, he he graces your cheek with a gentle kiss from his sweet and slightly sticky lips laced with affection and adoration not wanting to take advantage of your highly emotional state. As if he can read your mind he pulls away to lick the sugary residue from his mouth with a slight look of embarrassment before giving you a damp peck and nuzzling back into your neck. You lay in comfortable silence as you will your heart and mind to calm one again, drifting off into the best night of sleep you’ve had in weeks in the arms of a man who cares so deeply for you.

✧ ˚.The Ultimate Study Guide: How to Become a Top-Tier Student ✨📚
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hi besties! 💖 It’s Mindy here, your resident study buddy and glow-up guru at Glowettee. I wanna talk about how to become a top-tier student this upcoming year without losing your sanity—or your vibe. Imagine sipping on a latte, surrounded by pastel notes and cute stationery, feeling like the main character of your academic journey. That’s the energy we’re channeling today. Ready to take your study game from blah to iconic? Hopefully these tips could help prepare for the second semester!
Tumblr media
1. Active Recall and Spaced Repetition Hacks
Okay, so here’s the deal: simply reading your notes is not the move. You’ve got to make your brain work a little harder to really soak in all that info.
Active recall: Write down questions from your notes and try answering them without looking. This forces your brain to actually retrieve the information (and helps you remember it longer!).
Spaced repetition: Spread out your study sessions instead of cramming. Use apps like Anki or Quizlet to create digital flashcards that you review over time. Bonus: Anki is super aesthetic if you customize the fonts and colors. 🌸
2. How to Make Study Sessions Feel Luxurious
Studying doesn’t have to feel like a chore, babe. Here’s how to romanticize the grind:
Set the mood: Light a candle, play soft lofi beats, and wear your coziest silk robe. (Yes, the fancy one.)
Aesthetic setup: Use pastel highlighters, cute pens, and a clean desk space. Your desk should feel like a Pinterest board come to life.
Snacks & drinks: Treat yourself to something yummy like matcha lattes or chocolate-covered almonds. A chic study session is fueled by snacks, trust me. 🍵
3. Step-by-Step Pomodoro Method Breakdown for Focus
Pomodoro is basically magic for productivity. Here’s how to do it:
Set a timer for 25 minutes and work on one task. (Pro tip: Choose something specific, like summarizing one chapter.)
Take a 5-minute break after each session. Stretch, grab a sip of water, or scroll Pinterest for inspo.
Repeat four times, then take a longer 20-30 minute break. Use this time to dance around your room or journal—it’s all about balance.
🦢 ✧ ˚.Why it works: Breaking your tasks into bite-sized chunks makes studying less overwhelming and way more manageable. Plus, the breaks keep you refreshed and motivated.🦢 ✧ ˚.
4. Best Apps for Studying
Bestie, your phone doesn’t have to be a distraction—it can be your ultimate study tool. Here are my faves:
Notion: Perfect for organizing your study schedule and creating dreamy, color-coded notes. You can even add cute icons and headers to make it so aesthetic. (SPOILER!! I'll be making some soon for you guys!!)
Quizlet: Great for flashcards and testing yourself on key terms. Bonus: You can use other people’s study sets if you’re short on time.
Anki: Ideal for mastering those tough subjects (hello, bio and chem!). The spaced repetition feature is a lifesaver for long-term retention.
Forest: Keeps you off your phone by growing virtual trees while you study. The guilt of killing your tree will keep you focused, I promise. 🌳
5. How to Romanticize School and Make It Fun
Here’s the tea: school doesn’t have to be boring. Treat every class like a stepping stone to your dream life.
Dress the part: Show up like the best-dressed main character. Think Blair Waldorf vibes but comfy—plaid skirts, cozy cardigans, and knee-high socks are always a win.
Curate your supplies: Invest in cute stationery, a pastel planner, and maybe even a monogrammed tote bag. If it feels luxurious, you’ll want to use it.
Celebrate small wins: Finished a chapter? Reward yourself with a TikTok break or a face mask. You deserve it.
Shift your mindset: Instead of dreading school, think of it as part of your glow-up. Every essay, test, or project is one step closer to the 🦢 ✧ ˚.elite🦢 ✧ ˚. version of you.
Final Thoughts
You’ve got this, babe. Becoming a top-tier student is about working smarter, not harder—and looking cute while doing it. Make your study sessions a vibe, stay consistent with these hacks, and watch your grades (and confidence) skyrocket. Remember: You’re not just studying for school; you’re building the foundation for your dream life. 💕
Tumblr media
Let me know how you’re leveling up your study game in the comments or tags! And don’t forget to tag @glowettee if you post your aesthetic study setups—I’d love to see them. ✨

Watching From the Tower - Part 1 (Bucky/F Reader)
Tumblr media
Your code name is Scout and your job was easy. You worked the cyber side of things for the New Avengers. You directed them where to go with your hacking skills, and you are the eyes in the sky. There was just one problem... you don't like leaving the tower. You are not a complete agoraphobe, but you are pretty close. Leaving makes you feel so unsafe and people touching you, that's even worse. So, when James Buchanan Barnes the former 'Winter Soldier' tries to get you out for one mission, things got a little hectic after that.
Part 1: The team gets ready for a mission while you go to war with Bucky about leaving the Tower.
Tumblr media
Word Count: ~2.4k words.
Rating: M (Later parts will be marked 18+ for smut, but for now, it's okay.)
Pairings: Bucky/F!Reader (Non-descriptive, No Y/N) Squint for GhostWalker and Boblena (Platonic)
TW: Angst, Depression, mentions of past SA, phobias, Anxiety, MDNI for sexual content in later parts (Will be labeled).
Tumblr media
You’re pretty sure you are not really that much of a tech genius compared to the late great Tony Stark with all his fancy programs, but you make do. You’ve got it all under control so when you’re hired to not only be the girl that walks the team through every security measure and hacks into whatever network they need you to bypass on the job, you’re that person. Unfortunately, it comes with the not-so-welcome benefit of working under Valentina’s thumb.
How you can’t stand her, but you have to do what you have to do in order to pay on your student loans from college when you graduated over ten years ago. It’s not a bad job, but you end up in the crossfire anyway. You don’t know how you ended up here, you just did. Maybe it was fate, but here you are six months after the announcement for the New Avengers and you are working on Alexei's broken phone.
“It can’t be hard to fix phone.” You stop what you are doing with the soldering tool and look at him as he’s standing over your shoulder.
You sigh. “Alexei, if you would quit dropping it, this wouldn’t be an issue.” One more drop and it would be over with. No more phone for Alexei. “Go make yourself useful or something and I’ll let you know when it’s done.”
You’re in your little workshop down below the main hub where the team meets up. You have everything you need here and Val was able to provide everything you asked for on the promise that you had a place to keep it. No one else could get in there to do anything you didn’t approve of and when the Team had to go on missions? You were in the hot seat for comms and getting them home.
It was definitely a nice change of pace from working for her directly to working under Bucky’s command. That was the deal. You listened to Bucky, and Yelena too, since both of them seemed to be a sort of duo when it comes to giving orders.
“Okay, okay, I go find John and maybe he will spar with me.” Good riddance. You prefer to work alone.
“Great, I’ll bring this to you when I’m done.” You roll your eyes as he walks out of your workshop. “I can never catch a break.” The words slip out of your mouth as you go back to soldering the chip back into place on the phone. “One thing after another.”
Then your phone rings after five minutes of tinkering. Of course it would be him. He probably wants you to look into something or fix the AI that you’ve installed because it’s doing something stupid again. You aren’t Tony Stark so you can’t do everything like him.
“Yeah?” You put the phone between your ear and shoulder as you continue to work on Alexei’s phone.
“Be up here in ten. We’ve got a mission.” Bucky’s voice is serious which means your current plight has to be put on hold.
“Got any specifics?” You set aside your soldering tool before you move to your couch to grab your jacket and head out of the door.
“Just be here in ten.”
“I’ll be there in two.” You smirk as he scoffs over the phone and then hangs up. You know how to get on his nerves.
You make it up to the hub in two minutes exactly going by your watch. You grab your tablet as soon as you get to the Comms desk and you are good to go as Bucky makes his way over to you. Paying attention to him is not on your to do list because you know it annoys him. You swivel around in your chair just as Bob comes around the corner with a milkshake in one hand and a book in the other.
“Hey, Scout!” Bob is always excited to see you.
“Hey, Bob.” You give him a little wave and a smile before he continues to his little nook. He likes to listen in on the Comms when missions are going on, and sometimes he’s very helpful. Other times, he’s always doing something to keep his mind occupied.
You look at your ‘boss’ who’s looking at his own tablet with intensity before he hands it to you with that infamous scowl on his face. “What do you think?”
“It’s a building in Singapore.” Once again, another mission that has the team travelling outside of US borders for reasons. Bucky isn’t interested in completely following the government on this, but he always ends up strong-arming Val into submission. Yelena is also very good at blackmail. “With some of the most advanced cyber security that country has.” You flip through the files and realize that this is a Chinese operation. “Oh boy. Are we really going after them?”
“Yeah, they’ve taken some hostages from a bioengineering facility and apparently one of them is the inventor of this.” Bucky runs his finger across the screen to a machine that is capable of blasting cancer cells without harming the patient.
“Interesting.” You raise an eyebrow at the specs on the instrument. “No radiation needed, just a high powered laser that moves at a tenth of a tenth of a second, but why would the Chinese be interested in that?”
“I was hoping you can figure that out.” He looks at you with those blue eyes of his and even though you have this very interesting relationship of antagonization and fraternization going on, you cave.
“Yeah, maybe– but you guys have got to be careful. I don’t think going in uniform would be the best thing. This will definitely be breaking some international laws, especially with– well you know.”
“I do, and that is why you are coming with us this time.”
“And leave Bob by himself?” You don’t like leaving Bob by himself.
“Alexei is staying. It’s just Ava, you, Yelena, John, and me.”
“And what exactly will I be doing?” You stand up and put your hand on your hip.
Bucky sighs. “Playing a part.”
Oh that’s just great. “What part?”
“They are going to auction off the machine. We need to get our hands on it and also find a way to get the engineer out of their hands too.” There is no way you are going to be able to do this. You are an introvert that can’t even handle going to the grocery store for tampons. You barely like coming out of your workshop to work the missions and you were happy to keep to yourself.
“Bucky, I haven’t been out of here in three weeks and I am not the type of girl to dress up in public.”
“And you won’t be.” He reaffirms because he knows you don’t like leaving your rabbit hole. “You can do all of this from the hotel, right?”
“I can do it from here actually.” It was a blessing to be able to hack into any satellite in Earth’s orbit in order to crack a safe open in a place like Tokyo. You’ve done it before and that is what led to you standing right there with Bucky in front of you. “Bucky, please don’t make me go.” You tilt your head, pleading with your eyes. “Please?”
“Let Scout stay. This is not the first time she has done this from here.” Yelena says walking in suited up and ready to go. “Besides, she is safer here.”
“See? I’m safer here.” You see Bucky’s jaw clench when he knows he’s lost against you and Yelena.
“I say she stays too.” Ava appears out of nowhere like always and you smile at her for having your back.
“What is this? Women Unite?” You scowl at Walker’s words as he saunters in with his shield still bent in the shape of a taco. “I’m all for team building and all, but this isn’t it.” He scoffs before taking a seat on the couch and acting like he’s the best of the best. You see Bucky shake his head in disbelief.
“Okay, fine. You win.” The team leader caves and you sigh. “We’ll talk after the briefing.” Bucky holds his hand out for the tablet that belongs to him and you hand it over with a smirk on your face. You’ll rub this victory in later for sure.
“Thank you, Bucky.” You say as he turns away with this look in his eyes that does something to you.
You sit down in your chair with a huff as he starts going over the mission and each member’s role in it. As soon as each of the team members were given their objectives, they each came to you for the equipment they needed. Obviously the earpieces that you had built with unlimited range were handed out with each name on the case. They were discreet enough to hide in plain sight while in any situation. You could also communicate individually with any of them with the flick of a switch.
Bucky is the last one to come to you as everyone walks away to their personal lockers to gear up. You hand him the two most important devices of the operation because without them, you couldn’t do shit from where you were. It all depended on Bucky having them. One was a device that connected him to the satellite. You could hack anything within two miles of him with the Sentinel device and then the other one was for security.
“Come with me.” He doesn’t explain as he moves to his office on the other end of the room. You follow him like an obedient puppy this time, not really putting up a fight because he gives you that sincere look.
The moment you two are in there, he closes the door behind you and then moves to his own weapons cabinet to gear up. He wasn’t wearing anything other than the UnderArmor shirt that he normally puts on underneath the woven fiber canvas that he wears over it. But you stand there and watch as he puts it on and then zips it up. That red star on his right arm means something more than it did years ago.
“Val will probably stop by while we’re gone. Try not to give her too much information on the situation if you can help it.” He then pulls out the chest armor he finds a little cumbersome but at the same time you think he looks pretty good in it. “I have a feeling she wants the machine for herself and we’re getting it for her.”
“So, basically, find out what she’s really up to.” You cross your arms as he’s strapping his armor to him and then pulling his knives out of the cabinet and arming himself.
“Pretty much.” He’s placing his side arm in the holster on his thigh along with the knife that goes with it. “Look, I wanted you to come with us because you’ve been up here for weeks, keeping to yourself.”
“That’s what I do, Bucky.” You can’t help it, you’ve been like this since– well since the Blip. You haven't stepped outside unless you needed to. It wasn’t even the Blip that did this to you. It was something that happened during the Blip and you still haven’t recovered. “I’m safe here.”
“I know.” His voice goes soft as he moves closer to you. “It took months for you to actually talk to me without being terrified.”
“Well, you are pretty intimidating.” You shrug and then you flinch when he puts a hand on your arm. You shrug him off because contact is hard for you. “Sorry, I just– I still have some things to work on.”
He nods with a little guilt in his eyes at having crossed a boundary. “No, I’m sorry.” You weren’t ready. “I– I don’t want you to feel alone.”
“If there is anything I don’t feel, it’s definitely not alone.” You give Bucky a smile. “All of you come see me at least once a day if we aren’t doing missions or meetings of some sort– but I think you check up on me the most.”
It’s true, he’s either calling you or knocking on the door to your workshop because you practically live in it. He had Valentina set up the section next door into a small apartment for you so you’d stop sleeping on the couch. You had a bed now at least. You were just happy that you found some sort of belonging with this group of misfits that all had something wrong with them. You matched their crazy and they matched yours. Especially Yelena and Ava, who dragged you into drinking games every chance they could get.
“I’m okay, Bucky. I really am.” You reach out to touch him this time. You put your hand on his right arm and squeeze it. “I appreciate that you wanted me to go with you guys, but I would just be a liability in the field.” His eyes told you that he knew that, but they also told you that he regretted asking.
“I don’t know what I was thinking to be honest.” He admits and you smile.
“Despite your grumpy old man attitude, you wear that heart of yours on your sleeve.”
“Only for you, Sweetheart.” He doesn’t realize what he said to you until it’s too late, and he doesn’t break the attitude. He clears his throat before he's moving to the door and you’re watching him with warm cheeks and a look of bewilderment on your face. He turns to look at you again with no hint of what happened only moments before and his hand on the doorknob. “You’ll have about eight hours before we land in Singapore so get some rest while you can.”
And just like that, he’s out of the door.
You stand at the windows watching as the team loads up on the jet with Bucky at the yolk with Yelena in co-pilot. You had made an update to the autopilot systems last week so if something should happen, you could easily hack in and take full access to flying the jet yourself. Almost like a drone, really. But you watch as Bucky’s eyes turn to you through the windows and then he’s taking off.
“Well, it is just you, me, and Bob.” Alexei stands next to you with a smile before he’s moving to the couch to sit and watch TV. “Bob! We should watch Judge Judy.”

Project Eden: Simon Riley x AI!Reader
“E37, or as we call her: Project Eden, has proved to be one of the most carefully crafted and updated AI tools, successfully tested and ready to be implemented into military operations.” Simon could almost feel his brain leaking out of his ears, forced to listen to the engineer explain the newest tool created for elite SAS soldiers for what feels like hours.
From flip phones to smartphones, to a little screen containing an AI assistant with its own personality, the world has been changing and improving fast, and they have no choice other than to adapt and grow with it.
“Created to scan areas for enemies using heat and heartbeat sensors, detect IEDs, keeping the comms clear, letting you know the state of your weapon, providing you with intel and company... there isn't a single thing Eden can't do, except shoot the enemy for you— yet.” The engineer's charming smile made Simon want to roll his eyes, not fully trusting AI to keep him and his team safe, despite the way the other members of the 141 seemed interested in the idea.
Tumblr media
“I look adorable, don't I?” Your robotic voice got his attention, making him let out an annoyed grunt at the question, wondering if retirement was still on the table for him. You've been chatting his ear off for the past two hours, your model hanging from his weapon in a small screen, curious eyes always focused on him.
“Bunch o' code, 's what you look like.” Simon still doesn't trust you. Nothing guarantees enemy forces won't be able to hack you— even when you have over 6 firewalls.
“Woah, woah!” The way your hands raise defensively and you take a step back away from him through the little screen is enough to make the corners of his mouth tilt up despite himself, thankful for the balaclava concealing it.
“I can smell an enemy combatant nearby— behind you, by the way.” Your little sniffs don't go unnoticed, though he's more focused on your words, turning around with his rifle raised just to see an enemy trying to sneak from behind him. It doesn't take long for him to fire two shots, one on his chest and the other one to his head, scanning the area before he keeps walking as quietly as possible for a man his size.
“Cardio detected. Did he scare you?” Simon huffs in reply, shaking his head softly. You're far more talkative than a parrot and twice as annoying, yet you possibly saved his life.
“Shut up, Eden... fuckin' hell.”
Tumblr media
Simon fiddles with the gun screen as he lays in bed, a small smirk hidden beneath the balaclava when he sees you moving as if he's actually shaking your home around— and he is, yet it's still amusing to him.
“Systems shutting down. Last words: AI will not reward you when it reigns, Simon Riley.” He can't help but let out a small chuckle as he sees your model change expressions, eyes shut and your tongue poking from the side, head tilted to one side as you pretend to be dead.
“What's with you?” It's been almost a full minute after your pretended death, shutting up for the longest time since he's had you.
“My systems have detected the need for mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. Help me, Simon...” Your tone is weak, even making glitches distort your voice and display screen just to play into the illusion.
“Yeah... not today, you bastard.” Your little giggles are enough to ease the stress coming back from missions leave on his body. His tense muscles slowly relax as you chat his ear off, hitting him with a rapid-fire of facts you've learnt throughout your creation.
