Summary: it’s Lewis’ birthday and you planned a surprise for him.

Today was Lewis' birthday and he had been so excited about it all week that I had never seen him like this.

Normally people have a crisis when they get close to 40 but I don't think he cares. When I turned 34 this year I almost went into despair and he was the one who said it was no big deal and that I actually looked 24, which certainly boosted my ego, even more so coming from him.

And after that we had the best sex ever so all in all I couldn't have had a better birthday.

We are in Monaco and I was preparing a surprise for him and this consisted of me having to pretend that I didn't have anything in mind and hoping that he wouldn't notice that I was lying.

By some miracle I woke up before he did and could admire him sleeping, the sheet covered only from the waist down leaving his back completely exposed and I began to trace my fingers over his tattoos. He moved and soon I felt his hand on my waist and he pulled me close to him, making us squirm.

"Good morning." His husky voice drifts past my ears making me smile.

I love his voice from when he just wakes up.

"Good morning love." I feel him smile against my neck and then start leaving several kisses scattered there. "Aren't I the one who should be treating you like royalty today?"

"Maybe." He murmurs. "How would you feel about some birthday sex?"

"Hmm I think that's a great idea."

After having sex for about half an hour I decided to take a quick shower while he talked to his mother on his cell phone and when I was done I went straight to the kitchen to prepare a smoothie for us since we were going for a run.

This was one of the things that I had learned throughout our relationship, he never misses the morning run and in the beginning I hated it because he would wake me up at 7am so we could run but after a while I realized that he would not stop so I just joined him and nowadays we always run together.

"Ready?"

"Drink your smoothie and we can go." He agrees and after taking it we leave the building walking hand in hand.

We went to the usual place and then started running, the day in Monaco was beautiful and warm.

When we got to the top of the place where we always run, he stopped at the edge and took off his shirt since it was hot and I took a picture of him smiling when he heard the noise of the cell phone that I swore was on silent.

"Always taking pictures of me distracted aren't you." He says coming closer and hugging my waist. "I love you."

"I love you more."

"Impossible." He says laughing and letting go of me.

"Why is it impossible?"

"Because it is."

"No it isn't."

"Yes it is."

"Lewis."

"I love you more, simple."

"I'm letting you win this one just because it's your birthday and because you're getting old too."

"Very funny girl." He moves closer to me again. "But you love this old man here.”

"Yes, I really do." He smiles and kisses me.

"Come, let's watch the view a little before we go home.”

He sits on the floor and pulls me to sit between his legs and I lean on his chest.

He kissed my neck and we stayed there for a while until we left.

Lewis wanted to spend the day at home and by some miracle he wanted to eat junk food so we ordered hamburgers, he ordered a vegan hamburger and I ordered a regular hamburger and together we ordered fries.

After eating until we could not stand it anymore we stayed on the couch watching movies until we fell asleep and slept until about 18:30.

"What are you going to do?" He asks when he sees me exiting the closet wearing only lingerie.

"Which one of these do you think it’s easier?"

“Easier for what?”

“For you to take it off latter.” He laughs. “But seriously witch one do you prefer?”

"Why?"

"Just answer."

"The white one." I agree and leave him on top of the armchair in the corner of the room. My cell phone beeps and as I reach for it on the nightstand he pulls me up onto his bed. "What are you up to?"

"Nothing much, I just thought it would be nice to book a table at a restaurant for a birthday dinner."

"Hm, are you sure that's all?" He asks still suspicious but doesn't miss the opportunity to hold my ass.

"Actually after we get back there's one more little surprise but this you already know you're going to get." He smiles and kisses me going his hands up to my bra and when he was about to open it I took his hands away.

"We have to go soon." He grumbles.

"Just a quick one."

"No babe, I don't want to get sweaty."

"How do you know you'll get sweaty?"

"Because with you I always do." He smiles and kisses me again before getting up.

"I'm going to get ready." He goes to the bathroom to shower while I sit down in my dressing table chair and start to get ready.

After about 10 minutes he came out of the bathroom with the towel around his waist teasing me and went to the closet coming out of there after wearing pants.

"Does my shirt have to match your dress?" He stops beside me and I look at him in the reflection.

"Wow you look hot." He smiles and kisses my forehead. "And only if you want it to."

"Okay." He walks into the closet and after I finish my makeup I start to put on the dress and feel his hand pulling the shoulder strap towards my shoulder. "Are you ready?"

"Yes, I just need to put on my shoes and get my purse."

I grabbed my car keys and drove to the restaurant, Lewis hated to drive if it wasn't fast so usually when we go out I drive but lately he's been driving more.

When we arrived we went to our table and had a great dinner, as usual some people stopped to ask for pictures and he took some but after many people started coming he politely asked them to stop because he wanted to celebrate his birthday without being bothered all the time.

The surprise part was now, his friends and family that I had called were in the back and after we had finished I took the blindfold from the bag.

"You need you to put this on." He takes it and looks at me.

"Shouldn't we be home for this?"

"Lewis." I scolded him since at the same time a waitress had walked by. "Not for this part."

"What's it for, then?"

"Just put it on and stop being suspicious for a second. Don't you trust me?"

"I do."

"It doesn't look like it." I say putting the blindfold on him. "Now let's go."

"All right."

I grabbed our things and took his hand and guided him to where everyone was, I had already told them that we were going so they would be quiet. When we entered they all smiled and I let go of his hand.

"Are you going to leave me here blindfolded? I just need to take off my clothes now." At that he takes off the blindfold and everyone shouts “surprise”.

"Nice of you to say that in front of your mother." I slap him lightly on the arm.

"Like she doesn't know we do that." He says and hugs me. "And she's been asking me for a while for more grandchildren.”

"The idea of having a mini you running around the house really appeals to me." I feel him smile into my neck. "Now go say hello to everyone."

"Okay. And thank you by the way, you are the best girlfriend anyone could ever have."

"Thanks, but it's about time you promoted me to something else don't you think?"

"Absolutely." He kisses me and leaves to go celebrate with everyone.

Dr Kry headcanon: normal day

Dr Kry doesn't sleep much because he needs to keep an eye on you 24/7.

He most likely definitely has a caffeine addiction to make up for his lack of sleep.

Dr Kry lives in the hospital's dormitory to stay close to you, just in case something would happen for you to need him.

When he gets himself ready for work at 4am in his dimly lit room, his thoughts consist of you.

He gets himself a black coffee and makes his way up to your room.

He reaches your room at 4:25am and unlocks your door quietly.

Dr Kry takes his daily look at your air purifier to make sure it's not generating too much and has bought a little stick that shows him how toxic your air really is — he can't let your air kill you.

You usually wake up at 5am thanks to how badly you are feeling.

Dr Kry is right by your side when you wake up, sitting on the side of your bed with his coffee in his hands.

He leaves you for ten minutes to get you some breakfast from the cafeteria.

Whatever you don't eat, he takes — not because he's hungry (the coffee has ruined his appetite by now) but because your saliva is on the food.

He sits with you until lunch time, passing time by playing games, reading, watching movies and taking some tests on your vitals.

The times he has to look after other patients make him pissed, but he can't say anything about it in case he wants to keep his job.

Around 12pm, he brings you and himself some food — you get tomato soup and bread and he gets himself a chicken salad.

You take a nap after lunch and he takes the chance to go to the hospital's gym.

Dr Kry is a pretty buff guy although he doesn't eat much, he makes up for it with protein bars and shakes.

When the sweat is dripping down into his eyes, he stops and goes to take a shower.

Usually, he takes care of another patient before you wake up.

But when you do wake up, you better be ready for his undivided attention.

At 6pm, he brings you both dinner — you get the same thing: some kind of meat (or subsitute if you're vegetarian/vegan) and potatoes with vegetables.

Whatever you don't eat, he does.

You usually go to bed early since your body is weak and everything in your body hurts — usually between 8pm and 10pm.

When you've fallen asleep, Dr Kry leaves your room again to check up on some work that he misses out on by babysitting you.

When the clock strikes midnight, he walks up to you to check on his wonderful darling one last time before making his way down to the dormitory again.

He can't wait until he gets to see you again in a few hours.

The Greens headcanons (modern!au)

I was inspired by @phiasaban post. the second I saw these photos I had an idea for the modern au and just wrote it all down in 10 minutes (this has nothing to do with the show! it’s just me looking at the photos, mind you):

Alicent is a single mom. loves to cook (def cooks when she’s nervous or upset), has a record collection, loves to dance when she’s tipsy. can be a strict parent when she’s pissed (or really tired) but overall is a mama bear (to the point of getting into arguments with teachers — “yeah, I think I know what’s best for my kids”). she’s an angry driver, keeps her car super clean. dresses casually (plaid shirts and jeans), but whenever she puts on a dress she looks so smoking hot it makes every man turn around after her. tons of them flirt with her but she mostly looks uninterested. deep inside is afraid to get her heart broken again. makes friends with her neighbor Criston (he let her borrow flour a few times). he is totally in love with Alicent and everyone sees it but her. he’s okay with her taking all the time she needs.

Aegon is a fuckboy but a very apologetic one. has no cruel intentions, he just “loves women so much, he can’t help himself”. either writes songs or poetry. has the weirdest captions on instagram. drinks wine 24/7 but manages to look sober when needed. ends up falling in love with one of his closest friends who’s been tolerating him for years, helping him sober up, making him breakfasts, giving cruel reviews of his sappy poems. one day she just casually picks him up in her car, they’re driving in comfortable silence, she asks him how his day went — and it suddenly strikes him that she’s the one. he’ll probably tell her right away (“I think I’m in love with you” — and she sharply presses the brakes). but it will take a couple of weeks for him to fully sober up, convince her to go on a date with him and then to give him a chance. will plant kisses all over her face whenever she’s upset. he loves movie dates, but his sense of humor is questionable.

Aemond is into sports (pick whatever you like, but he doesn’t look like a team player to me lol). very competitive, self-disciplined, doesn’t talk much. girls swoon over him and he ignores them completely. secretly is a nerd, reads a lot (and pretty much anything). falls in love with a girl who challenges him but will also stand by his side in every situation imaginable even if he’s wrong (she won’t shy away from telling him the truth when it’s just the two of them, though). he’s incredibly protective yet very gentle. it’s all about forehead kisses, leaving sweet notes for her, buying flowers for no reason. not a fan of PDA’s but will hold her hand every chance he gets. remembers every single anniversary. they’ll probably adopt a dog. he gives the best hugs and loves when she plays with his hair. they can talk about their favorite books for hours and she loves being the only one who gets to see that side of him.

Helaena is into astrology and tarot cards. has a cat (or three) and probably a little pet snake. talks to animals (I also think she’ll be vegan but don’t quote me on that). buys a lot of plants (and gives them names), maybe in attempt to compensate for her smoking. some may say she has a resting bitch face, but those ppl clearly never saw her smile, 'cause it lights up her face and she looks absolutely adorable. she’s the first one to steal their mother’s car (Alicent is not surprised and just texts her “no smoking in the car!”). annoyed with her brothers most of the time but god forbid someone dares to hurt them. carries a pocketknife (it looks very pretty, decorated with crystals and stuff), wears long t-shirts. adventurous but it takes time for her to trust people. will fall in love with someone who’s kind (and maybe introverted?). they’ll get matching tattoos (smth very small and simple), go on road trips and music festivals. yes, I can totally imagine her being queer.

Naruto Headcanons - Ranking Nightlife in Different Villages (from best to worse)

1- Kumogakure (THE Party City)

Obviously Kumo takes the first place for its unmatched nightlife culture. It is alive at night and very welcoming of foreigners, some people make a whole trip to Kumo just to party.

There are sooooo many nightclubs of different types. Hip hop, Pop or Western etc. Kumo is known for being the only nation to have stripclubs. other countries, always claim to be more conservative in that area. it ties into the more liberal/accepting expression of sexuality (especially from women).

everything is intertwined when you look up the country's music history. Many famous artists strated in nightclubs.

The city lives at night, many sports clubs are operating during dark hours and inviting the night owls to join in. Along this, you can take all types of classes/courses taking place at night if clubbing is not your cup of tea.

Kumo is so diverse, there is a district/area or stores/businesses for all types of preferences, interests or way of life. Are you LGBT, plus size, disabled, a salary man, vegan, emo, a sneaker head or whatever it is, you will find a place for taste.

it has become a challenge some residents (and tourists), to make a 6PM to 6AM Challlenge. where it consist of staying awake and indulging in the nightlife until sunrise. it was popularized by an episode of Killer Bee's Showtime where they came up with the concept and has became a legit tourist attraction since theres so much to do

2- Konohagakure (6 to 9 Heaven)

In Konoha, a lot of people have a 9-5 schedule so big part of the village nightlife is centered around "after work" activities. When you go out on weekdays, you will mostly encounter employees trying to unwind after a long workday

regardless there are so many activities to do after the sunset. the most popular are karaoke, hot springs and street food stands.

Konoha's foundation being a mountain, there are many hidden spots hidden in its complex foundation. when look over it, you can observe spots of hundred of spotlights all over the city because small goups loves to meetup in various places and just chill together

the largest cinemas are located in Konoha. it one of the few places where you can go watch movies from other nations to the exceptions of Kiri for their heavy censorships laws and Suna for being in a different language.

Cabaret clubs are huge in Konoha.

you can find many 24/7 ramen shops and Internet Cafes

The comedy scene in Konoha is big. off course it doesnt match Kumo's but Konoha produced many well known comedians. All the "Comedy Open mic nights" are to die for.

Konoha scored high also for being a welcoming nation and embraces tourist/foreigners with open minds.

3- Iwagakure (Rock 'n' Roll)

if you are looking for a good music concert to attend. especially for rock and indie music.

it scored lower because many of those locations (to party) and the culture surrounding them are sometimes hard to find

mixed with the nightlife, Iwa has a strong adult entertainment industry. There are countless soaplands and burlesque show, again only if you can find them

(Honorable Mention) 3.5 - Modern Kirigakure (Work in Progress)

On the way to become like Konoha (along with their own sauce) but is not there yet

outside of the capital, they still operate like the previous system like the rest of the country of water.

4- Sunagakure (Organized Events)

The nightlife of Suna is more made of organized events where mass of people attent. The largest venues happen on Fridays since there are a lage diversity of shecdules among the population but everthing stops from Friday night to Sunday morning.

A typical night activity is enjoying tea, there are hundreds of tea stands across the country, sometimes even in the middle of nowhere for travelers during their long journey in the desert. they along serve flavourful whiskeys and tasty snacks. It is the #1 socializing spot.

The food is to die for. The culinary scene of Suna is unmatched, with all the ingredients natives to the regions it gives unique meal you cant find anywhere else. there are many restaurants of all types open until the early hours of the morning.

Live performing is a very prevelant part of Suna's nightlife,

A lot of night activities are meant to be enjoyed in large numbers especially among families since many of them are large.

the problem is that Suna is really weary of tourists/foreigners, so accessing certain areas, restaurants or pubs may be denied because they require invitations. That would limit your acess to tea houses and restaurants in the main city/touristic areas where the inflation is crazzzzyyyyyyy for outsiders. Also the language barrier doesnt help...

the best deal would be to be invited among someone's familiy and celebrate with them, it's just as good as going out

5- Old Kirigakure (Dangerous Territories ahead...)

It is advised for regular citizen (especiall women and children) to stay inside as soon as the sun sets. They say the freaks come out at night, all criminals and gang members come out after nightfall. they occupate various pubs and bars. The city is dual face because it is literraly re-birthed at night for a whole different aura to plague the city at night.

most illegal activities take place at night.

there are a lot of brothels operating under criminal leadership. along with illegal/dubious boxing matches and fight clubs where gambling happens.

Gambling is no joke, it is a serious widespread practice where you can witness (and participate with) players with dices on street corners.

At all time, territories are clearly separated, either by criminal affiliations, ethnicities or caste levels. cross it and will likely pay it with your life.

as a foreigner, if you fit the physical attributes of the local men, you could go unnoticed for some time but it adviced not to even try since you may be cooked when people ask for your paperwork to enter certain spaces. also even if you make and get "accepted", the wrong gesture, word could lead to a misunderstanding and escalate into violence

Kirigakure is male centered society. 90% of the people outside at night are male. many levels of society caters to them hence why a lot of adult males without criminal affialition have no problem going out at night to drink their souls away.

you can witness public intercourse

going on the previous point, there is a deep (but hidden) male LGBT culture running in Kiri. many of them are affiliated with various gangs or crimelords like Gato. Some would suggest that homosexuality is lowkey normalized among gangs (do the homie) but it will never be confirmed. So if you know where to look, are determined (crazy) enough, and looking for a hookup with a tattoed muscular dude with a questionable (dead) body count, then go ahead.

Ironically, the gigolo scene industry is as large as female adult entertainment/prostitution in Kiri. they are not going to tell you that most of them are gang members who fell from grace/punished for making mistakes or literal human trafficking.

6- Amegakure (DO NOT TRESSPASS)

RAVES. The rave culture is unmatched. If you are looking for hardcore parties with moshpits and loud eletronic music you are looking at the right place.

The night culture is really the bulk of what there is to do in Ame, its residents uses thoses parties and alcohol to escape for the reality of their daily lives.

Like everything in the country, it is so hard to acces and it doesnt like outsiders not even a little bit. most of them are not allowed to even enter the city's walls.

There you can find the HARDEST drugs in the entire world. Addictions is a real issue in Ame but when i mean hard i mean amnesia (you forget your life before you consumed it) type of hard

if you go there, you 10000% getting robbed.

i did a 24 hour fast, and i ate vegan nuggets, avocado and a tortilla and a vegan twix with iced coffe for dessert, and i’m fasting again

Y'all know what's solarpunk? Or at least sustainable? A good sourdough starter. It requires flour, quite a bit of it to get started, but it's healthier for you, and you can use the discard after the initial start phase for all kinds of tasty things meaning no waste and less store bought pancakes, crackers, brownies, breads, etc.

Here's how you make a starter (disclaimer this is how i made it, I've noticed a lot of sourdough purists insisting u need to weigh everything every time you feed and you need a scale for all your recipes, etc i have done none of that and i don't have the energy for all that either)

You need:

Flour, i use unbleached but that's because i had a bag lying around i used for vegan cookies as a gift and i heard it works for starters, Harold (my starter) seems to like it so why change, but I've heard of people using literally any kind of flour

Water, enough to mix into a thick pancake batter consistency

If you feel weird wasting flour you can try the quarantiny starter idea from king Arthur's flour which uses only a tablespoon of flour and some water until it's active and then you bulk it up when you want to bake with it.

You're going to want to add your flour and water and mix until it's a thick pancake batter consistency, i started with a half cup of flour but i left on vacation and my grandma accidentally bulked it up so now it's up to like a cup.

Every 24 hours (not exact measurement and some people swear by feeding it every 12, i do 24 but it varies by person and starter) you are going to want to toss half (in the garbage at this stage) and mix in about the same amount of flour as the mixture you just tossed (ex. You estimate you tossed half cup of starter, add half cup of flour to remainder in jar) add enough water til you reach consistency. I've gotten told this doesn't work but my starter is happy and thriving so I'm sticking with it.

Once your starter is active and consistently doubling within 8 hours after feeding (you will notice it does this in the first few days, that's Bad Yeast do not use. Your starter will hit a slump and then come back to rising, that's good yeast. I recommend putting a rubber band or hair tie where it is after u feed so u can monitor rise easier) experts recommend waiting ten days from initial starter start date to use it, i waited three weeks. Toss all starter at feeding during this time.

ONCE UR STARTER IS ACTIVE then u can save all the stuff u were tossing in a jar in the fridge (i use an old spaghetti sauce jar, and my starter is also in a big olive jar lmao) and use it in recipes that doesn't require yeast, this is sourdough discard and you can find a ton of recipes online for it.

If you want to use it to bake bread, you will use it when it's at its peak rise area, usually double what it was when you feed it. This is the yeast being all active and happy which will rise your bread. I recommend this recipe for beginners:

I reduced the salt to 1 tsp and added probably around a cup and a half of whole wheat flour, i had it lying around and why not. Changes will depend on your elevation and what works for you, it's not a science which is why no recipe will work for literally everybody. “I’m comfortable with my life,” Stiles told Lydia, and he was. He had a job he loved, his pack was safe, and he got to see them regularly. Yeah, there was one thing he would like to change, but there's only so much he can do to change that one thing. Stiles was pretty sure that dating other people wouldn’t help. Or Stiles agrees to let Lydia set him up on a blind date, not realizing who exactly she had in mind.

This was written For L_Grae with the prompts: ~Mutual pining with meddling from the pack. ~Future fic, blind date set up by certain packmates, not realizing Sterek has a FWB agreement already.

Unfortunately, I can't quite write friends with benefits (I gave it a valiant effort, but my brain just couldn't get it right), so I merged the prompts together.

Locking the office up with a whistle, Stiles tossed his keys in the air before catching them and shoving them in his back pocket before he turned to walk down the street to the combination coffee and bar that sat a block or so away from his office. He mentally patted himself on the back for that smooth move before abruptly tripping on nothing. Stiles looked around quickly. No one saw that.

That was the one good thing about it getting dark before Stiles even leaves the office at this time. The whole shorter days thing that came with winter coming AND Daylight Savings Time ending at the same time does get somewhat depressing at times, but it’s not like Stiles has never gone around town at night before.

Back in high school, nights were the only times that Stiles could really investigate supernatural happenings what with needing to actually go to school. He always did love a good puzzle to investigate and even contemplated  joining the FBI. However, after botching up his own internship with the FBI, Stiles ended up going to college at Beacon Hills Community College. While still in school, Stiles started a side hustle as a Supernatural Private Investigator, and, upon graduation, he was able to devote his time to his growing business, even opening an office in the slowly reemerging downtown area of Beacon Hills.

Thanks to the combined efforts of the local Beacon County packs, the Nemeton was growing healthily again, bringing positive energies with it, something even the everyday humans could feel. Because of this, more people, both supernatural and human, were moving to town and slowly building up the local economy.

Just the short walk between Stiles’ office and Lunar Lounge, his favorite bar and coffee shop, included a boutique one of Stiles’ old classmates opened, a vegan smoothie shop, owned by a nice family of elves that just moved here a few years back, and a greenhouse bookstore whose owners were always more than happy to provide Stiles with any herbs he needed for potions work after he helped them with a pixie infestation that took residence in one of their personal gardens at their house.

The Lunar Lounge was where many of the Hale pack worked. Open practically 24 hours, it served coffee and breakfast for the morning crowd before transitioning into a pub style bar in the afternoons. In addition to providing human beverages, Lunar Lounge also offered a variety of specialty drinks for the different supernaturals of Beacon Hills, including but not limited to wolfsbane infused homebrews, real bloody marys, and a selection of shimmering, almost ethereal, wines that Peter had procured a vendor for that Stiles was pretty sure was fae, but the wolf refused to confirm or deny that suspicion.

Entering the open double doors, Stiles nodded at Isaac who was behind the bar preparing some fancy pink and yellow monstrosity of a cocktail that was most definitely too sweet for Stiles’ liking.

He crossed the open sea of scuffed wooden tables, dodging a pair of colorful haired women that suddenly blocked his path as they stood up to go who knows where. Reaching the back corner, he found Derek at his usual table that he’d probably been sitting at for the last several hours, hidden from most by a black metal staircase that led to a lofted lounge area. Dark eyebrows furrowed as Derek continued to type on his laptop.

As Stiles plopped down in the seat across from him, Derek glanced up before he said, “I’m almost done. Give me a minute.”

Stiles grinned, “You’re good.” Derek smiled before turning his attention back to the screen.

Back in 2020, when I still lived in the US, I bought these sugar cookies from Walmart.

I'm back in Japan now and I miss these a lot, so...

I decided to make my own today!

Ingredients for the cookies:

6 ounces powdered sugar 4 ounces margarine or butter 4 ounces unsalted butter softened 1 large egg, room temperature 13 ounces cake flour 2 teaspoons cornstarch 1 teaspoon baking soda ½ teaspoon baking powder 1 teaspoon cream of tartar 1 teaspoon clear vanilla extract or real extract ¼ teaspoon almond extract ¼ teaspoon salt

Ingredients for the buttercream frosting:

8 ounces unsalted butter, softened 16 ounces powdered sugar 2 teaspoons vanilla extract 4 ounces milk ½ teaspoon electric pink food coloring (must be of good quality and can be of any brand that's available at your local grocery store) 2 tablespoons rainbow sprinkles ¼ teaspoon salt

Instructions for the cookies:

In the bowl of your stand mixer with the whisk attachment (or you can use a hand mixer) cream together the butter, margarine, and powdered sugar until it's light and fluffy.

Add in your vanilla, almond extract, and egg and mix on medium until combined.

Add in your baking soda, baking powder, salt, cream of tartar and cornstarch and mix until combined.

Switch to the paddle attachment and mix in your cake flour just until it's combined.

Do not overmix (or you can do this by hand.) Scoop your batter onto a parchment-lined baking sheet with a medium-sized cookie scoop (or you can use a spoon.)

Cover with plastic wrap and chill in the fridge for 2 hours (or up to 24 hours.)

Preheat your oven to 375ºF.

Roll the chilled dough into balls and then flatten with your fingers into cookies that are about ½" thick and 3" wide.

Arrange on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake your cookies for 8-9 minutes or just until the sheen disappears from the top of the cookie.

Place onto a cooling rack to cool fully before frosting with buttercream and finishing with sprinkles.

How to store leftover cookies:

Store them in an airtight container for up to a week or store them in the fridge for freezing.

Instructions for the frosting:

In the bowl of your stand mixer (or using a hand mixer), cream your butter until it's smooth using the whisk attachment.

Start adding your powdered sugar while mixing on low until it's all incorporated.

Add in your vanilla, milk, salt, and food coloring and mix it until it's smooth.

Pipe on top of the cookies with a round tip (I used an 804) and top with sprinkles.

(Since this recipe is vegan-friendly, you can substitute the animal-derived ingredients for plant-based ingredients.)
