“Did we do this before?” Zoë asked.
Hikaru tilted her head slightly. “Do what?”
“This.” Zoë waved her hand, first between them, then at the infirmary around them. “You running around getting hurt, me patching you up after?”
Hikaru laughed softly, her cheeks dimpling and making her look even more unfairly cute. “Well, most of the time you were right there with me, making sure we didn’t get shot.”
“Oh so this was a regular occurrence,” Zoë said, just a little pitchy. “Running around getting shot at?”
A small crease formed between Hikaru’s eyebrows as they drew together. “Zoë… how much do you remember exactly?”
“I don’t—” Zoë bit her lip. “It’s foggy. There’s bits I remember in more detail but it’s more that I remember remembering. That and- and the emotions.” It was terrifying to look at Hikaru and know that she loved her, to know that if she stretched her quirk out she would be able to use it with ease, the breadth and depth of the emotion she felt for the other girl fueling her quirk more than anything Zoë felt for anyone else except her family.
Hikaru’s eyes softened, and she reached out and took Zoë’s hand in hers. “It’s okay,” she said. “To not remember. Whether you do or not, I still like you.”
“But you remember a different me,” Zoë blurted. “You- you know these things about a me that maybe I was before but I’m not now, and I might never be! I don’t-” She hastily wiped away the tears that were welling up. “Everyone has expectations of me and I don’t want you to-” She swallowed against the lump in her throat, her voice dropping to a whisper. “I don’t want to disappoint you too.”

I don't believe in right person wrong time.
If you didn't want to make it work, then you just are not the right person.
The right person will stick by no matter what the times bring.
