Skeleton Invasion

Pariah's castle was boring, and since Danny had inherited it he hadn't really done anything with it, although he felt a little bad for the skeleton soldiers (even though he wasn't sure they actually had a personality, they always acted the same).

So he sent them on missions around the universes. They would probably cause a bit of chaos but they were the best option to investigate, since they couldn't die.

When one of them found many cracks to the Realms, he informed Danny immediately, and Danny sent more skeletons, just to be on the safe side.

Unbeknownst to him, the young King had caused panic in the DC universe. The Justice League wasn't sure what to make of the skeleton invasion (technically they weren't doing harm, they seemed to be wandering around and looking for something), it became a problem when they discovered what they were looking for.

Lazarus pits, the skeleton army was looking for Lazarus pits (Batman wondered if the skeleton's "master" wanted to use the pits), looking on in dismay, the League prepared for an impending invasion.

Though none of them expected a teenager emerging from a portal and congratulating the skeletons. What?

To be with you three

The justice league was in critical condition, a unknown entity had breached the universe's protection, and was now creating havoc everywhere.

He called himself, Skulker. he already had captured half of the justice league. and was only interested in fighting Red hood. Something about being a Halfa or something.

Red hood was not having fun, nor was Batman. Everything was in shambles. Even the most powerful cannot defeat the floating entity. the JLD was trying the best they could but to no avail they couldn't contain it, The entity aimed his weapon at Red hood and took fire.

When all hope seemed lost, Vines sprouted up the ground and saved Red hood in the last minute. The other vines also grabbed the other heroes and made a protective barrier between the entity and the JL.

confused the heroes looked at the rogue who was floating, his expression was now with fear and nervousness, he frantically looked at his surrounding seemingly expecting something.

"Are you all alright?" A voice asked, making all heads turn towards to a woman that looked like she's in early adulthood, with long black hair cascading down to hair waists, she looked like someone that can fit into Gotham's aesthetic with her thick eyeliner and her gothic style and a couple of vines that wrapped around her body.

"Who are you?" Batman asked his guard not wavering a single bit.

"My name is Foliahàrà, And we're here to take care of that Ghost." Sam pointed towards Skulker who was looking at her nervously.

"We're?" Superman asked

"Me and my partners. speaking of them here they are right now." Sam said in a tone that no one could specify if she's bored or it's just her personality.

A loud bang shook the city, when they looked back were the entity named Skulker was now gone, In his place was a man? woman? with white hair and green eyes, he had a cloak that shrieks royalty and a black pointy crown floating above their head, Skulker was now on the ground, a crater was formed below him, he was down. he was down. and all it took was a punch from the person

Another man came to the scene he was holding a thermos of some sort. he looked normal, normal clothes and all to the very least if you ignored all the gadgets and sand that followed him, he walked up to Skulker who was most likely knocked out, he opened the thermos and it turned the entity into a liquid before trapping it inside.

"Well that's taken care of." Foliahàrà said, as she retracted her vines that was protecting everyone, she froze then turned her surprised gaze towards Red Hood and eyed him making him uncomfortable, she floated to his direction making the man take a step back, Batman tried to hit her with his batarang keyword:tried, it just went through her.

for the first time she arrived she smiled at hood then with the outmost gentle voice she said. "you're a baby ghost." She cooed as she placed both of her hands at the side of Red hood's head, which he stared at her confused more confused when the pits became quiet all the sudden.

"I've got to tell Phantom and Codelith." she stated and took flight with the crime lord in her arms, she carried him towards her partners in the sky like a newborn baby, protests from the heroes below was ignored by Sam, as she continued to fly up, when superman tried to get her, she shot out a few of her vines that successfully trapped the hero, he tried to escape but her vines was stronger, and why was this power making him weak? like it doesn't hurt but it makes him really tired .

Red hood stayed quiet, trying to comprehend what happened did he get kidnapped or something? holy shit he did get kidnapped.

"Phantom, Codelith! I got a baby!" Sam stated as she finally catched up to them.

"Holy shit, Foliahàrà you can't just kidnap someone else's child" The one with glasses exclaimed with panicked hands, as he teleported near them.

"Cool new kid, More members for our cult" Phantom said as he floated towards red hood who still held onto the Photalis, because when i tell you he was afraid to fall 30 meters from the ground is an understatement.

Phantom's Number 1 Fan Part 3

John Constantine calls a joint Justice League and Justice League Dark meeting.

It's not something he wants to do. He barely works with the LJD, but at least that lot understands his work and knows what to do and where to go.

The JL members always ask questions and forget proper manners when working with the paranormal- John isn't the most well-mannered bloke around, but even he knows to permanently say goodbye to ghosts so that they don't follow him home- and it's like trying to teach an intern while dodging bullets.

He prefers to avoid the whole origination, especially since Bruce's death; everyone has been walking on eggshells, and there is a sense of disorganization drenched in grief that John breaks into hives just thinking about, but this is big.

Bigger than he can handle it on his own or with just the JLD. Even if the whole group gives the bats not-so-stable glances as they filter in.

John notices that one of Batman's brats is missing- the smart one- but he has heard that the kid suffered some kind of psychotic break from his father's death. It's sad, really, mainly because John used to believe that the third Robin was the one with the good head on his shoulders.

What's worse is that the Third Robin up and ran off, having gone off the grid when he refused to accept Batman's death. The boy hadn't said anything besides, "The portraits told me!" after having a miniature breakdown in his home.

It didn't help that around this time, the boy teammates had all dropped like flies except for one. So yes, John knows it wasn't a big surprise that he lost it, but it was still sad to see. Kid is only seventeen.

He hopes they find him soon to give him the help he needs. John would offer a spell to try and find him, but he needs to learn about the kid better, which means his spell can only point in a general direction.

Nightwing looked downright ragged, but losing a father on the battlefield and a younger brother to his grief did a number on anyone.

John hates himself just a little for dragging the grieving family here. He does, but again, this is bigger than all of them. This is a matter of life and death- literally.

"Listen up. We have a bloody level ten on its way to Earth if it's not already here." His words cut through the muttering crowd, shutting everyone up. A level ten makes even the big, lousy Superman sweat. He snaps his fingers, allowing his magic to shift into the image of a King Phantom sitting on his throne- painted in the early 1200s and the picture that can be used to identify him.

The art style would have been almost modern if it wasn't for the unease that the painting could cause due to the glowing green from his majesty's portrait. They say the green was ectoplasm from the king himself- and that alone should warn others to not mess with him.

Everyone Justice League Dark member hissed through their teeth, sitting up straighter and a few even pale. John is once again grateful that they understand just how deep in shit they genuinely are.

"This is the Ghost King. He is not to be confused with a god or king of gods. He's something else entirely because he makes gods nervous. He is on his way here to kill whoever is dumb enough to threaten his pregnant fiancee, and I fear the rest of Earth will be collateral if we don't prepare-"

"That's Danny Phantom," A young voice cuts John off. He is surprised someone would talk over him in a level ten briefing. All eyes turn to Robin- er, the new Robin.

The kid is frowning at the image, his signature scowl already deeper than usual. He's also heard the new Robin was a spoiled boy who was not a team player.

"You know King Phantom?" John asks.

Robin nods. "Placeholder is obsessed with him. Half his room is covered with King Phantom's heroics."

"Do not call him that.," Nightwing hisses a second later. He frowned when Robin ignored him but returned to the room without further comment on the boy's cheek. "Danny Phantom is a low-level search and rescue hero. He pops up around the world but only sometimes interacts with people. Robin- Young Justice Robin- was obsessed with him."

The room gains an awkward weight as no one is willing to bring up the mentally unsound MIA teenager.

It's too bad for them. John has never cared about making anyone comfortable. "You said his room is covered in images of King Phantom?"

From the corner of his eyes, John catches sight of Zatanna's face. She's pale white, with a horrified expression as if though she was standing before the grim itself. Every other member of the Justice League Dark is in a similar state.

"Yes, he has a whole wall of posters and stuff." Nightwing conforms, and shit John knows who Phantom's after now.

The thing is, one just doesn't have pictures of King Phantom. No one knows why, but the Ghost King can not be documented. Not without having some kind of connection to the King.

Throughout history, the only ones who have ever had even one solid picture of the king- John's magic doesn't count cause he can't well hold the thing up forever- usually meant that the King would appear before them at one point.

There is also a myth if one could beat a member of the royal ghost family, then one wish is granted to them. If one can kill a royal ghost member, death can be overturned.

It's not true, obviously, for death is not easily beaten like that, but John knows that as an expert, would a mentally unwell teenager know the same?

It was also known that if the King appeared before you, something terrible would happen. The sighting of King Phantom often came as an omen and usually right before a terrible disaster.

In the last disaster, they lost Batman, and if King Phantom had shown up, where the Third Robin have spotted him? Where the Third Robin have thought the King could return the dead?

Not to mention the rumors!

King Phantom was hunting down a group of humans known as "The Bats." John hadn't put that much stock in that rumor simply because it could have been anyone- hell, when he looked up the bats seven different groups appeared, varying from boy bands to zoologists.

But if he placed the name "The Bats" next to the Third Robin's psychotic break, his obsession with King Phantom, and his intertwined fates...well, shit.

There is a slight chance that the Third Robin's fate could be intertwined with the Ghost King in a positive light, but John has learned to not be optimistic in his line of work.

"I think the Third Robin is gunning after the Ghost King's fiancee and unborn child in a misguided attempt to bring Batman back to life. He may have kicked started a war that humanity can not win," He announces. He hates to say. hates to even suggest it, but the needs of the many outweigh those of the few. "We have to find the Third Robin and attempt to stop him. If we can't reason with him, we must put him down."

Wonder Girl gasps a sob, pressing her hand against her mouth.

John hates himself a little more as she sobs; a few rushes to confront her, but no one is unaffected by the news.

"I'm ordering a hunt for the Third Robin," Wonderwoman speaks up to her steady leadership, returning everyone from their despair. "Every available hero will help. Do not use lethal force unless there is no other choice. We may be able to find him before King Phantom's armies arrive."

John just hopes they are not too late.

Meanwhile, across the plane of existence, unaware of the manhunt for his head, Tim Drake is trying to stare down a Yeti, attempting to put him in silk clothes that are just fabrics held together by strings.

"No."

"But-But- but you have such a flattering figure! You must flaunt it! The Great One will barely be able to contain himself if he sees you in this!"

"No. It looks like something you wear on a honeymoon to seduce your spouse. I'm not walking around in that."

"Well, you don't need to bewitch his majesty. You already have a child on the way." The Yeit mutters, considering the fabric in his claws with a frown. He is Frostbite's royal tailor and has been attempting to dress Tim for over an hour. Everything he's suggested so far looks like it came from those romantic fantasy games.

It's like they want to make him a sexy consort or something.

Tim's teeth grind against each other. He hates how often his role is reminded, how casually the yetis mention that Ra's expects a child from Tim.

He doesn't even know how that child will come to be, and it makes him sick. He's been bidding his time, waiting for his wounds to heal and to find a weakness in the frozen fortress, but so far, he is unsure how he will escape.

And Bruce is still out there, waiting for Tim to get him. He can't waste any more time here.

"How about this cloak?" The Yeti offers, holding up a dark metallic fabric that reminds TIm of his Robin cape. "If we are going for a more conservative look, something that screams power is just the way to make the masses wild!"

Ugh, he really needs to think of a plan soon.

I’ve been thinking about Damian leaving his life in Gotham to become a bookstore owner in Amity Park, Illinois, like he met Danny in the league and they had an arranged marriage that the Batfam did not know about and Damian didn’t want them to know anyway so he just flat out left and made a new life for himself near his beloved.

Damian owns a bookstore/coffee shop (obviously) and they live in this apartment above the building and the Everlasting Trio find out about this new place in town called The Bird’s Nest and they decide to try it out but as soon as they walk in Danny hears Damian, in this customer service voice say, “Welcome to The Bird’s Nest, make yourself at home.” and he runs to the cashier and sees his lover and breaks down. Damian hears his ugly sobs and looks up in concern.

Upon seeing Danny he rushes over to comfort him and Danny immediately latches onto him and saying things like “I thought i’d never see you again” and “please be real, please” and Damian is like “i’m here, it's me, i’m so so sorry, Beloved.” and Tucker and Sam are like freaking out a little but seeing Damian hold Danny like that they decided to just hang back for a little bit while Danny calms down, and once he can breathe without stuttering and can speak without feeling like the world is ending they all sit down in a booth together and they explaining to Tucker and Sam how they know each other.

Tucker and Sam are like a little concerned about it but they’re like “it’s fine we knew each other since we were toddlers and we got to know each other pretty well in the 15 years before our marriage.”  and so Damian and the Everlasting Trio start hanging out together a lot and they all start to fall in love :]

Meanwhile in Gotham

The Batfam are freaking the fuck out.

They’re frantically searching for Damian everywhere. They call Talia and ask her but she says she hasn’t seen him since his wedding which makes the Batfam panic even more because what wedding??  But she doesn’t say anything and they are confused but that’s not their concern so they contact the Justice League and get them involved like Robin is missing and we don’t know where he could be.  

So the JL are like searching and they come up with nothing and they decide to get Justice League Dark involved like Robin’s missing what do we do?  and JLD is like searching until they run out of other options and decide to summon the Ghost King Phantom and his Knight and Consorts

but they don’t know that the king has multiple consorts… Or that one of them is Damian… SO they summon them and the king looms over his knight as he covers his consorts with his cloak and Batman is like “please.. please, Great King Phantom… I need to find my child..” and the JL and JLD (that dont know their identities) are like omg does batsy think of rob as his child  and the King is like “Who are you looking for?” and Batman is like “Robin…Damian Wayne.” and the king tilts his head then opens his cape and Damian walks out slowly like “oh shit I forgot to tell them that I was gonna make a whole new life for myself in an entirely different state.”  and just goes “…heyyy.” and the Batfam starts freaking out like “Where have you been?!?” and Damian just goes “I was with my Beloveds.” 

and the batfam is like

“…”

“BELOVEDS, MULTIPLE???”

The senior class of Casper High wanted to do something a little more unique than just a plan old party, so several ideas were thrown out and put to a class vote. The Casper High Senior Class all voted on what to do for their senior party, what won was a DnD live action game. It was put on with the help of many ghosts the main ones being Ghostwriter, Poindexter and Clockwork. Everyone got to design their own character and started at level one. The game ended when they did a whole campaign and because Clockwork was helping what could be months or years in the game would at most be a few days or a week in real life. Also everyone was given an option to create a backup character or not, so if they died they either became their new character or they showed back up at Casper High, where they could watch what was happening due to an app Technius created.

The class picked a field outside Amity Park for their game, not realizing that that much power to create and run this small world would attract JLD to investigate. JLD would be confused and not sure what this is. They would report back to the JL what they found who would also come and investigate not being as careful as the JLD members and get sucked into the world and assigned random classes, races and levels. Maybe as people are investigating this field others go into town to see if they can find more information there. Amity Parkers are not being very helpful to the JL because they hold a grudge for them not helping when the ghosts and GIW were a bigger problem so they just give out vague info. This gets misconstrued that the senior Casper High class is missing and possibly has been abducted to the field and are in grave danger.

In the game you only have the abilities your character has, so Danny is on the same level and abilities as everyone when they start as lv 1.

There is not outside communication besides watching the game from the app.

Also no talking about it being a game or the outside world and sticking to your character personality. The class really commits to their characters.

DP X DC WRITING PROMPT #13

(I've been kicking this idea around for a while, so here's this.)

Mistaken Species

Phantom gets mistaken for a greater ice demon by a wannabe wizard going on a "gotta catch'em all" spree, and is subsequently sealed inside said wizard's book of magic as a potential binding summons/familiar. Danny goes missing for months? Years? Regardless of how long, somehow, someway, the book falls into Constantine's hands --He probably stole it in a game of poker. Yes, stole.-- then he pretty much just stashes it in the House of Mystery for safekeeping like all the other magic items that have been confiscated by the JLD.

It isn't until a world ending heat related threat appears, that he excavates the book and proceeds to make a familiar's contract with what he thinks is a powerful ice demon. What he gets instead is a very confused, very scared, and very exhausted Danny. Unfortunately for both of them, the familiar's contract still binds despite Danny being the wrong species of supernatural creature it was intended for. They are now stuck with each other for an indefinite amount of time.

Luckily, on the other hand, Phantom is still suited to handling the task he was summoned for and whoops ass and saves the day with his ice powers in little to no time at all. The Justice League are shocked by how quickly and efficiently the kid handled everything where they struggled in comparison.

Constantine has to explain the mix up to both the Justice League and to Danny--hes still very confused, not so much scared, and very tired--and how this ghost child is now stuck being around Constantine, and subsequently the Justice League Dark/Justice League whenever he's called in to help.

Shenanigans ensue as well as the majority of the JL trying to make his stay as comfortable as possible. Danny keeps dropping info bombs on how screwed up his human/hero life and his relationship with his parents is, and eventually help him contact his friends and sister, who have been worried sick about him over the years he'd been missing.

This is how the Justice League learn about what a dead zone (ha) Amity Park is and then step up to handle situation with the guidance of Phantom himself.

The amount of time Danny's been missing, as well as the guidelines of the familiar/summons contract are up to you to decide!

(Do I use Constantine too much for these prompts? He just fits so well in so many different au scenarios, it's kinda hard not to keep throwing him into the story.)

Prompt/Idea!

I'm searching for a job, god damnit!

So, a fresh college graduate Danny is searching for a job. He moved out of the Amity park as soon as he could, never ending up revealing himself to his parents. For a very good reason, Jazz, Sam and Tucker agree.

Anyway, he didn't manage to go into any of the space programs or fancy colleges. The first one was cut short by his health stats. Being electrocuted half to death leaves its marks apparently. Who knew. The second one was caused by his abyssamal marks. He did manage to seal the portal in his las year of Highschool but it was too late.

Sam and Tucker moved out. Tucker to the Metropolis. Jazz and Sam decided to settle down in Gotham for the time being. Danny... wasn't sure where to go yet. He got his degree in engineering and just rented an apartment in one of the small towns near the big Sister cities.

Honestly, he wasn't too sad about his life. He could visit even the deepest corners of space on his own. And he often did. Well, when Frostbite would allow to use the Infi-map and tag allong. His family was close. His life was alright.

But Ancients, why was it so hard to find a job that wasn't a MLM in disguise?! It seemed as if no matter what listing he took, it would lead to the same office, same MLM and same conditions! At least it seemed like the recuter was just as confused as he was by his continued appearance.

OR:

JL is searching for a good engeneer and some put up listings under their civilian identities. Meanwhile, JLD is searching for Phantom regarding the Anti-Ecto Acts that were recently discovered. Since the guy is a ghost they tried to summon him. Didn't work. Then they decided to add a small attraction spell to the listings from the JL.

Danny keeps finding new job offers. The conditions sound super dream like, sketchy as shit and way too good. But he has to sign an NDA before any more of what the job entails would be given.

Flash, who was put in charge of interviewing people, because he was being punished for something, is getting more and more confused and concerned for the kid

thinking about how Batman is listed as a member of the Justice League Dark sometimes + was featured in the JLD movie DESPITE not being a magic user. imagine the shenanigans this could potentially evolve into.

imagine some magic users from the normal JL ask to join the JLD and are promptly rejected. you have Capitan Marvel going “wait, why aren’t we allowed to join? we’re magic too!”

and Wonder Woman is next to him, all serious like, “yes, if your purpose is to gather magic users, i believe we should be able to join.”

Constantine just shrugs like he couldn’t give less of a fuck and just says something like “sorry princess, i don’t make the rules here.”

they’re a bit upset at first, but everyone sorta forgets about it until they’re in a meeting, and Constantine crashes it with a super vague and ominous, “sorry to interrupt, but there’s some urgent business that needs to be attended.” and everyone is so busy rolling their eyes or looking intrigued, that they miss Zatanna turning to Batman.

they have a telepathic conversation because childhood friends psychic link™️, and Batman is the one that finally answers: “we’re almost done here.”

and Zatanna finishes it with a: “we’ll meet you there, John.”

and Constantine is all, “you don’t seem to understand the meaning of urgent.” both Batman and Zatanna just stare/glare at him until he just goes, “fine. whatever. i’ll see you two later.” and leaves.

and there’s like three seconds of contemplation before someone just screams “WAIT BATMAN GETS TO GO??”

both Wonder Woman and Capitan Marvel are staring like >:0 and a bunch of other people are looking at Batman is disbelief. like, sure. Batman is good at what he does and all, but the JLD had been very picky with their members and they randomly let someone who’s neither magic nor meta join?

Superman is just kinda confused “but you’re not a magic user?”

Flash is also confused “and you’re not a magic creature?? i think.”

but Batman is annoyed, so he just goes “irrelevant. let’s get this over with already.” and everyone knows the won’t be able to get more out of him for the moment. but they’re not just going to let it go.

I’m reading my newest JLD trade and ohhhhhhh. the intricate johnzee rituals…..john trying to take zee on a date…..Zee calling out for John when she’s hurt….the layers of her trying to keep secrets from him and the anger and confusion he felt, the fact that their relationship was in a weird place and then BOOM jl 75 turns around and kills zee…..oh it’s delicious. The angst, the guilt, the acute pain of losing zee and the last thing that happened between them was him mad at her……I’m sorry but I’m eating it up. The POSSIBILITIES. I will pay someone 15$ to write me a 7k angst oneshot about it

Commentary on James new DCU plans ?

At long last: the wait is over.

Running through the list:

Film

Superman: Legacy - Not really much to go off of other than the name being rather boring. Probably chose it over something like Superman: Man of Tomorrow simply to make sure people wouldn't confuse it for a MoS sequel. It's coming in 2025 and will be the first "proper" DCU film, which means we will get casting by the end of 2023 at least. I've seen some folks speculate that "Legacy" means the real focus will be on Clark mentoring Kara or Jon and I don't see that happening. If that was the plan then there's no need to drop Cavill, since he just would be playing support. Whoever the new Superman will be, he will be front and center.

The Authority - No one saw this one coming. How the hell this will work in the DCU is anyone's guess. I think they'll have Manchester Black form the team as a reaction to Superman, and ultimately there will be a clash between Supes and the Authority that ends with Black being ousted in favor of Jenny Sparks. Perhaps it will even lead into an adaption of Morrison S&tA given the Morrison influence seen elsewhere in the slate? Either way I'm very excited to see what Gunn does.

Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow - I loved the mini, I'm excited for this.

Lanterns - I get both of my favorite Lanterns in the DCU! Surprising that they would scrap Berlanti's show right after signing a big deal with him. I'm going to guess that they discover evidence of the White Martians invading, and that's what leads into the DCU JL forming.

The Brave and the Bold - Skipping right to Damian is surprising but that might be to avoid stepping on Reeves toes. I guess there will be another age gap between Superman and Batman?

The Batman Part II - Batman fans eating good, you'll get solo gritty dark Batman and more comic-y Batman.

Swamp Thing - As if you needed any more confirmation that the Abrams JLD projects are dead. I love Swamp Thing but I'm going to need more info.

Television

Creature Commandos - Exact sort of obscure property we were expecting Gunn to love. Good to see DC is investing in animation still.

Paradise Lost - Might be good if they look to Historia for inspiration. "Game of Thrones with the Amazons" could go sour really quickly depending on how they characterize the Amazons.

Waller - If Bloodsport shows up here I'll watch it, otherwise I think I'm good.

Booster Gold - Never really cared for Gold myself but this character is exactly the kind of character Gunn loves. If he casts Pratt in the role all hell will break loose and I would be there for it.

Misc.

Seems like Levi, Gadot, Momoa, and even Miller(!!!) might get to continue in their roles. You won't see actors play two characters at the same time in the DCU, so I guess Momoa won't be Lobo after all? Look, part of the problem is that Gunn can't say anything that will negatively impact the box office returns for 2023, meaning he's not going to say they're done even if they are because then people might go "these don't matter", and stay home. The Wrap claims that The Flash is going to get the Elseworlds brand which makes it unlikely Calle would continue on as Supergirl, but it's too early to say at this point.

Keeping any of the main Leaguers in their roles is going to cause the same kind of continuity clusterfuck as the New 52 not rebooting Batman and GL did, but you know what? At this point I don't care. Not my problem, all I want are good Superman and Supergirl movies, with some exciting spinoffs like LoSH too. Don't give a rat's ass if the JL film sucks or the continuity makes sense as long as I get what I want. I'll follow the projects that look interesting and ignore the ones that don't.

There's a "brain trust" of writers advising Gunn, one of whom is Tom King which is sure to piss off plenty but leaves me rather happy. Maybe King is even writing the script for Supergirl? Morrison and King are clearly Gunn's guiding lights, and far as Superman goes they're two of his best writers. Adam Strange fans are in for a rough ride no doubt.

Gunn also confirmed that they continue to plan on synergy across multiple mediums which makes me nervous. If his Superman sucks then I'm going to be stuck with a take I don't like showing up everywhere in a way not even Snyder/Cavill's take did. On the other hand the emphasis that the synergy will include DCU games makes me hopeful that maybe we might finally get a goddamn Superman game, and if that happens then I'll take that synergy. S&L may get to run for 1 to 2 more seasons - wasn't clear if S3 is included in that 1 to 2 more - but that will hopefully let S&L last for 4-5 seasons which is a solid tenure for a show. Not sure how MAWS will fit into Gunn's plan, but I hope he just lets it run and makes his own Superman cartoon if he wants one.

Feels nice to be excited after years of flinching and dreading every DC announcement. Not a perfect slate, not what *I* would do, but there's a healthy mix of A-Listers, B/C-Listers, and oddballs that appeal to Gunn. Not all of the slate has been revealed, and I'm sure we will get another JL movie before the decade is done, but for a starting slate I think DC's future looks bright.

BTW In Earth 1T8 the Justice League members are Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Flash, Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter, Zatanna? and Cyborg... I might put Zatanna, Constantine, Madame Xannadu, Deadman & maybe Enchantress and Dr. Fate? in JLD with Zatanna as mediator. And the only thing that differs from those in the other world is that they have never worked with Batman and that except for Wonder Woman, no one has investigated them.

BUT I'M WRITING ONLY THE live action MOVIE CHARAS ONES HERE 'CAUSE SO MUCH chara WRITING end me in a RIGMAROLE.

It would be difficult for most of them not to go platonic yandere for a furry WITHOUT powers who is dedicated to trying to save the world.

I think in cases like Superman and Wonder Woman, even Cyborg, it would be easier for you to meet them by their alter ego and in your normal form. An interview, donations to museums or Star laboratories or scholarships, etc.

Okay, here's one thing that has always confused me, unless Batman's cowl also has lead, and having Superman super senses and such. I mean, being a journalist with two fingers for a forehead, it shouldn't be easy -and by that I mean AUTOMATIC- to find out who the Bat is with a little x-ray??, even if it was accidentally ?? peripheral vision and stuff. The smell?? I could tell who has woken up in my house by how they go down the stairs??? Even if he doesn't connect the dots because doesn't want or refuse look at your face, it's seeing the broken bones in civil form, even without knowing about the famous Wayne.

And, lets says he gets an interview with you and sees that, well shit, actually, whether you have a good reputation or not, you are a good person he can see and hear it (but, wtf with these wounds)? Literally every invitation to the most important newspapers, he always comes as the Daily Planet representative. AND NOBODY SAYS ANYTHING because half of the Daily Planet doesn't want to get into the gossips of a billionaire or the follies of a Bat in a fucking crazy city. And he just wants to see Y/N, not the Bat, not the Wayne, because each time whe gets a glimp of them it's like coming home from a long journey. And that's Clark Kent's excuse to start seeing you and befriending you to the point where you don't have time to go batcrazy doing it because, hey, you have Superman as a guest at home. AGAIN. But your whole family is conspiring with him, whether they know identities or not, and everyone is saying "sush, if they know you're normal, they won't let you do batbarities." And now Superman suddenly patrols like 1/2 America including Gotham but only by chance of course and thank goodness that the Batcave DOES have lead.

Our Bat, here manipulator-founder of the JLA, ofc would have managed be the one to get Wonder Woman/ Diana to go from being a curator of the Louvre to the Smithsonian (what better than an expert who has lived through it), and she would have ended up discovering Y/N Wayne and their alter ego Bat sooner or later from there, I mean, although she sees this situation as a gift to the world, how big the heart of Reader! (a baby!!)but she won't be anyone else's pawn again, so, why found the JL?? (apart from psychopaths trying to destroy the world ... and that) And well. How not to go yandere to such a good person? You could have met him at one of the friendly competitions between Universities to which they always invite you because donating large amounts et all, or by his father and having donated to his laboratories. And sooner or later he would see that through some old camera recordings and so then he would have noticed you, a stranger who genuinely cared for him while -obviously- you scold his father for being a work freak.

Aquaman, this one it very difficult for me to see as platonic I confess. As if any of the above has sounded platonic at all. But I think he'd see you as a badass little sibling. But of those that while you threaten someone with a dagger he's behind you with a buster sword. At first he will be like: There is a human, a normal one, dressed as a bat, kicking butts in the middle of the night in a city overpopulated by weirdos?? Give me some popcorn. I'm gonna see it. That's Arthur. Afterward, well, anyone with a heart can only see a person fall and get up a specified number of times before they earn your reluctant respect, admiration, concern, and exasperation. And although Arthur tries to pretend that nothing matters to him, his heart is as big as his dominions.

He would approach you as Aquaman, because as the Bat is how he met you. Knowing your civil persona would amuse or irritate him because is so fucking fake (it's on you if your facade is flirt and sex with everything that moves, rich in drugs, tired parent, rich egocentric who donates to deduct taxes, rich stupid who believes that the world can turn rainbows with money and good intentions). And he would offer his help and ask for yours ("I know there are some oil dealers but no matter how much I clean up their shit if things on earth are not fixed, etc...") until between missions and such you would end up developing a dynamic of siblings. I don't think he realizes that maybe he's a slightly overprotective brother at times, because, like almost everyone except Superman, he lets you keep kicking butts (although he is by far the most relax with you doing that)

Now nobody of you is surprised that Earth 1T8 is better than the original world, or you are???? Hahahahaha.

DP X DC WRITING PROMPT #5

(Kinda number five-ish)

Here's a wild idea. Take my Lair of Mystery au + Reaper of Heroes au and combine them somehow. A crossover of crossovers.

Danny is the reaper of heroes and the House of Mystery is still his vacation lair or whatever. However, JLD haven't seen him while on duty as a reaper, just as the King on vacation, so they have no idea that the guy the JL are talking about and their new landlord are one and the same.

The search for Jason happens way before he helps with the world ending threat, but he's been hanging out with the JLD in the House of Mystery longer than even that. The JLD are the ones who introduced him to this dimension in the first place when he found them in his home. He's baffled at how much more dangerous this world is for heroes and villains alike and that's what made him decide to stick around in this particular dimension more often than others. It oddly reminds him of the group of heroes he met who were living in a big tower in New York, but he also recognizes how vastly different the two worlds are.

So not only are the JL hella confused about how they could call the Ghost King, but now they're hella confused on how they're friends with the grim reaper?? Batman is also still hella confused on how they're on friendly terms with a death god, but also that's the guy who more or less kidnapped his son?? And JLD just never told JL?? WHY??

Keeping the age changing ability (inherited from Clockwork) Danny has in the Lair of Mystery au makes it even more confusing cause the JL couldn't really pin down a reliable description since he always switched between the form of a teenager and an adult.

I need to make a master post for all my prompts. This is getting a little out of hand. Also, did I just throw in a possible marvel crossover idea? Possibly? Am I gonna expand on it? Probably not. Maybe. I haven't decided yet.

I'm also realizing that Leslie could be a thing in both AUs now, in a way. That's awesome.
