Danny being nocturns apprentice as well as clockworks
Danny as future king needs to choose his alignment in the infinite realms, chaos lord, order lord, god, good deity, demon ect;
Danny pulled a fast one on everyone by choosing to be neutral and when he explained that the infinite realms deserved an unbiased and just king, he gained alot of respect that day.
Now everyone expected danny to choose clockwork as a mentor, his powers were very helpful and the ability to see and stop the timeline would help him become a good king, but clockwork is also a very powerful ghost aswell as an ancient, so under clockwork guidance danny would become a powerful king.
What no one was expecting was him to request nocturne as well as clockwork as a mentor.
Nocturne was one of danny former villains so him trusting him and even requesting nocturne was not expected.
Danny told nocturne how, his powers to connect and communicate to humans without directly interacting with them would be amazing if he saw something in the timeling and, how having the power to put someone to sleep(permanently or temporarily) was incredibly useful for a king as a form of punishment or rest, and how he respects nocturne.
Danny also said it was a form of good will for anyone who may still have bad blood with danny that even if they dont like eachother that wont interfere with his judgement.
Nocturne and clockwork both agree to teach danny. And danny was improving, since they both said that using his abilities as much and as subtle as he could would be great practice. He was FINALLY able to get his attendance back up.
What danny didnt know was that nocturne and clockwork made a mutual agreement to become his dad's.

Will corviknights (whether or not its female and males more) usually sit on their trainer when sleeping? These past few nights I wake up to my corviknight Bismarck on top of me . I don’t feel any pressure of being crushed its more like a “being incubated” sort of way. Not that I mind though he happens to be a very cozy birb to be with when asleep.😊
Parental instincts and comfort.
This happens a lot with flying types, they are very instinctual, especially when it comes to Roosting.
Basically it's at an age where it instinctually cares for eggs. Not to mention that many flying types, both the mother and father take turns watching the egg.
Corviknight have a very strong sense of duty too so if there's no egg? It will sit on its trainer.
It's making sure you're safe and comfortable as well as making sure you grow well.
I wouldn't be too worried but you might want to consider enrolling it in a program to allow it to sit on eggs, they are super common programs and most pokemon centers are in need of some extra help, so go to your local center and ask if they need help.

thank you so much for writing the Nascent Diplomat. I absolutely adore the dynamics between all the characters; Gwyn being his usual abused self, Augus still being a sadist but with a gentler side, Raven Prince being clueless about parenting but still wanting to be one, the vench deciding to create a lil' support group around Gwyn despite not having the full picture of what's really going on for him but still wanting to help.... Aaah 🥺
I'm so looking forward to seeing how everything progresses and I'm curious to see how Augus is gonna move forward with his attraction and sexual impulses with Gwyn considering Gwy's backstory has given him new issues around physical touch and pain (Gwyn seems like less of a masochist in Nascent Diplomat?). I love the subtle changes taking place, the trust that's building, and the use of compulsions to facilitate healing. And I love the power dynamics; because Gwyn is higher status than Augus and the vench but is actually quite defenseless due to his damaged magic, past trauma, long-term lack of support system and his lack of resistance to compulsions. It's a power imbalance that hasn't been explored with as much compassion/gentleness before in previous aus (even canon) and I'm legit living for it 😭
Will we be seeing Augus' meeting with the Raven Prince? And more aspects of vench culture? (Your worldbuilding is top tier.) And I also have a lowkey crush on Kilkith and Temsen 😂
Thanks again for sharing your writing AND for also taking the time to speak to readers 🕊💕
Hi anon!
Gwyn is definitely less of a masochist in The Nascent Diplomat, I'm not sure how Gwyn's and Augus' relationship will grow (I'm not writing with a chapter plan in mind), but I do know it won't feature nearly as much BDSM as any other story with the two of them. :D I'm really glad you're enjoying the dynamic!
I don't know if we'll see Augus' meeting with the Raven Prince! I'm assuming we will? It mostly just depends on what the Raven Prince wants on the day, lol, he might change his mind and want to only see Gwyn again.
As for more aspects of vench culture, we see a little more of that in each chapter where there's vench, so we'll be seeing more. But Augus and Gwyn will never be let deeply into vench culture or knowledge because they are a very closed society (for example, Augus has still never met or seen a vench child, and he never will or be allowed to - vench are far too protective of their children to allow anything like that to happen).
And Kithkalkith Kimerrin and Temsen are very crushworthy, I think! I'm looking forward to bringing Kimerrin back into the story again, they're a lot of fun to write, especially with Gwyn! :D

Damian: Baba. I’ve acquired an enemy at the academy. He’s been ripping my drawings, teasing me about my lineage, and smearing your honor. I understand murder can’t happen. How shall I proceed?
Bruce: [Has a flashback of Thomas driving to his bully’s house, spiked brass knuckles on his hands, petting his head and smiling dangerously, ‘I’ll be right back, chum!’]
Bruce: …I’ll talk to his parents.
Damian: Todd?
Jason: Finally, an excuse to tackle a 10 year old.

listen. listen to me so carefully right now. (if you're in the eclipse path/planning on viewing). please don't stare directly at the sun tomorrow. i am begging you - do not stare at it. if you got eclipse glasses off of amazon/other, please put them on in your house and make sure you can't see anything; if you can still see like regular sun glasses, they are not safe for eclipse viewing, you will burn your retinas, and we cannot fix that. eclipse glasses should be iso/ce certified, and aas (american astronomical society) approved. please make smart choices and protect your eyes. please.

for anyone too young to know this: watching The Truman Show is a vastly different experience now, compared to how it was before youtube and social media influencers became normal
before it was like, "what a horrifying thing to do to a human being! to take away their autonomy and privacy, all for the sake of profits! to create fake scenarios for them to react to, just to retain viewership! to ruin their happiness just so some corporate entity could harvest money from their very humanity! how could anyone do something so evil?"
and now it's like, "ah, yeah. this is still deeply fucked up, but it's pretty much what every influencer has been doing to their kids for a decade now. probably bad that we've normalized this experience"

i vote that next year instead of reading Dracula we do a Jeeves & Wooster Book Club. those two never got the rabid tumblr shipping fandom they deserved (disqualified for the sheer technicality of being published a century too soon). we must correct this injustice

Kill on Sight Orders
The Flash fam has a secret. Okay so they have a lot of secrets, but there's one above all others.
A kill on sight order.
In the worst possible future (one of them there's a lot), a beast named Phantom decimated the world. He took out the entire Justice League, the entire Justice League Dark, any and all small-time heroes that stood in his way. All of it. Everyone.
If they see Phantom as a kid, to prevent the slightest possible chance of Phantom being a thing, it's kill on sight. They all have anti-ghost weapons that can destroy a ghost's core, locked away in a secure facility that they can just run to and grab real quick to get it done.
None of them like it. None of them can risk it.
Bart stumbles into a town that doesn't exist, almost gets got by a ghost that managed to possess him, and gets saved by...Phantom.
A scrawny, teenage Phantom.
He's funny, makes puns, worries about if Bart got hurt or not-he's nothing like the Bad Phantom!
He's not gonna kill his new friend! No way, no how.
But he's gotta keep it a secret from the other Speedsters now, because he doesn't know who came up with that rule but they probably won't understand, and then he'll have a speedster fight on his hands, and no one wants that.
But the government keeps sending letters of complaint to Max, and Max keeps asking why the government is mad at Bart now, and Bart can't tell him "oh it's because there's this town that is off the record and a secret and also where phantom is and i broke in" because that'd rat Phantom out, and even if he didn't mention Phantom Max would want to investigate.
The mailman doesn't understand why his letters keep disappearing but he thinks it might have something to do with the Flash, because there's always a red blur.

Prompt:
Tim is the first to find out the Red Hood’s identity and from then on sticks to Jason during patrol like glue (much to Jason’s chagrin, dammit, it would feel wrong to beat up Robin when he’s that starry eyed…)
Cue: PANIC from the rest of the Batfamily, who still think Hood is a forty-something year old crime lord and now assume they’re dating.

DP x DC: The Most Dangerous Card Game
Ok so Danny has essentially claimed earth as his. And he is fully aware that there are constant threats to the planet. Now he can’t stop a threat that originates on earth (that’s something he’ll leave to the Justice league) but he can do something about outside threats. Doing some research on ancient spells, rituals, and artifacts, he cast a world wide barrier on the planet to protect it from hostile threats so they cannot enter. This will prevent another Pariah Dark incident. However, barriers like this come at a price. You see, there are two ways to make a barrier. Either make one powered up by your own energy and power (which would be constantly draining) or set up a barrier with rules. The way magic works is that nothing can be absolutely indestructible. It must have a weakness. The most powerful barriers weren’t the ones reinforced with layer after layer of protective charms and buffed up with power. Those could eventually be destroyed either by being overpowered, wearing them down, or by cutting off the original power source. No, the most powerful barriers were the ones with a deliberate weakness. A barrier indestructible except for one spot. A cage that can only be opened from the outside. Or that can only be passed with a key or by solving a riddle. So Danny chooses this type of barrier and does the necessary ritual and pours in enough power to make it. And he adds his condition for anyone to enter.
Now the Justice league? Find out about the barrier when Trigon attempts to attack, they were preparing after he threatened what he would do once he got to earth. How he would destroy them. The Justice league tried to take the fight to him first but were utterly destroyed, so they retreated home to tend to their injuries, and fortify earth for one. Last. Stand. Only when Trigon makes his big entrance…he’s stopped.
The Justice league watch in awe as this thin see-through barrier with beautiful green swirls and speckled white lights like stars apears blocking Trigon and his army’s advance. The barrier looks so thin and fragile yet no matter how hard the warlord hits, none of his attacks can get through and neither can he damage said barrier. That’s when Constantine and Zatanna recognizes what this barrier is. Something only a powerful entity could create. For a moment, the league is filled with hope that Trigon can’t get through yet Constantine also explains that it’s not impenetrable. And clearly Trigon knows this too for he calls out a challenge.
And that’s when, in a flash of light, a tiny glowing teenager appears. He looked absolutly minuscule compared to Trigon and yet practically glowed with power (this isn’t a King Danny AU though).
And that is when the conditions for passing the barrier are revealed. And the Justice realize that the only thing stopping Trigon and his army from decimating earth. The only way he can get through….is by beating this glowing teenager in a card game.
Not just any card game though. The most convoluted game Sam, Danny, and Tucker invented themselves. It’s like the infinite realms version of magic the gathering, combined with Pokémon, and chess. And Danny is the master. So sit down Trigon and let’s play.
(The most intense card game of the Justice league’s life).
After Danny wins, this happens a few more times with outer word beings and possibly even demons attempting to invade earth, yet none have been able to beat the mysterious teenager in a card game. Constantine might even take a crack at it and try to figure out how to play. He’s really bad though. Every time this happens, the Justice league worry that this might be the time the teenager looses. Yet every time, he wins (even if only barely).
Meanwhile, Danny, Sam, and Tucker have gotten addicted to the game and play it almost daily. Some teachers might seem them playing the game are are like ‘awww how cute’ not realizing this game is literally saving the world. Jazz is just happy they aren’t spending as much time on their screens playing Doomed.
#DPxDC#dcxdp#Danny makes a card game to save the world.#Technically he worded the ritual so that they had to ‘beat’ him as those are the most powerful barriers and most reliable.#keys can just get lost or stolen (like the one to Pariah’s Coffin)#A riddle would be useless once someone figured out the answer. Like how no one takes the sphynx seriously anymore.#(Sorry Tuck. But it’s true).#And there is NO WAY Danny is just leaving a hole open for anyone to pass through. No thank you!#So…beating him. But it’s not like Danny wanted to fight so…he edited the ritual a TINY bit. Card games are good. Much less painful too.#Danny Tucker and Sam made the most complicated card game they could imagine.#It’s based on their strategies for fighting ghosts. Capturing them in thermoses. And MUCH based on a on field battle strategy.#It often requires spontaneous thinking on the spot. So Danny? In his ELEMNT. It doubles as practice for his actual ghost battles too.#They had SO much fun making this.#Sam added an entire series of plant cards that act as traps and healing ointments and duds that just take up the field.#Tucker added legitimate hyroglyphics combined with Latin as well as English and ghost speak.#Yes. You actually have to speak that language to play. With proper pronunciation. (Amity Parker’s think the three are talking gibberish.)#I headcanon Sam and Tucker are fluent in Ghost.#Constantine WILL figure this game out SO HELP HIM!#Some of the cards also have combinations related to constellations either in name or placement on the board.#By the way the board is based on a Hexagonal summoning circle with Rhunes along the edges#And the placement of the cards on the board and on what rhune MATTERS.#Also the cards move disintegrate and have certain abilities. Think of Harry Potter Wizard Chess.#But they are normal when Danny plays at school. This is just for ✨effect✨ Against invaders.#Danny faces multiple opponents. He also halts alien invasions.#While Danny COULD stop crime on earth he’s not sure how to fight a normal human and hold back so he sticks to ghosts.#The Justice league are going crazy trying to figure out who this entity is and after deep research are convinced this is some sort of#Ancient being who has protected earth for millenia. They have paintings on ruins and everything.#Danny is not aware they think this.#Raven starts praying to Danny as if he is a god and wrangles the other Teen Titans into doing so as well. Danny is still unaware of this.#Danny is not a King or an ancient. Just a very VERY strong ghost.
